[Plot] A Golden Week to Remember [Group C]

Swiping through his social media, Justice would continue to remain silent as other Tamers and their Digimon continue to mingle among themselves, as well as his two Digimon; something about this just didn't feel right. Instead of being fascinated with the fact that Digimon and humans here were co-existing due to the holiday, he couldn't help but get a nagging feeling that something was about to go down, and if he should stay here any longer. Despite everything being all peaceful and full of life, that could all be reverse in an instance.
He glanced off his phone, seeing Vee and Gummy interacting with the small, red Digimon. At least they didn't have anything to worry about. It was then when another person started to approach them, another Tamer most likely, and picked up the Gigimon in glee. Justice narrowed his eyes in a frown. Seeing how not only him, but every Tamer in this square was not feeling the same way as he was feeling started pissed him off. Are they just stupid, or they not care?
In anger, he walked off from the little circle of Digimon that formed next to the statue, wanting to get to a quiet place. This caught both Vee and Gummy's attention.
"What's wrong with Specs?" Gummy asked, crossing his arms. "It's a human holiday, right? So why isn't he happy like everyone else here?"
Vee shrugged. "Maybe something personal came up or something. He has a lot on his plate right now, so I think it's best to give him some space for a little while."
"Yeah," Gummy respond, "If he's not happy in ten minutes, I'm giving him an explosive hammer tail to the stomach!"
The two then started to pick up an awful stench, almost as if something died. Since Gummy had a most keen sense of smell than his older brother, he had to put his vest over his nose since it was much worst for him. "Ugh, who the hell forgot to wipe their ass?" The two turned around to see a Digimon right behind the statue Eris was on just a minute ago. "Hey! Whoever the hell you are, get your ass outta here and go take a shower!" Gummy yelled.

All of the sudden, Otohime got the attention she wanted. Of course, this caught her off guard and made her fumble. First, she turned towards Zach. Her voice sounded like a girl's first, but then deepened into a sonorous, more androgynous one. "Ah, uhm, uh, h-h-hello Citizen. Am I a tamer? Oh, I am afraid not. I am the Champion of Justice, the Shining Pincers of Truth, I am GranKuwaga Mask!" She then struck another ridiculous tokusatsu pose. There was a brief, awkward silence. She then got back up, and cleared her throat. "I have come here as I have noticed there are Digimon about, clearly in a venture for positive exposure. I have come to make sure there won't be any incidents that could threaten such a mission of peace!" She then turned to Eight. "Oh, I am just back here to make sure all is in order, Citizen! But I shall step forward if you desire it!" She then walked towards the statue to mingle with the group. Which made her catch wind of that bad smell. The two voices in the Digimon's head noticed it, too. "Urgh, smells eggy shit in here! The hell is going on?" "Ah, I d-d-dunno! We better be careful!"

As Satoshi approached and spoke to the interviewer, he realized what he was doing. What was he thinking? He'd never been on TV before. So many people were suddenly seeing him on their screens all around the country, and that made him nervous. However, he was still a representative of AEGIS, and managed to conduct himself in a professional manner.
"My name is Satoshi Himura, and this little guy here is my partner, Gabumon." Gabumon twitched a bit upon hearing himself referred to as "little guy," but he knew that now was not the time to get up in arms as Satoshi continued.
"I am what one might refer to as a Digimon Tamer, someone who has been chosen to befriend and grow alongside a Digimon. There are many others out there like Gabumon and I, and we work hard as Tamers and Digimon to keep the balance between the real world and the Digital World."
As he was speaking, a young man approached the interview area and asked if he was interrupting. Satoshi's eyes widened as he ran a physical description through his head. This guy looked just like one of those DATS agents that Sophie and Tadayoshi had been telling him about. He hadn't seen any of them in person before, but if they were on the scene, then there was a good reason.
As if on cue, Gabumon sniffed the air and bared his fangs. "Toshi, something's wrong." The stench of sulfur was ripe in the air to him, and just like that, the air of pleasantry was gone.

