Kan couldn't remember the last time he had been mountain climbing.
When he was younger he had gone a few times to some rock walls or the like, but he had never really climbed a mount properly until much later in his life in the digital world. He wasn't prepared that time around and even with it being smaller than others he had nearly fallen to his death. In fact he was pretty sure that the 'mountain' was many times smaller than the one he was hiking up the side of now.
Before he hadn't been very well prepared either, not bringing much else other than his small bag of 'general use' items in the digital world. The cold and terror biting at the younger man. But now he was well aware of risks and what came with them. So he bundled up accordingly, grabbed the right gear. Did his research.
Each area in the digital world had it's own dangers, dangers that you could prepare for if you took the time. Like here for example, it was a slippery slope if you didn't bring shoes with the right sort of grips. Or having some of those walking sticks with spikes at the end of them for added support.
Gretal had griped about him spending too much money just to go explore a mountain but the man had managed to talk her out of worrying. They had met and over shot what they had assumed they'd make during this quarter already. The man had been rather happy to go take some time and leave the shop in her hands for the meantime while she re calibrated herself.
So with each step up the side of the mountain the man took a soft but deep breath, pulling in air from outside of his scarf. Setting the pike down into the ground he'd adjust his hat unsure if he should actually put on some eyewear for when he eventually crossed into the more dangerous part of the mountain. What was he at? The third waymark of this place?
He'd hold up a hand to sort of 'shield' his eyes from the sun as he looked upwards. There was still a lot of the mountain left and he wanted to get to the mid point before either making camp or taking a break. Depending on how the slope went and how much time he'd eat up. He had started this trek when it was sunny and about... Seven in the morning? It was nearly noon now and the sun was hidden behind the cloud cover. Which didn't surprise him too much.
Shrugging his shoulders the man picked his pike back up, marked off a spot on his map. Folded the paper and put it away in one of his coat's many pockets before getting started again. The heavy crunch of his steps coupled with his even breathing was the only real sounds he made on his way up...

Amelie gazed at the path ahead.
Sure, this iteration of 'a breath of fresh air' might have been a bit hyperbolic, but it was probably the correct decision; right now, the girl's mind was filled with doubts. The jagged slope besides her of her was the perfect representation of her mental landscape; disorganized, dangerous, scarred. How in the world could she face anyone after the events of last night? Could she even face herself? Ever since she had woken up, she felt like not even her body was hers anymore.
It was frustrating, for sure. And that was why she was here, hiking along what looked like a perfectly random mountain in Northern Providence. Away from everyone and everything. It was funny how she didn't feel tired at all despite the fact that she had already walked for what felt like... four? Maybe five hours? Heavy clothing and treacherous terrain hadn't done a lot to tire her out. Puzzling, to say the least, yet... not something exactly at the forefront of her thoughts at the moment.
A sigh escaped her throat. This felt like an exercise of futility; why couldn't he just feel better and return to what she was supposed to do already? She had imagined herself better than this. Way better; yet... here she was. Alone and trying to navigate a maze that she barely understood, despite the fact that she should know herself more than anyone. The most aggravating part of it? The fact that everything felt so... silent. Deafeningly so, in fact; despite the howling winds and the sound of her own breath, for the first time in a while, the brunette realized that no other sound nor sensation was accompanying her.
And, god. Sure did she hate it. That... thing was a fucking coward. In every sense of the word.

The soft crunch of the snow was something that kan would never get used to. He never really went out to cold places nor did he really go outside very much as a youth or during his fledgling years as an adult. He tried to avoid problems like these and now as he approached his thirties well... The man breathed out through his scarf and found that the wind had picked up a bit. Furrowing his brow he'd stop to pull out a pair of ski goggles. They weren't anything special; just some name brand product he had found in one of the many shops near his home.
Strapping it around his head the man re-did his scarf and hat after a few more moments. The man looking closer to an escamo than someone 'from' japan. though during this pause he'd pick up something else. Another set of crunching not his own; the man looked around. Picking his pike out of the ground and furrowing his brow underneath his hat.
If this was a mon approaching him with the intent to attack they were doing it awfully slow and if it was something else? Perhaps a human or younger mon... What were they doing so far out here? Kan considered for a few long moments hiding to just avoid who-ever it was approaching but figuring he was safer approaching them than trailing behind them he deigned to wait.
Up until he could make out who was approaching from below. He'd raise his hand in a greeting and with a throaty greeting call out to them. His voice was even and carried with it someone who knew more English than Japanese but had spent more time in a Japanese speaking area for it to sort of bleed in.
"Hey there! Friendly I hope?"
He'd find out shortly, if it wasn't friendly he'd have a tussle on his hands down the side of a mountain. He knew that snyder would relish a fight like that especially given his fondness for fire and what came along with it...

