Alright, now that we’re down to a proper sixteen person bracket, let’s show the crowd what our simulators can really do!The Bamboo FieldA tranquil spirit and one attune with nature: perhaps both Toki and Skadi would find themselves in a different place of peace as they appeared in their battlefield. Unlike some of the other rings, this one was well-lit with a clear sky above, and rolling green pastures in all directions, only loosely fenced off with a loose fence. The space between them, though, would prove problematic to both parties. Bamboo. Large, sturdy stocks, easily rivaling Lagosmon’s and Grademon’s height, would stick tall in front of them, each only a few feet or so apart from each-other at most. And testing them with a blade or a blow, even at ultimate level, would show that they weren’t so easy to break. Sure, a good swing or a direct hit would let a few fall, but wild and full, arcing swings would eventually get caught in its grip. It was a simple field in concept, but perhaps a damnably complicated one in execution. Toki Akiyama vs Kenny O'Hara and Skadi Toki starts! Your Cards: KoKabuterimon Kazemon DoGatchmon MegaSeadramon AeroVeedramon MagnaGarurumon Duftmon JT-05 Card Name: KoKabuterimon Type: Digimon Rank: Bronze Duration: 1 Post Beetle Lariat: The target Digimon lunges forward, flooring their opponent with a clothesline to the throat. "Well now, this is quite beautiful." Toki said as he walked around this bamboo grove. "A fitting fight for a duel for the ages. Bright sky above in a field of bamboo. Fighting to progress to the next challenge...it's like something out of a samurai movie." He said, smiling warmly all the while as he places his hand against one of the shoots.
He looked over whenever his opponent would come into view and waved to them "Kenny! Skadi! Good to see you two made it to this round. I'll admit I feel a little bad that I'm in the second round by default. It just means I'll have to try extra hard for the round I skipped. Let's see..." He mused slightly about what he should do. He snapped his fingers and pulled out his digivice "It's been a while since I've fought for the sport of it. This will be pretty refreshing all things considered! Though don't think that means I'm going to be holding back at all, okay?"
In an instant, Toki's hand was surrounded by a powerful stream of data that he brought to his digivice "Beast Spirit Evolution!" He called out as the data enveloped his entire body. The human took the form of a large, rabbit-like creature with an intimidating and piercing glare. "Lagosmon." The large Digimon said in a deep, rumbling voice.
"Let's begin." Toki stated before he dashed forward, kicking up some of the ground behind him with the force. He weaved along the bamboo, his agility something to behold. Suddenly, if Skadi didn't pay close attention, Toki would seemingly vanish. Using the densely packed bamboo as cover, Toki would leap into the air and hope it would take a moment for Skadi to register his location. From the air, Toki brought his legs in close to his body as he fell towards Skadi "Terra Kick!" He shouted as he attempted to slam down on top of Skadi. Even if it missed it would likely create a sizable crater from the place of impact. Either way, if Skadi didn't retreat, then Toki would be closer to her and he would not give her much room to breathe. From where he landed he would attempt to continuously pursue Skadi. How would they react and get away, he wondered? Facing him head on? Reposition? Already Toki seemed to be testing them.
-----
Terra Kick: Lagosmon leaps at the enemy and kicks with the force of a landslide with both feet.

The first round was certainly a heartpounding one for Kenny and Skadi. Hasenya was certainly one tough customer, the Doumon testing Skadi in more ways than one with a barrage of clever tricks and dangerous tactics, but ultimately, the Markhormon had come out on top in the ring, constantly holding her own and not letting up until the very end. But with round 2 coming shortly after, they would need to change things up to stay in the game. Just before the battle, Skadi had digivolved, but not to her natural Ultimate, Markhormon, but rather her Armour Ultimate, SilverGrademon, known more for her grace and subtly. As she strided into the densely packed bamboo forest arena, she spotted Toki, who was waving to them. Of course, she waved back herself, as her opponent admitted he'd fight extra hard for sitting out. A small smirk appeared on Skadi's face in response, "Good. I didn't come into this tournament expecting a pushover now, did I?" She replied. Of course, by virtue of being a Spirit User, Toki had to Spirit Evolve first into his own Ultimate form, Lagosmon. Despite his fierce appearance, Skadi would only nod keenly at her friendly adversary. Her mind had already formulated a plan in the process, and part of it was to keep watch of Toki at all times if she wanted to pull if off. And so, as Toki effortlessly moved through the bamboo, Skadi remained laser focused at all times, keeping an eye on the Lagosmon as he moved to see just what he was going to do. And as it turned out, he had leapt high into the sky, before calling out his first attack, his feet bundled together in a bid to crush Skadi into a ground. But if there was anything Skadi had picked up from Valt, having the opponent pull off the first attack was essentially ample time to dodge them in time. So she simply jumped far out of the way, a fair few meters of where the crater was. Her eyes still fixated on the rabbit as she landed, she didn't hesitate to snap her fingers as soon as she landed on the ground. On cue, ghostly chains silently rose up from the ground, and started to sneak up on the Lagosmon's legs. Should Toki not escape in time, the chains would wrap and tighten around his legs, keeping him trapped in the crater for a bit. Whenever that happened or not, Skadi still wasn't done yet. She jumped back deep into the bamboo forest, phasing through the giant shoots as she did, thanks to her ectoplasmic body. It looked like she had vanished completely, hidden within the plants. But now, she had set off, running around the bamboo with ease. She did have a little something in mind for her next attack... Meanwhile, Kenny looked at the card loadout he had. Those were some interesting ones in there, and he knew he and Skadi would have to work together to pull out a win. Of course, it was good they discussed their little plan to each other beforehand. Skadi dodges Toki's Terra Kick attack in the nick of time. In retaliation, she summons Ethereal Chains to snare him while she 'disappears' into the bamboo. By not using a direct damaging attack on Toki, she gains one token from the Buildup passive. She is currently at 1/4, and has a 10% attack boost. Ethereal Chains (RAM Upgrade): Skadi summons 2 pairs of ghostly chains silently rising from the ground to coil around the opponents feet (4 if the opponent has 4 feet, for flavor purposes only). Once trapped, they are bound for one turn, unable to move from the spot or turn around, but are still free to attack, just as long as the attack doesn't involve using their feet. (2 post cooldown) Passives:Leaps and Bounds (Non-combat Passive): Skadi can leap very, very high. Meaning she can scale houses and buildings with a single leap. She is also capable of parkour in this form, and is generally a very fast, very flexible creature.
