Every flower has thorns [Bell]

It was a day like any other in Whitewater: the overbearing heat from the sun washing over the beach city with it's bright light was finally receding, as almost every pedestrian, digimon or otherwise, were slowly moving out of the cool shade from the buildings, the ones less used to this hot climate letting out a collective sigh of release as the evening light began illuminating the beach city.
And amidst all the passerby, a trio of individuals were focused on a task of utmost importance, their eyes scanning the many storefronts and shops in the search of something.
"So how about noodles?" The voice of Dio asked, the impmon sitting lazily on the tanned man's shoulders as they walked down the busy street.
Carlos shook his head. "We have those back home already. What else do we need?"
If there was anything the tamer had taken a huge liking to in the past year or so was getting food directly from the digital world. It was hard to describe, but there was an odd sense of thrill and discovery that came from cooking food that was literally out of his world that helped make his dinners out of digitized products all the tastier. Though of course, having to cook for three came with it's challenges, most notably getting something everyone liked.
"Icecream!" Gio proclaimed exitedly. Neither his brother nor his tamer seemed to share his entusiasm, however. "We're getting dinner, Gio."
"Icecream's not dinner?" The guilmon repeated tilting his head, a look of genuine confusion and surprise in his face. Yeah, it wasn't hard to remember the digimon had lead an incredibly sheltered life, was it? Perhaps that's why the imp took it so easy on his new brother, had anyone else said something that dumb he would have gladly made fun of them for the remainder of the day.
"Maybe we should split up." Carlos pondered, as the impmon jumped off his shoulder and back down to ground, a somewhat defeated look in his eyes. He knew exactly what splitting up would entail...
"Good idea! Let's go, Dio!" Gio said, grabbing Dio's hand and not so much leading him away but rather dragging the resigned imp away to wherever the blackguilmon's nose led them, no doubt.
Finding himself alone for once, Carlos could only look on as the two dissapeared into the crowd and...he sighed. Not in relief or exhaustion, but something else entirely.
Is this what being an older brother was like?

And of course, they're still following me...
Tch - just how persistent was Whitewater going to be? Honestly, the Floramon didn't expect much out of today. Her intent was to just sit back, not draw much attention to herself, and check out the local stock by the greenery, but she didn't even get that far. As she made her way down a side street, she looked down as if to check her D-Terminal, looking at the reflective end on the reverse side.
Behind her was an Andromon and an Angemon. To most, they would have just looked like another two Digimon in the crowd, but this wasn't the first time today that the Floramon had noticed them. This morning, she caught wind of the machine, and at lunch, she saw them again, at a nearby table, giving occasional glances in her direction. She avoided giving them direct eye contact, forcing herself to act as casual as possible.
Not wanting to give these two investigators any evidence that she was, indeed, Bell. But doing that alone didn't seem to get them off their tail. Fuck, didn't these two have anything better to do? Something had to change, or they would try and examine her closer. Turning the corner to the storefronts, she looked for opportunity - aha.
A human, a tamer! His partner was either somewhere else, or the man was a spirit wielder - in either case, this would work. She forced a smile on her face, and bounded right on up! "Ah, Duke!" Her tone was briefly cheery, before a cross look slipped across her eyes. "What took you so long? I've been waiting to see you for hours!"
It was bold, but she needed this random white-haired man to play along. So as to note her predicament, she shifted her eyes off to her left. If Carlos looked a bit off to his right, he'd indeed see the Andromon looking over at the two of them, considering the situation.

As Carlos looked down at the beeping screen of his digivice keeping track of his partners' location, he would soon notice a smaller shape approaching him from the crowd. As he put away the device back into his pocket, he saw that the shape was in fact a Floramon that was talking to him. This wouldn't have been so strange, were it not for the fact that she was addressing him in an incredibly casual (and almost annoyed) way, treating him like a well known acquaintance and berating him for leaving her hanging for hours.
Also, she called him Duke of all things.
"Huh?" Was all the man could muster up, utterly perplexed. "...excuse me?"
Could she be mistaking him by someone else perhaps? Or maybe she... His train of thought would be immediatelly interrupted however, as while he looked into the crowd for a moment (half expecting to see the plant's actual companion, half expecting someone with a camera filming his reaction for a practical joke), his eyes would come across a rather shifty looking Andromon looking in his direction...or rather their direction, as he seemed just as interested in him as he was on the Floramon.
Carlos looked back down at the rookie a theory suddenly clicked in his mind: could she be being followed by someone and was looking for a quick way out? It seemed a bit of a stretch, but there weren't many other possibilities that ocurred to him. But if that was the case, what was he supposed to do?
It would have been very easy for him to simply ignore the Floramon's silent plight for help, to simply turn around and let things take care on their own. Very few good things came when he tried to get involved in situations like these.
But...really, he wasn't nearly as cold as he hyped himself up to be. Even if he wanted to he couldn't simply let the digimon to her devices and hope nothing bad would happen. He couldn't help himself: it was again time to get involved.
Crossing his arms he'd look down at the plant like digimon, a small scowl in his face.
"You were supposed to tell me where to find you, how was I supposed to know where to look? Whitewater isn't small." He complained in an irritated tone, lightly scratching his nose with a thumb in a gesture oddly reminiscent of a thumbs up. Hopefully the Floramon would be perceptive enough to catch it.

