Much as Jokermon began stumbling back to avoid any friendly-fire, Ophelia would be quick to change course as well; her feline sense of balance, her twisting tail, and the slight boost from Invigorating Waters all lending to it quite well. Bouncing back a couple paces, Ophelia would easily avoid any accidental injuries; though her tail would be unable to help a flick of slight frustration at it all. One would think that her honed accuracy and speed would help land a hit on the wily fallen angel, on one hand; though on the other hand, Lucemon was still a Demon Lord, in the end. Not to mention that their wings lended them an extra amount of maneuverability, that Ophelia herself lacked... Hm... She couldn't help a wince of sympathy, however, in seeing the Hippogriffomon fall; struck by the barrage of feathers. The poor beast didn't deserve to be abandoned and left to be injured so quickly; and at first, Ophelia and Cassie both were equally ready to come to its aid, as it impacted on the ground. Lucemon was quicker to come to tend to the Hippogriffomon's wounds, though; and seemed to win over its trust quite easily, in fact! Ophelia watched as Lucemon - riding upon its back - would take to the skies alongside Hippogriffomon; and she couldn't help but wonder if it wasn't a bit redundant - for a flying digimon to ride a flying digimon - even with the beast's visibly enhanced speed. She didn't quite have a chance to think too deeply on it, however, when Gris and Blanc would come together to perform their attack; coming down closer to ground level, and sweeping the whole battlefield with a laser! Cassie would squeak with brief fear, before Rasielmon flung herself over them to protect them; and she would be quick to huddle close to the angel, to avoid the attack. Ophelia, though, didn't have that luxury of protection, and no real chance to dodge; and instead would have to steel herself for it. Clouds of icy fog spewing from the vents on her armor once more, they would begin to settle on her fur and armor in a use of Frost Veil; quickly freezing and hardening in an additional layer of protection, as she raised her arms to protect her face, and brace herself against the coming attack! Ophelia growled low in pain as the attack landed; pushing her back a short distance, and briefly searing into her. However, the Frost Veil did well in protecting her from a good portion of it; blunting most of the damage and pain. It was a reminder as to what Lucemon said before, about finding fighting to their level 'more worthy'; making her briefly think for a moment, as she eyeballed the two clones. Lucemon was still high up in the air; leaving them surely out of her reach, but... These two were a little closer range, which made her wonder... ... Could she try something cheeky, against them, such as... A card? Ophelia would take in a deep breath as she brandished Azure Fang, and ran at the two clones - the weapon taking on the appearance of a claymore, all the whilst. Once Jokermon's attack concluded, and she started getting close, though? She would let out a battleshout at the both of them - breathing out a cloud of paralyzing gas from her Gazimon card all the while! Hoping that the duo would get caught and locked up in the gas for even just a moment, she would swing her claymore at the two of them in a basic cleave..! Cassie, all the whilst, would be noticing that everyone was starting to take up some damage. Coming out from behind Rasielmon, she would begin to blow three bubbles - each one seeming to be filled with faintly glowing water - in a use of Bubble Aid! "Here, everyone!" She'd call; bouncing one bubble to Ophelia, another to Jokermon, and the third one to MetallifeKuwagamon. Upon impact, the bubble - much like with Invigorating Waters before - would burst, splashing the three with what was essentially liquidized beneficial data! The water would quickly absorb into their bodies, easing any pains and aches, whilst any excess water would quickly evaporate. The effect might be reduced for Jokermon and Ophelia - and even moreso for MetallifeKuwagamon - but Cassie would still help, however she can!
- Ophelia avoids any friendly fire, and uses Frost Veil to soften the damage from the laser attack. - Next, Ophelia comes in to attack the clones - using the Gazimon Card's Paralyze Breath on them - and attempting to strike them with a basic attack with a wide swing of her Azure Fang! - Cassie uses Bubble Aid, to heal Jokermon, Ophelia, and MetallifeKuwagamon. - Tempo rises to 4 stacks, and Invigorating Waters wears off. Ophelia's LogMove Used:[ABILITY; RAM] Frost Veil: A layer of frost freezes over Ophelia's fur/armor, hardening it and protecting her from outside effects. For 2 turns, she gets a 50% defense increase, and is protected from both naturally-occurring environmental/field effects, and environmental/field effects produced thru moves. [3 Turn Cooldown] Card Used:DA-04 - Gazimon Type: Digimon Rank: Bronze Duration: 1 Post Paralyze Breath: The target Digimon spews a noxious gas, locking up the muscles of any who stand in it. Passives:[PASSIVE] Prominence Native: Having been raised in the coldest parts of Prominence, Ophelia has increased durability against conditions of extreme cold, as well as ice/cold-based attacks.
[PASSIVE; RAM] Tempo: Ophelia is a scrapper who prefers getting up close and personal - and the more she fights, the easier it gets for her as she gets into the rhythm of it. For each turn that she makes a direct melee attack, she gains 1 stack of Tempo at the end of that turn - and for each turn that she doesn't make a melee attack, she loses 1 stack of Tempo at the end. She gets a 6% attack and accuracy increase for each stack she gets, capping at 30% attack and accuracy at 5 stacks.
[PASSIVE; RAM GIGA] Lionheart: Ophelia is stubborn, willful, and passionate - especially in the heat of battle. Those who try to influence her mind or emotions find it difficult to overcome this side of her - and more often than not, she powers thru from sheer will, and the sheer anger at someone trying to control her like such. As a result, she is highly resistant - if not outright immune - to effects that influence her mind, emotions, or disposition, such as mind control, taunts, rage, fear, or pacification- unless she allows another digimon to influence her in this way. Effects:Tempo - 4/5 Stacks; 18% increase to Attack and Accuracy this turn, 24% next turn Invigorating Waters - 2/2 Turns; 7.5%(??) increase to Attack and Speed Passing Trump - Jokermon's Passive; Slightly increased accuracy and damage Cooldowns:Winter's Gasp - Once Per Thread Ice Buckler - 1/3 Frost Veil - 0/3 Cards Used [1/3]:Gazimon Cassie's LogMove Used: [ABILITY] Bubble Aid: Cassie produces 3 bubbles filled with faintly glowing water, that soothes and heals. Upon producing a bubble, she can choose to either launch it at an ally - in which case the bubble pops on impact, and splashes the ally with the healing waters - or to leave the bubble floating, where Cassie or an ally can choose to pop it as a free action on their own time. Enemies cannot pop the bubble except for with a named attack, but can still move the bubble around or drag it with them. An ally can be affected by multiple bubbles from the same use of Bubble Aid at once/in succession - though the subsequent bubbles will not be as effective as the last. If left unpopped, the bubbles last 2 turns before popping on their own, and splashing the nearest digimon within melee range of the bubble. [3 Turn Cooldown]
Passives: [PASSIVE] The Eager Medic: Cassie has natural potential as a healer, and her bodyshape and natural strength lends well to devastating tackles - but her bodyshape also leads her to be a little awkward on land, and in non-snowy or non-icy conditions. Her healing is 30% stronger than a normal digimon's, and her attacks 15%, but she's 30% slower - except for when in water, or on snow/ice.