"Oh, then...you really don't have to do that if you're just here to make sure things are okay." Eight nodded, his attention still primarily on the statue. Behind the statue lay one Digimon. It was an Impmon, no doubt about it, but they looked entirely different from the average one. The smiley face lay upon a belt, their mouth was obscured by their long and ragged scarf, and to top it all off? They had a blue glove, too. Oh, and the eyepatch, don't forget that. They crept out from behind the statue, before they looked to Eris. The Impmon may have answered Eris a little differently if Gummy had held his tongue. "...No, n-not really. Not anymore." The Digimon had a slightly high-pitched voice. Probably not what anyone was expecting. Not only that, they sounded a little unsure about something. Hesitant, even. Meanwhile, over with Satoshi, Machine nodded. Good. The man's partner could at least tell something was afoot, especially with that smell in the air. The interviewer meanwhile noted how quickly the Gabumon seemed to shift from a pleasant fellow to someone about to jump at the first thing to move. "I'll...ah. Leave you two alone." She stated, which prompted Machine to wait for her to go back to talking to Tentomon. "Initially, I was going to just try rounding these kids up--but four more Digimon just appeared near here." One could even be smelled. Machine had been about to extrapolate further when a loud, BOOMING voice sounded off, far off from where the man and Satoshi had been. "HUMANS! You seek to CUT the proverbial KNOT that ties us together?! You seek to bring these children here, to give them illusory joy, merely to send them away? We refuse to allow this, not after what DATS has done in the past!"
...What? As if that were a signal, the Impmon threw their right hand forward as a jagged lance made of ice flew forth towards Gummy, threatening to ruin the Gumdramon's vest and more if he didn't get out of the way, or if that attack wasn't dealt with. Eight practically recoiled in surprise at this. "What're y- Look out!" Over with Panthermon? Terriermon paused at the speech given by the as of yet unseen figure. He sniffed the air, before the light of evolution suddenly surrounded him. The natural step up from a Terriermon, Gargomon, stood in his place. "̶̹̆.̶͎̕.̷̢̈́.̶̱͂I̴̞̅ ̶̱͝S̴̹̎M̷̩̍Ẹ̵̀L̴͉̏Ḷ̸̾ ̴̻͐Y̷̱̔O̷̻̅U̴̟̇.̴͖́"̴̻͑That was less a voice befitting a Gargomon and more a garbled, erratic mess. If this Digimon was the only one to take note of him? Then it may as well be a volunteer. Rather than turn in the direction of Panthermon, Gargomon began to spin. He began to spin quite quickly, before the guns on his arms fired forth a torrent of lasers in several directions, some of which threatened Panthermon directly depending on how he moved. Granted...The Gargomon's target was less the invisible Digimon and more -EVERYTHING ELSE.- Buildings, the ground, other people... Oh. Speaking of? That last attack was what sent people into a panic following the sudden announcement. They were running all in different directions. Machine uttered something under his breath. "...Okay. Seifer, realize." He would withdraw his Digivice as the implacable Hackmon appeared by his side. "Orders?" Seifer inquired. "In a moment." He then addressed Satoshi once more. "I'm going to have to request aid in getting the civilians out of here. I'm less worried about the Digimon, if only because I don't think they'll be wanting to fight." Sure enough, they didn't, they were actually running with the humans. "Seifer, find the source of that voice, stat." The Hackmon nodded, before he glanced in the direction the voice came from. "Idea. I'll need a bit. Evacuate people." He stated before he stalked off to go work some technical mojo. Machine on the other hand would set to work immediately, calling for people to get -away- from where the smell was coming from, and to keep their heads down while the volley went on. A bit redundant, but it seemed to be working! Satoshi had every bit of room to provide aid/input here.; Things have gotten a little out of hand. What will you do?
Oh boy.
Passives: Impmon X: The Impmon only has one passive, but it's not been activated yet... Gargomon: Trigger Happy: Gargomon's capable of swapping his ammo out once every three posts. Well, 'ammo.' Really, it just means he's capable of switching between physical, metal bullets and lasers.
The Impmon attacks Gummy with Frost Lance, while Terriermon evolves into Gargomon and uses Whirling Derby! Frost Lance: Impmon extends a hand before firing a concentrated block of ice in the shape of a lance towards a target. Very sharp! Whirling Derby: Gargomon spins, before firing a salvo of shots from his gattling guns. The specific type of shot depends on what setting Trigger Happy is on. This attack has no limit of NPC targets and a limit of 3 PC targets, but it is quite inaccurate so long as one keeps their distance and their head down. Two turn cooldown. Meanwhile, Seifer goes to sniff something out... Eight does nothing. He's surprised.

