Junjo's nose scrunched as his mind tugged in different directions. So Ashe was his age, huh? He always assumed the guy was a few years older than him at least, just with the way he carried himself. He began running scenarios in the background of his mind as to what would make someone so mature. Had Asher faced hardship or was he just naturally cool and collected?
As they sat down at the table he redirected his focus.
"Oh! Well, I spent some time conversing with the locals, trying to figure out the best places to train. Some of them would only talk to me if I Spirit Evolved, but most of them were really friendly!"
He paused, thinking about a few unsavory types before continuing his momentum.
"Anyway, there's a cool 'ice forest' they called it, figured we could train there. It's not too far away so when we get cold we can get back easily." The head of teal hair Junjo sported tilted down as he stared at the surface of the table and his voice grew a bit quieter.
"There's also this beautiful onsen at the top of the hill. We could...go there too if we get too cold."

The redhead tried to ignore the visible nose scrunch of his companion. Was there something wrong with his response? Weird. It was probably for the best that he didn't point it out. Plus, it would unknowingly make him seem more mysterious, or something!
"So, they're anti-human?" Asher clarified, leaning back in his chair a little. He supposed it was a relief that the restaurant owner didn't seem to also be against humans being in their shop. "Wonder if there's a reason." He'd never met someone blatantly anti-human before! Nor did he really want to. Anyone who based their opinion off appearances probably wasn't worth talking with, anyway.
Granted, humans seemed to be really good at making a mess of places.
Hopefully, the two of them wouldn't make a mess of this 'ice forest' while they were in the area. He didn't really want to give the locals more reason to hate on people. "An ice forest sounds like a good place to train." Were there actual trees? Could there be trees in someplace as frozen as this? If there were, it would probably be useful for spirits like Junjo. Maybe he could get the upper hand!
Then, they moved onto the part that involved the teal haired man staring at the table. The redhead had to strain a bit to hear, considering talking to a table probably wasn't the most efficient method of communicating across it. "Could be a good way to unwind afterward, either way. I haven't gone to a Digital World onsen, before." It was something he was probably willing to check out, at least! Unless it turned out to be really, really weird. Digital World places sometimes were pretty odd!
"Do you get cold in your spirit forms? They do seem like they're built for warmer weather." Maybe the duo should have thought the location through a bit more!

'Could be a good way to unwind' sounded to Junjo like 'Yes I will go to the Onsen with you'. Hopefully his selective hearing wouldn't come back to bite him in the ass later. Never mind the fact that training was also mentioned in Asher's replies or the clarification of anti-human digimon.
Junjo looked up at Asher with a warm smile, still gleeful about the potential of this turning into a hot springs adventure of sorts.
"Hm? Oh, well, Sprixiemon gets the coldest considering he's just wearing shorts. Weird that some digimon have clothes and some dont...anyway! Kimorimon has a higher resilience to weather, that's for sure. And me, well I keep my house pretty cold in general, so I'm used to it."
Suddenly a gust rolled by, and then before he knew it there was a tiny little digimon with a tray on its head and extra-long arms at their table.
"Order delivery!" It chimed, placing the bowls on the table and dashing off faster than Junjo's eyes, or brain, could even comprehend.

Asher likely had no idea what he was getting into. There was this sneaking suspicion that he should be questioning things a bit more, but on the other hand, that he probably shouldn't ask anything ever. Either way, Junjo looked pretty excited about the onsen trip, so there probably wasn't any reason to worry. Maybe the guy just really liked hot springs! That was a totally normal thing to like, right?
Letting Junjo gloss over the rest of the topics, the redhead let him go on about cold weather tolerance. "You like the house so cold that you can handle the tundra?" Asher raised an eyebrow, while giving a small chuckle. Sure, why not? "Humans vary on clothes preference, too." Even though there were rules about that in the human world! "I guess it's not really surprising that Digimon would have preferences, too." It would only make sense!
But now, food was being placed in front of them, and it was time to eat! "Thank you," he'd chime to the waiter Digimon before it scurried away too quickly.
Again, the spirit user waited for Junjo to try his before trying the food, himself. Which gave him plenty of time to continue giving conversation pieces, probably! "What's your favorite kind of food?" It was off-topic, sure, but there was literal food in front of them, so it didn't feel like an odd thing to ask at a time like this! Admittedly, he was half expecting it to be ramen, considering the type of place they were currently at.
At least the food smelled pretty good, so he couldn't really judge the other man if it was his favorite dish, or something. For now, he'd just sit back and wait. After all, he didn't want to seem like he was asking twenty questions over here!

