"So? Are you interested? I think it's a pretty good lead, you know?"
Although the profound darkness that blocked their vision started to dissipate, the degree of illumination their eyes would reach by being fully open was not, by any means, prominent. Accompanied by blurriness and the appalling feeling of being absolutely disoriented, Mary, Anne, and Teach, were finally waking up. For how long had they been sleeping? As of now, it was truly impossible to know. Their surroundings? A humid, dark, prison cell. If their first thought was to ask themselves how did they get there, some bad news were to be issued: They couldn't remember. As if their memory had been wiped, the crew would have no clue of how did they end up in this situation. As they incorporated, some other features of the chamber they shared would become evident: two bunk beds, one on each side, and a wall of bars right in front of them. At the southern wall, a very small window (if it could be called as anything else than a minimal gap), blocked with bars, too. It was too tall for any walking rookie to reach, so maybe someone with wings should look through there. If the crew tried to scrabble inside their memory for any hint, the last thing they remembered was finding out about the whole Astrivia matter, through some word of mouth in an old bar. Then, they headed for... ugh! Their head hurt! Where were they before this? What was the name of... that island? For now, it seemed futile to try to reminiscence. It did not matter how hard they tried, their memories just were not coming up. Maybe they had to trigger them, somehow? If Teach scrabbled through his own belongings, he would find something. A rectangular piece of cardboard of a black tonality; right at its center, a green hat was drawn. Where did the pirate get this? He did not have anything like that some days ago. Could he have gotten it during those events his memory was missing? Probably. Once the crew went back to scanning their surroundings, besides actually noticing how dirty this cell was, they would find... a figure. Someone was sitting on the ground, resting against the eastern wall of the room. The lack of lighting in the environment did not let them quite decrying what it was, although it seemed to have... fingers. Those fingers seemed to be frolicking with a shiny coin. This being was just there, not paying any attention to them, just looking at its coin.
OOC: Kayo! Welcome to the Set Sail for Astrivia plot, Seekers of Glory.
This is not, by any means, a static plot. Everything is going to be constantly changing according to the decisions you make! Although for plot convenience and in order to give you a little push I have established a first objective for your crew (Escaping from Grimway, in this case) all of your actions and decisions will determine how the plot moves on and whether that objective changes or not. Alliances, friendships, and gruesome battles: in Set Sail for Astrivia your objectives and the roads you take to achieve those objectives will change according to how YOU want it and the decisions YOU make.
So, enjoy the ride! ~
With love, Erika.
The inventory shows what interesting or important items any member of the crew has at any time. Right next to the name of the item, you will find what type of item it is and who in the crew has it. If it hasn't been decided yet who took the item after being handed to the crew, the words 'waiting...' will appear. If an item is showed in the inventory, it means you can take your time to look at it closely or try to use it in any kind of situation. The fact that an item is in your inventory probably means you're going to need it, so don't forget to check the crew's inventory every time you have to make a decision or don't know what to do. You might have the item you need right there!
Inventory:
Mysterious card [Crucial item] [Teach]

There is nothing worst than wake up with a Hangover, although the captain wasn't sure this headache was work of a night of hardcore drinking party, he doubted seeing that Anne was having the same issue and that bird is 100% against alcohol, if only he could recall anything of the pass 24 hours that would be really helpful
"Astrivia..." That was the only word that was sort of ingrained in his memory, something about a lost island... Maybe if his head didn't feel like being smashed under the Hammer of Vulcanusmon he would be able to remember
Looking around the captain found himself trapped in a cell together with his crew, this is the first time of the captain in a cell (that if you don't count the crib in the village of beginnings) but everything was much as he imagined, two beds on each side, the bars in front and a small window on the back.
"Interesting..." The captain mutter, of course now it was time to escape but how?
