"If Lucemon keeps stacking the odds of this fight, the others could get really hurt. I'll need you to help me keep them safe, not worry about me," Rasielmon said, softly setting a hand on Cassie's head. Her wings folded over her back to smother the data drifting away from them. "Besides, I know I'm going to be okay. Future vision, remember?" There was pure confidence in Rasielmon's smile, even if it didn't quite match within her eyes. She could only hope that with how hectic the fight had been, Cassie would forget to call her bluff.
Rasielmon wasn't the only angel being worried about. Lucemon was roused from their thought. They looked down, flashing Matadormon a guilty smile. "Ah, and here I was hoping none of you would notice," they admitted. "I assure you, I have no plans on letting That happen. It'd put tonight on such a sour note, wouldn't it? And it'd bring our little game to such a sudden end. Why, I can't bear to think of it!" Their strange blend of genuine emotion and prideful posturing had returned. Had confronting their concern head-on eased it, or were they simply keeping the others' concerns at bay in the same was Rasielmon had tried?
Unfortunately, this assurance didn't mean the fight would end yet. Lucemon leaned away from the incoming laser, giving Ophelia and MetallifeKuwagamon enough time to get the roughed-up Matadormon away from the battlefield. Rather than correct this mistake and go after the fallen Joker, they instead opted to carefully watch Ophelia's ascent. She was as crafty as she was relentless, and by now Lucemon had learned that taking their eyes off of her was trouble. In fact, when Ophelia was level with them, Lucemon made a point of pushing themselves back with a hefty flap of their wings.
They didn't even consider that Ophelia wouldn't take the first strike. Instead she made a few more hops, reaching a platform over Lucemon's head. She then took advantage of this superior positioning to leap down, spear aimed right for Lucemon. The platforms had left Lucemon somewhat boxed in, and even a perfect being like them wouldn't be able to turn on a dime to get away from the attack in time.
What else could Lucemon do but fall? They curled into a cannonball and let themselves fall like a stone, a single push of their wings sending them hurtling downwards. Would Ophelia still hit them at this rate? Probably! Yet it would take her a lot longer to do so, with the two of them now moving at comparable velocities in the same direction.
Their fall would leave them unarmed. How could they attack with no free hands, no free wings, and not even any free feet? As they fell they looked up at Ophelia, their sparking eyes holding the answer. "Let's see which of us hits first!" they called out, the last warning before beams of pure light shot from their eyes. They were on a collision course right for Ophelia's chest and shoulder. Was Lucemon hoping an arm injury at a critical moment would soften the impact of her strike?
Regardless, unless Ophelia's aim was thrown completely off, her attack would hit the mark. And unless either she or Lucemon had any clever ideas, the ground would be next!
Combat Log: Joker is rescued without issue, thanks to a timely distraction from MetallifeKuwagamon and Ophelia's quick actions. As MetallifeKuwagamon brings him to safety, Ophelia enacts her attack plan. Not expecting an attack from above, Lucemon dodges the one way they know how: free falling. With Lucemon and Ophelia now racing towards the bottom, Lucemon tries one last technique to try and soften the inevitable blow: Space Ripper Stingy Eyes: Lucemon fires powerful beams of light from their eyes.

“Qué diablos está pasando?!” Matadormon exclaimed in dumbstruck shock as he was suddenly ensnared by the Panjyamon’s big, strong hands and carried off to safety. His slick and nimble figure made for very light cargo indeed. Almost light as a feather for someone of Ophelia’s strength. To say that part of him didn’t enjoy the free ride would be a flat lie, since every Demon King liked being spoiled every now and then… Less enjoyable was her tossing the unfortunate matador without warning, passing him over to MetallifeKuwagamon as if he was the world’s pointiest football. The mighty former clown let out a long, shrill, girly shriek as his body involuntarily traveled through the air at terminal velocity, thankfully being caught by the cyborg insect in time, who safely brought him back to the ground. Being left under the care of Rasielmon while the other two continued fighting Lucemon was certainly a hit on the self-proclaimed Demon King’s pride. “Ahh… Is this really it for me? No, I just need a break, then I’ll be back in action… Royal massager, my back is in dire need of some massaging!” The flamboyant bullfighter ordered, fully expecting Cassie to give him a back rub. Surprisingly, a pair of hands did start massaging his pained shoulders, but they weren’t a Gomamon’s chubby flippers. They were dainty, delicate human hands! “Yuko…?”The teenage Tamer flashed her partner a warm smile. “Who were you expecting? I’m the only one fit to be a royal massager! And listen, don’t worry. You did good out there.” Still, the girl couldn’t help looking towards the ensuing battle with a worried look. “I wonder how much longer the others have to go on before they have to call quits. Can they even call quits? Is that even an option? I mean, there’s technically nothing at stake in this fight.” She turned towards both Hiroyo and Rasielmon with a puzzled look. OOC Notes: - Matadormon takes a break this round. Passives: Old Timer's Knowledge [Passive]: Upon meeting a new Digimon - except those of the "Unknown" family and beings that aren't really Digimon - he can figure out its Species, Attribute, Family and Type. Furthermore, if that Digimon belongs in the Nightmare Soldiers or Dark Area families, he can also figure out its weaknesses, if any. Demon King's Charisma [Passive]: If the user was not hit by any attacks in the previous turn, reduce all of his cooldowns by 1. This ability itself is not affected by this, having a natural cooldown of 3 turns. Data Vampire [Passive]: Recovers a little health at the end of each turn by absorbing the data leaking from an enemy's open wounds. The amount of healing increases the more data the enemy is "bleeding". Speed Demon [Passive]: Matadormon is among the fastest of Digimon. This makes it harder for slower or bulkier Digimon to land a hit on him, as long as he keeps moving. Effects: None. Move used: None.

"Well... I can heal multiple people, too!" Cassie tried to argue against Rasielmon; even as she gently patted her head. Even in her stubbornness though, concern was clear in the Gomamon-X's eyes; and that concern only became more notable, as a weary Jokermon was brought to their side..! The little seal glanced between both Rasielmon and Joker, before deciding she knew what to do; using Bubble Aid once more! Producing two larger-than-usual bubbles - given that she was putting what was normally in three into two instead - one would go to Joker, in hopes of perking him back up and getting him battle-ready once more, while the other went to Rasielmon! "I probably shouldn't be rubbing your back, anyhow..." She'd comment; attempting to offer a humorous smile, adding "I sometimes don't know my own strength; and Dad says injuring your back is really bad..!"