Cooldowns: Invigorating Waters - 1/3 Bubble Aid - 0/3

'Lucemon certainly has style!' Hiroyo thought as she watched them heal the Hippogryphmon and convince it to serve them. The Demon Lords she'd met so far were so cool! She felt a little guilty for thinking that way but Lucemon was definately fitting to be the embodiment of Pride! Not only were they suave but they'd even made neatly color-coded clones of themself! Clones who were currently down to two and one was picking the other up and - Hiroyo's eyes widened and she very quickly went with Yuko's tug into the shelter of Rasielmon's wings. The red haired tamer shielded her eyes from the blinding light and then straightened up, her fingers never uncurling from the digivice in her hands. "Thank you! I uh, kinda froze up for a moment there." She rubbed at the back of her head with an abashed expression. It didn't take her long to remember that Yuko was the only one she should thank and she looked up to study Rasielmon worriedly. The beam had looked impressive, and while Lucemon's attacks hadn't wiped anyone off the face of the battlefield immediately yet there was definately something werid going on with how their moves affected the different levels! "You too Rasielmon, are you okay? You're strong, but I can't imagine that'd be easy to withstand!" 'Speaking of eduring attacks-' she peeked around the Angel when she had the chance to check on MetallifeKuwagamon. Her chest loosened as she saw him climb to his feet and take his pose-but anything else she wanted to watch was disrupted by the sudden speedy dash of a shape directly at them! She shrieked and jerked behind Rasielmon again only to stare in disbelief as Jokermon hid behind his tamer. She pointed a shaking finger at him, her voice overcome by her disbelief at the situation. "You! You-you-you! How shameless can you get, leaving Ophelia and Metta out to fight while you run and hide?! Aren't you suppose to be a demon king? where's your pride!?"
MetallifeKuwagamon smirked beneath his mask as the beam of light arced away from Lucemon Gris to tunnel through Noir's body. He didn't quite trust the way that the clone's remains fell apart and then stuck around but he very abruptly had much bigger things to deal with. Namely the two remaining Lucemon clones teaming up to unleash a truely massive laser on their surroundings. 'Hiroyo!' The composite digimon's attention was pulled immediately to his tamer only to watch as the other human on the sidelines pulled her back behind Rasielmon's sheltering wings. The brief distraction cost him time to dodge himself. He threw his arms up in front of his face and braced and the laser didn't pause as it continued to circle through him. The moment it's full force was on him his arms were flung wide and he was sent flying back, his armor scraping on the tiles. Slowly he sat up. His movements were careful, ginger. Despite the still like-new condition of his armor the flesh portions of his body were clearly damaged. He clenched his jaw and forced himself up onto his feet at Jokermon's order. He hated to listen to everyone else but the arrangement of occurances couldn't have been more perfect. He lifted his eyes to the sky where Lucemon and Hippogryphmon rose above all others, the only living things with nothing but sky stretching out behind them. He grinned fiercely beneath his mask. The earlier lasers were child's play compared to what he knew he was capable of deep down. The power that lurked within this form more powerful then the ones his pieces had used before. The lion and jester would expect him to rise into the air to give choice but he had other plans in mind. Feet shoulder length apart. Hands together, fingers pointed at those dots in the sky. The jems on his body flashed brightly once and then dimmed, the energy transferred into the barrels on the ends of his hands. It built up as Jokermon cast his magic then ran away. It built up as Ophelia spewed noxious fumes over the clones. It built up as Cassie's ball of water reached him, taking the worst of the edge off his hurt and pain. "You aren't the only one who can cause property damage! Vacuum BLAST!" With a cry he released it- ten beams of light and heat combining into one that soared through the sky with such force and pressure that even the air itself was forced aside. One long continuous beam of light and pain that lanced through the heaves toward Lucemon and Hippogryphmon. The beam died as abruptly as it fired and the wind rushed back in to fill the deadspace. Regardless of whether Lucemon and Hippogryphmon had been hit or not they would find the maelstrom difficult to deal with. Each wingstroke a struggle, even a glide would be slowed by the chaotic force of the four winds as they sought equilibrium. And from below, rising on his jets and with his own personal slipstream to stablize his flight and lend him speed was MetallifeKuwagamon, fist cocked and aimed to smash into Lucemon's face and send the Demon Lord plummeting back to earth. Combat LogMetallifeKuwagamon eats laser and skids across the pavement. Gets back up at Jokermon's demand and starts charging. Waits for Jokermon and Ophelia's attacks to resolve. Gets a little bit of TLC from Cassie Fires Vacuum Blast at Lucemon and Hippogryphmon. Follows up with a basic attack punch at Lucemon's face. MOVES Passives Tailwind [Passive] - This digimon is followed by the wind as if the air itself was a loyal pet. It’s faster than your average Ultimate as a result.
Actives Vacuum Blast - MetallifeKuwagamon slaps his hands together to focus his lasers on a massive, singular attack. Instead of firing as laser ‘bullets’ he fires all of his lasers in a continuous manner, the kind of sustained beam you would expect from a laser. This beam is a twenty feet in circumference can reach targets a half mile away. It deals massive damage to those in the blast and temporarily displaces the air that was in its path. Upon the end of this move the air rushes back into the Vacuum, causing turbulent winds and decreasing the agility of all fliers by a small amount for the following turn. Four turn cooldown

Rasielmon recoiled from the force of the blow, but she refused to let herself fall. She thrust her oversized claws right into the ground and flared her wings to hold her balance, even as the full force of Lucemon's beam seared her. She grit her teeth to hold back her shouts of pain, but it was visible from the way her eyes widened, then contracted sharply. Nevertheless, as Hiroyo checked in on her, she forced a smile. "I'm alright," she assured Hiroyo, even as smoke rose up from her back. "The beam was powerful indeed, but it wasn't very focused. Had they kept it held onto a single target, though, we could have been in serious trouble. Keep an eye out, and don't let that happen to you."
"Hey, I'm supposed to be giving the battle advice here," Lucemon complained, watching from their perch high in the sky. "Besides, while your perspective is correct for minimizing risk, it also minimizes opportunity." Almost as if on cue, Jokermon's magic circle flared up. It destabilized Lucemon Gris and Lucemon Blanc, leaving them in a similar silhouetted condition to their darkened counterpart below. They, too, started to reform, only for Ophelia's paralytic breath to leave them stuck in placen. Her claymore was all it took to dispel them entirely, cleaving through their re-solidified forms as if they were actual Digimon. They split clean in half, then disappeared in matching puffs of smoke.
"Well done, well done!" Lucemon said, giving a brief round of applause. "But never discount your foes. They may return right when you least expect them!" As if on cue Lucemon Noir finished reforming, only to immediately unfurl back into a nexus of shadowy energy. The nexus swirled around itself, then lanced out to pierce through Jokermon. Whether it hit or missed, the attack would then bounce towards the newest target to join the battle: Cassie.
Lucemon themselves remained high in the sky, raising an eyebrow as they noticed MetallifeKuwagamon charging. They hopped off of Hippogriffmon's back, shooing it away, then proceeded to hunker down into a fighting stance. The only thing moving was their wings, keeping them airborne as they stared MetallifeKuwagamon down. Presumably they were preparing themselves for another dodge, or perhaps even a counter to MetallifeKuwagamon's technique.
