The Shibuya Train Terminal, it’d been a fairly long time since Ami had last been there and going again was really on a whim.
School had basically taken over her life, though she didn’t mind too much and spending time in Miyashita Park after school was often fun she missed sitting down in the busy terminal, watching people walk past.
She missed watching people come and go and waste hours away in this strangely relaxing environment.
Well...I know I have to be home by 5:30 but...an hour couldn't hurt....
She walked in staring at the people rushing past, she kept the wall and found her way to a bench sitting down.
She slipped into her brown satchel and pulled out a notebook, looking around she started to sketched based off of what she saw. At least, a little.
She drew the terminal but how she imagined it would look filled with animals and nature, surprisingly it wasn’t too bad an image to think about, the art however…didn’t turn out how she wanted.
"I guess there isn't much interesting stuff today..."
Ami looked back to the train and watched people beginning to board. Looking at the young children excited for their first train ride and the older children bored for having done this many times.
She turned her page and sharpened her pencil while she observed. Despite the busy nature of where she was Ami could easily begin to imagine what where they were going. Where the train was planning to take them and what kind of adventure they were going to have.
An idea came to mind. Ami began to sketch rapidly. Losing herself even to the reality and noise of where she was, it didn't really effect her too much...she didn't even know how long she had been drawing for before a noise she didn't recognise interrupted her thoughts.
Beeping.
It was rapid and high pitched. At first she assumed it was someone’s phone, what else could it be? While she tried to ignore it and continue her art she couldn’t help but think…
Why isn’t anyone reacting to it? It’s still going… Ami looked up again, no, no one was reacting. She couldn’t see anyone taking out their phone or even acknowledging that there was a sound and the more she listened the faster the beeping seemed to get.
Ami couldn't help but wonder why the people were all being so oblivious. The beeping was loud enough to drown out the sound of the bustling train terminal.
Am I the only one who can hear that? Is it all just ringing in my ears...?
The idea that she might be hearing things didn't sound very appealing to her. Ami tried to think of some logical reasoning as to why she was the only one seeming to react to it.
“I wonder…maybe someone lost their phone or something?” Ami stood up, putting her notebook away in her satchel. She pulled her brown coat sleeve up revealing her watch “it’s about 5:00…”
She sighed slightly, her mother wanted her home by 5:30…She was a little nervous, she didn’t want to waste time…but…if somebody had lost their phone then maybe she could find it? Ami almost laughed at herself.
In Shibuya Train Terminal? A small 13 year-old-girl could find a phone that has most likely been trampled by now? Even if it wasn't, she had half an hour. What was she thinking?
But something inside her just screamed adventure, sure…it wasn’t a very big adventure but it was an adventure. Well...my mum always says that kindness is the best virtue...surely she can't get too angry if I'm late...? Right...?
With that Ami made her decision.
Okay, let’s work out where that beeping is coming from.

It was a rainy day in the Digital world. Well, at least it was raining at the gate of the terminal. Both Desmond and his partner was leaning on the wall close to the doors just underneath the small arc that sheltered them from the rain. The reason that they weren't inside yet was that Demi, the DemiMeramon, was having fun poking at wet ground. His finger would touch the water and small sizzling sounds and a tiny bit of steam would raise up making the Digimon giggle. The small fireball would repeat that process a couple of times with a large smile on his face. "Hehehe!" It was easy to see that it didn't take much to entertain him.
Meanwhile, the blond tamer had his headphones on and bobbing his head to the music. He didn't mind being outside because it was cold neither. And besides, he liked that Demi seemed to be very happy right now. He had his cellphone in his left hand and was looking at what songs to listen to next. After a short while, the rain began pouring heavily and the DemiMeramon floated back a bit and looked at the small drops hitting the ground in front of him. "Desmond! Desmond!" He shouted while tugging on his tamer's leg. "Look! Look!" The Frenchman placed his cellphone back into his pockets and then removed his headphone, letting it rest on his shoulders. "Yes, I can see the rain." He softly said as he looked down.
