Trouble in the Subway [Colin]

The early evening was setting in with a warm breeze and dwindling light. Ceiling lights were already flickering on, and surprisingly a lot of the station were empty. Perhaps it was a slow night for the most part. It was kind of eerie as Justice waited for the Trailmon to Shibuya Train Terminal, with Vee and Gummy as his side, passing the time with a game of UNO until the train arrives.
Today has been a pretty uneventful day, just the way Justice liked them. School assignments have been completed, no annoying mom blasting his phone every five minutes nagging about some inconsequential thing, and best of all: no Digimon were wreaking havoc anywhere. It had been a few days after the Golden Week incident, which involved a lot of Tamers facing off against a bunch of rogue Digimon that tried to wreck havoc in Shibuya. Justice was still feeling winded after that incident. So for the time being, he just wanted to chill.
"You know," Justice began, shifting his weight and turning to Vee, who sat across from him analyzing the cards in his hands. "I've always wondered about this, why do my clothes change every time we come to the Digital World? I have no idea why, but I've never bothered to ask this until now."
Vee glanced up, surveying him for a few moments before giving him a patient gaze. He smiled a little, unsurprised by the need for further clarification. He in fact, didn't understand it all entirely himself, and all he had to say was purely conjecture, though he was almost entirely certain he was correct in his assumptions.
"I think it's because since this is the Digi World, you are digital too, to an extent I think. The Digi World is programmed to respond to certain changes in climates, situations, and cognition. For you, it's defiantly the latter. It recognizes the way you want to be interpreted by those around you and therefore changed your clothes based on those perceptions," explained Vee slowly, thinking through his own ration thinking as he worded it.
Justice twisted a strain of hair around a finger, satisfied with the answer now that he thought about it a little more and it made more sense. About as much sense as anything made in the Digital World, if he was totally honest.
With that question out of the way, the three continued the game. Justice played a yellow 9, which made Vee respond by setting down a blue 9. Gummy started to sweat, he didn't have any blues in his deck, and since he had the most cards out of the two, he was certain he was not coming out on top.
He then drew a card, and as luck would have it, it was a reverse blue. A smirk appeared on his face, alerting Justice and Vee that something big was about to happen.
"Watch this!" Gummy said, "Reverse Blue, into Reverse Red, into Reverse Green. But that's not all... Plus 2, baby!"
"Wha-hold up!" Justice's tone was high-pitched when he said that.
"Just for that, make it a blue plus 4!" Gummy's grin turned into a wide smile, his pointy teeth visible. "And another plus 2 baby!" The Gumdramon's hand was now empty. "Looks like you'll be taking us to an All-you-can-eat restaurant tonight, Specs!"
For a second, it seems that Gummy won the game, until a chuckle came from Justice, who then played a red plus 2. "What the hell?! Another plus 2?! But I already beat you guys!"
"Not exactly." Justice responded, raising a finger. "You forgot one important thing: you forgot to say UNO!" He then showcased the cards that have been played so far. "On top of the eight cards you have to draw because of the plus 2's, you also need to draw two extra cards because you forgot to say UNO. Looks like you won't be making me broke tonight, you idiot poop face."
Gummy then got up in a fit of rage, stomping on the cards on the ground. "DAMNIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT!!"
Vee couldn't hold back his laughter, falling over on his side. "HAHAHAHA! HE GOT YOU GOOD!" Both of his legs kicked in the air.
The Gumdramon's face turned into a bright red; he didn't liked being laughed at. In retaliation, he grabbed the Veemon's scarf and yanked it back as hard as he could, comically strangling him. "COME ON BRO, LAUGH IT UP! I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER YOUR GAGGING!"
Justice started to snicker. But just then, the speakers throughout the station came to life, gaining the attention of the three and other people waiting for the Trailmon. The twins stopped their fighting as well.
"Attention all customers: due to a power outage at the adjacent station in the human world, all scheduled stops have been delayed for four hours until the issue is resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
Justice, Vee, and Gummy let out a groan in response, as well as the other people who in the track. If it was an hour, that would be reasonable, but four hours? That was too much, there must be a serious power outage going on back at home, could it be Digimon related? In any case, it’d better be resolved fast.
“Welp,” Justice said, getting up on his feet and stretching. “It can’t be helped. C’mon you two, let’s kill some time.”
Vee looked at him with a quirked eyebrow and a puzzled expression. “Where? In the city?” he asked.
Justice pointed to a seemingly abandoned m tunnel just a few tracks from where they’re at. Judging from where they were at, it looked like it hadn’t been used for quite some time; a couple of months perhaps. To Justice, this was the perfect opportunity to find a perfect spot to tag some walls. “Whaddya say we find a spot so I can teach you guys how to do spray some walls? Gotta spice something up before we leave anyway.”
One of Vee’s ears quirked up at the notion. “But won’t we get in trouble sneaking into places we’re not suppose to,” he questioned. “I mean if somebody catches us—”
“I’m in.” Gummy interject, standing up to his feet as well.
Justice picked up the cards on the ground and put them in his book bag. “Gucci. Let’s get to it.”
The two of them then started to walk around across the station to the abandoned tracks, with Vee however still standing in place. He was a bit reluctant, but seeing that both of them were going without him, only then did he started to rush to them so he wouldn’t fall behind.
Little did the trio know, something menacing was going to interrupt their tranquil evening, but what?