It took Amelie a while to register the sound of whatever (or whoever) was calling to her. Just then, she got out of that moment of —admittedly— self-destructive introspection. Her eyes focused on the figure that was calling; a human? A giant of a man, for sure, but he looked like a human, at least. A holosuited digimon wasn't out of the question, but... why would they do something like go hiking on their holosuit? That'd be really weird.
In any case, she looked upward to face him, and after hesitating for a couple of moments, raised a gloved hand to wave at him. "Hey there." Her own greeting was a lot less enthusiastic than his, yet still managed to sound somewhat friendly. Once the distance between the two was closed, she spoke again. "Yeah, I'd say friendly. What about you? Taking a breather as well?"
All things considered, finding a total stranger in an environment like this one was a blessing in disguise of sorts. Getting a break from the less-than-healthy thoughts that populated the brunette's mind, whilst still avoiding contact with anyone involved in yesterday's events. She had no idea about what this person was doing here, or if they'd remain in this place for long or not. But that was something that would be found out pretty soon, anyway.

Kan figured that his voice didn't carry all too well in this environment given how late that the other responded to his greeting. That or perhaps she was trying to figure out if he wasn't some kind of mon that would prey on her or something. The man shifted slightly to lean on his pike, uncertain for a moment what he was dealing with. But her greeting and the follow up to that was something he'd manage to grin about.
"For the most part, been at this for a bit and well.. heard the crunching so figured I'd stop and see who's who."
He'd give a small shrug; it wasn't a surprise running into another human in the digital world. Perhaps in an environment like this it was a touch rarer but... Kan didn't mind it all too much. He preferred company over not and perhaps he could have a climbing partner now?
"Figured it was a good day to get out of the shop and well. Adventure around hah."
The man shook his head, pulling up his ski goggles so that the other would know for a fact he indeed was human. The wind wasn't biting as hard now anyways and it'd do him some good to at least show off those striking blue eyes of his.
"Name's kan. What's yours?"
He'd lean forward on his pike, seeming actually pretty relaxed considering their location. Maybe it was because of snyder or maybe it was because he was just confident in a place that one wrong move could send you down a nasty tumble...

Guy looked like a friendly person, at least if going by first impressions. Good thing? Bad thing? Honestly, Amelie didn't even if know if she wanted company right now, even if she probably did need it. After what probably was a few seconds too many, the brunette nodded the man's words. "I'd say that you look like you're pretty experienced at this type of thing, yes. Mountaineering seems like a pretty fun hobby; never thought about it that way."
Those sentences didn't quite make sense, but that had been a trend with the girl as of late. In any case, she shrugged exactly after Kan did, just before adding further to what he said. "I've gotta say that this place is relaxing, overall. And thankfully, it seems like there aren't many hostile digimon, so I guess that's always a plus."
Granted, Northern Providence was probably the less densely populated area of the Digital World, Snowflake and Ys notwithstanding. But that was one among the many reasons she had chosen this place for this small attempt at escaping.
"Name's Amelie by the way. Weird place to meet somebody, but I guess it works as good as any." At least for her right now, the situation was somewhat... strange, even though she couldn't quite place why. In a sense, interacting with people felt strangely... alien. She figured she was making things a bit awkward for Kan, but it wasn't like she had any grip on that.
"Any goal for your trek? Aiming at the top of the mountain or...?"

"Well when you've been wandering around the digital world as long as I have you tend to pick up a few things. Such as what to do when in a mountainous region; I'll admit I've never been to one this big."
The man made a little hand wavey motion for that, he knew what she meant and that wouldn't stop his smile from reaching his eyes. Even though that his mouth was hidden. Some people got light headed when in mountains and he just sort of coupled that together with how the sentences didn't flow all too well.
"Relaxing? Yeah. I'd have to agree. There's not many, the ones that are overly hostile don't last all too long. Especially given how many folks might be out of their depth."
A small shrug and the man turned his head to look out from the mountain. A hostile digimon in a place like this was rare as if you expended too much energy just defending your place from peaceful passerby... well. They would eventually just tire themselves out!
"Well the digital world is a strange place, you meet people you never expect and do things normal people would never dream of."
He'd turn his head back to the young woman, he'd adjust his goggles a bit and let out a small laugh at the questions she posed for him. Honestly did he even need a goal? He just wanted to enjoy himself. Maybe get to the top!
"A pleasure to meet you Amelie! Well see I'm a spirit user, so I tend to go to wierd places on the regular. So I had the thought of going to the top of the mountain in the first place to see if my spirit would resonate with it or something. Then after a bit I got into the idea of just doing this for fun. See how high I can get. If I get to the top great! If not, maybe next time hah!"
The man chuckled a bit and let his goggles back down over his eyes. He'd cast a glance behind him before checking a rather hefty looking watch that was just where his wrist would be.
"I'm looking to make camp in about an hour or two. If you want to join me for the trek up I'd appreciate the company."

