"Surf's Up"
The cry of gulls and lap of the waves was intoxicating to SHino as she observed the white sandy beaches and glistening blue ocean in front of her. She heard others in AEGIS were on a mission on the sea dealing with "Leviamon" or a Digimon of that nature. While she was too new to really contribute like that to the others, she thought it was a good idea to explore.
Her usual trips to the Digital World with her partner were often driven by one goal: To dig up more information on Vector and his missing memory. She had some leads, but nothing promising-- or positive. It might of been one of those situations where 'ignorance was bliss' as some would call it. She, however, didn't agree with such sentiment.
This trip however, was different. It had one goal-- to give her partner something to take his mind off of things. As a computer girl who often shied away from such places, it was time to get her feet wet and try to relax.
However, while she knew what she was getting into making such a trip-- she was never truly ready for the 'reactions' Vector had with such a location.
"THE BEACH!!" Vector cried. He almost dropped his little rifle right then and there. As the little Digimon had been boning up more on social media than anything really, he has become one easily influenced by pop culture and stuff about the human world. He seen what people did at the beach. Swim, tan, enjoy cold drinks while building sandcastles and surfing. His eyes lit up as he took in the same site Shino was.
"We really hear to just hang out and have fun? " Vector asked, shouldering his rifle by its strap. "Permission for a Leave, ma'am?
Shino nodded, though worried how he might react to being on leave. "Knock yourself out..." she said.
"WAHOO!!" the Commandramon cried as he went scampering down the hill to the sandy part of the beach.
The beach itself was wide and offered plenty of places to lay out on the sand or swim. At first, Shino thought they might be alone on this sandy shore but they weren't. She saw a few Digimon out there enjoying themselves like some Gomamon building a sand castle or Orcamon floating along the waves enjoying himself. He also was acting as a lifeguard judging by his vest. On the beach there were changing stations, food kiosks and other places-- like a boardwalk without the boardwalk, and with fewer people cluttering up the beach.
Shino sat herself near the edge of the beach with her attire on. She agreed to sit and keep an eye on Vector's rifle which laid beside her. Luckily, it wouldn't work in her hands, so she didn't have to worry about it. The little COmmandramon had shed his little vest-- only wearing his helmet that made him look like a strange camoflagued agumon in its place and not even resembling a cyborg Digimon. Even his pixilated skin blended into the water to make him look more aquatic.
He was up to his neck in water as he slashed and swam around, enjoying the cool water. Despite what a headache and pain in the butt the Commandramon could be-- he needed some time to break loose and have some fun after being cooped up in the real world for so long.
Ever since he came into her life, she had to admit-- her life became much more hectic and busy. But she didn't harbor any feelings of regret or distaste. After so much time she had to depend on others. Her parents, the foster home... she hated feeling helpless and while it was appreciated, she felt like her very life meant nothing. She had no purpose or direction to go beyond what she found online, which led her to become a hacker.
However, the moment that goofy Commandramon jumped out of her computer, her life was changing quickly. NOt a single day go bye did she not feel the need to keep an eye on him and keep him from doing anything stupid. Well, more stupid than some times.
"SHino! Shino!" Vector's voice called out to her as she drew her attention to the nearby water. She soon saw the little dinosaur waving at her. "Come swim with me. The water is great!"