Or maybe they could just end up leaning into the attack, slowly fading from view as the beam entirely washed over them. "Now do you see the power your new form possesses?" Lucemon asked, voice raised so they could be heard over the rush of energy. When the light faded they were still standing, but their regally-maintained outfit was covered in scuffs and tears. "Untrained, unfocused. But with quite the power-"
Before Lucemon could finish yet another ramble, they were suddenly yanked away. The destruction of all nearby air created a vacuum, and Lucemon was being pulled right out of the sky as a result! "And with quite a few surprises, too!" they exclaimed as they were pulled along. It seemed that whereas before the pull was involuntary, now Lucemon was moving fully along with it. Trying to fly would simply be a disorienting struggle: instead of fighting the unstable air currents, they just let themselves be carried along by them. It was the path of least resistance, and let them focus entirely on MetallifeKuwagamon's approach instead.
As MetallifeKuwagamon moved to punch them in the face, Lucemon caught their fist in their hand. Now both of them would be getting dragged around the unstable air currents, and Lucemon was fairly confident they'd be better at handling the confusion than MetallifeKuwagamon would. "With proper training, I'm sure you can squeeze out twice the power in half of the time. Remember how this power feels and try to match it, again and again." With that said they began spinning in place, aiming to fling MetallifeKuwagamon right back down at Ophelia.
In case MetallifeKuwagamon had any ideas about catching themselves in midair, Lucemon whistled sharply. Hippogriffmon would come charging down from the clouds, aiming to spear the falling MetallifeKuwagamon right into Ophelia. And to think Jokermon just gave such an advantage away!
Combat Log: Jokermon destabilizes Lucemon Gris and Lucemon Noir with his magical circle attack, Ophelia uses a paralyzing technique to re-solidify them, and her claymore cleaves clean through them. Two of the three clones have now left the battlefield! The third clone finishes restabilizing, then reforms itself into a spear of darkness. The spear lances first torwards Jokermon, then afterwards bounces towards Cassie. Lucemon themselves shoos Hippogriffmon away, sparing him pain as they lean directly into MetallifeKuwagamon's attack. They are impressed by its power and trickiness, but rather than struggle against the vacuum decide to adapt a more passive mindset to prepare a counterattack. They catch MetallifeKuwagamon's fist and try to fling them right at Ophelia. Hippogriffmon comes crashing out of the skies, trying to expedite the process by spearing MetallifeKuwagamon right into Ophelia.

Jokermon let out a long, relieved sigh as liquidized beneficial data washed over him from Cassie’s healing bubble, recovering at least some of his former strength. “Ahhhh… I feel like a new mon! I knew I made the right decision in hiring you as the Demon King’s personal handmaid, Ms. Cassandra.”“She did it to help you, jerkwad, she’s not your servant!” Yuko scolded and bonked the clown lightly on the head. The abuse didn’t stop there, as Hiroyo also had some choice words for the self-proclaimed Demon King. “Hey now, it’s rude to point your finger at someone. I was just being pragmatic.” The devilish jester defended himself, before looking up at the still airborne Lucemon. “Oh, fine. If it’s feats of arms that impress the mighty Demon Lord, then feats of arms he shall get! I’ll show him what true pride looks like!” He declared with newfound determination. It was at that point that Lucemon’s darkest clone finished reforming, and began transforming into a new form. “Looks like that little boy wants to dance again. You know what that means, don’t you?” Jokah said, turning to his Tamer with a wide grin. Yuko felt her hand get warmer, as her Digivice radiated power, not unlike what had happened back during her first day in the Digital World. The young delinquent smiled back and nodded in understanding. “Go get them, you weirdo!”
“Jokermon, Digivolve to…” The jester was enveloped in crimson light, his foolish outfit bursting and turning inside out, changing shape into a set of colorful, long garments covering his elongated legs and arms, while a bullfighter’s vest and a set of bat-like wings hugged his skeletal torso. His smiling lips peeled to reveal sharp, vampiric fangs, while his hat fell off to reveal an extremely spiky, orange-haired reverse pompadour. “Matadormon!” He loudly announced the name of his new form, as a beak-shaped muzzle and a pair of pointy, purple shades materialized on his face. Lucemon Noir transformed into an ebon spear and shot itself towards him, but Matadormon easily slided out of harm’s way. “Ahaha! So fast, so graceful, this form is so espléndido!” The Undead-type Digimon laughed haughtily, but upon seeing the enemy taking a turn to hit Cassie instead, his pointy shades shone. “No, señor. I’m afraid I can’t let you harm my lovely handmaid.” Matadormon dashed forward, moving even faster than MetallifeKuwagamon, getting between Noir and Cassie, and trying to deflect the former’s spear attack with a high kick from his blade-shaped foot. “Olé!”Regardless of the outcome, the vampiric bullfighter would follow up with a proper attack; He twirled around his heel, letting his long, flowing garments wave around his slick form in a near mesmerizing manner, perhaps distracting from the set of five hidden rapiers that peeked out of his long sleeve, their razor-sharp edges shining. “Suerte… de Capote!” Matadormon shouted, shooting those rapiers straight at the enemy. OOC Notes: - Is healed a little bit by Cassie’s Bubble Aid. - Digivolves into Matadormon. - Dodges Lucemon Noir’s attack thanks to his very high speed, then uses that same speed to also try to deflect Noir’s attack against Cassie using a basic kicking attack. - Uses Suerte de Capote against Lucemon Noir. Passives: Old Timer's Knowledge [Passive]: Upon meeting a new Digimon - except those of the "Unknown" family and beings that aren't really Digimon - he can figure out its Species, Attribute, Family and Type. Furthermore, if that Digimon belongs in the Nightmare Soldiers or Dark Area families, he can also figure out its weaknesses, if any. Demon King's Charisma [Passive]: If the user was not hit by any attacks in the previous turn, reduce all of his cooldowns by 1. This ability itself is not affected by this, having a natural cooldown of 3 turns. Data Vampire [Passive]: Recovers a little health at the end of each turn by absorbing the data leaking from an enemy's open wounds. The amount of healing increases the more data the enemy is "bleeding". Speed Demon [Passive]: Matadormon is among the fastest of Digimon. This makes it harder for slower or bulkier Digimon to land a hit on him, as long as he keeps moving. Effects: None. Move used: Suerte de Capote [Attack]: Uses his fluttering garment to deceive the opponent, and when the opponent drops their guard from a glance at the soft-colored cloth, he shoots five rapiers at them from close range, causing a decent amount of data to leak from their wounds. Has a 2 turn cooldown.
