The Mysterious Vagabond - Demon Lords 2A

Rasielmon's Sanctum wouldn't be an unfamiliar sight to those responding to her call for help. Every time a new update on the Demon Lord situation hit Tamernet, she'd be right there reporting it live. By now, any human or Digimon that frequented this service would be accustomed to the golden walls shimmering in the light of the Empyrean Skies, the vague echo carried by the wide open halls, and the wireframe projection of the Digital World. Whereas most plots against the Demon Lords would dive into the heart of the enemy, this one had the fortune of being fought on the closest thing to home turf available.
However, the Sanctum wouldn't feel very homey for Hiroyo, Ophelia, or Yuko today. Past broadcasts and visits to the sanctum were alive with hustle and bustle, angels flitting about in all directions to try and monitor the situation. Instead, only silence greeted the trio. While the great hall always felt spacious, the lack of attendants made it look downright abandoned. Only Rasielmon remained at her post, illuminated by the green glow of the Digital Globe above her. Occasionally she shook her head, fumbling for what looked like an especially full champagne flute. "No. Come on, at least one of these has to be different," she muttered under her breath. "They're just . . . standing there. Menacingly. It's impossible."
Only the sound of a teleportation keyhole shutting behind the trio of heroes would catch Rasielmon's attention. Her head jolted up, as if being woken from a bad dream, and her ears twitched as she looked around for the source of the noise. Upon seeing everyone arrive, she put on a big, cheerful smile and pushed her champagne flute away. "Ah, of course! There you are," she said, doing her best to sound relaxed. "Sorry about the mess today. With how relentless Lucemon's been, we put all other angels on battlestations today." She motioned towards the window, stepping aside so her chosen warriors could see if they wished. Dense crowds of Angemon and D'arcmon stood shoulder to shoulder, surrounding the Sanctum like a living shield wall. Angewomon stood behind them, arrows of light primed and ready to fire, and a MagnaAngemon sitting atop a Hippogriffmon surveyed the battlefield from above. It was clear that the Inner Sanctum was prepared for an all-out onslaught.
Far on the horizon, a single figure started to approach. With how distant they were it'd be easy to miss, but the way the clouds literally parted to bask them in sunlight was unmistakable. With five demonic wings to their left, five angelic wings to their right, perfectly coiffed hair, and an immaculate fashion sense, Lucemon had made their arrival. They came without an army, without a weapon, and seemingly without any care in the world. In fact, they held their hands up to the sky and spread their arms wide to make it clear just how ill-prepared they were for this battle. It was too far to read their expression, but Rasielmon tensed up nonetheless.
"They're smiling."
The Angemon hunkered down, holding their staves in defensive formation, while the D'arcmon took point and raised their shields. Yet Lucemon was still unconcerned, stepping forward as the clouds closed back up behind them. The grass beneath their feet seemed to perk up, only to wilt in disappointment when they stepped off of it. Even the ambient sounds of birds chirping and mayflies buzzing died down as Lucemon made their approach: were they intimidated, or simply giving Lucemon the floor to speak?
Yet, Lucemon did not speak. True to Rasielmon's predictions, they were dead silent as they approached, looking the angelic sanctum up and down as if in approval. They did not raise a hand against the angelic guards, even as nervous sweat collected on the brows of those with weaker resolve. They didn't even wave, shout, or otherwise indicate their approach. Had Rasielmon not gone to look out the window, it was likely she would never have even known he was here.
He just stood there, smiling.

In the ongoing saga of Yuko’s partner Digimon dragging her around to do seemingly random quests, they had somehow found themselves in Heaven of all places. Actually, they called this place the ‘Empyrean Skies’, but it was literally located high above the clouds, was teeming with angel-type Digimon and was brimming with light and all things holy, so as far as Yuko was concerned, this was Digi-Heaven.
From what the newbie Tamer understood, and from what this… futuristic, angelic, hard-drinking cat-lady told them, their holy city of holiness was being invaded by this guy called Lucemon, who was apparently a huge deal… aaand there he was! A rather camp-looking, half-angel, half-demon just waltzing into the place like he was taking an everyday stroll. “So, this is the Demon Lord, right? If you guys had an entire army waiting for him, what did you need us for?” Yuko asked in nothing more than curiosity. Thankfully, there seemed to be another human with them, and this one looked older too. Hopefully she would know more about this situation.
“Oi, Dracmon.” The female delinquent looked down at her partner Digimon. “How come Lucemon is treated as an outsider, but you were let in here no problem? Don’t you two have the same rank?” Dracmon scoffed weakly at that. “Bah! He’s a Demon Lord. I’m the Demon King. Totally different!” “They sound pretty samey to me…” Yuko pondered to herself. Her confusion mostly stemmed from the fact that ‘Demon Lord’ and ‘Demon King’ were pronounced exactly the same in Japanese. That aside, she couldn’t help but notice that ever since they had arrived in Digi-Heaven, Dracmon was acting remarkably under the weather. “Lemme guess. This place’s holiness is making you weaker? You really are a vampire, huh?” “I have no idea what you’re talking about. I’m completely fine.” The unholy Dark Area Digimon claimed, trying shakily to walk, before he decided to sit down on the floor for a while. “I just sprained my ankle while being teleported, is all.”
Yuko sighed, before turning to the others. “So, what do we do exactly? He’s big, he’s bad and he’s here. If he hasn’t tried to start a fight yet, maybe he just wants to talk?”

