The deeplane construction site.
More akin to a city at this point wasn't it? She had been told very little of this place, other than a group called the Deeplane city council ran this location and that Kizna had an alliance with them enough to warrant a embassy of sorts. The question with that was how did she get here?
Well rather than take a portal that would of made it easy... Holly decided to take the long way which took her through the dark area proper to get to this location. She felt it was necessary to understand this place. Those that were on the out needed to know what was within and she had to say that she respected the decision to build a city undeground like this.
How it worked was beyond her but the meicrackmon took out a camera and snapped a few pictures. A big old grin on her face, she really adored things like this. She loved the designs of the various cities and had to admit if she wasn't fully focused into studying to become a doctor the meicrackmon would of just toured the world. Seeing what there was to see and learning what there was to learn.
Another reason why she was here was to meet someone. Someone her sister went on and on about, thought so very highly of and told her endless things about. It made her envious. It made her miss her ma. The meicrackmon looked down at her feet. Unlike syre the meicrackmon didn't have a mother figure to fall back on. She had da. She had the few friends she made but that was really it.
There was no one that could really fill that hole in her heart and that on it's own stung. She'd fiddle with her camera, noting that she had mucked up and put her thumb over the corner of the picture. Huffing she'd go to take another one, raising the camera up.
"Wonder what she would of thought of this place... Did she even know about it I wonder?"
This was said without much restraint, the question thrown to the empty air. If her ma did know about it she would of fought for them, would of lain herself out for the people here. Holly knew that and she knew that she could expect the same of the knights. They were dedicated she'd give them that much. The meicrackmon stuck out her tongue and mumbled to herself, mimicking what her ma would probably say given the situation. More in an effort to tease herself than comfort but it did both all the same.
"Oh look holly... this place is entirely underground! You can probably hear your own echo if you yelled hard enough..."

For a place as bleak as the Dark Area, this day wasn't half bad.
As it was her routine for the last month or so, Amelie had taken the necessary steps on procuring the last details of the project going as smoothly as they could go; everything was looking rather well, and it was only a matter of time before the city could be properly opened to the general masses. Pretty exciting!
Right now, the rhythm had slowed down, mostly due to the mid-day break; despite the brunette's fervent efforts to keep things moving, she reckoned that everyone needed some rest every now and then, and that's why she had decided to wander on the city's outskirts to clear her head a bit before going back to work.
It was funny, but the time seemed to pass more slowly outside rather than inside. Could she really contain her anticipation? That was pretty hard to tell, in all honesty. Luckily, she would be brought out of her reverie by the familiar shape of a digimon that she had seen before; relatively recently, actually! For a moment, she wondered if...
"Mae, is that you!? Or maybe Tawna? Long time no see, anyway!" Of course, chances were that this was a completely unrelated Meicrackmon, but what could be done about that? Amy had to stick with the names she knew and hope those would be good enough. If not... well, she could only hope that this one wasn't feral. Having to deal with one of those on her break would be a drag.

The meicrackmon turned her camera this way and that, snapping picture after picture. There was a lot to capture here and a lot of the time her fingers didn't seem to be positioned in the right way. So she had to take a few of each one; though she started to get the hang of it and with a wolfish grin she'd flick through the couple hundred pictures she had taken in the last ten or so minutes.
Honestly she was going a little overboard, but she knew some people that would probably like the amount of images she took. The meicrackmon's ears flicked as she could hear footsteps; who was out here along with her? Some feral mons? Some workers? The meicrackmon turned this way and that; blinking owlishly as someone approached.
Then they spoke. Mae? Tawna? Holly knew both of those names. One was a dear friend and the other was apperantly an aunt she had never met. The meicrackmon turned, her camera's auto-focus making it easy to make out the human and without even a moment of hesitation she'd snap the picture, capturing her first meeting with someone she'd never met but someone that knew both an friend and aunt could never be bad!
"Eheh! Niether actually~ The name's holly! What's yours?"
The meicrackmon lowered the camera, a toothy grin splitting her features. She was in a much better mood than that dark time yes but there was still the edge of stress and tiredness to her smile. It was hard to sleep some nights even with her Da's medication and the stress came from her studies seeped into every aspect.
"My sis said I should come and visit this place and a person too~"
Unknown to the meicrackmon that person was literally standing a good bit away from her but honestly? What a pleasant way to meet an aunt...

