The Mysterious Vagabond - Demon Lords 2A

Like Hiroyo, Yuko was also relieved that this catastrophic fight had at least seemingly subsided for the time being, plopping herself down on the cloudy ground and panting heavily. “Oof… I dunno what you think, but anyone who can throw a friggin’ island at people is a pretty terrible threat in my book.” She replied to the older Tamer, while catching her own breath. She hadn’t even done much during that fight other than running for dear life, yet she still felt winded. It was just that damn intense!
Sadly, there wouldn’t be much time to rest, as Lucemon struck once again completely unannounced. Surprised by the attack, Matadormon reeled back via spinning like a top. “Es increíble! How could I, the Demon King of the Digital World, be fooled by such trickery!” He exclaimed, stopping mid-spin to reveal a sizable cut left on his torso and part of his arm by the superior Demon Lord’s blades. “And yet, that is so much like you, dear Lucemon. No other Digimon could command the powers of both light and darkness like you do. For someone like me, whose heart is filled with evil, it would be muy imposible. But, your heart is equally filled with love for all living things and an urge to destroy, isn’t it?” The self-proclaimed Demon King mused, keeping his oddly-shaped eyes glued on the fallen angel.
As Lucemon invited the three Ultimate-level Digimon to strike him with no apparent resistance on his part, Matadormon shook his head. “No, gracias. I’m an entertainer, not a fighter. And so, I would rather entertain you… with a dance! Olé~!” The flamboyant bullfighter exclaimed, spinning around with unmatched poise, his colorful garments flowing in the wind. His cloths being slightly damaged and tattered only made them more beautiful, adding mystique and antiquity. One could say that their beauty was nearly hypnotic… “Suerte de Capote!” Suddenly, five rapiers shot out of Matadormon’s long sleeve, targeting the great Demon Lord.
It was unlikely that Lucemon would actually fall for a trick like this, let alone letting such an attack deal significant damage. However, even if his maneuver were to fail entirely, perhaps it would distract him just long enough for the other two Ultimates to spring to action…
OOC Notes: - Matadormon is modestly damaged by Lucemon's surprise attack. - Matadormon uses Suerte de Capote hoping to, if not harming Lucemon, at least distracting him long enough for Ophelia and/or MetallifeKuwagamon to make their move. Passives: Old Timer's Knowledge [Passive]: Upon meeting a new Digimon - except those of the "Unknown" family and beings that aren't really Digimon - he can figure out its Species, Attribute, Family and Type. Furthermore, if that Digimon belongs in the Nightmare Soldiers or Dark Area families, he can also figure out its weaknesses, if any. Demon King's Charisma [Passive]: If the user was not hit by any attacks in the previous turn, reduce all of his cooldowns by 1. This ability itself is not affected by this, having a natural cooldown of 3 turns. Data Vampire [Passive]: Recovers a little health at the end of each turn by absorbing the data leaking from an enemy's open wounds. The amount of healing increases the more data the enemy is "bleeding". Speed Demon [Passive]: Matadormon is among the fastest of Digimon. This makes it harder for slower or bulkier Digimon to land a hit on him, as long as he keeps moving. Effects: None. Move used: Suerte de Capote [Attack]: Uses his fluttering garment to deceive the opponent, and when the opponent drops their guard from a glance at the soft-colored cloth, he shoots five rapiers at them from close range, causing a decent amount of data to leak from their wounds. Has a 2 turn cooldown.

With the adrenaline of the Berserker Protocol running through her veins, it probably was a bit of a misnomer to call her 'calm and comfortable'. Despite her attempts to maintain a neutral demeanor, she was antsy, she was excited, she still wanted to fight. However, the fact that had Lucemon had stopped threw her off, for briefly enough for her to let her guard down somewhat. As it quickly turned out though, that was a mistake; one that Lucemon was eager to correct them on, as they'd dart past them...! With that aforementioned adrenaline and antsiness though, Ophelia was quick to react; stepping closer to Metallife Kuwagamon, and familiar frozen bucklers forming on her forearms, with which she could protect herself and Metallife Kuwagamon both. The blades slashed from all sides, and some would slip through her guard; yet Ophelia was still quick on her feet, and ready to brace herself against the flurry of attacks - snarling in her throat with a certain excitement and determination, all the whilst. There was something wilder about her, more feral; though it was hard to say whether it was a result of her wild upbringing coming to the surface, or if it was a result of the Berseker Protocol. Either way; once the attack concluded, her shields were quite battered; the scars left in the ice from the numerable slashes quite deep and apparent. She'd, additionally, have taken some damage - the reduction in defense from Berserker Protocol not doing her any favors - but she'd still be standing, at the very least. As Matadormon came in to provide a distraction, Ophelia was quick to capitalize on it; coming in at a different angle from Matadormon, so as to avoid any friendly fire. For a moment, she had considered doing a longsword or rapier of some sort - a jabbing weapon, as opposed to a slashing weapon, and yet... ... did it have to be a sword? It'd take her a second to consider her choice in weapon - though when she figured out what she wanted, it'd become quite obvious; the axe shape of her Azure Fang reforming into that of a long spear...! It had reach; which she put to good use, using it to jab at Lucemon while having a little buffer space to react to any potential retaliations from them. She wasn't about to forget about her Azure Fang's functionality, either; even if Lucemon tried to grab at the spear or redirect it, she'd simply allow it to shatter before they could put her into any disadvantageous situations. Cassie, too, would be ready to act - even with her still-rattled nerves. "H-here, everyone...!" She'd call; blowing those familiar bubbles of Bubble Aid, and bouncing one to Matadormon, MetallifeKuwagamon, and Ophelia each - attempting to heal them, even if it was likely by a tiny amount.
- Ophelia uses Ice Buckler to block a majority of the slashes for herself and MetallifeKuwagamon; though some slashes still get thru, due to coming from all angles. - Ophelia comes in to jab at Lucemon - her Azure Fang shaped into a spear - from an angle, while Matadormon distracts them; being careful of potential friendly fire on both ends..! - Cassie, meanwhile, uses Bubble Aid - one bubble for everyone. - Tempo raises to 1 stack Ophelia's LogMove Used:[ABILITY] Ice Bucklers: Ophelia forms 1-2 shields made of ice on her arms, which she can choose to use to block an incoming attack. The shields, together, can completely block up to 2 Ultimate-level attacks before shattering, or block 50% of a single Mega attack before shattering instantly. Otherwise, the shields last for 1 turn before melting completely. [3 Turn Cooldown] Passives:[PASSIVE] Prominence Native: Having been raised in the coldest parts of Prominence, Ophelia has increased durability against conditions of extreme cold, as well as ice/cold-based attacks.