He noted that for some reason whoever put them on this jail had not take away his belt, a rookie mistake, surely the captain will have an artifact save just for this very mo─ Nothing.... Nothing but a black card with a green hat drawn on the center, of course he has no idea what is this
"So... What are the orders cap?" Said Marie yawning and stretching, still feeling a little dizzy
"First we need to know where are we and if our escape will get a lot of attention" Teach said looking at his crew "Anne inspect the window, Marie peek through the bars and tell me if you see a guard or something"
"Aye, aye Captain!" The Piyomon made quick salute and start fluttering towards the southern wall's window
"Alrighty... One more question tho... What do we do with him?" The Gizamon pointed at the man sitting on the ground next to the eastern wall, was he always there?
"I'll handle it" Said the captain walking towards the mysterious "partner" "Having fun watching? Time to speak up, where are we and how do we get out?" As long as this man cooperates the captain will be pleased, if not he might end up to use brute force to get his answers

Once Annie fluttered her wings and gained enough height to look through that excuse of a window, she would finally be able to spot the whole landscape outside the small room they were locked into. They seemed to be high above. Very high above ground. Quickly, she would discern they were at a tower. Scattered through the landscape, many more towers could be spotted. They all seemed to look the same: made of stone, gigantic, and with very few gaps that worked as windows. Down below, she could see digimon walking back and forward through a yard. Sadly, she couldn’t quite decry their species. Was this some type of castle? Searchlights located on top of each towers moved through the yard and all of the surroundings, combing the zone. One thing could be concluded, then: Security was tough around here. Something could be added to their initial deduction, too: this was not just any prison. As soon as Teach spoke up, that coin spinning around the cellmate’s fingers stopped. Suddenly, the pirate would feel an evident change in the atmosphere, two green eyes were glaring at him from darkness. The weight of these irises on top of him wouldn’t last long. With a scoff, this being would just look away, and keep meddling with its coin. Before the pirate would get aggressive, a voice would get to him, coming from his back. “Oh. You finally woke up.” A sweet, boy-like voice echoed inside the cell. If they traced the source, they would quickly notice it was coming from the top bed in the bunk bed at the western wall of the room. “I was kind of waiting for it but… since you were taking so long, I decided to take a nap.” As he spoke, he took a leap forward, using its paws to cling from the edge of the bed, giving them a show of elasticity. This movement would help the very scarce moonlight to reveal it was actually a Gomamon. The digimon took a second to shift his view to Anne and Marie, before looking at the captain again. “She called you captain, right? So you’re the leader of this crew.” With another quick movement, he jumped to land in front of the Impmon, his eyes fixed on him. After seemingly studying him for a while, he spoke again. “… I had never seen an Impmon who looked like... this. Interesting. I wonder if you’re strong.” With no hesitation, the Gomamon extended his paw, waiting for the pirate to reciprocate the gesture of his introductions. “My name is Oil. I’m the sailing master and first mate of the Soca Pirates.” He nodded, showing Red Scarf an honest smile. Then, he glared at his crewmates, greeting them too. Oil tilted his head to a side, looking at the silent figure from before. It was still playing with the same coin. “Oh. He’s Zaruno, I think. He… doesn’t speak much.”

Whoever this man was it has already gotten in the captain's bad side, the nerve to just stare and don't give an answer, just a scuff and then went back to play with the coin this guy seriously didn't know how to read a room! While Red Scarf and his crew may look like a bunch of dorks and not very threatening, you know what they say about judging a book by its cover.
Luckily for the mute cellmate the Captain's attention was caught by something, actually someone else a Gomamon to be precise, the little digimon drop down from one of the beds, after taking a minute or so to check the Captain he asked if he was the leader of the crew.
"That's what the title of captain means" He answer, the Gomamon also said how he never saw an Impmon like him and wonder if he was strong, whether the seal was thinking out loud or actually asking it to the captian it didn't matter he was going to answer "I'm no normal Impmon I can tell you that much, not sure if strong is the word I use but I can inflict pain in a lot of different ways, from burns to poison and even showing my victim their worst nightmare"
While the captain talked the Piyomon took a good look to the outside, being honest it was a little terrifying for her seeing all the other towers with lights on top and digimon patrolling, definitely a high security prison and something the captain will be eager to know, she wait some seconds before interrupting
"Captain, sir we seem to be trapped in some kind of high security prison, we are currently really high above the ground so most likely a tower, on the outside there were even more towers, some had searchlights on the roof pointing at the yard bellow, I also saw some digimon patrolling but couldn't make up what species they were"
"Well, guess we can't just break the bars of this cell and walk by" Mary sighed "And that also rules out breaking the wall because only Anne is capable of flying..."