"Can I go in the rain?" The Digimon asked with puppy eyes. Desmond sighed and shook his head. "No, Demi." He answered with a fatherly tone. The fireball looked down, a bit sad but he wasn't going to argue. Seeing him like that made Desmond sigh again. "Are you hungry?" He then asked making Demi immediately look up and very happy. "Yes!" He shouted while waving his hands up and down. "Let's go inside and get you something." The tamer would open the door for his partner to go in before following him.
Demi quickly began spinning on himself looking for a vending machine or something like that. It didn't take long for him to spot a bright red and yellow machine with all kind of snacks inside. "Desmond! Desmond!" He began pointing at the vending machine while smiling broadly. "Yes, I see it, Demi." The human would make his way there and Demi was following a few inches behind him. Once they got close enough, Desmond picked up the little Digimon and lifted him so he could see what was inside the vending machine.
"Alright, pick one." Desmond simply said. Demi's eyes widened as he tried to figure out what he wanted to eat. To be honest, he wanted to eat all of them but knew that his tamer wouldn't allow that. "I want..." He began moving a finger on the glass for a few seconds before stopping on a sack of potato chips. "This! I want this!" The tamer looked at the price, placed Demi back on the floor and put some money into the machine and got the snack from the small opening. "Don't eat it too quickly, okay?"
And then, they both went to sit on a bench and wait for a Trailmon to come and get them home. For some reasons, the terminal was pretty much empty and very quiet. As Demi was eating his chips, Desmond's Digivice began beeping softly. The blond man quickly took it out and looked at the little device. There was a small blue dot on the screen pointing to his right. He looked that way and saw it was where the Trailmon would come from. Desmond took a moment to check the screen once more and then look at his partner. "Is something wrong, Desmond?" Demi would ask with his mouth full.
"No..." Desmond slowly answered. "Let just wait for the Trailmon to come."

Ami frowned in annoyance, she just couldn't find the beeping noise no matter how long she looked. The beeping seemed to get closer when she passed an abandoned platform...
But she couldn't go in there.
Well...I suppose...that if it's only for a second, Ami sighed. She looked around slightly, for once she was kinda glad that she was a bit small for her age. It made her less obvious. She walked through, adjusting her goggles nervously...
The ringing was getting louder as she neared the entrance the platform itself, it was locked. There didn't appear to be way in... "Oh...I guess that stops that..." she turned, about to leave when she heard something, looking back...it was unlocked?
Ami walked through, wondering why it suddenly opened for her but that didn't stay on her mind. What took over instead was shock and...curiosity as she witnessed the strangest train she'd ever seen. It almost looked...alive... "No, that's silly...now you're just being stupid!" Ami told herself before walking around, "See, doors. Like a Train. A machine Ami"
It didn't seem to be working, which was all the better for her. She climbed in and had a look, yeah the beeping was definitely in here. As she walked down the train she spotted something small on the floor.
"What's this...?" picking it up she raised an eyebrow "you are not a phone" the strange white and pink device in her hand was still ringing as if it wasn't just meant to lead her here.
Suddenly the train shook. Rattling to life. "Ah!? What's going on!?" Ami cried, she realised all too quickly that the train had started...she sat down with a sigh, well, there was no point trying to get away. She might as well wait until it stopped. Besides, she thought, it's such an old train, there's no way it can go for very long.
Ami did hope that the train stopped soon. She definitely felt uneasy, especially since the beeping had intensified, getting more and more erratic as the train moved. Like she somehow whatever was making this device ring like this was getting closer. It seemed like the train was starting to slow, relief spread through her. She hadn't been on it long so she couldn't have gone far.
"Oh, I cannot wait to get off," The device continued beeping to the point that it was getting really annoying. She put it in her satchel hoping that would muffle some of the beeping. She really hated drawing attention to herself.
However coming out of the train left the poor girl utterly confused. The terminal was empty aside from someone and their...pet...? What kind of animal is that...?
"Wh-What...is that...? Where am I...?"