Right behind Yuko and Dracmon would be Ophelia and Cassie; the two sisters gazing about at the Sanctum as they entered. For what might've been a bustling and warm-feeling place before, it was eerily quiet; something that left Ophelia's ears twitching every which way and her nose sniffing for any sign of life, tail tip twitching the slightest bit all the whilst. Cassie, though, would still find some awe in the place - even if it felt practically abandoned, it was still quite the sight; something that reminded her of the Sanctuarium Unionis, back at Ys. It was also at least a little comforting, that Ophelia could pick up scents of the other angels that were here before - even if the scents in question were a little bit old. It still at least told her that there hadn't been some big fight that she had missed, yet the alternative would probably be a whole can of worms of its own.
Even if Ophelia could smell the hints of anxiety on Rasielmon, she could just as much see it in the angel's demeanor, watching as she would jolt to attention as the lot of them would finally arrive in full, and the keyhole portal would close behind them. Ophelia's ears twitched in Rasielmon's direction as she greeted them - nodding understandingly at the other's apology. So Lucemon was getting close enough to make the angels worried? Ophelia was no stranger to the concept of defending one's territory, one's space - so she didn't comment too much on this, instead moving to the indicated window to peer outside at Rasielmon's gesture.
Cassie, though, would chirp up to the angel - asking "Are you doing okay, Miss? You seem really stressed..." with a sympathetic expression, her head tilting to the side. The little Gomamon-X would make her way up to Rasielmon, before moving to hug her leg - the strength that Cassie tended to put behind her hugs and affection likely being no-problem for the far stronger angel to handle. "We're here now, we'll help make sure nothing goes bad!" She'd try to reassure Rasielmon with an optimistic smile, her tail wiggling briefly.
Ophelia, though, wasn't sure what to make of this whole situation herself; peering out the window at the assembled guardians, and off in the distance... Lucemon. Even from here, she could see the command their mere presence held - the unsettling silence of the wildlife, the unconcern and smile of the Demon Lord despite the army's readiness... Even their signal was almost discernible from here - and it was powerful, as a Demon Lord would likely be expected to be. Yet, whereas the growing anxiety of the assembled angels was practically palpable... Ophelia seemed to, subconsciously, react in opposite; a tinge of excitement belied only in a brief tremble in the tip of her tail, and the way her hands flexed - as if she were imagining herself brandishing her sword in a fight - before her thoughts were torn away by another's voice.
The two sisters would finally bring their gaze towards the Tamer, as she questioned why they were needed here if an entire army was ready to face Lucemon. Ophelia was quiet for but a brief moment as she considered the question, before scratching the back of her head - glancing back at Lucemon for the slightest moment before she tore her attention away once more. "I mean, the angels seem to have all these different plans they've coordinated, and have been able to manage to make some damn good headway on, thus far. I imagine there's something about us that sets us apart from the army, if anything." She'd remark, before continuing "And even if we can't add much... This'll be my first real glimpse of a Demon Lord in person - I imagine that we can learn a hell of a lot just from being here, and I'm not afraid to try my hand at leading a charge with my new trinkets!"
Grinning widely and confidently, Ophelia would pat at the belt around her waist. Whilst her mission-mates wouldn't notice her change in equipment - given that this was their first time meeting - it was possible that Rasielmon would notice this change! Before, she only had a couple of coin pouches at her right hip, and her Blue Blade sheathed at her left hip. But now? An old-looking horn - something that seemed to be made for a somewhat larger digimon, yet Ophelia handled the weight with ease - was hooked next to her Blue Blade. And next to the coin pouches, was hooked what almost looked to be a hilt without its blade; a strange addition, yet upon drawing it, a razor-sharp looking blade of ice would extend from the hilt, in facsimile to her Blue Blade! "I want to make good use of the horn, n' make Paledramon proud, if I can; and getting an excuse to test my Azure Fang would be great, too!"
Cassie would blink in Ophelia's direction, before briefly giggling. "You're getting really worked up, aren't you Ophi?" She'd observe with amusement. But, it wasn't like she could blame the Spadamon. Having seen Ophelia as she received the horn, and having seen her as shd forged Azure Fang back at Ys... The Gomamon-X could remember the sheer excitement and awe that Ophelia held, at gaining these new treasures of hers - so it was no wonder to her why Ophelia would be so eager to test them out here! Cassie, though, wouldn't linger too much on that - instead glancing towards Yuko and Dracmon, as the two briefly conversed about the situation at hand.
As Dracmon tried to deny reacting negatively to the area - which, Cassie thought it'd make sense that a demon digimon wouldn't be suited for this environment - the Gomamon-X would approach him with a kind and friendly smile. "I could heal you up real quick, if you think that'd help out with the 'sprained ankle'; I'm not a huge fighter, but I'm good at helping others!" She'd offer, settling down next to Dracmon and resting her head on her front flippers.
At Yuko's suggestion of a talk, though, Ophelia would fold her arms behind her head. "Coming here for a talk makes sense, though just waltzing up here with what I'm guessing is no heads up is one shitty way to ask for one, if you ask me." She'd remark, staring back out at Lucemon for yet a third time. If he really wasn't here to fight, though... ... The idea of actually getting to talk to a Demon Lord, face-to-face, intrigued her.
It was about then though, that Cassie would chirp up. "Oh, right! We should introduce ourselves before we get into too big of a talk...!" The Gomamon-X would giggle sheepishly, before moving to offer everyone else a handshake with her front flipper - smiling brightly. "My name is Cassandra, though everyone calls me Cassie or Cass - and that over there is my sister, Ophelia! It's nice to meet you all!" Ophelia, too, would glance to them - and would grin briefly, with a nod. "Hell yeah, let's kick this mission's ass - one way or another - yeah?"