Ethereal Being (Non-combat Passive): In this form, Skadi can change her form from solid to ethereal. This can allow her to pass through walls, and other solid objects. However, this does not automatically give her immunity from attacks, and she takes damage like any other Digimon.
Buildup (Passive): For every post that Skadi does not directly attack the opponent with an ability, she gains a token. This token increases her attack by 10%, up to a total count of 4 tokens. These tokens cannot be taken off by the opponent, nor can these boosts be reduced by any attacks or passives from any opponent. (For example, simply using her swords to parry the opponent or merely swinging her sword to attack will not affect Buildup. Using Dual Striker or Sliver Breaker does)
Keen Eye (Passive): Being a skilled swordswoman has it’s benefits. So that means that she gets a 1.3x boost to accuracy. This also allows her to see perfectly fine where she otherwise wouldn’t, including fog, smoke, and other weather conditions. Buffs: Buildup: 10% (1/4 tokens) Cooldowns:Ethereal Chains: 0/2

Suddenly, Toki felt something snag around his feet that attempted to keep Toki from moving. Toki smiled at his opponent as through sheer strength, the ethereal chains would shatter almost instantly as he continued to sprint after Skadi into the bamboo grove despite her phasing through the shoots like a ghost. There was a determination in Toki's eyes to keep up the chase. There was a lot about Lagosmon that was unique to this form alone. The ability to power through bindings was one of them.
Normally, this would prevent him from mustering up the focus and strength to use an ability for a short while, but Toki had other avenues of attack to call upon thanks to the rules of this battle. "Modify...Kazemon!" He jumped towards Skadi, twisting his body as currents of wind surrounded his legs "Tempest Twist!" He called out as his body swiftly spun in a circle, his legs kicking towards Skadi as soon as she came into view from the bamboo. Several times he would spin and kick, each one attempting to strike at her with crushing force.
Toki was excited for the battle to come. This moveset Skadi had was fascinating so far...how would she continue to use it and how would she use the cards in conjunction with what she knows? He was also curious how she'd react to someone shattering her chains in an instant the way he did? Would it intimidate her and give him an opening or would she keep her cool and figure out another way out of this situation? This was a battle of wits. The best part of all, this was a battle for sport. It was without the life or death stakes he was so accustomed to lately, but that didn't mean he was going to make it easy on his opponent.
----
Toki breaks through Skadi's Ethereal Chains through his passive 'Will of the Mountain King!' This normally negates his attack for the turn, but he pursues and attempts to strike Skadi with Tempest Twist from the Kazemon card.
Combat Passive- Will of the Mountain King: Very little can keep them from performing their duty. Movement inhibiting abilities have two less turns of duration. In the event it would nullify the restriction, Lagosmon breaks free from the restraint that turn, but cannot attack.
Card Ability - Tempest Twist: The target Digimon spins in a circle, peppering anyone close with a fast kick.