Post by Zachary "Zaber" Scryer on Jul 9, 2019 5:19:39 GMT
Things were going great. Digimon and humans were getting along great. While Zachary was ignorant of Dats or AEGIS--since he had no knowledge of them at that point, he wasn't too worried about anyone interrupting the festivities on the human side of things. However, he didn't anticipate Digimon causing trouble. For the moment, he was hanging out with new human tamers he met, an adorable Bearmon, a Dracmon and his Guilmon friend... ... however, the target Panthermon stalked, sensing trouble learned of his presence. "I Smell You"-- made the panther's senses flare with danger. ZACHARY!! We got TROUBLE!! Panthermon's telepathic warning shot right to Zachary, causing him to react in sync with Panthermon's surprise. The flash of lasers shot everywhere from Gargomon now, the evolution happening suddenly. While invisible, Panthermon quickly moved. The jungle cat's natural agility made him a tough target to hit as he quickly darted about-- making his way to the safety of a nearby tree he had once been hiding in. Hidden by the bark, he no longer kept his invisibility, proving pointless now that the Gargomon could smell him. Zachary was among the now panicking crowd of people in the chaos and realized the danger. He got enough sense to know a digimon was causing it. Which would only make matters between humans and digimon worse. He turned to his new Digimon friends-- Bearmon, Dracmon, Guilmon, Gigamon too. " Guys, I know this is a lot but I got a very important job for you. Can you help the other humans get out of here? Help them escape and protect them from being hurt, okay? Can you do that?" The first to answer was Bearmon, and happily gave a salute with his paw. " You betcha!" he said happily. Zachary quickly took off to find Panthermon, following the general direction of the lasers. As he turned the corner-- he found Gargomon-- and ducked behind it again just as a stray laser nearly shot across his head. " Whoh!" Zachary gasped. Staying in the shelter of the stone corner, he took hold of his D-Power. " Hey! Bad Bunny! Very bad bunny! Stop this, right now!" Zachary shouted to the Gargomon. Panthermon growled as he kept low. " I really don't think he cares about being good right now!" he shouted over the laser fire. Zachary realized they had to isolate Gargomon fast-- before his lasers hurt someone. But it then gave him an idea. He quickly reached into his pocket-- enough to buy them time. " Panthermon-- time for this bunny to go back in his hole," Zachary said as he took out a Gazimon card, a smirk on his face. " Get ready!" Digi-Modify & Combat Music
With the card in hand, he held it firmly in one and his D-Power in the other. With his arms crossed he focused and visualized the form the card to take. He then took both and brought them together in unison-- slashing the card through the reader on his D-Power's side. Sparks and light came out as he dragged the card across, the screen lighting up with activity-- transferring the card's data to Panthermon. " Digi-Modify!!" Zachary cried, slashing the card through and pulling his arms apart. The card revealed of a dark-colored rabbit-like digimon, a menacing one like the Terriermon was. " Gazimon's Pitfall Trap, activate!" Data rushed through Panthermon's veins and mind as the data of Gazimon wove into his own. For a brief moment, the jungle cat rookie gained its power and took action. With a glance from behind the tree-- Panthermon focused onto the ground just where the Gargomon was firing. His eyes glowed, using the attack Zachary just bestowed to him. " Here's a rabbit trap for you. Pitfall!" From where the Gargomon would stand-- a hole would appear. If lucky, the berserk bunny would drop right in-- and with him deep in the hole-- it would limit his gun's firing to a focused place, preventing stray shots and any more risk of hitting bystanders! (Summary: Zachary is alerted by the attacking digimon by Panthermon via telepathic link. He then encourages the wandering rookies to help evacuate the surrounding humans and he runs to help Panthermon. Panthermon evades the blast and hides behind a nearby tree as Zachary joins him. Getting into the battle, Zachary starts by using a Modify card-- DA-04 Gazimon's Pitfall attack. Panthermon aims the hole to appear right under Gargomon's feet. The goal is to have Gargomon fall into the moderately deep pit-- limiting where his random shooting would go, either straight up or into the walls of the hole. 1/5 Cards used.)

"You should," Eris murmurs peering up at the Impmon with those big blue eyes, a tentative smile blossoming across the little Gigimon's face as their tail twitched back and forth. Something akin to disappointment in her eyes as the Impmon in question resorted to violence. "Humans are amazing and I think together we can be amazing too. You can be amazing." She spoke her tentative smile warming into something bright and hopeful as she beamed up at the Impmon. "It's ok if you're not sure how to make friends. Once everyone's safe I'll show you how. Promise!" Eris swore with utter sincerity as she offered a paw to the Impmon as her form exploded into light. "ERIS DIGIVOLVE TOO~!" Twisting and stretching and shifting until like a star going super nova it spun outwards in a rain of cascading golden sparks and there standing where the tiny Gigimon had been before was a new hero. "BLITZGREYMON!" The new towering red digimon roared out as their own Thunder Verniers swung up and into place as they half turn their attention zeroing in on the Gargomon firing into the crowd as they waved a hand. A gold barrier forming around the attacking digimon to protect the civilians. "Come on you trash!" They snarled out, massive fangs on full display. "Let's get Digital ! "
-BLITZGREYMON MAKES THEIR NATIONAL NEWSWIDE DEBUT! -ERIS USES MIRROR SHIELD TO PROTECT THE CIVILIANS FROM GARGOMONS GUNFIRE! VB-28 Card Name: Mirror Shield Type: Modify Rank: Gold Duration: 1 Post Effect: The target Digimon gains a shield made of pure light. It can reflect all damage from a single attack of your level or many attacks of the level below. It can reduce damage from an attack of a single level higher, but does not reflect them.

As it turns out, Jiro was correct in being wary. Out of nowhere, the peaceful meeting exploded, and the smelly Terriermon digivolved to go Rambo on the people around him. "Ooooh sweet Mother Lilamon, I knew things would go wrong, everything is going wrong!" "Pull yourself together, man! Of course this is a mess! But you know who sorts messes out? A hero!" BlackFairimon struck one of her usual tokusatsu poses and turned to Gargomon. "GranKuwaga Mask is here! Halt, villain! I shan't allow you to harm the innocent, take this!" Her wings sparked before she rushed at the gun bunny, fists first, to prepare a flurry of punches! "Taste the sparking fists of justice! Grand Squall!"
BlackFairimon uses Grand Squall: BlackFairymon punches the enemy multiple times, ending with a charged-up electricity-infused uppercut.

