While Persephone's idea on letting Kenny and Skadi design the scarf was a good idea - in theory, in practice it was quickly becoming apparent that letting 2 people with two completely clashing design philosophies somehow agreeing with each other on each and every bit wasn't exactly easy to work with, but Persephone was somehow handling that like a champ. Speaking of, the Dorumon would suggest about adding embroidery to the scarves, and the potential thread colours, and right away, Kenny would have the answer, "Yeah, how about cream for the embroidery, now that you mention it. I'd say that would compliment the scarf well."
Baldur's comment about Skadi did make Kenny chuckle and clap a bit upon hearing that, "Somehow, that doesn't sound far off from the truth." He smiled, his eyes slowly sliding to to Skadi with a sly look, while she giggled again. She really did have quite the sweet tooth to her name, "I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out Skadi was secretly hoarding sweets behind my back." As for Baldur asking about homemade things, Kenny couldn't help but nod, along with Skadi, "Really have to agree with you on that one, and, sorry if this sounds cheesy as all hell, but especially when it comes from the heart." He told Baldur, while his glance drifted to Persephone with a grateful smile.
Skadi's digivolution to Weatherdramon had been warmly received by Persephone and Baldur, as they would approach her, the latter musing whenever they could fly together sometime. If anything, they did give Skadi time to slip in a quick joke herself, "Well... I am levitating. I think that counts... kinda. Sorta. Probably." She chuckled a little bit, as she rubbed the back of her neck with her free hand.
Faint sounds of crackling could heard coming from Skadi's portable cloud, but thankfully, touching it or Skadi wouldn't give the victim much more than either a mere jolt or poofy hair. But Skadi herself didn't mind as Peresphone came in to take a feel of the drake's scales, only for the Dorumon's fur to suffer the same fate as Kenny's hair - getting all puffy, which made Skadi giggle at her unfortunate victims' fates. But Persephone's comment made Kenny take notice, "Wait, what do you mean-" He would get his answer as he touched the top of his hair, before bursting out laughing himself, and patting down his hair, "Oh yeah. I still never got why that never happened to me before now. Unless..." Cue Skadi just whistling casually. Even a dead goldfish would be able to put together that Skadi put her mischievous side in play again.
Anyways, Persephone would bring up a bit more about Skadi and Valt, making the Weatherdramon blush herself, "Aww, thanks Persephone. That was really sweet of you to say." Kenny just smiled at her; Valt had seen a lot of potential inside the Valaismon for a very good reason. The fact that Valt loved a good spar with random nobodies did heavily indicate that was his way of fishing for apprentices.
"I wouldn't blame you for thinking that way, Perry." Kenny added, "What Skadi did was that she used her fancy orb thing to absorb these powerful winds that the Cardinaldramon summoned to help ease the pain, and while he was chasing her, she literally struck him point blank in the face with them without warning. I remember how Skadi got all giddy about being told how 'clever' she was, and how she managed to 'pass' his test." He would reminisce with a happy sigh.
"Aw, come on, Kenny," Skadi hovered over to her tamer, throwing an arm around him and pulling him close, "Valt knew I was amazing! Why else would he pop the offer to make me his apprentice in the first place after the battle?"
"You do have a point there." Kenny had to concede.

Cream, huhm? Persephone would hum to herself - "Sounds good, dears" - as she made to dig through her sewing supplies; idly looking over the threads she had to pick out the color in question, and taking a second to sip some of her tea while it was still fresh. "Is there anything special in particular that you'd like embroidered, you two?" She'd also question to them, glancing back at them once she had picked out her thread of choice. "I could do something like your guys' names on your respective scarves, or some sort of symbol, or even just a basic pattern or decor." She'd suggest as a few potential ideas - setting up what looked to be a sewing machine now, that she used for both embroidery and, well, sewing. "Ah, Baldur - could you get the plug?" "On it!"
As Baldur would briefly move to help Persephone set up the sewing machine, they'd smile back at Kenny and Skadi, mentioning "If you ask me, if Skadi is keeping a secret hoard of sweets anywhere, I'd think it'd be in her wool." with a brief chuckle, adding "It's so thick and fluffy, she could probably hide a whole bunch of things in there, and nobody but she would even know! Though..." Baldur would briefly pause - both to think, and to duck under the table to plug the sewing machine in - "... Now that has me wondering if anyone has ever tried to hide things in Skadi's fur, without her realizing it!"
As the duo would concur with Baldur's comment regarding homemade things being better - and adding especially when it comes from the heart - Persephone would blink, before growing sheepish - giggling with a shy smile as her fur puffed up in what was, likely, her own version of a blush. "Oh, you dears..." She'd murmur - still shyly giggling as she made to gently brush her fur flat with her claws. "You'll be the death of me, with how sweet you've all been to me; thank you."
"Oh, certainly!" Baldur would laugh gently with Skadi in response to her little joke. "Though, the feeling of stretching my wings for a quick morning fly is so satisfying; but I suppose it's something that's more common to most winged digimon, like Bird Digimon such as myself, or certain Dragon digimon." They'd conclude with a brief chuckle, rubbing the back of their head in a sheepish fashion. "You could probably compare it to stretching your arms or legs, but with a lot more freedom paired with it? Hard to explain, really."
Persephone, too, would giggle at Kenny's response - and then his realization that his hair had not escaped Skadi's static, either. "Hmm~ I can see that you have quite the cheeky side to you on top of all that humor, don't you Skadi?" Persephone would comment to the Weatherdramon with visible amusement, as she managed to pat down her fur. "I may prefer jokes over pranks, but I can still appreciate that sort of humor," Baldur mused with a brief chuckle, passing Persephone her brush, so that she should brush her fur more properly as she made to sit back down and return to work.
