Personality: At first glance, Hiroshi is a pretty down-to-earth and casual guy. He's mature, tries his best to be a logical voice of reason, and tries to be responsible and on top of things. He's not the most social butterfly, but he's friendly and agreeable; and is happiest when putting himself to a task - be it his job, or helping out those around him, particularly his younger sister. He also enjoys unwinding with activities such as with sports like basketball or soccer, with television shows - particularly more actiony shows - and with listening to rock music. All in all, he seems like a pretty standard guy, who doesn't mind living a carefree and routine life.
While a lot of this is true, though... He does tend to have issues, deep down. Issues that he recognizes, and oftentimes tries to hide, but struggles with nonetheless. He struggles with paranoia and anxiety, leading him to - despite appearances - not trust strangers easily, in fact being quite wary of them even if he seems friendly. He also is compulsive in ensuring not only his own security, but his sister's especially; as though fearing the worst if he doesn't. He struggles with occasional bouts of insomnia and nightmares - which generally leaves him running on little to no sleep in the day. And finally, he also very particular about physical contact with others besides those most closest to him as a result of having Haphephobia - the fear of being touched - leading to even simple handshakes being stressful for him.
Overall, he deals with constant stress from these issues of his, even as he bottles it up and puts on a smile; which can lead to emotional breakdowns when no one is looking and he can finally let down his shell, or when presented with an issue that breaks the proverbial camel's back and leaves him unable to take it anymore.
On top of all of this though, he is also very much devoted to his younger sister, Madoka. Being her legal guardian, and also having more or less grown up with her in a rough situation where they only had each other to really rely on - he has grown to be extremely protective of her, and is, essentially, emotionally reliant on her. He values Madoka above himself; believing that he's flawed and broken on the inside, even as he tries to put up a positive front - and hopes that he can put her on a better path than his own. This can lead to self-destructive tendencies though - where he is willing to hurt himself or give up his own happiness in lieu of protecting Madoka and her happiness, and has trouble saying 'no' to her outside of dangerous situations. Though, he also sometimes can't help but wonder, for how long he can keep this up...
Appearance:
Standing at 5'11'', Hiroshi is a respectably tall young man, with messy ear-length black-and-white hair, near-black dark blue eyes, and fair skin. Hiroshi has vitiligo, which - while it is barely noticeable on his skin given that it is already pale, leads to the patchy black-and-white of his hair. He has somewhat wide shoulders and a lean but fit build, and tends to keep clean shaven with his nails being short from chewing - though he otherwise tries to keep them clipped to hide it.
He favors blues and neutral colors such as whites, blacks, and greys for clothing, though he also favors wearing work-appropriate (office work to be specific) clothing such as button-up shirts and dress-pants - especially during the weekdays - as well as simple small loop earrings as an accessory.
FaceClaim: Fate/EXTELLA LINK • Charlemagne • Hiroshi Saito
Personal History:
Hiroshi, from a young age, grew up not knowing his real father. After a rough divorce about a half-year after his birth, where his mother maintained custody and had cut off contact to move to Shibuya, all he had ever known for a parent, initially, was his mother. A narcissistic, liar of a mother - who wanted to see Hiroshi succeed, become something great, so that she could ride off the coattails of his success. And when Hiroshi - despite his best efforts to be the Golden Child - couldn't stand up to her absurd expectations as he grew up, neglect and verbal abuse oftentimes followed.
Though, on top of a narcissistic mother, Hiroshi would also - from his early teens onward - be faced with an almost equally narcissistic stepfather, with a physically abusive streak - like yet also unlike his mother - whenever he proved to be doing unsatisfactory. After the divorce, his mother would go through a small handful of relationships with other men - ranging from good, to bad, to in between - before she'd settle on a man who proved to be but birds of a feather with her. It would be with this stepfather, though, that Madoka would be born - Hiroshi's half-sibling, whom from the first time he had laid eyes on her, he would've vowed to protect from the ire of their parents.