Amelie didn't mind her picture being taken. In a sense, it was a weird form of flattery; this particular Meicrackmon seemed to be quite curious, and that was a rather dead giveaway of both her nature as non-feral and about her identity not being neither Mae nor Tawna. So, new digimon was it! Kinda interesting, all things considered; Meicoomons (and their evolutions) always proved to have colorful personalities.
"Holly, huh? Well, welcome to the soon-to-be Deeplane City!" She announced on a rather cheerful tone; Amy took a second to repair on the Meicrackmon's somewhat tired disposition, but decided to ignore it for the time being. "My name's Amelie, and I'm the person in charge of this project; pleased to meet you!"
Pleasantries aside, a curious eyebrow was quirked when referring to a certain 'sister' that had recommended this place as a visit. "So, uh. I guess you're either Tawna's or Mae's sister? Or maybe somebody else I do know?"
Yup, that amount of curiosity was hard to hide. After all, her friends' sister would probably be her friend as well. And while it was true that first impressions could deceive, Holly seemed like a total sweetheart.

Holly grinned ear to ear as the brunette allowed her to take a picture without really any fuss. She of course didn't stop with just one, she'd take a handful. Figuring that she could manage to at least take one good one out of them as she was still getting used to the camera. She'd rumble to herself as she went over them and procceded to hold it up for the human to see.
"Well thank you! It's very pretty, a lot of work has gone into this place! Maybe once I'm a doctor I should set up a clinic around here eh?"
The meicrackmon chuckled a bit and flicked her ears. Amelie. Amelie. The meicrackmon's eyes blinked furiously for a few moments. This was Amelie? The one that her sister wouldn't stop going on about? Or wouldn't stop telling her about. She felt her cheeks turn a rosy red and the meicrackmon realized that she never had put two and two together! That amelie was human. That syre had an aunt that was human, a uncle that was human and a aunt that was a meicrackmon. But did any of those aunts and uncles know one another?
"Ehhe... I'm neither of their sister's actually! Tawna's an aunt and Mae is a good friend of mine... Got me into anime~"
The cat let out a snicker and she'd flip through her camera till she got to a particular picture that she had saved a digital copy of on the camera for when she felt lonely. She'd offer it to the human with a sad but somewhat cheerful smile.
The picture itself was one amelie likely hadn't seen yet. It held a mikemon, a white cloaked renamon, a meicoomon and a blackgatomon. The renamon was hugging the mikemon and blackgatomon together with a big smile on her face while the meicoomon was almost piggy backing the renamon, though her head was set on the renamon's.
"I'm uh... I'm syre's sister actually. I suppose you don't know about Siris either?"
There was a long pause and she'd fidget a bit; she knew this person's name before even meeting them but never actually got to see a face. She'd bite her lower lip and huff out a small puff of air.
"Which... if you're the same Amelie she goes on about... that means I just met my Second Auntie."

A skilled digimon, willing to come work to Deeplane for like, no reason at all? Well, that was undoubtedly a lucky turn of events, even if the cautious side of the brunette couldn't but be a bit wary about it all. Maybe a bit too good to be true? Guess she'd find out, eventually, even if... the whole Doctor deal was enough to alert her of Holly's possible roots. Probably not accurate, but clues were clues, right?
"Thanks. It indeed has taken us all a fair bit of work to get there, but I am overall very happy with the result. I couldn't have done anything differently, even with hindsight regarding it; quite the trip, you know?" After a quick pause, she added. "I wouldn't oppose the City having its own certified doctor. If you're interested in a long-term partnership, I'm all ears. But I digress! Talking business with a new visitor isn't probably the most polite thing to do. I apologize for it."
An eyebrow was raised when the Meicrackmon confirmed that she wasn't related to Tawna nor Mae, even if they were close friends, apparently. Right now, all the clues were pointing at the Digital Field Club, and that meant that...
Yup. The picture confirmed it; this was undoubtedly one of K's and Mikemon's kids. Watching such a heartwarming scene made the young woman unconsciously smile. It took her a moment to break that reverie, but she finally spoke after half a dozen seconds or so. "It seems like those two don't waste their time, do they? And yeah, I don't know Siris either, even though I wouldn't mind getting to know my new nieces and nephews. We're one big family after all, right?"
To say that this moment was very special for the brunette was an understatement; conflicting feelings regarding how estranged she was from people she genuinely considered dear friends surfaced in her mind. For a moment, she had to compose herself and push them to the back of her mind again. "I have seen Syre somewhat recently, but it's been a long while since I've seen either Mikemon or K. How are they doing?"
Blue eyes looked both hopeful and expectant. She'd love to hear any news regarding three.

