Sign ups: Here "And you're sure that the sign up is correct?"The look that gurder received from carter was something that took years of practice, understanding and knowledge of the intricacies of the mute's emotions. Something that gurder didn't have anything of. So of course there was an eyeroll from the petermon as he tinkered with the broadcasting tower of the 'homing' signal for those that had signed up for the mission. It was certainly strong enough for them to home in on if they needed to; not like the entry of the worn temple wasn't massive enough to herald a crowd of onlookers itself or anything. "Never quite once heard of any of these people... Then again when was the last time that we were back in civilization proper carter?"The petermon shrugged his shoulders and kept on fiddling with the signal tower, maintenance on this thing was a must and it also helped keep the crowd curious. Just what was he doing to this thing many of them would ask? Some even went through the camp, picking at the old tents. Only to be shoo'd away by the Arbormon with a huff. Spirit user, Solo digimon and... tamer?"The petermon stopped what he was doing and leaned to stare at the arbormon for a few moments. Shrugging his shoulders again. The weather thankfully wasn't making maintenance difficult and there was a rare spot of shade from the clouds in the sky. If one had to guess it was around noon but with the lack of actual time pieces in the camp itself? It'd be hard to tell. Of course once the petermon was done with 'maintenance' he'd go sit by the front of the large temple entry. It was still firmly above sand thankfully, as they had spent quite some time using the arbormon's powers to pull the sand away from the temple. Making the temple seem like it was 'down' even though it technically sat well above the normal 'line' of the desert. "I hope they get here soon... maybe they'll make sense of what that poor chap was saying!"The petermon couldn't help but let out a silent sigh and simply shake it's head. This scenario was already so out of sorts that the digimon didn't even know if he should bother trying to explain. Not like the Arbormon would understand his gestures or writing...

A silvery blue portal opened up near the camp through it one could see the windswept green grass of one of the floating islands. A much larger, familiar floating island looming in the distance though it looked a bit shabbier after the recent change in regime though whatever circumstances had come about didn't seem to effect the tiny little red digimon that trotted through the portal. "Thanks Uncle Logane! Be home soon!" She called over her shoulder the the exasperated BanchoLeomon that stood on the other side and waved at her before the portal closed. Leaving the tiny dragon to sit down on the sands, her tail twitching excitedly as she took stock of the situation. At least until she spotted the Arbormon in question that had sent them the message. Brightening noticeably she trotted right up to him. "Hi!" She chirped with a bright grin, "I'm Eris! I'm here to answer the mission request about the Temple!" The Gigimon explained offering out one tiny paw in greeting.

That was all he need. The notion of exploration, especially in places that he swear could be related to ancient egypt data? Hell yeah, count him in. Yuuki was happened to be nearby when it happened. After clearing up some of his schedule with Jill, both the human and the partner immediately started blasting toward Rustport. It's a sight definitely, considering that the human is riding a Cerberumon X.
They said fight the helldog with another... ha, just kidding.
"By the way I'm sorry but I don't think I can help much in this mission, Dad." a voice could be heard from Yuuki's D-Nexus. "Sorry, but my data haven't stabilized enough for Perfect."
"Completely fine, don't worry about it, Haku."
Inside the Digivice's Digital Field, far vaster than those of normal Digivice is Haku, Hikaru's son. The Samogaomon for now is acting as a moral support for the two active participant.
"Ah, turn to the left, I think you'll see it soon."
"Roger. Well, the homing signal definitely loud enough for us... ah, we're the first?" Yuuki asked.
"...No, I don't think so. We're the second."
"But I seen no one here beside us and-- is that a baby?"
"A strong one for sure. I can just feel it."
And that's when Hikaru finally stopped. The Cerberumon X lets his partner down before sitting on the ground himself, waiting for the third person.
"Itou Yuuki. Here's my partner, Hikaru, We're here as per request."
D-Nexus hopefully will be an asset in here. Hikaru meanwhile looked at the small bean and smiled gently. Something about this Gigimon reminds him of his kids back home.