At first, Skadi felt certain that she had lost Toki thanks to those chains, but even through all the bamboo that normally would obscure all her movement and vision in her way, she could still keep tabs on the Lagosmon at all times. And unfortunately for her, he had broken the chains almost immediately and was now giving chase through the bamboo. No matter. She did have a fallback plan she had in mind. Once again, Skadi snapped her fingers, and in turn, 3 other SilverGrademon would materialise and run deep into the forest, just enough so Toki couldn't spot them so easily, but not far enough so they wouldn't be able to reach Skadi in time, She would often shift between looking at Toki and the bamboo, wondering what he was going to do next while making sure she knew where she was going. Speak of the devil, the Lagosmon had indeed spotted and caught up with her just as the clones ran off, and had leapt high up into the air, ready to strike her down with a Tempest Twist, courtesy of the Kazemon card. As Toki came careening down towards her, she lifted an arm in front of her, and, without saying a word, beckoned to whoever was in front. Almost on cue, one of the clones appeared from in front of both of them, and leapt onto Skadi's head like a platform, brandishing a powerful blade ready to strike down on Toki's head as it launched up into the sky and directly towards him. No matter whenever the attack would hit or not, the clone would take the full brunt of Toki's rapid kicks, but with a blank expression on it's face as it and the Lagosmon came careening towards the ground, with the real Skadi jumping back a few good meters from the both of them to watch the fireworks. Indeed, the second he and the clone hit the ground, it would explode in a mixture of white smoke and pyrotechnics, threatening to both blind and damage Toki at the exact same time, while also obscuring Skadi from view, who was now standing there. "Kenny, a little help here?" She whispered into the D-Nexus. Kenny simply nodded once and pulled out the DoGatchmon card, merely swiping it across the D-Nexus to give Skadi a little boost in turn. No later as soon as h efinished the swipe, she could feel a fresh surge of energy running through her. With a simple wave of her hand, a green coloured dagger would emerge from Skadi's palm, quietly rushing towards him at high speed, and breaking through the smoke as it got close to him. As she could see through the smoke, she knew where to aim. But as soon as she fired, she dashed off, and when Toki came to, he would notice Skadi was missing once more. But she wasn't done yet. As the smoke wafted around, the 2 other clones would immediately emerge from the bamboo not a moment later, both of then brandishing each of their long swords and rushing towards Toki at high speed. The one on the left would swing it's sword against his torso while the other aimed for an overhead slash. This was quite the assault Toki had to face, and he needed to think fast if he wanted to escape unharmed.
Skadi uses Illusion to summon 3 clones that go into hiding. One clone takes the brunt of Toki's Tempest Twist while it uses Silver Breaker to attack him. Upon hitting the ground, it explodes, producing heavy white smoke and causing damage if Toki is caught within it. Then, with Kenny's help, she uses DoGatchmon's Sonic Slash to cut through the smoke to strike Toki almost immediately. At the same time, the 2 surviving clones appear from his left and right and use Silver Breaker as well to attack him. By not using one of her own direct damaging attack on Toki, she gains another token from the Buildup passive. She is currently at 2/4, and has a 20% attack boost. Skadi:Illusion: Skadi summons 3 clones of herself. These clones possess the power of a normal Champion level. However, if hit, these clones will automatically die, exploding and dissipating into white smoke to obscure the opponents vision and do moderate damage up to a 5 meter radius each. These clones are capable of using Dual Striker and Silver Breaker as well, and also has access to the Buildup and Keen Eye passives (albeit only getting 1.2x accuracy boost instead). However, they can only gain one token from Buildup, and cannot use Reflective Shield, Illusion, Ethereal Chains, or Shining Blast. Each clone also have a max. TTL of 3 posts if left undamaged. If they die this way, then they will still go up in smoke (in both cases, whenever hit or not, Skadi can decide whenever they explode or not, depending on certain situations), and clones can attack the post they were summoned. Since this attack does not involve directly hitting the opponent, only producing the clones, this does not interfere with the Buildup passive. A clone attacking the opponent with an ability will only affect their own Buildup passive effect. (3 post cooldown) All Clones: Sliver Breaker: Skadi combines her two swords into one new powerful sword, the 'Gradalpha Break', then swings it to strike down the opponent. This attack can bypass and break Ultimate level (and lower) shields, reflectors and defensive passives/buffs to deal full damage to the opponent. Megas suffer 50% of the damage while any of the above is applied. However, it cannot break their shields or reflectors. Does light-type damage and physical damage, but does not make direct contact. (3 post cooldown) Card:AP-6 Card Name: DoGatchmon Type: Digimon Rank: Silver Duration: 1 Post Sonic Slash: The target Digimon's flings a green, cursor-shaped dagger at the opponent. Not the strongest move, but blindingly fast and very quiet. Passives:Leaps and Bounds (Non-combat Passive): Skadi can leap very, very high. Meaning she can scale houses and buildings with a single leap. She is also capable of parkour in this form, and is generally a very fast, very flexible creature.

Buildup (Passive): For every post that Skadi does not directly attack the opponent with an ability, she gains a token. This token increases her attack by 10%, up to a total count of 4 tokens. (For example, simply using her swords to parry the opponent or merely swinging her sword to attack will not affect Buildup. Using Dual Striker or Sliver Breaker does)

Toki grit his teeth as the clones came into play. She had an entire battle plan didn't she? Unfortunately for him he was intercepted by the first clone that struck him deeply with his weapon. The first hit goes to Skadi...though he wasn't out of ideas either. As the clone burst into a damaging fog below, Toki thought about how to proceed next. He couldn't think of a way to avoid falling into the mist, so he took in a deep breath and let himself land within the mist.
The fog burned his eyes as he shut them to avoid too much pain. It was time to turn this around...but how...? He winced as he opened them slightly at the sound of two approaching figures. Unrelenting...not giving him a chance to breathe either. Excellent. Just what he wanted from an opponent. "Modify, Duftmon." It was time to stop messing around. Orbs of brilliant light surrounded his body that grew brighter as the clones got closer "Conquest." the orbs detonated and would hopefully blow away not only the clones, but the current and resulting fog away from their location. Perhaps some of the blasts would strike the real Skadi as well. Before they even detonated, Toki had raised his fist before driving it into the ground towards a blurry figure that was running in the distance "Stalagmite Fortress!"