A step across the portal line that was neither up nor down. Hiroyo stood with Roger on her right shoulder and Morgan hovering off her left as they crossed into the sanctum a little behind the other responders. There was a pause before the three followed their compatriots and as they walked they looked around constantly.
They'd been here before. Before the wider world became aware of the return of the Demon Lords. Hiroyo hadn't been strictly paying attention but she remembered it being busier than, the scuttle of various angelic 'mons scuttling about in service to the Four Greats.
"...Was it this quiet last time?" She asked in hushed tones. With the emptiness and decor it felt like she was walking into an empty church.
Morgan kept pace with her as she trailed behind the other two, his wings providing a constant low-buzzing she found soothing. His antenna twitched constantly as he felt the faint wind currents that drifted through. "Mmm, not quite. It was a different kind of quiet then."
"Heh, figures you weren't paying attention." Roger's voice had no real edge to it, but he wasn't bothering to keep his voice down either as they approached Rasielmon. He snorted at the black-haired girl's comment about armies and spoke to her with a bit of derision. "This isn't some self-proclaimed 'demon lord' or 'demon king', this is one of the Demon Lords."
"Roger!" Hiroyo reached up and flicked his beak with her fingers as she scolded him. "Be nice. The difference isn't really that obvious, and most humans haven't met a capital letters Demon Lord in person."
"There is a difference though." The Kunemon muttered but he dipped his head in what was almost an apology as he readjusted his feet on the shoulder of Hiroyo's jacket. She reached up with the arm he was hovering over to pat his side reassuringly as they listed to the others talk about-well all sorts of things really.
"We have encountered a Demon Lord before." Morgan said to Ophelia as he studied Rasielmon carefully. The white lion was right, the cat-angel did look stressed. "We were present when Lilithmon revealed herself. We were also here shortly before the first mission alerts went out. It is good to meet you again, Rasielmon. Are the others so occupied they cannot attend to this?"
Hiroyo was quiet for a while after that, looking between Dracmon and his partner and Ophelia and her retinue as the suggestions flew. At the mention of fighting Lucemon the woman's face twisted into a comical expression. Luckily for everyone involved Yuko had a much more sensible suggestion!
"Actually...Lucemon was part of a talk earlier! I actually met someone who was present for a-I guess it'd be like tele-conference with most of the Demon Lords? It was some kind of diplomatic meeting." She shrugged her free shoulder. Most of them except the one she really wanted to know about from Toki had said! It was frustrating, but maybe that tentative connection would be helpful here. "He actually kinda hit it off with Lucemon, or at least established some kind of respect? I don't know all the details but I think Lucemon might be reasonable about tlaking things out. We might be able to use that to start talking though!"
"Hmph! If not we'll back you up if it comes to a fight." Roger cut in. He flashed a beaky grin to Ophelia, his antennta flicking with excitment. It hadn't exactly gone smoothly last time, but after the long time spent in Rosewood he felt like something within the group had changed. Hiroyo even nodded to his words, a bit reluctantly but if worst came to worst she would do her best to stand with him.
"Regardless, we should go out there with a plan and all the facts in place." Morgan said. He landed by Hiroyo's feet with a small frown, from down here he had to crane his neck to meet anyone's eyes but if it did come to a fight it would be prudent to save his strength in whatever way he could. He gave a nod to Cassie, his expression softening a little at the introduction. "It's a pleasure to meet you Cassie, Ophelia. I'm Morgan, my brother is Roger, and Hiroyo is herself."
"Your outfit's really great, you're all dressed up for adventure!!" Hiroyo grinned as she waved her free hand. She herself was wearing sensible enough clothing. Shorts with sneakers, small purse with a long strap over her free shoulder, flowery shirt under a light jacket, and a *giant sunhat*. It looked more 'fun summer day' than 'diplomatic meeting' but it wasn't like she had had time to change when the keyportal opened! She dropped her hand to land on her purse again. It didn't lay still, almost immediately her fingers began tugging and playing with her zipper's tongue. "Um so, in terms of a plan we should figure out what we want to know, right? What Lucemon is doing here is obvious...I also want to fish for information about where Lay-Lilithmon has disappeared to. I think that might be kinda important. She was on the map before then hid."
Morgan gave her a various obvious side-eye and Roger snorted quietly but they didn't say anything against her addition.

Yuko was the first of the chosen heroes to come into Rasielmon's sanctum, and she didn't seem too impressed by the threat facing them. At the mention of an entire army being there to challenge Lucemon, Rasielmon simply cast a wary glance outside. "I can see futures," she said, voice somewhat quiet. "They're never quite set in stone. But I can see the possibilities a decision may hold, and how likely they are to happen. Think of it like dropping a leak in a river. You know the river branches, but you never quite know which branch it'll take.
When I look down the river, I see the army standing no chance. I . . . I tried to tell them all to go home, but they insisted they remain at their posts." The angel's claws tightened. Her hand trembled. Nevertheless, she tried to look strong. As Dracmon recoiled in pain from the holiness of the Empyrean Skies, she stepped over to the weary demon's side. Her hand glowed a soft gold, and soon so did Dracmon's body. "Here. It isn't much, but this blessing should keep you protected from the fatigue that the Skies can cause. I forgot how much it can wear on smaller Digimon."
Cassie and Ophelia were right behind Yuko, the Gomamon X's question leaving Rasielmon blushing a little in surprise. "Huh? Oh, no, no, no, I'm fine, surely!" she said. "Besides, you shouldn't be worried about me. Lucemon's going to be enough on your plates, without adding me into the equation. But . . . thank you, anyway." Even if Rasielmon was stubborn in refusing the help, just the offer being made left her looking a bit more at ease. Her ears, previously perked up, had settled to a more natural position, and the tremble eased out of her hand.
Finally came someone Rasielmon recognized. She listened to Hiroyo and her insects bicker among one another, the familiar sound somewhat soothing. By the time she interjected agian, it was Morgan's question that had gotten her attention. "Bagramon and Cherubimon are handling the Belphemon situation up north. Ophanimon is hunting Leviamon down in the south. And a newer ally of ours is scouting out Daemon in the Dark Area," she explained. Her eyes clouded over some, and she bowed her head down so the others wouldn't see them start to mist up. "Seraphimon . . . he didn't make it. That means for now, it's just me keeping watch here."
After making their arrival, all three of Rasielmon's helping hands came to the same conclusion; talking to Lucemon would be the right option. "They did seem quite interested in mortals, and it was clear they were disappointed when Mephistomon cut their little chat short," Rasielmon said, humming softly. "Of all the Demon Lords, Pride tends to be both one of the most powerful and one of the most fickle. Speaking to them may actually be a good idea, but . . . be careful. There are an endless amount of ways this could end."
As everyone discussed the situation on the inside, Lucemon waited patiently on the outside. The large army that served as their welcome wagon didn't even seem to interest them. Instead, they looked down at their wrist as if it were a watch, yawning in an exaggerated fashion. "Oh, come now. Really?" they said. "Are you guys really gonna stay out here? 'Cause fighting you would just be . . . sad." The Hippogriffmon started, offended, but its MagnaAngemon rider held it back. Nobody wanted to be the first casualty, especially after getting put down like that!