This is certainly a predicament, in any case the escape plan could wait a little until they gather more information, maybe the Gomamon knows something and this could be the beginning of a nice partnership, the little seal introduce himself as Oil and extended his paw a gesture that the captain reciprocate
"I'm Captain Jeireddin Teach, also known as Red Scarf" He said with a proud smile "The girls are part of my crew, Anne the Piyomon and Mary the Gizamon, we are known as the "Seekers of Glory" We sail the macro sea in search of fame, fortune and treasures!"
"Before the captain keeps rambling, we'd like to know what is this place and who brought us here? Our memory is really fuzzy about it" Mary decided to interrupt and make the important questions

While Red Scarf spoke, Oil just stared at the Impmon, tilting his head slowly. One he was done with his first statement, the seal just issued a giggle. “You definitely are more talkative than Zaruno.”Now that Anne was speaking, he just turned to see her and listened closely. Once Mary had contributed with her own piece of insight, the Gomamon finally said something else. “You wouldn’t be able to even if there were no guards.” That sentence was accompanied by the shook of his head. “You can try using techniques as much as you want. You won’t be able to, and will end up just feeling tired.” He raised his own left paw, pointing at the middle of it with his right one. If they looked closely, they would see… nothing more than a paw. But…! “They put some type of chip in us. If you try to use a technique, you probably will feel some sting in the area where they put it.” Well, there was some info there! However, Oil looked like the less fretted Gomamon in the world while he explained the situation. Once the other side of the introductions were given, he issued a simple nod. “That’s a cool name for a crew, Jeich.” Apparently, he had already decided how he was going to call the captain. “Nice to meet you too, Anne, Mary.” No changes there. His green eyes shifted towards the frog as she issued her question. He opened up his mouth to actually provide an answer, until… The sound of a ‘clank’ would probably startle everyone inside the cell. The scarce light of the hallway (that was, at least, significantly brighter than the insides of the cell) would let them see a tall, armored digimon by their door, using a key to open the metallic door, also constituted by bars. “Time for dinner. Come on.” A deep, dead-serious voice echoed inside the armor of the Knightmon. Zaruno was the first one to move. He hoisted himself up and slid the shiny coin inside his pocket to start walking through the door and behind the Knightmon, who was leading the way. Once he went through the portal, and even if they couldn’t see his face, the crew would definitely notice something: Zaruno was a human. “It was one of those guys who brought you.” Oil whispered as he walked towards the door too. “Let’s go.”They probably should follow suit if they didn’t want trouble. Given the distance there was between the Knightmon they were following (Zaruno being midway through that distance), and Oil, they probably could keep chatting with the little seal if they whispered.

So unable to use their attacks? Whoever put them here knew what he was doing and took all precautions, the Captain doubted that this was a simple prison for pirates too much security specially if they put them here, their career as pirates just recently started their heads doesn't have a big bounty (if any at all) so there must be a reason as to why they were put here on the first place
Before the seal could speak again a Knightmon enter and told the group that dinner was ready and ask them to follow him, Zaruno was quick on his feet and move on without looking at the others, the imp is not very fond of humans and the attitude of this one was rubbing him the wrong way
Knowing that they can't do anything the Seekers of Glory follow the Knight digimn, while silently following him the Captain was thinking of a way to get something out of the digimon, he doubted it will say something but they don't lose anything trying, the imp look at Anne which the Piyomon answer with a nod and then flying towards the Knightmon
"Mr. Knightmon, sir... Nothing is going to happen to us, right?" She said in a soft tone "I'm just an innocent little bird, I don't want to get hurt... Why are we in this place?"
