[[ Subject: DigiBank.4U Thanks You ]]

"Dear Hireling,
Thank you for your timely reply to our company's request for assistance. I am Datamon, sysop for the eastern Terminus branch of DigiBank.4U, currently [3rd] most popular bit-banking and investment company in the Terminus region. As explained in the initial job posting, there has recently been anomalous activity regarding a small number of accounts using our services: Specifically, individuals using our branch's ATM transfer services. For several weeks there have been increasingly frequent reports of anomalous overcharges, and demands for compensation. Thus far, the cost has been incredibly marginal, and there have been no reports of customer's over-drafting as a result. Several other banking locations not affiliated with DigiBank.4U in the same area have reported similar anomalous activity.
What is more important is the damage this does to our branch's reputation. Even if it is only a mild inconvenience and all victims have been compensated, it is still an irritant to our customers, and we here at DigiBank.4U take customer service very seriously. Furthermore, this is tantamount to stealing directly from the company, no matter how inconsequential the actual expenditure has been thus far.
For reasons that should be obvious, the banks effected, DigiBank.4U included, have declined to allow internal agents from rivaling companies access to potentially sensitive transfer information, making cross referenced investigation difficult. As a work around you, Trusted Hireling, will be given special [but still limited] access to the information provided by each of the cooperating banks. Simply forward this email and any queries you have to any of the other branch sysops, addresses to follow. Furthermore, you are welcome to conduct an on-site investigation of east Terminus branch as required, on your leisure. Provide employees with access code: 441790 to be granted Blue access to the premises for the duration of your investigation. This will allow you to review the security room or on-site locations you may deem critical.
This is not a time limited investigation, but keep in mind that other freelancers may be hired on to get results. The banks of the eastern Terminus area thank you for your assistance and discretion in this matter. If you have any further questions or requests, you may forward them to me during my business hours: 0000 - 2399 Su - F

Drip, drip.
The onset of the cold humidity that heralded the rain was enough to make the small, bipedal figure shiver. He sheltered beneath the jutting overhang of one of the east Terminus neighborhood's rather numerous teller terminals, rubbing the cold out of his forelimbs. Normally, this onset of wet and cold would be met with grumbling complaints about far more than just atmospheric conditions, but today he was in a good mood.
Today was payday.
He grinned only to himself as he accepted the generous handout from the ATM, lifting it, briefly, to quickly count it out, before looking to the slip of card-paper printed alongside it, matching the figure in his hand to the numbers. With a quiet cackle, he let the slip drop to the dampening pavement. Shouldering the weight of his backpack, he stuffed the cash withdrawn into one of it's many side pockets. Hiking the pack, he suddenly moved off into the burgeoning storm.
He deserved a snack.