[PASSIVE; RAM] Tempo: Ophelia is a scrapper who prefers getting up close and personal - and the more she fights, the easier it gets for her as she gets into the rhythm of it. For each turn that she makes a direct melee attack, she gains 1 stack of Tempo at the end of that turn - and for each turn that she doesn't make a melee attack, she loses 1 stack of Tempo at the end. She gets a 6% attack and accuracy increase for each stack she gets, capping at 30% attack and accuracy at 5 stacks.
[PASSIVE; RAM GIGA] Lionheart: Ophelia is stubborn, willful, and passionate - especially in the heat of battle. Those who try to influence her mind or emotions find it difficult to overcome this side of her - and more often than not, she powers thru from sheer will, and the sheer anger at someone trying to control her like such. As a result, she is highly resistant - if not outright immune - to effects that influence her mind, emotions, or disposition, such as mind control, taunts, rage, fear, or pacification- unless she allows another digimon to influence her in this way. Effects:Tempo - 1/5 Stacks; 6% increase to Attack and Accuracy next turn Berserker Protocol - 3/3 Turns; Boost to Attack Power, reduction to Defense Cooldowns:Winter's Gasp - Once Per Thread Frost Veil - 3/3; Up Next Turn Glaciersplitter - 2/3 Ice Buckler - 0/3 Cards Used [2/3]:Gazimon Berserker Protocol Cassie's LogMove Used: [ABILITY] Bubble Aid: Cassie produces 3 bubbles filled with faintly glowing water, that soothes and heals. Upon producing a bubble, she can choose to either launch it at an ally - in which case the bubble pops on impact, and splashes the ally with the healing waters - or to leave the bubble floating, where Cassie or an ally can choose to pop it as a free action on their own time. Enemies cannot pop the bubble except for with a named attack, but can still move the bubble around or drag it with them. An ally can be affected by multiple bubbles from the same use of Bubble Aid at once/in succession - though the subsequent bubbles will not be as effective as the last. If left unpopped, the bubbles last 2 turns before popping on their own, and splashing the nearest digimon within melee range of the bubble. [3 Turn Cooldown]
Passives: [PASSIVE] The Eager Medic: Cassie has natural potential as a healer, and her bodyshape and natural strength lends well to devastating tackles - but her bodyshape also leads her to be a little awkward on land, and in non-snowy or non-icy conditions. Her healing is 30% stronger than a normal digimon's, and her attacks 15%, but she's 30% slower - except for when in water, or on snow/ice.
Cooldowns: Bubble Aid - 0/3

"Dammit!" MetallifeKuwagamon should have ahd time to react and he would have if he had not been caught quite so unawares. Thanks to Ophelia's defense the frontal-orientating slashes were blocked but there were enough from his side that it still sent lances of pain through his body as the strikes dug into the unarmored tendrils of his arms and even into his armor. "Thank you!" He called the Ophelia as she rushed off and he took a moment to gather himself, his movements sluggish. He hadn't been hit that many times this fight but pain of this level was new, existing at this level was new. What else did he have in his inventory? What tricks did he have up his sleeve that Lucemon hadn't seen yet? He bowed his head for a moment then nodded firmly, decided upon his course of action. With that clarity came another round of healing from Cassie and the edges of his wounds began to heal over. He snorted quitly and gave a thankful wave of his hand. He owed a lot to these siblings. The metal bug leaned backward, mirrored Matadormon's step for a moment before shifting forward and lunging forward, his feet lifting off the ground as they were carried on a layer of warm air from his jets. He blasted forward, following in Ophelia's wake before abruptly darting to the side and circling around her and Lucemon both. Sparks leapt between his fingers before he suddenly brought them together, a bolt of lightning darting from one palm to another and a deafening boom resounding outwards. Oddly enough the sound would be mostly focused in Lucemon's direction, a disorientating wave of pressure and sound that flew in Lucemon's direction. The thrill of fighting sang through his body as he lifted his hand struck at Lucemon's arm, a relatively simple move meant to keep their attention on him or Ophelia. A hiss of anger escaped Hiroyo's lips as Lucemon attacked! She recognized that pose, had seen simliar a dozen, no a hundred times while reading manga! It was a move she'd seen Samurai J use many times! A straightforward move meant to demonstrate mastery of both body and blade! 'To see it used so shamefully....!'
She cupped her hands around her mouth and hollered to the forces arrayed agains the dread Lord of Pride. "KICK HIS BUTT GUYS!"
MetallifeKuwagamon is a chump and gets sliced for his pains. Luckily Ophelia isn't, and Cassie also gave a little healing. MetallifeKuwagamon was caught on his off foot and decided to try to return the favor with Thunder Clap after skirting around and away from Ophelia's attack angle. Open Palm Strike-just kidding! Nameless basic attack against Lucemon.

"Oh, come now. A love of yourself is still love, old friend," Lucemon mused. "Don't think your heart is so incapable of it. Yet I'd be remiss not to say that your assessment is spot-on. Destruction, creation . . . they're all related, wouldn't you say? And much as with all things, I'd say you need to understand them both to truly understand either.
Besides. If I'd be unwilling to push you to your limits, would you have shown nearly as much strength? I'd be doing you all a disservice to hold back, especially when you've proven more than capable of taking it." For someone eager to punish their opponents for talking instead of fighting, they were sure willing to talk while fighting! And yet, in a bizarre way, they managed to stay internally consistent despite embodying such contradictions. Were they even malicious? Or just careless?
Or did they care too much?
Nevertheless, as Matadormon began his dance, Lucemon remained passive. Their eyes followed the matador's movements carefully, keeping an eye out for any hint of tricks up the matador's long, flowing sleeves. At the same time, they didn't let the matador monopolize their focus. They occasionally let their gaze wander to Ophelia or MetallifeKuwagamon, but upon noting their stances returned focus right back to Matadormon. If Ophelia or MetallifeKuwagamon started to move, it'd be all too easy to tell. But any of Matadormon's flowing movements could have been the start of a new attack. Despite his insistence to the contrary, he was really the biggest threat on the battlefield right now!
At least, that's what Lucemon thought. Sound travels faster than any attack, and that meant MetallifeKuwagamon drew first blood in this engagement. Lucemon's perfectly clear hearing only meant that they were all too subject to the attack, and they cringed away from it while putting their hands up to their ears. That left the perfect opening for Matadormon's swords, the five flying at Lucemon in near sync. Two were parried away by Lucemon's upper wings. Two were parried away by Lucemon's lower wings. Lucemon was forced to resort to catching the last one between their feet, the blade mere inches away from striking their heart.
With their arms, wings, and legs all occupied, there was nothing Lucemon could do to avoid or block Ophelia's strike. Their eyes widened in shock as they realized they had been opened up, and widened all the further as Ophelia's spear piercing right into their side. They let out a shout of pain, their look of shock slowly melting into a smile. "Excellent teamwork!" they called out, voice still a touch too loud due to the damage to their hearing.