Even with her attempts to lighten the mood a little, though... Yuko's comment brought up a good point. Glancing out towards the fight at hand... "Even if Lucemon offered to let them call it quits, I don't know if Ophelia would." She'd murmur; fidgeting a bit. "She's one to keep fighting until either someone else tells her it's time to stop, or until she literally can't keep fighting; even in spars..." Ophelia was a wild child, through and through; and Cassie knew this. If no one told her to stop, Ophelia probably would be more than happy fighting Lucemon until one of them KO'd! ... As for Ophelia, though... It seemed that lasers were not enough of a deterrent for the lioness; only adjusting in preparation for the incoming impact of the ground below, and growling sharply as the lasers burned into the fur of her shoulder and chest! Even with the damage done, though, the large lance that Ophelia was prepared to impale Lucemon with wasn't going to hurt any less, more likely than not. A good portion of the damage was typically from the built up inertia of her slamming into the foe, after all. If anything, the free fall might make it hurt more, depending on how things went...! As Lucemon impacted into the ground, Ophelia would not be far behind; the lance being the first thing to hit the ground, and impaling itself downwards into them, if they didn't have any tricks up their sleeve for getting out of the way..! Regardless of whether Lucemon got out of the way or not, the lance would sink partway into the ground below as well; softening some of the impact of the landing for Ophelia, and likely pinning Lucemon, if the attack landed. After her lance hit the ground, her feet and free hand would then impact next; spreadeagled somewhat, much like how a cat might, when landing from a tall height. And much like a cat, the impact didn't seem to do too much to her; unless Lucemon had something to soften the landing or handle the impact, it might've done more to them than it did to her...! Her breath was briefly knocked out of her, her limbs aching a bit in protest, but she was still alive. One hand would keep a tight grip on her Azure Fang - not wanting to exactly lose it, if Lucemon had a trick up their sleeve for getting away - as Ophelia straightened upwards, leaning against it briefly as she found her bearings. However, the lioness wasn't done; opening one of her hands, a second icy weapon would form - a shortsword, with a nasty serrated looking edge. It didn't look to be from the Azure Fang, though; looking comparatively crude and less refined, and also looking less like it was made out of crystal, and more just out of simple ice. Even if it was made out of ice, though, it still was plenty sturdy; lifting the blade up, Ophelia would use it to swing at Lucemon with a snarl - attempting to injure them, to make fighting all the more difficult for them!
- Cassie uses Bubble Aid on both Rasielmon and Joker, in an attempt to perk them up! - Meanwhile, Ophelia tanks Lucemon's Space Ripper Stingy Eyes like a champ, and seems to handle the fall mostly alright! - Frozen Dragoon is still on its course of impaling Lucemon, and threatens to pin them to the ground all the while, if they don't get out of the way! - Using her Cryokinesis noncombat passive, Ophelia produces a crude and serrated shortsword, to use Lionbreaker on Lucemon! - Tempo rises to 5 stacks. Ophelia's LogMoves Used: (including Frozen Dragoon for relevancy) [ATTACK] Frozen Dragoon: Ophelia charges at the foe - producing suspended ice platforms underneath her feet to leap off of and maneuver thru the air as necessary - before using the built up inertia to slam into the foe with devastating strength! Though this does not affect her dodge rate, it can be used to flavor her dodge, to re-position herself, or to extend her reach to flying foes as necessary. [1 Turn Cooldown] [ATTACK] Lionbreaker: Using preferably either a blunt weapon, or a weapon with a sharp edge, Ophelia swings at the enemy; aiming at tearing the muscle or fracturing limbs, and reducing attack by 30% for 2 turns. [2 Turn Cooldown] Passives:[PASSIVE] Unerring Tenacity: Ophelia's stubborn and tenacious nature extends to even a physical level; once she gets moving, she is almost impossible to stop..! She is able to break free of grapples, as well as effects that rely on restraining her on a physical level; such as being chained, tied down, or tangled up. Additionally, she is able to overcome environmental effects that might slow her down - such as difficult to traverse terrain, tremors, or strong winds.
[PASSIVE; RAM] Tempo: Ophelia is a scrapper who prefers getting up close and personal - and the more she fights, the easier it gets for her as she gets into the rhythm of it. For each turn that she makes a direct melee attack, she gains 1 stack of Tempo at the end of that turn - and for each turn that she doesn't make a melee attack, she loses 1 stack of Tempo at the end. She gets a 6% attack and accuracy increase for each stack she gets, capping at 30% attack and accuracy at 5 stacks.
[PASSIVE; RAM GIGA] Lionheart: Ophelia is stubborn, willful, and passionate - especially in the heat of battle. Those who try to influence her mind or emotions find it difficult to overcome this side of her - and more often than not, she powers thru from sheer will, and the sheer anger at someone trying to control her like such. As a result, she is highly resistant - if not outright immune - to effects that influence her mind, emotions, or disposition, such as mind control, taunts, rage, fear, or pacification- unless she allows another digimon to influence her in this way. Effects:Tempo - 5/5 Stacks; 24% increase to Attack and Accuracy this turn, 30% next turn Cooldowns:Winter's Gasp - Once Per Thread Frost Veil - 1/3 Glaciersplitter - 2/3 Frozen Dragoon - 1/1; Ready Next Turn Lionbreaker - Waiting Cards Used [2/3]:Gazimon Berserker Protocol Cassie's Log Move Used: [ABILITY] Bubble Aid: Cassie produces 1-3 bubbles filled with faintly glowing water chock-full of beneficial data, and launches each bubble at a digimon of her choice! Upon impact, the bubble pops; the water within healing the recipient as it absorbs into their body. Healing done is equally split between all bubbles. [3 Turn Cooldown] Passives: [PASSIVE] The Eager Medic: Cassie has natural potential as a healer, and her bodyshape and natural strength lends well to devastating tackles - but her bodyshape also leads her to be a little awkward on land, and in non-snowy or non-icy conditions. Her healing is 30% stronger than a normal digimon's, and her attacks 15%, but she's 30% slower - except for when in water, or on snow/ice.
Cooldowns: Invigorating Waters - 2/2; Ready Next Turn Bubble Aid - 0/3

"Just sit back and watch." MetallifeKuwagamon repeated to himself in a mumble as he skated back into the fray. His eyes were locked on the falling duo as he considered his options. With how close together they were his Vacuum Blast was out of the question, Parallex was more accurate but he could feel the strain on his systems and knew that empowering that move again could only be done a couple of times. But there was something else he hadn't considered yet, an ability he had used once so far. Ophelia was too close to Lucemon for him to unlease another Vacuum Blast again but that wouldn't always be the case. If he could empower that ability the way he ahd his others, would it be enough to end it? He couldn't count on it, but as far as future plans went it was better than the nothing he had been grasping at before. For the moment he needed something more accurate, more melee. His eyes fell on the sword in Ophelia's hand and he wondered if he could mimic that form. Matadormon too had made excellent use of the weapon and it seemed simple enough. Swing sharp edges at enemy, keep sharp edges from friends. He wouldn't be as graceful as either of the two at using it but it would hopefully be enough to keep him relevant to the fight and from causing collatoral damage. He turned and skated a wide arc around the tangle of limbs and blades, his attention on his hand. He needed something quick and fast, but not too long. He held his fingers together and swivelled to a spot behind Lucemon, opposite of where the lion was pushing her charge. His hand began to glow and then from his fiingers stretched several beams that merged into one. A saber roughly the length of his arm. He swung it experimentally a couple times to get a feel for the five foot long blade. With a nod he mentally declared himself as ready as he could be, though in truth a couple swings was all a part of his amalgation would allow him. He wanted action. "Try this for fancy bladework!" He cried, hoping to draw Lucemon's attention to himself (as dangerous as that was) and give Ophelia a head's up that he was launching into the fight again. He aimed low with his slash, going for Lucemon's legs.