Holly wouldn't call herself skilled if anything, she'd call herself enthusiastic or perhaps even willing to learn. The meicrackmon admitted fully that every city without a doubt needed a doctor that everyone could rely on and with her da now residing in snowpoint well... She needed to spread out further, to places doctors would be hard to come by. Where she could without a doubt set up and be needed. She'd grin wolfishly and flick ehr ears forward, leaning back a little bit so that she could crack her back. Groaning softly as she felt that travel along her entire spine.
"You should be really proud of this place, I read up on the history of the dark area before coming here and I don't think even once someone tried something this big. I am interested in a long term partnership, though I have my own housing in Luminas... and I still live with my Da off in snowpoint."
The meicrackmon grinned ear to ear and leaned forward to tap her Auntie on the nose if allowed. Her gentle fuzzy finger hopefully not irritating the brunettes nose or anything. Was she allergic to cats? That would be awkward.
"None of that Auntie! Just cause I'm new doesn't mean you can't take the oppurtunity~ isn't that the best when something just sort of falls into your lap?"
The meicrackmon snickered loudly and flicked her ears back, eyeing the human as they had a silent reverie to her image. A happy smile spreading across that face and the meicrackmon couldn't help but snap another picture of it given the chance.
"They really didn't, three kids in less than two years I think? Two of them within the same month heh! Oh... Big bro isn't around much, he's super busy with knight stuff and well.. he's taken to being more aloof than not. It's all right though, everyone deals with stuff in their own way and he's got all the time in the world! And yeah! Uhm. We are one big family. Like wow, so many of us it's kinda crazy. I don't know what I'd do if they had more kids..."
The meicrackmon giggled as she was reminded of the mass of children that perry's parents had. That was truly a large amount and she was surprised that they managed all that. Holly was about to open her mouth to continue but amelie managed to steer the conversation quite well! So much so she'd grin a little bit. So they had seen her sister recently? But not so much to really know what had been going on. Then came something she realized. Something that made the meicrackmon's breath catch in her mouth. She wanted to stop her aunt from asking but there was nothing she could do.
But it's been a long while since I've seen either mikemon or K. How are they doing?
The expectant and hopeful eyes made holly's core twist in a knot. She felt her breathing sort of return and the meicrackmon rubbed at the bridge of her nose, a small swath of tears easing out of her eyes. How was she going to break this to her?
"...Syre's doing okay. She's been busy with knight work; I don't know what area she patrols but that's for compartmentalization or something. Da's been busy with his doctoring, working on various cases and helping me with schoolwork. See I'm not a full fledged doctor yet but I will be once I finish college. It'll be a bit though!"
She was trying to work up the courage, trying to work up being able to tell Amelie what had happened. How it had happened. She felt her words catch in her throat and after a moment all that came out was a small strangled grouping of gibberish. She'd slap herself across the face and huff in irritation before stuffing her camera away into an infini storage.
"...Some time ago. Around the second or third week of my life Ma fought wisemon in the eastern-timberlands. It was such a battle that it ended in some far off dimension between that of the gates of destiny. A hellish place that mons never want to see and none that enter usually return."
There was a long drawling breath and the meicrackmon rubbed at her temples. This was very difficult for her but Amelie needed to know the whole story and she needed to know the context of K's choices.
"She fought and killed him. But she was trapped in the beyond that is that place. So she broke her personal taboo in order to both escape and hold his data. Trying to make sure that he would never be born again for what he was trying to do to the world. I don't think she ever told anyone what those plans were either. If she even knew."
She was stalling for this fact but now that she got there well...
"...Shortly after. K went and fought the Demonlord known as Daemon, in the dark area. Your shores were torn apart in the struggle. In fact I'd be surprised if people didn't see the meteor that she dropped on the place. I only know because of what she told me. But after that fight she learned that Wisemon was turning her vibrant blue core black. So much so that he was killing her to try to resurrect himself."
Holly closed her eyes and let out a long sigh, taking a seat and motioning for the brunette to either sit with her or on the large cat's lap. As is she was basically a giant fuzzy chair!
"So ma and Da talked. They talked about it. And decided to remove his data to stop him from being able to kill her and make her his body puppet. They put his data in some totem and that's the last I know of him."
Holly drawled on even longer. Kneading at her knees and growling out a soft breath. She was frustrated that she still couldn't do more. There was a level of determination in her stance even while sitting that spoke of the choices she made and what she would do if something like this ever happened again.
"She had less than twelve hours after that to live. But one of her friends needed help. A spirit user named Toki. I will never forget that man for what he was to my mother defies me still. I believe he was a best friend of sorts. But after she went to go rescue him she came back. And for her last hour we were together."
Holly looked at amelie, the absolute sorrow in her tone in her voice and the tears streaming down her face spoke volumes of how she still hadn't really gotten over this event. How she would never get over it.
"...I didn't see her die. But I felt her go. I felt her data signal stop and saw a few wisps of blue data escape through the window."
There was a long pause and the meicrackmon rubbed at her eyes. Growling softly as she wasn't quite done yet.
"...There's going to be a memorial soon. I'm not sure exactly when but it's in a place that meant a lot to her. Where she meditated for two whole months on what it meant to be her. Where she finally became a knight. Maybe not a Knight but..."
Holly sighed and fidgeted a bit, looking somewhat unsure while biting back a harsh reprimand to herself. Cursing her inability to control her emotions in extreme moments like this.
"...I think she'd like you to come to the memorial. Or at least visit the place if you can't come."