Yuko couldn’t help but smile when the white lion cub Digimon proudly showed off its weapons, resisting her sudden urge to pet both it and its baby seal cohort. Of course Dracmon had to be a jerk about it, laughing at their expense. “Gyahahahaha! That’s what Lucemon will do when he sees your so-called trinkets, little kitty. Except he’s gonna laugh even harder!” His insensitive attitude got him an angry glare from Yuko, who apologized for him. “Don’t mind him, he’s an ass and he can’t help it. What he meant to say was, it’s nice to have you on the team, Cass and Ophelia. Cool nicknames, by the way.” She said, squatting on her knees so she could greet the two Rookie siblings.
When Cass offered to help Dracmon with his ‘sprained ankle’, the big-headed vampire gave a shit-eating grin. “Now that you mention it, I could use a foot massage. On with it, mutated Gomamon, these feet ain’t gonna rub themselves!” The self-proclaimed Demon King demanded in a bossy tone, as he took one of his shoes off, baring his chubby foot. Thankfully, the aquatic Digimon wouldn’t have to massage a vampire’s smelly feet after all, since Rasielmon granted Dracmon her divine blessing instead. “Ahh, I feel much better now. Thanks very much! You’re not so bad for a Meicoomon spawn.” The Nightmare Soldier thanked her, as he put his shoe back on and stood up.
The older Tamer and her insectoid partners informed the group that they had encountered a Demon Lord before, and Rasielmon confirmed that different Demon Lords’ operations were underway elsewhere as they spoke. “I see… The old hag, the goat, the crocodile and the hooded geezer have manifested too. It’s a real Demon Lord reunion! And Seraphimon has kicked the bucket again. This changes things completely. How interesting!” Dracmon remarked, seemingly elated by these news. “That doesn’t sound like something to be happy about at all. And stop being an ass to everyone.” Yuko bopped him in the head lightly, frowning sadly as she then turned to the large angelic cat. “I’m sorry about your friend…”
Apparently, this Lucemon guy was quite the talker, so trying to negotiate with him was deemed as a good plan by both Hiroyo and Rasielmon. It was then that the younger Tamer introduced herself. “I’m Himura Yuko and this is Dracmon. He calls himself the ‘Demon King of the Digital World’. I don’t really know what that title means, but he knows stuff.” Yuko’s outfit was also not very mission-esque. really, it was a random assortment of whatever clothing she had managed to buy ever since arriving in the Digital World. “If talking to Lucemon will prevent all those angels outside from dying, then it’s obviously the better plan. Who should we send though?” Dracmon raised his hand at that, and bounced up and down excitedly. “Oh, oh! Me, me! I haven’t talked to Lucy in ages!”

"I mean... This is your guys' territory, more or less, ain't it?" Ophelia would question Rasielmon, in response to her mention of the angels insisting to stay here. Calling it a territory was, perhaps, a severe oversimplification - but it still did the job as far as conveying her own thoughts went. "I can't blame them for wanting to protect their territory, their home, from an intruder - even from someone as big-sounding as a Demon Lord. Can't blame them for wanting to stick around for the sake of protecting and fighting for those close to them, either." She'd muse out loud - folding her arms as she peered to the angels in question, observing their rank and file that they were arranged in, as to stand against Lucemon.
"Treading on someone else's territory, where I come from, is just asking for a fight - even if you're bigger than them, a wild digimon is willing to fight to the death in order to protect what's important to them. Mom's that way, too; she's more than willing to chase bigger digimon away from her territory, without worrying too hard about herself."
Even as Rasielmon denied being stressed though, Cassie couldn't help but smile brightly up at the taller cat-angel at her thanks; briefly hugging her flippers tighter, and nuzzling Rasielmon's leg. "We're all in this together, yeah?" She'd chirp, her tail wiggling all the while. "We wouldn't be good helpers, if we didn't look out for you, too, after all! And you've been working hard to help everyone, so I'm okay with returning the favor!" She didn't see any harm in being there for Rasielmon - she was a friend, wasn't she? And friends stick together!
Though... Then came Dracmon. At first, there was him laughing at Ophelia showing off her trinkets - which... Prompted confused glances from both of the sisters. They'd tilt their heads briefly - Cassie being the first to pipe up, asking Dracmon "Laugh... cause we're rookies?" She'd question - to which she added "Ophi can get bigger than she is right now, and I think she already knows that Lucemon's big 'n tough, too." "Yeahhh, I dunno the hell kind of point you're trying to make, if it's any point at all." Ophelia agreed, raising an eyebrow at Dracmon, and folding her arms behind her head in a carefree fashion.
"The horn - Winter's Gasp, Paledramon had called it - I could use to help all the angels out there without needing to get up in Lucemon's face; even though I'd rather get up close and personal in a fight." She would gesture to the instrument in question, continuing "And even if it's a losing fight, I just want to get some practice in with my Azure Fang. I ain't going in there expecting to win against a Demon Lord of all things. I'd be in it to learn some new shit, and to help out." She really didn't know what the point that Dracmon was trying to make was - beyond it maybe just being him trying to fluff up his own ego or something, which she couldn't really give a damn about.
With Yuko's apology though, Ophelia would shrug a bit in her direction, and flash her a grin. "I mean, he might have a weird-ass sense of humor, but there's no problem right now, right?" Cassie seemed to be in agreement, nodding and giggling. "I mean, I could see why the size difference would be kind of funny, maybe!" She'd chirp with a small smile - to which Ophelia couldn't help a chuckle of her own. "Heh, yeah; I suppose it must look pretty funny, when I'm trying to size up digimon way bigger than me, huh?" She'd grin sheepishly, scratching the back of her head as her tail swished.
There being 'no problem' wouldn't last for long, though; as Dracmon began to boss around Cassie, and call her a 'mutated Gomamon'. The Gomamon-X in question would make a bewildered expression, blinking - visibly unsure of what to make of it, and looking perhaps a bit hurt. Ophelia, though, was quick to react - her fur beginning to bristle slightly as she growled at Dracmon. "Hey, Prissy-prick." She'd snarl at the Dracmon, her ears tilted back and tail lashing; looking less a cute cuddly lion now, and more the wild digimon that she was deep down. "Only thing keeping me from kicking your dumb ass and tearing you a new one here and now, is that we've got other things to worry about; but I'm not afraid to give you a piece of my mind if you think you can just fuck around with my sister. So with that in mind, you can either get your stringbean-manlet ass in line, or shut the hell up if a little bit of respect is too complicated of a concept for you to grasp."
This sudden show of aggression from Ophelia would prompt Cassie to move to the Spadamon's side to calm her down - a flipper gently stroking along Ophelia's back. "Hey, it's okay, Ophi..." She'd begin, nuzzling her head against the other's side as she softly spoke. The reassurance and comfort seemed to be enough to make Ophelia deflate a bit, exhaling in a rough rumble with a final flick of her tail. What Cassie said next, though... "If he wants to try anything weird or icky, he has to get past my noggin, first!" ... even with her giggle, the tone seemed rather calm in contrast to the fact that she was insinuating that she would headbutt him - which, her headbutts tended to hurt! Knowing this, this would prompt a startled laugh from Ophelia - the Spadamon glancing in Cassie's direction, before reaching down to ruffle the fur atop her head. "Damn, Cass; am I rubbing off on ya or something?" "Ehehehe, who knows~?"
The two sisters' brief moment of laughter would trail off, though, with Hiroyo and the squad, and Rasielmon's mention of what everyone was up to. The mention of someone having not made it, it'd make Cassie frown softly, sympathetically; and Ophelia couldn't help a small frown of her own, as well. The two sisters moved to Rasielmon's side to comfort her - Cassie hugging and nuzzling against her leg, whereas Ophelia reached up to try and squeeze one of Rasielmon's hands, both in a quiet show of comfort. Ophelia couldn't help but flash Dracmon another threatening glare, though, at his continued insensitivity. For being a 'Demon King', he sure didn't act like it; making her briefly think back to Leviamon's perceived dumbassery.
Soon though, the subject would change to the question of talking to Lucemon. Folding her arms behind her head, Ophelia would hum briefly. "Unless any of you guys think you might've done something that could piss him off, or if you guys think someone else could piss him off, then why can't all of us go out there to talk to him? He doesn't seem too impressed at all the angels out there, I don't imagine us lot would be too much more for him, if the worry was about any sort of perceived threat." Cassie nodded - adding "I'd rather talk to him than fight, anyhow... Less people that end up hurt, the better."