"Tch..."
Shoot, was this tamer going to leave her out to dry? His first reaction to seeing her, though perhaps expected, wasn't promising - and she really didn't want to do more than a glance for a tell, lest the machine actually manage to catch on that this was a ruse. "Oh, don't you excuse me. I'm liable to wilt out in this heat!"
As she figured, she probably had one more chance for him to figure it out - and, lo and behold, he actually seemed to comprehend the situation. He spared that machine a glance, before looking at the Floramon with a sense of understanding, perhaps trying to form a response in his head. And honestly, his response was perfect: familiar, spot on, and even annoyed at his supposed Digimon partner.
Exactly what the Floramon needed. "Ugh, you'd figure the market square would be the most obvious place... well, whatever, you found me now." She crossed her own arms, but snuck in a wink with her left eye, noting that he was on the right track. And in the background, the Andromon rubbed the back of his head, and turned around, moving back the way he came.
Bell didn't have a human partner, so this Floramon couldn't be the suspect he was looking for. Stealing a glance over her shoulder to see that the machine was gone, the Floramon seemed more relaxed, but still kept up the act, sticking to Carlos' side for the time being.
She whispered, catching him up on the details: "I'm Lily, you're Duke, and I'm just your partner Digimon who needs to get the heck out of Whitewater." Her tone seemed a bit short, as if he wouldn't accept an argument to her terms. With that, she'd pull back a bit, stretching out her back. "Either way, thanks for finally showing up. Now, where's that brother of mine..."
Bell guessed the gender, but she did catch the Digivice on Carlos' waist - not a D-Tector, not a Xros Loader. And he probably wasn't just going to leave his partner behind - might as well play the family route?

"Whatever, let's just go already, we're wasting time arguing." Carlos said just as annoyed, now fully commited to his "role" as Bell's tamer. Now that they were both on the same track it was easy enough to pretend, though it took him a great deal of concentration not to look at the Andromon as he did this.
Though thankfully by the time he actually looked, it would seem their ruse worked, as the Andromon soon went away in the opossite direction! Really, it was almost a miracle things had gone so smoothly for them. Perhaps he did have a chance at an acting career. At any rate, as soon as the android left the scene Bell was quick to fill him in with the details...in a relatively vague manner however. Perhaps she didn't feel safe giving him the whole story...or maybe she was just omitting details for her convenience.
Really, there wasn't much Carlos could do at this point, so he simply nodded when she was finished.
"Gotcha, "Lily"." Carlos repeated aloud with a nod, not wanting to forget the Floramon's name. He really wanted to ask her what her deal was and why was that Andromon following her to begin with, for all Carlos knew he was actually helping a murderer escape the crime scene. But he figured it was probably safer for the both of them to wait until they were in the clear before he asked loaded questions. Though there was a somewhat innocent sounding one he just had to ask. "Should I expect your friend to come back?"
It did seem like they had given that Andromon the slip, but Carlos wanted to play it as safe as he could and try to avoid any confrontations, else he painted a target on his back and on his partners's. Speaking of which, it seemed as "Lily" had already taken notice of that, probably thanks to his digivice. Her plan of pretending to be a sister seemed solid...but there was just a small problem with that, and Carlos was a bit too aware of it.
"More like brothers."
Was triplets a thing digimon could have? Or was it better for them to figure out another possibility? They didn't have much to ponder this however, as soon two familiar digimon began making a beeline for the man.
Much like when they had left they returned in quite an amusing looking way: Gio still dragging his impish brother in one hand, the other holding a small ice cone. Guess Dio had finally caved in to the BlackGuilmon's demands. The lizard stopped in his tracks upon noticing the Floramon however, tilting his head in surprise.
"Huh? Who's this?"
Dio was quick to ask much of the same, an equally perplexed (and almost...judgmental?) glare piercing through the man as he spoke, "Just what are you up to now?"
"Come on Dio, it's Lily, don't you remember her? Come on, we gotta take her out of the city so she can catch the Trailmon asap." Carlos replied simply, already anticipating the partner's confusion, though thankfully none of them had called him by his real name yet, and he did add some copious amounts of winks at the impmon as he said all this, trusting he would be quick to pick up on what was going on too. And if not well, hopefully Bell could nudge them in the right direction.

