No. This isn’t how things were going to be. Dio got in front of her, he knew the dangers. He knew the risks. Her cannon was something beyond powerful and getting that close was only a danger like this. Honestly the bloody sovereign was targeting her with some form of fire attack, yes it hurt. Yes she felt it burning against her body but she released the attack all the same. If dio was smart he’d dodge to the side, do something that let him avoid her attack. She wasn’t going to pull any punches here. So in that vein her attack would fly forth and it was up to her team-mates to see her uncle unharmed. If she avoided using the attack she wasn’t going to be able to follow through with a strong attack for quite some time after all! There wasn’t much she could do otherwise right now, she had thrown a lot around at this point and she could feel her energy reserves getting dangerously low. Too much longer and she’d be out of this fight and would have to let her friends fight for her…. Which could be a problem if the bird was still up and going! Log: -Holly continues her attack even with Dio in the way. -Holly takes Desolation blast, damaging her further. She’s pretty worn out at this point! Passive: Iron Lord|Combat Passive: If it is one thing, Baihumon is durable. It's fur being beyond that of natural limits is made purely out of a digizoid fiber of sorts. It's strong to the point of having a heavy resistance[30%] to all forms of damage. At the cost of moving much[30%] slower. Water attacks weaken the fur considerably and disable this passive for three posts upon successful contact.
Charged-Air|Combat Passive: This digimon is putting off a constant barrage of electrical currents into the air. Arcing off of it's fur, the orbs and metal that it's body may possess. This hyper charges the local area that the mon is in. Creating a field of sustained damage to those that come too close. Friendly individuals find that this field deals no damage to them. Deals light damage to any without electrical resistance. If struck by a water attack this negates the passive for three posts. Hundred foot range.
Hyper-Regeneration|Combat Passive|RAM UPGRADE: This digimon is capable of regenerating a medium amount of damage per posting round. Upon being struck with any enemy attacks it is boosted to a heavy amount of regeneration for three posts and then goes on a cooldown of Six posts afterwards. Healing abilities, status effects, defensive abilities or otherwise friendly/unfriendly abilities stall out this regeneration for the duration of effect.

There was a point where things were taking a toll upon Coolmon. Chaos reigned in this battle, that much was certain, but as the bird spoke, something simply....snapped within the Justimon, so to speak. She hadn't been grinning and taking anything--the intended purpose of her shield, that being blocking Yamato, had been fulfilled.
Justimon pressed forward, converting her Trinity Arm into the likes of the Blitz Arm as she sought to take advantage of the fact that the phoenix had not seemed to make that attack with her in mind. She had to get away from the fireballs and the blue light, but otherwise, she had free reign to add in on the lightning.
A flurry of lightning-based mines soared forth for the face of the beast, and it was a flurry that would likely be difficult to maneuver around if it remained there. Relevant Passives: One for All: Justimon is inspired to fight harder based on how many allies she has present with her. She gains a 20% power increase for every ally of hers present in a battle. This caps out at 50%, three allies. Increases in increments of 12>12>13>13. Twins count as one singular entity, and mercenaries are exempt from this. 3/3 - F U L L P O W E R
I am Here: Justimon is immune to fear-based effects. Why? Because there’s nothing to fear when she’s there.
Heroine: Justimon is -JUSTICE ITSELF.- Do you think it’s easy to break? FOOL! Coolmon gets a 30% flat damage reduction in this form! Coolmon's getting tired of your shit, God. She fires Blitz Massacre after making an effort to move away from Holly.
Trinity Arm: Blitz Massacre: Justimon switches to the Blitz Arm and fires a hail of electric spheres. She has two options from here. She can either cause them to rain down akin to a rain of fire or arrows, or she can leave them floating for three rounds of combat, leaving her opponent...in a haphazardous situation. Either way, should they find purchase, they pack quite a wallop in terms of electric volts. Three turn cooldown.
Cooldowns: Beyond Infinity: 0/LMFAO Digizoid Barrier: 1/3