Hiroyo stared blankly at Yuko's question about if the fight itself could end, then bent an ear to Cassie's comments. She looked toward Rasielmon as if hoping for an answer before giving an uncertain shrug of her shoulders and actually attempting to answer. "If...if it's only the two of them then I don't know how long they'd last. Although Ophelia just digivolved so...I think that gives most 'mons like, a second wind? Still if its just her against Lucemon, mm... it'd be dangerous but do you think she would last long? Should I call Metallife back?" She trailed off toward the end, more thinking out loud then actually suggesting a course of action. Still it was something to ponder: if Ophelia wouldn't stop and this fight likely wasn't to the death should they try to put her into a position where she'd be force to stop? After letting that hang in the air a moment she gave a firm shake of her head, denying the validity of the idea. "Nope! I don't think he would leave her, his p-parts are not that kind of 'mon and it would probably be too dangerous." Still she bit her lip as she spared a glance for the arranged army that had gathered here to protect the structure, and the damage that had been inflicted on the battleground itself. "Honestly... they're not as enthusiastic as Ophelia but both of them like fighting as well." Battle Log
MetallifeKuwagamon skates around the fight to try to angle himself on the opposite side of Lucemon. He makes a definately not iconic weapon from a certain Sci-Fi Space Opera series and tries his hand at swordplay.
Passives Tailwind - This digimon is followed by the wind as if the air itself was a loyal pet. It’s faster than your average Ultimate as a result.
Moves Emit Blade - A special field is shaped around his right hand that directs the energy from his finger lasers into a 6 meter long blade of laser-powered cutting. The field lasts for three turns, thus so does the blade. Due to being made of lasers the blade sears or cauterizes what it cuts, great for toasting that loaf of homemade bread as you slice it the first time! Three turn duration for laser blade, two turn cooldown after blade is dismissed even if blade is dismissed early.
Durations Emit Blade - 1/3

Rasielmon closed her eye as the bubble hit her. With the huge level discrepancy it was more soothing than actually protective, but she smiled softly at Cassie nonetheless. "Thank you," she said. "I appreciate your concern."
"You're right. There are no stakes. Everyone involved can quit at any time," Rasielmon said. "But look at them. Do you think they're going to?" She turned balefully over her shoulder, just in time to see the latest shenanigans Ophelia and Lucemon were bringing to the table.
And boy were they shenanigans indeed! Lucemon was accurate in their assertion that they would hit first. However, Ophelia was a Digimon who didn't know what the words "give up" meant. Such a simple attack wouldn't get her flinching. She followed through with a beautiful stab through Lucemon's chest, data spurting from their wound as their wings went rigid. Against a lesser Digimon, a hit like this would've been it. A pity Lucemon was no lesser Digimon. They grinned from ear to ear, laughing mirthfully as they looked towards the ground.
Without any hesitation, they grabbed onto Ophelia's spear, pulling themselves up the lance with nothing more than their impressive upper arm strength. "Well learned," they said, their voice not hitching even as they forced the spear deeper into their body. "Taking a hit in the short term can present quite the opportunity in the long term." As if to further illustrate this, they leaned back, bending the spear with both hands to crack it cleanly in half. Before, flying up wouldn't be an option because Ophelia's spear would keep them in check. With that threat gone, Lucemon pushed up with a heavy flap of their wings, grazing past Ophelia on her way down.
The blow may not have landed as cleanly as possible, but it was still an exchange Ophelia had been quite in control of. Landing was a simple feat for her, and between the impalement and the whiplash she had landed quite the powerful hit on Lucemon. With how the Azure Fang functioned, she didn't even lose her weapon! Yet Lucemon had proven they were able to worm their way out of even the most disadvantageous situations, even coming out smiling. They looked down at the crystal impaled through them, grinned, and flexed hard enough to shatter the weapon. They watched the spurt of data that trailed upwards from their body, nodding in appreciation. "Not bad. Not bad at all," they said. "Even considering all the gains you've made, you still have quite a bit of potential!"
They were still hovering in slashing range, and both Ophelia and the returning MetallifeKuwagamon were all too excited to capitalize on that. They rushed from each side, one aiming to cut the hamstrings with a laser blade and the other aiming a sword of ice right to Lucemon's fresh wound. In response to these Lucemon simply leaped back, aiming to land on MetallifeKuwagamon's head as they lunged forward. With their low-aimed strike, his shoulders would've been in a far better position for springing off of. If Lucemon was able to land atop him, the Demon Lord would push him forward with their feet, aiming to send MetallifeKuwagamon stumbling right into Ophelia.
Wasting no time to hesitate, Lucemon drew a small hand sigil in the air while floating back. A spark of light followed the path of their finger, tracing a rune on the ground beneath Ophelia and MetallifeKuwagamon's feet. If the rune was drawn to completion before they moved, it would burst into a brilliant tower of light and darkness beneath their feet. Would the confusion from their collision leave them susceptible to the attack, or would they catch onto what was going on and escape?
Combat Log: Out of escape routes, Lucemon leans into Ophelia's lance, impaling themselves on it now to spare themselves a collision later. They then snap the blade, flying away just before they hit the ground. Still within slashing radius, Lucemon hops back and aims to push MetallifeKuwagamon into Ophelia to neutralize their two-pronged assault. They then try to take advantage of any potential confusion by setting a rune of light and darkness beneath their feet. Ebb and Flow: Lucemon creates a rune on the ground, light and darkness swirling around each other. If an opponent stands atop this rune, an eruption of energy washes over them. A powerful attack if it directly hits, but the delay in activation time gives a chance for opponents to dodge.

“Ahhh… muchas gracias~” Matadormon nodded weakly, as Cassie’s Bubble Aid soothed his injured, fatigued body… to a rather small degree. Yeah, for being their team’s dedicated healer, the little Gomamon-X wasn’t doing much healing, but she was trying her absolute best to help, darn it! There was only so much she could do as a Rookie, and nobody could fault her for trying to help however she could. Meanwhile, Yuko weighed in everyone’s words. Cassie no doubt knew her sister better than anyone, and Hiroyo probably knew her twin partners well enough to tell that they would never throw the towel as long as they were still capable of fighting. “So, I guess the only way this would end is if either side got knocked out, or if Lucemon got bored… which is unlikely. I mean, look at everyone up there. It looks like they’re having a ball!” The teenage Tamer mused out loud. “Ahahaha, that’s MY line!” Jokah laughed while standing up, his entire body shaking from the mere effort of doing so. “It makes me itch to step back in and assist these tenacious younglings!” He added, while his contorted, zombie-like limbs snapped back into place with an audible, sickening crack. “No chance in Hell you’re going back there! You’ll end up more dead than you already are!” Yuko objected, trying to stop her partner from doing anything reckless again. OOC Notes: - Matadormon tries to shake off his fatigue, eager to jump right back into the fight whenever an opportunity presents itself. There was only so much that Cassie could really do for everyone, it seemed. They were much higher stage, being Ultimates (and likely Mega, in Rasielmon's case) to her Rookie; meaning that the effects of her healing and buffs were much more subtle and muddled, only offering brief respites as opposed to actual relief. Even when she was trying to heal two digimon instead of all three, the difference was minimal to them... She was trying to keep positive, trying her best to stay confident, but... She was starting to wonder, just how much she was contributing to everything. Nonetheless, she'd nod to the others' comments on the whole situation; thinking hard. "I, uhm... I think she might listen to you, if we can get Metallife Kuwagamon to back off, and you tell her it's time to stop." She'd murmur to Rasielmon first, glancing up to the angel. "She might not be happy to stop, but she's usually good about listening to those she looks up to..." Rasielmon was stronger, and older; which likely was enough for Ophelia have some respect for her and reason to listen to her, Cassie was pretty sure... Though, the same could be said about Lucemon, couldn't it? It was a concerning thought, to say the least, that Ophelia might listen to Lucemon wanting to keep fighting, over Rasielmon wanting them to calm down... ... Briefly shaking her head, to get herself back on track, she'd glance out towards the fight - thinking hard for a few moments. Even