Perfect. Carlos established the appropriate annoyed tone to have with his rather brash Floramon partner. This made their act all the more believable, the two almost naturally seeming to click in such a short amount of time. Perhaps Carlos was trained as an actor, or perhaps the wires in his head simply worked the same way as the Floramon?
It didn't really matter at the moment. The Andromon had already left, to the relief of the rookie, and they were able to speak at least a bit more freely. She just gave a nod as Carlos repeated her name, and the casual conversation that followed was just Bell's attempt to gain information. Surely he'd reply with a name or a species so she could follow the same act with his partner. "My friend? Mm... he might, but I wouldn't count on it." She hoped that was the last she saw of the Andromon.
... But the point on Carlos already having multiple partners caught Bell's interest. She bit her lip at the potential problem, but just rolled it off her back. "Ah, right..." Shoot, would this work? If the twins he already had were similar enough, she'd stick out like a sore thumb - oh thank god that wasn't the case, as she saw a Guilmon, blissful as could be, dragging along a rather distant-looking Impmon.
The two immediately questioned the Floramon's presence, and though Carlos tried to smooth it over, it was the Floramon that would definitely nudge them in the right direction. "C'mon, I've known you guys for years." With a smile, she'd step up, and even swing her arm around each of their shoulders. But before the Impmon could even object, the plant's expression darkened, glaring in Dio's direction.
"Play along, and we won't have any problems. I'll explain shit later." Her tone was terse with both of them, but only for that instant. The whisper faded away as her smile returned, loosening her grip around her supposed brothers. "But sounds good to me, boss. Where we heading to next?"
Annoyed one moment, scary and serious the next, then right-as-rain friendly with the tamer afterwards. Honestly, it would probably be hard to pin exactly what this Floramon was, other than something was up!

It took both Impmon and Guilmon by surprise to see this completely unknown digimon not only hanging around with their tamer, but suddenly getting closer to them and even going as far as swinging her arms around the two! The confusion in the twins' faces was palpable.
It went away rather quickly however, as soon as Lily told them to play along in an almost threatening tone. Dio would glare at her with a mix of incredulity and anger in his eyes. The gall of this digimon to come out of nowhere and start making demands to them! He was ready to snap back at her with full force, but upon noticing Carlos' begging eyes he relented. It was clear this was bigger than them, and it was probably better for him to swallow his pride and play along. Didn't mean he was happy with doing so however.
"Tch, you better do, or else..." He'd whisper back at her, his tone more irritaded than anything, before looking at the human and shaking his head. "We sure can't leave you alone for anything, can we?"
Gio however seemed still distrustful...or rather more confused by this turn of events, the gears on his head visibly turning as he looked back and forth between the Floramon and Carlos. "Just don't ask questions and I'll buy you popcorn back home, sounds good?" Carlos said, patting the digimon on the head, knowing the one sure fire path to buying Gio's cooperation: free food.
"Okay!" He chirped back with a smile, seemingly already forgetting any doubts he had. Having dealt with probably the biggest hurdle with their plan already, the man's mind got back on track.
"Now...don't suppose you guys got dinner, right?" Carlos then asked, both out of actual curiosity and to help keep the facade running just in case.
"We got ice cream!" Gio proclaimed happily, revealing a plastic bag dangling from his tail, a colorful bucket noticeable through the transparent bag. Carlos pinched the bridge of his nose, letting out a defeated sigh.
"Whatever, I'll just figure something to cook later." He said, taking a hold of the bag, before looking back at Lily. "Unless any of you guys have anything left to do we should get out of the city first, we can't be more than some blocks away." Right, first order of business was probably getting her out of the city asap. They could worry about dinner somewhere else.