In many ways, Holly was indeed right: Dio understood the obvious risk of charging a god head on, or charging into the fray in general. If anything he was surprised that Zhuqiamon didn't simply smite him down right there and then, which made the ensuing attack from the demon almost dissapointingly easy to land on the bird's chest, but it didn't take long for the demon lord to notice he was right where the Phoenix wanted him. As he saw its massive wings flapping down onto him and restricting his movements. Just as he braced himself for what was to come, a pulse of pain coursed through his entire being, an energy discharge seemingly coming from Holly quite literally pierced through him. For but a second said pain brought back memories of a similar pain he had felt before, all that time ago in the library.
"Like mother, like daughter huh..." He thought to himself for a moment, his mind meandering as if to distract him from the electricity forcibly travelling around his body. For a moment that felt like an eternity to him he could feel most of his energy quite literally burning up and banishing, his strenght waning as his vision blurred.
It would have been incredibly easy for him to give up right there, let himself fall back to the ground and fade out. But there was something keeping him from doing that. Not just some sort of warped sense of duty, or the desire to protect his family below, but also something far more easy to explain, more in line with who Dio was.
Pride.
Pulling his numb mind from out of the darkness and back to consciousness he roared, screamed and snarled, as if to let the Sovereign know it would take more than that to get rid of him. In one single, focused movement he'd push all the energy he still kept within himself, his body being swallowed by dark flames that exploded outwards in one massive conflagration and would probably catch the Phoenix in their wake if it didn't move away.
Back on the ground Gio found himself standing his ground, raising his claws upwards and closing them, as if trying to catch something flying in front of him. Which was rather accurate, as the Zhuqiamon would soon find himself being held down by a large digitized claw emerging from below, attempting to stop the bird from taking flight further away from them. That's all Gio could do for the time being, trying to keep the massive god grounded else it got away and rendered all their efforts moot...
Dio takes damage from Holly's Hyper Nova Cannon, but doesn't stop him from using Hellgate. Gio meanwhile uses to try Dark Claw-Subdue and pin Zhuqiamon down for a bit longer.
Hellgate: Belphemon gathers energy from his surrounding, before releasing it all in a powerful explosion of flames that devastate said surroundings (50 feet). If empowered by Dark Onslaught it will deal even more damage and cover a 150 feet area. Both versions of this attack are much more unstable than the rest however, and as such will also deal damage to any allies caught in the blast. Three posts cooldown.
Dark Claw – Subdue: Summons from the beneath the enemy a giant claw of pure energy that attempts to grab on and restrain it’s target, keeping them in place and dealing minor damage for a turn, as well as making the afflicted target take more damage from any fire related attacks while they’re restrained. 4 turn cooldown.
Cooldowns:
Dio: Red Volt: (3/3)
Dark Onslaught: (1/5)
Dimension Cut: (1/1)
Hell Gate: (0/3)
Gio: Infernal Monsoon: (1/4)
Dark Claw - Subdue: (0/4)
Yamato (2/5)

Holly didn't even hesitate - and the Sovereign didn't even notice.
The fledgling god still had its hands full trying to keep the Belphemon restrained, the beast 'gritting its fangs' as the Justimon skirted around the edge of its inferno. Those electric spheres would soar down to its head and detonate - not overly damaging, but enough to throw off the Sovereign's sense of sight. That annoyed growl carried as Gio's makeshift claw gripped right around its frame.
Ingrates.
All it needed was one more moment, one opportunity. But it wouldn't come: Dio's explosive flames blocked the Sovereign's vision forward, just as the Baihumon's cannon roared out, tearing right through the center of the Belphemon's body. The blast carried right through the Sovereign as well, the beast's eyes shooting wide with shock, its break pried open with a shrill shriek. The Beelzemon would fall down to the soil below, limp and battered, as the Soveriegn would stagger backwards, data stripping out of its chest.
It couldn't maintain. With one more hellish cry to the sky, the Sovereign's frame would brighten up to a peak, and in the next moment, burst outward in a powerful deluge of data, the orbs surrounding it cracking as they skipped off into the distance. Impressively, in all of this, the diminutive Hawkmon would fall to the ground in a heap, down for the count and for the moment, unresponsive.
Silence fell across the battlefield for several seconds, as Wizardmon slowly lowered the group to the ground.
"My word... for it to come to something like that..."
"Forget that right now." Moeru cut off the Wizardmon, and took a look around. "The tamer? Where's that tamer?!"
"The old coot? He dipped out right when the bird showed himself in the first place." The Datamon shook his head. "Wizardmon, methinks you're going to get in trouble with the council again for using mission patrons like this."
"Oh, I can hardly be blamed for this one." The sorcerer sighed. "I'd ask if everyone's alright, but..."
He held his staff up, a green light shining right over the injured Belphemon.
"... That might be more hopeful than anything else."

