"Ah, that's the best thing about all this... no call-ups!"
Quite! 'Participants' were put behind a pane of glass - close enough to use Digivices but otherwise safe from the shenanigans of the fight - while those inside would find themselves in a rather direct battlefield. They stood on a stable circular platform, about a hundred feet in length. Those that tested the surface would find it to be a thick black rubber material - one that made it difficult to slide but definitely made it easy to trip and faceplant if one made a sudden stop. But why such an interesting material?
Well, for one, at the edges of the platform was an ominous black pit - and a further ten feet out, and in a dome above that measured seventy feet at its tallest point - was a tight grid of red and blue sparking wires. "But honestly, the fight here is simple! Normal rules apply - fight until your opponent concedes or is deemed unfit to continue. But if you fall down the hole? Then you're automatically out! Oh, and don't think you can be too clever with wings!"
The Scout sent a bullet out towards the grid - at which point it charred right up into black dust! "Heh! Hitting or getting pushed into this edge will put a strong current through your body. I don't care what your supposed electrical resistance is - get hit with this bad boy and you're going straight down. Now if there are no questions... well, get to it.
Fight!"

Hasenya begins?
Admittedly, and it was more than likely plainly obvious, Hasenya was terrified. Unless one wanted to count that drugs owl (which you really couldn't), this was going to be her first real fight with a real live person. Even though it was a familiar face- and on top of that, basically an adoptive sibling, she couldn't help but shake. She was deathly afraid, but also extremely excited. Beyond all the nervousness and anxiety, exchanging blows was pretty much the best way she knew of to really get to know someone. She may not win and she may not even put up that good of a fight despite her most best efforts, but she could definitely try to stay friendly. This wasn't an to the death type of ordeal, so most of her fears were unfounded.
It was a friendly competition. Nothing more, nothing less. She didn't hold any grudges with anyone and she wasn't about to coward out of things now and make people disappointed in her. What she lacked in skill and experience, she wanted to make up for with enthusiasm and the right amount of effort. The smaller-than-average Doumon adjusted themselves and stepped more onto the battlefield, steeling their resolve.
"Let's um.. Have fun, yeah?"
She didn't have anywhere near as good as this as Ophelia, even if she really was excited. Darn it gremlin fox, get yourself together. Hasenya refined her control over her breathing as Embersong began to take effect, causing a small amount of embers to dance around her. They would need to move and think fast if they wanted to make Kenny and Skadi work for this victory.

OOC: To a good battle! There was not a single doubt for a second Skadi was excited for this tournament as much as the others were. She had faced plenty of challenges before, but this tournament was something else. Of course, she entered this for shits and giggles, and a bit of a decent payout as well. But if anything, she sought to impress Valt, her mentor. She learnt quite a lot from him, and was the direct cause of her and Kenny joining KIZNA, so there was no way in hell she was going to let anyone down. Kenny was also feeling his nerves get to him, however, and even when he was protected by a glass dome, he could feel his legs slowly starting to convert to jelly. He held a lot of faith in his partner, and he knew she wouldn't let him down, no matter what.
Of course, that wasn't to say Skadi wasn't nervous either, oh no. In fact, this was a huge chance for her to show what she was truly made of. While she knew that it was a friendly competition, nothing more, nothing less, that was no excuse for her to hold back. The currently-a-Markhormon would bring everything she had to the table. As she walked onto the battlefield herself, her trusty sword in hand, the Doumon present seemed a little nervous as she addressed her opponent. Skadi would just nod simply, and reply, "To a good battle, Hasenya."
As small wisps started to form around the Doumon's body, Skadi steeled herself, readying her first move to warm herself up. Her feet firmly planted to the ground, Skadi let out a loud, ear shattering bleat at her opponent, sending powerful shockwaves at the Doumon quickly. Whenever it hit or not, Skadi would feel a little more invigorated and a lot more powerful, helping her to gain at least a decent jump onto the opponent.
Skadi starts the battle by using Call of the Mountains to strike Hasenya. No matter whenever the attack hits or not, in the former's next post, she will get a 20% attack boost.