The tunnel may be abandoned, but it was not unoccupied. It had been marked as the meeting place between two parties - one was Colin James, a deputy of the human world-based AEGIS group; along with his twin partners Luke the Elecmon and Bellamy the Impmon. The other party was a shady looking Chuumon, dressed in a hat and a neat jacket, shirt and tie - an informant named Hickory.
At this moment, Hickory was updating Colin and his partners about developments within the digital world that might concern security in Tokyo in these troubled times. Since the Golden Week incident, there had been an absolute frenzy with many consequences still yet to be decided. But fortunately, his elder sister Sophie was back and in command, now advising a cautious approach to keep AEGIS out of the sights of an aggravated DATS. That left Colin free to gather information from friends within the digital world.
"I've identified 3 cells of digimon that could be trouble." Hickory stated. "Two, I haven't been able to make contact with, but the third seems like it's pretty intent to pull something like Golden Week again, they really hate humans."
"How big is the cell?" Bellamy asked, the Impmon dressed in a maroon T-shirt as well as his usual red scarf and gloves, as was his usual fashion when in a city. Eschewing pants, it made it obvious that Bellamy differed from other Impmon in that he was covered in fur.
"No more than 5 digimon." Hickory explained. "Rookies and Champions so not really a big effort to take out, especially for Super Mega's like you."
"Got the location written down?" Luke asked, the Elecmon dressed in his usual outfit of a blue scarf and nothing else. He too was notably different from other Elecmon in that he walked resolutely on two feet.
"It's all in here." Hickory gave them a USB flash drive, which held all the info they needed, including the location and what digimon were there. "The password's 'Heliodramon.'"
"Do you know if they have anything planned?" Colin asked, the teenager dressed in a dark blue T-shirt, red scarf, black cargo pants and dark sneakers.
"Not yet, but I'll keep you informed." Hickory assured them. It was then that they heard sounds from the entrance of the tunnel, making all four of them turn with concern.
"I can't be seen with you guys!" Hickory whispered urgently. "I'll see you later, I'll contact you on your Tamernet if anything changes."
"Right." Colin said, as Hickory scarpered into the darkness, soon disappearing from sight. With that done, Colin and his partners wondered who was there, and if they would pose any danger. For the moment, the three of them hid behind a pile of rubble, waiting to see who it was.