They flexed their legs to fling their caught blade upwards, catching it as they released their hands from their ears. In a single, smooth motion they brought it down towards Ophelia's lance, hoping to shatter through it in a single blow. Even if they couldn't, it'd at least stop Ophelia from keeping them impaled on the other end of it. "Keep up the pressure like that and watch as your foes are forced to remain on the back foot. Why, they'd never stand a chance!" they explained, before looking back at the blade. "Say, mind if I borrow that idea?" they asked Ophelia, before giving the blade a few testing swipes. It burst into a plume of light, chains of darkness coiling around it.
Upon drawing this new blade of light and dark, they . . . tossed it high into the sky? Okay, Lucemon, what the hell are you doing this time?
Combat Log: Lucemon is stunned by the sudden, high-pitched noise from MetallifeKuwagamon, and loses the use of their hands while plugging their sensitively perfect ears. While able to parry Matadormon's blades with their wings and feet, Matadormon's role as an entertainer succeeds perfectly. Too distracted by their onslaught, Ophelia is able to cleanly stab Lucemon in the side. Lucemon takes the blade caught in their feet and uses it to try and shatter Ophelia's weapon, then imbues the sword with light and darkness. They then toss it high into the air. That's it. Really.

This was… not the most flattering position for the great Demon Lord to be in; Their hands covering their own ears, they had to block four of the flying rapiers with their angelic and demonic wings respectively, while holding the fifth one between the soles of their feet. Matadormon was tempted to throw a sixth rapier just so he could see Lucemon catch it with their teeth like a good doggo. However, Ophelia struck at that time, capitalizing on the fallen angel’s vulnerable state to pierce their side with her axe that had turned into a spear! They were hurt, to be sure, but still managed to congratulate the three Ultimates for what they considered excellent teamwork. “Teamwork? Ah, sí! I totally meant to support my valued teammates!” The haughty Demon King claimed, although his tone sounded more confused than confident. Had he been trying to do his own thing, which only happened to be advantageous for the rest of the team? Whatever the case really was, one shouldn’t take a colorfully-dressed, dancing vampire’s words at face value. Speaking of his vampirism, Matadormon’s beak-shaped muzzle opened up, swallowing the scarce data that floated out of Lucemon’s open wound. “I’ll take this, muchas gracias~”Feeling slightly invigorated from a combination of data-sucking and Cassie’s healing bubbles, the vampiric bullfighter leaped into the air, staring down the Demon Lord of Pride as they tossed their newly created sword higher into the sky. “Do you like playing with swords, Lucy? Have some more! Asalto de Flechas!” He exclaimed, unleashing a seemingly endless rain of flying rapiers from his long sleeves, all of them aimed towards Lucemon. They might have blocked his previous attack, but how would they fare against that many projectiles thrown at once? OOC Notes: - Matadormon is healed slightly by the combination of Data Vampire and Cassie’s Bubble Aid. - He leaps into the air and attacks Lucemon with Asalto de Flechas. Move used: Asalto de Flechas [Attack]: Fires the countless rapiers hidden in its sleeves. Each rapier that gets lodged into the enemy causes a tiny amount of data to leak out, adding damage over time and slowly sapping their strength. Has a 3 turn cooldown.

MetallifeKuwagamon's Thunderclap would make even Ophelia wince briefly, despite the fact it wasn't aimed at her; her sensitive hearing picking it up a bit more easily than she would enjoy. It only caused her brief discomfort, though - whereas for Lucemon, it caused them a whole lot of trouble. Between MetallifeKuwagamon putting Lucemon off-balance, and Matadormon occupying their attention, Ophelia was able to easily land a blow; the spear sinking into their side. A low rumble would escape Ophelia's throat, excitement heightening as her tempo began to build once more; even as the Berserker Protocol would wear off, allowing the adrenaline rushing thru her veins to die down a little. She wasn't about to back down easily, though. Even as Lucemon struck the spear - shattering the crystalline portion of her Azure Fang - it would reform just as quickly as it broke, shaping itself into that of a pike this time around as Ophelia hopped back a couple of paces. Even if the spear were to stay impaled, Ophelia didn't want to stick around in close proximity to Lucemon while Joker let down his rain of rapiers at the demonic angel. The sword that Lucemon had thrown in the sky, too - that they had charged with light and dark - didn't bode well, either. And so, while Matadormon was putting on more pressure, Ophelia would take the chance to prepare herself; exhaling sharply as a sheen of frost began to settle and freeze over her fur, hardening it once more in her usual Frost Veil. Cassie, too, wasted no time in preparing; readying of her Invigorating Waters by blowing a single bubble, before launching it at Ophelia with a headbutt and cheering "Go get 'em, Ophi!" with a big smile. At the call, Ophelia would glance back to Cassie; before grinning briefly, flashing the Gomamon a thumbs up. Certainly, it didn't buff her quite as much as it might've if they were closer in stage - even the increase of adrenaline in her veins was only by a little - but it was still something to give her that little bit of edge in what was likely to come. Readied, Ophelia would dart in as the last of the rapiers began to fall, capitalizing on Matadormon's distraction to attempt to strike at Lucemon once more with her pike; snarling as she jabbed forward and aimed at the wings, to try and limit the demon lord's ability to fly away.
- Though the crystalline portion of Azure Fang does break, it quickly reforms into a pike, and doesn't appear to throw off Ophelia's tempo at all - the Panjyamon bouncing back a couple paces. - Preparing herself for whatever the sword in the sky may fare, Ophelia buffs herself with Frost Veil - Cassie, too, uses Invigorating Waters on Ophelia to prepare her the tiniest bit more - Once readied, Ophelia darts in to strike at Lucemon with her pike; using Matadormon's Asalto de Flechas as a distraction - Tempo increase to 2 stacks Ophelia's LogMove Used:[ABILITY; RAM] Frost Veil: A layer of frost freezes over Ophelia's fur/armor, hardening it and protecting her from outside effects. "Good move!" Hiroyo called as she watched Lucemon stumble and cover their ears after Metallifekuwagamon's clap. Her hands curled into expectant fists as she leaned forward, watching the materialized swords begin fly toward the Demon Lord. There was no way they could possibly block all of them with their hands busy! ... "How?" Hiroyo shrieked. She pointed her shaking free hand at Lucemon who apparently didn't need thumbs to catch swords. She knew they were a Demon Lord, and also several levels stronger than those attacking them but wasn't this a bit too much? Didn't this just teeter just a bit too much into the realm of improbability even for the Digital World? "Hey, hey, heyheyhey, am I seeing this right now?" She asked Yuko, turning toward her with disbelief written on her face. "I didn't like, hit my head when we ran earlier right? I'm not dreaming right now right?" She reached up and began to feel under her hat for the lump that surely had to be hiding there to make what she'd just seen possible. What other possibility could it be?