Junjo wondered if the fact that he kept his house frigid meant that Asher would never want to hang out there! Despite that issue rising to the forefront of his mind he quickly pushed it back as food came out and the conversation shifted.
He did make sure to mention the clothing thing again.
"I'll just have to tell Sprixiemon to start packing accordingly~" Was that a joke? Junjo thought it was funny.
He tried his ramen and a look of sheer joy washed over him. In fact he consumed a bit more before answering Asher.
"My...favorite?" He had to think about it, after all there were very few food that he didn't like.
"Even though they're terrible for your teeth, I really like chewy caramels. But I guess that's not -really- food...in that case, red bean mochi-er, that's more of a desert too, isn't it?" He chuckled, realizing he was really being helpful.
"It's hard to decide really, what about yourself?"

If Junjo kept his house as cold as a literal tundra, it was probably going to be hard to get Asher to visit for very long, yes. Not many people wanted to need a jacket while indoors, after all! "There's a mall in Terminus. I bet they have Sprixiemon-sized clothes," the redhead suggested, half-joking. They probably actually did, though.
Luckily, both young men seemed to be enjoying their food. Even if apparently actual food was not Junjo's favorite consumable product. "So, you just really like sweets?" Somehow, this wasn't surprising. Someone with the enthusiasm of the teal-haired man probably needed to be hopped up on sugar!
"I don't know if I really have one favorite," Asher answered, when the question was turned onto him. What a cop-out answer! "Maybe boxty? It's sort of like a potato pancake." Maybe a cop-out was better than a boring answer. Potato pancakes were hardly exciting! But, it was the first thing that came to mind. "I guess I can't think of a favorite dessert, though." One of them clearly had the weaker sweet tooth!
Ah well! There was only so much to do about that! For instance, eating the ramen that was in front of him instead! For now, he'd give Junjo a break from the quizzing, and take a few bites of ramen. After all, some people probably didn't want to feel like they were being interrogated by the redhead at every turn! Plus, the ramen was pretty good and worth paying some attention to.

Junjo nodded his head at the concept of having a mega sweet tooth. Sugar comforted him and it would never stop being delicious!
He savored more of his Ramen while he let Asher talk, all while thinking about getting clothes for Sprixiemon in the back of his mind.
"Boxty?" he started to ask until Asher further explained. "Oh! Well, that sounds delicious. I guess if you pair that with my desserts we have a full meal!" He chimed happily and then took another bite.
He watched as Asher tried his own.
"So, what do you think? If I didn't know any better, I'd say Mr.Growlmon is a top-class chef!"
Did digimon have things like Michelin stars? Maybe it was best not to think on it too much.

The excessive sugar consumption probably explained a lot about Junjo as a person. And it was something that never would have crossed Asher's mind without their current conversation! How enlightening. The redhead would have to remember to carry candies around whenever he was meeting up with Junjo, to better incentivize him.
While a combination of boxty, chewy caramel, and red bean mochi did not sound like an appealing meal to Asher, he wasn't about to discourage the thought! Instead, he'd nod, and suggest, "maybe we should make a dinner at one of our homes sometime. You can be in charge of dessert." Asher would be in charge of potatoes. Or something probably equally easy to work with!
For now, it was more polite to focus on the food in front of them, though! "Yeah, it's really good!" Was it comparable to high-end restaurants of the human world? Asher shot a glance toward where their chef should be, before returning his gaze to Junjo and giving a smile. Credit had to be given to someone who was prepping and cooking food when their hands were basically just big claws.
Then, the man would continue eating, to avoid holding them up too much longer. Based on how excited Junjo had been about the food, he could only imagine it was going to be inhaled pretty quickly! But, still, he felt the need to keep some sort of conversation going. After all, a quiet lunch could be a pretty awkward lunch! "Have you done anything interesting in the Digital World, other than everything today, since the last time we met up?"