if there was only so much that she could do, well... She still wanted to contribute, at least a little bit...! Glancing in Joker's direction, it was clear the gears in her head were turning; wondering if maybe he needed a bit more of a pick-me-up, to get himself back into a ready state. She didn't necessarily want to send him back into the fight, especially if this still wasn't enough, but... "... Here, let me know how this feels!" She'd chirp to Joker; producing yet another bubble - one of her Invigorating Waters - and bouncing it in his direction..! ... Lucemon's praise to Ophelia, all of the appreciation - even as they had taken a nasty blow from her lance - had the Panjyamon unable to help but feel perhaps the slightest bit thrown off-kilter. She had gotten used to it, that the Demon Lord was going to constantly praise and advise them through this fight. Yet... ... Was it bad to say, that all of this praise was starting to feel good, to a small part of her? To a part of her that - though she'd never acknowledge that she ever had such a side - craved this recognition? It was a strange feeling, one that she wouldn't get used to easily, to say the least. She was used to being able to feel a bit of pride in being praised by Valt, or at being complimented by a sparring partner. That much was natural, after all; nothing to worry over. Yet, there was something different about this sort of feeling, that Lucemon's sung praises brought up in her; and it didn't help that this was the enemy - not a mentor or friend - that was making her feel this way, either. She wouldn't express this outwardly, though, beyond the slight twitch and sway of her tail like a content cat's might; she would rather keep these thoughts to herself, until she could sort them out on her own time, after all. Instead, the fight at hand was a more pressing matter to her. It did frustrate her a hair, that Lucemon hadn't been pinned like she had hoped, though; that they had been able to get away from a situation that she thought herself in control of. But, she could still - potentially - keep Lucemon on their toes, here; reforming her Azure Fang into a halberd, after Lucemon had broken the crystal portion of it that formed the lance before. Assuming that MetallifeKuwagamon would be pushed in her direction like Lucemon intended, Ophelia was quick to move; shattering the short sword that she had made - to avoid any friendly fire - and sidestepping around the insect, in Lucemon's direction. She wasn't going to let them get away quite so easily, after all; being keen on pressing the offensive. It was by coincidence, that she had been able to get out of the way of the sigil; having not seen it, but being brought out of its way when she sidestepped around MetallifeKuwagamon. But, glancing back in the other's direction would allow her to spot the sparks of light that traced themselves on the ground; beneath Metallife's feet! She wasn't about to let her friend get caught up in whatever that sigil was about; shouting in his direction, as a warning, "Don't stop moving!" before turning her attention back to the fallen angel ahead. The fact that Lucemon seemed to always have some trick up their sleeve for getting out of a bad situation was starting to get perhaps a little irritating; she wanted to lock down any advantages she could somehow get, keep them from what felt like was them being one step ahead half the time. So, as Ophelia advanced on Lucemon, she had a plan. Adjusting her grip on her halberd, Ophelia would first do an underhand swing upwards in a basic attack, in Lucemon's direction. If things went well, she'd either be able to strike them and launch them upwards; or, alternatively, she would be able to force them to dodge upwards, into the air. Either way, the end goal was for Lucemon to be in the air - their two feet nowhere near the ground. Being quick to follow up this basic swing, Ophelia would then strike at the ground beneath her with the opposite end of the halberd; a mass of ice forming across the soil, centered on the point that she had struck. From this mass of ice, three chains - each of them pointed with a barbed blade of sorts - would fire off at Lucemon, aiming to strike them with the blades, so as to chain them down! Assuming that the blades struck true - which, they'd certainly have an easier time hitting their mark if Lucemon took to the air - the ice chains would be heavy and unwieldy; sure to slow Lucemon down, and force them to the ground as well.
- Cassie uses Invigorating Waters on Joker, in an attempt to perk him up! - Ophelia dodges both MetallifeKuwagamon, and the sigil of Ebb and Flow by extension. - Pressing the offensive, Ophelia attempts a basic upward swing at Lucemon, to either launch them, or to force them into the air. - Following up, Ophelia uses Subzero Chains, hoping to have the increased accuracy against an airborne foe. Ophelia's LogMove Used:[ATTACK] Subzero Chains: Striking a single point on the ground, Ophelia conjures a patch of ice and frost from which three ice chains - tipped with barbed blades - shoot out at the foe at terrifying speeds! Upon being struck, the enemy is pulled in and weighed down by the chains; becoming grounded, and having their movement speed reduced by 50% for 3 turns. This is a low damage/high accuracy move, with increased accuracy against flying/airborne foes. (3 Turn Cooldown) Passives:[PASSIVE] Unerring Tenacity: Ophelia's stubborn and tenacious nature extends to even a physical level; once she gets moving, she is almost impossible to stop..!
With a sigh the red headed tamer reached up to run her fingers through her hair under her hat, dislodging it in the process. The dampness of nervous sweat met her fingers and she replaced her hat with a little frown on her face. "I think...I think MetallifeKuwagamon thinks he can end it but...that's probably not possible huh?" She bit her lip, her expression serious as she wayched the fight. She was careful to stay within arm's reach of Rasielmon. The earlier need had been well engraved in her mind at this point. "Lucemon, they're like, two stages above everyone right? And I think you guys said something about their moves not hitting as hard as you thought they would?" She looked at Jokah for confirmation. "But even if your moves hit at their hardest, you're still not at the same level."She sighed and loosened her hold on digivice, instead fiddling around with her purse. Now that she had stopped to actually pay attention she could feel the exhaustion that had crept up on her. It would be a relief in more ways then one once this fight was over. "I might be able to appeal to what's there of Morgan." She said thoughtfully. The realization that there was more she could probably do to force MetallifeKuwagamon to quit was also something that occured to her but she didn't voice it. She needed to confirm it first, needed to see if it was actually possible. Her fingers loosened from around her digivice and she focused on the tug of it in her chest. It always quit feeling this way when the twins had reverted back to rookie, if she forced that drain to stop would it force them back to rookie? She looked up at the fight and bit her lower lip. She would have to be careful about the timing. What she was doing would hopefully cause the conglomerate digimon to defuse into two seperate parts but if she did it at the wrong time- She shuddered at the thought of her partners appearing in front of one of Lucemon's attacks in rookie form. Out on the battlefield things were not going according to MetallifeKuwagamon's plans. Lucemon vaulted over him, elicting a startled "gah!" from the cyborg as he suddenly found Ophelia in his path. Loathe to dismiss his blad so early he slammed the tip into the ground at his opposite side from where Ophelia was passing by. Her words reached him as the ground beneath him lit up light and dark and he forced his body to continue along with the stumble, his blade tearing right through the rune itself, the edges of its passing glowing with a fierce heat. He couldn't quite get his stumbling to be more then that but with the wind pushing him it took him to the edge of the rune whhen the attack went off. It caught his back, caused a scream as he was lifted by the force to the tips of his feet and then abruptly it was over and he dropped to one knee, his blade flickering in front of his fingertips before it went out completely. He ached. The damage had been lessened by not being fully in the rune and, he liked to think, by the way he had managed to marr part of the lines with his weapon while attempting not to hit Ophelia. He pushed himself up, wobbling as his legs threatened to give under him. "Not yet, not yet." He mumbled to himself. He had a Plan. He wanted to see it through. He turned in time to see Ophelia swing upwards with her halberd. He didn't have to stop to think about it as he raised his hands and aimed to either side of her. "Gatling Laser!" He tensed against the pain that came with the motion then opened fired, sending a barrage of beams to either side of Ophelia in hopes of cutting off Lucemon's escape routes for her attack to hit. 'Where will Lucemon go next? How will they react?' He coudln't concentrate enough to answer those questions. He dropped his arms, exhausted. A single thought in his mind. 'Stick with the plan.'He didn't know if he could last long enough to. Didn't know if he could remember all the details to the plan with the fog in mind but he would try.