The offer was tempting, that much could Amy say. Like she had noted before, it wasn't like she was in the position to refuse any kind of good-natured help. It'd be quite silly to do otherwise! And that was before even noting that Holly seemed to be quite impressed with this place; that was always a plus.
"Oh, of course I am. I'm very proud of how far this place has gone, even though that doesn't mean I'll keep improving it and having it become greater over time, you know? Stopping right here wouldn't feel quite right, especially when there's so many stuff pending to do. We could probably look at the details of a long-term partnership at a later time; suffice to say that, with portal tech and that stuff, where you live isn't quite relevant if you truly wanna work here."
Nose bopping was fine; given that the brunette was a very physical person, such displays were part of her everyday life, more or less. It also meant that patting what amounted to a huge, anthropomorphic cat was valid as well. She'd done this countless times with Syre, even though admittedly her form lent herself for this type of deal more than Holly's.
Understandably, the brunette was visibly moved at the picture. It seemed like everyone had gone on their own, separate ways; imagining that one of the children would inherit K's chivalrousness and join the Knights had been a given, but two? Guess blood ran strong within the family. She could bet that the Shutmon was proud of her kids; that much was obvious!
Amelie was also glad to hear that everyone that Mikemon and Syre were doing okay. At the description of K's adventures, plus Holly's reaction, however... the young woman felt a knot forming inside her stomach. It was almost like she knew were the tale was heading, yet held onto hope onto a potential good ending. Or at least for not what she perceived what would be the absolute worst one.
Progressively, Amy began to feel worse. It was quite obvious to notice how her eyes watered down, or how her legs felt wobbly and unstable. By the end of it, a noticeable trickle of tears was descending through face, and the fact that she could barely stand was very obvious. Some moments of silence followed, in which she couldn't quite find her voice.
"I..." It was raspy, and not very hearable, but she was trying her best. "I'm so sorry. I had no idea." Obviously, having asked in such a casual way regarding an event of this importance felt absolutely horrible in hindsight. "I'd be honored to attend her memorial. She... she was a dear friend, after all."
It took her just an instant to remember their moments together on the Tokyo, traversing the city in a bike while she was a small a Relemon. They had a lot of fun together, hadn't they? Reminiscing in a situation like this one didn't seem all that fitting, however. Mustering her best attempt at a somewhat composed facade, the girl just tried to smile before addressing Holly.
"Where are my manners. Would you like to come in? I'll treat you a cup of tea. Or something else, if you don't fancy it." Sure, not very smooth, but... not a lot could come from the two standing them, silently grieving the fallen.F