The Digimon that Gummy taunted slowly came from behind the statue, revealing itself to be an Impmon, but not just any Impmon; this one was wearing a long tattered scarf that was covering it's mouth, an eyepatch covering it's right eye, and mismatch colored gloves to top it off. In addition, both the eyepatch and the scarf had an X sigil decorated on. Was this a new species of Impmon, or an Impmon that had just came back from Hot Topic?
Regardless, even though Eris welcomed the newcomer with open arms, Vee could tell that something was off. He didn't know why, but he sense a malicious aura all around. He couldn't tell if it was coming from the Impmon, or someone else. But still, it wasn't nice to judge someone by their appearance. Maybe they were just shy.
"Yeah, you should join everyone," Vee said, extending out a hand to the Impmon. "From what I've seen so far, this Golden Week thing is just about everyone having a good time, both humans and Digimon alike. Oh, and eating too! Lots and lots of eating if you get hungry! Please don't take my little brother's comment personally. He doesn't really mean it." He elbows the Gumdramon's side. "Gummy, apologize to him."
"Why?!" Gummy jumped up, ready to protest. "He smells like rotten eggs, so why should I apologize for stating the obvious?!"
"Because one, it's bullying and two, he's aware of that fact but he might be self-conscious about it."
"So?! Something smell like ass, and when we turned around, it was coming from him, so I said he smell like ass. That ain't bullying, that's an astute observation! Did the laws of the universe changed and nobody told me? Everyone's gotta apologize now for being right?"
Before Vee could comically punch his brother upside the head, the two heard a loud booming noise coming from the distance, silencing their argument. From that loud sound came a menacing voice--a voice that gave a menacing message to all humans in the area. DATS? Was this little gathering all a set up to send them back to the Digital World?
Suddenly, the Impmon materialized a jagged ice lance and threw it straight towards Gummy. The Gumdramon had no time to get out of the way since it was coming so fast. He closed his eyes and raised his arms up to prepare for the worst.
Nothing happened.
After a few seconds, he opened his eyes as to see what was going on. He was met with his older brother in front of him, who had caught the ice lace just in time before it could hit him. He threw the ice-base projectile onto the ground, smashing it to tiny little pieces.
"See what happens when you talk mad stuff, but aren't prepared to back it up?" Vee said, frowning at his brother.
Lasers suddenly started to rain from the sky, threatening everyone in the area. Before the two of them could do anything, Eris had Digivolved into a red clad, cyborg Greymon, plasma stakes on both arms, declaring herself to be BlitzGreymon. She summoned a gold barrier around the civilians to protect them from the ensuring onslaught. They were impressed, but now was not the time to get all starry-eyed.
"I'll go find Justice," Vee declared, "We probably might have to digivolve for this!"
"What about me?" Gummy asked.
"You stay here with your new best friend here. I'm pretty sure he wants to return the favor for saying that he stinks. Have fun.~"
Wit that, Vee took off, disappearing into the crowd who were trying to evacuate the area thanks the other rookie Digimon here.Gummy scoff at his brother's joke. He then gave his attention to the Impmon, who was glaring right at him, his red eyes inviting the Gumdramon to challenge him. "Alright egg boy, you want me, you got me!"
Gummy's body would tense for a split second, before he'd take a strong step forward as he kicked the ground, jumping into the air, enlarging his hammer tail. "Jacked Hammer!"
Combat Log: Vee catches Impmon-X's Frost Lance before it could hit Gummy.
Gummy attacks Impmon-X with Jacked Hammer. - Jacked Hammer: Swings down his super-sized Shippodzuchi down on the enemy while jumping to introduce them to into the ground or performing a forward handspring to jump high when traversing. Two-post cooldown.

All at once, two Digimon with seemingly malicious intent appeared in the square and started wreaking havoc. Quick as a whistle, Satoshi immediately switched into situation-control mode. This was exactly his job, after all! Machine, the DATS agent, quickly began working on evacuating the crowd of humans from the area, and asked for an assist. "Copy that," Satoshi acknowledged, moving to help him out. Before he did so, however, he turned to Gabumon. "Gabumon, engage hostiles and provide support for any other combatants! Keep damage to a minimum, we don't want a repeat of Yoyogi." He flashed his Digivice out from his pocket and it began to glow, allowing Gabumon the chance to Digivolve. "Gabumon Matrix Digivolve to...WereGarurumon!"At once, the Ultimate form of Gabumon was on the scene, and took stock of the others joining in combat. It seemed for the moment that they severely outnumbered the enemies that had appeared, so instead of his usual hyper-offense, WereGarurumon would do as instructed and move to a support role. He gave a mighty, inspiring howl. "Pack Rally!" Now, his nearby allies would hopefully be inspired to get a move on and take care of this fight quickly!
BATTLE LOG: -Satoshi moves to assist Machine in evacuating human civilians. -Gabumon Digivolves to WereGarurumon -Weregarurumon uses Pack Rally on Panthermon, Eris,BlackFairimon, and Gummy. Pack Rally: WereGarurumon roars to inspire allies. Four allies can attack twice this turn. 4 post cooldown.