All the whilst though, Persephone would smile to Skadi at the other's blushing over the praise; "You seem like a rather bright girl, and I imagine that's part of what drew Valt to you; he's always had a penchant for spotting others' inner potential." And in listening to Kenny's recount of the fight, she'd giggle briefly - adding "And no wonder he seemed impressed; that was certainly a clever move on Skadi's part; turning a stronger foe's strength against them." Baldur seemed to concur, nodding as they added "I certainly wouldn't want to try my luck matching claws to yours', if you're able to kick rear like that!" with a cheery chuckle.

Truth be told, Kenny was never much for good clothes. He would often wear what was comfortable for him and looked decent, including weird artsy t-shirts in more recent times, only wearing more smart casual wear during work. But the idea of having his and Skadi's name sewed on their own respective scarf sounded nice; Kenny and Skadi nodded once again, while Kenny replied, "Yeah, actually, I think that name thing is a good idea. If anything, it could at least prevent me from finding shed wool on my own scarf."
Baldur's joke about Skadi probably hiding random stuff in her wool wasn't lost on Kenny; many animals in the animal kingdom had a habit of storing food in their own bodies. But Skadi's antics from the other day, while he was sick, gave him quite the idea, as he briefly put down his cup, "You know what, Baldur? How about I find out right now?" He grinned mischievously with his fingers wiggling, just as Skadi put down her cup briefly. She had no time to react, she let out a little yelp before Kenny leaned down to tickle her, pretending to 'search' her by digging his fingers into her skin, while she laughed uproariously. It felt good to get revenge, at least.
As soon as he stopped tickling his partner, Skadi panted quite a bit in exhaustion from laughing so hard. She gave herself a minute to breath before coming back to her tea, still giggling quite a bit. Kenny, on the other hand, pulled away from Skadi and smiled at Baldur with a shrug, "Nope, can't find anything." He chuckled.
It was clear that Skadi and Baldur had quite the sense of humour towards them, it was like Skadi and Ophelia, with the rowdiness and batshit crazy antics that only God, Buddha and Arceus knew what would be coming next switched out for lighthearted jokes with one another, and as Peresphone and Baldur noted about her mischief while in her Weatherdramon form, Skadi just looked over to Kenny and smirked, "Consider that a bit of revenge from earlier." The Dorumon wasn't wrong in her assumption.
"Skadi's harmless pranks are generally one of the many ways she shows affection to others, but especially me. I should know," He said, rubbing the back of his neck, "She's pranked me a lot, her personal favourite being the pie in the face. The fact I've been the only victim of this particular prank kind of tells me a lot."
Peresphone's praise about Skadi's sneaky tactic had garnered quite a bit of phrase from Peresphone and Baldur, the former noting about her own skill, and Baldur proclaiming how they probably wouldn't want to fight Skadi anytime soon, much to the disappointment of the Weatherdramon, "Aw, that's a shame. I'd love to show you a thing or two in combat sometimes." She lightly bemoaned.
"Well, even if Baldur did want to pick a friendly fight with you right now, obviously this wouldn't exactly the best place to do it right now." Kenny said, gesturing to the entire room, "But yeah, she's a very clever girl. Sadly, that wouldn't be enough. Valt eventually did manage to finish her off quickly with the swing of a sword, but props to Skadi for not quitting until the bitter end." He lifted his D-Nexus again, reverting Skadi back to her Valaismon form once again, before he took his and Skadi's tea, giving her own one back before they got back to the bed, the tea having cooled quite a bit.
"As part of the bet, me and Skadi were tossed into the nearest lake, courtesy of Ryouta and Valt. And Skadi was quite a good sport about it. I think she was more disappointed that she couldn't really do much to Valt than the fact she actually lost the battle, because she was laughing her head off after seeing the states of the both of us." Cue Skadi lightly elbowing him.
"I think you forgot that Ryouta and Valt did join us after they tossed in." Skadi pointed out to her tamer with a smile.
"Fair point." Kenny nodded, taking another sip of his tea.

So just the names, it seemed. Persephone would nod, already seeming to be switching in a few parts and bits in her sewing machine to prepare for the embroidery. "Can do, dears." She'd mention with a smile to them, her tail idly swishing as she threaded the cream thread that the duo had picked out before into the machine. Once the sewing machine was set up, she'd then take some brief time to figure out how she wanted to go about embroidering in the duo's names, taking some scrap paper to sketch on, and a marker to mark out the pattern on the scarves. "I'm already feeling good about these scarves," She'd idly comment to no one in particular, chuckling gently to herself.
Meanwhile, Baldur would be unable to help laughing as Kenny began to 'search' thru Skadi's fur - tickling the little Valaismon mercilessly! Oh, these two were both a hoot, bouncing off of both Baldur's humor, and each other's, effortlessly; the Hawkmon was having a ball watching the two of them get into their own brief antics! As Kenny would finally pull back to announce that he didn't find anything though, Baldur would feign disappointment - snapping their fingers (Or would it be feathers? Baldur would take a brief moment to look at their own wings, but decided against overthinking it too hard) and remarking "We've been played like fiddles, this time!" with a joking, humorous laugh.
As Kenny mentioned the pranks, though, Baldur would chuckle and nod in understanding. "Pranks and in-jokes amongst friends are great, and there's nothing quite like sharing a couple with those you love!" They'd remark with an energetic gesture of a wing, grinning widely. "There's nothing that I love more than making everyone happy, giving them a laugh, and making every day in life a jolly party!" After all, it was hard to worry, or let yourself be down and sad, if everyone was having a good time! "Why let yourself get depressed and down, when you can try to find the humor in everything, and make the most of what you have, instead?"
Skadi's bemoaning drew another laugh from Baldur, though; the Hawkmon lightly patting Skadi's back with a wing, even if the static from her body would make the more downy feathers on their body briefly puff up. "Certainly not here; we'd make a mess of poor Persephone's room, after all." They'd agree with a short nod, chuckling. "But perhaps if I ever become a Champion, or if you ever wanted to spar in Rookie form, I could take you up in it sometime... I admit I'm not the biggest fighter, but I like to think that I have a few interesting tricks!" Baldur grinned happily, puffing their chest in a bit of playful pride; they liked to think that they do best in team situations, bolstering the speed of their allies whilst placing whirlwinds strategically... Though one-on-one fights would be a bit interesting, too...!