Desmond was quietly sitting on the bench looking at his Digivice while Demi was shoving chips into his mouth. The Digimon was quite happy and couldn't ask for more now that he had food. The blond tamer kept his attention on the blue dot on the little screen while tapping on his leg with his right hand. The soft beeping was getting louder but not annoyingly loud. Maybe he was getting used to that beeping sound. While it didn't happen every day, it wasn't new to him. The tapping sound wasn't very loud but it was the only sound besides the beeping and the sound of Demi eating.
Demi began humming in between bites after a while and began moving his head side to side. His tamer was still looking at his Digivice by then. Desmond lost track of time after a little longer when the sound of a train moving could be heard. Demi emptied the rest of the snack inside his mouth and began looking around him to find a trash can. He did spot one rather quickly but there was a tiny problem, he couldn't reach it from where he was. He began poking Desmond on the leg to get his attention. "Huh?" Demi showed him the small bag and pointed to the trashcan with his other hand. To be honest, the tamer was glad that the Digimon did not just throw it on the ground.
He took the bag and stood up and began making his way to the trash bin. A second later, the sound of a train coming got louder and louder signaling that it was nearby. Desmond quickly made his way back to the bench and sit down. They would have to wait for the Trailmon to go the other way to get home. But he wasn't in a hurry, he noticed that the time in the Digital world was much slower than the real world. He did not know how much slower it was though. The beeping got louder but the noise of the train was almost drowning it.
As the train stopped moving and one of the wagon's door opened, there was a girl with goggles on her head that looked very confused. Neither of them said anything at first. Desmond looked at her with no much expression on his face while Demi had a very surprised look. When the mysterious girl asked what he was, the Digimon pointed himself. "Me?" He asked before tilting his head on one side. "I'm Demi! I'm a Digimon!" He cheerfully shouted. Desmond stood silent for a bit longer to let her get off of the train. "Erm..." She looked quite young to be here and he had no clue on how she managed to get here as well.
"You're in the Digital world!" Demi then said out loud. "This is Desmond! He's a human!" It was then that Desmond stood up and realized how tall he was compared to her. The fireball also got off the bench and held his hands together in front of him. "Are you lost? You look lost!" The blond man sighed and saw that his Digivice was not beeping anymore and that the blue dot was now in the center of the screen. "Erm... Yeah, I'm Desmond, Desmond Edmund." He paused to show her his Digivice. "Would you happen to have one of those?" He then asked.
"Desmond! Desmond!" Demi was tugging on his tamer's pants. "Can I hug her?" He asked while giggling. "Please?" The Frenchman would sigh and shook his head. "Not now, Demi. Give her some space." The Digimon looked down for a second looking sad making the human sigh. "You can ask for a hug later, okay?" Desmond turned his attention back to the girl. "Don't worry, Demi is harmless, you are safe." And he paused to take a step to the right and point to the bench. "I know you must be confused but please, do not worry. We are not the bad guys."
"Would you like to take a seat or have something to eat?" He didn't want to impose himself on her so he thought that it would be better to explain when she would feel a bit more comfortable.

Ami froze after being introduced to them. Desmond seemed nice enough and he said his Digimon was nice, not that Ami was exactly sure what a 'Digimon' was.
When he asked about the strange device she blinked in confusion. She was speechless. The creature beside him, 'Demi' apparently, seemed friendly, it wanted a hug for goodness sake though despite being told that he was perfectly harmless Ami couldn't help but feel threatened by the strange creature.
What is going on!?
Ami fiddled with her goggles nervously, she didn't want to seem rude when he offered her a seat. She smiled awkwardly and walked over sitting on the bench. As for the food offering she declined it, right now her stomach was whirling with nerves and worry. Food wouldn't make her feel any better. She decided, before anything else, she had to introduce herself after all Desmond had done so despite looking a little confused himself.
"Uh, alright." She took a breath trying to relax herself "My name is Ami Kurino, um...hello"
She looked away very confused. Digital World, Digimon!? If this was a dream, then this was the weirdest dream she had ever had. Deciding to answer Desmond's question from before she pulled out the pink and white device. "Uh, as for what you asked before, about that" she said pointing to the one he had in his hands "I do have one, I found it a few moments ago inside that train, what is it?"