The third member of this small expeditionary force would arrive not long after Yuuki. A lone human trudging along the desert without a vehicle...most might see him as either stupid or insane. Or both, but he seemed none the worse for wear due to his foresight to bring plenty of water and a large cloak to shield his body from the sun. Thankfully the journey wasn't too terribly long and he still looked ready to participate alongside everyone else "Aw, am I the last one here? Sorry if I made you all wait. I'm here now."
He looked at those gathered and waved to them "Looks like we'll be working together for a while. Nice to meet all of you, I'm Toki Akiyama." he said. He took a look at Eris and tilted his head slightly. He can't recall ever meeting a Digimon that prefers being in its baby form over something like Rookie or Champion. It took all of his willpower to not just kneel down to pet her and shower her with affection. He settled on kneeling down and giving her a warm smile "Hey there! Can't say I've met a Digimon who prefers to remain in that form. You're brave to come all the way out here on a mission. You ever need anything just let me know and I've got your back." he said. He knew to always assume that Digimon were stronger than their appearances let on. He wouldn't say she shouldn't come along or stay back. He'd just offer her his genuine assistance.
He stood back up and saw Yuuki, who's introduction was rather formal. They heard about the job and they wanted to come out here and do it. He nodded to them "Seems to me we've got a pretty solid team here. I've been to these deserts before and even one of the ruins out here...but this seems...bigger." he said, clearly a little worried "But I look forward to seeing what we can do in there."
Once introductions were done he'd address the Petermon "So what can you or your friend tell us about the interior of the temple, if there's currently any information to go off of?" he asked, doing his usual routine of gathering as much knowledge as he could before commencing a mission.

"A portal? Curious!"
The attention of the Arbormon was quickly gained by the little mon as she stepped out of that portal. He wanted to go inspect it and see if it was stable enough to allow multiple individuals to step through at once and perhaps ask a dozen or so questions to that Leomon on the other side but didn't even get to as it closed far too quickly! Carter on the other hand simply raised a brow, noting that indeed the first one to get here was... Well the solo digimon that had signed up.
"Ah yes! I am Gurder. We're just waiting for... the others now? Are you... certain you're ready for this Miss Eris?"
Gurder would extend his hand downwards, though noting that it was large enough to probably engulf the smaller digimon he gently took that paw with a pair of fingers before giving it a firm shake. Wether or not that was the intent that was what he would try to do!
Carter on the other hand noted the approach of the tamer quickly tapping Gurder's shoulder before gesturing towards the oncoming duo. Gurder perked up at this, noting that these ones were a little.. older than what he was expecting from a human. Or older looking perhaps? He was always used to dealing with children from the human world.
"Welcome welcome! Uh... Thank you for coming. We're just short one more and... Huh?"
Another tap on his shoulder and the petermon would gesture towards the approaching individual. A lone human... trudging out in the desert. On his own. Definitely something that would register as strange to gurder, but before he could even really act on that particular thought train carter made a gesture that looked eerily similar to what some spirit users did to digivolve.
Ah yes, that would make sense. No fret at all if you're the last one here! What's important is everyone is here. Yes. Yes. Everyone. All... Four? Four. Four?
Gurder would turn his head to the petermon, who looked somewhat exasperated and had the 'save me' look on the visible half of his face for an instant before nodding. It was a quick round of introductions and then the last to arrive even had a few questions and statements!
"Yes a very solid team, not very often that we get a solo digimon, a tamer and a spirit wielder in the same group! But alas Carter can't really tell anyone anything unless you've got a pen or paper handy. Poor chap is a mute! Not by choice but by design mind you.
The petermon shot a look to gurder who cleared his throat before starting back up. Even going so far as to pull out a journal... which quite clearly had a well used pencil attached to it. Carter just managed to roll his eyes and simply cross his arms.
"Well from what we can tell from the calligraphy from the inside of the temple that our scout was able to get scratchings from this is quite literally 'Temple of the ancients'. A resting place for some of the most powerful housed artifacts of a long dead empire that once sprawled the folder desert. Our scout, the individual from the prior team was able to explore.... I want to say thirty to fifty percent of the temple before running into an odd Anubismon."
Gurder would turn the journal around to show the drawings of the anubismon which were surprisingly accurate. Even giving scale of height to the scout for reference. It was much bigger than a normal anubismon, had many more sigils and wrappings on it's body... And a metal looking head. Though it seemed to be lacking it's trademarked staff in any of the drawings. Carter would lean forward to tap on the anubismon's hands, giving a firm shrug as if pointing this out.
"He was able to locate three rooms, two held artifacts and one the anubismon. Something about bracelets and a mask but... he passed out very shortly after telling us the information. Poor sod hasn't woken up yet. Eh? Carter? Oh. Right. Here.
The petermon took the journal, flipped a page and scribbled something on it before handing it back to gurder.
"...Right the.. That. Yes. So for some reason we believe it's tied to one of the artifacts or perhaps the anubismon itself. But there's an odd data effect that's in the temple itself. See after a certain 'level' digimon start taking a large amount of constant damage from the temple's energies. It's only after ultimate that this starts to be an issue. So Carter here has come up with a device? Sigil? Device sigil? Sigily device? that will restrict any higher forms you may have to the power of an ultimate."
Carter let out another silent sigh and made a few gestures into the air, indicating that yes indeed it was a sigil. Even going so far as to trot off to one of the tents. The sound of rummaging could be heard before he came back out, holding up some very crude looking sigils made of metal.
"See if we had better materials available to us carter would of made higher quality sigils. You can affix them to yourself like a necklace or buckle or in uh. Well if you want you can load them. Should suffice for about.. how long?"
The petermon mused for a moment and then held up three fingers then gestured at the sun. Making the 'sleep' motion afterwards.
"...Three days?"
A nod shortly followed and the petermon would offer the sigils to the group.
"Three days. So yes three days if you load them which.. well should be more than enough time you recknon?"
An eyeroll and then a nod.
"...Yes quite. So uh. Any questions? Do you want to see the scout? Perhaps eat something? Eh... Lets see here..."
Gurder would seem to pat himself down and frown, being largely mechanical all he really required was maintenance and some other things which the petermon seemed capable of providing... for some reason.