Call of the Mountains: Skadi lets out a powerful, loud bleat at the opponent, dealing damage and potential disorientation. A much more powerful version of Wild Bleat, again, it can disorient flying Digimon and send them onto the ground, but it also has an added bonus of invigorating Skadi and increasing Skadi’s attack by 20% for the next 2 posts. (2 post cooldown)
Current Buff/Nerf Counter: Call of the Mountains (+20% Atk.): 0/2
Revelant Passives: Mountaineer (Passive): Markhormon possesses a tough and well-rugged body that has survived even the harshest of winters. This in turn reduces damage from all Ice attacks by 50% and physical attacks by 30%. However, she takes 50% more damage from fire attacks.
Toxic Immunity (Passive): Markhormon’s immune system naturally prevents Skadi from suffering poison/corrosion from any attacks/passives, or suffering any ill effects from them (damage, paralysis etc). Likewise, her foamy saliva, if swallowed, or in some cases, rubbed into an affected area of a poison victim, will automatically heal the Digimon of any poison/corrosion effects they may suffer… if they’re willing to use it at all, obviously. If used on an ally, then they have up to 2 poison/corrosion effects lifted from them, and Skadi goes through a 3 turn cooldown period, where she will be no longer immune to effects from poison/corrosion until it finishes. If Skadi digivolves to this form while poisoned/corroding, then she will automatically be cured in the same post.
Cooldowns: Call of the Mountains: Waiting for buff to end.

Of all the first attacks she could have anticipated, 'mega bleat' hadn't made it to her list, and she never would have expected it to physically hurt but that would teach her to underestimate an opponent. The fox stumbled and nearly fell, though was agile enough to catch herself with her tail and push back up to her feet. "Hah! That was.. awesome." The Doumon huffed, her excitement starting to overwrite her nervousness as she felt the familiar rush of combat. This was good, she needed experience against a larger opponent. Skadi hadn't even physically gone up to and taken a swing at her yet- this was gonna be really intense for the pink fox.
But it was Hasenya's turn to make her own move in retaliation, and she was here to give Skadi a good fight so she couldn't just stand around and stare like a goofball. Giving the Markhormon a little grin Hasenya disappeared, going up in a puff of smoke and becoming invisible thanks to Flashfire Phantom. Admittedly it wasn't a move she got to apply in a fight before, and any time she had to use it before was to escape a sticky situation or to get somewhere faster than she could otherwise. She needed a little more time to figure out how she was gonna fight back effectively against an opponent like Skadi and this was the best way to get that.
Invisible didn't mean intangible or completely undetectable, though.
Hasenya takes the hit from Call of the Mountains. And then uses Flashfire Phantom to become invisible afterwards.
[ABILITY] Flashfire Phantom: Like its previous iterations, Hasenya is able to turn invisible by essentially masking her data. Disappearing into thin air. [So long as no actions are taken (this does not include movement), Hasenya will remain invisible for up to 2 turns, with a 3 turn cooldown regardless of when the status has worn off.]

That powerful bleat had left Skadi invigorated as all hell, and she could feel the sudden burst of energy circulate throughout her body, and, best of all, Hasenya had taken the hit. Of course, being way too early in the battle, that wasn't going to up and knock her out just yet, but as the Doumon recovered and complimented her friendly adversary, Skadi could only grin, "Thank you." Hopefully, if Ryouta and Valt were watching this (and God, Buddha and Arceus willing, they were), they would be cheering her on, big time.
Skadi's eyes had laid dead-set on her friendly adversary, only for Hasenya to vanish into thin air with little warning. "Clever girl." Skadi could only smile, as she ran farther from the edge and to the middle of the arena. The second she reached there, she called out, "But how about I shake things up a bit?" before stomping the ground several times, causing a powerful earthquake to rumble all around the arena. Skadi, being a Markhormon, and therefore, used to this, would be completely unaffected by the tremors. She probably couldn't say the same about Hasenya though.
Whatever the case, the earthquake would rock the entire arena, but since Skadi could not find where Hasenya was, cracks would form on the floor, before 5 large spires would pop out from the floor (don't ask), all aiming to hit one possible target: Hasenya. And, friendly reminder, those cracks would be the only warning she would get. Just because Skadi couldn't spot Hasenya didn't mean she could try to sniff her out with this technique at least. Hopefully, one of the spires would strike her, and send the Doumon flying.