Once she got started on her questions, her nerves took over sending her reeling into a slew of questions. "And what exactly is a Digimon? What's the Digital World? How did I get here from a train? And 'We're not the bad guys'? That insinuates that there are bad guys here!" a red blush started to creep up her neck.
Ami knew she could be slightly overbearing when it came to her questions and she immediately apologized. "Oh-Oh...sorry I don't mean to ask so many questions, I hope I didn't annoy you...oh! And I didn't even say thank you and...agh..."
She shook her head, sighing in awkwardness. "Jeez, I'm sorry, way to go me huh?"
After relaxing it clicked to her exactly how different she and Desmond were, he was taller, he looked like he was older too, she wasn't sure by how much and the taller part didn't exactly surprise her, though... "Um, let me start again. What this device? I assume you know right? Do you know why it was beeping, I swear I have headache now from all the noise" she giggled, trying to make everything a little less strange. After pointing that out she took a look, it wasn't beeping anymore...and it had a dot on the screen, right in the middle. When Desmond had shown his, it was the same.
Are these, picking up on each other? She thought, while silently hoping she hadn't embarrassed herself with her tiny spout of '20 questions'

Demi extended both arms wide open when Ami told them her name. "Ami Kurino!" He shouted with enthusiasm not knowing that being a Digimon was maybe making her feel uneasy. He would then spin on himself while saying her name once more. "Ami Kurino!" Desmond was standing in front of the girl with the goggles and now that she was sitting on the bench, it was very clear that he was much, much taller. "Nice to meet you, Ami." As she showed him her Digivice, the blond tamer went to look at it carefully. It was indeed a Digivice. That meant that she is a tamer, well, should be one with that in hand. And if she found it on the train, then maybe the Digivice wanted her to be here. Desmond sighed, poor girl looked so young compared to him.
"That's a Digivice." Desmond said slowly before putting it back into his pocket. "It erm... Allow Digimon to change." He didn't know that the term was Digivolution. "Well, it allows your partner to change into another, most often a bigger form of themselves." He was speaking slowly not because he thought that it would be easier for her to understand. He was trying to find the right words to say. "And Digimon are... Erm..." He heard that question many times before but never really answered it correctly. "They are like animals... But some of them are erm... Plants, rocks, metal beings and everything in between." And he then pointed at Demi. "Including fireball." The Digimon threw his arms into the air once more. "That's me!"
"The Digital world is... Like our world but not really?" Again, it was easy to see that he was struggling a bit there. "I mean, it's a weird world and it isn't the safest place to be in... But it's not hell on Earth neither." He didn't want to say that everything out there could kill them but he didn't want to hide that it was indeed dangerous, especially if you are alone. "As for how you got here... That's a Trailmon..." He then turned around and saw that the train was not there anymore. "That is also a Digimon." Demi was now laughing while hiding behind his tamer's legs.
And he quickly regretted using the term, bad guys. "No, no." He swiftly said before sighing. "I mean, yeah, there's some evil Digimon out there but you are safe here and Demi and I will make sure that you stay safe." He paused for a second to let everything sink in. "And no need to apologize, we understand. Trust me, we have also been there." Well not exactly in that position but close enough. "As for the beeping... I'm not sure." He admitted. "Sometimes, it seems like it has a mind of its own. It will sometimes show us where to go next. Most time, now that I think of it."
"So I guess, that means that you are here for a reason." He wasn't exactly sure why most everyone here had that little device and even less on why they brought them here. "But then, you seem... Young?" He didn't want to sound like he didn't believe in her. "I understand if you don't want to stay here. There should be another Trailmon going to the real world sooner or later."
"Attention, attention! Due to a small incident, all Trailmon are now on hold until further notice! Thank you for your understanding!"