"Oh snap, she don't even need moves to take you apart!" Roger crowed as Ophelia spoke up as he weaved his head in a Z-Shape, a sharp distinctive clack of his beak punctuating each definitative point.
Morgan's eyes narrowed. Just moments before his brother had been sensibily scolding the Dracmon on not underestimating Lucemon and now he was encouraging in-fighting within the team? Was his brother really doing this right now? At least Hiroyo looked like she was mostly succeeding in trying to take the bigger picture seriously.
Morgan closed his eyes for a long moment and counted to ten before he opened them again.
A grim nod met the news of Seraphimon's demise. Morgan had seen the initial alert asking for assistance in finding the Great Angel last time, the recent transmission had included the tidbit that not everyone had made it out unharmed. At first the Fanbeemon had wondered if it referred only to a participant in the attempts to probe the Demon Lords' agenda.
Then the most recent announcements had been made. No loner was it only Rasielmon proving the briefings. The quality hadn't faltered. The inclusion of GranDracmon had been a surprise and it meant numbers were roughtly the same as they were before but it felt unorganized, less focus.
Morgan's impression of Seraphimon had been one of a 'mon that devouted themself to a singular purpose. Who had been a centerpoint for unity because of that focus.
He watched Ophelia and Cassie comfort Rasielmon silently while Hiroyo made a pained expression and she spoke sympathetic words.
"That's...that's awful. I'm sorry for your loss."
His eyes fell on the young woman as she spoke. Did she understand now how dangerous this all was?
As if she felt his gaze she turned her head to look at him, eyebrows lifting. If she turned her body to look then Roger's viewpoint would be forcibly shifted.
Maybe she had been thinking about them as a unit on some level. Maybe...
"Hey, Morgan, what're your thoughts?"
He gave himself a mental shake when he realized her lips were moving and he hadn't been listening.
"Sorry, what?" Hiroyo gave him a mildly worried look. He shook his head minutely. It wasn't an issue that they needed to get into right now.
"Should we go out as a group or just send a couple of us out?" She spoke slowly and he didn't grit his beak in irritation. He deserved it, it was his fault for not listening.
"As a group. Perhaps we-not You, Roger-should speak first since we have a shared point of contact." He didn't have to think at all about the first point, if worst came to worst than at the very least everyone being there meant a higher chance of someone getting away. The second part took a little thinking about. Hopefully hearing the name of someone that Lucemon was familiar with would encourage them to communication, the fact that the Demon Lord was not currently tearing apart the army was already a good sign but Morgan wanted as many advantages on the side of the Angels as he could get.
"Alright, I guess I'll make introductions then." Hiroyo turned from the Fanbeemon to look at the other members of the group. She paused and tapped her chin before she gestured at the groups of Ophelia-Cassie and Yuko-Dracmon. "I feel like this probably doesn't need to be said, but I don't want to be the only one talking and I don't think I should be either."
"If all of you speak, it will look be less noticeable if one of you falls quiet." Morgan remarked. He was surprised by the sensibility of her suggestion. "Furthermore, a line of questioning may occur to one of you that doesn't to the others."
"Right! And another thing, as far as giving information about ourselves we," she paused to glance at Roger and Morgan who each gave her a nod. "Yep! We are prepared to give out our names, if you want me to introduce the rest of you under aliases or something let me know."

"While true, this is our territory, even among the Demon Lords Lucemon is feared for their power," Rasielmon explained. While for the most part she was content to listen (and, in the case of Dracmon, ignore most of what he was saying), she figured a bit of explanation would help further prepare her heroes for their journey. "And as an angelic species in their own right, it isn't like we're unfamiliar with what they are capable of. Honestly, I wish they could be less stubborn sometimes. It's just like . . ." She trailed off, downcast.
A small smile spread across her face at the comfort Ophelia, Cassie, Hiroyo, and Yuko provided. "I never knew him like the others did, you know," she admitted, eyes averting towards the ground. "As far as archangels go, I'm somewhat of a newcomer to the position. For the longest time, they've kept their ranks to a triad, and even with my appointment Seraphimon was always too busy to associate much with me. I can't imagine how much more this must hurt Cherubimon and Ophanimon. They were the ones he was truly close to. Me, it's more like seeing a hero die, you know? It hurts, but there's that distance. I don't think I'll ever truly understand how they feel."
As Yuko apologized for Dracmon's stubbornness, Rasielmon sighed wistfully. "Hey. You're not the only one with one of those crashing on your couch, at least," she commented. There was the slightest hint of amusement to her voice, a gentle joke to slice through the pain with. "At least yours is still small. Ours is huge. And sheds everywhere. But at least for the time being, he's on our side."
It sounded like, with the exception of the Spadamon and Dracmon butting heads, everyone was on the same page here. Rasielmon steeled herself as she straightened her posture, her face returning to its usual serenity. "That's right. We can do this together," she explained, any undercurrent of nervousness in her voice swallowed up by her resolve. "I should be able to see it coming if our words will set Lucemon off. And if worst comes to worst? Well, just because I'm a seer doesn't mean I can't defend myself. Come, follow me." With that, Rasielmon stepped to the open window, leaping out of it without a care in the world. Slowly she hovered down, a trail of golden feathers following in her wake. Either this was the world's most inelegantly-timed prank, or the window was enchanted to slow one's descent.
As soon as Rasielmon touched down, an Angemon and a D'arcmon rushed to her side. They crossed their blade and staff, glaring daggers at Lucemon. Lucemon, unfortunately, wasn't very dissuaded. They simply leaped over the angelic army, touching down next to Rasielmon and her two guardians. With a simple, clean motion they grabbed Angemon and D'arcmon by their weapons, then flung the two behind them as carelessly as one would throw a coffee cup into the garbage. The two angels tumbled away, and the rest of the army closed ranks to circle in on Lucemon, Rasielmon, and any heroes who followed her arrival. "See? This is what I've been waiting for!" Lucemon said, clasping their hands with excitement. Their eyes shone brightly, only highlighted by their pale skin and golden hair. "And here I thought you'd just stay locked up in there til the end of time. At least one of you has the courtesy to come on out for some fresh air.
Now, come on. Surely you can help out with this boredom, right?"