As Kenny and Skadi would wrap up their story though, the two would nod and chuckle; Baldur sitting down on the bed with the other two as the three of them sipped their teas. "It sounds as though you all had a ball with the spar, though." Persephone would comment, seeming to be eyeballing the sewing machine briefly before she would start it up - the WHRRRRR from the machinery within being quite audible as she begun on the embroidery. It wasn't loud enough to drown out conversation, but the sewing machine was definitely a bit noisy! "Ah, I really should have Hilda or Matty look at the dang thing sometime..." She'd breathe to herself, ears tilting back a hair at the noise and shaking her head a bit at the sewing machine as she worked.
Baldur would glance to Persephone and the machine, before sheepishly chuckling - rubbing the back of their head - but otherwise didn't comment on it, instead commenting on the story. "Skadi certainly sounds as though she's a tough cookie, though; and I'm sure you've done your fair share of backing her up, seeing as the both of you are partners." Baldur mused, sipping their tea. "I have to wonder what it'd be like, having a human partner of my own, haha!"

Baldur's musing's about good natured pranks and jokes did resonate quite a lot with Kenny, and the former's mentioning about their love of making their fellow man happy made them sound like they were certainly a great person to have around. "Heh. True." Kenny agreed with the small but sweet bald eagle, "I've been working on being more optimistic myself. And ever since I joined KIZNA, I've made quite a way to go so far. I already got a slew of new friends around here, including you guys."
The fact that Skadi's Weatherdramon body made Baldur's body puff up like Persephone before them wasn't so easily lost on them, with Kenny chuckling once more at their silly looking appearance, and forced Skadi to try and stifle her own giggles. But still, their interest in wanting to spar with Skadi did make her happy. "Heck yes!" She exclaimed, pumping a fist, "In fact, I'm happy to spar with you in the near future, no matter the form. Maybe I could hit you up on Tamernet sometimes to set up a good time for us to spar?"
"I do have to warn you, though." Kenny added, leaning down to Baldur's level, "She's pretty crazy in combat. And very unpredictable; she won't go down without a fight so easily, if Valt and Ophelia learnt the hard way. Still, I bet you could teach Skadi a new trick or two. I think she'd like a new sparring buddy sometime, right girl." He turned to Skadi, who nodded equally, before smiling at Baldur, before patting them on the head and getting up to rejoin his own partner.
Having gotten them rested back on the cozy bed, sipping their delicious tea once again, Kenny and Skadi had spotted Baldur had joined them on the bed as well. Not that anybody were complaining at this point; in fact, Baldur would find that Skadi was slowly eking her way over to her new friend. However, before they could reply to the Dorumon's comment, the sewing machine would screech loudly, making Skadi yelp once more in surprise. Kenny winced a little bit at first, but only a few moments later, he mentally adjusted himself to the noise. He could learn to deal with it.
But Baldur's comment about Skadi and their willingness to have a human partner to call their own did make Kenny intrigued quite a bit, "Well, as a tamer, and a human, I can easily tell you that my own partner Digimon has been quite a handful at times, but ultimately very rewarding for the both of us. We essentially work together to conquer any challenge that comes our way." He explained to Baldur, before sipping his tea a bit, "Think of it as a bit of a symbiotic relationship. The human and the Digimon both benefit from it, and become stronger together, in more ways than one, may I add."
Skadi eagerly nodded in agreement, "It's true! We've done a lot of great things together! Just recently, in the real world, we managed to stop a potentially dangerous Digimon and her cronies with a peaceful protest led by Cassie. Yuuki was so proud of us! We were great heroes!" She squeaked happily, but Kenny would just simply blush again.
"Actually, Cassie did a lot more than the both of us, to be honest." Kenny replied, a little embarrassed. "To be honest, I was a little worried at first, but Cassie I think would make a great leader someday. She has quite a lot of moxie, determination and optimism herself."

Baldur smiled widely at Kenny's mention of his attempts to improve his own optimism, as well as the mention of having made many new friends, as well as having made plenty of progress after having joined KIZNA. "That's great!" They'd call happily, reaching over with a wing to pat Kenny's back, seemingly in a praising fashion. "Find those who make you feel happy and welcome, those who you feel comfortable being yourself around, and life becomes all the more bright for it!"
Even with Baldur's puffed up feathers from Skadi's static, though, as well as the duo's laughter, the eager Hawkmon couldn't help but laugh with; taking the time to pat down their feathers. "Hah, I should've expected that," They'd murmur with an amused tone; smiling up to Skadi and Kenny. "Tamernet sounds good, though; let me get my D-Nexus out, and we can trade some details lickety-split!" And just as they said, Baldur would briefly take the moment to dig thru their messenger bag that hung from their shoulder; pulling out a D-Nexus much like Kenny's own, though this one seemed to be a warm gold as opposed to whatever color Kenny's may be.
Whilst Baldur moved over to Kenny's side to trade contact info, though, they'd glance up to the young man as Kenny leaned to his level, and gave Baldur a heads-up about Skadi's unpredictable nature during combat. This would elicit a brief blink from the Hawkmon, before Baldur simply chuckled perhaps a bit sheepishly or nervously; rubbing the back of their head. "Ahhh, I'm sure it'll be fine! Only concern would be that I - as I mentioned before, - am not the hugest fighter; so it's likely Skadi would kick my tailfeathers flat-out. But, there's no harm in a bit of practice or learning experience, really!"
It did remind Baldur to make sure that Haku or Hikaru were home for a quick and easy mending, though, before they did any sparring... Persephone could certainly mend them, her having learned much from her brother and father; but they didn't want to risk tiring her out by making her handle all healing!
As they all settled down onto Persphone's bed, though, Baldur could easily see - and feel, with the shifting of the bed - that Skadi was slowly scooting closer to them. Baldur couldn't help but chuckle at this, and scoot closer to Skadi in turn; sipping their tea as they did. Much as the duo was about to respond to Persephone's comment before they were interrupted, though, Baldur had been about to mention something to Skadi before the loud 'WHRRR' of the sewing machine startled the lot of them!