Justice shined his phone's flashlight as the three of them ventured into the abandoned tunnel. It wasn't too hard bypassing any security that were blocking the tracks. Since there was not a lot of travelers tonight, terminal security was more relaxed, allowing the three to sneak easily. The only thing they had to avoid was the cameras, which Justice carefully pointed out to them.
Following the tracks on a walkway, dimmed ceiling lights began to flicker on that cast a dull orange color as they walked, allowing them to have a closer look at the crumbling walls, typical since place had been vacant for so long. The windows above them that once gave a clear look at Terminus's skyline was now worn and battered by the elements and the lack of maintenance. Most of the stairs leading into the platform above were destroyed and rubble.
"So how'd you know about this place?" Gummy asked Justice. "We've only been to this station for as many times as I can count, but neither of us have never been down here before, but here you are knowing this place in the back of your head."
"Ehh," Justice shrugged. "Back where I'm from, you just kind of get feeling where to navigate in subway tunnels, y'know."
"So you've been around a lot of train stations back in America?" Vee asked. He kept looking back a few times just to be sure if nobody was following them like security.
"Oh yeah, all the time," Justice replied. "In fact, I'm used to city life in general since I from one - the constant honking of cars zipping through traffic with no patience, the towering skyscrapers that have stayed standing for decades, and crowds of people just going throughout their business like it's no big deal. I love all that, mainly because every day is different and that's all part of the excitement. That's why I chose Shibuya to study abroad. Had I not done that, I wouldn't have met you two knuckleheads."
Vee grinned, rubbing the back of his head, "Ah shucks, you didn't have to say it so sweet."
Gummy' titled his head, not knowing how to react to such affection. "Ahh. No need to get all mushy."
Eventually, Justice found a section of a wall that looked to be intact, free of any cracks or any water dripping from the ceiling. "This is so fresh." he mumbled to himself. He then dropped his book bag to the ground, taking out a couple of spray cans, some masks, and a Bluetooth speaker. He hooked up his phone to it and some hip-hop music started to play. He was in the groove now.
"Alright you two, watch and let me show you how it's done." Justice said gleefully, picking up two spray cans and shaking them. He then put one of the mask over his nose and mouth, and started to get to work, spraying a long, red horizontal line, and then shapes what looked to be letters as a start.

Colin and his partners listened to the conversation being held by the strangers here. It wasn't long before they realized that it was simply a human and two digimon partners. Colin wanted to go out of hiding right there to make sure they were seen as friendly, but Bellamy gripped his wrist gently.
"Not yet, gotta see what they're up to here." the Impmon advised. Given that Bellamy knew more about Terminus than he did, Colin accepted this and continued to observe.
They overheard "America", and recognized the words being spoken as American English, indicating to them that this tamer was probably an emigrant like Colin and his family. Eventually, it seemed their overall goal here was... just to tag the wall with graffiti.
"Well... that probably seems like all they're up to here." Luke remarked in a whisper. "Things look okay to you, Bells?"
"Hm. Makes sense. Let's try and keep it friendly okay?" Bellamy whispered back, under the impression that these guys might get a bit startled if they were suddenly interrupted. But keeping it cool, they should be able to keep it amicable.
With that, Colin would lead his partners from behind the rubble, trying to keep to the shadows, not making an overt sound until they were within speaking distance. Thankfully this was made easy by the music they were playing in the meantime. When Colin was about 20 feet away, he spoke up.
"Heya. That's some neat art there." he said, hoping to sound friendly. Hopefully when it was just him and his twin rookie-level partners, they'd seem inconspicuous enough. Of course, they were ready for the inevitable questions that would occur afterward.

Justice used the other spray can in his hand and started to tag over with what he had so far with a purple color. It only took a while before the words "expectations" was readable through the wet paint. He waited a second for the purple to dry off. Once that was done, he grabbed a white-colored paint can to go over the letters so that they can pop out more.
Vee and Gummy sat themselves on some nearby rubble, watching their Tamer as he danced and sing to the rhythm of the music. This was one of those rare instances where they get to see Justice in a different light. Instead of being the lazy, sleepy head that he was, now he was full of energy. Despite human world music still being a bit alien to them, that didn't stop them from at least trying to jam out. Gummy started to imitate the beat of the song with his tail, while Vee bopped his head to it.
As Justice continued to be in his own little world, Vee's ears twitched as he heard movement behind them. He turned around, nothing was there. Vee blinked several times, and turned back feeling like they were being watched. Unlike his brother who was keen with his sense of smell, the Veemon was keen with his sense of hearing. He began to feel uneasy, and wanted to know what was causing him to feel this way. "Maybe it's just some falling rocks," he mumbled to himself.
A voice then spoke up from behind, causing Justice, Vee, and Gummy to jump in surprise. The three turned around saw it was just a human along with two digimon; two digimon that were new to Justice. Judging by their appearance, they don't look like Terminus security or anything; just another Tamer and his two digimon partners. Not wanting things to look awkward. Justice turned his music off and spoke up.
"Oh um, thanks," he replied, giving a wry smile. "For a second I thought we were the only ones who know this place."
Gummy frowned; he wasn't opted with being friendly towards them unlike his Tamer. "Alright talk. Who the hell are you three coming up in here like it's no big deal?"
"Can it, Gummy," Vee said sharply.
Justice scratched his head. "Sorry, he's not very keen with strangers at first." He patted the Gumdramon's head, calming him down a bit. He then leaned against the other side of the wall, not wanting to mess up what he's done so far. "But he has a point: seeing that you guys aren't local law enforcements or anything, you mind telling what a couple of people such as yourselves are doing down here?"