From the thin openings around the bamboo and hopefully near Skadi's general location, spikes of earth shoot out of the ground that threatened to skewer her for heavy damage along with a bleeding effect for some time afterwards. One of the spikes would thankfully intercept the thrown dagger from Sonic Slash before it reached Toki, though he now had to take a moment to reorient himself and clear his eyes. He lamented that he didn't have that many skills to deal with an opponent that specialized in hit and run tactics, but these cards gave him an edge he otherwise wouldn't have.
He had taken a couple of hits, but he would make his comeback. Toki was nothing if not determined to push forward. The battle was only beginning, and hopefully Toki's actions this time around caught Skadi off guard enough to begin his attack properly.
----
Toki activates the card 'Duftmon' to use the ability Conquest to deal with the clones, the fog, and possibly even Skadi in one attack if it manages to land properly. He follows this up by activating Stalagmite Fortress in Skadi's retreat path, which deflects the small projectile from Sonic Slash.
Stalagmite Fortress: Upon placing their palms on the ground, an area of their choosing erupts in a barrage of earthen spikes. Enemies caught will be damaged and suffer bleed damage for 2 turns (2 turn cooldown.)
Card Ability - Conquest: The target Digimon releases small globes of light from its body, which detonate like mines if approached too closely.

Unbeknown to everyone but herself, Skadi had complete and utter control of the clones, able to control them through mental thought alone. And when it was the clones times to die, she could also dictate whenever they would merely go up in a puff of smoke, or whenever they would also go out with a bang. Toki had unleashed a barrage of lightbombs at the clones, but they possessed an unfortunate side effect as they got a little too close to him. For you see, Skadi had intended for all the clones she summoned to cause damage upon their untimely demise, and so, when the lightbombs detonated, so would the clones. But as the smoke cleared away, it was very apparent Skadi had ran off. Unfortunately for Skadi as well, as she dashed off after flinging the arrow, a few stray bombs were thrown her way, and she grunted as a few of the bombs hit her within range. Despite stumbling a bit from both the smoke and the surprising amount pain, she pulled herself back up and kept running. Toki wasn't going down without a fight, and neither was she. She coughed a little from the smoke, but her eyes widened as she spotted cracks forming on the ground, warning her of spikes and spires threatening to skewer her alive almost instantly. But Skadi was crafty. Very crafty. She knew that as Canandenmon and Markhormon, those cracks were the only warning an opponent would get before her own spires would impale them. In almost an instant, Skadi summoned her magic shield just as the spikes emerged, and threw it to the ground, before stomping onto the shield. Some of the spikes would crumble with mere ease, while the others retracted back into the ground; the 'reflective' part of the name meant that 30% of the spikes would be coming back Toki's way if he didn't dodge in time. And she wasn't done just yet. Using the shield as a launch pad, Skadi would quickly wall climb between bamboo to bamboo, making sure she would be out of sigh, and stay that way if Toki hadn't been paying attention. All the while, Kenny would silently swipe the AeroVeedramon card through his D-Nexus, filling Skadi with another sudden burst of energy, and hoping his little tactic would work. All of a sudden, Skadi had jumped very high into the sky, higher than what her normal jumps entailed. A glorious V had shined on her chest before not a moment later, she would fire out a glorious, searing laser beam, aiming to raze Toki. Thanks to her sharp vision, she could see Toki clearly, and wanted to ensure he would not escape this attack unscathed. Especially thanks to her current attack boosts constantly growing throughout the battle.
By being hit with the bombs from Conquest, Skadi's clones explode, and while the bombs clear away the smokescreen, if Toki is still within range (a total of 10 meters), he will take heavy damage from the clones' explosion. Meanwhile, Skadi takes a good amount of damage from the attack while running away from the lightbombs. Then she uses Reflective Shield to break some parts of the Stalagmite Fortress, and return others to where Toki is (by virtue of the latter attack being a physical attack, meaning only 30% of the attack can be reflected), before jumping up into the sky and using the AeroVeedramon card to strike down Toki with V-Wing Blade.
Skadi's Buildup passive is now at 3/4 tokens, therefore she now has a 30% attack boost. Reflective Shield: Skadi summons a clear circular shield that can protect her from 1 normal Ultimate attack (3 Champion level attacks). If a ranged attack hits this shield, then it will automatically be reflected back to the opponent with the damage equal to what it was going to hit Skadi with. If a physical attack hits this shield, then the opponent takes 30% of the damage from the intended attack. This attack does not interfere with the Buildup passive. (3 post cooldown) WG-12 Card Name: AeroVeedramon Type: Digimon Rank: Gold Duration: 1 Post V-Wing Blade: The target Digimon takes to the air, launching a V-shaped beam at a downward angle. Passives:Leaps and Bounds (Non-combat Passive): Skadi can leap very, very high. Meaning she can scale houses and buildings with a single leap. She is also capable of parkour in this form, and is generally a very fast, very flexible creature.