Persephone was quick to notice this, though; the Dorumon sheepishly glancing back to them. "Ah... Sorry about that, guys... I think I need to get the sewing machine looked at; though it should still work, it's just been noisier than usual lately..." She'd apologize gently; seeming perhaps a bit self-conscious that the machine had disturbed the three of them. Baldur - whose feathers had puffed up in response to being startled - would be the first to respond though, laughing the surprise off with a gentle smile. "Oh, it's quite alright, Perry; they say that 'downy and puffy' is in fashion, this time of the year!" They'd chirp - prompting a soft giggle from the Dorumon, as she got to work on the embroidery for the two scarves.
With the talk of Kenny's and Skadi's partnership, though, Baldur would listen closely and curiously; idly shifting a bit in their position so that they could be facing Kenny proper. It sounded as though the bond between them was indeed as strong as one would imagine; and that from this bond, they both had something to gain from it - a mutual give and take. Baldur smiled warmly to Skadi and Kenny both - though the mention of Cassie would make them perk up curiously in recognition; Persephone, too, perking up a little. "Ah, that little Gomamon...?" She would question briefly in clarification - before smiling fondly. "I remember her, she's quite the pleasant little gal, ain't she?"
"Oh, I recall you talking about her, before!" Baldur responded with a brief gesture of their wing, laughing gently. Persephone had done Cassie's pink scarf as well, after all; and the Dorumon could fondly recall the time she spent with the Gomamon-X - who had taken to snuggling up to her whilst she sewed the scarf! Ophelia, too, was pleasant; even if she had a bit of a hard time sitting still, unless she had someone to snuggle up to, as well.
But, before they got too side-tracked, Baldur would turn their attention back to what Skadi and Kenny had mentioned before, in particular the incidents of Golden Week. "Ah, right, I remember the team being quite abuzz with that whole shebang!" Baldur would mention with a thoughtful hum and chuckle; stroking their chin briefly. "It sounds like you all did quite well, though, even if the Cass lass had stolen the show, for the most part!" They'd compliment Kenny and Skadi with a laugh. "Especially if you had gotten Yuuki's praise for it, on top of it all!"
"Being partners with someone else, though... It sounds quite interesting; being able to help eachother out, to overcome even the toughest challenges..." Baldur hummed, sipping down the last of their tea, and setting the cup aside for now as they hummed in thought. "Hm... Might I ask what you two think is your favorite part, about being partners with each other?" This question would be asked with a somewhat playful smile - Baldur liked seeing the two find happiness in their bond, and admittedly found it all rather endearing; so what better question to ask, to see more of it?

While Baldur's enthusiasm to indeed trade details with the duo had clearly appeased Kenny and Skadi, the Hawkmon did seem to be a little nervous about their own battle prowess compared to the Valaismon. But Kenny attempted to reassure them in turn, "Don't stress yourself, Baldur, you'll do fine, I know it." He smiled at them, pulling out his own D-Nexus to swap details with Baldur. "Anyways, here's our details. We usually respond as soon as we can. Sound good?" Even if Baldur was right and Skadi did manage to wipe the floor with them, Ramona would most likely be on standby to patch the combatants up back to normal.
With all 3 now comfortably settled on the bed, Kenny could feel the shuffling between both Skadi and Baldur on his part of the bed, and the apparent affection these 2 seemed to radiate off on one another was pretty plain to see (even Skadi was seemingly trying to nuzzle them as well), at least for Kenny, who started to chuckle at a thought emerging in his head: would these 2 make a great couple someday? After all, Hikaru, a wolfox, and Owen, a dog, managed to give birth to a boatload of Digimon of all shapes and sizes, anything was fair game at this point. But the sudden noise from the machine caught everybody off guard.
As Persephone apologised for the noisy machinery, Kenny, like Baldur before him, would also try to reassure the grey Dorumon with another smile, "It's fine, Perry, don't worry. Honestly, I do wish I could do something to help you with it, but I don't think repairing sewing machines is my forte."
As for Skadi, it did not escape her attention that Baldur's feathers had puffed up again. Once again, she tried, and failed, to stifle her giggles, and clearly, Baldur had seen the humour in the situation themselves. In turn, Skadi would once again try to nuzzle Baldur, "You look so adorable when you get puffy, Baldur!" She bleated happily.
But it was the gradual shift from explaining to Baldur what would having a partner be like for them to what happened in Golden Week and Cassie's actions that helped to quell the situation, that seemed to get them and Persephone talking briefly about her, before Baldur went on to complement the two. Kenny just rubbed the back of his neck, "I was a little nervous at first, to tell you the truth. I actually froze up for a few moments, not sure what to do, but it turned out that Nise Agumon Hakase was just scared and lonely, and Ophelia and Skadi here just up and cuddled him to death, before we sent him over to Ys with some of the other evacuees."
"I wonder what he's doing right now? Ramona did tell us before she went through the portal she would help him adjust to life here. I hope he's doing well for himself." Skadi pondered in turn; the three had actually grown to like him, and hopefully, God, Buddha, and Arceus willing, he would call back to them or Ophelia soon.
But then Baldur asked the two about what was the best part of being partners, and Kenny just smiled, having just finished his own tea himself, "I think the best part of being partners with Skadi is that..." He briefly paused and sighed a bit, while Skadi pat his back reassuringly, "Well, it's that, at least before you guys at KIZNA came along, that she was the first real friend I managed to make in years. I was quite a lonely kid growing up, often being bullied thanks to my disability, looked down upon by others, and being treated as an outcast because I was 'weird'. And I hated it. I just wanted a few good friends to call my own, but, you know, nobody likes a weirdo."
"Kenny, you're not a weirdo! You're one of the best tamers I know! Please don't beat yourself up like that!" Skadi pointed out to him. It didn't exactly work to cheer him up, but a small sad smile could be seen on his face.