Skadi, in a bid to draw out Hasenya from her Flashfire Phantom, uses Spiral Earthquake to cause a powerful earthquake and summon 5 20m spires, all in the hopes of hitting her. Due to the effects of Call of the Mountains, Skadi now has a 20% attack boost for both this and the next post.
Spiral Earthquake: A even much more stronger version of Spiral Tremor, Skadi stomps the ground several times to cause a powerful tremor to summon up to 5 spires to attack the enemies (if there is one enemy, then this becomes one huge spire instead), reaching up to 20 meters per spire, or 50 meters for the super spire. While this attack lacks the defence piercing capabilities of Spiral Tremor, it makes up for it with sheer power alone, and a 150 meter radius that causes an earthquake, disorienting all grounded Digimon (allies and enemies) and leaving enemies open to attack. (4 post cooldown)
Current Buff/Nerf Counter: Call of the Mountains (+20% Atk.): 1/2
Relevant Passives: Mountaineer (Passive): Markhormon possesses a tough and well-rugged body that has survived even the harshest of winters.
Hasenya was almost envious of Skadi's raw power, being able to cause damage to the arena like that with only physical strength. She knew she wasn't built for such feats though, so she wasn't gonna dwell on it for too long. The Doumon would have to act fast to keep themselves from being thrown out of the arena, but fortunately for them they had just the thing to prevent damage from being done to her. Channeling her magic and thus forcing herself out of her invisibility, Hasenya crouched down real low, curled up into a ball, and created a sort of dome of metal around her, wrapped up in golden chains that were held down by various weapons spearing them into the arena immediately around her. She could protect herself from Skadi's tremors and spires this way- the floor of the temporary dome would hold against those spires just fine, so long as Hasenya maintained her concentration. It was a very weird setup, but that was more reason she called it a "Miracle Barrier."
When the quaking finally stopped, her creations crumbled and withered away, going up in smoke and embers. "You're really strong, Skadi.. I feel kinda bad for not attacking you yet. I hope you're not getting bored." She smiled while she said it, though she was still not entirely joking. It was about time she went on the offensive- She could only stall for so long before she got thrown out of the ring or knocked out. Hasenya had just the thing to spice up the fight a little bit more and she was very interested to see how Skadi would handle it. The pink fox put a hand out towards the Markhormon, causing a couple of generic swords to materialize and fly at her.
Hasenya was forced out of Flashfire Phantom by Skadi's Spiral Earthquake, though she still blocked the attack with Miracle Barrier. They then retaliated with a basic attack!
[ABILITY] Miracle Barrier: In an instant Hasenya creates a barrier for herself or an ally, made up a bunch of weapons. [2 turn cooldown, blocks 1 attack.]

As the earthquake rumbled and the spires shot out from the arena (again, don't ask), Skadi took the time to scan her locale for where Hasenya may have had run off to. What she saw instead was a small metal dome covering up the pink Doumon. One of the spires struck the dome, but thanks to Hasenya's trusty shield, the spire itself broke. At least Skadi managed to force the Doumon out of hiding, smirking lightly as it and the rest of the spires retreated back into the ground like if nothing happened. At least she got something out of that.
The Doumon, after escaping her tiny metal dome, would once again acknowledge her opponent, making her grin once again, "Bored? No way, I'm just getting started." She readied her own trusty sword as the Doumon sent 2 of her own flying at her. On cue, Skadi lifted her sword, parrying one of the Doumon's away, and trying to dodge the other one. Due to her slower speed however, the other sword did strike her, slicing her across her torso, but she only smiled. Her body could weather basic physical weaponry like that.
But don't think Skadi was just going to take that sitting down. Rather, as she readied herself, a freezing cold aura wrapped around the sword. Not willing to sacrifice her good position either, she would only run a few meters away from the middle, still just enough to possibly strike Hasenya with this next attack, but also just enough so that she couldn't possibly capitalize on the Markhormon being too close to the edge. If hit, the Doumon would be slowed down slightly, leaving her much more open to attack.
With a loud battlecry, the Markhormon then swung a powerful gust of cold wind, accompanied by a equally, if not more powerful, wind blade as well. She put all she could into this attack before her burst of invigoration would wear off. No matter. She was making waves in the battle already, and no way was she gonna let up now.