Cooldowns: Demon King's Charisma: 1 turn Suerte de Capote: 2 turns

Ophelia couldn't help a satisfied growl as the claymore cleaved thru the two clones; seeming to defeat them proper, judging by the way they would properly disappear, now; fading away in puffs of smoke. Grinning cockily, Ophelia's tail would twitch with excitement; the leonine Himamon already ready to eyeball out her next target, when Lucemon's voice from above would cut off her train of thought. More praise, more advice; stuff that Ophelia was, honestly, wondering if she should really worry about anymore. Was it really worth caring about how the enemy was giving advice? It was their loss, really; and advice was advice! She couldn't deny what was coming next, though; Noir reforming from the shadows, and sending out a lance of shadowy energy! Initially, Ophelia paid only minimal mind to it, as it wasn't aimed at her; instead arcing out towards Jokermon, who could take care of himself. However... The bright crimson light from Jokermon's evolution would quickly draw the Himamon's attention back in their direction; watching as Jokermon digivolved into Matadrmon to avoid the shadowy spear! ... But, this also meant that she'd see the spear suddenly bounce and arc to Cassie - Ophelia's core skipping a beat at this. Cassie, with her slow speed, could only brace herself against the coming attack; flippers coming up to protect her face. Ophelia, on the other hand, was faster; and was about to move in to shield Cassie from the attack, damage taken be damned... ... when Matadrmon would deflect the attack with a kick, protecting the little Gomamon-X! Cassie, frankly, was puzzled; but she'd stay close to Matadrmon's protection for the time being, offering him a small, nervous, but genuine smile. "T-thank you, Matadrmon...!" She wasn't sure how to feel about being called a 'lovely handmaiden'; though would it be too late to tell him that she, well... Wasn't really interested in him, in that way? Either way though, there wasn't much that the Gomamon-X could do in the meantime; both of her supportive moves on cooldown. Certainly, she could fight, but... She was just as land-bound as Ophelia was, whilst Lucemon and Hippogriffomon were aerial foes. And speaking of Lucemon and Hippogriffomon; Ophelia would quickly be faced with their next attack - Hippogriffomon and Lucemon both attempting to sling Metallife Kuwagamon at her like some oversized spear! Ophelia would move quick with this; diving to the side to avoid being impaled by the sharp horns atop the poor insectoid digimon's head, but also bringing herself closer to Noir. She'd allow herself to roll back to her feet - Matadrmon's attack likely impacting by now - and prepare her Azure Fang; which was in the shape of a longsword, now. Using this, she would slash at the copycat with Frozen Cleave!
- Cassie is protected from Noir's spear attack by Matadrmon, and Ophelia dodges Lucemon's and Hippogriffomon's attack. - Ophelia goes after Lucemon Noir and attempts to slash him down with Frozen Cleave! - Cassie takes no action, and sticks to Matadrmon's side for the time being. - Tempo reaches 5 stacks, Frost Veil wears off Ophelia's LogMove Used:[ATTACK] Frozen Cleave: Enhancing her Blue Blade with ice to make it more fitting as a standard sword, Ophelia darts in with a battlecry and slashes down the foe with ferocity! How could MetallifeKuwagamon not feel the swelling of pride in his chest as even his opponent complimented his technique? Sure he was still not practiced in its use, and he almost wished the backwash from the blast hadn't cut Lucemon off. Almost. The sight of the Demon Lord tumbling in the sky spurred the cyborg digimon on faster into the gale. He had no point of comparison for Lucemon's lackadaisal tumbling through the air to what the backwash should have done. As Lucemon's hand closed around his fist did he realize that by not fighting the air currents what Lucemon was saving their concentration for. He leaned back in confusion, his body movements betraying his emotions where his stiff mask did not. "You-why are you being so helpful? A̷l̶l̴ of this advice is good!" He managed to get out before suddenly his breath was pulled away by the force of the spin and then Lucemon's hand simply let go. MetallifeKuwagamon tumbled wildly for a moment, aware that he was making a rather quick descent. He would be in for a rather unpleasant landing if he couldn't catch himself in time but one of his components had been in such a situation before! The form and specifics were different than before but the idea didn't change: catch himself. He flung his armswide and flipped neatly so that it appeared as if he was gliding down to the ground. His eyes were on his shadow and his probable landing spot-Ophelia if the lioness didn't move. His shadow was getting bigger-wait since when did his shadow have wings? SMACKSomething large and solid collided with his back and he tumbled out of control and kept tumbling until his face came in contact with the very hard and very unforgiving ground. He felt himself slide across the ground in a dazed, painful stupor. Luckily for Ophelia (and perhaps unluckily for him) there was no other body cushioning his from the painful embrace of the ground. Slowly he pushed himself up out of the him-shaped crater in the ground. He swayed as he got to his feet and little particles of data were intermittedly rising from the cracks in his armor. He held out his hands in front of him at chest height and flexed his fingers. Had he been wrong in being so proud of his own strength earlier? No-the attack had been fine. It was his follow up that needed work. He flexed his fingers slowly and stared at them. His strongest move and Lucemon had waded into it without backing down. He knew this wasn't a real fight, the goal wasn't to defeate Lucemon but still he wanted to- "Look out!" Hiroyo flinched as the spear came hurtling toward Jokermon and threw her hands over her eyes. Even if she had been berating him just moments ago it was too much to watch him get pierced like that! After a moment when the expected shrieks of pain or horror did not ring out she slowly lowered her eyes to watch as the light of digivolution shone from Jokermon's form. The flowing sleeves, the gleaming knives, he was - "Regal." she breathed out in a whisper, grinning as he kicked the spear away from him and Cassie. A grin spread on her face as she pumped her fist in the air with a grin. "Now that's more like royalty!" A weird kind of royalty sure - but she grinned at Yuko as Matadormon dashed away at speed. "I might have misjudged your partner at first, he seems like a flakey guy but might actually be really dependable?"Speaking of dependable she had her own partner to look after. And there he was! Still on his feet but- her hand clenched around her digivice. He was just barely standing after the previous attack but as she watched his stance became firmer and firmer. Could he keep going? MetallifeKuwagamon watched. He watched as Matadrmon exploded onto the scene in a flurry of prescence and teamwork and speed the cyborg couldn't hope to match. He watched as Ophelia followed up Matadrmon's attack with her own. He leaned forward as he watched intently, the drifting data soon replaced with sparking electricity. If he wanted successs he couldn't rely on power alone. If he wanted to land a hit successfully he had to rely on them-no, he had to fit himself to them. So he watched. Arcs of electricity jumped from limb to limb, from horn to horn in a temporary circlet. The cyborg was planning something as he took a breather to recover and built up power. He wasn't sure what he was going to do with this power yet but it'd be used in support of his allies.
Combat Log MetalBugManmon got Splat'd by that Lucemon-HippoGryphmon combo. He's hanging back this round, casually overloading his circuits and building up a charge. Moves HotWire - MetallifeKuwagamon has the ability to overload its circuits to alter an attack, it takes a full turn to enact the alterations. This effect last until the HotWired move is used. HotWire shares the HotWired Cooldown of the attack it was used on. HotWired cannot be used on a move twice in a row.
Passives Tailwind [Passive] - This digimon is followed by the wind as if the air itself was a loyal pet. It’s faster than your average Ultimate as a result. Cooldowns Parallax Blast - 2/3 Vaccuum Blast - 1/4 HotWire - ??/??