If she had hesitated, even for a moment… The outcome would have changed. There wouldn’t of been a victory. There wouldn’t of been that data splashing on the floor, going into the air. There wouldn’t be a moment where the others could take a moment to breathe. That vision that cut out, her beam that tore through dio… and then straight through the sovereign? She heard that shrill shriek of the giant bird.
But that was the last thing that she really did hear, as she felt the world shift and crumble under her. The baihumon slammed face first into the dirt; sides laboring as she struggled to keep herself going.
This was the first time that she had ever taken super mega. A massively overbearing power that many rightfully could never achieve. It was a rare thing for most civilians, most people didn’t even think to dream of it. But holly knew that her family and the friends they kept were anything but normal.
The last thing she saw before darkness started to creep in was the hawkmon falling to the ground in a heap. Slowly did she try to creep her way forward. Only to find her body was slowly scrawling into data. She felt it tug inward and after a few long moments… In her place was a soft glowing light… Replaced by an equally as soft egg. Barely over a foot in height, this egg hummed with a gentle power as it solidified. The soft white surface and the gentle lines of digitext that wrapped around it were the only real activity from holly the rest of the group would get from her...

"Ssssshit, did that guy even leave any tracks or anything?" Aya didn't regularly swear, but when she did, it was probably very warranted with everything that had happened in this mess. Justimon on the other hand, just pointed a finger at the Hawkmon. "Interrogate this waste of space, I need to...do my thing..." She managed as she started towards Cas, dedigivolving down to Pucchimon before she made a valiant attempt at using her Pucchi Pulse.
Wizardmon had Belphemon covered. She'd probably be better off over here before she passed out. Speaking of, the literal moment she was done with that technique, Coolmon keeled over, dedigivolving further into Punimon. "...Bluuuuuugh." She spat. "Well, we have an egg and a Punimon...Think we should pack up and get going? Or is there anything else you guys need to do?" Aya inquired as she stepped over to pick up the egged Holly, while Punimon...rolled over to her. Aya was at least careful with picking the egg up. To think that turned into a giant cat...

And just like that, almost abruptly the Sovereign finally fell, massive amounts of data leaking on his way down as he crumbled to the ground, the massive frame of the fire bird dissipating and shifting back to the Hawkmon from before.
At the very least, Dio could now tick off the act of deicide of his lifetime goals list. The adrenaline surge that came from that realization was almost enough to block out the pain. Almost.
Soon after Dio would too fall to the ground, landing just slightly more gracefully than the Hawkmon as he pressed his clawed hand against the hole that Holly had tore through his chest, as if to try and keep the data from leaking out. Honestly it was almost a miracle he was still conscious, though the Wizardmon's quick help ensured his life was no longer in any immediate danger as his magic quickly sealed shut the wound. As the light enveloped the slowly shrinking Belphemon he would let out a rather pained chuckle in between his labored breathing.
"That...was exhilarating...and I don't want to go through that ever again..." The now impmon shaped rookie quipped, looking back up at the group with a tired smirk, before falling on his back, no longer able to stay awake. Gio meanwhile was in a rather similar situation, the mega having devolved back to his gigimon form without much fanfare as soon as the threat was dealt with, and was now resting peacefully nuzzled between the arms of his still rather shocked tamer, who still seemed somewhat shocked at the sheer display of power that they witnessed, looking almost unsure if they were actually alive or if this was all some sort of death's door induced hallucination.
Regardless Aya's question was a good one, had that old man really gotten away that easily? He wouldn't have minded giving him a piece of his mind over this whole shitshow, respect for the elderly be damned. Then again, even if they could find him, there was no dealing with him in their current state.
"I imagine our job here is done either way, right?" Carlos said half sarcastically, half sincerely as he carefully picked the imp up, carrying him on one arm while he held his twin on the other, before he glanced back at the egg that Aya was carrying and sighing. Hopefully Holly would pull through soon...and hopefully the Doctor wasn't going to give them too much of an earful once he saw her current state.

Tracks? Aya's question did get the Datamon's attention - however, the machine could only return a shrug. "He used a portal to get away. If I was thinking about it at the time, I might have been able to trace the signal to guess about where he is, but my scanners were already being overloaded by the Sovereign as it is. Unfortunately, we're going to have to chalk that one up as a loss."
"Not that its all bad, though..." The Wizardmon looked as the Deputymon - data dissipating away from his prior Justimon form - plucked up the Hawkmon by his back, keeping his wings pinned underneath his shoulder and his foream. And, somehow, the Wizardmon managed to more-or-less seal up the wound in the Impmon's chest. That 'magic patch' was quickly followed by a physical one, however, the Wizardmon using a roll of bandages to carefully wrap around the Impmon's injured chest.
"Unfortunately, I think that's about it..." The Datamon gave a sigh, as the Wizardmon returned Dio to Carlos' care. Moeru, oddly the best equipped for it, carefully held the wounded Beelzemon over her shoulder, his eyes pulsing a faint red. "She's so close to 'tipping over' that its starting to set me off... tch..."
"Anyway." The Wizardmon raised his staff - a bright, luminous portal opening right in front of them. "Whitewater Medical. After all this, you all need to take a load off. Don't worry, I'll write you all a favorable report for this mess."
Mission Complete!