Colin understood how awkward the situation probably was here. One person in an abandoned tunnel for possibly clandestine purposes was enough, but two? Well, he hoped that this group wouldn't be too judgemental. And since the chosen human of their group was currently decorating walls with graffiti, he hopefully wouldn't be too nosey.
Alas, the Gumdramon rather forcefully demanded to know what they were doing here. Bellamy was about to retort with a snark, but Colin gripped his shoulder in an indication that he got this.
"Long story short, we were expecting to meet someone back here, but they didn't show up, so, naturally when we heard you guys out here, we thought we'd see if you're linked to them. So far, seems like you're not."
Luke and Bellamy hoped that Colin knew what he was talking about here. In being open about the need to be shifty and stealthy, hopefully they could pretty quickly figure out if their interests lined up.
Colin then quickly thought about his closest friends, then settled on one that if these individuals knew, he'd trust them quickly. "Say, do you know a Gaomon by any chance? Named Owen?" he asked. Owen was a friend of theirs, pretty well established in the digital world as a force for good. Colin would hopefully follow on with a cover story of him meaning to meet Owen for an exchange of intel.
Luke meanwhile exchanged looks with Colin, a little concerned about this path. The Elecmon didn't like to lie, but so far Colin wasn't bending the truth to a degree he was uncomfortable with yet.

If there one thing Justice didn't like, it was people showing up unannounced to places where he though he was alone. It was one of his personal pet peeves, but obviously these three had a reason to be down here. Nobody would come down here anyway if it wasn't the city's maintenance or something. So he kept his irk aside, since they seemed to be alright guys for the most part.
The spiky haired guy, who looked a little younger than him, explained the reason why they were down here was to meet up with someone, but haven't arrived yet. Kind of explains the reason why they came out of nowhere. They could have made an audible presence like footsteps instead of sneaking up on them. But then again, it was Justice's own fault that he had the music so high, so really he was partially responsible for getting himself and his Digimon a bit spooked.
The dude then asked if they know a Gaomon named Owen by any chance, which made Vee and Gummy widen their eyes in surprise.
"Owen?" Vee queried. "You mean the Digimon that looks like a blue and white dog, wears boxing gloves and a bandana, and talks a bit funny? Heck yeah do we know him! He saved our butts once from this huge storm we were in."
Gummy nodded his head. "Well even though we've met him, I never interacted with him. But I did became best friends with his son Bezil a whole lot. He's the same species as me, a few inches taller than me, and also talks a bit weird." He turns to Justice. "Hey Specs, do you know why they talk funny?"
"They don't talk funny," Justice stated. "They just talk with an accent--an Australian accent, in fact. Though it is kind of weird how they picked up such a distinct mode of pronunciation from a country on Earth, assuming they've never been to Australia, that is."
"What's Australia?" the two asked, tilting their head.
Justice only sighed in response, darting his eyes away from him, before turning them to the mysterious dude. "Ok, so you came down here just to meet Owen? Didn't know the doggo was so conspicuous to meet you guys in a place like this instead of the streets above."