"Don't worry! I promise I won't slow the party down," The little Digimon exclaimed beaming at Toki, Yuuki, and Hikaru before growing a little sheepish, "I mean I sometimes have a hard time evolving, but it won't be a problem I swear." She promised before beaming up at her partners for the missions her little tail wagging in excitement. "It's nice to meet you three! I'm Eris of Icy Fate! Daughter of the Legendary Hephaestus and together we'll vanquish whatever evil lurks inside this temple and...and..." The little Gigimon floundered a bit here, "And free the scout and find all the treasure! Yeah that!" She added seeming pleased with this idea before casting the Arbormon and Petermon a reassuring smile though it faltered a touch at Arbormon's casual mention of the poor Petermon's disability. "Hey~ hey I have some paper and a pencil if you need it?" Eris whispered sidling up to the taller humanoid Digimon concern written clearly on her face as she glanced between the excited professor and his clearly exasperated assistant. "I brought a lot for taking notes in the temple, but I doubt I'll need it all. Still if the scout is hurt and in a coma because of something inside we probably shouldn't waste any time in starting," The Gigimon explained worry for the poor unfortunate Digimon that had fallen prey to this place bright in her eyes. "I'll just wear my sigil around my neck if that's ok. Thank you for making them Petermon!" Eris chirped though with luck she hopefully wouldn't need to evolve.