"Don't worry, hot stuff."
The Floramon rolled her eyes at Dio - and slipped right back into what seemed like a natural, breezy self. Carlos got Gio right on board with the bribe of popcorn, of all things, and it seemed like the facade was fully set up. All she had to do was play off context clues and pretend like she knew these two for her entire life!
On the surface, at least for her, that wasn't hard to do. "Well, so much for leaving him to keep an eye on dino-boy..." She gave an irritated sigh, sticking next to Carlos as she feigned a sense of disappointment in Dio. It quickly rolled off, though, the plant tapping her foot as she considered what there was to do around here. "Nah, I think I'm good. How about you boys?"
No need to make it look like she was rushing! Though as Carlos would eventually lead the group on, Bell would move in step with him, giving the occasional friendly chuckle at Dio's antics, just spending a good old afternoon stroll with her lovely brothers. They'd get down those few blocks without issue - though the moment they'd step onto the station, the plant gave an audible 'tch'.
Sovereign damn it, why here? Her eyes flicked to the left before purposefully looking away, seeing the Andromon and Angemon sitting at the bench nearest the Trailmon entrance. Were they going to inspect the papers of every Floramon that walked on by? If they were that thorough, this little trick wouldn't work. "Of all my rotten luck..." Her voice was barely a mutter. Any rational trainer wouldn't object to any sort of inspection.
So what was the best way to act irrationally?

"H-hot stuff?" The imp repeated as he glared at Bell, sounding more confused than anything despite the faint red tone in his face. Was she hitting on him? If so, he was at least glad Bloom wasn't around to see it, else he wouldn't hear the end of it.
"Let's just leave already, I'm not too big on sea air." Well that, and the sooner they could get to a place for the Floramon to explain everything for them the better. Or quietly part ways, that would work just as well. It didn't take much time for them to reach the station, and for a short, sweet moment of time it would seem like things would go without a hitch.
However fate was about to throw a wrench into their plans: it seemed the andromon from before was already waiting there for them, and was now accompanied with an angemon on top of that. Talk about going from bad to worse. "That guy doesn't give up, does he..." The man cursed under his breath, turning back to the trio of digimon.
"I guess if we're in a hurry we could think of a plan, but maybe we should just take the long way around and leave the city on foot..." He sighed, scratching his head as he tried to come up with a solution. Maybe it would be best if they simply played it safe and tried elsewhere?
However it seemed as Gio of all people was struck by a thought, the black scaled dinosaur approaching his tamer with a smile.
"I know!" He proclaimed, and without any further explanation he took the icecream bag off the man's hands and after leaving its contents safe on his smaller brother's hands, if Bell proceeded to try to shove the bag over the Floramon's head...assuming she didn't do anything to stop him of course.
The duo could do nothing but look at the guilmon in stunned silence for a moment. What was he trying to accomplish? Almost as if predicting the obvious question, Gio turned to them and explained, "Lilly is small enough to fit, right? If we hide her we can sneak her past!"
That...only raised more questions than answers for Carlos. Was he really trying to smuggle her onboard the train?!
"...wouldn't the bag look even more suspicious?" His question was only met by a collective shrug from both Gio and Dio, the former carrying an air of genuine confusion, the latter of silent resignment.
"Well, do you have any better ideas? Any of you?"

Was she hitting on him? Well, there was certainly a flirty tone in Bell's voice, but it was hard to tell if the Floramon was just stringing him along or if there was really something to it. Just as quick as the tone came, it left, and she'd pick up the act as the pair's sister, trying to keep track of her troublesome brothers. It would have all gone off without a hitch...
... If that damn Andromon wasn't right in the way. Thankfully, Carlos had the state of mind to keep his voice down, the Floramon staying relatively out of sight by keeping near Gio. The human's first idea was at least a starting point: go around the long way and hoof it? "Honestly I'd rather put as much distance between myself and this place as possible." The nearby woods were already a place she'd used as cover before, so it really wasn't safe for her to try it again. But what, exactly, could they -
Oh god damn it Gio! As the flicked that bag open, leaving the Impmon with a big arm-full of ice cream, the Floramon gave a step back, and awkwardly shoved a flower arm right in the dino's face to try and muffle out that excited talking! "As... glamorous as that idea sounds, Gio, I should remind you that the Andromon has already seen me next to our tamer here. There's a chance they'll think something's wrong if I'm not with you when you leave."
The issue at hand here? "We just have to find a way past them without them checking his Digivice. We could try and ignore them if they try and stop us... or... hm." She gave a blink, looking to Dio and Gio in particular.
"Do these two ever argue over stupid stuff? A good brotherly spat might work to draw their attention."