By a turn of luck, it did turn out that these three knew Owen. And in a good way as well. Apparently Owen had saved them from a massive storm, and furthermore Gummy was friends with his son Bezil. That put a smile on their faces.
"Ah nice to hear, Bezil's sure grown up." Bellamy said. As was his own son and daughter, Finn and Gaz. He hoped to visit them sometime later in the day, they usually hung around in Terminus City, or if not, Whitewater.
Colin had to chuckle when neither Vee or Gummy knew what Australia was. Luke meanwhile voiced his theory. "We think that where Owen came from, most digimon spoke like that." he said.
Then Justice asked why Owen would be meeting them in such a shady place like this. For a moment, Bellamy pictured that dorky dog dressed in a trenchcoat and hat, trying to be all clandestine and acting like a spy... then tripping over the rubble, then snickered himself. Colin quickly had to correct that.
"Ah, right, not Owen himself." Colin clarified here. "One of his friends. We were meant to meet up somewhere in private, since we have to be discreet in our line of work, can't really meet up in the middle of town and talk about some of the things that are happening in the digital world these days. Owen might be based in Rosewood and Ys, but he's got some old friends that look around the place for us."
So far, Colin wasn't lying about this. Just he didn't want to blow Hickory's cover here. Hopefully Justice and his partners took the hint that he couldn't really tell them outright who he meant and what they were talking about.
"Welp, any friend of Owen's is a friend of ours." Bellamy said, shrugging, supposing that was enough to trust these guys and treat them in a friendly way. He assumed a confident sort of pose, his tail flicking. "The name's Bellamy, this is my brother Luke, and my partner Colin. We're from an organization called AEGIS, have ya heard of us?"

Hearing furred-Impmon speak, Vee and Gummy were not only surprised at the fact that these three knew Bezil, but surprised upon hearing the way he spoke; he talked in a higher pitched and nasally kind of way. When the Elecmon speculated that Owen's way of talking came from Australia, the two concluded that the Impmon;s accent most likely came from Earth, but where exactly?
Then the mysterious dude explained they were not meeting with Owen, rather an associate of his. Gummy lowered his head in disappointment. He was looking forward to seeing Bezil again since he's always with his father.
Justice meanwhile understood the reason for the three meeting the Gaomon's friend in a place like this. "Ahh, I get it," he said. "Don't want any unwanted eyes monitoring you. Kind of smart to be as inconspicuous as possible in whatever you're doing."
The Impmon then introduced himself as Bellamy, who then introduced the Elecmon as his brother, Owen, and their partner as Colin. Justice scratched head. Introductions weren't his thing since they were a bit of a drag, but since they did, it would be rude not to respond.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," he replied simply. "I'm Justice."
"Vee's the name!" Vee added, hoping happily on his Tamer's shoulder. "The grumpy Gumdramon is my lil brother, Gummy."
The Gumdramon only raised a peace sign at the three in response, not wanting to be as overly excited as his brother.
Bellamy then said that the three of them were from an organization called AEGIS and asked if they ever heard of them. Justice raised an eyebrow. "Never heard of 'em," he said, shrugging his shoulders. "It is something that I should know or something? 'Cuz if its recruitment you're looking for, then I'm not interested."

Colin and his partners were glad that Justice understood what was going on here, and that they couldn't really tell them the whole story until a level of trust could be established. That trust was at least started by the others introducing themselves in return, with Justice and his partners telling them their names. The fact that Justice was tagging with graffiti was forgotten by now.
It turned out that they didn't know what AEGIS was. Well, that was fine, Luke was happy to explain. "Basically, we're meant to be the organization that replaced the old DATS - act as the response unit for digimon that show up accidentally in Tokyo. We don't really mess with tamers unless their digimon cause incidents, in fact we do our best to find new tamers and encourage them to keep their heads down before the new DATS get to them... it's a little complex."
"Tamers gotta tame, guess it can be put down to that." Bellamy added, shrugging. He was also made interested by the fact that Vee and Gummy were brothers, just like how he and Luke were. This made him smile a little. "Heh, that's cool. Haven't met much twins like we are." he said.
Colin was about to try and look for another angle of conversation when he felt his D-Terminal vibrate. "Excuse me, got a message..." he said, taking the D-Terminal from his pocket and reading it. In it, he saw an urgent message from Hickory.
"Returned to suspect group. They've brought plans forward. They plan on attacking Trailmon Terminal TODAY! Intend to target and hurt humans, shut down Trailmon line between Terminus and Earth! You must intervene!"
"Oh boy..." Colin said as he read this, then looked over at Justice. Could he trust him on this? Well... obviously, he was a human too, with twin partners of his own, of course he had a stake in this. "So, uh, emergency situation, guys. There's a bunch of digimon that really don't like humans... they look like they're going to make a move today and attack the Trailmon Terminal." he noted that Vee and Gummy conducted themselves fairly confidently. Maybe they would be of help here?
Bellamy voiced his curiosity first. "How far up can you evolve?" the Impmon asked, curiously. "I mean, you guys use the Trailmon terminal too, right? Wanna help us bust some bad guys?"

