Those final minutes burned their way into Mikemon's heart. The fox would lie down, perhaps knowing that her feet would never meet the floor again, and Mikemon would carefully take her hand in his own. She'd be able to feel it: the shiver in the Mikemon's hands as he performed this act, smiling as he nodded with her words.
"You were a wonderful mother to them. They'll grow up to be even more spectacular Digimon than they are right now... and I know you'll look on as they do, wherever you end up." He gave a smile, leaning right back against K as he nuzzled up to her cheek. But it was to come to an end.
She was tired. Her data was starting to go into phase, and her core was quickly turning into nothing but spirals of code inside her chest. Tightening his grip, he felt his smile widen, tears starting to build up in the doctor's eyes.
"I love you, K. To the wonderful fox who saved me from myself... well. I couldn't have asked for a better year and a half."

K could feel it coming undone.
Everything that she was, everything that she would of been. Slowly pulling away from her, into the darkness of another life. Another place. The bonfire itself beckoning to her, she could feel the shivering, the re-assuring tone that the mikemon gave her. She'd weakly squeeze at his hands, as she felt the moments inch and crawl their way to her.
"I tried... My best to be what I could to them... I'm glad I was able to be a.. mother... but I'm sad I won't be able to see them grow further..."
K breathed out softly as she could feel the slow movements of her data start to pull away from her. She could feel it starting to happen and the renamon slowly opened her eyes. Staring at the mikemon as he told her that he loved her, that he couldn't ask for a better year and a half. She had saved him from himself.
" Thank you mikemon...You... did everything... and more... T-....Thank... you..."
Those few fading words and a soft but gentle kiss was all that was left. Afterwards her data pulled apart at the seams, the warmth that was left over faded away as her body unraveled into pure bits of data. They hovered in place for a moment before dissipating completely into nothingness.
And from the other room a howl of grief came from their youngest daughter...

"..."
The moment was fast at hand. Mikemon knew it, K knew it, and the world was not going to be merciful enough to even give them more than two minutes to see her off. But the cat kept his composure, keeping his promise, a smile on his face to see his wonderful wife off. All he could reply with were two words of his own.
"Thank you." That soft tone was met with a bare touch of their lips, a final kiss given by the love of his life. Mere moments later, she was gone, a red trail of wispy data slipping up to the ceiling of the room. The cat looked on as that data spiraled on, before simply vanishing into the open air. He kept his smile, until that last particle vanished...
... And with Holly's howl of grief, Mikemon collapsed. Tears began to stream down the side of his face, his claws digging into that pillow that K rested her head on, easily tearing through the material. She was gone.
She was gone..
Syre's cries joined in with Holly's, the black cat desperately trying to keep herself together, only to find herself hold tight around her sister and bawl her own eyes out.
They'd given K the best week of her life. But now, they had to figure out how to live in a world without her.