Great, now Dracmon had pissed off the cute, yet oddly feisty and foul-mouthed lion cub. In fact, pissing people off was like the entire reason behind his very existence, yet the so-called Demon King didn’t seem to care one bit, simply continuing his one-man (one-mon?) ego trip. “Hold your Indramon, young lady! She was the one who offered to help. No need to get all ticked off about it. Bah! Xros generation Digimon… So entitled, I tell ya!” The undead Digimon ranted to nobody in particular, his big toothy smile turning into a big toothy frown.
Yuko had already apologized for her partner’s jerkish behavior, and Rasielmon accepted the apology, quipping about how they too had a bothersome imp in their hands, albeit much larger than little Dracmon there. “He’s small now, until he turns into a creepy ass clown with a reaper scythe. Hah.” The young Japanese delinquent quipped back, forcing herself to laugh to alleviate some of her stress. Whoever this Seraphimon guy was, his death had clearly had a heavy toll on all the angels. It was a high stakes game they were playing there and death was no laughing matter, which is why she was doubly annoyed at Dracmon for treating this whole thing so nonchalantly.
That said, the elephant in the room needed to finally be addressed… or rather, the big bad Demon Lord outside the room. The older Tamer, Hiroyo, suggested that they should all go talk to him. Yuko turned to her own partner Digimon at that, looking at him with narrowed eyes. “Do you promise not to do or say anything that’ll piss Lucemon off? I’m serious about this!” “Lighten up a little! Lucy’s a fun loving guy. Just like me!” Dracmon happily assured her, making a victory sign with his fingers. Even the unblinking eyeball stuck in his palm looked happy, somehow. “Just like you, huh? That only makes me more worried…” The multicolor-haired girl sighed.
Soon, Rasielmon and the ragtag crew she had assembled descended upon the field where a very bored Lucemon awaited them. Literally descended! Thankfully, their descent was slowed down by an unforeseen power, but it still made for a rough, undignified landing on Yuko’s part, who landed on her rump with Dracmon falling into her lap, making a squeaky sound akin to a chew toy. Lucemon quickly approached them, grabbing the two angels who stepped to their defense and effortlessly tossing them behind his head. The newbie Tamer gulped at the sheer display of power, but as always her partner kept a positive outlook. Way too positive in fact…
“Nyahahahahahaha!! Man, they flew away like ragdolls! That’s classic Lucemon for ya! Cla-ssic!” Dracmon rolled on the ground with laughter, holding his pale stomach. Once the tiny vampire had recuperated somewhat, he got up and walked up to the much bigger Demon Lord, waving casually. “Lucemon, old buddy, old pal. It’s me, Jokah-sama, the greatest clown that ever clowned! Although, my current form lacks glamor, as you can see… Never mind that! If you wanna be entertained, you’ve come to the right mon!”

"She offered to heal you, cause some bright lights were making you uncomfortable. Not to be some sort of goddamn servant," Ophelia retorted to Dracmon with a low rumble; tail flicking. "You're the one who got entitled, on top of thinking that you can just fucking insult her, and not deal with the consequences. You're less a king, and more a brat who's fresh outta In-Training stage with noone to tell you 'no', if you ask me." Though Ophelia had been calmed down enough to not immediately jump Dracmon, that didn't make her words any less biting. Cassie would simply sigh a bit- scratching the back of her head, and attempting a smile towards Yuko. Neither sister held any ill will towards Yuko for Dracmon's behavior, after all.
As for Seraphimon, though... "... Even if you're new, it sounds like you guys were still a bit of a family," Ophelia mused, gently bunting against Rasielmon's side. Cassie slowly nodded with, chirping in "And even if you don't really understand... That doesn't mean you guys can't be there for each other, yeah? It's sad when someone dies - regardless of relation. But even if you're sad, having other people with you makes it a little easier - even if they can't empathize with it the same way you do..."
They seemed to be in agreement about going down there to talk to Lucemon together, at least. Ophelia folded her arms behind her head in a casual fashion as she glanced over to Hiroyo and her two insect compatriots, mentioning "I don't mind if you introduce us by name, and I'm down to talk, too, once introductions are out of the way." Frankly? She didn't see the problem in being introduced by name - she probably wasn't the only Ophelia in this entire world, and Cassie likely wasn't the only Cassandra, either, so why go by aliases? Cassie seemed to be in agreement with this notion, nodding and smiling brightly as she chirped "I'm alright with it, too!"
Rasielmon, too, seemed to be in higher spirits now - the angel showing resolve as she made for the window, and... Jumped out? The two sisters couldn't help but be equal parts puzzled, and impressed; being that Rasielmon was a feline digimon, they weren't too afraid that the angel might hurt herself. They had been expecting more golden-keyhole-portal fuckery though, admittedly; even if the idea of jumping down from the window sounded pretty impressive! "Hehehe; I wanna try that, too, Ophi!" Cassie mentioned to Ophelia with a wide grin, flippers clapping - to which Ophelia couldn't help but grin back. "Alright, lemme pick you up, then."
Cassie would devolve into her in-training form - Pukamon - and jump up into Ophelia's arms, the Spadamon carrying her easily. "Hehehe, you ready, Cass?" "Yeah, yeah!" Cassie would clap her front flippers excitedly, as Ophelia got a running start; before proceeding to jump out the window, right behind Rasielmon, Cassie whooping excitedly all the while!
Regardless of whether there was a slow fall effect from the window or not, Ophelia would land deftly on her feet alongside Rasielmon; being the feline that she was. Once landed, Cassie would jump down from Ophelia's arms, digivolving back into her usual Gomamon-X form - just in time for the two of them to see Lucemon's approach..!
Cassie was a little intimidated, honestly; especially in seeing Lucemon fling away the poor Angemon and D'arcmon who had come to protect Rasielmon...! Ophelia, though...
... Ophelia couldn't help but focus more on the feel of Lucemon's signal; the same signal that she had felt, when she and Cassie had first bore witness to them. They were a digimon, just like Ophelia. And yet? They were powerful. Much, much, more powerful than she was. It didn't scare her, though; much like how she reacted with a certain subconscious excitement before, that same excitement made her core skip a beat - her tailtip quivering briefly, her breath picking up a hair... Ophelia didn't even notice that Cassie had moved to check up on the two angels that Lucemon had flung aside, until Dracmon spoke up; breaking her from her thoughts, just in time to pick up Lucemon's words.
So Lucemon was... Bored? Ophelia's ears twitched briefly as she came back to reality, registering what everyone was saying now. Marching on up to the Angels' Sanctum certainly sounded like one hell of a way to relieve boredom, but... She wouldn't say anything in the meantime - letting Hiroyo handle introductions before they began talking. Instead, Ophelia couldn't help but amuse herself with wondering what Dracmon's idea of 'entertainment' must be - her own train of thought leading to the thought of punting Dracmon, given his behavior.
Cassie, similarly, would let Hiroyo handle the talking for now; instead checking on the Angemon and D'arcmon, softly asking them "Are you two alright?" as she made to try and help them up the best that a little seal such as herself could.