A few tears started to stream from his eyes as he continued, "I had given up on a chance on making any friends myself until I met Skadi on that faithful day, as her In-Training form, Mallimon. And she saw me for I was on the inside. And if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be here today. I wouldn't have gotten to join KIZNA, and make a whole bunch of new friends. And I wouldn't have met you guys either. Guess Skadi here turned out to be a blessing in disguise for me. And I love her for that." He wiped the tears from his eyes, failing to notice that Skadi had finished her tea herself, put it to the side, and therefore, was not prepared for the random glomp that knocked him onto the bed. Again, as his partner nuzzled him like crazy.
"Aw, I love you too, Kenny!" She cried happily, before continuing to nuzzle him. Kenny could only chuckle in embarrassment, pretty sure that Persephone and Baldur were watching this unfold right in front of their eyes. All he prayed for right now was that nobody was taking pictures behind the two's backs.

Baldur chuckled; smiling once they got Kenny's and Skadi's details down, pocketing the D-Nexus shortly after "Sounds good indeed, friend!" The Hawkmon would respond; nodding in understanding and acknowledgement. "Though, ahhh... Part of my worry is mostly for the sake that I usually work best in a team fight, as opposed to one-on-one, honestly!" They'd admit with a chuckle - though this didn't seem to be out of any sort of self-consciousness or nervousness. More that it was just a matter of fact; given the moves they knew, particularly things like their Gale Shield or Tailwind, weren't exactly things they tended to use just on themself.
Baldur wouldn't stop Skadi from her attempts to nuzzle; in fact chuckling in response, as they reached up to pet the wool of Skadi's head with a wing. "Well aren't you being darling, hm? A sweetheart after all that honey?" They'd lightheartedly joke to Skadi - smiling warmly. There wasn't really anything romantic in the gesture, Baldur personally felt - unawares to Kenny's ship pondering. This was something similar to the way Persephone showed affection to others, after all; and their bond with the Dorumon was more familial than anything, really!
Baldur's and Kenny's reassurances both seemed to help Persephone settle back down, though; smiling with gratitude before she returned to the sewing. "I imagine something in there's getting a little loose, though I wouldn't know for sure; this is a bit of an old machine... I don't really have the spoons to be taking apart my sewing machine and putting it back together every time something in it gets funky, beyond basic troubleshooting, to be honest. Like I said though, it still works; it's just noisier than usual for the time being..."
Skadi's giggling would cause Baldur to laugh in turn, though; the feathers slowly starting to lay flat on their own, as the surprise of before passed. "One would think I'm more the handsome and dashing type, but I'll take adorable!" The Hawkmon would chuckle - letting Skadi nuzzle them as they pet her once more.
Though, soon would come Kenny and Skadi continuing their story about the Golden Week incident; recounting how they had pitched in, in helping befriend and calm down another digimon. The mention of the digimon in question, though, seemed to get Persephone's attention. "A Nise Agumon Hakase...?" The little Dorumon was quiet for a moment; seeming to be considering Kenny's words, until her ears would prick up as something seemed to click for her. "Ah... Maybe you should talk to Dad about that, sometime? I think that I recall him having been talking to one, the other day,"
Next was the talk of the partners - which the duo would both listen to quietly, and respectfully. Hearing that Kenny had a disability, in particular, would draw Persephone's attention; though she didn't say anything, instead appearing quite sympathetic to Kenny's troubles, from before he had met Skadi.
"We're all weirdos down here in our own ways, let's be real; and that's alright!" Baldur would attempt to joke alongside Skadi's encouragement; trying to cheer him up in their own way. Though, Kenny would still grow emotional, it seemed; despite their reassurances. Persephone would pause from working on the scarves - seeming to be just about finished with the embroidery - to get a tissue box for Kenny, offering him a gentle and sympathetic smile.
But, this was - of course - all before Skadi would, suddenly, knock Kenny over with a glomp! The duo would blink in surprise, until they would giggle and chuckle - Baldur taking the time to join in with a playful grin, wrapping their wings around Kenny and Skadi both. "There you go; no frowns in this establishment, no siree!" They'd squawk happily, adding "I'm glad to see that you two have such a bond, though; it's quite endearing, I must say!"

Success! Kenny and Baldur had managed to exchange details with each other, and a potential friendly sparring session with Skadi and the Hawkmon was now in the cards. But, at least according to Baldur, they were more used to team combat, rather than soloing their enemies. But it was a good detail to keep in mind; Skadi could easily teach them a good thing or two.
Speaking of, Kenny could only sit there and smile, watching his partner's adorable interactions with Baldur as the two exchanged affectionate gestures with one another. Skadi had completely lost herself in her nuzzles with the Hawkmon, and to be honest, she found nothing romantic in any of this either. Just platonic love. Still, this didn't stop Kenny from squeezing in a comment of his own, stating with a chuckle "You're not wrong there, Baldur. She may be quite a silly girl, but she's my silly girl."
Apparently, according to Persephone, the machine was pretty old, all things considered, hence all the noise, but as mentioned, they could all get used to it. Not that Skadi minded, what with the platonic affection she and Baldur were sharing with one another at this point, the two still exchanging nuzzles and hair ruffles, respectively, before finally stopping - but not before she would return the favour to Baldur and ruffle their own hair(?).
Much to the duo's pleasant surprise, Persephone had mentioned that Hikaru had been talking to a Nise Agumon Hakase. It would be no surprise to them if it was the Nise Agumon Hakase in question, as according to dad, he left through the Ys portal. While both Kenny and Skadi were happy to hear that they might just see their newfound friend once again, the Valaismon was practically grinning from ear to ear. "Wait? Does that mean we might just see him again? Oh, I'm so happy! I bet he'd be really happy to see us again." She happily cheered, only to stop as Kenny put an arm to her shoulder.