Hearing the shriek from his partner the bug of metal and stretchy flesh had to snort. When even he and his components had been caught off guard by the scene, well, it was understandable why she was also haven't a hard time wasn't it? He couldn't recall seeing a scene like that in any of his previous memories. Luckily there was a limit to how much Lucemon could catch and Ophelia found it with her spear. Metallifekuwagamon jerked backward and then hovered further back out of the way as he watched his teammates leap into the fray. Whether Matadormon meant to help or not was irrelevant, the fact was that the flamboyant figure had and he respected him for it. He respected Ophelia too, for the way she just didn't quit. He wasn't going to either. He took a deep breath, the plates of his armor expanding as he breathed in deep and focused. There had been something there earlier when he had sent the wall of lasers at the debris from the island. Something that wasn't just a glitch or error with his attack protocols. It had been extra power and he pulled on that now to give his next move a little extra oof. He kekpt himself light on his feet, prepared to dodge or block Lucemon's next move if the need called for it.
Combat Log MetallifeKuwagamon contemplates the craziness of it all. MetallifeKuwagamon backs off and prepares to dodge/block MovesHotWire - MetallifeKuwagamon has the ability to overload its circuits to alter an attack, it takes a full turn to enact the alterations. "To be perfect is to know how to best leverage all parts of your body," Lucemon chided. "Dexterous work may be beyond a leg's ability, but what I've done is no different than a samurai blocking a blade with his bare hands. Perhaps even you would be capable of such, if steered right."
For Matadormon's data drain, scarce was the right term. Only a single, immaculate drop of data drifted from Lucemon to Matadormon. Yet perhaps that would be enough. As soon as the dancing vampire snapped his jaws shut, all of his wounds began forcibly knitting shut. Any fatigue he had from the fight melted away. His senses would sharpen. Doubts, worries, or concerns on his mind faded away, one by one. In their place was a feeling beyond warmth, almost euphoric in nature. The mere act of standing still at this very moment would feel more pleasurable than any moment he could bring to mind.
Such perfection resonated in his attacks, too. Matadormon's onslaught of swords would be triple the size and triple the intensity that he expected, the rapiers engorging into blades nearly as big as Lucemon. In past encounters, he was the distraction and Ophelia was the closer. Yet this time, it was Matadormon who drew Lucemon's attention and exhilaration. They sprang back, unleashing a heavy flap of their wings to slow the approach of the blades. Their unerring, straight trajectory became a downward plunge, each falling with enough force to leave a gash in the earth. As Lucemon saw this, a grin spread from ear to ear across their face.
This time, Lucemon wouldn't let themselves be caught so off guard. As soon as they landed back on their feet they sprang forward, Ophelia's stab grazing mere inches behind their wings. Their target was the hilt of Matadormon's grounded blades, which they landed on with surprising agility and grace. As soon as they did they hopped into the air, looking high in the sky.
Their target, the blade they had flung into the air, was falling right back down towards them.
Lucemon didn't waste any time. They spun as they rose through the air, craning a single leg back with surprising flexibility. At the apex of its position it had crested to nearly rest against their head. They chose this moment to strike, all of the momentum of their spin and forcefulness of their arc transferring to the hilt of their fallen blade in a single, perfectly-executed kick. Unlike the slow yet inevitable approach of the falling island, this was a projectile on a mission. It rocketed down to Matadormon's location at speeds dangerously close to terminal velocity.
As soon as it hit the ground, the sword would practically explode from the force of impact. A maelstrom of light and darkness would erupt in its place, large enough to practically swallow up the battlefield. Any unlucky enough to be in the reach of the maelstrom would be buffeted around by sheer force, all while darkness chilled them to the bone and light seared their flesh. Any who were able to make it out of the way would find themselves being pulled towards it, the sheer suction of the maelstrom threatening to overwhelm all but a full speed run.
Rasielmon was learning this the hard way. Once more reaching out to snatch Yuko, Hiroyo, and Cassie out of harm's way, the angel's golden wings shuddered in agony as she tried to fly away from the maelstrom. Despite her best efforts, the exertion was leaving her sweating and panting. If those under her protection looked closely, they would even notice her flight path wavering.
Yet Lucemon hovered in the eye of the maelstrom, completely unaffected.
Combat Log: Draining Lucemon's data leaves Matadormon downright euphoric, fully healing his wounds and fatigue. It also makes his attacks empowered beyond his wildest dreams. How long can this last? Lucemon uses a gust of wind to push back against Matadormon's empowered blade storm, then springs forward to barely avoid Ophelia's lunge. They use the fallen blade storm as a bit of extra height for springing into the sky, whereupon the blade they hurled in the air awaits. Upon meeting the blade in midair, Lucemon kicks it down to earth with disgusting amounts of force. A whirlwind and light and darkness spreads from the impact zone, threatening to buffet, chill, and burn any within its range while sucking anyone outside closer to it.