"Doubt she's gonna get anything, but it's better than nothing" The captain sighed and mutter to himself "What's the deal with this place? He ask Oil keeping his voice low so the Knight wouldn't hear them, tho with Anne there it already has a distraction "Too much security just to keep some pirates in line, there must be something else.... What did you do to get thrown here?"

Nothing. Although his eyes moved for a second to his right to glare at the little bird approaching him, the Knightmon, walking in front of the group of prisoners, kept silence. Not really surprising. While he walked, he stopped in every cell from that wing, opening it and issuing the same words he issued before.
“Time for dinner. Come on.”
Apparently, he was in charge of taking all of the prisoners in that wing outside their cells to some bigger dining room, where they would eat.
Regarding the other prisoners? They all seemed to be following the guard, kind of knowing there wasn’t much they could do. Some of them were humans, but most of them were digimon. About the species? A wide variety, no pattern the crew could see, except for the fact they were all rookie digimon. Maybe this section was fully dedicated to child ‘criminals’?
“It’s worth the try.” Oil shrugged, as he kept walking next to the captain and Mary. Then, he went on to try and answering Red Scarf’s question. While he did, they seemed to reach the end of the hall, getting to a definitely more illuminated hall.
This one was… huge! And they were pretty high above. It was a multi-story squared chamber, with many levels going up, each of them seemed to take to different hallways, where the cells seemed to be located. The center of the chamber was hollow, finding the end only on the ground floor, with a railing separating each floor from a pretty high fall there. If they looked down or above the railing, they would notice they were at one of the upper floors, with a lot of distance separating them from the base of the square.
The Knightmon, being followed by all the rookies, started walking towards one of the corners in the floor they were in, heading towards an elevator. It was pretty roomie, so everyone should be able to get in there.
“We're in Grimway Island Prison.” He disclosed. “It’s a high-security prison located at the island of Grimway. A small piece of land basically known by the prison only. The Navy runs this one.”
The seal went on to explain a bit of his own situation, not before looking a bit confused at the question. “What we all did, I guess? Being pirates. More specifically, looking for… you know.” It seemed like there was something he did not want to say out loud. “I was traveling with my captain and our ship got surrounded by Navy vessels. I helped her escape but… Well, here I am.” He giggled. He really did not seem too concerned about his own situation. Why?
While the elevator descended through the many floors of the structure at high speed, the group continued to chat. “The Navy wants to stop the Pirate virus as soon as possible, I guess. That’s why they got us all in here. We’re some type of example for the other pirates out there, so they know the Navy is not going to hesitate in stopping the pirates in their tracks.”
When the doors opened, the doorway would give way to the ground floor. It was a well-illuminated hall, with squared tables scattered across the whole layout. Each of them had eight chairs around, a bowl of food placed in front of every seat. “Food here sucks. But I’m too hungry to complain.”
The Knightmon was the first to get off the elevator, making way for the prisoners to move freely around the floor, looking for a table. From every corner of the hall, elevators had arrived too, so now the ground floor was full of prisoners ready to eat their food.
Oil scanned the scene, seemingly looking for someone. “Oh!” Once he spotted Zaruno, who was idly walking towards a table, he just followed suit. “Let’s go, Jeich.” He moved his paw, telling the crew to follow him. Apparently, they were sharing table with both their cellmates.

As expected the Knightmon barely noticed the bird, so no getting info guards and without the use of their powers and abilities it means that aside from flying Anne is as much as a dead weight as the rest, if there was one thing Teach hated was feeling powerless , withtout his powers the impmon is no better than a simple human and that's the worst part!