"Well, that is true, but please try to restrain yourself at least if we meet up with him again." Kenny told his partner, "I think that if he's still here, he might still be adjusting to life in Ys, all things considered. And I don't think he'd like to be overwhelmed in the span of a few seconds."
"Aw, but Kenny..." Skadi playfully moaned once again, a smile still on her face. She did miss the shy virus type Digimon, and, in all honesty, she was sure that the city of Ys and it's residents were taking care of him very well, and treating him like if he was their own. She was quietly counting down the moments on when they could meet again.
The partner talk had been quite hard on all parties, all things considered. And internally, while Kenny did feel grateful for the sympathy that Baldur and Peresphone were showing, it wasn't much help to stop the waterworks from coming from him; Skadi gave her partner a friendly nudge and nod, as if in agreement with Baldur, which was a little in vain, but eagle eyed observers could see a small smile cracking on his face. But it was Persephone offering him tissues that lifted his spirits, if only a little. "Thank you Persephone, I really appreciate it." He sniffled, taking around 2 tissues from the box and wiping his tears, followed by him giving Persephone a few soft strokes on the head for her troubles.
Thankfully, Skadi's glomp had helped to re-lighten the mood once again. However, unbeknown to either Kenny or Skadi, Baldur had jumped onto the 2 man dogpile as well, making Skadi let out a little surprised yelp, but Kenny gasp as what felt like another heavy weight dropped upon him for a moment there. But only a moment later, the two were laughing once again with Baldur, as Kenny reciprocated the hug to add Baldur themselves.
After a few moments, the laughter had died down, and for Kenny, this translated to a mixture of small giggles and the odd hiccup from time to time. Still, he could manage to get a few words out, at least. "Aw, thanks guys! But next time, at least warn me before you all dogpile me first so I at least have some time to react to it?" He playfully chided the two
"But it was funny! And I heard you laughing as well, Kenny." Skadi joked, as she climbed off Kenny, just leaving him and Baldur together, allowing him to lightly pry them off and put the Hawkmon back onto the bed, "Bessides, Baldur's right. No frowns here. All smiles." She then turned back to Baldur, "Why thank you, Baldur. To be honest with you, I think fate was smiling upon the both of us that day when we had that faithful meeting. I just wanted to find a friend and partner to call my own. And Kenny just so happened to be the one who just so happened to find me that day. And I honestly couldn't have asked for a better partner like him." With that, she gave him another light hug this time around. Not enough to knock him back, mind, but Kenny had barely had time to react, freezing in place for a moment.
Needless to say, the hapless boy had grown another blush onto his face, as he rubbed the back of his neck, not knowing what to say at this point. To him, all chances of leaving a good first impression with Persephone and Baldur by presenting themselves as smart, polite young adults and holding smart conversations had died on the vine a long time ago, all thanks to her antics. And internally? He wasn't exactly complaining. The 2 local Digimon had certainly enjoyed the dynamic duo's presence so far.

Much like how Skadi was content to simply exchange a bit of physical affection with Baldur, the Hawkmon would be equally content; chuckling gently as they stroked the top of Skadi's head. "And what better kind of partner in crime, than a partner in jests, no?" They would chirp to Kenny in response to his comment; smiling briefly.
As they felt a head atop their head, though, Baldur would blink and make an almost inquisitive-sounding chirp, before turning their attention back to Skadi, and chuckling. The feathers atop Baldur's head were short and downy, being soft to the touch. "I suppose it was only a matter of time, before someone'd decide to pet me!" They mused with a smile; letting Skadi ruffle their feathers before the two would stop in their exchange of affection. "Certainly feels nice, though..!"
Skadi and Kenny's shared happiness would bring smiles to the duo's faces, though; even if Kenny had to curb a bit of the excitable Valaismon's enthusiasm. "Indeed; I'm sure that he'll remember you both especially fondly, if you two are part of the reason that he decided to come here to, Ys!" Baldur would concur, gesturing with a wing. "Maybe you could get him a housewarming gift of some sort? Something to help him get nice and settled down into Ys proper!" Though, that did raise a question; what would an Agumon like, out here? Maybe something to help keep warm?
Persephone, too, would be unable to help a chuckle; smiling warmly to Skadi and Kenny. "Kenny does have a point, though, about taking it easy a little when you two meet him again. I imagine that it's already a pretty big change to adjust to, for a dragon digimon to start living out here." The little Dorumon would begin, before adding "Unless they already were living elsewhere in the Northern Prominence, that is; though this isn't exactly the type of environment that a dragon would be at home in, unless they're a furred dragon like me, or an ice dragon."
As far as trying to cheer Kenny up went, though; It was a bit disappointing to Baldur, that their own attempt only seemed to garner a slight improvement. Any improvement was great, sure, but Baldur wanted to be able to make Kenny happy! Persephone, though, was content enough with the little improvements; her smile growing warm as he'd thank her for the tissues. She would gently, quietly, tilt her head into his touch as he reached out to stroke her head - her tail slowly and contentedly swishing all the whilst.
The resulting glomp from Skadi and Baldur both, though, seemed to do wonders in cheering Kenny up; the three of them laughing together, and Persephone even being unable to help some laughter of her own as she watched the antics of the trio! As the laughter began to die down, though, and Kenny gently chided them, Baldur would playfully stick their tongue out at Kenny. "It can't be a pleasant surprise, if there's a warning!" They'd retort with a grin; allowing Kenny to pick them up, and put them back on the bed. Despite being the size of a rookie, Baldur was surprisingly light compared to Skadi; likely due to being feathery as opposed to wooly, as well as them possibly having hollow bones like a bird; though that verged more into speculative territory.
Regardless, Baldur and Persephone both listened along as Skadi concluded upon the duo's relationship; to which Persephone smiled warmly. "You both truly seem as though you were made for each other," She'd muse in conclusion; Baldur nodding in agreement. "And let this bond last long and strong beyond the annals of time, I'd say!" They'd squawk in a rather theatrical conclusion of their own; gesturing valiantly with a wing.