Holly's smile widened further and she seemed rather pleased with the fact that Amelie took her compliment and went even further to state that she indeed was proud. The idea of a long term partnership with this city was definitely something she'd want to consider. Getting in early as they would call it! The meicrackmon hummed a little bit and flicked her ears.
"That makes sense to me, we'll have to sit down and hash out the nitty gritty when we get the chance~ I'm not in a rush. Did too much of that when I was still really little!"
She'd let out a knowing chuckle, giving the human a doofy grin and shifted so that she was a little more relaxed. Although... With the way that the conversation was going it was hard to keep the cheerful facade ongoing. The story that she told to her auntie was a sad one, one that she knew would hurt in the end but she had to tell this young woman of what had occured.
The meicrackmon took the time t o stand up and if allowed? Would hug amelie close to her, letting those tears get caught up in her fur. She wasn't about to let the other have to suffer this in silence.
"...It's okay to cry about this sort of thing. I couldn't stop for like a week after it happened. But I at least got to say goodbye. Not a lot of people did get that chance."
The meicrackmon sighed a little bit and flicked her ears, glad to hear that amelie would be honored to attend her memorial. Holly would have to keep up and up with the brunette to make certain they could be there. She knew that her ma would want the human there.
"It's... not all bad though. She... well she wasn't loaded so she came back in a sense but... She's nothing like how she was before. Brash, arrogant, loud... Heck she's put at least two hundred bits in the swear jar since she visited last."
A low rumbling chuckle ran through the meicrackmon's body and there was a light purring that started up. She was trying her best to at least comfort the human in a time like this. Even if she couldn't even if the loss seemed far too great... She had to wonder who else knew her mother. And who else would find their own emotions challenged?
"I'd love to come in. Tea sounds really great but I gotta watch out for how much sugar I take. I'm uh... on sleeping meds and I'm not sure what messes with it quite yet..."
The meicrackmon reached down to give the top of the human's head a gentle pat, rufflign at that hair for a moment before sighing sweetly.
"I think... Syre could use a visit from you at some point Auntie. I already had to deal with someone's death that was close to me, so I had a better time coping but this? Ma was the first person she lost."

A nod and a satisfied smile were given to Holly's proposal. While it was true that negotiating such things would be unfitting for a first meeting, at least there was this nebulous agreement regarding cooperating in the future; good enough for the brunette until a later date. Not like she was in a hurry to deal with this type of things, anyway.
Holly wasn't K, but Amelie could see that the apple hadn't fallen that far from the tree. She could see plenty of similarities between the two, and that realization was strangely heartwarming. Coupled with the hug that followed, a big step was made for her to bounce back from the shocking realization of her friend's death; it would take a long while for Amy to even try to think she will get over it, but... the process had to began somewhere, right? Instantaneously, she answered Holly's hug in kind. If it had hit her this hard, she could only imagine how Mikemon and the rest of the family would have taken it.
She did her best at wiping her tears with a handkerchief. It had been a somewhat spotty, yet fulfilling friendship. Enought for Amelie to consider K a dear friend and to know enough for what she stood for. To admire her bright ideals; it felt like a vain promise to make after she had met an untimely end, yet... she felt compelled to live up to them now. For her memory.
Given the inherent sadness of the story, thinking that there would a silver lining to everything that had happened seemed like no more than naïve thoughts, yet... she guessed there was one. Even if K's digicore lived on, what this new digimon really her? Chances are that the answer to that question was a more than definite no, even if that wasn't a question that the brunette would dare to ask, considering the blatant disrespect that it represented.
Was it really okay to expose her own grief, when others had or were suffering more than her? That very notion made her unsure, even if those thoughts were abruptly ended with a shake of her head. Maybe a cup of tea would help her clear her mind. "Don't worry about that; I don't know about you, but I prefer my tea bitter. I think that way you appreciate more the flavor. But that's me, I guess. Let's head inside."
The words that followed were definitely something Amy had been expecting, and that had been nagging at her constantly ever since she had heard those dire news. She had been worrying for Syre all this time, especially since she had behaved a lot more aloof as of yet. That just wasn't her, even though that behavior had been attributed at the young digimon naturally growing up and wanting her independence and space. How mistaken had she been...
"I'll make sure to pay her a visit as soon as I can." Which, by all means and purposes, probably meant immediately after this small meeting was over. "Wanna take the scenic route or just get to the city? I don't mind either, personally."