"I'm sorry Ca─"
"No need, I didn't actually expected for you to succeed, it's not your fault it just means that we need to think of a different approach" The imp interrupted the bird
"Seems that they have gather quiet a lot of prisoners too... Wonder if they are at rookie stage due to being unable to evolve or are evolution suppressed like our skills" Mary brought an interesting question it'll be smarter to keep everyone in lower levels
As the group follow the Knightmon the Seekers of Glory listen to the words of Oil, a high security prison in the middle of nowhere with little to nobody knowing about it, Teach grinned as Oil said that he and his captain where surrounded by navy vessels and help her escape at the costo of him being captured, that kind of loyalty is admirable the seal definitely gets an A+ on the captain's book
His smile quickly fade as he heard that the navy was putting them as examples, to warn other pirates about the fate that awaits them if they keep going, the navy has made a terrible mistake if that's the case because Jeireddin Teach is not an example of prisoner, this only made his thirst to escape even greater to show that the navy has no power by escaping this prison
They got to the dining area and follow the Gomamon to where Zaruno was, the imp didn't know why the seal wanted to be near the silent human aside being their cellmate, in anycase they sit on the table and stare blankly at their food bowls, it certainly did not look tasty or at least it didn't for Teach and Anne, Mary on the other hand didn't lost a second to face plant the bowl and start devouring everything, one thing to be note about the Gizamon is that she has a voracious appetite and apparently even the worst food taste good for her
"Alright we need to think of something, the navy will regret the day they imprisoned Captain Red Scarf, we're gonna make them look like fools"
"Well we have a problem cap, no skills and aside our cell, this place and what Anne saw we don't know the layout" Said Mary taking a break of the food to hear the captain
"True, but Terminus wasn't built in one day, we need to gather information, we know something already, everyone here is a pirate that is on the look for Aivirtsa" Said the captain name dropping backwards the "you know" that Oil mentioned
"And you think they'll want to help us?"
"Of course! Honor among pirates, together we are stronger than any of them!" Tho Anne had a very good point, as confident as Teach was about the rest joining for a prison riot there was one thing he needed to confirm "How is the morale here? People have already gave up or someone besides us is trying to escape?

Now that they were sitting at a table and far enough from the Knightmons, Oil actually addressed Mary’s doubt. “I did try to digivolve before. No luck.” The little seal commented, while he kept eating the brown paste they had for dinner, seemingly not too fretted about the taste. “If I had to guess, I would say it’s caused by the same thing blocking our techniques.”With the group of five sitting around the table, Zaruno dipped his spoon in his dinner, taking bites. It wasn’t that the food was good or anything, it was just that these two did not seem to care about flavors, although for different reasons. “Uuuuh. Scary!” That was the Gomamon's response to Teach’s words. There did not seem to be any sarcasm in them, though. Then, he simply chuckled loudly, smashing his plate against the table, spitting some of the paste. “Ai… what!?” The seal kept laughing loudly. Zaruno’s eyes went to the captain for a second, then back to his bowl. Finally gaining some composure, Oil scooted closer to the pirate, whispering. “Wait, you mean Astrivia, right?” Had he intentionally misspelled its name? If so, that was funny! Clearly, Oil didn’t understand he was saying 'Astrivia' backward. To this, the human sharing the table with them let out a sigh. In any case! the Soca pirate seemed to have left this topic behind, placing one paw below his chin and tapping the other one on the table. “Working together, huh? Although that might go against some very basic concepts about being a pirate… it also makes sense.” Honestly, he seemed even a bit impressed with such a suggestion. Then, the merrier cellmate tackled the Impmon’s question. “I’m not trying to escape… right now.” He confessed. “But I can still help you look for a way out.” Punctuating that sentence with a smile, he went on to think about the rest of the prisoners, looking rather pensive. “Well… I don’t know any other prisoner besides…” Slowly, his green eyes drifted towards Zaruno. Now that they were under the light of the cafeteria, the pirates would actually be able to get a proper look at the man. “But… Now that I think about it..." Oil made a pause, still looking rather pensive. "Maybe he doesn’t count! Zaruno let the Navy capture him on purpose. He’s here because he wants to, there’s no way the Navy could capture a…” “You’re talking too much, Oil.” A deep, mature but still youthful voice would get to the crew’s ears. Those had actually been the first words the human uttered since they met him, and they were not even directed to any member of the Seekers of Glory. “S-Sorry.” The seal showed an apologetic smile and scratched his head. “Anyway!” Quickly, he changed the topic, his eyes moving over the room and glancing at someone. “See that Hackmon by the farthest corner from us? Please don’t be too evident.” If any of the members glared there, they would find a Hackmon, having a seat around the center of a table, surrounded by other rookies. They seemed… important. Oil kept eating, acting as if he was talking about anything else. “She seems to have lots of allies around here. I assume that, just like any normal digimon, she should be interested in escaping this place. I heard she belonged to the Rocket Pirates, some crew decently strong and well-known around the ocean. If I have to point you to someone who probably knows the right people, it would be her.” That had to be an interesting piece of information, but… “You can’t randomly approach her, though. If any guard sees a prisoner approach someone they don’t know out of nowhere, they’ll probably suspect something is wrong, and you’ll get in trouble.” Oil noted, still speaking nonchalantly. “You should try causing a distraction so the guards don’t see you talk to her.” Finally, he placed his bowl back on the table and smiled at the captain. “If you can come up with a plan, I’m willing to help you, Jeich.”