The harmonious teamwork between Jokermon and Ophelia continued to be a thing of beauty. In a single, fluid motion, the now-Matadormon was able to deflect the spear-formed Lucemon clone, even if the resulting impact to his foot would be quite painful. As it formed back into a Lucemon shape, Matadormon was a step ahead of it. Five rapiers pierced through its shadowy body; both legs, both wrists, and the head. Its shadowy body swelled up, trying to recompile its other limbs, but a slice of Ophelia's axe left the body bisected as well. It continued to try and reform, but its efforts were in vain: the clone faded into a puff of shadows.
A shame that left somebody out of the party. Lucemon pursed their lips thoughtfully as they surveyed the battlefield. "Do you see now? If I were to entertain your earlier request, you never may have attained this new peak of power," they explained. "We must always fight our best, even against our friends. To hold back is to not only deny yourself growth, but also to deny them the same." They had their arms folded as they talked, their longcoat flowing behind them elegantly. From an angle like this, they seemed less like a fallen angel and more like a military instructor.
Unfortunately, not keeping them in check gave Lucemon free reign over the battlefield. In the blink of an eye they ascended high into the sky, vanishing behind the clouds. Rasielmon peered until her eyes were practically shut, trying her hardest to see what Lucemon was up to. Apparently she found out what it was, because her eyes widened in shock and she took a few shaky steps back. "Okay. I need you all to trust me on this, and run as fast as you can," she said, trying not to let her voice waver. The clouds started to part, but instead of light only the shadows passed through them. "Please, please, please, don't do anything reckless!"
"Oh, what's the fun in that?" Lucemon asked. A chunk of stone pierced through the clouds, followed by several more much like it. The stones all seemed to be held together by a mass of moss and roots, with a glowing golden crystal visible at the very center of the pile. The stones, together, were big enough to cast the entire Sanctum in shadow. Lucemon was nowhere to be seen, but with each passing second more stone passed through the clouds. It was becoming increasingly clear that this wasn't an ordinary attack.
Lucemon had tugged a floating island out of the sky, and they were not afraid to use it.
"Go on, see how you can handle this one!" they called out. As they did so, the island began to careen out of the sky, falling towards Ophelia, Jokermon, and MetallifeKuwagamon with increasing speed. The good news was that it wasn't too big, all things considered. It was maybe the size of a small meteor, and was probably just a stray chunk of Luminas that had drifted into the Digital World's low orbit. The bad news was that a small island was still a giant mass of land threatening to make impact.
Combat Log: Lucemon Noir is cleanly and soundly defeated, unfortunately leaving Lucemon unchecked. They sail off into the skies and return with a floating island in tow, flinging it down at the group with reckless abandon.

“A beautiful garment hiding evil blades of steel. That’s how the Demon King rolls. My elegant, deadly dance is beauty personified! Olé~!” Matadormon celebrated their victory over Lucemon Noir, shaking his hurt foot to get rid of the numbness, before spinning around the blade tip of his other foot like a ballerina, doing three full twirls, before freezing in an exaggerated pose with his spine bent backwards and one arm outstretched towards the sky. Unlike MetallifeKuwagamon, he seemed a lot more comfortable in this body, which probably meant that this wasn’t the first time in his multiple-incarnation lifespan that he had Digivolved into Ultimate. Yuko grinned back at Hiroyo and the kind words she had to offer. “Yeah, I know. Jokah can be really obnoxious - as you can plainly see - but he’s helpful when it matters. I didn’t know the first thing about anything when I first stumbled into this world, and without him I’d probably have become some Digimon’s lunch a long time ago… It’s weird. He keeps calling himself an ‘evil Demon King’, but sometimes I think he might not even really be evil.” The teenage Tamer said, looking towards Cassie, who had just been saved by Jokah. Sadly, their triumph was short lived… With all his clones gone, Lucemon himself reminded the group that he existed in the most bombastic way possible. Yuko stared up at the falling chunks of rock with a bewildered expression. “First you call yourself our friend, then you do this?! FRIENDS DON’T DROP FUCKING ISLANDS ON PEOPLE!!!” The young delinquent screamed her lungs out, deciding to follow Rasielmon’s advice and make a run for it. “Come, there’s no time! We need to get the hell out of dodge!” She urged Hiroyo to follow suit. Seeing how that reasonably massive piece of land was mainly targeting the partner Digimon, Matadormon had even more reason to run away from the perceived impact zone as fast as possible. The vampiric bullfighter did so, running with his torso leaning forward and arms thrown backward. “Ahahahaha! Catch me if you can with your roca gigante!” In his defense, he was one of the fastest Digimon alive in this form, so he felt entitled to taunt his opponent. OOC Notes: - Yuko runs in order to get a safe distance away from the impact zone. - Matadormon does the same. Move used: None.
Cooldowns: Suerte de Capote: 1 turn

Another hit, and the final clone was down with the swing of her Azure Fang; drawing a hue of satisfaction from Ophelia. She's briefly watch as Noir would break up and fade away into smoky shadows, the longsword shape of her Azure Fang fading away as she wondered what shape to try, next... Trying all of these different types of swords was interesting, fun even; and it had her wondering where the artifact's limits were, in shaping blades for her... ... Though, the thoughts wouldn't last long. Ophelia and Cassie both would glance upwards, as Lucemon spoke; and the Himamon, initially, was ready to snark at them - though as soon as Lucemon finished speaking, they were off, ascending thru the clouds above. This would initially bewilder Ophelia; her tail letting out a somewhat irritated flick, as she growled "The hell...? The heck kind of fight do they think this is, if they're just going to fuck off right after???" Her voice was puzzled, though also low and somewhat rough; the building tempo and thrill of the combat thus far having her body language read more like that of a wild beast, ready to pounce, than anything else. Cassie, though, wasn't so sure if Lucemon was 'fucking off', as Ophelia had put it. She would be amongst the first to notice Rasielmon's growing shock and fear; and seeing the strong, Mega-stage Digimon backing away like this was enough to unsettle her and hint her to the fact that something was terribly, terribly, wrong. The fact that her first advice in the face of this - above all else - was to run, didn't help matters either; Cassie glancing upwards to see how the clouds parted for not light, but shadow instead - as though something was coming... ... Something big... Cassie's breath caught in her throat as, amidst her own attempts to back away and start moving, she saw it- the large mass of stone and earth from the floating island descending downwards, towards the battlefield. She could only make a soft, terrified squeak; attempting to pick up the pace the best she could, but speed never was her forte - it being clear that the little Gomamon-X would lag behind, if no one made an attempt to help. Despite this all, though; despite the descending meteor of an island... Ophelia stood her ground. This, initially, prompted a mix of emotions from Cassie - confusion, anxiety, worry; "O-Ophi, come on...!" She'd glance back and call to her sister; continuing to move along. "We need to get out of here, hurry; you're going to get crushed...!"Despite Cassie's calls, though... Ophelia remained where she was; gripping the Azure Fang easily in her one hand. Her eyes were narrowed, up towards Lucemon, and up towards the descending floating island; not looking towards Yuko or Matadrmon, not towards Hiroyo or Metallife Kuwagamon, nor towards Cassie or Rasielmon... She was keeping her eyes on the challenge before her; she didn't see this as some impending threat or doom - she was confident that she had a bead on Lucemon, after all - and if this Lucemon bastard wanted to throw this at them... "Like hell I'm running from this!" She'd shout in response; slinging her Azure