Gee, my heart is melting... this is probably one of the cutest baby Digimon I have seen lately...
Eris is definitely a sight for the sore heart. Even Yuuki have to admit that. He smiled and nodded. "Counting on you then, Miss Eris."
He then turned to Toki and gave him a respectful nod. "I'm counting on you too. Maybe let's talk about the role distribution after we hear the explanation, yes?"
Have he been on this desert and the ruins before? Yuuki can't recall... but one thing for sure is that he want to get out of this in one piece. That goes to all of them too. Either way, Yuuki took out pen and notebook of his own. Three rooms, two with artifacts, one with Anubimon? The Anubimon doesn't have a staff?
"Is that normal?" Yuuki asked to Hikaru.
"The size definitely isn't. Neither does the metal helmet part... but one thing that makes me curious is the staff, it's as if it's a mutant or an X variant..."
"Curious... but I feel this is closer to the actual mythological Anubis..."
"Sadly you can't speak ancient egyptian language huh?" Hikaru teased.
"Don't joke around like that. Languages are not my strong suit."
Sadly when it comes to these 'evil', he's not sure if the Anubimon is evil at all or not, considering that they're taking the route of a graverobber. They're the one who's trespassing and they'll most likely will run against that guy sooner or later... Hopefully later instead of soon. However, Yuuki was frankly surprised that... he was supposed to hold on to this artifact that apparently lowers down Hikaru's level to Perfect but when loaded last three days and three nights?
"........Will the mission takes that long?" he asked to Gurder.
...Hmmm, whatever the case was is, he have one question. "How large is he damage? Is it strong enough to be compared to a Digimon's attack?"
At time of emergency, it's best to have equal standing with the Anubimon... that and... After hearing whatever answer they give, Yuuki called out to his teammates.
"Alright, can we talk a bit? As much as I want to start first, we need to talk about the roles... if you two doesn't mind I mean."
He first whipped out his Digivice, the D-Nexus, with its smartphone-like design. "My Digivice can help us in navigating the corridors. With this, I hope we won't get lost... It also can scan structural composition and alert if there are traps in the way. If your conclusion is I want to be a scout for the team, that's how it is. I'd like to be a scout, but I don't have the confidence in reacting on time for any enemies. That's why I'd like to ask you for back up in case Hikaru's hands are tied.
Second... As you can see, Hikaru is Cerberumon X. Part of his ability is to mark every single Digimons and moving object in 50 meters area... He'll be aware of how they moves. The evolution is Plutomon... which only upgrade this ability to point of he's aware of everything in this area. However... part of the problem if the Anubimon have passive that tracks undead... Anubimon can homes in Plutomon.
I'm not sure if he can homes in Cerberumon, but other form sadly won't be suitable for him. Only Alphamon would be small enough, I think... With that I have said my parts."

Toki smiled warmly at Eris and her eagerness to help out "Well then we'll do our best too, Eris. It's inspiring to have someone like you on the team." he said. Such a wonderful group they have going on here so far. It made him optimistic for the future of the mission. Eris seemed rather passionate about this and had a rather impressive family and motivation. It was quite the sight to behold.
Then, he listened to the Arbormon speak about what was to be expected. He brought a hand to his chin as he thought "So they found a couple of rooms with artifacts and the last one they were able to explore had the Anubismon. After that they came back and passed out." he worried about what all of this meant. Clearly whatever in the temple was strong and in the hands of someone who either didn't know what they were dealing with, or knew full well. Either situation had so many variables "Going into this blind could be really dangerous. It's a shame we won't be able to get much information from the scout given his condition but I don't really know what else we could do. Though what he said before passing out could be of importance. A mask...and bracelets. We should keep those in mind as we proceed."
He accepted the sigil gratefully and wore it around his neck. "Thanks. Three days, huh...sounds like quite a lot of exploring if we're expected to stay for the duration. I've got food and water bottles, but if there's a place to stock up here we'd better do that before going in."
When Yuuki asked them what roles they would like to play in battle, Toki explained "Well my Ultimate form, Lagosmon, is pretty much a heavy lifter. I can hit hard both at close range and from a distance, and I can defend the group if need be, though hopefully the structural integrity of the temple can handle that. Aside from my combat skills I'd like to think I'm fairly good at problem solving, so if there's something within the temple that seems confusing I'd love to offer my insights and see what we can all come up with."

Gurder blinked rather owlishly as Eris claimed that she wouldn't slow the party down, then further following suit by stating she had a hard time evolving. Carter shot a look at gurder who just simply managed a small shrug. At the re-assuring smile however carter simply just patted at the top of the smaller digimon's head. In a venture that could easily mean thank you or don't worry about it.
"well with you here, Carter and I will be able to focus on treating the scout. Well. Focus more on it rather than... signal beacon?"
Carter gave a small shrug at the question that was more or less poised towards him. There was a little bit of chatter between the tamer and his partner, earning a curious headtilt from carter. However when Gurder was addressed he'd pause and consider.
"The temple is huge, absolutely massive underground. But considering that the scout was only able to find three rooms likely indicates that those are the three rooms of note not all of them? I'd say your focus should be to find these three rooms."
Gurder hesitated and looked to carter. Whom simply gestured to himself, made a wide movement with his hands before sort of doing this little finger movement.
"Big enough to be a problem for long periods, I'd say it's considerable to heavy damage? Thus the need for the sigils."
Gurder blinked when toki addressed the information that he had shared. Simply nodding as he went. Though the whole part about going in blind only made the arbormon shoot a look at carter who simply sighed. Sagging his shoulders with a firm shake of the head.
"So it's best to take things slow. But yes, three days if you load it. Else the sigil should last for longer or until the item itself is broken."
Carter perked up at the mention of the 'structural integrity' bit of the temple and quickly snatched the notebook away from gurder who seemed surprised at the sudden fervor his companion had. He'd scratch out something and then scribble something else down before holding it up.
Most of the temple while ancient is very durable, when digging we used grade A explosives to get rid of rocks in the way and the temple exterior wasn't even scratched. Suffice to say, if the anubismon is as powerful as it is, it's likely that the temple is extremely durable to allow it to 'go all out'. But that's just a theory. My suggestion is to deal with the anubismon and any other threats first before trying to find the artifacts.