The fog had been cleared and Skadi was damaged by some of the mines from Conquest. Now the two of them had gotten some good hits on each other. It was beginning to escalate as it seemed they were ready to go a little more head to head. To Toki's surprise, some of those spikes snapped against a shield that Skadi created while she also rose overhead and launched another card ability. If didn't move correctly, he could wind up being hit with his own attack as well as the incoming strike from her.
He had a plan. Though it was a gamble. Why did everything he do have to be a gamble, he wondered to himself. Maybe because that made things more exciting. In an instant, he muttered his next modification to throw Skadi off "Modify, DoGatchmon...Deep Dive..." Two tears in the fabric of the world started to make themselves known, but they were still forming and were rather subtle, making them difficult to see. Toki then stomped on the ground "Earthen Bastion!" Though the wall rose beneath Toki instead of in front of him. The wall was hit by his own reflected attack, but more important, he used the force of the rising wall to leap up and over the V-Wing Blade. He reached back and punched at Skadi as he got close. It was a simple attack and might not even land, but that wasn't what he was counting on right now.
How would Skadi react to him getting so close? After his attack he tried to grapple her and pull her towards the ground, though also attempted to keep one of the opening portals behind him. That part was going to be important very soon. Though from the look on Toki's face, he was enjoying this battle and couldn't wait to see where it would all go next. Skadi was possibly one of his most crafty opponents yet.
----
Toki sets up the card ability 'Deep Dive,' but the portals seem to materialize slowly, almost invisible to the untrained eye. He then uses Earthen Bastion to both block his reflected attack and launch himself over the incoming V-Wing Blade. Finally, he attacks with...a basic attack against Skadi. Just what was he planning?
Earthen Bastion: Fortifies an area with a wall of stone that erupts from the ground capable of stopping the full force of an Ultimate level attack. Allies near Lagosmon upon activation of this ability will be protected. Mega attacks are weakened by 50% and anything above bypasses it completely. (3 Turn Cooldown)
Card Ability - Deep Dive: The target Digimon opens two portals to the Net Ocean, diving into one to get the jump on an opponent from behind. The portal takes time and focus to summon, however, so it is useless as a dodge against all but the most long-winded attacks.

Both battlers were keeping up the momentum so far, and neither side was willing to relent so easily, especially Skadi. Even Kenny, literally the only bystander in the battle, felt exhilarated watching his partner give it her all. However, much to her chagrin, she watched Toki dodge her combo with his own barrier, and was now attempting to punch her in the face. She did dodge the punch in time, but was caught off guard by the grapple, and now both were falling to the ground. Suddenly, her body started to shift once more. As Kenny raised his D-Nexus with it's light shining bright, the SilverGrademon shed her armour, and in her place, the giant mountain goat that stood a little taller than Lagosmon, Markormon appeared, a sly smirk emerging on her face. It was clear now; no more Miss. Nice Girl, Skadi was gonna go all out on him, no matter what. And just in time too, as both of them crashed onto the ground, the sheer bulk the Markhormon had helped to break the fall, despite the fact she was now leaning down on the ground, with Toki atop her, but that still didn't stop her from taking a bit of damage. But she had still many tricks up her sleeve, for you see, her SilverGrademon form had helped boost her energy quite a bit during the opening stages of the battle, but Markhormon herself was really going to put it to good use for the rest of it. Without hesitating, Skadi would quickly lunge for the Lagosmon's neck while pushing herself up back to standing position at the same time, then would try to throw him as far away as possible, before, and with another swipe from Kenny's D-Nexus and subsequent surge of energy, she would point up to him, summoning a swarm of hard-to-dodge ballistic missiles and beams of light towards him in her wake. This battle was really heating up now, and Skadi, ever the determined Digimon, wasn't going to surrender without a fight. She was going to push on to the very end, and show Toki what she and Kenny were truly made of, together. And if this worked, well, he would most likely be feeling that in the morning. Skadi dodges Toki's punch, but not the grapple, sending both falling to the ground. All the while, she slide evolves to Markhormon during the freefall, breaking her fall by quite a bit thanks to Mountaineer. Since she technically jumped a level, she cannot use an active ability. But that does not stop her from trying to grab Toki by the neck, toss him away, then fire away at him with a powerful barrage of Magna Missles, courtesy of the MagnaGarurumon card VB-16 Card Name: MagnaGarurumon Type: Digimon Rank: Platinum Duration: 1 Post Magna Missiles: The target Digimon launches a volley of missiles and energy blasts at their opponent. Passives:Mountaineer (Passive): Markhormon possesses a tough and well-rugged body that has survived even the harshest of winters. This in turn reduces damage from all Ice attacks by 50% and physical attacks by 30%. However, she takes 50% more damage from fire attacks.
Toxic Immunity (Passive): Markhormon’s immune system naturally prevents Skadi from suffering poison/corrosion from any attacks/passives, or suffering any ill effects from them (damage, paralysis etc). Likewise, her foamy saliva, if swallowed, or in some cases, rubbed into an affected area of a poison victim, will automatically heal the Digimon of any poison/corrosion effects they may suffer… if they’re willing to use it at all, obviously. If used on an ally, then they have up to 2 poison/corrosion effects lifted from them, and Skadi goes through a 3 turn cooldown period, where she will be no longer immune to effects from poison/corrosion until it finishes. If Skadi digivolves to this form while poisoned/corroding, then she will automatically be cured in the same post.