The trio of humans and bugs hung back for a moment as they watched everyone else drop out the window. Hiroyo flexed her fingers and briefly thought of how and where she would secure ropes and pitons for rappelling down the side and all the ways stepping out a window so high up could go wrong. And that was only getting down to the meeting point. There was the entire conversation to consider as well and all the ways that could go wrong. Dracmon was quick to give insult, and Ophelia was quick to rise to violence and maybe that wasn't so bad but- Hiroyo bit her lip, eyes unfocused as she tried to plan ahead. Would it even matter what she said? She herself was a risk, what if she said or did the wrong thing?
What if she got in everyone's way again?
"Hey, hey, hey!" Roger's head collided with the side of her face. She jerked back to awareness and reached up to touch her face, the scold on her lips dying away as she gently probed her cheek with her fingers. He hadn't hit her hard, just enough to wake her out of her daze. "You outta your head yet?"
"Yeah, I'm here." Her eyes slid to the little bits of Roger she could see out of the corner of her eyes, her lips shifted into an apologetic smile. "I was thinking of how this might go."
Roger snorted and gave a flick of his antenna. His tone was playful when he spoke. "You're going to hurt yourself you keep that up. Just do what feels right, we'll back you up."
"Or tell you if it is a tactically unsound plan." Morgan added as he hovered in front of the window. He was looking down at the ground, gauging the distance between where they were and where they were going. "If you have concerns about the drop one of us can move up a stage but judging by the others having safetly landed it seems unnecesscary."
"Hey, I thought Roger was the impatient one." She teased as she stepped up to the window. There were still a few of the floating golden feathers that had trailed Rasielmon's descent marking the path and the red head stepped into them with an eager grin. She loved heights and the easy way the window's enchantment lowered her to the ground was thrilling.
Her feet touched the ground and Roger leaned out from her shoulder to try to snap his beak on a feather and drop it into Hiroyo's purse if he got the chance.
Or at least that was the plan, the sight of Lucemon straight up tossing Angemon and Darcmon away did much to drive away the light-heartedness that the featherfall had brought on. Hiroyo squared her shoulders, picked up her chin, and strode over to the gathering with a politely friendly smile. Morgan flew over her head, hoving a few feet above so he could make a quick move if necesscary. Roger straightened up on her shoulders when she stopped a little a head of the rest of the group.
"You cannot be anyone other than Lucemon." She smiled brightly at him before folding her hands in front of her and bowing in the traditional Japanese business-greeting way. When she raised her head again her smile was still fixed on her face, not a threat nor overtly friendly, just politely neutral. "I'm sorry, I have the benefit of having met a mutual acquaintence of the non angelic type recently. Let me put us all on even footing! I'm sure you know Rasielmon already, I'm Oda Hiroyo, this is Roger and Morgan. Here we have Ophelia and Cassie. Also present is Dracmon, and Himura Yuko."
She gestured to each entity as she introduced them, drawing on her faint memories of her father meeting with business associates. She hesistated before giving out Yuko's name, the girl hadn't clearly declared whether she was okay with the idea or not but in the end Hiroyo just went with it. It'd be weird to introduce everyone but one member of the group, right? She pressed her sweating palms to her pants and spoke again.
"What brings you here?" Straight to the point!

As most of the crew gathered around Lucemon, Cassie broke ranks to head over to the fallen angels. Angemon simply remained prone on the ground, while D'arcmon groggily forced herself to one knee. "They've got one hell of an arm," she breathed, equal parts dazed, offended, and impressed. She tried to get back onto her feet, blade in hand, but as soon as she did so a severe bout of vertigo kicked on. Her first footstep literally missed the ground, and before she knew it D'arcmon was back on the floor again. "Yeah. Yeah, okay. Waiting down here's not a bad idea, I guess," she admitted. Angemon muttered an agreement, nodding from his own laying position. They didn't get paid nearly enough for this.
Lucemon laughed along with Dracmon, even as Rasielmon shot the two of them an irritated glare. "It was pretty incredible, wasn't it? Oh, but you flatter me~. That wasn't even my best toss," they said. They stood on their tiptoes, shading their eyes with their hand and squinting as they looked past the sun. A small, satisfied grin spread across their face. "Yep! That Dianamon's still in orbit up there. Hoo boy, I really outdid myself with that one. Hope she lands sometime soon."
As they brought their focus back to the assembled party, Dracmon was quick to take their attention with more boasting. "Jokah-sama, Jokah-sama . . . aha! Yes, of course I remember you! You were the one who plated Barbamon's entire palace in fools' gold, weren't you? It took him at least three incarnations to finish scraping it all off! I'd say it was priceless, but I'm sure I'd get an earful about how pricey it actually was. Great to see you again!"
The next to step up to the plate was Hiroyo, who looked like she was trying to compress herself into a tiny box and sounded like she was talking to the Emperor of Japan. Lucemon tried their best to take her greeting seriously. They really did! But it was the verbal equivalent of wearing a poorly-fitting suit to seem dignified. They barely made it to the end of Hiroyo's introduction when they burst into laughter, grabbing onto Rasielmon's shoulder to avoid doubling over. "Ah, you are just adorable,~" they said. The way they tossed their hair while laughing, the warmth to his voice, and the way the light seemed to light them up probably made that statement less condescending and more appealing.
Unfortunately, before they could say anything else, they promptly froze up. They tapped their foot in irritation, rolling their eyes and muttering something about no fun being allowed. Finally, Lucemon turned to Hiroyo, an apologetic smile on their face. "Ah, my apologies," they said. "My sister had a few words for me about that little comment. Not to worry: I'm quite used to it by now.
So! I think that's enough small talk. Why don't you all show me what you can do? It's a lovely day here in the skies, after all. And we even have an audience! It'd be a wonderful time, don't you think?"
"What?" Rasielmon looked shocked. "Lucemon, we've come to talk. You can't just fight people-"
"Your first mistake, my dear Rasielmon, is thinking there's anything I can't do." Another warm laugh, another winning smile. Rasielmon practically had to avert her eyes from it. "But I suppose it doesn't have to be a fight. Why, I'd be up for challenges of all kinds! Although now that you mention it, a fight does sound like a pretty great idea.
Can it be a fight?" Their eyes lit up with excitement. Who could say no to that face?