Thus, for much of Madoka's childhood, Hiroshi would take the brunt of their parents' anger to shield her - putting on a smile for her to make sure that she wouldn't face the same issues as him, that she wouldn't be forced to become someone she wasn't to make anyone happy. All the whilst, he would bide his time - saving up whatever money he could, with the ultimate goal of eventually leaving his family behind with Madoka.
And at the age of 19, after years of odd jobs, saving money, and hunting for a place to stay... He did. After a rough legal case that would conclude with Hiroshi becoming Madoka's legal guardian, he would take the time to leave with Madoka, the both of them moving into a simple townhouse together - so that they would no longer need to worry about their parents, and so that Hiroshi could focus on giving Madoka the future that he felt he'd be unable to have...
Digimon Name - Partner #1: Celes
Default Form: Gabumon
Gender: Female
Alignment: True Neutral/Evil
Skills/Talents:
- Especially in her more canid forms, Celes is good at tracking others down by scent, and knows how to pick out other signs of a passing digimon, such as footprints or shed fur.
- Celes knows how to put on a show of strength to intimidate others - oftentimes to get her way, depending on the situation.
- Though she may not look like one for it, Celes secretly has an appreciation for glassblowing - and knows a few tricks in using her own fire to heat and shape the glass.
- Celes is difficult to scare under pressure - in fact, instead of scaring, she tends to get angry easily; though this can sometimes lead to hasty decisions made under heightened emotions.
- Sometimes, Celes writes during her offtime; typically keeping a journal, though she sometimes writes short bits of poetry or story ideas, too.
Personality:
An ornery Gabumon rife with anger issues, Celes isn't someone who you approach lightly. She rarely trusts others easily, is difficult to talk to, and is also quick to anger easily - flying into rages that are oftentimes fiery both literally, and figuratively. Were one to not know any better, they may think that Celes is more a feral digimon than anything; though in truth, a lot of this anger is a form of her grieving. A lot of this anger, is misdirected anger that she feels towards anomalies - the anomalies that had taken everything she had, everything that made her happy, away from her.
She lost her glory days in her prime, she lost the work that she had put into helping her team... She lost people close to her, including the very digimon that she loved with all her heart - Ace. And without Ace being there to balance her out, to help her temper out her more volatile personality? Well, all that she has left anymore is Fiora - to whom she is inexplicably linked now - as well as her own rage and spite towards the anomalies who took them away. This anger of hers drives her to wanting to seek revenge upon the anomalies - though in being blinded by this anger, she doesn't care if those she takes her anger out on are innocent. All she wants anymore is to have everything she lost back, and if she can't manage that, then she'll seek catharsis or closure instead - even if that catharsis is ill-gotten...
Even in her quest for vengeance, though, she hasn't forgotten about the one she still has. She looks to Fiora like a little sister, and protects her to an almost paranoid degree sometimes - fearful of what might happen if she were to lose the little Wormmon, too. Between this, and a severe insomnia that Celes has developed after one too many nights filled with strange night-terrors, it isn't uncommon for Celes to stay the night awake - watching over and protecting Fiora all the whilst...
Personal History:
In a past life, long ago, there were four digimon. Celes the Gabumon, Fiora the Wormmon, Ace the V-Mon, and Markus the Agumon. These four were a tightly-knit squad, back then; and they were part of a team - Mainframe - whose goal centered around the study and containment of anomalies in the Digital World - so as to better understand the lesser-understood machinations of their world, and to protect others from dangerous anomalies... as well as to protect anomalies who were endangered, either by others, or themselves. In Mainframe, this squad of four acted both as guardians who would watch over the base, as well as occasionally setting out on missions to contain or study anomalies in more dangerous missions - being well-respected within the team as very strong and capable digimon.