So evolution was off the table, that was to be expected to be honest and it's not like it would have done much difference as nor of the Seekers of Glory are able to evolve yet, the captain sighed as the seal burst into laughter and then just name drop what he tried to hide, what's the point of saying "You know what" if you can name it anyways?
"Yes, it was intentional you know to not say it directly"
That aside Oil didn't seem to want to escape at least yet, the captain would've question that but he has his reason and are his alone, luckily the seal did help him pointing at one person that might help, of course he did say to not look directly so the captain and his crew just subtly move their eyes in the direction Oil told them
They saw a Hackmon surrounded by other rookies, Oil explain that she's part of the Rocket Pirates a name that does ring some bells, getting close could bring a benefit for both groups, for what little the captain was able to see she had a big group on her side and while the Seekers are just a trio each member bring something to the table, Anne can fly and cover more ground than anyone in that way, as long as you feed Mary she's a hard worker that will do anything you ask her, and of course the captain he has the charisma and leadership skills to organize everyone for the big escape... But first the way to approach it...
"How bad is security here? Let's just say someone starts a small fight that just turns into a riot, what would the guards do? Would they just take away the troublemakers? Torture them? Kill them?"
The imp had not touch his bowl and is thinking of bribing the Gizamon with the food to make something stupid to get the attention away from him, yet if it means a terrible fate for Mary the captain will need to thnk of something else.

“Oh…” Now that he had understood what the captain of the Seekers of Glory meant initially, Oil seemed a bit sad the thing had lost its laughable side. “Right.” It was a good thing Teach knew what Astrivia was and how to say it right, even if it was not as funny in the end.
To his question, the Gomamon shook his head firmly. “You definitely don’t want to do that. Although I don’t really have any proof, I would say these guards seem to be looking for any excuse to terminate any of us, so that’s definitely not a good idea. I heard things are like that since one of the top officers of the Navy came to supervise staff. Although he seems nice to me.” In honesty, the pirate looked a bit concerned about the safety of his cellmates. Which was probably a good thing.
Oil stopped for a second to think, his paw under the lower side of his head. While he pondered about a possible solution, he let out a very evident ‘hmmm’ sound. Once he seemed to have come to something, he spoke again.
“I think we’ll have some recreation time tomorrow morning. Since there are lots of games and things to do in the yard, maybe you can casually invite her to play and take that chance to talk. The guards probably would not suspect in that scenario.” Well, that was a suggestion. Although it involved waiting until tomorrow, it seemed like one of the safest bets. “In the meanwhile, you can learn a bit more about the prison so you have something to offer during that potential conversation tomorrow.”
Well, that did make sense. Who was Oil, and why did it wobble between intelligence and plain unawareness? He seemed to have brilliant moments and then going back to being an innocent seal. What other types of info could Teach, Mary and Ann learn from him? Were they missing the potential chance of asking him more stuff?