The small dragon didn't stop in his effort to try and hide Bell even as she shoved that arm of hers into his face, though her words did gave him reason enough to stop.
"Oh." Even someone as dense as him could tell she had a point, so the dinosaur fell silent, scratching his neck as he wracked his head trying to think of another way. Luckily she had an interesting option: distracting them with a "good brotherly spat". The twins stared at her for a moment, blinking in stunned silence...for all of five seconds.
"So you really expect us to fight just to save your hide?" Dio said, indignant as he crossed his arms, glaring at the Floramon with incredulity and anger. This Lily sure had a lot of nerve trying to start something like that between the two brothers just for her sake. Carlos quickly intervened before things escalated however.
"I doubt she meant an actual spat, Dio. Just...act like it, you know?" He shrugged, sure Carlos didn't have any evidence to support this but it was better than thinking Lily was either this desperate or...this ruthless.
"What would we even fight about though?" Gio pondered not so much to Carlos as he was just thinking aloud, though that didn't stop the man from answering.
"Maybe think of something about eachother you don't like? Something you're annoyed about?" Honestly Carlos was just grasping at straws at this point, not really wanting to start anything but also wanting to find a solution to their predicament quickly. However...it would seem Dio had taken that suggestion to heart.
"Like when Gio broke the wall on the room while playing tag?" He said half mockingly as he looked at the blackguilmon with a smug squint.
"I said I was sorry!" The reptile quickly said, a clear tone of guilt but also one with an emotion barely felt by the guilmon: annoyance. He had been getting flak from that one misshap for over a week now, and it was starting to wear thin, even for him. Unfortunately, Dio had already started and was not planning to stop so soon.
"Yeah, well being sorry won't fix the hole in the wall, dummy brain." Almost any other time Gio would have probably either ignored the hurtful comment or took it in stride, but this time however it was different. Either because tension was already high or because he was genuenly tired about hearing it, he'd actually reply to the impmon with a scowl,
"Well maybe if you could take a punch and weren't so weak I would have hit you instead of the wall!"
"Who are you calling weak?!"
And...just like that, what Bell wanted had suddenly come to pass: the brothers were now loudly at eachothers throats, and no ammount of civility from Carlos seemed to make any difference. After a bit of back and forth between the two the man would simply look at the plant, a clear look of annoyance yet defeat in his eyes.
"You happy now? Come on, this is our chance."

Ah, good. Gio might have seemed a little dense at first glance, but he was able to quickly understand the situation at hand as soon as 'Lily' explained the situation. She even gave Gio a smile: "Don't worry about it. Honestly, its the best idea we could have come up with, since you didn't know about that first part."
A compliment, at this stage? The conversation quickly trended another way, though, Floramon basically asking the two brothers to have a fight, for her benefit. Dio called her out on it immediately, Lily returning a shrug to his remark. "Well, a pretend fight, but that's basically right. Sorry to put you on the spot like this, hun."
Another small flirt to push things along... and, perhaps unsurprisingly, Dio was great at starting a fight. It didn't take long at all: over something so petty, the two were quickly invested into a shouting match, trying to put the other at fault. Honestly, the plant was half-convinced that they forgot that this was Lily's idea in the first place!
"Er, yeah. Let's not miss our train, Duke..."
"Hey, you two!"
Perfect timing: just as the Floramon pulled Carlos along towards the Trailmon, the Angemon and Andromon stepped right on up to the two arguing brothers, the angel attempting to hold Gio back as the machine stepped between the two of them. The Angel spat: "I don't care if you two fight, but not in the city!"
"Seriously, this over some game of tag?" The Andromon shook his head. "Apologize and we'll overlook it. Don't let us see you two get at it like this again."
Ah, government-sanctioned scolding - and the Floramon pulled right into a booth with Carlos, closing the door behind her as she finally gave a sigh of relief. "And just like that they forget all about us. Nice, sweet, and simple." Her friendly tone was replaced with a conniving, observational one, Bell no longer having to keep up the act in front of the human. She slumped back in her chair. "But, seriously, are those two always like that?"