Chaos had swiftly erupted throughout the 'proceedings' for Golden Week within Hachiko Square, but, all things considered? They were pretty lucky that there were a few individuals who had been prepared to spring into action. The humans (and the few digimon that had the guts to) helping out with the evacuation made it go a lot smoother than Machine had anticipated, with the timely intervention from Eris preventing the Gargomon's laser-filled assault from doing any lasting damage.
At least, not to anything made of flesh.
Seifer had quickly returned as Machine and Satoshi were evacuating the last droves of civilians with the aid of Bearmon. Dracmon and Guilmon were busy getting the Digimon out of there. "Good news." The Hackmon stated. "I found them." Machine looked to his partner with an expression that flat out read 'you can't be serious.' "...Did you just say them? As in there's more than one?"
"Yup. 's just a Veemon and a Wormmon, though. I'm...ah...Not about to engage just yet, however." Seifer remarked. The Hackmon needed to help get everything settled over here Speaking of the devil, an ExVeemon and a Stingmon quickly emerged in the skies, though they were doing nothing. For now.
Plus, they were out of reach at the moment. That might have been good considering what was about to happen. So, first off. Gargomon's whirlwind of lasers came to an end, the gun-toting creature looking a bit stunned at the lack of...well, actual casualties, considering the lasers, already wildly inaccurate, had been bounced away by a golden shield. He was then quickly alerted by something distinct from all the noise.
A cat. Telling him he had a trap to lay. Gargomon hopped to the side, before turning to Panthermon. "̷Y̸o̶u̷ ̴U̵T̶T̵E̷R̶ ̷B̴A̴I̷H̸U̶M̴O̶N̴-̵D̵A̴M̸N̶E̷D̷ ̷N̴U̷M̸B̶S̸K̵U̵L̷L̵.̴ ̵W̸H̸O̷ ̸T̵E̶L̸L̷S̸ ̸S̸O̸M̶E̷O̶N̸E̴ ̷T̷H̵E̶Y̴'̸R̵E̶ ̵T̵H̶R̶O̷W̶I̷N̷G̵ ̵A̸ ̶T̷R̸A̵P̶ ̶A̴T̶ ̷T̷H̷E̷M̶?̷ ̸D̵I̶D̶ ̷Y̶O̸U̴ ̷G̶E̶T̴ ̴D̸R̶O̵P̵P̶E̷D̵ ̶O̴N̸ ̸Y̵O̴U̸R̶ ̷H̶E̴A̸D̸ ̶A̵S̴ ̶A̷N̴ ̶I̶N̷-̵T̶R̷A̷I̸N̷I̵N̵G̸?̷ ̷D̶I̶D̵ ̴T̶H̵E̷ ̷H̴U̶M̸A̴N̴S̵ ̷D̴O̴ ̸T̶H̷I̶S̸ ̷T̷O̶ ̵Y̸O̵U̴?̸?̶?̴?̷ ̸I̷'̷L̵L̶ ̶R̸I̷P̸ ̵T̴H̶E̵M̶ ̴I̷N̷ ̴H̴A̴L̵F̴ ̸I̷F̷ ̷T̶H̶E̶Y̸ ̸D̶I̴D̸.̷"̴
See, that rant would have continued if it weren't for two things. Eris' taunting, and Otohime cutting in via yelling, then rushing in and managing to deliver several punches that the Gargomon had to actively focus on avoiding. GranKuwaga What now? Some of those strikes made contact. Some did not. The final, electric blow, however, landed squarely, sending the champion back and leaving a black mark on his chest.
...These people were seriously rallying to defend the humans? Gargomon glowered at the BlackFairymon and the BlitzGreymon before SOMETHING suddenly ripped itself free from the chest of the Gargomon, the body of the champion immediately fading into mere bits. What had taken the place of the gun-toting rabbit was a onyx-colored cyborg lapine-like creature with a thin-looking midsection, a revolver-like cylinder on it's back, and hate-filled eyes that could probably make the most tempered of edgelords feel fear.
BlackRapidmon wasted absolutely no time in taking a swing at what he now perceived to be the larger threats here, that being the Champion and the Ultimate. "̵Y̴O̴U̷'̵L̷L̶ ̷R̶E̷T̵U̵R̵N̷ ̶T̵O̴ ̶D̵U̷S̶T̷ ̶W̶I̵T̶H̶ ̸T̷H̷E̸ ̴R̶E̸S̸T̴ ̵O̸F̶ ̵T̵H̷E̶S̵E̸ ̷A̸P̵E̸S̸.̵"̶ The shaved poodle-like creature screeched as missiles fired forth from his hands and the cylinder. Three of them in total. Oh, yeah, and a big ol' targeting reticle appeared over Eris and Otohime's heads as he did this. How would they respond to that? Furthermore, how would Panthermon take all that trash talk and subsequently being ignored?
Impmon meanwhile was not too fazed that the Veemon had managed to catch their frost lance. "Nice catch. I guess." It actually kind of was. Vee should pat himself on the back for that. Good job. Impmon was at least letting Vee get away for some reason, but the imp was dead set on fighting Gummy, who leapt at him with the intent of slapping them with a giant hammer that was...actually their tail. The sudden digivolution of the Gargomon actually distracted Impmon some. "Wait, didn't we leave tha-" They had to cut themselves off to make an effort to mitigate the damage from getting hit with a giant hammer tail!
The good news was that that hit, the bad news? Impmon didn't quite go into the ground, having used one hand to try absorbing some of that sweet blunt force trauma (ouch), before they tried to shove the hammer-tail (and Gummy) back, and away from them, before following that up by trying to get up close to slug the Gumdramon with a flaming fist. Would that work? Well, Impmon wasn't putting much effort into it, if at all. Did they really want to fight?
So, this battle may not be quite done with quickly, but WereGarurumon at the very least gave his allies something that their foes lacked. The ability to act more than once (in a posting round). The evacuation had been going as smooth as can be, though two more foes still lingered up above... So, uh, Relevant Passives:
BlackRapidmon:
Rip and Tear: BlackRapidmon builds up stacks of tension the longer he fights. So long as he is able to attack and is being attacked, the Ultimate level will become progressively more and more violent. This doesn’t actually affect how hard he hits, just how he acts.
Very Trigger Happy: In addition to this, Trigger Happy has received an upgrade. BlackRapidmon is now capable of swapping between lasers and missiles every two turns, though he can only use lasers for appropriate moves.
Impmon:
Still not using that passive! So, Gargomon only manages to hop away from the rapidly opening ground because Panthermon flat out taunting him ruined the surprise. Also, he used trash talk. Then Otohime comes in to deliver some knuckle sandwiches and mostly succeeds, prompting Gargomon to Digivolve to BlackRapidmon, use his passive to swap to missiles, and fire off the greatest named move on the forum after marking her and Eris.
Panthermon is left out of this attack. Perhaps he can use that.
Royalty Free Missile Massacre™: Two unlucky bastards get marked as BlackRapidmon fires a swarm of 6 missiles from the revolvers on his back and the cannons on his arms for the marked targets. The missiles will track the target(s) for a turn before falling down harmlessly. Thankfully, however, it’s not six missiles each. If it’s a single target, then it’s six missiles. Two targets? Then it’s three. Three turn cooldown.
Meanwhile, Impmon X squares off with Gummy, allowing Vee to go get his tamer (for some reason.) It's not like they don't want whatever the provocateurs are doing to succeed, right? They get hit with a big hammer tail, and their response is to try shoving them back and going for...
Burnin’ Up for You: Impmon’s hand becomes engulfed in flames as they attempt to, very literally, knock someone in the gabber. This is circumvented like you’d circumvent any normal punch, honest! One post cooldown.
That.
Since Zachary's hired help and Satoshi pitched in to help with the (still alive) civilians (thanks Eris), evacuation efforts with Machine have started to go more smoothly than anyone could ever imagine. Also, an ExVeemon and a Stingmon are just hovering over the fight menacingly. They're not doing much, but they're there.
Cooldowns: Royalty Free Missile Massacre™: 0/3 Burnin' Up for You: 0/1 Very Trigger Happy: 0/2