“So I guess that’s an option unless you have a plan you can execute right now. If so, you might want to go for it now, since dinner time is almost over and we’ll be going back into our cells in around five minutes.” His green eyes shifted towards a giant clock, located at the western side of the dining hall.

Figures... Of course the navy wouldn't hesitate to take one of them down if they gives them a reason, well that puts a hold to the make Mary create a distraction, what else could they do? Usually the captain will be prepare for a situation like this but no powers and no evolution restricted a lot his options.
"I see..." He let out a sight "Guess escaping won't be a one day task... We need to gather more information and tools to make our escape"
The food didn't look tasty at all but he'd lie if he said he wasn't hungry, the imp took a couple of spoons and then just passed the bowl to the frog, at least he didn't had the stomach empty and keeping Mary well fed will maintain the Gizamon happy and with energies to work.
Oil brought something interesting, tomorrow they'll have a recreation time in the morning, definitely a good moment to get to know the Hackmon, only problem is the waiting game which would be a good oportunity to study the surroundings as the Gomamon suggested, the waiting game is something the cap is terrible at.
"Five minutes won't be enough, we'll have to wait as much as I hate it"
"It won't be that bad, we can spend the night getting to know each other, tell stories and many more things! it'll be morning when you least expect it!" There goes Anne with her happy optimism, the only person that would be happy to be in a prison... Well aside of the Human that seemed to be caught on purpose
"Are there any bathrooms or something? I don't like being dry for long periods of time" Said the frog burping, she doesn't have many manners specially on the table, but her question did give an idea to the captain
"If you are able to go there keep your eyes and ears open, anything could be useful for us"
That said the only other thing they could do was Anne's suggestion, get to know each other and all that or sleep to make time pass and wait for the morning

With the Seekers of Glory having to disengage from their plan and postponing its execution until tomorrow, nothing else of interest happened during the dinner. While it was true everyone had the possibility of a bathroom break before going back to their cells, the ones who decided to use it would be escorted all the way to the bathrooms by the Knightmon and back into confinement. Anything of interest along the way? Not really. More murky, dirty halls and a murky, dirty bathroom. Hopefully, it would be enough for Mary to get wet.
Once everyone was back at their cells, Oil seemed to be a lot less chatty than before. Apparently, the seal was fairly sleepy and ready to go to bed. “I believe I’ve never seen Zaruno use any of the beds.” The pirate glanced at the human, who was back at sitting on the floor and leaning against a wall. “I have the upper story of this bunkbed, but you three can use the lower story and the whole other bunkbed if you wish.”
With that, Oil pulled an old sheet over his head and started falling asleep.
A brief recap sounded like a good idea for the crew now.
They were at a prison called Grimway, created to isolate the pirates looking for Astrivia. Inside the perimeter, they seemed to be unable to evolve or use abilities. How did they get there was still a total mystery. Among Teach’s belongings, there was a mysterious card, that he had decided to not ask Oil, his cellmate, about. The other cellmate was a human named Zaruno, a man of few words. Tomorrow they were planning to talk to some Hackmon who seemed to be pretty popular around the yard, maybe she knows any way of getting out.
The night had progressed many hours since they came back to the cell. Even if there was no clock inside, it was safe to assume at least 4 hours had happened since they returned. Considering dinner time finished at 10 pm, it could be around 2 am.
If any of the pirates was not a heavy sleeper (which was clearly the case of Oil, who was sleeping like a boulder) or if they had remained awake until now, they would notice some type of movement inside their cell. If they opened their eyes, and as long as they made an effort to not show they were awake, they would see a shadowy figure standing up. Due to its height, it was clear it was Zaruno.
The figure approached the front bars of the cell, those that led to the hallway they had crossed to go to the dining room. After staring at them for a second or two, the human performed a circular movement with his right arm, his hand opened. While he layered the motion, a trail of purple light appeared in front of him, following his open palm. He closed the movement by returning his hand to the starting point. Due to the insides of the circle showing something that was not the insides of the cell, it was clear he had done something.