Almost like clockwork did their "distraction" caught the attention of the two tall digimon who wasted no time in trying to break up the bickering before it escalated, while Carlos wasn't so much dragged along as he was shoved into the train by the floramon, all the while he looked back at the fighting twins. Was this really necesary? They were just two rookies after all...then again digimon were well known for transforming into giant beings of destruction at the drop of a hat, so the two guards weren't completely unjustified either.
Despite their intervention it seemed the brothers were too focused on their shouting to even pay attention to the Andromon and Angemon, though as soon as Gio found himself held back by something stronger than him did the shouting slowly quiet down some, not that it stopped him from thrashing about in an attempt to break free and possibly tackle his smaller brother. The guilmon however eventually stopped his struggling with a huff, liking down at the ground with a guilt ridden look, even his ears drooping to the side sadly like those of a wet puppy.
"I'm sorry..." Was his apology directed at the two digimon, or at Dio? It was hard to tell, but it was clear as day he wasn't at all happy with himself. Perhaps it was seeing his brother so down, perhaps wanting to heal his hurt pride after losing his cool so easily or just simply not wanting to get into more trouble, but Dio surprisingly didn't seem too keen on wanting to keep fanning the flames.
"Tch..." He pinched the bridge of his nose, and with a defeated sigh said, "...fine, I'm also sorry."
"Now could you unhand my brother, please? We have a train to catch." He added, cocking his head at the train.
Speaking of said train Carlos had been keeping an eye on the whole situation outside through the window next to his seat, only turning to face "Lily" once it seemed things calmed down a bit. Were his partners always like that? He couldn't help but chuckle a bit at such a question.
"Lily, you have no idea. Last night they fought over using a fork instead of chopsticks." He wasn't even sure how that fight had broke out to begin with, though he remembered clearly that it stopped as soon as he almost lost his eye to a flying fork. Not the fondest of memories for a late night dinner, but almost a funny one in hindsight.
At any rate, now that he saw his partners' "sister" relax at last, he figured now that they were hopefully in the clear was a good time to get some answers. And ironically, their recent distraction had gotten him to think just who were the ones after her? If those two digimons had been some random crooks why would they care to break up a fight between too rookies?
"If you don't mind me asking, who is after you and why?"

'Sorry'.
That was really all it took. Seeing the situation de-escalate, the Angemon let go of the struggling Guilmon, the Andromon lightly scoffing in Dio's direction. It didn't sound sincere from one of them, but at least they were no longer at risk of destroying the station. And writing up these two for a little argument really didn't seem like a good use of these guards' time.
They had to keep a lookout for Floramon trying to leave the city, after all. "Be on your way. Just look out for yourselves, alright?"
In all, a tame and expected end to the spat. The Floramon seemed almost amused by their antics, chancing a glance out the window before slouching back down - expertly keeping herself out of sight from the outside window and the door leading into this compartment. "Sheesh, forks and chopsticks? Look at my hands, I really don't have an affinity for either." She shared in that chuckle, seemingly glad to be about done with the day -
... Ah, right, this human wanted answers. "You sure like to stick your nose where there's trouble, now, don't you?" Bell stretched out her arms, head rested against the cushion of the chair behind her. "Mostly, its Whitewater police trying to execute an arrest warrant. The quick answer is 'I did science in a way they disagreed with' - if you want more than that, I'm going to need some assurance that you don't try to pitch me out the window right back at those guards."
She gave a sigh. But by that admission... did Carlos just help out the wrong side?

Well, at least they didnt keep the twins waiting for long, letting them go without so much as a slap in the wrist all things considered. Not that Dio would complain, of course. As they made their way into the train however, the imp would suddenly feel the nuzzling of his brother's head against his shoulder.
"What's gotten into you, dummy?" He asked, though once he saw the guiltfilled eyes in the guilmon's face it was clear what his intentions were.
"Bro uhm...I'm sorry. You're not that weak, I was just angry." Gio said, his tone carrying far more sadness than his earlier behaviour would ever imply. Dio shook his head and chuckled, before patting the digimon's head.
"Hey, don't worry about it. Now let's go before Carlos gets himself into more trouble with that plant." Having said that and seeing Gio perk up almost immediatelly the imp climbed on board the soon to depart train, and began looking for where the other two were sitting.
Meanwhile Carlos was...feeling more concerned with each passing second to be blunt. So those two were Whitewater police! And Bell's vaguely wording of "science in a way they disagreed with" had bad news written all over it. That could mean a lot of things, most of them bad.
"Fuck me..." The man sighed under his breath, pinching the bridge of his nose. Just what had he let himself be dragged into this time? And most importantly did he really want to find out? After a tense moment of silence passed he would turn to the Floramon once again.
"People do say I have a talent for attracting trouble." Well, he was still willing to give her some benefit of the doubt...if only because doing otherwise while alone without the aid of his partners was probably a bad idea. "...alright, I'm listening, what sort of assurance would work for you? Because I'm kinda too curious now and I kinda want to know."