Holly was glad that her auntie would be willing to work with her, long term the meicrackmon always worried about things. She was such a poor planner when it came to short term planning the only thing she had going for her was her long game. With this put aside for a moment she was allowed a brief glimpse at the crack in Amelie's emotions. Something that she could relate to and with the gentlest of touches to the brunette's back she'd squeeze amelie against her.
The returned hug made her sigh softly; she could feel the grief from the other. Even if she didn't know the relationship between the two all too well she couldn't imagine it being that easy. Holly could only ever stare forward when she thought of her ma, thought of those ideals and the things she fought for even up until the bitter end.
But even in death K lived on, even in death the renamon had passed on a brilliantly burning torch to someone who took it practically sprinting forward. Adding to that flame with their own passions to create a practical inferno. Brash and arrogant the shutmon may be... But she was brash, arrogant and incredibly passionate. The little bit that she got to talk to them Holly found herself liking them further and further!
Holly reached down to gently rub at the top of amelie's head. If the other wanted to express grief it'd be okay; the meicrackmon had wept. She had cried into the night, she had lost a lot of herself when her ma left. She had gone into madness for a short time and was only reigned out by her doting father.
"I've never had bitter tea. Garlond likes his sweet and well.. I do like sweet things so I never really questioned it? I'd like to try it though!"
Holly beamed down at the human and found herself mulling over the questions she was presented. She knew that amelie would make good on the promise to go visit her sister... But a scenic route would make for more good pictures... while a quick to the city would get them tea faster! There was a slow clicking and the meicrackmon's face split into a grin.
"Lets go with the scenic route, I want to take more pictures of this place. Buuut only if I get to take more pictures of you smiling in them!"
The meicrackmon knew how odd that sounded, but she also knew that if you got a person to smile enough that eventually the kind things of the world would come back into view for them. K might of been gone, but Silence her second iteration was around. They were someone that she felt that amelie had to meet on her own time and learn about them on their own. Which meant that she couldn't cope with the loss in the same way the rest of them were given.
If they cheated it, the twisting route of someone's heart would make it so much more difficult in terms of recovery...

Holly's embrace felt comforting to some extent. The news had undoubtedly taken Amelie by surprise, and, truth to be told? She was struggling with them, but the situation called for a fast recovery; would she have the time to grieve? For sure, even if the answer her mind kept saying was not now.
In the end, while the young woman was thankful for the Meicrackmon's gestures, the hug was undone, tears were wiped, and a small smile managed to form on her face. "Who is Garlond? One of your friends, I take? Why don't you tell me about him while we get into the city? A person can never know enough tea lovers, in all honesty; good taste is hard to come by."
Since the longer route had been the feline's decision, Amy stepped ahead whilst signaling at the tunnel that wasn't very far from them. "Shall we? The tunnels aren't very fancy at the moment, but they've been operational for a while."
Thus, the descent began; the tunnels themselves were solidly built and supported, and were big enough for fairly large digimons to get in comfortably, even if they narrowed down the line. The path would last in between ten to fifteen minutes, depending on the pace they took; at least for the time being, there were no noteworthy features on the construction. Those were just tunnels that led into the city, after all.
Once they finished, however? The full view of Deeplane would be in front of the two; polished rocky formations, vaguely illuminated from a light source that seemed to originate from below them, all while an impressive range of structures arose, becoming taller and taller as they reached the city's center. A great tower that looked like a hybrid between a tower and a skyscraper arose. Upon further inspection, the angles of the buildings didn't seem quite right, but that didn't seem to affect them at all. "Well. Here we are. My office's in the tall building in the center. It should take us a bit to reach there, but I can show you the city's outline in the meanwhile."