Skadi is hit by one of the basic sword attacks, courtesy of Hasenya. Due to being physical weapons, the damage is reduced thanks to her Mountaineer passive. In response, she uses Blizzard Calling to both damage and nerf Hasenya with a speed drop.
Blizzard Calling: Skadi’s sword is surrounded by a faint icy aura, before she swings it at a wide angle, summoning a powerful blast of icy wind for up to 50 meters, that not only cuts into and blasts back up to three opponents at once, but also reduces their speed by 20% for the next 2 posts. Flying Digimon also take 20% more damage when hit, and can be forced onto the ground. While the wind blade is powerful enough on it’s own, due to the fact she’s swinging a heavy object, the sword still hurt if you make contact with it directly, great for driving back opponents that are too close to her. (2 post cooldown)
Current Buff/Nerf Counter: Call of the Mountains (+20% Atk.): 2/2
Relevant Passives:
Mountaineer (Passive): Markhormon possesses a tough and well-rugged body that has survived even the harshest of winters. This in turn reduces damage from all Ice attacks by 50% and physical attacks by 30%. However, she takes 50% more damage from fire attacks.

Seeing Skadi's sword sheathed in cold inspired something within the young fox. Her eyes lighting up with excitement. As if it were instinct, the Doumon put her hands to one side, taking in a breath as faint electrical energy surged through her down to her arms and then to her fingertips where it would leave her body and gather between her open palms. The Doumon took one hand and stuck it into the created orb as if reaching through a portal and with a forceful pull she wrenched out an almost exact copy of Skadi's own sword, a faint icy aura surrounding it as well. The only thing it seemed to lack was the Digimoji inscription, as there was no way for Hasenya to know of that without a closer inspection. Due to it's size and assumed weight, Hasenya had to hold it tight with both hands and even then it still felt awkward getting used to.
When she felt the sudden cold hit her she shuddered, letting out a pained yipe when the second part of Skadi's attack hit her, slicing through her robes giving the Doumon quite the concerning cut across her side. The sheer force of the attack sent Hasenya staggering back towards the edge of the arena while she struggled to maintain a grip with both hands on the clone weapon she had just created. Once she finally managed to regain her footing on this hellishly awkward arena floor, she stepped forward away from the edge walking back over closer to Skadi while dragging the tip of her replicated sword behind her. "You just keep proving how awesome you are.. I'm really happy you're considered part of the family, Skadi." Hasenya stated with no lacking of sincerity in her tone at all, even if her stomach and side really did hurt from that cut. It was just the first of many injuries she would have to deal with.
"I wish I could be awesome like you. Ophi, Hilda, Holly.. all of 'em. You guys are all so cool." Hasenya added on, bringing her weapon around and hefting it from the ground to hold it as properly as she could, given her size. A faithful recreation such as this wasn't done with just copying the weapon, she had to be truly faithful to it's original. The emotions felt, the strength put into it, material size and weight. It was all important. She couldn't just do Skadi an injustice with this cheap recreation, no. She had to show her sister what she could really do before she could allow herself to truly go down and out.
"You might win the fight, but I'll show you that I can be awesome too! I'll make everyone proud of me!" Hasenya roared, letting out her best battlecry yet while she brought her weapon up and over her head. The cold aura around the blade reaching its peak intensity as she swung it down and at Skadi. Perfectly mimicking the blast of cold air and sharp blade of wind that had been fired at her only moments before. Hasenya tried her absolute best to make it perfect. And when the sword hit the arena floor, it became all the more obvious how much of a clone the weapon was as it shattered into a whole lot of itty bitty pieces that would then go up in smoke and embers just like her little dome had before.
Hasenya is hit with the entire force of Skadi's Blizzard Calling, nearly causing her to slip out of the arena!
Passive Embersong Stacks: 3 (10% Speed, currently -20% for 0/2)
Hasenya uses Faithful Recreation to copy Skadi's Blizzard Calling, firing her attack back at her.
[ABILITY] Faithful Recreation: Hasenya recreates any weapon-based skill she bears witness to, right down to the weapon itself. Though it still only fake, and the weapon used will shatter upon use, materializing back into data. [This has a minimum 3 turn cooldown, if the skill copied has a cooldown higher than 3, the cooldown of this ability is extended to that same duration + 1 turn.]