Fang over her shoulder with one hand, as it began to shape itself into a large weapon. It wasn't a sword; but it was something familiar, something she understood almost as well as a sword... "... If they want to throw rocks at us from afar like a pansy, then I'll show them just what I think of this damn rock of theirs!"First, was the preparation. As the Azure Fang continued to form, she would use yet another card upon herself; the Berserker Protocol card, so as to make herself stronger. The second that it was called upon, she could almost instantly feel the way that the wild burst of energy it provided would run through her veins; only further agitating and exciting her, on top of the already building energy of the fight that was thrumming under her skin... Next, Ophelia would bring her second hand up, so that she was gripping the elongated handle that the Azure Fang had formed with both hands. A keen eye could see now, what Azure Fang was forming into; that of a large double-bladed battleaxe, resembling the axes that a Blizzarmon might use. Except, that this axe was not to her scale; to the point that what would be a single-handed weapon for a Blizzarmon, was a two-handed weapon for her! And yet, despite the seemingly awfully large size of the axe, Ophelia seemed able to heft it without issue; the Berserker Protocol, as well as her growing strength and ferocity from the growing tempo of the fight, both seeming to aid in this as she adjusted her stance. The floating island was growing closer, now; closer and closer, bit by bit - but Ophelia stood her ground still. She would bare her fangs in the face of all of this; shouting once more, directly to Lucemon "YOU THINK THIS CAN STOP ME, HUH?! THINK THIS'LL SCARE ME OFF, LIKE THE REST OF EM?!""WELL FUCK. THAT. NOISE!"With a roar of defiance, of bravery, Ophelia would finally swing the axe from over her shoulder; slamming it forward in a Shatterstrike, to meet the island head on. And as axe met stone, it was almost as though things began to slow to a crawl, to make this briefest moment last an eternity... She could feel, in that moment, all the weight of the stone crashing against her blade; that same weight that was pushing back against her, making her feet skid as they dug into the earth, making her arms scream with pain in protest. By all logic, she'd be crushed underneath the weight; and even assuming that she was able to, by some miracle of Yggdrasil, survive this - she'd surely be left with many broken bones. She could also see where the stone began to fracture from where the blade impacted, her Shatterstrike move living up to its name. Spider-webbing cracks from the point of impact, slowly growing and spreading as this moment ticked on; though the blade of the axe that Azure Fang had formed was beginning to crack, too - the crystals that formed it were not impervious under the island's weight, it seemed. By all logic, the crystals that Azure Fang produced to form it into different weapons and tools likely scaled in strength with the form that Ophelia used it with; and it was unlikely that crystals formed from a Champion could stand up to this. Finally, she could even hear the sounds of stone and crystal alike cracking. She could hear the earth beneath her sifting from her being pushed back underneath the island's weight, she could hear even her own joints starting to pop, bones and armor starting to creak and crack under the pressure... She could hear her friends shouting - Cassie, even, shouting for her to move, to get out of the way; though it all sounded muted, distant, as though her head were underwater... By all logic, she should've been with them. She should've moved out of the way, should've run with the rest of them. But logic wasn't something that Ophelia ran by. In the end, she was different from Matadrmon, and likely Metallife Kuwagamon as well, in that she was wild; partially, if not wholly. She was born wild, and raised wild; growing up in harsh conditions. And if there was one thing that most wild digimon relied upon, even above logic... ... It was their gut instinct. And Ophelia's instincts were screaming at her to fight, to stand her ground; to not run, even in the face of this challenge. And so... ... she didn't. Ophelia would let out a shout, as she fought with all her might; as she pushed back against the island above, despite the odds. Cassie, meanwhile, was silent, fearful, worried to near-death; as all she could do was watch as her sister charged head-on at this seemingly impossible challenge - seemingly to her death, for all the poor Gomamon-X knew... But, in watching... She could begin to see the first peek of ice-blue light, that would begin to shine from the gaps and cracks in Ophelia's armor. Something was changing. Something was changing, and in that moment, Ophelia could feel it; even as her armor began to break away, like a shed chrysalis. She could feel her body growing in size, she could feel the strength that she bolstered herself with only grow further; and even outside of feeling it, it likely wasn't hard for the others to see it. Even past the glow of her changing form, they would likely be able to see as her body became taller, more wide-set, more muscled - albeit a majority of the definition was obscured with a thick layer of fur. Her armor was no longer there to conceal her body, otherwise; the remaining shattered shards of blue, white, and black sloughing off of her and breaking down into data as they hit the ground. Clawed hands gripped at the handles of her weapon, and the claws on her feet dug into the earth for traction as well; leaving lines dug into the grass and ground beneath. Her long, tufted tail was lashing side-to-side, and her fangs were bared in a snarl with an undeniable ferocity. Her Azure Fang, too, was only growing further in size, to match her newfound growth; the gradual cracking of the axe coming to a stop, only for it to begin repairing itself..! In the form of a large and proud Panjyamon, Ophelia would roar yet again; this roar sounding far more bestial than the roars and shouts of her Himamon form, proud and valorous as a lion's roar should be as it rung out in the briefest moment of silence. Her efforts redoubled, she would push back with all her might; pushing forward against the floating island as her perception of time would begin to, once more, pass as normal... ... And as the world seemed to catch back up to her, Ophelia would become aware of the sensation, of her axe beginning to slice. Or, perhaps, slice was the wrong word; axes were not made to cut like a sword or dagger was. Their strength was in the sheer force that was put behind them when one swung it; severing through harder materials such as even armor with sheer weight and strength alone, as opposed to actual sharpness. No, Ophelia could feel her axe beginning to sunder thru the obstacle before it. She could see as the stone above began to split in twain, cracks spreading and parting along the surface; and likely far, far, deeper into the stone as well. Without anything to stop it - albeit with a vast majority of its inertia absorbed by the floating island that it had cleaved thru - Azure Fang would slam into the ground below with a bone-shaking thud, the axe blade embedding itself into the soil beneath their feet. And as for the floating island that had been descending - its two halves, as well as the miscellaneous smaller fragments that were breaking off of those halves? As the remaining pieces of the floating island fell, the two halves would begin to fall on either side of Ophelia; missing her by perhaps a few feet, as the fragments scattered and fell as they pleased. Almost reflexively, Ophelia would pull the Azure Fang out of the ground to bat aside one of these fragments; breathing and panting heavily as she did, but still standing proud. She would sling her axe over her shoulder, she would glance upwards - eyes searching for Lucemon's presence - and as she fixed a sharp, determined gaze upon them, she would bare her fangs in a confident, proud snarl; and only say one thing... "... You're gonna have to try a little harder than THAT."
- Cassie flees from the falling island. Ophelia, instead, stands her ground..! - Ophelia uses the card Berserker Protocol to increase her attack, at the cost of her defense. - Ophelia, at first, attempts to counter the island with Shatterstrike; though she isn't quite strong enough..! Following Rasielmon's lead Hiroyo shaded her eyes with one hand and rose up on tip toe to peer into the heaves after Lucemon, her face scrunched in concern. "...They're not retreating, are they?"