Holly was glad that her auntie took the hug and the gentle support that she gave. Purring all the while to try to help her aunt feel better. She knew that it was hard to accept that her ma was gone, as family, as friends. As everything that there was here well... she'd treasure it. The feeling and sensation of a new person entering her life even amidst all the loss.
"He's ma's butler. He runs the paperwork in the knights and babysat me when I was younger when da or ma were busy. He's a renamon too and has some really cool stories!"
Holly smiled wide and took out her camera; it hadn't been gone for too long and the meicrackmon snapped pictures of the place as they went. Sure it was just a string of tunnels but... these were the tunnels to the city. Not just any crazy place that she went. They looked well cared for and holly bet that someday they'd be even better and bigger!
Once they came out of the tunnels holly's breath was taken away, her eyes welling up as she took picture after picture of the location, the clicking of her camera only accented by the small flashes that came along with them.
"He's a knight of sorts too yanno, like. Nothing like the actual knights... Like Asher or Luke or Iko but... He's a really good person. Joseph too even if he's sorta... well. After ma died joseph took it really hard. Cause back in the real world ma saved him from being what she called a 'trash panda' or something."
The meicrackmon shook her head and after a few moments well... She'd de-digivolve to her meicoomon, the camera a tad large for her now. She'd stuff it into her infini storage with a small huff.
"Probably be a good idea to stay as a meicoo.. people get antsy when they see meicrackmon's walking around I've noticed. This city looks so great for only being in construction! How long has it been in development? Is the outline going to increase over time or is it like set in stone?"

A butler, huh? "Sounds fancy. Maybe we'll meet at some point; he sounds like a nice guy." Deciding to not remark on the oddity that male Renamons were, the pair just advanced into the city. Despite the grievous news, Amelie was doing her best at trying to maintain her composure; the truth was that showing her city off was doing magnificent work at improving her disposition. It wasn't like she wouldn't grieve when the time came, but... for now, keeping on like this was okay.
Holly's expression, once they were on the city proper, managed to make the brunette smile. "Everyone did a good job, don't you think? This place took a fair amount of time and sweat to make, but I'm very proud of it. Building it from the group up was quite the trip." There was a non-marginal amount of pride in her voice, but was anything else expected?
"The knights seem like a really close-knit group. That makes me happy; I'm sure K was plenty proud of them." Was that a fitting remark for the situation at hand? Maybe, maybe not, but... better to just not delve a lot into that.
A nod was given after Holly devolved back to what the young woman thought as her rookie form. Probably would make everyone a little less antsy, even though the cats themselves had managed to build something akin to a less-than-ideal reputation. But it wasn't like that mattered; what mattered were individuals, not loosely define groups. Anyway!
"Well, by all means and purposes, it's about to be finished. We're just missing the last details and enhancing the entrance's aesthetic a bit, but... as far as actual construction goes, we're pretty much done." The following questions were a bit harder, but she could definitely answer them. "We've been doing this for... a year maybe? Maybe a little more or less, I can't quite really tell; time's a bit wonky when you constantly travel from one world to another. But yeah, we're eventually gonna expand upwards, and who knows where else! But that's something for later. Would you like to visit any place in particular, or do I just show you the sights as they come? I'm fine with either."
Granted, Holly had accepted an offer for a cup of tea, but she had also asked to take the 'scenic route' so what to do was more or less on her.

”He’s okay, He’s a little closed off to everyone but it’s just how he is.”
The meicrackmon gave a small shrug, Garlond was a professional and rarely had his personal life mix in with his work. She didn’t know much about him other than what he told her and well… It was helping her auntie move on from the dreadful topic from earlier. The meicrackmon nodded slowly as amelie asked her if she thought everyone did a good job. If anything there was a lot here in front of her that would make anyone want to live here.
”I can imagine, construction and getting everything laid out underground without it coming down on your heads must of been difficult!”
She could sense the pride in her voice and the meicrackmon gave a big ol grin at it, she liked it when people were proud of their accomplishments. Not everyone was like her ma who saw what she did and kept on moving forward, only reflecting on what she had done afterwards. It was a strange way to go about things but… It worked out for her.
”You think? I think that she is, but I’m not sure how tight knit they are. I don’t see them enough to know much yanno?”
Holly trotted along, though she seemed to be having trouble keeping up as she stumbled along. Her less than ideal legs weren’t good at keeping up with people in the same fashion that she was used to walking. So she had to shift to walking on all fours before just letting out a soft ‘bah’ moving back to how she was comfortable walking even if it slowed the pace!
”So small works huh? That’s good! And once it’s done done you can take a little time to relax right? A year? You built a city in a year? Jeez. That’s fricken crazy! And expand upwards?”
Holly looked upwards to the ‘sky’ of the place and blinked slowly before turning her head back to her auntie. The digimon mulled about the choice that she was presented, did she want to visit anywhere? Show her the sights as they come? Well… The latter seemed reasonable as she didn’t have any real idea about the place!
”Let's go with the latter! But if you have any that you want to show off I’d love to see what you have here auntie!”