Justice folded his arms as the red Digimon explained. He was not at all surprised upon hearing that this AEGIS was another organization based on Digimon, like DATS. He and his partners have only encounter them twice: one agent named Maria at the mall where a Dracomon-X was wrecking havoc, and another one at the Golden Week incident. He didn't quite know all the details with them, but due to their interactions with them, they seem to be on their side, and AEGIS was no exception.
"So basically you guys are like Digimon law enforcements," Justice said bluntly. "You don't need to go into any details if it's complicated. As long as we don't cross any of you and DATS, it's all good...unless they get in the way of me buying some new sneakers, then all of us are gonna have a problem." He joked.
Colin then stepped away for a minute to get on some sort of palmtop computer he had. Justice raised an eyebrow. Seeing something like that made him convinced that Colin was old school. Palmtops were something from the early 2000's that got replaced when smartphones came out. They were severely limited compared to a normal computer, so he didn't know why Colin would have something like that still.
When he came back to explain the situation, Justice's eyes widen in response. He paused, could these digimon be responsible for the power outage back at the adjacent station in the Human World? A strong possibility, since that and what was going on now was no coincidence.
Bellamy then asked Vee and Gummy how far up can they digivolve, which Vee was happy to answer. "Oh we're super strong! So far we can go up to--MMPF" Gummy suddenly coveredhis brother's mouth his his paw.
"What he meant to say was we're not gonna tell you how far we can evolve right away," Gummy chimed in. "You'll just have to see for yourself if you're so curious."
Justice shrugged at his two Digimon, and looked over to Colin. "Well since you say it like that, I guess we'll lend a hand. We were originally planning to go home earlier, but the announcement said that there would be a three hour delay due to a power outage in our world. I'm guessing that and those digimon are connected."

Justice concluded that they were something like digimon law enforcements. "Well, something like that. We can't really afford to be too heavy-handed, just... yeah, we go around and try to keep order best we can." Colin explained. "But we won't go as far as pull badges on people and arrest them, unless they're using digimon for crimes..." he then realized that Justice was here with his digimon doing crimes via graffiti. "...on Earth." he finished, hoping there wouldn't be any more problems arisen there.
When Colin read his D-Terminal, he wasn't really aware of how outdated it was, so he didn't make effort to hide it. It was what he was given when he got his digivice, so it was what he kept after all.
Then Bellamy asked his question, which Vee seemed about to answer, but to their surprise, his brother prevented him from revealing, saying that they'll have to see for themselves.
"Okay... uncomfortable levels of distrust here." Luke remarked, the Elecmon responding carefully, but supposed that he could understand why others wouldn't want to reveal everything about themselves after one question.
Colin meanwhile listened to Justice, who concluded that the delay and this turn of events was connected. "Alright. I suspect that too. At the very least, we should probably investigate. If this information is right and these bad digimon intend on attacking the station... it'll be harder for us to return."
With that, Colin and his partners sprinted out of the abandoned subway and headed toward the Trailmon terminal, preparing for the hostile situation.

