It was very late in the evening, and the small woman felt her heart beat rapidly with anxiety. She checked her phone for updates and apparently the weather was still raining heavily, she could almost hear the it from outside. She could occasionally hear thunder and lightning strike, breaking the terrifying silence with a worse noise. She had spent the day visiting her so called twin sister, while born on the same day, for the last half a dozen years they looked like her twin was an elder sister. She always had mixed feelings, while she loved her sister, she couldn't stand always having to look up. It could stem from the fact that she was more successful yet still lower, but she'd never act on her hurt pride as she tried to soldier on and ignore the pain.
She was offered to be walked home by her sister and her new boyfriend, but she declined, she didn't want to be talked down to like a child or treated like she can't do anything on her own. Arriving at the train station alone was risky enough in the day, but no one else was around. Lights occasionally flickered from around, her train was due to come shortly. She tried to hide the fact that her anxiety levels was through the roof at this point. Her hands traced over her pocket that held the large device with a lot of power, capable of turning her into a more powerful being.
However the device was acting odd this day, the screen kept lighting up blue or white randomly. However at one point she thought she saw a one word message written in red, "RUN!!" but it disappeared before any information can be gathered. She kept checking her phone periodically, and still the same result, barely any signal, if she moved from the bench the signal wood die out. She pulled out her Digivice and cycled through it, staring at the totem and fragment within her possession, and wondered if they were responsible for what was going on with the recent behavior of the D-Tector. The air was still and stale, Akimi put away her Digivce, and sighed.
"Not like they'd tell me anything if I asked anyways." She said, before taking out the necklace she acquired from a previous journey, a gold pendant with a black gemstone. She couldn't figure out how it remained even after spirit Digivolution, nor has any limited research drawn results. She couldn't even figure out it's composition, some sort of matter not fount in this world. Her eyes moved around, there was an uneasy feeling consuming her body it was as if there was something lurking, a monster in the shadows.
