Even after she had found her way to the Trailmon Terminal, there was one thing that Miko learned very swiftly after she actually took one to the human world. It was that Shibuya was just as nerve-wracking to navigate as Terminus had been for her. Was -every- city like this? Probably not, but traveling through two cities that were equally as loud meant that Miko had been especially jumpy throughout her travels. Never mind the fact there were so many humans! Soon enough, however, Miko had managed to, against many odds, make her way to the place she had been looking for. A square, surrounded by apartment blocks. But the contents of said square were of far more interest to her than the apartments. No, within that vegetation lay her sister's shrine (as far as she knew, anyway), and...well, she thought that paying her a visit for some advice would be wise. After all, she could use -some- guidance in her life every once in a while. The bronze-furred Renamon, however, made a bit of a...mistake in her approach. Namely, she bore no holosuit, and was approaching in broad daylight, too. She was weaving past vegetation in search of the shrine, and it was honestly a miracle she hadn't been seen -just- yet. To the people of Shibuya, Inari was known as Sora Yakumo, a human miko taking care of the small shrine that had managed to withstand the encroach of the city for years, offering a bit of green and quiet among the turmoil of Shibuya. To Inari, the best way to hide was in plain sight. Surely, none of them would expect a Digimon to have such a public persona.
On this sunny day, a number of locals were enjoying the weather among the foliage, watching the branches sway in the wind as Inari swept the dust off her shrine steps. The shrine steps only numbered 8, with the shrine being a small building on a small hill, but to her, it was the principle of the thing that mattered. The last thing Inari expected on this day was for a Digimon to appear from between the vegetation. Much less a very familiar bronze fox. Her eyes went wide, and she hurried to meet her, lest someone spotted her.

This didn't quite bode well. Miko hadn't expected there to be people visiting the shrine today...Perhaps she should've waited for nightfall. Even worse, however, she was spotted. Miko didn't quite have any indicator that the human moving towards her was in fact her sister until she actually got close.
Not that the fox remained still, of course. She retreated back into the vegetation in a bit of a panic, but the damage had likely already been done. Figurative damage, that is. Of course, when the human drew even closer, Miko finally made the connection from the garb.
...Was that human her sister in disguise?
"Si...Sister?" The fox inquired, quietly.

Closer inspection did show Miko that this human was, indeed, her sister Inari. The human looked exactly like her sister's Sakuyamon form, just without the pointy ears and the facial markings. She looked left and right, and then sighed, dropping the hologuise, revealing the silvery Renamon beneath it. Despite being the middle child, Inari was the tallest of the three miko sisters, having at least a head over Miko. Inari then took a hold of her sister's shoulders, and hugged her tight. "Miko, what are you doing here...? It's incredibly dangerous out there now, ever since -they- returned." Inari was not the kind of woman who got angry, ever, but the upset tone in her voice was the closest she got to it.

Honestly, Miko did not expect it to be so easy to find her sister, especially in a big place like this and on such vague details about the shrine. The bronze fox hugged the silver one tightly, not quite understanding why she seemed so upset at the moment, and not quite realizing that her coming here, though done with good intent...was also a rather bone-headed move.
"I-I figured I could use some guidance, and...well, that's why I decided to come here. You've usually managed to help me when I feel lost...Though, I don't think I know at all who 'they are....'" Miko trailed off. Were 'they' humans? What could they be?

Inari listened, and nodded. "You made a wise decision, seeking out your sister for advice. This place is a sanctuary for Digimon in the human realm. Certainly, I would be happy to help you. But it was careless to just walk around undisguised. They are on the lookout. They are DATS, a government agency dedicated to hunting down Digimon and sending them back to the Digital World, no matter who they are or why they are here. They are an evil that does not care for nuance. If they had seen you, they would have pursued and subdued you. Come now, this is not a good place to talk. Let us go up to my apartment." She then gave Miko her cloak, while putting on her Holosuit once again. Then, she told the humans present that she will be gone for a while, and waved Miko after her, to lead her up into the apartment block.

Miko had to admit that this...DATS was an entirely foreign entity to her. Hunt her down and send her back? But she just...got here! An explanation was required, one...beyond what she had just been told. There had to be a good reason for this, right? If a reason at all? "I-I see...Wait, you...have an apartment?" Inari really did live here. Not at the shrine itself, but...in this world. It was easy to see why she would be so upset at these DATS individuals.
The fox took the cloak offered to her, and followed Inari after the coast was clear. She was far more watchful than ever, now that she knew what danger lurked in the world... "...They're not here, are they...? Or are they everywhere?"