Even she got a bad feeling about their current course of actions and the words they had spoken. A feeling that was justified when Lucemon decided that smashing an island into another island was going to be their next course of action.
Her eyes widened as she stared and Yuko screamed. SHe nodded her head in agreement with the delinquient, pumping fist in the air with a "YEAH!" before she also turned and started running.
"MetallifeKuwagamon!" She slid to a halt a few dozen paces from where she had been standing initially, as she turned back to the fusion.
"GO!" Sparks leapt from his form as he gestured for her to run, to leave him behind. She hesistated for a moment as she watched that massive island descend and then nodded. At least the athletic red head was quick to sprint this time.
Behind her MetallifeKuwagamon turned as Matadrmon passed him and sped after the other ultimate as the shadow of the island grew larger. He couldn't out run it, not really. He knew he couldn't outrun it and he didn't have anything in his arsenal that would stop it and if Matadrmon wasn't stopping then he clearly didn't have anything either.
'That leaves Ophelia but she is-' That trail of thought broke off as the lion in question roared. He jerked to a halt, throwing his body to lean backwards to bring himself to a sudden halt. His feet touched the ground again and he turned to stare at the scene behind him.
Ophelia wasn't backing down. Even as a champion, a tier lower than himself, she wasn't running.
There was a blinding light and another roar and MetallifeKuwagamon shielded his eyes belatedly, lowering them again as he heard something breaking.
The island. She had cut the island in half.
He stared at her new form in shcok for a moment before his more sensible side took over and he started judging distance. At this angle, would the people behind him be okay? At this angle would those who were running from the fight be alright? He didn't have to look behind him to know, they would have to be okay.
He raised his hands to the sky and channeled the built up electricity in his systems. A pang of regret hit him, he would have preferred to use this change for something else but things being what they were he had no choice.
"Gatling Laser!" Again lasers filled the sky but this time their numbers were doubled compared to before. Like a gun of their namesake they slammed into the loose pieces of the thrown island, blasting the larger chunks into more harmless dust and smaller pieces before it could reach the humans behind him.
A few stray beams slipped through in Lucemon's direction, far less even then the barrage he had taken initially but MetallifeKuwagamon could still hope for a lucky shot, right?
MetallifeKuwagamon positions himself closer to the escaping group then turns around. He works on dealing with the rubble/debris.

Rasielmon sighed as she counted the Digimon present behind her. The humans were quick to join her in running, followed shortly after by Matadormon. Cassie trailed behind, Rasielmon summoning a golden wind behind her to help the little seal keep up. That just left two Digimon, who much to Rasielmon's concern had elected to stay behind. "What are you doing?" she asked, true fear setting in her voice for the first time today. "You can't . . . you're going to . . . I . . . you have to . . . I don't know if you're going to be okay!" She stopped just short of salvation, motioning for Hiroyo, Yuko, Matadormon, and Cassie to get behind her. If the worst threatened to befall Ophelia and MetallifeKuwagamon, she wouldn't rest until they were safe.
"And that's half the fun!" Lucemon's voice rose, loud, clear, and proud, even above the tear of Ophelia's axe into the island's stone. If Ophelia thought they had hid in the skies like a pansy, she would find herself proven quite wrong. In fact, Lucemon was surfing on top of the island as it crashed down, not letting their footing falter even as Ophelia tried to force the island back. "Do you truly trust these chosen heroes of yours so little? Don't tell me you lose all faith in them when you're not being coddled by that future vision of yours." Rasielmon clenched her fists tight, but did not respond to their challenge. She remained, half-stepping towards her charges but ultimately holding back.
And with their challenge set, Lucemon too was content to stand back and watch. They watched as Ophelia's armor started to crack. They watched as her footing started to falter, and her arms started to tremble. They watched as it became abundantly clear that her body threatened to crack far, far before her will would. And then they watched as the golden light of Digivolution washed over her body, proving that impossible was just a word in the dictionary. They watched as Ophelia's muscles swelled up, her axe grew in size and girth, and the roar in her voice sounded out loud enough to shake the earth.
Yet not only did she shake the earth, she sundered it entirely. The island split messily in two, a rain of stone shrapnel following in its wake. From there, MetallifeKuwagamon snapped into action, supercharging their cannons to a level they had never before attained. Their barrage was as accurate as it was rapid, incinerating fragments of stone before they could even threaten the fighters below. Only dust and ash would land at the duo's feet. It was a testament to their determination, which would grind any threats into their way into similar.
Lucemon themselves sprang off of the island as it tore asunder, spreading their wings out and touching down gently in the epicenter of the destruction. Despite the haphazardly scattered stone and rubble they landed on, they stood with perfect balance. To most onlookers, they would seem serene. However, those who had spent the past day battling Lucemon would see quite a different story. There was no mistaking the brightness in their eyes, the half-tensed posture of their wings, and the small, subtle grin on their face.
They couldn't be more excited.
"Extraordinary! Simply extraordinary!" they said, leaping from the pile of rubble to land directly in front of Ophelia and MetallifeKuwagamon. They looked them up and down, as if truly seeing them for the first time, then nodded. "Yes, yes, and this was just after a single fight. Imagine after another few spars like this. The energy around you would be near-unrecognizable! And to think I took you for a batch of amateurs. You really know how to pick 'em, Rasielmon! Of course, there's still so much further to go . . ."
Were . . . were actually they going to attack?

Ophelia’s defiance and suicidal charge went mostly unnoticed by Yuko, who was too preoccupied making a run for it, along with Hiroyo, Cassie and Rasielmon. Matadormon was running in a different direction from them, but his goal too was to outrun the gigantic landmass falling from the sky. It would take a pretty mentally unstable person to even try and face this calamity head on… and it turned out Ophelia was just that kind of person!
Now watching safely behind a Mega-size meatshield (sorry Rasielmon), the young Tamer witnessed the awe-inspiring transformation of the humanoid lion warrior, into a bigger, more muscular, more bestial white lion. “Wow, that’s…” Were the only words that left her hanging open mouth. Even the Demon King stopped his mad sprint, finding himself a safe distance away, and turning around to marvel at the newly Digivolved Panjyamon cleave the damn island in half with her behemoth-esque axe! “That’s it! Show him your fangs, young lioness! Esto es fantástico!” The flamboyant bullfighter cheered her on. Perhaps he was even smiling under that beak-shaped muzzle of his.
With MetallifeKuwagamon’s supercharged Gatling Laser making quick work of the debris the island was reduced to, the worst had seemingly passed, leaving only the looming threat of Lucemon himself to deal with. The Demon Lord of Pride menacingly descended upon a messy pile of dust and rubble… and congratulated Ophelia and MetallifeKuwagamon for their combined efforts, sounding more like an excited child than a dignified fallen angel.
“I didn’t doubt them for a second! And I also totally didn’t run away.” Matadormon chimed in, having caught up with them in the time it took for Lucemon to finish his speech. “It’s a new mundo we live in, where Digimon can achieve such heights of power in such short time. Speaking of, what do you think of MY Ultimate form, Lucy? It’s muy extravagante, is it not?” He eagerly asked, showing off his colorful, slender form. Ahh, priorities, priorities…

For a short period of time, Ophelia would be completely quiet, as she gazed upon her handiwork. Her breathing was hard and heavy. She could hear the beat of her core in her ears. Hell, her whole body felt as though it were pulsing; waves of achy pain washing over her in time with her core's beating, from the exertion that she had just put her body through. Not once though, in the midst of this, did she falter; even when her body was trying to tell her that rest was probably going to be the best thing for her, right now.