Hiroyo was in shock and disbelief, and frankly so was Yuko, seeing Lucemon perform one impossible deed after the other. “Honestly, I dunno… You’d think that it wouldn’t get crazier than throwing a freaking island at us, but he keeps doing crazier shit. Heck, everyone here does crazy shit!” The Japanese delinquent responded, pinching Hiroyo’s arm and then her own, confirming that neither of them were dreaming. “Nope, we’re definitely awake!”Speaking of things being awake - or woke - Matadormon had, for lack of a better word - gotten high on just a tiny sliver of the Great Demon Lord’s power. “Oooooh, this power… this power! Deliciosa, exquisita, gloriosa! I feel like a brand new mon! I want more! More! Mooooore!!” Fully healed and invigorated, the vampiric bullfighter howled with everlasting mad glee, relishing that newfound degree of strength he suddenly possessed. Yet, Lucemon was able to gracefully dodge his surprisingly powerful attack, as well as Ophelia’s follow-up spear assault. Then, the sword of light and darkness came back with quite the vengeance, being kicked down by the fallen angel’s mighty foot so hard, it created a positively gigantic maelstrom upon impact with the ground, the massive release of dark and light energy devouring anything and anyone in its wake. Rasielmon frantically tried to carry a rather frightened Yuko, Hiroyo and Cassie out of harm’s way. Matadormon though? Despite being the closest to the calamity, he wasn’t running away from it, but straight into it instead, howling with laughter as he did, and even as the burning light seared his newly repaired robes, turning them once again into tattered rags that hung loosely on his person. “Ahahahahahaha! Oh, how beautiful! What a beautiful stage for our épico showdown! The Demon King of the Digital World versus the Great Demon Lord of Pride! The Clown Prince of the Dark Area versus the angel that rebelled against the almighty programmer in the sky!”The self-proclaimed Demon King jumped sky-high, dancing in the air and riding the roaring, spiraling winds, floating seamlessly thanks to his lightweight body. Even though his body was hurting, his already high confidence had received such a boost that he didn’t even care. His purple shades cracked and even the blades he held in his hands shattered from the sheer pressure, yet he still managed to reach the eye of the storm, looking down on Lucemon who stood idly in the middle of it. “Buena noches, my amigo! You might want to contact your cronies and tell them to get the paperwork ready, because after this I’m gonna be the new Demon Lord of Pride!” Matadormon gloated, before descending upon Lucemon at incredible speed, no doubt another side effect of this power rush that had overtaken him. “This is my ultimate attack! Patada Trompeta de Mariposa!” The flamboyant vampire roared, pointing his blade-shaped foot downward for what was shaping up to be a devastating flying kick! OOC Notes: - Thanks to the status dubbed “High on Pride”, Matadormon powers through the maelstrom of light and darkness, ignoring the pain, while riding the winds all the way up to the eye of the storm. - He then descends upon Lucemon at remarkable speed, aiming to hit him with his strongest move, Patada Trompeta de Mariposa! Effects: High on Pride: Draining Lucemon's data leaves Matadormon downright euphoric, fully healing his wounds and fatigue. It also makes his attacks empowered beyond his wildest dreams. How long can this last? Move used: Patada Trompeta de Mariposa [Attack]: Attacks with a mighty kick from the sky, drawn from his unique martial art, the "Bulldog". The power scales from Ultimate-level to higher than Ultimate-level, but lower than the average Mega-level, the more data the enemy is "bleeding". Has a 5 turn cooldown.
Cooldowns: Suerte de Capote: 0 turns Asalto de Flechas: 2 turns Patada Trompeta de Mariposa: 5 turns

It seemed that backing away when Ophelia did had been a good idea; the way that Matadormon's swords would grow in absurd size and intensity proving just that. Even amidst the thrill of the fight, and her frustration at Lucemon's dodge, the Panjyamon couldn't help but briefly pause to gaze upon the vampire bullfighter's sudden change in strength and demeanor; clearly startled. "What in the fuck...?" She'd mutter; glancing first to Matadormon, then to what little traces of Lucemon's liquid data there still was, spilled on the battlefield and soaked into the earth from when she had stabbed them. Just a little drop of their data did that...? For a brief moment, Ophelia felt tempted to try a taste of it, herself; if only so that she could know how it felt, yet... "... Tch." At the same time, watching Matadormon go completely bonkers put her off from it, too. Like hell she'd take something that makes her act like a crazy dumbass like that...! Besides; taking in a Demon Lord's data of all things probably wasn't very healthy, in the grand scheme of things. Drawing her focus back to the fight before she could get scolded for being distracted, Ophelia would glance up to Lucemon to see what they were about to do - and it, safe to say, wasn't going to be pretty. She'd watch as they leapt upwards to meet the enchanted sword that they threw before, and almost immediately she would brace herself in preparation; knowing that something big was likely coming. How big, though, perhaps was what she underestimated; a practical explosion of light and dark bursting outwards from where the sword impacted! Having practically no time to dodge, Ophelia snarled in pain as the burst washed over her; the chill hurting all the same, but not bothering her as much as the searing light did, and the Frost Veil that protected her taking up the brunt of the damage. It still hurt nonetheless, but Ophelia was not idle; fighting through the pain as she charged forward, into the eye of the resulting whirlwind, with every intention of continuing this fight...! Even as the maelstrom pushed and pulled her about, it seemed that it only hindered her to a very limited degree; Ophelia otherwise easily bursting out into the eye of the storm before it could harm her any further. The light-bleached burns on her were hard to see, but still present; and the ice of her Frost Veil seemed a little thicker in places where the darkness had chilled her. But despite it all, she was still standing, still ready to fight, as a low snarl rose up from her throat, and she charged forward..! Her pike would, once more, change in shape; turning into that of a massive poleaxe, which Ophelia would pull back with... Before swinging it in a vicious Glaciersplitter with a great roar, as she attempted to follow up on the vampire's powerful kick attack...! Whilst the fighting continued, though... Cassie would squeak in fear; huddling close to Rasliemon, as she was snatched up and out of harm's way. Once more, the feline angel was taking damage; and the little seal could see that Rasielmon was hurting, prompting worry from the Gomamon-X. "A... Are you okay, Rasielmon...?" Cassie would question softly; briefly nuzzling the other. A high-pitched beeping from her backpack would draw her attention, though; as she briefly fussed in Rasielmon's arms to pull out what looked to be a phone, and bringing it up to her ear. Who might be calling her, one might wonder?
- Ophelia is struck by the initial burst of light and darkness; though the brunt of the damage is softened by her Frost Veil, and she is able to force her way into he eye of the maelstrom - in part thanks to her Unerring Tenacity - before she takes further damage. - In retaliation, she follows up Joker's kick with her own Glaciersplitter, in an attempt to cleave Lucemon! - Tempo rises to 3 stacks. Invigorating Waters wears off. (am also using my updated moves with Bone's okay, as a quick note) Ophelia's LogMove Used:[ATTACK] Glaciersplitter: Using preferably a heavy or otherwise large weapon, Ophelia swings it down at her foe with great force; the sheer strength of the attack being able to fracture the ground beneath her and her target in its wake! [3 Turn Cooldown] Passives:[PASSIVE] Unerring Tenacity: Ophelia's stubborn and tenacious nature extends to even a physical level; once she gets moving, she is almost impossible to stop..! She is able to break free of grapples, as well as effects that rely on restraining her on a physical level; such as being chained, tied down, or tangled up. Additionally, she is able to overcome environmental effects that might slow her down - such as difficult to traverse terrain, tremors, or strong winds.
Effects:Tempo - 3/5 Stacks; 12% increase to Attack and Accuracy this turn, 18% next turn Frost Veil - 1/2 Turns; 50% Defense Increase, Protection from Environmental Effects Invigorating Waters - 2/2 Turns; Approx. 2% increase to Attack and Speed due to stage differences Cooldowns:Winter's Gasp - Once Per Thread Ice Buckler - 2/2; Ready Next Turn Frost Veil - Waiting Glaciersplitter - 0/3 Cards Used [2/3]:Gazimon Berserker Protocol Cassie's Log Passives: [PASSIVE] The Eager Medic: Cassie has natural potential as a healer, and her bodyshape and natural strength lends well to devastating tackles - but her bodyshape also leads her to be a little awkward on land, and in non-snowy or non-icy conditions. Her healing is 30% stronger than a normal digimon's, and her attacks 15%, but she's 30% slower - except for when in water, or on snow/ice.