Inari nodded to her sister. "Yes, I live here, in an apartment. I may be a Digimon, but this world is my true home, and helping our kind here is my true calling." Soon, they were ascending the stairs to the apartment. "DATS are not as omnipresent as they could be, but they are a government agency, that means other government workers, such as policemen, could very well tell them about us. As such, it helps acting like they are omnipresent. But they cannot look into my apartment, I have made sure of that." That much was clear, as the door to her apartment had a big ofuda applied to it. It read "Sora Yakumo" on it in big, calligrapher Kanji, and much smaller under it "Digital Wave Exorcism". Inari opened the door, led her sister in, and quickly closed the doors. Shedding her holosuit, she tapped an old monitor at the bottom of the clothing rack with her gohei. It flashed to life, and vines grew out of it, covering the walls. A small brook emerged from a nearby closet and ran into the bathroom along the walls, creating a pleasant sound. Miko was then led to the living room, where the bronze fox soon found herself mobbed by all sorts of In-Training Digimon, rubbing against her and greeting her enthusiastically. Inari smiled. "So, what has brought you out here, sister?"

Miko wondered how her sister had been so...resolute in this. Moving to an entire other world and dwelling within it for the sole purpose of aiding their kind here. Now that she thought about it a little more? Ramona had already told her about DATS. Her own sister echoing this unintentionally just confirmed that this was a serious issue.
...And that she should've been a little more careful. Miko had been lost in her thoughts as they entered Inari's apartment until she tapped the monitor and nature itself spread into the room. As well as a -lot- of babies. She was actually startled by the last bit, almost jumping at the mob. The fox moved to pet a few of them before she glanced to her sister.
"I...don't know. I guess I just feel kind of lost in terms of what I should be doing. I've heard nothing from Xuanwumon. Those in charge of my training keep sending me to do the same things...What should I be doing? I want to help people, not do the same dance at the same place in the woods a million times..."

Inari scratched her chin. So her sister had come because she had grown weary of the rituals that their position brings? She wishes to rather help people? A noble effort, indeed. "Helping people is a noble goal, sister, but how would you go about doing that? Yes, there are certainly many issues worth taking up, yet where does one even start? Do you watch over lost children? Do you protect the innocent? Do you grow food for the hungry? Even our duty as shrine maidens is doing good, for serving one of the Sovereigns is a job that the Digital World depends on. Perhaps, you would need to think about what you would be rather doing. Something active? Passive? Dangerous?"

Inari's deductions were, sadly, right on the mark. Miko was incredibly weary of the rituals that were expected from those in their Sovereign-ordained positions. It wasn't hard to figure out why, she had been the youngest of them. Youth, of course, incites rebellion sometimes. If this could be called that. Really, it didn't fit in.
"Something more active than simple dances! I want to protect people! Help the suffering! Not bless empty places!" Miko sat up as best as she could in this tide of babies, and crossed her arms. "I don't know if I want to do dangerous yet, but...Hnnngh, this stuff's boring. I don't know if it's for me or not..."

Inari fell silent. Ah, the follies of youth. The desire for action. She remembers them. She may only be the middle child, but she was still very old herself. She remembers moments like these. They were the catalyst that led her to eventually settle out in the Human World. She rubbed her chin, thinking. "Are you sure you wish to engage in dangerous situations? You have so far led a life of quiet, of peace. You may not be accustomed to danger. Perhaps you can help me, join me for a day, then you have a view of my every day life." She tried hard to not sound condescending, but it was the truth that her sister had been sheltered in the safety of the family rituals so far. The dangerous parts of being a Digimon had not yet reared their ugly head. If she desired danger, she'd rather want her to be lowered into it, slowly.

Youthful as Miko was, she wasn't an idiot--she didn't view Inari's words as condescending. "No, no, I don't want to do stuff like that just yet. Just...less boring stuff, really." She was quick to clarify. But, there was truth in the words of the middle sister. Miko had led a life of quiet. A life with no burden or danger aside from that which the maidens had carried.
Indeed, this fox knew not of the dangers of being a Digimon.
"I-I'm willing to join you for the day, though. I don't know what goes on in this world, so following you around should...should give me the proper insight I might need." Of course, Miko didn't know the -full- extent of Inari's duty in this world, so this would definitely be a learning experience.

Inari nodded. Her sister had made a decision, and as worried as she was, she would honour it. "Very well, you shall wear my holosuit. I am very sure they can sense Digital Signatures, and I have more experience in dodging their prying eyes. So, I shall wear the coat instead." She grabbed the small device which activated her hologuise, and gave it to her sister. "Then, once you wear this, we shall go down to the River. Very often, Digimon get washed out of the Digital World by it, the same way humans often end up washed into the Digital World by it." The River was, of course, the legendary Shibuya River, that hidden waterway-turned-sewer, which was one of the few places one could reach the Digital World from. A relatively slow start, all things considered.

Holosu--...Oh. Miko shook her head a few times. "T-There's no need, uh...I...kind of just remembered I bought one before I got here..." It makes sense the government would be able to track those signatures, but the suit would definitely be able to elude wandering eyes. "I-I can still do the go down to the river part, though. It'll just be us wearing our holosuits, then."
Miko knew where and what the River was, at the very least. If there was any explanation as to why humans kept ending up stranded in the Digital World, it was because of that river of filth. Did Inari...genuinely find Digimon being spat out from that place...? "Digimon getting washed out of there, though...?"