MetallifeKuwagamon defaces the rune with his laser sword, disrupting part of it. He manages to make it to the edge of the rune but still got caught on the backside. Again and again, Ophelia and MetallifeKuwagamon were quick to cut off any escapes Lucemon could envision. MetallifeKuwagamon's sides covered both of their flanks, the angles to his shots covering any potential to escape by backing up. Ophelia herself covered the air with a vicious upwards sweep, leaving jumping Lucemon's only viable option. Naturally, from Ophelia's fighting expertise, Lucemon knew this meant she wanted to goad them into jumping. Feints and reversals had been a cornerstone of her fighting style, albeit with even her prying blows enough to leave her opponents rattled. It was a lose-lose situation she presented, and MetallifeKuwagamon was hellbent on making sure that they couldn't get out of choosing.
Instead of trying a dodge, Lucemon conceded their lack of options. They threw their arms up and curved their wings inward, prepared to block as much of the incoming damage as possible. They held their ground firm, rolling with the blow to minimize pain and keep their ground held firm. To be launched away would to leave themselves vulnerable, for even a perfect being's flight was no match for the level of control fighting on the ground offered. Besides, with their guard already firmly up, how bad could the incoming blow be?
It turned out what Lucemon expected to be a feint was instead an insurance policy, and they had fallen right into it. They leaned into a blow that never came, the frost erupting from the ground instead splitting into a network of writhing chains. They entangled each of Lucemon's arms, prying their guard open, before coiling around their midsection. Lucemon had been shackled to the ground, leaving them wide open to any attacks that the others had in mind for them.
They smiled like a kid who had just gotten stuck with their hand in a cookie jar. "Well, can't say I expected this one," Lucemon admitted, pulling against the chains as if to test their strength. Each time they did so the barbs dug a little deeper into their body, but they didn't seem to mind much. "Consider this another lesson in motion: never underestimate your opponents. Even if you think you have their techniques figured out, they may be withholding a technique for a pivotal moment. And even an advantageous situation could be a trap waiting to be sprung."
Rasielmon watched this unfold, stroking her chin curiously. So distracted was she by trying to puzzle out Lucemon's next move that she didn't even notice Cassie healing Jokermon back up. She paled slightly, biting her tongue to prevent any nervous laughter from escaping her throat. "I, uh, I'd be careful about hopping back into the fight if I were you," she warned, trying to think of the most polite way to phrase her concern. "Lucemon's not exactly the type to let things end quietly. If given proper reason, they can keep fighting for days on end. While I have no doubt in your healing ability, I'm worried that the more we heal and fight again, the more it'll start to wear on our cores in the long term."
"Oh, nonsense!" Lucemon called. "You'll never improve your healing if you don't truly put it to the test. And when a bone breaks, does it not heal back stronger? Don't let your fears hold you back: come at me, with everything you have!"
Combat Log: Lucemon tried to guard themselves from the incoming attacks, softening the impacts coming their way, but do not expect the last attack to split into chains and imprison them. Lucemon . . . doesn't attack? Odd.

Yuko fervently nodded at Cassue’s suggestion on how to get Ophelia to stop fighting. “Yes, yes! Get MetallifeKuwagamon to tell her to stop. Jokah, you should help too. You’re the oldest of the group, they’ll probably listen to you.” Pitching suggestions wasn’t the only thing the spiky-haired Gomamon did, though. Mediocre as her healing powers were, she still did what she could in order to bring Yuko’s injured partner back to fighting shape… or at least to a state where her was capable of fighting still. “Ahh, your Invigorating Waters make me feel… invigorated! Gracias, niña.” Matadormon said, stretching his long arms and legs as some of his energy and vitality returned to him, if only slightly. It was then that Hiroyo’s voice rang in his ears, causing the vampiric bullfighter to chuckle with newfound mirth. “Ohohoho! Do you really think levels matter when facing one of the Seven Demon Lords? Technically Lucemon is an Ultimate-level Digimon like the rest of us, but as you can see, that hardly matters. He could be a Rookie and still be whooping our patooties!” He casually explained. Ophelia’s and MetallifeKuwagamon’s patooties were indeed whooped, but they managed to score some hits in return and even pin Lucemon to the ground via ice chains. Nice! The great Demon Lord was more amused than annoyed by this clear inconvenience, goading the Digimon to keep fighting, while not even making an attempt to free himself. Yuko’s eyes narrowed. “Are you serious? This is obviously a trap! Only a crazy person would fall for that!”“Did someone call~?”“W-wait, Jokah, no!”Too late! The flamboyant vampire was already running towards the grounded Lucemon, ignoring his Tamer having a near aneurysm due to his recklessness. To his credit, this was the perfect time for him to jump back in, since the fight being taken back to the ground meant he could exploit his own martial arts prowess to its fullest. “Get up, Lucy darling! This is no time to take a nap!” Jokah even encouraged the fallen angel. Regardless, he made the first move, throwing three spinning kicks in succession and hoping for the best. “Uno! Dos! Tres!” He still kept his guard up for a potential counter-attack, even though his movements were still kinda sluggish on account of his injuries. Luckily, Matadormon’s unique style, ‘The Bulldog’, was quite flexible. OOC Notes: - Having recovered slightly thanks to Cassie’s Invigorating Waters, Matadormon runs towards the grounded Lucemon, encouraging him to get up, before attempting to strike him with three spinning kicks taken from his martial arts style, El Bulldog. Effects: Invigorating Waters: Slight energy boost & slight speed increase. 2 turns left. Move used: El Bulldog [Attack]: A unique martial art in the form of a dance. Covers a variety of kicks and martial arts maneuvers used in close-combat situations without counting as special moves. Due to its unique nature, it is harder to predict against.