The older Tamer handled the introductions, naming the Digimon first and Yuko last, who waved her hand with some hesitation when her name came up. Standing in front of a real Demon Lord… his aura of sheer dread was so prominent, she could have sworn she just saw menacing kanji floating around him. She didn’t need to be told that Lucemon was powerful, he was like power personified!
Hiroyo had tried her best to sound formal, but the effeminate fallen angel found her attempt laughable. Yuko sighed and placed her hand on the other woman’s shoulder. “It’s okay. I think you did an alright job, but I guess trying to kiss up to him isn’t gonna work. And hey, being called adorable ain’t such a bad thing.” The young delinquent tried to cheer the redhead up.
It was surprisingly Dracmon who was having better luck getting on Lucemon’s good side (did he even have a good side?) The tiny vampire blushed under his mask when the Demon Lord of Pride recounted one of his more infamous pranks. “D’awww, you remember! It also took me at least three incarnations to recover from Barbamon’s Pandemonium Lost, but it was totally worth it! The look on the old tengu’s face when he realized it wasn’t real gold was indeed priceless! He was almost on the verge of crying, kehehehehehehe!” The demonic prankster cackled like a maniac.
That was when things got… tricky. It turned out that Lucemon was still bored and wanted to get some action. Rasielmon was the first to try to dissuade him, followed by Yuko. “W-wait, can we talk about this? We came here to avoid fighting.” The younger Tamer pointed out, but it looked like Lucemon’s mind was already set.
Dracmon, still recuperating from his earlier laughing fit, put his thumb and index finger on his round chin, as if thinking. “You want a challenge, huh Lucy? How about a low-level Digimon battle royal? You can take us all on even in Rookie form, so it shouldn’t be unfair to you. It’d be less a real fight and more a harmless scuffle between children, so Rasielmon here won’t complain about us breaking her nice furniture.” The vampiric Digimon suggested, before putting his open palm in front of where his real eye would be, facing forward. Basically it was his way of winking. “Besides, we both know that your Rookie form is a real cutie, so why not give the ladies here some eye candy? It might help them unwind.”

Cassie frowned deeply in sympathy at the two angels - being able to see that they were both a bit beat up and dazed from being thrown like that; neither of them able (nor really interested, likely due to the aforementioned being dazed) to rise to their feet. Frowning softly, the Gomamon-X would think for a moment, before deciding to prepare her signature bubbles; using Bubble Aid on the two angels (eyeballing out which one needed the third bubble most all the while) to give them a brief pick-me-up.
"There you go," She'd murmur softly, sympathetically, before flopping down next to the two angels; nuzzling both of them in a friendly fashion, and attempting a bright smile. "I know I'm just a rookie right now, but I hope that helped you both feel at least a bit better!" It wouldn't hurt if she hung around these angels until they were feeling better, yeah?
Ophelia, on the other hand, would be focused on the exchange that Lucemon, Dracmon, and Hiroyo were all having - tail swishing in a somewhat antsy fashion as she listened. Just sitting around and listening clearly wasn't her thing - but that had been the plan that Hiroyo stated, right? At least until introductions were over with, that is - then they were free to talk and ask questions as necessary, not that Ophelia had any big ideas for anything to ask Lucemon at the moment.
Dracmon didn't seem to get that memo, though - given his initial greeting to Lucemon. Though the demon-angel didn't seem to care all that much, seeming to recognize Dracmon, in fact! Ophelia blinked briefly as the two conversed about pranks, though wouldn't dwell on it for very long; not exactly interested in Dracmon's life story, or his relation to Lucemon or the other Demon Lords. The only notion she'd really pay him, is that he sounded less a king, and more some sort of court jester - which only raised questions on why Dracmon called himself a king, anyhow!
Instead of worrying about that though, Ophelia would focus more on Hiroyo's greeting to Lucemon, and the introduction that she made for everyone; giving Lucemon a brief nod as Hiroyo introduced her to the Demon Lord. Lucemon was a bit less impressed by this - and seemed more amused in Hiroyo's attempt to seem professional and respectful than anything! Ophelia would make a slight face at Hiroyo being called adorable for it, though - even with Lucemon's demeanor, she wasn't sure if the way Lucemon said it was condescending in nature or not; though decided against questioning it.
Not that she'd have much of a chance to question it, anyhow - Lucemon taking a brief moment to apologize to Hiroyo for their momentary distraction, before suggesting the idea of a fight! This would almost immediately grab Ophelia's attention - her eyes snapping to the Demon Lord, and her tail briefly stiffening, before its antsy swishing returned in full force; her claws idly flexing. Even if it were just everyone at Rookie stage, as Dracmon would suggest in response, the idea of getting to actually flex her muscles in a fight against a Demon Lord excited her greatly - and it was obvious, in the way her body language almost instantly shifted at the suggestion of it.
After the past while of silence, now would be when Ophelia would finally speak up - unable to help grinning toothily. "Oh hell yeah, I'd be down to spar a little, Rookie form or not!" Ophelia would practically growl (Or was it more a purr?) in excitement, fidgeting in place as she stretched her muscles in preparation, turning her attention to Lucemon proper. "I want to see what a Demon Lord can do, if you ask me; and if a friendly spar is all you want, I'd be down for it, even if it's just me 'n you!" She didn't mind if Hiroyo and Yuko were disinterested or anxious about fighting - she'd take Lucemon on herself in a spar, if she had to!
Cassie, still at the side of the two angels that Lucemon had tossed before, would make a somewhat anxious expression at this - Ophelia, fighting against a Demon Lord...?? That, uh... "Ophi, are you sure this is a good idea...?" The little Gomamon-X would question - to which Ophelia shrugged. "I mean, I don't mind if I get my ass handed to me - it wouldn't be the first time, heh!" Ophelia laughed, grinning confidently and flicking her tail. "As long as it stays a friendly spar, and as long as you stick around to heal me up after we're done, I don't see any reason to worry - and I've been damn curious ever since we first saw Lucemon coming up here!"