The pitfall attempted was an utter failure due to nature they were careless on its delivery-- but Panthermon needed up till that point needed to access the program by name. Hense the give away. Gargomon started ranting insults-- but Panthermon, a coolheaded warrior of the most of time, just growled ferally at the rabbit.
However, what was a positive development was their actions was a distraction-- as Eris appeared on the scene and transformed into a massive Blitzgreymon, followed by a Weregarurumon. Zachary soon turned and saw the tamer owning the Weregarurumon. A sigh escaped Zachary, realizing they were not alone. The insults from the rabbit-- while harsh, were wiped away from both Zachary and Panthermon. The rookies here now having aid gave them a chance to counter-attack and make up for past mistakes.
IN the blasts of missile fire and lasers, Panthermon went invisible again and quickly got out from behind the tree. Zachary was now beside Satoshi, joining beside the human. "Um, thanks... I guess you are a Tamer too?" he asked, clearly too new to all of this to really know who was an ally beyond the obvious. He turned to Eris-- shocked to learn that THAT was the Gigamon he saw earlier. "Wow, Eris... you are a badass."
"What am I? A glorified pussycat?" Panthermon grumbled, his pride more wounded from their attempt failed but an honest mistake. "At least our efforts distracted him... but now he is stronger than ever."
Zachary turned to the Rapidmon. For the moment, it was not focused on them-- so it gave them time to counter-attack. That and the Weregarurumon's valiant inspiring howl.
Reaching into his pocket, Zachary took out another card. This time-- it was an odd one with the Digimental of Friendship illustrated on it. Zachary turned to Panthermon. "Let's light this up!" He brought the card up again and his Digivice in a cross-- and once again gave a dramatic slash of the card as Panthermon readied himself. "Digi-Modify! Digi-Mental Up!" he said, slashing the card through. The result caused his Digivice to release an intense blue light and lightning sparkling effect. THe beam shot right into Panthermon, and caused the beast to let out a feral, panther-like roar.
"Panthermon Armor Evolution! Bagheeramon!"
The light and lightning soon came to a climactic end and revealed Panthermon, now as a hulking armored black tiger adorns with blue and black armor with blades adorn on it. His panther-like sounds were replaced by that of a tiger's.
As BLackrapidmon was distracted, Bagheeramon acted. The beast wasn't just stronger-- but faster! His natural speed made him zip around the square area as he maneuvered himself fast to get behind BlackRapidmon as best as he could. He growled and the sparks of lightning turned into a dark hue.
The black lightning coursing over his body drew closer to his maw and the blades channeled it like tesla coils. More power built up and focused on the tiger's maw.
Black Lightning Cannon.
A loud tiger's roar ripped through the air as Bagheeramonn fired a beam of super-powered lightning so strong the color was as black as the tiger himself. It was aimed right for Blackrapidmon's back-- in hopes to make a solid hit this time around.
OOC: Suffered wounded pride from the careless declaration.(Anime logic won't happen again). With Eris and the others distracting BlackRapidmon now-- it leaves Bageeramon open to counter attack and make up for errors. Zachary Armor Evolves Panthermon into Bageeramon.
Bagheeramon uses Lightning Speed: (Passive) to maneuver 25% faster and more agile around the enemy, hopefully, unnoticed by the focus on the others. Bagheeramon is a creature of speed and agility.
Bagheeramon uses Black Lightning Cannon, which does serious damage and also causes paralysis if effective. Cooldown of 3 posts.