As the chains hit their mark - grounding Lucemon, and leaving them burdened - Ophelia couldn't help a confident, pleased, grin. With the Demon Lord being weighed down by the heavy ice chains, they couldn't weasel their way out of their combos quite so easily anymore..! Now all there was to it, was to continue the beat down..! .. Or was it? Even though Lucemon was in a bit of a sticky situation, they were still as jovial as ever; smiling as though they were caught in the act of something. And what they had mentioned there, that even an advantageous situation could be a trap... Was the trap that the fallen angel was referring to the trick that Ophelia and Metallife just pulled, or were they referring to themself? Ophelia wasn't sure; though if she had to be honest... She wasn't exactly scared, either. She had her ways of preparing for a telegraphed counterattack, if Lucemon had one up their sleeve; and frankly? What better time than now was there, to really lay on the hurt? Well, it seemed that she wasn't the only one thinking that. Quite unexpectedly, she would - suddenly - see Joker coming into the fray, and laying down a combo of kicks on the seemingly vulnerable Lucemon! The Panjyamon would regard the vampiric bullfighter with a hint of bewilderment, calling to Joker "You better be extra sure you're fighting ready!" as she turned her attention to MetallifeKuwagamon. And as for the metallic insectoid in question, well... He, for sure, was in no way fighting ready. She could see that he was tiring, that he was losing steam. Rather than force the other to keep fighting, Ophelia would ready her Azure Fang - calling to MetallifeKuwagamon "Take ten! We'll take it from here,"And with that, regardless of whether MetallifeKuwagamon heeded her call for him to rest... All that was left, was to engage Lucemon. She was sure that some sort of attack was likely to come at them, just charging in; though, as noted before, she wasn't exactly scared of whatever Lucemon could throw at them. Following up on Joker's attack - and hoping to take Lucemon off guard while they sprung their assumed trap on the Matadormon - she would shape her Azure Fang into that of a greataxe. She'd initially sling the sizeable weapon over her shoulder - both hands on the handle - as she charged in; and as she got into range, she would swing it overhead, and down upon Lucemon..! ... However, this attack - her Glaciersplitter - wouldn't just end at there. No, she'd use a trick that she'd picked up from her lower stages; waiting until the apex of the swing, to increase the size of the greataxe's blade! Between her built-up tempo, and Glaciersplitter already being a strong attack on its own, well... This was sure to hurt, one way or another...! ... Cassie, though, was more than a little concerned. She certainly hadn't expected for Joker to run off, right after she gave him a little buff; and Rasielmon was wary, about keeping the others in the fight for too long, too..! Even with Lucemon's attempt to 'encourage' her, the little Gomamon-X would look a bit guilty; scrunching up her shoulders, as she dipped her head. "I'm... I'm sorry, Miss Rasielmon..." She'd murmur softly; glancing down at her flippers, the claws of which were kneading at the earth below. "I didn't expect for Joker to run off like that; I just... Didn't want you guys hurting and feeling all achey anymore; especially when you've all been fighting and working so hard..!"Should... she stop with the healing, then? Glancing ahead, at the fight, she was unsure. It felt bad, and weighed a bit on her heart, for her to just let them get hurt without any care; but... If healing them would ultimately hurt them, too, then would not acting - at least for now - be better than trying to act in vain?
- Ophelia, undaunted by Lucemon's odd behavior, charges in with a Glaciersplitter to follow up Joker's attack - in hopes of potentially catching Lucemon truly off-guard while they're (assumingly) springing their trap on Joker! "I don't know if I can get Metallife to convince Ophelia," Hiroyo knelt down to check her shoelaces, her face still turned in the direction of the fight despite the occasional glance down as she checked her fingers and the knot she was tying. She was struggling but that was probably due to the fact she hadn't let go of the digivice which essentially only gave her two fingers on that hand. "I do know, well I think I know that I can force him to stop before it goes further." "The real problem might be convincing the others, especially Lucemon."She stood up again and adjusted her hat so it sat more firmly on her head. She winced with sympathy at Cassie's plight. The whole 'core ripping itself apart' thing was a pretty terrible mental image! And Lucemon, spurring things on so blatantly! "Even bones require casts and time to heal!" She hollered back through her cupped hands. Matadormon's earlier comments hadn't made her feel good about this continued fight, nor had Lucemon's continued instance to fight. "Working out 24/7 does more damage in the long run! That's why rest days exist!"She dropped her hands with a sigh and shook her head. She didn't expect her words to move the Demon Lord or even the others. She could probably move MetallifeKuwagamon, even though he wouldn't like it. Nor would his components parts be pleased, assuming her idea worked (she hoped it would, she thought it might - she didn't want to know what she'd do if it didn't and they were stuck forever. it wouldn't be the cyborg Digimon's fault exactly but...) but she had to try it to find out! She shook herself out of her thoughts and pulled the strap of her purse over her head. "Right! Rasielmon, can you hold this for me?" She asked with a grin as she pulled her purse off her shoulders and tossed it at the angellic digimon. She then promptly took the opportunity to dart out and around the angellic cat and run toward that kneeling figure of gold at the edge of the battlefield. Pain radiated from MetallifeKuwagamon's back and he found himself grateful for the words Ophelia threw his way. He was hit by a wave of appreciation for her consideration that left him with his eyes closed and breathless - or maybe that was just the pain again. "Don't worry! I'm not d̸o̶n̷e̸ just... letting you guys h̴a̷v̵e̸ a shot!" He called over his shoulder. He laughed weakly, quietly, his breath catching as the shake of his torso caused spikes of pain. His voice was cracked and torn and glitching more than even, an obvious sign of his fragile stability that laid bare the false bravado of his words. Still he wanted more, more of the sense of newfound power that hadn't quite faded through all the hits he had taken. That intoxicating thrill of standing toe to toe with a Digimon of Lucemon's caliber. Even the knowledge that he couldn't beat them didn't damper his spirits. To have their praise heaped upon him... He opened his eyes at the sound of footsteps and his pain was instantly forced aside by the wave of complicated emotions at the sight of Hiroyo sprinting toward him. "What are you doing?!" He hissed as she slowed for the last few steps to stop in front of him. She smirked at him then her eyes flicked up to the fight behind him and he felt his emotions churn in his gut. "Do you have a d̸e̶a̶t̵h̵w̴i̴s̸h̸? This isn't safe!" "Do you?" She demanded as she slid her eyes from the fight to stare at him, her mouth pressed into a thin disappointed line. He stared at her, momentarily speechless at the reversal. A deathwish? How could she think that, this is what he was made for! A level higher form than could be reached before, a form that smoothly integrated all of himself-! Her face softened and she stepped forward to put a careful hand on the side of his face. Just standing she was even with his eyes. And here she was at the edge of catastrophe. nd he was suddenly struck by the fear stricken realization of how tiny she was. 'So small, so fragile...' He lifted his arms from the ground slightly, adjusted them to hopefully provide better shelter if an attack went astray. "You can't sustain this. I can't sustain this." She said quietly, tightly. He stared at her face and noticed for the first time the paleness beneath her tan, the sweat soaked band of her hat, the shivers that sporadically wracked her frame. Fear surged as he marked these signs of her limit, the edge of himself. He adjusted his arms to provide better shelter against an attack gone astray. Resentment bubbled in him. "In the future - maybe - you can keep going for longer, but you need the rest too."One massive hand gently brushed her hand off him as he forced himself to stand, a long low hiss escaping him as the pain reminded him of its existance and he stood up again. "This is an o̷p̷p̵o̴r̷t̸u̶n̵i̴t̷y̵." He argued as he started to push himself up, her mouth tightening with a disapproval as he moved to stand. How could she argue against this? The vote was one against- "Here we can learn w̸h̶a̸t̶ he knows, what he can d̶o̴. We can take that i̵n̷f̴o̵ back.""The woods were an opportunity too! Tell me- how many posts did you make on Tamernet about it?" She demanded, her fists clenched at her side. He radiated disapproval with his stiff movements, forced himself to silence the noises of pain before they escaped. "That was different." It was: his head was clear, there was no manipulation going on here. "We're winning." The qualification for winning was only inflicting as much damage as possible on the Demon Lord regardless of how well it would stick but they were accomplishing that! "No, no you're not! Not long term! Rasielmon said your cores are probably going to start fraying from all the rapid injury and rejuvenation! Do you think that's wise? Does hurting your future chances count as winning? Do you really think you're thinking clearly? What about Rasielmon's fort, huh? What about the army that was standing guard? Are they winning too?" She demanded with a stomp of her foot. He faltered and cast a cautious look over his shoulder then stared back at her, torn between what he should do and what he thought he wanted. Combat Log Hiroyo gives Rasielmon her purse so she can Pull A Dumb. MetallifeKuwagamon is successfully stalled from rejoining the fight this round byt Chatter!