Desmond sighed. "Well, I guess you are stuck here then..." The blond tamer would then sit next to her. "How are you feeling? I know it's... Complicated." Pausing for a second to look at his partner than was trying to climb on his long legs, the human then bend forward to pick him up and let him float on his laps. "Would... You like a hug?" Desmond slowly asked for Demi who was smiling broadly. "Don't worry, it won't burn you. Just a bit warm but no burning." He placed a hand on the fireball's head to demonstrate. "See? All safe."

Ami listened quietly to Desmond's explanation. She could tell the he was a little nervous himself.
His quick explanation calmed her down a little bit. Though she still didn't understand she had managed to make sense of what she believed were the relative points. Most 'Digimon' appeared to be friends and she must be here for a reason because of that 'Digivice'.
Ami couldn't help but smile a little when she thought about the Digital World. A world like ours but different, that's basically what he said...it sounded like every kind of story she'd imagined yet she had no doubt that this was real. At first hearing that another train or trailmon could pick her up soon was good, it was a shame that the terminal overrides it. "Oh...I see..."
She glanced at her Digivice. "This sometimes leads people places?" She looked up as he sat down next to her...his next words made her jump "A...hug?" she looked down at the fireball looking creature.
It seemed really excited...and they'd been so nice to her, she can't be rude...besides that a good hug from a friend always made her feel better and she just knew that Demi was going to be a friend...or at least...it wasn't an enemy....
Ami smiled down at Demi putting her Digivice away in her satchel.
"Uh...yes, actually, I'm think I'm a nervous wreck. I could use a hug"

After hearing that Ami would indeed want a hug from him, Demi threw his tiny arms into the air and floated to her and did his best to hug her. "Oooooh!" He then said out loud. "Desmond! Desmond!" The fireball took a big sniff and closed his eyes. "Something is wrong, Demi?" The Digimon giggled before speaking. "She smells good!" The Frenchman rolled his eyes. "You should smell her too!" Desmond sighed. "No Demi, I'm not going to smell her." He really hoped that his partner didn't make her feel uncomfortable by doing so.
When Ami asked Desmond if Digivices lead people to places, the tamer nodded. "Yeah, I'm still not sure how it works exactly, though." He wasn't to lie to her. He just looked down for a moment and bit his lip. "I just... Listen to it. Maybe too blindly." He then shrugged after admitting that. "I guess I'm just too curious." The older man turned his head to look at the younger girl and smiled. "I guess that it also led me to you, or maybe it led you to me." He paused and then placed a hand on Demi's head. "You can let go now, Demi."
The Digimon would hold on to Ami for a bit longer before letting go and look at her face. "You give good hugs!" It was very easy to see that he was full of glee. He smiled at her and then went back to his tamer's laps. "Sorry about that." Desmond quickly apologized just in case. "He gets excited easily but he means well." The fireball began laughing upon hearing that.
After saying that, Desmond heard a soft beeping sound. He placed Demi next to him and took out his Digivice. It wasn't beeping. He pressed on one of the buttons but nothing happened. He stayed silent for a moment and pressed another combination of buttons but nothing happened. "Do you hear it too, Ami?" He then asked without looking at her. He didn't think that maybe it was hers that was beeping again. "I hear it too!" Demi said while looking at the blond tamer's Digivice.
It would take him a few seconds before looking at the girl next to her. "Huh. Could it be yours?"

Ami blushed as the small fireball said she smelled nice. "Uh...uh...I uh...wouldn't...um...."
Desmond managed to convince Demi to get off of her. Ami smiled gently. "Well, um...thank you...." Desmond gave a quick response to her previous question and she paused. "Led me to you?" she asked "But why would it-"
There was beeping again...Desmond looked at his Digivice in confusion. He looked at Ami when he realized it wasn't his, asking if she could hear it too. "Yeah I can"
He asked if maybe it was hers and she looked at the white and pink device curiously, it was beeping. It had a pink dot on the screen, it seemed as if her Digivice want to her to follow. "Hm, it does look like it's mine...b-but is it really safe to leave here Desmond? Surely we should just wait...right?"