It had not escaped Skadi's attention that Hasenya was readying something as she prepared her trusty sword, and as she watched as the Doumon pulled out a sword, nigh identical to her own, SkullGreymon bones and all. Well, almost all, the Digimoji was missing, yes, but it was her own sword, nearly perfectly recreated. But she had to save the compliments for later; as she swung her sword, she swung it with passion, and her efforts were reflected back in the form of her opponent dangling near the edge.
So it was both a mixture of a pleasant and unpleasant surprise Hasenya managed to pull herself back up, and was now dragging the fake sword towards her. Unpleasant because... well, you know. But pleasant because that Doumon, like her, didn't know when to quit. And she liked that. But while Skadi stepped back a bit near the middle, readying her own sword once again like a makeshift shield to try and parry Hasenya's replica, what really caught her off guard was the compliments that she gave her. Her blushing was very noticeable to the average bystander, and she started to stutter weakly, "I- uh- you- they... thank you, Hasenya." She chuckled slightly, "I gotta admit, you ain't half-bad yourself. Maybe I should ask Valt to train you sometime in the near future?"
With a loud battlecry, Hasenya swung the fake sword down on Skadi, whom the latter responded by lifting up her real sword to block it. But to her surprise, a similar gust of cold winds, not too dissimilar to her own previous attack, struck her hard. She grunted as the cold winds blew onto her, damaging her a bit, but thanks to her thick coat, only managed to do a lesser amount than what the move normally entailed. She skidded back a bit, directly near the middle, letting the fake sword hit the ground and burst into flame. Now was her chance.
Responding with her own battlecry, Skadi swung her own sword at Hasneya's sides, aiming to hit her on the left and right, before following up with lifting the sword over her head. But she had a little surprise in store for the final strike. As she swung the sword over Hasneya's head, without warning, the sword would become just a little larger, by being covered in solid ice, in a bid to catch Hasenya off guard, "Just a little something Ophelia taught me." She grinned.
Skadi uses her own sword to block the physical part of Hasenya's Faithful Recreation of her own attack, Blizzard Calling. Yes, she still takes damage from the winds, but the Mountaineer passive has helped to reduce the total damage down by a whopping 80%, however, she is still affected by the original attack's nerf. She immediately retaliates by swinging her sword with 2 basic left and right strikes aimed at the torso, before following up with a surprise Frozen Cleaver to the head.
Frozen Cleaver: Skadi’s sword is encased in ice, in which she uses it to slice into the opponent with relative ease. This attack does ice damage, and physical damage to the enemy, however, it does not inflict direct contact. (1 post cooldown)
Current Buff/Nerf Counter: Blizzard Calling (-20% Spd.): 0/2
Relevant Passives: Mountaineer (Passive): Markhormon possesses a tough and well-rugged body that has survived even the harshest of winters.

Hasenya took those hits like a champ, her pre-existing injuries considered. When Skadi had finished her assault the small fox fell to the floor, barely catching herself on her hands and knees. She couldn't last much longer at this rate but she still felt she hadn't done enough. Skadi being family was all the more reason she couldn't just hand the win over to her- How would that make them both look? Her head hurt, her sides hurt. Everything just hurt, but inside she still felt really good. Her inner fire hadn't yet gone out and Skadi didn't even seem like she had broken a sweat yet. "I'm not done yet. Almost- but not quite!" The Doumon stated simply, though even words were becoming a struggle at this point. The fox struggled to pick herself up from the ground, but managed it through sheer stubbornness and willpower. "I still have tricks up my sleeve. You'll be the first person to see my newest ability. I don't spend all my time reading and exploring around, you know." Hasenya chuckled lightly.
Skadi could very well stop her before she could get her ability off, and honestly she would be completely fine with that. But if she wanted to have any chance at some kind of attempt, now would be the time to try it. In all honesty leaving herself open to an attack she was basically asking for an easy ring-out or one final smack over the head. But maybe Skadi might just humor her and save it for after- Only Skadi knows what Skadi is going to do. Focusing her magic, a circle of illusory flames surrounded Hasenya's feet steadily growing in size the more time went by. Hasenya would begin to recite an incantation:
"Through fire I have caused destruction without any limit, chaos and despair without any bounds. Through warmth I have restored life and created hope, peace, and love."