With that taken care of, though, Persephone would have a chance to go back to working on the scarves; finishing up the touches on the embroidery for the two scarves. She would lift them to Kenny and Skadi to show the duo - their names embroidered in the cream thread that they had picked out before - smiling softly and asking "How does this look, you two? I'll start on sewing everything together, and adding in the bit of stuffing we discussed before, if you two are happy with this."

Upon hearing Baldur's suggestion on getting the Nise Agumon Hakase a nice housewarming gift upon meeting up with them once again, compounded with Persephone adding her own thoughts about the idea of a reptilian Digimon living in a primarily cold environment like here, a bright idea came to Skadi's head, as she said, "Actually, that's not a bad idea, Baldur. Maybe we could get him a nice woolly coat for next time we see him again." She then turned to Kenny and added, "Does that sound good, Kenny?" That got her a smile and approving nod from him. Clearly, it didn't take a genius to know he was on board with that idea.
It was a good thing Kenny never really took himself too seriously that much. And inside, he was glad to hear that Peresphone was laughing along with the three of them. Although as Baldur playfully chided him as Kenny put them back onto the bed, surprisingly lightweight for a Rookie (he never really looked into much about real bird biology), Skadi gave her partner a friendly nudge not a moment after he put Baldur back down, "They're right, you know." She snickered to her partner.
This only got her a light friendly slug in return by Kenny, along with a chuckle, "Well, you did have the right idea of tacklehugging me onto something soft, and not onto flat out concrete at least. I mean, at least the bed did help break the fall for me at least." He quipped back to the both of them.
Regardless of Kenny's humbled (and continued) embarrassment courtesy of Skadi, it was clear that both Persephone and Baldur had practically embraced the love that both tamer and Digimon had for one another. The Hawkmon's comment/flourish got a bit of brief but genuine applause from Kenny and Skadi, the latter replying, "Oh, don't worry Baldur, I'll make sure it will." with a little wink.
All the while, Kenny gave a small smile to his partner, as he thought to himself; Skadi was certainly well dedicated to him, like a close friend, a young sister he grew to love. Having suffered years of isolation and loneliness from being considered a freak, it felt kind of...cathartic. Did Skadi see something special inside of him? Was it merely just a coincidence that both parties happily latched upon at the first chance they could? Or was this the work of God, Buddha and Arceus, who happened to set up an elaborate plan for these 2 individuals, and let the rest work itself out?
His mind snapped back to the here and now as he noticed that Peresphone was now holding up the pair's scarves up to show them her handiwork so far, and needless to say, Kenny was impressed, very impressed, and so was Skadi; that Dorumon really knew her craft, especially having watched her first hand, "Happy? Perry, we're amazed! That honestly looks amazing, if we're being honest with you!" Kenny told the grey Dorumon.
"Kenny's right, Perry!" Skadi added with a grin, "You're an amazing craftswoman! You should honestly be proud of yourself for that." Despite the oft-believed myth that Valaismon could not see properly underneath their giant mounds of wool over their eyes, Skadi could see that Persephone had put a lot of love into her own craft.

Baldur would chuckle along with Kenny, with his quip. "Well, I certainly wouldn't want to hurt my friends, would I? It'd be pretty counter-intuitive to cheer someone up by hurting them, after all..!" They'd point out, smiling humorously. Though, that did raise the question; has Kenny been tackle-hugged onto concrete before? Baldur couldn't help but feel sympathetic to that - cause that'd had to have hurt, if it ever happened!
For the time being though, Persephone couldn't help but chuckle and join in the applause; Baldur unable to help puffing up slightly as they were put in the spot in an unexpected - but positive - way! Skadi's response would make Baldur smile as well, though; nodding in acknowledgement. Let their friendship endure on, through the ages, they say! "You certainly tend to have a way with words, don't you Baldur?" Persephone would comment with a smile; to which Baldur chuckled in response, "Ah, I suppose all that reading about fantasy and adventure did me some good, somehow, somewhere, in the theatricals!" They'd joke in response; prompting the duo to chuckle to each other once more.
And then, the scarf... Persephone would blink, before visibly flustering under all the praise; giggling shyly as she hid her face behind her tail. "Ahhh... T-thank you both; I'm so glad that you both approve of my work so much," She'd respond; to which Baldur couldn't help a chuckle, "You put your heart and soul into your work, Perry; it's no wonder that people love even the simple things you make!" They'd chirp; only prompting Persephone to become even further flustered; only her ears - which were twitching like wild - being visible past her tail and the back of her chair, now.
It wouldn't be long before Persephone - still giggling shyly - would return to her work, though; working on putting everything together now. This wouldn't take as long as everything else; it's just a matter of making sure it all lines up properly, now!

Baldur had every right to lap up the applause they got from everybody else here; and who could blame them? They practically stole the show the second they walked in. But while Baldur could take in the praise they got well, Persephone, bless her kind heart, quickly got flustered from all the praise everybody was giving her, but it was clear she wasn't ungrateful for it. And as she giggled shyly, the duo also giggled as well, nodding in agreement with Baldur's words.
Briefly pausing from his giggles for a moment, Kenny addressed his new furry friend once again, "Aw, it's nothing, Perry. Baldur's right, you really do put in a lot of heart and soul into your work. Hopefully, you'll never lose the passion you have for it. But I seriously doubt you will." This probably was not going to help de-fluster the shy Dorumon, but hey, it was worth a shot.
With Perry gone back onto working on the their scarves, Kenny got himself up from up the bed and over to Persephone, Skadi jumping down and following him in turn. "Hey, we're sorry about flustering you earlier, Perry. we just didn't know you got flustered pretty easily. But seriously, we're extremely grateful for what you've done for us today. Thank you." He gave a kind smile to the shy wolfox.
But before he could turn back, he felt Skadi tug on the leg of his pants, and pointing to Baldur, "Kenny, don't tell me you're just going to forget about Baldur, didcha?" She teased him with a little nudge.