He shrugged, she glanced back at it. "I do want to know what that is though..."
Ami stood up Digivice in hand and looked to her new friends. "D-Do you guys want to come with?" she asked, adjusting her goggles again.

It took Desmond a few seconds to come to the conclusion that this new beeping might lead her to her partner. He saw that happen before but it could also lead them in a completely different place. The tamer knew that it should be safe outside, more or less. But he wasn't going to say that to not make her overthink about his choices of words. He stayed silent for a moment as Ami stood up. He took a moment to think before speaking. Demi looked at the Frenchman face with puppy eyes. "I wanna go with Ami." The fireball said. "Don't worry, Demi, I do too." The Digimon's smile came back immediately as the human picked it up to put him back on the ground.
"Well, we won't let you go on your own that's for sure." Desmond said before dusting his pants. "You will be safe with Demi around." His partner looked up and giggled. "We can follow the dot, let's go slow though. It's pouring rain out there." Well, it was raining heavily when they got into the Terminus. "Speaking of that, do you have anything to shield you from the rain? I won't be surprised if it got colder too." He paused to have a proper look at Ami. The brown coat might be enough but he wasn't sure how warm it will be. If anything, he would offer her his jacket, he still had two layers of clothing on him. "Also, why the googles?" He asked with curiosity. "Is it just fashion?" Desmond doesn't really follow the current trends anymore.
Desmond would wait for Ami to answer before pointing to the door. "Ready?" He asked before slowly going toward the door but would wait for the girl to be next to her on the right side. Demi would be on Ami's left side, floating a few inches above the ground. "We'll be by your side, don't worry." He softly said with a smile. "We won't let anything happen to you." As Desmond placed a hand on the door to open it, he quickly saw that it was now sunny. That was perfect because Demi wouldn't be safe under the heavy rain of before. "Well, I guess I was wrong, no rain anymore."
And then, Desmond stopped moving with still holding the door open. "Erm... Before we go outside, do you mind telling me how old you are?" He wanted to ask it before but knew that she had questions of her own. And he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable by asking about her age. After that question, the blond tamer quickly cleared his voice. "You don't need to answer if you don't want to."

Ami smiled at Desmond.
She felt far more comfortable with him now and was secretly very happy he and Demi wanted to come along.
She didn’t know what she would find but it wasn’t so scary to think about anymore.
“Don’t worry about the rain, my coat won’t get very wet and it’s pretty warm too so I’ll be fine”
She adjusted her jacket and buttoned it up. She giggled when he asked about her goggles and smirked.
“As for the goggles…” she answered, glancing up at them “Honestly, it’s not fashion people at my school wonder why I wear them. They’re not really meant to be practical…I guess I just wear them cos I like it”
Desmond walked ahead to the door and Ami followed, with Demi floating close to her.
“Yeah, I’m good to go” Ami answered to him, he quickly assured her that she’ll be safe and she laughed giving him a smile “Desmond, you don’t have to tell me that. I trust you”
He opened the door and they saw the sun shining out.
“Good, as much as my coat can handle rain my goggles cannot. My mother would be very confused as to how I got wet when it was such a nice day”
Desmond turned back to her, quickly asking how old she was.
Ami raised an eyebrow when he quickly cleared his throat and added that she didn’t need to tell him.
“Don’t worry. I won’t be uncomfortable being asked my age Desmond I’m 13” she smiled “Seriously though Desmond, you don’t have to worry I’ll be fine with almost any question you ask”
With that a thought came to mind...she looked at him as they walked outside, not even noticing it yet. "Uh, Desmond? I have a couple more questions, but how old are you? And when did you meet Demi? You two just seem like you've been friends for a very long time"
Ami was still getting used to this whole idea of Digimon and the Digital world though she was super excited to see it. She felt like Desmond was a bit of veteran at this sort of stuff. She was curious to learn how he met Demi. She looked at her Digivice then back to him. "Uh, also. Where do you think this is going to lead?" then she looked at the dot on the screen and asked "or...what is it going to lead us to...?"