This was definitely a surprise. Suddenly the agile, light opponent that was SilverGrademon became a much larger Digimon akin to himself in strength and build. The two of them would crash into the ground and before Toki could recover from the landing, Skadi had rushed into him and attempted to fling him away. There was the slightest smile as Toki allowed himself to be flung away from her throw. He watched as the barrage of missiles and energy shot from her body.
Then, his perspective shifted. He had let himself be thrown into one of the entrances to the Net Ocean he had began to open just a few moments before! Now he was in the air near where they began their decent after Toki grabbed her and thus avoided the onslaught from Magna Missiles. Now the moment of truth. Will this set up pay off? It was time to see. "Modify, MegaSeadramon. Lightning Javelin!" Sparks of electricity emanated from Toki's forehead as he launched a bolt of lightning towards Skadi below him. The bolt swiftly crackled and sparked down towards her with a thunderous crash. Whether or not it hit, Toki was still falling as he aimed for Skadi for a repeat of his first attack. "Terra Kick!" Once more he fell towards her in an attempt kick her with the force of a rolling boulder.
Afterwards, Toki would hop backwards and stare down Skadi, trying to keep the tension high and keep a good distance away. The two of them have traded some pretty significant blows, but neither of them looked ready to give an inch. Both of them were strong, but also intelligent, bouncing back and forth with combination attacks that otherwise wouldn't be possible without the current rules of the battle. It didn't matter who won, they both gave it their all in equal measure.
----
Toki dives into the portal that was being created last turn to warp and avoid Magna Missiles! He counters with a two-fold attack consisting of the card ability Lightning Javelin and another use of Terra kick!
Terra Kick: Lagosmon leaps at the enemy and kicks with the force of a landslide with both feet.
Card Ability - Lightning Javelin: The target Digimon fires a lightning bolt from their forehead.
Cooldowns: Stalagmite Fortress 2/2, Earthen Bastion 1/3.

Toki just didn't know when to quit, did he? Having now dodged the missile swarm with ease, Skadi knew she had to step things up if she wanted to take the warrior down. She turned up to hear Toki call out his attack combo, starting off with a lightning strike, followed by the Terra Kick attack from earlier. Not content for just leaving herself open, Skadi was about to pull off quite the risky gambit here. And hopefully, it would work. Her spars with Valt and Ophelia had taught her that calling her attacks would make it easy for opponents to predict, and therefore, dodge. And dodge she did, as she rolled in front to dodge the thunderbolt just in time as it struck the ground, before pulling out her trusty sword in front of her as a makeshift shield to endure the kick. She grunted under the pressure, and in a little pain, as she tried to hold out with the sword brushing close to her face, and as he jumped off the sword, no sooner would Skadi swing it back, eyeing Toki as he landed back on terra firma. "So, that's how you wanna play it, huh?" Skadi muttered to herself. So Toki wanted to play ball? Fine, she'd play ball. She glanced to Kenny once again, who was now swiping Kazemon's card through the D-Nexus, and gave a small smirk to Toki. Before not too long, she took in a deep breath, before letting out an ear shattering bleat at the Lagosmon while pointing at him, sending both a powerful gust of wind, and heavy hitting shockwaves at the exact same time flying fast at him. Hopefully, that would knock the bunny boy off his feet, leaving him open to another attack. Skadi dodge rolls out of the way from Lightning Javelin, before using her sword as a shield to reduce the damage from Terra Kick. In order to reinvigorate herself, she responds by using Call of the Mountains, sending strong shockwaves at Toki to try, while at the same time, using Kazemon's Hurricane Wave to try and trip him up with this one-two punch. Skadi's attack has now been boosted to 20% for the next 2 posts. Call of the Mountains: Skadi lets out a powerful, loud bleat at the opponent, dealing damage and potential disorientation. A much more powerful version of Wild Bleat, again, it can disorient flying Digimon and send them onto the ground, but it also has an added bonus of invigorating Skadi and increasing Skadi’s attack by 20% for the next 2 posts. (2 post cooldown) Passives:Mountaineer: Markhormon possesses a tough and well-rugged body that has survived even the harshest of winters. This in turn reduces damage from all Ice attacks by 50% and physical attacks by 30%. However, she takes 50% more damage from fire attacks.
Toxic Immunity: Markhormon’s immune system naturally prevents Skadi from suffering poison/corrosion from any attacks/passives, or suffering any ill effects from them (damage, paralysis etc). Likewise, her foamy saliva, if swallowed, or in some cases, rubbed into an affected area of a poison victim, will automatically heal the Digimon of any poison/corrosion effects they may suffer… if they’re willing to use it at all, obviously. If Skadi digivolves to this form while poisoned/corroding, then she will automatically be cured in the same post. Buffs/Debuffs:Call of the Mountains: +20% attack (apply next turn)

There was a slightly dumbfounded look on Toki's face after his combo. Like he had some sort of comical revelation about something. Skadi had been pretty quiet all things considered and never...called out their attacks. That always felt like an instinctual aspect of Digimon combat. Well now...since that's the case Toki can maybe start fighting on even footing with her now. Maybe even catch her off guard. The things you learn in the middle of combat.