An electrical sort of magical energy crackled around the Doumon as the circle of fire around her grew more intense, as if some invisible force were continuously stoking the heatless flames. Hasenya meanwhile remained composed, a hundred and ten percent focused on performing one of her most powerful abilities. One that had never before been used on another living person. For all but Hasenya, these were uncharted waters.
"For these reasons I will unleash the pinnacle of my abilities. Through creation, those close to me will know of how much I love; of the genuine warmth radiated by my flame. Through destruction my enemies will know true fear; of my true self, the shadow cast by my inner fire."
With a strong imagination and the greatest of intentions, it was plain to see that her words came from the hart and that they were getting hurt results. The words of her incantation resonated with power, literally echoing around her. Again, nothing could stop Skadi from ending this fight right now. Hasenya left herself completely open in order to attempt this final spell. Even if things were to wrap up now, Hasenya could be satisfied with the loss. She knew she was giving it her all- and she hoped that Skadi knew it too. One good solid hit and it'd be over then and there. If not stopped now, she would finish her incantation and only the Doumon knew what would happen after that.
------
Given a thorough beating and having her speed nerfed hard, Hasenya is unable to dodge Skadi's assault of attacks. One more like that and she's done for.
Channeling Forbidden Inner World until next turn. Ft. Extra edgy incantation.
[ABILITY] Forbidden Inner World: Once in a thread after a full turn of channeling Hasenya creates a bubble that covers a wide area. Anyone caught in this bubble when it goes up are transported to the Doumon's own personal pocket dimension. Those caught outside are able to enter as they please, though anyone inside is stuck for the abilities 3 turn duration (or however much duration remains). Meanwhile, Hasenya's weapon-based attacks and abilities are 25% more effective. [Once per thread, 1 turn channel, 3 turn duration.]

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Aug 16, 2019 11:03:40 GMT
Butterflies started to gather inside Skadi's stomach as she swung her sword at Hasenya, and with it, came a mixture of feelings developing, both good and bad. She practically had a ticket to the next round in the bag, but at the cost on throwing around the cute gremlin Doumon like a ragdoll in the wash. A heavy pang of guilt hit her at this point, so as Hasenya announced to the Markhormon about one of her 'newest abilities', Skadi just lowered her sword, but instead of sheathing it, instead, she put it to her side and nodded once, "Go on." She said, without a single hint of sarcasm in her voice.
She watched in awe as the Doumon chanted her incarnation, watching as the surprisingly cool flames dance around the both of them. And she smiled. Frankly, if this was a talent competition, Hasenya would've taken the cake, the store, and the entire freaking baking industry from that one skill alone. It felt quite hypnotic, to say the least, and even Kenny, who watched from the sides, could feel the hypnotic behaviour of the flames and the Doumon's chant.
As soon as Hasenya was finished and the spell cast, Skadi felt a little euphoric inside. She couldn't help but be impressed by what she did, as she grinned to the Doumon, "Hasenya, gotta admit, that was really spectacular, what you did just there. You've been a really amazing opponent, and I'm proud to call you my sister myself." She told her, brandishing her sword once again. She leaned down on one leg, before, with one last, and passionate, battlecry, she would swing her ice covered sword once again, aiming to try and knock out the Doumon in one mighty slash.
In a act of kindness, Skadi holds her fire to let Hasenya finish her Forbidden Hidden World spell. After this, she uses her Charge Striker attack to try and finish the match
Charge Striker: Skadi gets into position to ready herself, by keeping guard. During the buildup, Skadi gains a 15% resistance to all elemental attacks except fire, and is impossible to make her flinch or otherwise affect her with mental effects that will throw her off guard (if an attack were to otherwise knock her out, she will not faint until this attack is finished). Charging up to three turns, the glow of her sword and the icy aura indicates how long she has charged for, before she suddenly strikes out at the opponent with a powerful swing of her sword, encased in ice. This attack is immune to attack drops. (3 post cooldown)
- No charge: Normal damage.
- 1 charge: +50% damage.
- 2 charge: +100% damage.
- 3 charge: +200% damage + pierce through defences/buffs/shields.