Desmond laughed a bit when Ami told him that the goggles are there because she likes them and nothing more, nothing less. She then told him that she trusted him and that made him smile. But then, she told him her age and the tamer stopped moving. At first, he wasn't sure if she said that number or that he didn't understand it. After a second of thinking, he was pretty sure that she did say that she is thirteen years old. He wasn't sure why her Digivice led her here seeing how young she is. He sighed, there was nothing he could do about that. "I'm... Twenty-two." He said while holding the door open. He would then fully open the door to let Ami go first. "After you."
Demi would follow the girl while humming. "I met Demi in the real world. He appeared one day at the same time that I found my Digivice. He was trying to eat my cellphone." He paused to look at his partner to see if he remembered that but the Digimon just kept humming. "We spent a few days together, I was very afraid at first. And then I just realized that he was harmless and just wanted food." Pausing once more to see if Demi would react to what he said, which he did not. "I let him watch a movie on my Netflix account, on my laptop. After the movie, he wanted to watch another one so I went to pick another one."
"Then, the screen went white and the next thing I know, I was here, in the Digital world." Desmond said while scratching the top of his head. "I forgot how long we been together. It has been a long while... But you will see that time here isn't the same as in our world. It's a bit confusing." By then Demi had stopped humming and was now looking at his tamer with a smile. "We have been through a lot. Met some people, most of them had a Digimon partner with them."
"So my best guess it that your Digivice might lead us to your partner." He said while shrugging. "I can't tell you how far we will need to travel to though. The screen is pretty small and while it's the only thing we got, it is not very useful as a map." Desmond was now walking next to her and would peek at her Digivice from times on times. Being tall allowed him to easily look at her device. His attention went at the direction the dot was leading them but it led them to a wall. A house's wall to be precise.
"I guess, we need to get around that house..." The Frenchman then took one step forward and touched the wall. He would then began tapping the wall randomly. Demi soon joined him and he too began tapping the wall. They did so for a second and then look at each other. Demi seemed a bit confused at why they were tapping the wall. Desmond sighed before putting his hands inside his jacket's pockets. "Yeah, it's a real wall." He had to make sure that it was really solid and not just an illusion.
"The entrance can be on either side but I think that your Digivice just points in a straight line..." And turned around and made his way back to Ami. "Left or right?" He then asked as Demi also made his way back to the two humans.

"You're Twenty-Two? Wow, it must be cool to be old enough to drive and stuff, I can't wait till I'm an adult"
She laughed as he held the door open, he looked a little awkward about the age difference. "Thank you" she smiled walking in before him. Ami started to walk, Desmond behind her, they were using the Digivice to try and find...whatever it was leading them to. As they walked Desmond told the story of how he and Demi met. She smiled at the story, it really was sweet how they met then he commented that they may find her partner here... "M-My partner...? You mean that there's a little creature like Demi running around that could be my partner?"
She noted that he kept peeking at her Digivice, she didn't mind it. They ended up reaching a wall though. Desmond examined it quickly then looked to Ami, asking which way they should go. "I think right, we can always come back if necessary right?"
She started to walk around gesturing to Desmond and Demi to follow. "I wonder what Digimon my partner will be" the more she thought about it the more excited she got "Thank you by the way Desmond, you didn't have to come with me. Or deal with my continuous questions, I mean I kinda just dropped in on you" Then she looked at the small fireball. "And you too Demi" Ami looked down at her Digivice, it was starting to beep a little faster. She looked at Desmond curiously, showing him the Digivice. "Does this mean we're on the right track?"

Desmond didn't remember wanting to be an adult when he was younger. He never really thought much about his future. Well, he couldn't drive until he was twenty due to Japan's laws but then, he didn't own a car anyway. It was a good thing that there are enough ways to get around Shibuya. To be honest, he was now a full-time worker and it was good enough for him, having the money to get his own food and all that. He was also his own boss so that helped a lot. He can close his shop for a day or two to come into the Digital world without worrying too much about money.