"I can evolve to ultimate if pressed, but I think my champion form will be of more use! I can evolve into a Sealsdramon!" Eris chirped tail still wagging happily though she was content to let Toki take the lead in the planning. Nodding her head along at the suggestion of stocking up on resources before they go in.
"I've got an infini-store I can put things in!" She suggested holding out a little leg to show the pouch strapped to it. The mouth of which was held closed by a drawstring to let it expand to put items inside.
"But the rooms do sound important. We should also take some chalk to mark our path with in case digital mapping fails us. The last thing we want is to get lost. I mean I could evolve into my big ultimate form, but if the stone is as durable as they say I'd probably just squish myself. I am tiny enough though in this form to wiggle through a lot of holes and other small places!" The Gigimon vouched beaming up at her partners.

This is good enough, Yuuki noted. All of the team members are thankfully cooperating, and this is a good start. "Of course, any sort of insight would be helpful. Four brains are better than one after all. Well, now... About chalks, I have some. Just in case I'll give some to you guys. Hold to it if you want." As he said this, Yuuki passed some around.
Either way the focus seem to be finding these three rooms. Thankfully he packed enough foods and whatnots... three days though... hopefully he'll be able to function well enough under stress for that long. He never been underground for that long... However, just in case, he'd rather keep into the sigil for now.
And it's seem the structure is very strong... Good enough he guess.
"Well there's nothing else to discuss here... But just a warning: If this follows in line with the Ancient Egyptian lore, then we're the tresspasser here. We're the "Evil". If we take the artifact then we're "graverobbers". Therefore, my suggestion would be careful. If the Anubimon is open for dialogue though, I'd like that. Stay respectful to the ancient, and we'll be fine... I hope. However, at the same time... if the Anubimon attempted to kill us and our safety is in jeopardy...
...Best prepare to counter. Let's proceed with that in mind."
Yuuki immediately ride on Hikaru, who slowly walked inside the complex.
Now... a Dog of Hades...facing against the guardian jackal of the underworld huh. Which one would win, he wonder.

Toki was glad someone came up with the chalk idea. He was a little embarrassed it didn't occur to him. They were going into uncharted territory for the most part. Any way to mark their progress could be a life saver. "Good thinking. Having some way to mark our progress will be invaluable. Though we should think of a certain way to mark things discreetly so that if anyone decides to try and erase our progress, they'll have a harder time finding what we've marked. Maybe lightly mark the corner walls of hallways or at the base of doors..." he mused.
Eris was too cute for her own good. Intelligent, helpful, chipper...she was just precious and fun to be around. "I should invest in one of those infini-stores..." he muttered to himself as Eris brought the item up.
Toki accepted the chalk from Yuuki "Awesome, looks like we have this settled at the very least. No need to worry about a lack of chalk." he said, nodding his head. Yuuki spoke that they are technically the evil ones for trespassing at a tomb "Hm...you have a point there. We should focus on finding Anubismon first before attempting to take anything. Maybe we could all come to some kind of understanding. Though if talking doesn't work then I won't hesitate to defend myself and everyone else."
It seemed as if they got all of the information they were going to get "Well then, take care of the scout. We'll do everything we can to investigate the temple and what exactly's going on in there, but if things are this unknown we can't promise complete success. Not like that's going to stop me from trying, though. Regardless, I'm ready to go when you are."