Current Buff/Nerf Counter: Blizzard Calling (-20% Spd.): 1/2
Relevant Passives: Mountaineer (Passive): Markhormon possesses a tough and well-rugged body that has survived even the harshest of winters.

Hasenya felt certain there weren't many other people who would have been so kind as to humor her and let her show off a bit. Uninterrupted, she finished off her incantation by voicing her intentions. Calling out one's attack obviously wasn't wise, but words and names held great power- even in the real world. Though they weren't nearly as fantastic as mystical as in the digital one. "To the end of a glorious and fun battle: Forbidden Inner World!"
In a bright flash the arena appeared to be gone. Though in reality, Hasenya had simply created a small bubble within which was her own personal pocket dimension. She could go on about how long it took her to perfect the ability without alerting anybody to what she was trying to do, but the fight was still going on. They could talk about all that later!
The world she had created was shaped by her incantation. Minor alterations had been made to the standard chant in order to not assault Skadi with a place of heat and metal. So instead, she had gone for something much more comfortable while still being nicely open for the sake of combat. An open plain that was warm and sunny that seemed to go on for an endless distance though such wouldn't be the case if one were to reach the invisible barrier.
Coming out of her self-induced trance Hasenya smiled hearing Skadi praise what she had done. It wasn't easy, and gambling the way she did was a dangerous and foolish move to make. Hard to bash on it if it worked though. When Skadi took a powerful swing at the Doumon, the benefit of being inside this bubble showed itself when Hasenya created a large sword of her own in a near instant to swing back with, clashing it against Skadi's own. The pink fox struggled with both hands firmly on the handle to not let the blade cut into her.
Hasenya's physical strength wasn't a match for Skadi's own obviously, so her blade would begin to crack and bend before shattering into pieces like the ones before it while the Doumon was sent tumbling to the side. After being knocked around the arena some, she had to admit that rolling through the grass was far more pleasant even if it were a little more dirty. On top of that, neither of them would have to struggle getting their footing on that rubber crap for awhile. The main dangerous thing about Skadi still being able to throw her around was the lack of knowing where the barrier was. Skadi might be trapped here with her, but if Hasenya were hit hard enough through it then Skadi could possibly end the duration of the pocket dimension early and ring the pink fox out.
The muscles in her arms screamed at her for that sloppy block, but she ignored it for the moment. Hasenya after a bit of a struggle with getting her body to cooperate recovered from her tumble, standing back up to charge back at Skadi with two more new swords already created and in hand to take a couple of swings at her sister with. Things didn't have to end too quickly did they? This dimension could hold for a good while, assuming she wouldn't be knocked out too quickly. Her movements were much more noticeably sluggish after Skadi's swing, even moreso than before with what those chilling winds had done to her previously. Still, she would force her body to move and fight until it simply couldn't anymore. To give Skadi any less effort would be an insult!
-----
Hasenya successfully casted Forbidden Inner World. Weapon-based abilities are 25% more effective for 3 turns.
Hasenya was sent rolling away by Skadi's Charge Striker, though she barely prevented another nasty cut to add to her growing collection by sloppily blocking with a greatsword. She's going to be feeling the foolishness of that one in the morning.

The end of this exhilarating battle, if the end of Hasenya's chant was anything to go by, was starting to rear it's ugly head, and with that, the arena disappeared, replaced by a grassy green plain in it's place stretching for miles. While the warm sun gently bore upon the Markhormon's body, nothing outside of God, Buddha and Arceus stepping in midway and striking her down in one blow without warning could temper her fighting spirit. Sadly for Kenny, all he could see was just an orb covering the arena. And as far as he could tell, he was hella confused on why she just let her opponent build the pocket dimension willy nilly.
To Skadi's surprise, however, the Doumon had managed to craft another great sword of her own, managing to temporarily parry her own swing, before successfully pushing through, both breaking the fake sword and sending Hasenya flying. Again, it was hard to not feel bad at her. Bless the tiny Doumon's heart, she tried her hardest. Still, she wasn't going to try and run off the edge and throw the battle, especially at this late in the game. Watching the Doumon struggling to get back up, she still stood in place, not willing to sacrifice her current position, and brandished her sword once again. "You just don't know when to quit, do you? I like that." She smiled, without a hint of sarcasm. That little gremlin had an impossibly large amount of moxie in her soul/Digicore.