The missiles caught the Blitzgreymon by surprise as she threw up her arms, crossing them in front of her torso to block as best she could as they impacted. Sending her flying backwards into a crater of torn cement and tarmac briefly obscuring the red digimon with smoke as Panthermon and Zachary stepped up their game launching their own electric cannon at that rabbit with the intention to stun it. As suddenly the air was filled with a low pitched wine and the roar of jets as the Blitzgreymon launched herself up out of the crater. Their armor scuffed and scorched, but a wide fanged grin splitting their face with manic vicious glee. "Apes huh?" She drawled out as they took the to air, static playing across their form as everyone within fifty meters would feel their hair stand on end, little bits of metal floating into the air as the armored dragon leveled a fist at the gun rabbit where Eris hovered. Then the polarity reached a fever pitch dragging the metal armored rabbit forward into the air as the Blitzgreymon crackled with lightning and reaching out grasped the ultimate digging their claws into it's chest and channeling thousands of watts of electricity right into the Rapidmon's digichrome raiment. Filling the air with the scent of burning fur and metal. "Funny," Eris quipped bright blue eyes hard as the electrical build up seemed to reach a crescendo, "The only animal I see here is YOU." As with a boom of thunder the power released launching the Rapidmon down with an explosion of lightning and the force of the sound barrier breaking towards the hard pavement.
Eris is hit with Royalty Free Missile Massacre damaging her. Eris combines Plasma Stake and Polarity Pulse to deadly effect on Rapidmon -Plasma Stake: Punches and grabs at it's opponent channeling thousands of watts of electricity through it's form and heavyweight gauntlets and into it's enemy bypassing their opponents armor and electrocuting them from the inside out. Cooldown two posts. -Polarity Pulse: Charges the air and everything within fifty meters with electricity creating a positive polarity as their opponents are dragged forward before they rapidly switch to negative polarity releasing a burst of searing lightning blasting their opponents backwards and dealing massive damage to metal wearing and metal weapon using digimon as their equipment acts as a conductor. Cooldown three turns.

Gummy became a bit surprised when the scarfed-face Impmon blocked his Shippodzuchi with only one hand, despite them being distracted by one of the other Digimon that chose to evolve. Being shoved back in retaliation, Gummy quickly recovered by back rolling a couple spaces. Lifting his head up, he saw that the Impmon wasted no time in attacking and was charging at him with a flaming fist. With a smirk on his face, Gummy extended both of his paws and blocked the attack. The two were now in a standstill until one's strength outmatches the other.
"Gotta say, you're not half bad, egghead." Gummy commented, praising and insulting him all at once. Despite their fist on fire—which stung like hell—he could tell that the Impmon wasn't giving it his all due to the force of his punch. Was he going easy on him? If that was the case, he found that insulting.
For some reason, the Gumdramon felt his strength increasing for some reason. Not questioning why, he wasted no time in using his Shippodzuchi to strike the Impmon multiple times, attempting to overpower him in their griphold. Once he felt his grip weakening, he would grab the Impmon's arm and throw him across to a nearby bench.
"I'm not finished yet!" Gummy began to summersault rapidly to the point where the velocity started to generate flames around his body. He then started to charge at his opponent with the flames cutting the wind.
Despite the chaos all around, with humans running off to take shelter or to simply record the action, Vee continued the search for his Tamer. Thanks to his small size, it was much easier to squeeze through the panic, and confused crowd since they were all worried about themselves. Once he reached a clear street corner, he started to sniff the air, trying to pick up Justice's scent. Although his sense of smell was not as keen as his little brother’s, it was still good enough to distinguish the many scents in the air. One perk Digimon will have over humans.
After a few seconds, he nose picked up on something that was akin to that of Justice’s: the smell of freshly cleaned shoes. “Found ya!” Vee said confidently. He took off sprinting, following the strength of Justice’s scent. If the scent weakened, Vee would retrace his steps a little until he was going in the right direction. It only took a few minutes until he came across an alley way. In it was an entrance to what looks like an abandoned section of a building, with the door partially opened
“Why did Justice come here of all places?” he asked himself. “This makes no sense.” Vee walked in, with more curiosity and worry-ness in his eyes. Light came through in small slivers and shafts, where boards overlapped each other. Dust rose from the ground, and each time his foot touched the ground, it made a print. Shoe prints were also visible; they look like they were recent. The air was stagnant, almost suffocating - the building hadn’t been occupied for months, hadn’t been visited or tended in any way. Music became more audible above from where the Veemon was at. He eventually found a staircase and began to ascend. It made odd noises as Vee carefully moved up, it groaned and creaked, like something reawakening after decades of slumber.
Reaching to the top, he could make out the lyrics from whatever music was playing. “This is the type of music Justice listens to alright.” Vee said. The music was coming from one of the rooms up ahead.
He leaned on the front of the door, and what he saw drew bewilderment: it was Justice, who was using paint cans to paint...walls? There were numerous cans spread all around. What was he doing?
“Justice??” Vee was up on his tippy toes. Justice turned around in surprise, he had a mask wrapped around his mouth and nose.
“Oh umm...hey there,” he said nervously, “What’s uhh...what’s popping, Vee?”
Combat Log:
Thanks to WereGarurumon’s Pack Rally, Gummy is allowed to attack twice this turn. Gummy catches Impmon-X’s ‘Burnin’ Up for You’, making them be in a standstill. Gummy attacks Impmon-X with Ram-Gum Break, trying to overpower him as he takes tail swings. Gummy then tosses Impmon-X to a nearby bench, attacking him with Fire Vortex.
Ran-gum Break - Uses his Shippodzuchi and frails it in all directions when surrounded. One-post cool-down.
Fire Vortex - Jumps up in the air and performs continuous somersaults at speeds fast enough to generate flames to delivers a knockout blow from his Shippodzuchi when it lands.Two-post cooldown.
Jacked Hammer: 1/2 cool-down.