Of the squad, Ace was the face and the leader - being a confident, friendly, and sociable soul who was good at keeping morale up, and executing plans. Markus was the brains and supplier of the squad; being surprisingly intelligent, forming plans for them and having friends in both high and low places to get any information or supplies necessary for missions or containment. Celes was the brawn, being a born fighter who enjoyed getting into the fray of things - and oftentimes being at the front lines of things. Finally, there was Fiora - who was the medic and soul of the team, being the glue that helped keep everyone together, and being the one to make sure everyone was in healthy and tip-top shape.
With their position and roles, the squad was efficient; rising to any challenge with ease, and having helped in the containment and study of multiple anomalies within Mainframe. And with their aid, it seemed that Mainframe was on the verge of having a breakthrough that could shake the Digital World...
... But the happiness that the team - and the squad of four, by extension - led would, sadly, not last forever.
No one to this day knows how exactly it happened - be it foul play, a mistake, or simply them having bitten off more than they could chew - but, one day... A massive mass-breakout would occur, amongst the anomalies contained in Mainframe. Many digimon would die that day, either in an attempt to escape, or an attempt to re-contain the escaping anomalies; and amongst those casualties, would be the squad of four - Fiora, Celes, Ace, and Markus all dying in the process of trying to hold back the swarm to try and save what lives they could. And in the process of these deaths... Their very data would end up corrupted or otherwise loaded, from the nature of the anomalies that they fought.
As a result - only Fiora and Celes would be able to properly revert; and only after an extended period of reconfiguration, the remnants of Ace's and Markus' data being used to fill in the gaps in their own data, albeit unknowingly. As Ace and Markus were unable to properly revert, though... Fiora and Celes would be left to grieve for the fallen; the loss of their team, the loss of those closest to them... Celes having lost close friends, Ace in particular having been her lover - and Fiora having lost whom she counted on as family...
And yet, displaced in time due to how long the reversion process took, all they could do anymore is pick up what pieces remained - and try to find their own way to move on.

Species: Gabumon
Appearance:
Attribute: Data
Family/ies: Nature Spirits, Virus Busters
Type: Reptile
Fighting Style: Celes is a frontliner, and she is very much a pissed off frontliner. She'll use Scaly Skin to increase her defense whilst wailing on the foe with Blazer Claw and Blazer Fury; though woe be to the foe that turns their eyes upon Fiora, for Celes is unafraid to punish enemies for not paying attention to her and her alone.
Abilities:
[NONCOMBAT PASSIVE] Reptillian Senses: Though a Gabumon might wear the pelt of a beast, its senses are still very much reptilian. Celes' hearing is mostly standard, but she has keen eyesight even in dim conditions, and has a good sense of smell.
[NONCOMBAT PASSIVE] Warm Coat: Celes' fur coat protects her from cold conditions, and she is able to share the fur coat with others - assuming she chooses to do so.
[PASSIVE] Vengeful Beast: Celes is a digimon driven by anger and vengeance - and is unafraid to take up on any excuses to let that anger out on others. If Fiora is intentionally targeted at by an enemy's attack or ability, Celes deals 50% more damage against that enemy specifically for that round. The same enemy cannot trigger this effect twice.
[ABILITY] Scaly Hide: Underneath her fur is the scaly hide of a reptile - and though Gabumon are normally ones to disguise themselves as beasts, Celes is unafraid to use what she's got. For two turns, the scales underneath Celes' fur coat grow thick and visibly spiky as she (unknowingly) draws upon the draconic data within her - increasing her defense by 50%. [2 Turn Cooldown]
[ATTACK] Blazer Fury: Letting her own anger take over, Celes wreaths both of her claws in blue fire and strikes wildly at a foe of her choice. Normally, this is a low-accuracy but otherwise hard hitting move; though it has increased accuracy against targets who have triggered Vengeful Beast. [2 Turn Cooldown]
[ATTACK] Blazer Claw: Enhancing one of her claws with blue flames, Celes strikes at the foe - dealing a mix of fire and physical damage.