"Oh, yeah. You're right, Skadi. Thanks for reminding me." He said, before turning over to the poetic Hawkmon, "And thank you, Baldur, for entertaining us with your clever wit and wordplay today. Oh, and the tea, too. That was some of the best tea I've had in years, probably ever." All things considered, these 2 Digimon were great people to be around. Perhaps someday, if they ever got the chance (maybe when they got DATS to loosen up on their Digimon policy), they could probably give the two a little tour of Shibuya.

Persephone indeed wasn't de-flustered; her fur puffing up a little with her sheepishness under all the praise from them. But, she still seemed to take it all pretty well; smiling brightly - even if shyly - from behind her claws and tail, which she hid her face behind as she giggled more. It seemed that she wouldn't respond immediately to it though; her attempts to find her words ending in more shy, flustered babbling and more giggling.
Baldur seemed to be amused at this; the Hawkmon chuckling as they jokingly asked "We didn't break you, did we, Perry?" Persephone would shake her head - but still didn't verbally respond just yet; instead continuing to giggle even harder, more out of amusement at herself and Baldur's question than out of any embarrassment now.
Once she had some time to regain her composure though, and the duo came up to apologize to Persephone for flustering her, she would smile warmly to them both and chuckle. "Oh, it's quite alright, dears..." She'd murmur with a warm smile; peering over to the two. "I do really appreciate all the praise and attention, even if it's, ah... A bit much, sometimes." Persephone briefly paused to laugh with this, adding "Like I said though, it's quite alright; I don't mind the praise! It just catches me off-guard quite easily, I suppose...." With that, Persephone briefly scratched her cheek with a smile, as she returned to working on the scarves; though an ear would remain pricked in the others' directions as they spoke to Baldur, praising them now.
And the Hawkmon in question seemed to smile warmly at this attention and praise; chuckling happily. "Oh, I do thank you both kindly," They'd respond with that theatrical flair of theirs; bowing with a gesture of a wing, though they would gently correct the two "Credit for the tea should, technically, go to sweet Perry, though; at least in my opinion. She's the one who picks out - and in a few cases, even makes the blends for - the tea we keep stocked up there. And you both shouldn't forget about your own wit and pleasantness, either! You've both been quite the company, for the time we've spent together!"
Perhaps 2/3rds of the tea were bought by Persephone; though Baldur liked to think that she had quite the eye and nose for picking out the best of blends. The remaining third was a mix of blends made with low-maintenance or fast-growing plants, as well as her medicinal teas that she used to cope with the symptoms of her condition; particularly her muscle aches and migraines.
"We'll have to spend some more time together again, sometime." Persephone would agree with a warm smile and nod, though; slowly getting up from her seat, with the two scarves in tow, now that they had been put together proper. She'd approach Kenny and Skadi both, to hand them their respective scarves, before sitting back down at her seat; smiling warmly to them. "There you go, dears. I hope you enjoy those scarves!"

By now, it was practically nigh impossible for Kenny and Skadi to keep in their giggles. Maybe it was because Persephone looked just that darn adorable (well, more than normal, anyways), or maybe it was because all that giggling spread like the plague, who knew? Regardless, the fluffy wolfox's response was met with a light friendly chuckle by Kenny and a small but happy smile from Skadi.
"Aw, it's OK, Perry." Kenny chuckled a little, "I don't blame you. I'd get flustered too if someone praised me even quite a bit." There was quite a nugget of truth behind that joke, considering how much his own dad accidentally embarrassed him by praising him and Skadi for a lot of great things he had done, especially since the Golden Week incident (and needless to say, neither would be hearing the end of it for a good long time.)
As the duo returned to the bed to reunite with Baldur once more, the quite dashing Hawkmon was easily quick to point out that 1. Persephone deserved a lot more credit for the tea, and and 2. that they really enjoyed the duo's presence here today. Skadi didn't hesitate to nudge Kenny a little, "They're right, you know!" She told him with a knowing smile.
Another small blush appeared on Kenny's face in turn, as he rubbed his neck once again and grinned at Baldur, "Yeah, I guess you're right. To be honest, we did aim to put on the best impression as much as possible today. Needless to say, I think we pretty much knocked it out of the park... just not in the way I expected to go, thanks to a certain somebody." He cast a glance down to Skadi, who was now snickering cheekily to herself. While Kenny had opted for a polite, calm, and gentle approach trying to introduce themselves today, to make a long story short, the Valaismon took everything and threw it out the window without a second thought. Maybe it was for the better?
But hell, Persephone was right. They really did need to spend more time together again. That Dorumon was sweet as, and Baldur was an all around amazing, show stealing individual who took the cake, the store, and the entire freaking baking industry the moment they walked in. Happily, they accepted the scarves from Persephone in turn, Kenny returning back to his more gentle, friendly demeanour, and Skadi in a more chipper, happy-go-lucky manner.
"Thank you, Persephone."
"Thanks, Perry!"
Already, the silk scarves felt so good in their hands just to hold. And needless to say, they didn't hesitate to put the them upon themselves. There was something about these scarves that felt so good. Did Persephone have this sort of magic touch that made every single bit of her work that made them so special? Because this totally felt like that. Without a second thought, Skadi flumped back onto the bed, back first with a happy bleat, making Kenny chuckle once more watching his partner as he stroked her head.
"Heh. Guess you've been really enjoying yourself today, haven't you?" He said, before getting up on the bed to walk over to Persephone, leaning down to get onto her level, "Hey Persephone? ...thanks for making this day particularly very special for me and Skadi. I mean, I didn't think we'd end up joining the ranks in one of the biggest organisations in the Digital World, and yet, here we are. And considering how well you and Baldur treated us today, I'm glad we made the right choice in joining you guys. Thank you." And with a smile and his arms outstretched, it would be very easy for the grey Dorumon to get the message that he wanted to give her a hug.
...and in the (very likely) event that she did, Skadi would happily leap off from the bed and join in as well, throwing her arms around as many people who joined as possible, letting out her signature 'happy bleats' in the process, and nuzzling everyone quite a lot.