The Frenchman nodded when Ami asked him about getting a partner. "Well, I'm pretty sure that it won't be a floating fireball. There is a lot of different Digimon." Desmond looked at his partner that smiled back at him. "Maybe it will be big, maybe it will be small. I've seen all kind of them." The tamer said while moving his left hand up and down to mimic what height her partner could be. "I'm not entirely sure but, I think that it won't be that big though. Digimon can change forms so they vary a lot but I think most tends to be smaller."
When Ami told him to try right, he nodded and began walking slightly in front of her and Demi. "We are happy to come with you." He simply said. "Yes, we are!" Demi shouted as he spun on himself with his arms in the air. It was easy to see Demi was excited to meet someone new. Desmond was a bit harder to read but he thought that way too.
As the beeping got faster, Desmond stopped moving and looked around. Next to the house, there was a small bush with brilliant bright flowers. The tamer stayed in front of it as Demi went closer to look at the bush to smell the pretty flowers. Desmond would wait for Ami to come closer before looking at her Digivice. The dot was pointing to somewhere near them. Being taller, he moved his head around to look around them not giving much attention to the bush. "Ami! Ami!" Demi began waving his hand to tell her to get closer. "Come smell the flowers! They smell like you!"
"Desmond" Desmond!" The Digimon then shouted to get his attention. "Can I take a flower?" He asked with puppy eyes but Desmond wasn't even looking at him. "Please?" He knew that it might be rude to randomly pluck a flower from someone's garden or whatever but maybe one flower might be okay. "Just one, Demi." He said still not looking at their direction. Demi giggled and inched closer to the flowers and poked at one of the bigger ones. "Do you want one, Ami?"

Ami giggled as Demi offered her a flower. "Oh okay...just one then. Thank you Demi" taking the flower happily.
Her Digivice was beeping insanely fast now, it was making Ami's hand numb. "Hm? Why is it-"
A loud hissing sound came from the bush causing Demi to back away. "Uh...A-A cat...?" she suggested worriedly. Suddenly some sort of pink furball shot out at her. Ami dodged as quickly as she could "N-No! Not a cat!! Not a cat at all!!"
What landed on the ground behind her, could in some way be a cat...but it was bright pink, it had light pink stripes all over it. What is that!? Is that a Digimon...? Ami wondered. It certainly seemed the case, but it didn't look happy to see them. It leapt at Ami again. "Aah~! Stop! I-I'm not a bad guy!" she cried, the little cat-like creature didn't stop. It was like it wasn't listening.
"Don't pretend like you didn't know what you were doing!" The creature hissed at her "I never let somebody get the upper hand!!" "W-What upper hand?! I'm not your enemy!"
"Sharp Claws!!" The cat cried, Ami ducked, narrowly dodging the attack. She pulled her goggles down to protect her eyes. Okay...these have a slightly more practical use now. Ami could see this cat-like Digimon was going to be hard to stop, seems like she had the whole 'Shoot first, ask questions later' mentality. Ami glanced over to Desmond worriedly. Silently hoping he knew how to handle this...
"Please um...whatever your name is! Stop attacking me, I didn't know you were there! Demi just...wanted to pick some flowers!" Ami smiled slightly "You were really well hidden, though I don't know why you want to hide. W-Why can't...we get along?"
"Get along...?" the cat asked, slinking closer.
"Y-Yeah..." Ami looked to Desmond for help "W-We're not your enemies..."
"You...don't look dangerous, but you still invaded my hideout. I don't risk anyone getting the upper hand against me!"
"And it worked! I-I mean, if we were trying to hurt you, we never could have!" Ami knelt down to the creatures level "Um....let's...start on a new foot? My name is Ami. W-What's yours...?"
The cat sighed and walked a little closer. "I'm Mikumon, rookie level Digimon" she explained "Now tell me what you three were doing near my hideout"
"U-Uh...well...it's...kind of a long story...."
Mikumon sat down flicking her tail back and forth. She glared at Desmond and Demi, then at Ami. "I have time."