Carefully, the human jumped into the circle, being absorbed by it and disappearing from the cell. Immediately, an identical trail of light formed at the hallway, outside of the cell, only for the human to come out of it and run towards the end of the corridor, taking a turn to his right.
If the crew was interested in following the man, they had to move. In less than two seconds, this 'portal' thing would have closed, leaving nothing inside the chamber. In that case, maybe they would like to choose who should follow Zaruno? Should everyone go through the portal? Should some stay? Or should they just ignore this and go back to sleep, sticking to the sole plan of talking to the Hackmon tomorrow?
Interesting decisions ahead.

The captain sighed and follow the rest back to their cell, while Mary had the chance to make a bathroom stop before going back to confinement the Gizamon didn't find anything helpful for them, so it was back to square one, once in their cell it was time to sleep, Oil climb to the bed above and Zaruno went back to his corner just like when they wake up.
There was something odd about this human, normally the captain wouldn't even pay attention to him, but the way he acts and the fact that Oil said he let himself be capture got the attention of the captain, was that something good? Who knows, but he'll definitely will keep an eye on the human.
"I guess there is nothing else we can do tonight" Said Anne improvising a nest with the sheets of the lower story bunkbed "Better get some rest, you know what they say! The early Piyomon gets the Wormon!"
"Agree!" Said the frog climbing the bed and laying right next to the bird
The captain on the other hand too the other bunkbed but he didn't fell asleep immediately like his crew, he had too many things on his head, he was specially focus on recalling the events that lead to the trio end in this prison, sadly all that was a worthless effort as he couldn't remember anything, he then proceed to examine the card he found in his belongings earlier to see if he could get something out of it, maybe he should ask someone about it after all everyone here seems to be after Astrivia, for now it would be best to just rest a little, tomorrow will be a long day.
At least that was the idea but there was a slight change of plans when Teach felt some movement, he play possum and act asleep yet keep his ears up trying tu identify what was happening, he could get a glimpse of a purple light appearing, the captain hold his breath and urge to look around for a good five seconds, after that he turn and Zaruno jumping into some kind of portal... What? How? Humans don't have powers and even if they have it was suppose to be blocked..
Teach jump off his bed and thought of waking up the crew to give chase but seeing that the portal was getting smaller there was no time to lose, the imp ran towards the purple circle and jump giving chase to the human

It was in the silent darkness of his cell, with no sound but the steps of the Knightmons that could be heard down above through that excuse of a window, that Teach was able to remember something else, while he looked at the card. Although the memory had no image, a female child-like voice echoed in his head.
“So? Are you interested? I think it’s a pretty good lead, you know?”
“Hey! These ones are trying to find Astrivia, get them!”
Sadly, his memory had not managed to reach any type of context or image attached to these words. What did they mean? And who did that voice belong to? Apparently, talking with Oil about Astrivia had worked for something. A memory had been triggered in his head, unveiling a bit more of the road that had brought him and his crew here.
The memories and the time to reminisce was part of the past now! The Impmon had decided to follow Zaruno immediately, not taking the risk of letting the portal close by waking his partners up. Effectively, Teach would be able to get to the other side of the portal, by simply leaping into the gate opened at his side of the cell. Just like that, he was out now! Due to the speed Zaruno moved with, he would have to run towards the end of the hall immediately, and turn to the right, just like the human did.
How fast did this guy move? The pirate of the Red Scarf would be met with another hallway, another aisle full of cells to each side. The only trace of Zaruno he would find was located by the end of the hallway. Between the closing doors of an elevator, he could see the blue, long cloak the human had. That was definitely him. But how to catch him?
Due to the distance that separated the end of the hallway with Teach’s current position, it did not matter how hard he ran, he would not get there before the doors closed. Upon arriving, he would find nothing but the empty shaft of the elevator, with the lifting capsule already elevating a couple of meters above him. Damn it!
To his right, a set of stairs that seemed to go up. Should he be able to know his way around if he took those? Or should he think quickly and look for a way of latching into the elevator before it was too far away? Waiting was probably a bad idea! Time to be either creative or reckless.