With the group agreeing to move on and the two mission givers having their own things to take care of. Gurder with the scout and Carter with turning off or even dismantling the signal booster all the group would get from the both of them was a small wave or nod.
The entry of the temple was as one would expect from an ancient civilization. Massive, intricate, overwhelming. The sheer pressure of just walking up those ancient steps told stories of their own. The weathered material gritting under boot or paw, telling a thousand times over that others had come before them. Others would come after and that perhaps they'd simply find their steps reversed at some point or another.
Thankfully due to the scout there was a few lanterns outside of the temple entrance. Either sitting there flickering by the side or planted against the wall. The massive doors that led inside spoke of ancient times. The hieroglyphics matching if not at the very least mimicking those from ancient Egypt. There was discrepancies here or there, missing parts or even blank slates entirely. The doors stood open, inviting the group to enter. If the group wanted they could simply inspect them, interact with them or even take scrawling from these doors.
But once they stepped inside, the doors would be quickly forgotten. This first room was actually surprisingly small. The only thing 'big' about it was the entry, which reached up rather far. Twenty feet tall at the very least, a few lanterns here or there. Dimly lit but it was easy to see that there were more hieroglyphics for the group to inspect if they so desired. In the center of the room was a single pedestal, a metal helmet much like that of the anubismon that they were warned of was untouched and a small warning sticky note on the edge of it. Likely placed by a scout. It didn't read anything specifically, other than the exclamation point.
The three halls, one left, one right and one behind the pedestal all yawned open. Each of them having their own marker sticky note. Likely left behind by the last scout before they succumbed to the pressure of this place unprotected. The two side passages had question-marks on their notes, while the third had a matching exclamation point, but this one seemed to be drawn more hastily than the others and was over another sticky note.
It should be noted that the moment that any individual steps too close to the helmet on the pedestal they'll feel that strange pull of the place against them. The defense of this place harshly stopped by the sigils that carter crafted.

"Huh I guess the exclamation marked hallway must have been the one the scout went down. Since the others both still have question marks," Eris mused trotting right on up to the pedestal only to pause and shiver as the weight of the temples signal crashed against her own charm leaving her to feel briefly nauseous till she adjusted to the feeling.
"Blech," She gagged shaking her head, "That's an unpleasant feeling," The tiny Digimon griped before sniffing at the helmet though she made no move to touch it.
"He probably placed an exclamation mark on the helmet cause it looks like the Anubismon so it shows that the exclamations will lead us to him," The Gigimon suggested turning to glance over her shoulder at the others, her tiny tail wagging with excitement.

Yuuki, being the ruins lover obviously decided to took every single photos of the murals, hopefully he could gain some clue to it. Too bad he's not someone who could read any of this. Not even with Rosetta Stone, sadly. Hikaru preemptively declared to the human something along the line of 'Don't you think my language database have anything remotely close to be able to read these'. Either way, they entered the door... and found some
"Perhaps, or it's some sort of warning to not approach," Yuuki mused, agreeing with Eris' idea. "Thankfully I don't need to be too close to the masks to actually scan it for information."
The human whipped out his D-Nexus and activates its scanning ability. Hopefully with this they could know what's up with this. With the pull like this it almost felt like it's a cursed object that forces one who's too close with it to grab and wear it or something...
Either way... Three ways huh...
Yuuki first examined the one with the exclamation mark, wondering if there is any more clues than just simple !. If it's written over another stick-it note, then there must be something underneath, right?
"...Stick-it might be better than chalk considering how it would defile the place up honestly," Yuuki muttered. "Sadly I don't bring those. Anyway, Hikaru, do you feel anything?"
"I'll inform you if I got anything. But for now, I don't feel I sense anything honestly."
"Mmmm... So anyway, guys, which way do you think we should go to? To the ! or to one of the two ? I feel like it's much better if we go to the one that has yet to be delved... Part of me felt like if we keep going the same route as the previous scout, we might... find the Anubimon. But I feel if we don't have any leverage against it, we'll not have proper dialogue..."
"Either way, as scouts, we'll follow the majority's decision. Our goal is to delve as much as possible." Hikaru added.
Action: Yuuki activated D-Nexus'scanner to check the properties of the mask and the walls. Hikaru's Entrance to Hades passive activated: Entrance to Hades: Everpresent field where the 50m radius area around Cerberumon X is now marked for Hades Field. In this sort of state, all target is within the area is always within Cerberumon X's watch. Thus, regardless of the skill enemies uses to hides themselves, or mask their presence, it's useless against him. Field of Hades cannot be eliminated, deactivated, or sealed.