"He's right, you know," Lucemon said. As they spoke their skin melted into a blinding white light, forming a glimmering silhouette. The silhouette promptly started to shrink, and within seconds a very different Lucemon hovered before the group. Now they looked like a small, slender child, free from any of the demonic corruption that Lucemon normally harbored. Their wings were all a bright white, and they wore little more than a brilliant white toga.
Despite this Dedigivolution, they didn't seem to lose power. In fact, the sheer strength radiating from this form drastically outstripped that of Lucemon's normal form. Was this seriously a Rookie?
They laughed warmly, shrugging. "I mean, I totally could. But I like you guys, so I want to face you at my best, you know?" With their little explanation finished, their body once more wrapped itself in light. Just as quickly as they Dedigivolved, they Digivolved right back to their normal level. The eerie calm around them returned; compared to the sheer power of Lucemon's Rookie form, they wouldn't even be able to sense the power Falldown Mode presented.
The whole exchange took mere seconds. How much control over their body did they have?
Apparently, enough to snap into action right after Digivolution! Despite Joker's onslaught of spinning kicks, Lucemon was quick to roll with the punches. For the first kick they leaned out of the way, Ophelia's chains and Joker's freakish flexibility allowing Joker to score a nice gash on Lucemon's cheek. Clearly, quick dodges while standing wouldn't be the best move here; Lucemon simply couldn't evade with the same speed they normally did. For the second kick they fell prone to the ground, letting Joker's kick sail clean over their head. For the third kick they kept still, wings draped over their arm like a matador waving a cape. It was only when the kick was about to impact that Lucemon revealed what they were harboring: the chain that had adhered to their arm, draped down like the string of a harp. Lucemon yanked their arm up to pull the chain taut, just in time for Joker's kick.
"Fell for it, didn't you?" they warned, wisps of light and dark energy snaking down Lucemon's arm and extending down the chain. If Joker could pull their strike in time, they'd be spared. If they committed to the kick, Lucemon would wait for Joker's foot to impact it before bringing his arm down around it. In essence, Lucemon was using the barbed chain to help grapple Joker, all while the ice infused itself with wisps of light and darkness. Needless to say, they would sting quite badly to the touch.
As Ophelia waved MetallifeKuwagamon off and came rushing in with a strike of her own, Lucemon's smile widened. Overhead strikes were always among the riskiest kinds: unlike more cross-directional strikes, just enough movement to the right or left would be enough to reduce it to a glancing blow. Yet this time, Lucemon didn't dodge right away. Instead they fell prone again, lifting their chain over their head to form a makeshift block with the taut chain. Matching swirls of light and darkness were already spreading down the chain, presumably conjured along with the first set. If Ophelia's axe hit the chain directly, the swirls would promptly start spreading from Lucemon's chain to her blade. Unlike Joker, however, the time needed for the axe to spread from blade to handle would give her more time to react. "I usually prefer to use this one on my own weapons. But it works wonders on yours, too," Lucemon explained. "Nothing quite like finding a new use for an old tool, eh?"
Rasielmon, naturally, was stuck with the less fun part of the job. From MetallifeKuwagamon clearly straining itself to hold form, to their tamer looking like she was about to collapse from exhaustion, to the heartbreaking mumurs coming from Cassie, the angel started fidgeting nervously. "Hey, no. It isn't your fault," she said, worriedly leaning down to give the Gomamon a hug. "It's just . . . this is all . . . Lucemon is a Lot, you know? Everything about them is intensified, both pains and pleasures. And its easy to get so caught up in the excitement that you don't even notice it happening. You're doing everything right. And honestly, I'd rather everyone be healed up and safe too. We just gotta make sure it doesn't get too out of hand first.
What do you say? Think we can tell them to stop?" She smiled warmly at Cassie, before warily turning to look over her shoulder. It was easy to just say that. But doing it . . . that's another thing entirely.
Combat Log: After testing the chains' length and flexibility with a few prying dodges, Lucemon attempts to wrap one around Joker's leg during the third kick. As they do so, Lucemon's trap springs: swirls of light and darkness spread down their arm, spreading from the arm to the chain to (ideally!) Joker's leg. With Joker either dodged or secured, Lucemon hits the ground to try and block with their other arm's chain. Whether the chain holds steady or is smashed cleanly through, similar swirls now spread across Ophelia's axe. Eclipse Phase - Wisps of light and darkness spiral down Lucemon's arm. They spread to any objects that they carry or Digimon that they touch, dealing lingering burns. While only moderately strong, the ease with which these wisps spread from source to source makes them surprisingly threatening! Charge Time: 1 Post Duration: ??/??

‘He could be a Rookie and still be whooping our patooties.’ Apparently, Lucemon had taken this as a challenge and decided to briefly devolve into their Rookie form, just to show off really. If their Ultimate form was a fallen angel incorporating both angelic and demonic elements into its design, their Rookie form fit the Renaissance depiction of angels to a T. “Woah… he’s… kinda cute.” Yuko’s mouth hung open in awe, captivated by the sight of the half-naked, handsome cupid flying around. It was really careless of her to let her own hormones get the best of her, but darn it, she’d do anything to sniff that golden hair! After the Demon Lord changed back into their still handsome, but less dangerously handsome Ultimate form, they retaliated against Matadormon’s daring assault, taking the former clown’s hits like a champ instead of avoiding them, and revealing their secret weapon. “Cadenas?!” The Hispanic vampire exclaimed in shock, feeling a chilling sensation in his undead bones as Ophelia’s ice chain - which was now Lucemon’s chain, for all intents and purposes - wrapped itself around his ankle. Worse yet, the fallen angel channeled their signature powers of light and darkness through the chain itself. The pain that followed was quite unpleasant. “Aie aie aie! The Demon King is hurting, but don’t count me out just yet! And don’t tie the knot with me, if you don’t plan to commit to our beautiful relationship, Lucy!” Jokah gloated, producing three more rapiers from his sleeve, and jerking his wrist forward, as if he was gonna throw them straight at Lucy’s face. He threw them downwards instead, pinning the extended part of the chain to the ground. Doing that, he couldn’t move further away now, but… neither could Lucemon. Taking advantage of this, Matadormon rammed his head at their chest, trying to impale them with his pointy beak. Meanwhile, Yuko was dealing with the falldown of Cassie feeling sorry for herself and Rasielmon trying to cheer her up. The Japanese delinquent squatted next to the baby seal, petting its spiky red hair in turn. “Yeah, you did good, Cassie-chan. You’ve helped us every step of the way, and things would probably be much worse if you weren’t around.” She then placed a finger on her chin, thinking. “Let’s see… Jokah did say that Lucemon embodies everything that’s good as well as everything that’s evil. Maybe Lucemon will agree to stop fighting if you ask really nicely and try to look really cute while doing it.” It was a weird plan, but they were dealing with an unpredictable opponent, and they had already exhausted all their other options. OOC Notes: - Trapped and hurt by the chains, Matadormon uses three rapiers to lock the extended portion of the chain to the ground, then rams his head at Lucemon’s chest for a basic pecking attack using his pointy beak. Effects: Invigorating Waters: Slight energy boost & slight speed increase. 1 turn left. Move used: Basic pecking attack.