Post by Satoshi Himura on Jul 23, 2019 18:18:08 GMT
One of the other nearby Tamers approached Satoshi and struck up a quick conversation. "That's right, I'm Satoshi Himura of AEGIS. Small talk will have to wait, though. Let's get this situation resolved first!"
As Satoshi helped the DATS agent with the evacuation proceedings, the man's Digimon partner approached and informed them that there were two other Digimon around the area. Looking around, Satoshi spotted the X-Vmon and Stingmon floating above the action. After a quick moment to gather a plan, Satoshi turned back in the direction of his own Digimon.
"All units, be advised!" he shouted, trying to sound as authoritative as possible. "Two new contacts, directly above! Proceed with caution!"
WereGarurumon turned and heard Satoshi's message, lightly chuckling at Satoshi's attempt to sound leader-ish. Acknowledging the message, WereGarurumon looked up and saw the two Digimon hovering over the battle. With a quick dash, the wolf-man leapt up a nearby building to get closer to the two new arrivals.
"Excuse me!" he shouted, attempting to get their attention. "We're in the middle of a situation, here. If you're not here to assist, then I'll have to ask you to leave!"
BATTLE LOG: Satoshi continues helping with evacuation efforts WereGarurumon confronts the approaching X-Vmon and Stingmon. Pack Rally Cooldown: 1/4

GranKuwaga Mask's first attack had connected, the gunbun was thrown off course! Otohime rubbed her nose in a cocky manner. "Hah, take that, you-" Before her taunt could finish, Gargomon digivolved by having its next stage literally tear its way out of the old one. And not just that, the newly evolved BlackRapidmon immidiately set its crosshair on her and Eris! Otohime gulped. "Well, shi-" Her curse was cut short by the whirring wail of the flying missiles. Otohime was far from the nimblest, so it would be hard for her to dodge. She had to come up with something else. Unfortunately, she chose the wrong one, attempting to pick up a bit of concrete and throwing it at the missile. While it did detonate the missiles, preventing a bigger impact, the blast created a good deal of shrapnel which pelted the BlackFairymon, preventing greater infrastructure damage but puncturing the Digimon, injuring her! She screamed in pain and dropped to her knees. She looked down for a bit, then looked up, having raised her visor to reveal her red insectoid eyes. "That was a bad idea, now, you shall feel the fury of my BEAST MODO! She struggled to her feet to...strike another pose. Though at the end of her pose, she was enveloped in light, her silhouette stretching and twisting into a quadrupedal shape! When the light had dissipated, she had digivolved into GranKuwagamon! The giant bug shot a thumbs up at the shielded crowd, as if to signify she was still herself, then turned back to BlackRapidmon. "You will regret your sins, villain! Scissor Arm Omega!" GranKuwagamon's pincers glowed, and it dashed at the gun bunny, intending to grab it between them and squeezing it!
BlackFairimon takes high damage from the shrapnel created by her attempt to evade Black Rapidmon's Royalty Free Missile Massacre! BlackFairimon digivolves to GranKuwagamon, the damage becoming the equivalent of medium damage on the higher level Digimon. GranKuwagamon uses Scissor Arm Omega: GranKuwagamon rushes at an enemy to snap its mandibles around them, damaging them and squeezing them.