Cooldowns: Bubble Aid - 2/3 Invigorating Waters - 0/2

"Ow! Thank you." The pain receptors in her arm did their duty and reported the pinch as a quick burst of mild pain to Hiroyo's brain. With that timely and obvious feedback she really couldn't deny it anymore. She had thought she was used to the weirdness the Digital World had to offer: talking animals, humanoid shapes made out of fire, even humans turning into monsters! And she was for the most part! Now though she was finding her battle experience was extremely lacking. From lasers that brought up destructive winds to cutting an island in half to throwing a truly crazy number of knives - this battle was on a far different scale from everything she had seen before. As Rasielmon grabbed her it really hit her - the reality of the situation not just the Angel's arm. She clung to the golden armor and spoke wonderingly, her voice almost lost beneath the roar of the fight. "This is what it's going to be like from now on? Whenever they fight with all their power this is what's going to happen.?"She kept tracking the fight with her eyes, or at least what limited parts of it she could see. Lucemon high in the air. The excitement in Matadormon's voice. The pull and push of the malestrom. MetallifeKuwagamon couldn't quite see what prompted the sudden and explosive improvement of Matadormon's movements and abilities but he could see the results easily. More power, more speed, more enthusiasm and reckless abandon. "Tch! Don't get so full of yourself!"If Hiroyo had cards he would be able to pull off that kind of sudden power boost too! His eyes followed the upwards path of the sword and plotted the possible impact zones. What trajectory would it move on? How far did he need to travel to be safely out of the way of whatever that attack was? Sparks flickered across his body as Lucemon reached the sword and MetallifeKuwagamon was already turning. He reached for his personal tailwind as he raced away from the impact zone, all thrusters flaring bright as he pushed them to maximum in his attempt to get away. His grasp on the wind proved to be tenuous and he felt it slip away as he attempted to outrun the storm. He saw more than felt the flashes of light and dark behind him. He swivelled around and flared his thrusters again to sap his speed and stabilize his position. Matadormon was rushing in, heedless of his newly mended garments ripping and tearing in the conflux of light and dark. The cyborg focused on Lucemon in the center of it. He could feel himself being tugged forward by the wind and it was tempting to give in, to rush in the way his compatriots were if only to try to end the spar sooner. He lowered his head with a growl and ignored the way he was steadily being tugged forward to lift his hands up, palms outward to face the ports embeded their toward Lucemon. The static subsided and a beam of light lanced outward toward Lucemon. It was identical to the one Lucemon had seen before: the redirecting beam that had brought down one of their color coded clones previously. If Lucemon continued to do as they had done before and use one of MetallifeKuwagamon's allies as a defense against the beam of light they would be treated to the site of it passing harmlessly through the obstacle to continue on toward the Demon Lord himself. The gesalt 'mon hoped it would be enough. He didn't have the strength to keep himself completely out of the wind's influence and was steadily being pulled in. Combat Log
MetallifeKuwagamon evades Sword-wrought Maelstrom though Math and Flying Really Fast. He loses his Tailwind due to the chaotic nature of the attack. He then Hot Wires Parallex Blast and fires it at Lucemon. He Tired.

Rasielmon smiled weakly, stumbling a bit as she settled back onto her feet. Nevertheless, she stood tall, wings flared out and shedding a soft light. Perhaps that would be sufficient enough distraction from the stray pixels of data that started to drift up from her back. "I'm fine. I promise," she assured Cassie. "I won't let a thing happen to me until I'm sure you're all safe. You can count on that."
She couldn't help but laugh softly as Hiroyo asked about high level Digimon battles. "It's true that the full, untapped might of Digimon can be terrifying to behold," she explained. "However, Lucemon has a tendency to take things a lot further than they need to go. Even other high-level Digimon tend not to get this flashy, let alone this dangerous. And I fear the more they're encouraged to continue, the worse it'll become . . ."
Yet how could Lucemon not be encouraged? Their face lit up like a child on Christmas Day as they saw Matadormon take to their blood. "I'd like to see you try!" they cheered, less a smug dismissal and more a genuine invitation for Matadormon to give it his all. They settled into a fighting stance, beckoning Matadormon forward, then charged forward to meet his flying kick with one of their own. Their own guard by now had completely dropped; it seemed less like Lucemon wanted to protect themselves, and more like they wanted to feel Matadormon's best head on while matching it with a move of equal power.
They bounced back to the earth, forming a massive crater as they landed. Between the initial impact of the sword and Lucemon's recent fall, the battlefield was starting to look like a giant donut. Despite taking such a massive hit, however, Lucemon was quick to kip up to their feet. They turned their head and spat on the ground, covering the sight with a wing to avoid grossing anyone out. Despite that, they looked up towards the sky watching the blood-red data trail from where they spat. "So that's what it's like getting hit by me . . . amazing," they said, voice distant and dripping with awe.
Unfortunately, they didn't have much chance to go over their thoughts. Before they could even sum them up, Ophelia came charging at them with a massive poleaxe. Clearly, something was up with Lucemon, because they hadn't even mustered up the attention to dodge. The axe bit hard into Lucemon's side, hitting so hard that it knocked the fallen angel right over. This strike, just as impactful yet notably distinct from Matadormon's perfection-tinted strike, snapped Lucemon back into it. They shook their head and turned towards MetallifeKuwagamon, just in time to notice a massive laser hurtling their way. They grabbed the fallen, burnt-out blade, swinging it to parry the laser in flawless fashion.
Yet the laser didn't move one bit. In fact, it phased right through Lucemon's blade, searing their shoulder instead. For the first time this match Lucemon had taken three clean hits in a row, this laser shot sending them stumbling back. Nevertheless, it was but three footsteps before they were able to catch themselves, digging a heel into the ground to steady their stance. Perhaps a different Demon Lord would lose their geniality by now, but Lucemon? They simply tossed the blade over their shoulder, clapping excitedly. "Bravo, bravo!" they cheered. "You're just full of surprises, aren't you? Why, I'm so excited, I-"
Lucemon doubled over for a second, clutching their face. Through a spread of their fingers, one could see that their skin had turned a deep purple, and their one visible eye was a bright, shining yellow. However, they shook their head, and when they moved their hand they looked exactly the same as normal. What had just happened there? "Not yet, not yet," they muttered quietly to themselves, before standing up straight and flaring out their wings. Despite the many attacks they had taken, they still seemed filled to the brim with energy.
The same couldn't quite be said for Matadormon. Lucemon's data would have just worked its way through his system by this point, leaving the euphoric feeling torn away from him all too quickly. What once felt like the norm would now feel hollow, like something all too important was lacking. Worse still, the pain that had once faded to nothingness would now wrack Matadormon's body with twice the intensity. And that was before even considering the flying kick that Lucemon aimed to counter his own with!