Cooldowns: Patada Trompeta de Mariposa: 0 turns

Ophelia... wasn't sure what to make, of Lucemon's 'Rookie' form. They certainly looked like a Rookie, given their appearance of a small angelic child, and yet... The power that came off of this form of Lucemon's was far stronger than their preferred form, of their Falldown Mode; despite Lucemon claiming that their Falldown Mode was their best! Was this disparity caused by the same ability that allowed Lucemon to fight them on a mostly-equal level, and his rookie stage simply didn't have it? Or, was it that they were purposefully hiding their full power? Either way, Ophelia wouldn't have much time to think on it, as she leaped back into the fray with her Glaciersplitter! The large greataxe was on a collision course for Lucemon; and being preoccupied with Joker, it was unlikely that the angel would have much of a chance to dodge..! However, what Ophelia did not expect, was for the fallen angel to use the chains to their advantage; bringing them up and taut in an attempt to block the axe blade coming down! Yet... On the other hand, it wasn't likely that Lucemon would exactly expect a certain property to the Azure Fang - namely, just how tough it was to actually block it...! Between the Glaciersplitter, and the Azure Fang's defense-piercing properties, the greataxe would proceed to cleave straight through the now wisp-infused chain like it was butter; barely losing any momentum as it swung downwards..! Would Lucemon have another trick up their sleeve for this, or would they end up being cleaved just as the chain was? Regardless though, about whether or not the Glaciersplitter would strike Lucemon... That still left the wispy flames, of darkness and light, that would cling to her weapon. These flames would gradually travel up the blade at quite the pace - almost as though it were firewood - and it didn't seem that there would be much stopping them, unless she were to dismiss and re-conjure the blade...! And yet... What if she didn't? Or, at least, not immediately? Lucemon's comment - particularly on preferring to use the flames on their own weapons - made her think for a second, her tail flicking as the gears in her head turned. Taking a step back, Ophelia was quick to act to avoid the burning flames; reshaping her weapon into that of a long halberd with a serrated edge, both to compensate for the distance she put between herself and Lucemon, and to also buy herself just a little bit of time! This way, with the longer shaft of the weapon, the wisps would have a much harder time reaching Ophelia. Halberd readied, though, Ophelia wouldn't forget about Lucemon anytime soon! She'd swing the blade down at them - weapon blazing with darkness and light all the while - in the aim of attempting to land a crippling blow, whilst Joker attempted to pin them further..! Regardless of the attack's outcome, Ophelia would then conclude by shattering the halberd before the blaze could reach the handle or her hands; taking a step back, and reforming the weapon once more. This time, it'd be a simple quarterstaff; in preparation to shape it into whatever she'd need at the drop of a hat. Meanwhile, there was Cassie. Being wrapped up in the feline angel's embrace seemed to have an almost immediate effect on her, the little seal practically melting against Rasielmon as she tried to wrap her flippers around the other in return. Yuko's touch, too, would be quite appreciated - Cassie bunting her head up into the human's touch. Even though the fur on the majority of her body was thin and smooth, the red tufts of fur on her head and chest were quite soft to the touch..! The duo's praise and reassurance, too, would seem to cheer her up a little; a soft smile crossing over face, as she nuzzled Rasielmon. The suggestions from the both of them, too, would make her think for a few moments; quietly resting her head against Rasielmon's shoulder, as she thought to herself. "Mm..."" ... Yeah, I think we can get them to stop, at least somehow..!" Cassie chirped. She wasn't sure if Lucemon would listen if she asked them - they seemed to really be enjoying the fight, after all - but... It was still worth a shot, right..? Gradually, slowly, Cassie would part from Rasielmon, so that she could turn her attention to the fight at hand. Waiting for a brief lull in the fight - watching as Ophelia shattered her halberd, then reformed it into a sword - Cassie would take the chance to step forward, and call out. "Joker! Ophi! Metallife! Lucemon!" Calling out to the Demon Lord - especially given that they had no qualms attacking her, earlier in the fight - did make her a little nervous, but... "... You guys have all been fighting really hard, but... You've all been fighting for awhile, and have been getting tuckered out, too..! Maybe we should take a break, before anyone gets too hurt, please?"The call would make Ophelia pause briefly, glancing in her sister's direction. So caught up in the fight, Ophelia was only starting to realize the ache in her arms; both from the lingering damage from cleaving the floating island in two, as well as from the exertion of the fight thus far. Really, her whole body was aching to varying degrees; she had taken a few good hits here and there, and had been fighting harder than she ever has, in having reached Ultimate for the first time. Even then, though... Ophelia was confident, in her ability to keep fighting. But... The other two, they weren't looking quite as hot. Joker - on top of his fatigue - was, well, on fire; and Metallife looked as though they were ready to devolve, then and there. Thinking for the brief moment that she had in this lull, Ophelia would glance to the others; calling back "I'll back off when they -" She'd pause briefly to nod to MetallifeKuwagamon and Joker both "- are ready to back off, too! And speaking of which..." She'd glance to MetallifeKuwagamon in particular, adding "Sit down and take a breather already before you hurt yourself, dammit! You can get up if you're feeling better after taking ten!"It, perhaps, wasn't exactly the response that Cassie was hoping for - though... It was still a promising response, nonetheless...! MetallifeKuwagamon was probably ready to take that aforementioned breather, and... Perhaps Yuko would have a good chance, at calling Joker off, even with his eccentricities?
- Ophelia triggers Azure Fang's ability, and cleaves straight through the chain with ease! - Following up, Ophelia changes her weapon into a halberd to delay Eclipse Phase's wisps, and strikes at Lucemon with a Lionbreaker. - Finally, Ophelia shatters her weapon - getting rid of the wisps entirely - and reforms Azure Fang into a simple staff. Ophelia's LogMove Used:[ATTACK] Lionbreaker: Using preferably either a blunt weapon, or a weapon with a sharp edge, Ophelia swings at the enemy; aiming at tearing the muscle or fracturing limbs, and reducing attack by 30% for 2 turns. [2 Turn Cooldown] Artifact Used:Azure Fang [S trong Artifact]: In its inert state, the Azure Fang appears to just be an ordinary handle or hilt; something that can easily fit in Ophelia's hand as a Spadamon. When active, however, it changes shape and size to best fit in Ophelia's grip - even in her quadrupedal forms, the handle changes shape for her to comfortably hold it in her mouth. She, additionally, is able to channel an element relating to her current form thru it in crystallized form - shaping it to imitate tools and weapons, and using it to reflavor her attacks as she pleases. If Azure Fang is not included in her artifact load-out, or if Ophelia is not using its primary ability, she can still use it for its flavorful effects. Otherwise, Azure Fang is a sturdy and powerful weapon; at a 3 post cooldown, Ophelia can use the artifact alongside a basic or named attack, allowing 50% of the damage inflicted to pierce through all defenses and immunities. Passives:[PASSIVE] Unerring Tenacity: Ophelia's stubborn and tenacious nature extends to even a physical level; once she gets moving, she is almost impossible to stop..!
Effects:Tempo - 5/5 Stacks; 30% increase to Attack and Accuracy this turn Cooldowns:Winter's Gasp - Once Per Thread Subzero Chains - Waiting Glaciersplitter - 1/3 Lionbreaker - Waiting Azure Fang - 0/3 Cards Used [2/3]:Gazimon Berserker Protocol Cassie's LogPassives: [PASSIVE] The Eager Medic: Cassie has natural potential as a healer, and her bodyshape and natural strength lends well to devastating tackles - but her bodyshape also leads her to be a little awkward on land, and in non-snowy or non-icy conditions. Her healing is 30% stronger than a normal digimon's, and her attacks 15%, but she's 30% slower - except for when in water, or on snow/ice.
Cooldowns: Bubble Aid - 3/3; Ready Next Turn Invigorating Waters - Waiting