The shockwave from Call of the Mountain pushed Toki back, causing intense ringing in his ears as he dug his hands and feet into the ground as the bamboo shoots swayed back from the force. Skadi had been successfully dodging or blocking many of his attacks and he's taken a few big hits himself. If he was going to start catching up, now was the time. Though now he tried to see if he could do this. Don't call it out...visualize it...
Toki's body started to shine brightly until it was a radiant sphere that darted away from the incoming Hurricane Wave. The sphere weaved through the bamboo at blinding speeds before attempting to crash against Skadi's side and push her towards a cluster of bamboo. The sphere of light dissipated as Toki's hands and feet became coated in hard stone. Don't call it out, he kept reminding himself. This was a little taxing as it went against everything his instincts naturally made him do. He grit his teeth and stomped forward as he swung his fist towards Skadi's side. Should this connect, Toki would begin a series of empowered blows against her. Kicks and punches that were not only ingrained in his Spirit, but also his years of training as a martial artist. Any opening she may reveal, he'd take a chance at it.
----
Toki has learned a thing or two from observing Skadi. While he takes the full force from Call of The Mountain, he activates the card ability 'Starlight Velocity' from MagnaGarurumon to swiftly dodge Hurricane Wave and attack Skadi. He then follows up with Dance of the Mountain King.
Dance of the Mountain King: Augments their hands and feet with hard stone and unleashes a barrage of blows against a single target
Card Ability - Starlight Velocity: The target Digimon turns into a ball of light, striking their opponent at great speeds.
Cooldowns: Earthen Bastion 2/3.

That previous shout had left Skadi much more invigorated than before, giving her a fresh burst of energy as she started Toki down. That had to hurt, and from the way Toki was reacting, it did quite a number on him. Still, she knew never to take her eyes off the opponent, and anticipate their next move. And as it turned out, Toki was learning. Fast. The Lagosmon's glowing body indicated another attack coming, and though Toki knew now not to call it out, Skadi also readied herself, raising her sword up high once again. Watching her opponent rocketing towards her with ease, she quickly stomped the ground once, and almost immediately, turning over to the sphere, a giant stone wall would emerge from the ground, spikes covering the front of it, threatning to pierce the Lagosmon upon contact. Sure enough, the Lagosmon slammed into the wall, and Skadi brought up her sword. Quite a bit of pressure too, the wall could hold it's own for some time, as the Lagosmon pushed himself into it. But eventually, Toki would win out, and the wall would shatter into pieces while Toki continued forward, slamming into Skadi's sword with quite a bit of pressure. It was quite the attack too, coming from a Mega level card, and thankfully, the wall and her natural bulk helped her to endure most of the pain, as her feet skidded on the ground, but thankfully a safe distance away from the cluster. Almost immediately, Toki would continue a barrage of kicks and punches coated in stone. She moved the sword once again to her side to help cushion the blows. Most of the blows she managed to weaken with her own trusty sword, moving them into where Toki would try to swing it, but other times, he managed to get a few hits in onto her bare flesh. It made her all the more grateful that her bulk could at least absorb some of the quite painful blows in the process, but she still grunted quite a bit, as she skidded back ever so closer to the cluster. Those rocks really added onto the pain. All the while, Kenny swiped another card into the D-Nexus, as he did, and just as Toki finished his barrage, Skadi would try and grab him by the neck once again and slam him into the ground a few meters away from her, while a flurry of yellow orbs scattered out in front of her, threatening to explode in a powerful chain reaction if Toki. With any luck, the Lagosmon would be at the mercy of the minefield, leaving him open to yet another powerful, dangerous attack that Skadi had in store. Nonetheless, the Markhormon would walk back and admire her handwork. Skadi uses Stonewall Barricade to weaken Toki's Starlight Velocity attack. Her Mountaineer passive reduces it further to a mere 80%. She then proceeds to endure his Wrath of the Mountain King attack (-30% less damage) by using the sword to soften most of the blows before reaching at Toki's neck to choke him, slam him into the ground a few meters away and using Duftmon's Conquest to create a series of orbs that will explode upon contact. Stonewall Barricade (RAM Upgrade): Skadi stomps the ground, sending up a surrounding circular wall full of giant spires with spikes lined on the front to protect her and up to 2 allies near her (within a 50 meter radius) for a post. This can withstand up to 3 Ultimate attacks (that's around 6 Champion level attacks) before breaking, while Rookie and below do no damage and 1 Mega attack is enough break the wall, but have their damage slashed in half. Anyone making physical contact with the wall suffers 20% damage of what their attack would’ve inflicted. (3 post cooldown) NS-18 Card Name: Duftmon Type: Digimon Rank: Chrome Digizoid Duration: 1 Post Conquest: The target Digimon releases small globes of light from its body, which detonate like mines if approached too closely. Passives:Mountaineer: Markhormon possesses a tough and well-rugged body that has survived even the harshest of winters.