Lucemon looked around, surveying the maelstrom around them, before taking to the air with a hefty flap of their wings. They outstretched a hand, the gales of darkness and light seeming to intensify as they did so, before crushing their fist closed. As they did so the maelstrom, too, would start to collapse inwardly. What was once the safe eye of the storm would quickly become a dense nexus of elemental power, all of the energy from the outside now flooding towards the inside.
Normally this would be met with some sort of advice, taunt, or conversation. Yet Lucemon seemed strangely quiet. Being on the outside of the maelstrom, Cassie, MetallifeKuwagamon, and the humans would be able to see that they almost seemed lost in thought.
Combat Log: Lucemon answers Matadormon's flying kick with one of their own, taking the hit directly in order to deliver one of equal magnitude to Matadormon. Nevertheless, they are hurt so badly that they are flat-out amazed by it, leaving them open to a further hit from Ophelia. By the time they start actually putting up a defensive effort again, they try to block an intangible hit and take a direct blow to the shoulder. After a . . . strange reaction to this hit, Lucemon takes to the air and assumes control of the maelstrom. With a single grasp of their fist it begins to collapse inwards, light and dark energies flooding what was once the safe eye of the storm. Lucemon is thinking.

According to Rasielmon, Lucemon had a tendency to be overly flashy and extravagant. They sounded a lot like a certain clown that Yuko knew. Apparently, this wasn’t even the full extent of what they could do, an information that caused the young Tamer’s jaw to drop. “You’re kidding right? How the heck can it get worse than destroying entire islands and creating typhoons outta nowhere?!” She exclaimed, before Cassie’s D-Terminal started beeping in a high-pitched tune, interrupting the girl’s rant. “Is this really the best time to answer a call…?”Meanwhile, Matadormon had certainly seen better days. Despite landing a sizeable hit on the Great Demon Lord, he hadn’t come out of their epic clash unscathed, as Lucemon had countered his mighty kick with a kick of their own. Worse yet, the high from absorbing their powerful data had worn off, and all the pain that had built up so far racked the vampire’s body, forcing him to his knees. “Ah… ha… ha… I went all out. That was foolish of me…” He laughed weakly, his entire body shaking in his effort to at least remain in a kneeling position and not collapse on the ground. Seeing Lucemon’s skin turn purple for a mere moment, something flashed in Matadormon’s triangular eyes; Worry. “Lucy… You said you just wanted a fun, friendly fight, but if you’re thinking of using ‘that’, this won’t be a game anymore. What was your real plan coming here, I wonder…” The self-proclaimed Demon King mused out loud. He wasn’t even speaking Spanish anymore. That’s how serious shit had gotten! Lucemon’s plans, at least for the time being, were nothing good for them. Seeing the Demon Lord flying away, while the maelstrom of light and darkness intensified around them, was all that Matadormon needed to see in order to know that they had to get outta there and fast! The vampiric bullfighter managed to get up, but he wasn’t exactly in tip-top shape at the moment, so he had to rely on Ophelia’s defence. He moved behind the white lioness and nudged her lightly. “You’re the one with the frost armor, señorita, so it’s up to you to get us outta here. Find a weak spot and push forward, I’ll follow close behind.” OOC Notes: - Being badly damaged, Matadormon shields himself behind Ophelia, suggesting that she finds a weak spot in the maelstrom and pushes forward before they get crushed. Passives: Old Timer's Knowledge [Passive]: Upon meeting a new Digimon - except those of the "Unknown" family and beings that aren't really Digimon - he can figure out its Species, Attribute, Family and Type. Cassie would jolt a bit at Yuko's question; bringing the phone down, and covering the mic to it, so that it wouldn't unintentionally pick up the others' chatter mid-call. "It's Valt 'n Ryou; they're probably in their own situation, if they're calling me and Ophi," She'd murmur to Yuko; a certain uncertainty etched in her face, with the way her brows were tilted back. She, for a moment, wondered whether to mention Leviamon; but would decide against it, unless they questioned further. In any case, between what sounded like the two of them were in the middle of a storm, while Rasielmon was hurt, and the others were fighting like crazy... It was all wearing a little on her nerves; and though she wouldn't admit it in the middle of a fight of all times, hearing from her mate-to-be was rather soothing, even if the circumstances weren't the best... .. and, speaking of circumstances... Cassie indeed didn't notice the stray data that was drifting from Rasielmon; but the other's weakness and stumbling wasn't necessarily comforting. "You'll get my next bubbles, okay?" She'd tell Rasielmon - adding "You seem a lot more hurt than the others, so no arguments!" She'd puff her chest a bit in attempting to appear authoritative; though she appeared less that, and more pouty than anything. She was indeed worried for the feline angel, though; and she wanted to make sure that Rasielmon would be okay..! Meanwhile, in the midst of the fight in the eye of the maelstrom... Ophelia couldn't help but furrow her brows slightly, as her Glaciersplitter would cut into Lucemon a bit more easily than she expected; the fallen angel being sent tumbling from the strike. They were starting to really press the beatdown on them; and whilst it did send a certain sense of satisfaction thrilling through her, she couldn't help but notice how Lucemon had been quite distracted by the simple awe of their clash with Matadormon. And even after that strike, and MetallifeKuwagamon's own follow-up attack with the laser... Lucemon was starting to act a bit... Strangely. She'd hesitate for but a second, being able to spot the sudden strange change that Lucemon had gone through for only but a second; before things were suddenly normal once more. Yet, that hesitance would also be what would let Lucemon take flight without any interference; the Demon Lord exiting the maelstrom, and leaving both her and Matadormon behind. And speaking of the vampiric digimon... A nudge from behind would prompt her ears to twitch and swivel behind her; her eyes were focused on her surroundings, but her ears tilted in Matadormon's direction was an indicator that she was listening to him. Indeed, the maelstrom about them was starting to intensify; a prelude to something big, more likely than not. Charging in through the swirling darkness and light was likely just going to shred them up all the same, though, so... "... If you ask me, the only 'weak spot' we got, is up." Ophelia would mutter lowly; her tail flicking, and a brief growl escaping with an exhale. Not giving Matadormon much of a warning, she would suddenly wrap an arm around his torso; lifting up the comparatively skinny and lightweight vampire under her arm, as she made a great leap upwards..! To attempt to leap the maelstrom, on its own, was probably not a great idea; but one thing that Ophelia knew, was to trust her gut instincts. She didn't understand just about everything this body of hers could do; but her body understood itself, as strange of a notion as that might be. Acting on these instincts was like second nature to her - simply following what felt natural, what felt right, for the moment; and just as it looked like as though she reached the apex of her leap, that she wasn't going to clear the maelstrom... ... She would suddenly feel something underneath her feet, ice that she could dig her claws into for traction, as she leapt once again...! Suspended platforms of ice were appearing just where Ophelia needed them; allowing her to make a Hail-Mary leap out of the maelstrom just as it closed in on itself, bringing her - and Matadormon - to the safety of above...! In being this high up, it was easy for her to survey the battlefield; glancing to Lucemon, to Rasielmon and the others, and to MetallifeKuwagamon... "... HEY!" She would shout to MetallifeKuwagamon, to get the metallic insect's attention now that they were (relatively) safe. Once she had the other's attention, she would pull back the arm that was carrying Matadormon ... "Catch; and keep him safe..!" ... and with a swing of that same arm, she would toss the vampiric digimon down to MetallifeKuwagamon! It, perhaps, was not the most graceful of solutions; though it was likely the most efficient, given that she wasn't about to bring Matadormon with her as she pressed the offense...! She would ready her Azure Fang - it reshaping into that of a cavalry pike with a wicked-looking edge to it - as she continued to leap off of platforms to position herself above Lucemon; who seemed almost distracted, or in thought... Before leaping downwards against an upside-down platform, sending her careening down into the fallen angel with an impressive amount of inertia - her lance readied to impale them!