Just in time too, as Hasenya ran up to her, 2 new swords adorned in her palms. She held her own trusty greatsword in her face, like a shield, but as Hasenya's swords clanged against hers, she could defiantly feel something... off about them. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but it was most likely the extra 'oomph' those 2 new swords possessed. But that didn't mean she had a few more surprises up her sleeves. Taking in an extra deep breath, she parried one of the swords away, but felt another slash across her torso. Even in a bit more pain than before, she let out another powerful bleat up close to her face, and almost immediately, the shockwaves would come flying once again in full force. She was working with the element of surprise with this tactic.
Skadi, parrying one of Hasenya's swords away, but also getting hit by another, tries to catch her friendly foe off guard with another Call of the Mountains to the face. Whenever this attack hits or not, Skadi will still see the 20% attack boost in the next post.

When Hasenya clashed weapons with her sister, she tried to push against her. Gritting her teeth while she tried to put her whole weight into it. Of course, something so small wouldn't move a Markhormon so easily. "Hah.. Give up now? I wouldn't disappoint one of my sisters like that." She finally responded, right before Skadi let out another one of those powerful bleats right in her face causing the pink fox to be thrown back. The Doumon stumbled and nearly fell, her swords falling out of her hands and breaking apart into splinters before going up in embers. Hasenya extended her arms out towards Skadi and shot chains at her that would circle around the large Digimon and try to wrap tightly around her, acting as support for Hasenya to keep her from slipping or flying any further.
The chains seemed to lengthen more as a bit of time went by, covering as much area as they could even if it wouldn't be much against a big target. Hasenya put the ends of both chains into one hand and pulled it tight, creating another sword in her free hand. As her speed returned to her, little wisps of flame would float up off of her and there would be a noticeable glow underneath her fur. Especially on the hand that held onto the chains. "That was close.. Scared the heck out of me there for a second." She of course couldn't squeeze Skadi tight enough to keep her binded for more than a brief moment, as that would break the chains, but that didn't mean the amount of pressure she put on couldn't cause discomfort.
----
Hasenya took that Call of the Mountains right to her gremlin face. She could add a nasty headache to the list of other discomforts she was feeling right now, for sure. She retaliates with Flashfire Imprisonment, wrapping her chains around Skadi and using them to slow the Markhormon down while keeping herself from flying too far away.
[ATTACK] Flashfire Imprisonment: Chains shoot from the Doumon's sleeves, wrapping themselves completely around a target. Hasenya can either hold on to the original chain or bind it to the ground with a conjured weapon, though since the chains and weapon are both very much fake, they can be easily broken. At most, they'll slow someone down for awhile. [2 turn cooldown, 1 turn duration.]

The gambit worked. Hasenya was sent flying with her mighty battlecry, dropping and disintegrating her weapons in the process, but as she was stumbling around, all of a sudden, out of the Doumon's sleeves, chains came flying out at her, and the Markhormon could only watch as the chains surrounded her, before wrapping around her chest. Suddenly, she felt the Doumon trying to pull her over, but no way that she was going to let her come over that easily, especially with another burst of invigoration and strength from her battlecry. In response, sheathing her trusty sword, she would try and grab at the chains, and give them one mighty tug, while stepping back a few centimetres herself, in a crazy gamble to try and break them with sheer power alone.
Of course, that wasn't the only surprise that Skadi had in store for Hasenya. As she tugged on the chains, she smirked at the Doumon, as she gave the ground another single, mighty stomp, and once again, a powerful earthquake would rumble all around the grassy field. And this time, since the Doumon's visibility was clear as day, instead, one mighty super spire would emerge from the grounds. The Doumon's only warning, the cracks that were starting to form beneath her feet as the spire threatened to emerge, were instead obscured by the grass. And of course, her previous attack was ready to give this attack the extra 'oomph' needed to make it hurt. Badly. Could the Doumon even take anymore?
Skadi is captured by Hasenya's Flashfire Imprisonment, and in response, she tries to grab onto the chains herself, and give one mighty tug in a bid to break the chains in the most unbalanced game of Tug-O-War ever. But while she's doing that, she lets off another Spiral Earthquake, this time with a singular super spire ready to emerge and send the Doumon flying ASAP.