Colin explained that the AEGIS was something akin of a digimon police force like DATS, busting on people who planned to use digimon to commit crimes. Justice only nodded in response. It seems like ever since he became a Tamer a month and a half ago, he had to become wary of many causations that come from the Digital World, from the regular monster of the week digimon wreaking havoc back on Earth, to now, FBI-like organizations centered around Digimon-related activity.
At least one thing came good from his responsibility: it beats sitting on his ass all day in class.
After Gummy prevented his brother from telling them how far they could evolve, the Elecmon named Luke expressed a bit of distrust in response, in which the Gumdramon looked away in response. Vee, not understanding why, kept his silence.
Colin suggested that they should investigate the train terminal to see if whether those threats are true. With all of that said, the three then sprinted out of the abandoned subway, with Justice, Vee, and Gummy following suit.
“Running…” Justice remarked, sighing, “I hate running, especially when I’m tired.”
Vee then voiced his thoughts. “That’s because you’re so used to exercising your brain, you forgot how to exercise your body.” The Veemon said. “Am I gonna have to force you to do regular workout routines now?”
Gummy joined in. “Na, Specs just might faint after doing at least one of the training exercises we do,” he chuckled. “I bet he can’t even do five pushups with his scrawny ass.”
“Ha, Ha. Let’s hurry up so we can see what’s going on up there.”
The twins nodded and came up to the terminal, a few seconds behind Colin and co. One thing’s for sure, whoever’s trying to cause trouble better be something like an actual menace, and not the run-of-the-mill meat head like they’re used to.

Colin was just glad to have another human with digimon partners on his side in all this. After all, this was Terminus City. A human by themselves here could get in a lot of trouble if acting alone. But two humans? Acting on reliable evidence that justified their actions? Yeah, that felt a lot better.
Soon after, they made their way to the Trailmon Terminal. Going from Hickory's information, there would be an attack here shortly. But... just where would it come from? Colin rubbed his chin with concern. Just what could they do here? Eventually, his partner Luke nudged his elbow to draw his attention.
"We should probably split up here. Time's limited, we gotta find out where the strike will hit first before we can act." the Elecmon advised. Colin saw the logic in this, then turned to Justice and his partners.
"Okay. Nothing seems out of the ordinary on the passenger level, so we should probably split up and find out what's going on with the other levels." he said. But he needed to distribute authority here. He and his partners were in AEGIS here. While Justice and his partners were not.
"I think we should mix up our teams here." Colin eventually said. "Bellamy, are you okay with going with these guys? Even if it's just to flash your AEGIS badge?"
"Sure, don't got a reason to distrust 'em." Bellamy said. With that, Colin was more clear in his intentions. In splitting up, he'd send Bellamy to help with Justice's team, in exchange for one of Justice's digimon to accompany him and Luke. Just so that they'd be able to have a similar clearance here. With that, Colin turned to Justice.
"If it's alright with you, I propose myself, Luke and one of your partners heading upstairs to the Signals level to make sure everything's okay up there." the teen said. "In exchange, you, one of your partners, and Bellamy head down to the luggage level to check out everything down there. If you get stopped, Bells has AEGIS clearance badges to get you through. That sound okay with you?"

From their conversation, Justice could tell that Colin was a pretty decent guy. Sure he was a bit stiff and by-the-book for someone who seems to be still in high school, but that probably came with working with this AEGIS organization - to be professional at all times. But at least he and his Digmon had distinct personalities and weren't robots. That's for sure.
After going up what seemed to be a mountain of stairs, the four made it to the main terminal station. For the most part, everything was the same before Justice, Vee and Gummy left to the abandoned tunnels; everyone was still going about their evening as usual, and no suspicious looking Digimon for the most part. Justice placed both hands at his waist, a bit puzzled.
"Nothing's happening for the most part." Gummy said. "You think they sensed how badass we are and decided to high-tail it outta here?"
Vee shook his head. "Not likely. I sense a bad presence here, but I don't know where it's coming from."
Colin then grabbed their attention and proposed a plan: they split up to two teams to search through two levels. One team composing of the teen, Luke, and one of his Digimon will go upstairs to see if everyone's alright. While the other team, composing of him, Bellamy, and either Vee or Gummy will head down to the lower level to check the luggage area. The plan was a good idea since they would cover more ground. And with that, Justice shook his head in agreement.
"Alright, that's fair enough." Justice responded. "Vee will go with you two while Gummy will go with me and your Digimon. The two are hella keen when it comes to sensory stuff. Vee can sense negative emotions while Gummy has a keen sense of smell, so finding those sneaky bitches should be a breeze."
The twins puffed up their chest in in response, letting the praise get into their heads head.
"Oh, what's your digivice's frequency code?"Justice asked. "Just so we can stay in touch in case we find the people we're looking for. I may not be a Digi-cop or something, nor do I ever plan on being one, but we should at least establish a connection before we head out."