No, she kept her eyes on Lucemon, watching as the angelic demon perched upon the remains of the sundered island. She could read their excitement; it dripped from every little detail in their body language, and it indeed was easier to read, now that they had all the time of the fight to properly get to know them. Yet, she couldn't help but focus more on a certain satisfaction welling up inside of herself; that satisfaction at the notion that she had done something that was, honestly, seemingly impossible..!
Her ears would tilt upwards briefly, and she'd watch, as Lucemon would leap down to join her and Metallife Kuwagamon, though; once more rambling on about their... Amazing-ness, she supposed. She couldn't help but remain somewhat on guard, though, as they drew near; unsure of whether Lucemon was about to attack them once more, or not. But as a couple of moments passed, and nothing happened - beyond Matadormon coming in to try and show off - she couldn't help but feel almost... Disappointed, perhaps.
What, exactly, was she disappointed over? It was hard to say, but... Perhaps the biggest thing, in all of this, was that she wanted to keep fighting. She had reached this new form, which likely could do so many new things, and she wanted to put them to use in a good fight; she even had the energy to spare for it, even if her body was still faintly aching..!
And in this almost-disappointment, Ophelia couldn't help but voice this notion; glancing down at the axe that her Azure Fang was shaped into briefly, as she did. "... Are we not fighting anymore, then? Or are we still gonna be fighting...?" She'd question; eyes peering up towards Lucemon briefly.
Cassie, though, in the midst of this... Well, she'd certainly be deflated; the burst of anxiety and worry she had over Ophelia and the lioness' risky maneuver having drained a good bit of her energy, in her frenetic nature. She'd be remaining at Rasielmon's side, a flipper wrapped around her leg in a hug as she tried to calm herself down; her claws still shaking slightly.

Hiroyo's body sagged with relief. The meteor-island-giant rock-thing! was destroyed and the two absolute dumbasses who had decided not running away from it were okay! She didn't have the proper words to yell at MetallifeKuwagamon at the moment - a good portion of her brain was still stariing in awe with her jaw on the floor at the destruction - but she would find them eventually!
Her fingers gripped a little harder as she straightened up and pushed a strand of hair out of her eyes, blinking in surprise as Matadormon ran over to join the two and the Demon Lord who had alighted to...congratulate them? Hiroyo's face twisted with confusion.
"Why is this weirder than the forest?" She asked Rasielmon, her voice edging dangerously near the territory of a whine. "Like, there once we knew who we were dealing with it made sense there was a lot of things that didn't make sense because her thing is supposedly being sneaky and manipulative but this is just..? I really can't take this guy as a terrible threat," she waved her free hand around with an expression of mock-horror on her face before retuning to her complaining. "All he seems to want to do is spar and compliment people and himself in the process."
With that nigh-incomprehensible ramble done she straighted her shoulders and stared in that direction, one finger tapping on her chin. Her words were starting to come back to her and MetallifeKuwagamon clearly deserved stern words of something but part of her was still thinking about the moments of impact: Ophelia's axe against the island, the barrage of lasers against the debris. She knew fights in the digital world could be dangerous but she'd never seen someone do that.
Of course this was also the red head's first time seeing someone throw an island of all things.
She wiped the back of her hand across her forhead then wiped the sweat off on the back of her shirt. A furrow appeared in her brow as she watched the proceedings as she took a step to see around Rasielmon more clearly. She didn't stray far from the angel's protection. This fight had very clearly outlined just how much she might need it.
Lucemon's approach was met with partially raised arms and a tired but prepared stance that slowly lowered in confusionas the Demon Lord decided to shower the two with compliments. Metallifekuwagamon stood a little taller, his back a little straighter because he needed to be ready to move at a moment's notice if the spar was taken up again.
The sparks that had been bouncing around his frame had faded away with the lasers exiting his fingers. Now he felt still tired but, he could keep going. His components hadn't had a fight like this in years, had never achieved this height of power and it was a heady rush that in his ears, a pure powerful note that sang in his body along every limb and digit.
He flexed his fingers slowly. Would this form last long enough for him to get his fill? He doubted it would this instance but in the future...
"More spars would be quite useful..." He trailled off as Matadormon showed up, a small snort of amusement at the other's words. He really did talk like a digimon that had been around for ages. MetallifeKuwagamon had to admit he had picked the more foolish option (although how did one outrun an island anyways? Could he have if it came to that?) and so he inclined his head toward the flamboyant ultimate. His voice was sincere. "It was kind of you to see t̵o̷ ̷ our dependents."
He glanced over at Ophelia's words then turned his eager attention back on Lucemon. He could understand. The thrill of evolution, of finding more room beyond what had once been one's limits- it was exhilirating. Lucemon's words were an additive to this, a call to test out their prowess as long as they could.
It was a siren's call he'd gladly answer.

"I . . . I admit, I can't say I'm too sure either," Rasielmon said. "Lucemon was second only to Daemon in terms of lords Seraphimon spoke fearfully of. And their power is certainly off the charts. But . . . they almost seem like they don't want to use it? Or, at least, not for anything beyond their satisfaction.
Then again, that's what we thought about this incarnation of Gluttony, too. And he was all too quick to prove us wrong. I wouldn't lower your guards just yet."
Yet for all of Rasielmon's hesitation, Lucemon simply watched as the assembled Digimon gathered around them. Matadormon was quick to start showing off, gesturing grandly to his new form. MetallifeKuwagamon was pensive yet intrigued, already debating on how to push his power to new limits. And Ophelia? Well, she sounded like her favorite toy had been torn from her hands. Yet none of them stepped forward to continue the fight, slipping back into a calm and comfortable discussion with their friendly foe.
A cruel smirk spread across Lucemon's face.
One second, they were standing perfectly still. A split second later, they had blurred past everyone and landed in a kneeling position. As they passed, blades of light and darkness slashed at Ophelia, Matadormon, and MetallifeKuwagamon, targeting them from all sides. "You let your guard down," Lucemon explained, slowly rising from their kneeling position. "I never said we had stopped fighting, did I? Yet despite being your foe, you stopped just because I did. You should have remained on guard. Maybe even taken the chance to get the jump on me before I could attack you first."
The smirk on their face changed from cruel to encouraging. "But something tells me you won't quite mind, will you? If anything, I think you'd be more upset if I didn't start this little fight back up." Instead of setting back into a fighting stance, they kept their hands behind their back, shifting onto their back foot. "Now why don't we practice this, hm? I'll stand here and talk to my heart's content, and you try and break my stride however I can. I might do a bit of meditation while I wait, maybe ring up by little sis . . . oh, oh, I could even read to you! Now wouldn't that be fun?" Immediately Lucemon started rifling around in their pockets. Their eyes were off of the fighters, and none of their hands were in any position to block.
Was this a trap? Or were they genuinely serving up a chance at payback?