Buffs: Call of the Mountains (+30%): 1/2 Cooldowns:Stonewall Barricade: 0/3

At this point, Toki's entire body was aching. His attacks thrown back at him with not much he was able to do about it along with being pelted by Skadi's well-placed attacks throughout the battle. His eyes still stung from the fog, his ears were still ringing from the prior ability. Now he bashed through a massive wall to get to Skadi, but even then he was still able to get a few good hits in. Even the hits against the sword vibrated throughout Skadi's body and each direct strike would likely be felt for a while.
Toki choked slightly when she grabbed his throat and threw him a few feet away. Then, a familiar looking series of orbs materialized and Skadi was just out of reach...he clenched his fists as the orbs glowed brighter and brighter. Then, as Skadi was walking away, Toki focused as a large horn grew from his forehead. It kind of gave him the appearance of a certain mythological rabbit creature. Either way, he stepped forward, putting him at the mercy of some of the closer orbs as the horn attempted to snag onto something on Skadi's body "Where do you..." he breathed out "...think you're going?!" he shouted as he tried to launch Skadi high into the air, the orbs exploding from Toki's motions.
Toki staggered back and slammed his palms against the ground to stop him from being completely launched. The pain was intense. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to hold out much longer. Provided he was successful at throwing Skadi he would muster up the willpower and strength to leap after her and make an attempt to grab her. A different ability? No. Beneath, familiar cracks formed around where he pressed his hands into the ground. Spiked of earth formed in a cluster that Toki intended to body slam Skadi into. Turns out when Toki gets pushed to the edge, he becomes somewhat of a berserker. At least in this form.
----
Toki used the card ability Scoop Slash in an attempt to surprise Skadi by launching her into the air. He's damaged by Conquest's detonation and he's clearly shaken, though he attempts to follow up by slamming Skadi into spikes created by Stalagmite Fortress.
Stalagmite Fortress: Upon placing their palms on the ground, an area of their choosing erupts in a barrage of earthen spikes. Enemies caught will be damaged and suffer bleed damage for 2 turns (2 turn cooldown.)
Card Ability - Scoop Slash: The target Digimon sprouts a large horn, focusing all of their might into flinging their opponent skyward.
Cooldowns: Earthen Bastion 3/3, Stalagmite Fortress 0/2.

Her gambit worked. Skadi could only grin happily as she watched the Lagosmon fly off away from her and into the minefield, and Kenny was cheering loudly for everyone to hear, tears of joy flowing from his eyes. Toki looked ready to collapse at any minute at this point, and while she did incur some painful hits, she still felt like she had plenty of fight left in her, and victory would be hers in only a few moments. Still, at no point she would refuse to look away from Toki and just sheathed her sword, even as a giant horn spawned from his head, and he went to try launch her up in the sky by snagging her by her chest hair, ironically tossing her away from the bombs.
Key word being 'try'.
All the while, Kenny looked at his last 2 usable cards, KoKabuterimon and MegaSeadramon. Both of these would help in trying to put the final nail in the coffin, and handing Skadi the win. This was now do or die time for the both of them, but what to choose, honestly? He picked out that card and swiped it across the D-Nexus, while looking at his partner hopefully. "Good luck, Skadi. I know you can do this." He whispered. He wasn't sure Skadi could hear, but he was more than sure she was giving it her all.
The combination of Toki's weakened strength and the Markhormon's size and sheer bulk made her only fly up a good 6 meters high and just a few meters away from him, but that didn't stop the bunny boy from following her and grabbing onto her, before the two ended flying down into the spikes, the Markhormon landing back first. While her bulk could once again absorb some of the pain, her back started to ache, and she could feel blood seeping out of her. But her pupils started to shrink and a vicious grin as she would once again try to lunge for Toki's neck quickly and without a moment to spare.
"Gotcha." She whispered menacingly.
Immediately, Skadi lunged up once again, and, had she managed to grab the Lagosmon's neck, would try to push him onto his back with both of his hands. Then, with one hand still trying to keep a grip on his neck, her other hand would pull out her sword once again, cold air seeping out of the business end of it, before ramming it down, aiming to directly hit Toki in the chest to cause a massive blast of snow and winds to push him deep into the ground. She had a lot of invigoration left in her and by God, was she gonna use it.
Skadi is body slammed into Stalagmite Fortress. She suffers bleed damage for the next 2 turns, but by virtue of being a physical attack, Mountaineer cushions the damage by 30%.
but she forces herself up with Kenny using the KoKabuterimon card to allow her to use Beetle Lariat to try and slam Toki into the ground, before using Snowstorm Geiser directly at his chest to try and finish this quickly as possible.
Snowstorm Geyser (RAM Upgrade): Skadi rams her sword, coated in the familiar icy aura, into the ground. Underneath the opponent’s feet (in a 100m radius), a giant geyser of ice and snow erupts, inflicting powerful ice damage and potentially launching them into the air in the process from the pressure alone. This attack can also strike flying Digimon as well. (If there are more than one opponent, Skadi can select who gets hit by this attack, giving it a bit of an element of surprise). If Skadi rams her sword into the opponent instead, then they take the same full blast directly to their body, producing the same effect as before, but instead launching the in the direction opposite of where she strikes them. (2 post cooldown)
Buffs: Call of the Mountains (+30%): 2/2
Cooldowns: Stonewall Barricade: 1/3 Snowstorm Geyser: 0/2