- Ophelia picks up Matadormon under one arm, and using Frozen Dragoon's platforms, leaps out of the maelstrom before it closes in on them..! - Once out of the maelstrom, she throws Matadormon to Metallife Kuwagamon... - ... then plunges downwards at Lucemon with the same Frozen Dragoon; using the built-up inertia to strike at them..! - Tempo increases to 4 stacks; Frost Veil wears off. Ophelia's LogMove Used:[ATTACK] Frozen Dragoon: Ophelia charges at the foe - producing suspended ice platforms underneath her feet to leap off of and maneuver thru the air as necessary - before using the built up inertia to slam into the foe with devastating strength! Though this does not affect her dodge rate, it can be used to flavor her dodge, to re-position herself, or to extend her reach to flying foes as necessary. [1 Turn Cooldown] Passives:[PASSIVE] Unerring Tenacity: Ophelia's stubborn and tenacious nature extends to even a physical level; once she gets moving, she is almost impossible to stop..! As a result, she is highly resistant - if not outright immune - to effects that influence her mind, emotions, or disposition, such as mind control, taunts, rage, fear, or pacification- unless she allows another digimon to influence her in this way. Effects:Tempo - 4/5 Stacks; 18% increase to Attack and Accuracy this turn, 24% next turn Frost Veil - 2/2 Turns; 50% Defense Increase, Protection from Environmental Effects Cooldowns:Winter's Gasp - Once Per Thread Frost Veil - 0/3 Glaciersplitter - 1/3 Frozen Dragoon - 0/1 Cards Used [2/3]:Gazimon Berserker Protocol Cassie's Log Passives: [PASSIVE] The Eager Medic: Cassie has natural potential as a healer, and her bodyshape and natural strength lends well to devastating tackles - but her bodyshape also leads her to be a little awkward on land, and in non-snowy or non-icy conditions. Her healing is 30% stronger than a normal digimon's, and her attacks 15%, but she's 30% slower - except for when in water, or on snow/ice.

Three attacks executed perfectly. Metallifekuwagamon felt his spirits soar as the hits land on Lucemon and when no retaliation is immediately forthcoming he let himself relax a little. "How's that for execution!" He gestured with a hand, his tone more gloating then questioning. Even his glitching voice can't dampen his spirits. "Are you still b̶o̷r̷e̷d̵ or have you found what you were l̸o̵o̴k̶i̵n̵g̵ for?"At the edge of the storm Lucemon's transformation is obscured by the forms of MettallifeKuwagamon' fellow fighters and the intermittent flashes of light and dark. The cyborg knows something has changed from the reactions of the lion and the matador. If he had teeth beneath his mask he would bare them in a fierce gloat. As it is he released a single sharp 'Ha!' as he watched Ophelia and Matadormon climb the cascading ice platforms. He considered them, then considered Lucemon. The temptation to launch another Vacuum Blast is strong even with his allies in the air as well but he fought the urge down. He focused on the rest of his repetoire. He could launch himself forward, taket he fight up close and personal. It'd be easy to let the storm pull him in. It would hurt but it'd be easier than resisting the constant pulling that required a dozen microadjustments of his thrusters and postioning to keep away from it. "HEY!" He looked up at Ophelia's voice, broken out of his thoughts, and watched as she heftd Matadormon up with one arm. She called out again and he understoodd the gist of it: catch the falling the vampire and ferry him to safety. He nodded then snapped off a quick laser shot at Lucemon - more distraction than an attempt to harm. "Got it!" He calls back then crouches, lets light and power build up beneath his feet before launching off in the direction of that brightly clothed figure. "Brace yourself!"It's the only warning he gave before he rocketed forward on an intercept course for Matadormon. He met him in the air cut his palm thrusters a moment before impact and reached out with both arms to grab the other digimon, swooping Joker-sama into his arms bridal style. "You sure did a number on the b̸o̶t̶h̸ ̴ of ya. Good work!" The cyborg turned his back to Lucemon and tried to ignore the blaring 'DANGER DANGER' warning his mind was throwing up in bold 22pt red font at the action. His goal was in sight, and focusing on Rasielmon for the first time brought a whole 'nother worry to mind. Shreds of data rising from her wings where she stood guarding the humans and Cassie. The sight only got worse as he approached with Matadormon and he drew in a hissing breath. "Looks like our r̸e̴f̵ ̵ ̷ isn't in good shape either. Why don't y̷o̴u̴ keep them safe for now?"
"Metallife! Are you going out again?" Hiroyo called out. She wiggled her way free of Rasielmon's arms and dropped to the ground in front of her gesalt-partner, swaying on her feet. He watched her carefully as he let Matadormon down, keeping an arm available if the vampiric digimon needs it for support. Honestly he's not feeling too steady himself but he nodded. Her face shifted to something pained but determined. "We don't have much time left."
He made note of how pale her face was beneath her tan, the smell of sweat even over her deoderant, how off-balance she was on her feet. He straighted up despite the aches from the places his armor was cracked open and broken and bounced a thumb against his chest. "I got this! Just sit back and watch!"With that he turned and leaped back toward the battlefield. No longer stuck to the ground he let his thrusters carry himself into the air on the same level of Lucemon as he made his way closer to the storm again. He was beginning to get use to the sway and shove of the air currents though, and as he reached he could feel his own personal connection stabilize itself.
Battle Log Fires a laser with power equivalent to a basic attack @ Lucemon MetallifeKuwagamon catches Matadormon and delivers him to Rasielmon's side.