Yup. Guy definitely knew his way around this kinda stuff. For how long had he been traveling through this kind of area? That was a pretty good question. "A fan of cold climates, it seems. I personally prefer warmer places, but I gotta admit that this place ain't half bad. I've never been to Terabyte either, but I can say that, thus far, the experience has been pretty calm. Being on your own with nature feels oddly liberating, if you catch my drift. But I digress."
She nodded at the man's words. He had a point regarding this kind of environment to be treacherous if you weren't careful. And the overly aggressive digimon types tended to be somewhat reckless, so... it was overall unsurprising that this place managed to be fairly peaceful. Focusing on surviving seemed like the way to go over here, more or less.
A fellow spirit user, huh? Well, that made sense, considering that he had been on his own for the longest time and there was no sign of any digimon partners. The other option was a holosuited digimon as she had pondered before, but that admittedly seemed less likely.
"I see. Seizing the spirit powers to practice some extreme trekking, right? That, indeed, does sounds like a lot of fun." Her tone managed to remain somewhat even, if there was a hint of displeasure on the remark. Was she being sarcastic? No way to truly know. "That's a good way to see the journey, I guess. Not knowing when to give up tends to be a liability, especially when it comes to extreme sports."
The brunette would let out a sigh after the explanation, just to nod right afterward. "Sure. I wouldn't mind accompanying you if you're willing to have me. Don't have to say I'm probably gonna be more inconvenient than useful, though."
That detail was probably more than obvious. What could a small and weaker girl do in comparison to a bear of a man? Chances were that she'd end up being a liability.

"More of a fan of these sorts than the desert, only so much you can take off before you start getting weird looks digimon or no. I do catch your drift, for about ten or so years that's the sort of thing I enjoyed doing in the digital world. Even though in the last two or so now I've been just tending to my shop."
Kan chuckled a little bit, gripping his pike a little more firmly as to not lose it in the off chance his gloves slipped. He didn't like the idea of aggressive digimon in these parts, if they were he'd have a rough time on his hands seeing as he was just a rookie again. The man rubbed at his face with the back of his hand; feeling the woolen material against his face also felt a touch... Odd as he had just shaved again.
"Well most of this has been on my own, though when I first got here I had considered using snyder to walk up. Felt better doing it on my own haha."
The man tilted his head, noting the small bit of displeasure. Though he decided not to comment on it since he wasn't sure if it was intentional or not. He'd chuckle softly and pat the bag he was carrying.
"yeah, I thought it'd be a better idea than trying to go all at once. A few hour rest in a bit followed by more hike, then another rest. If it hits night though I'd probably want to camp for it rather than risk climbing."
The man shrugged and grinned; his scarf moving a bit as the other agreed to tag along with him. Though he'd give a small wave at the idea of her being an inconvenience.
"Oh I think you'll be fine, do you want a pike? I've got another one in my bag."
Offer taken or no the man would lead the way, hopefully making it just a little easier considering the sheer size of his trail. Being six five meant he also had fairly large shoes, at least when in comparison to amelie.
After a few hours of trekking with kan making comments about the place here or there and even going so far as to admire some deposits of ore on the side of the mountain they would reach a good spot to 'make camp' for at least a bit. It was a fairly wide portion of mountain that the main would test with his pike.
"Seems about a good spot as any. Let me get the tent set up..."
Suffice to say it wouldn't take him long to get a rather sizable tent set up, the inside of which was lit by a small array of lights powered by a small portable generator he would leave outside, the gentle hum creating a nice backdrop to the silence of the area. A few more supports were put down to make sure that the tent wouldn't be blown away, along with a wind tarp and he'd dust off, pushing open the tent to invite the other in.
"C'mon, I can get a table and some chairs set up; might as well eat while we're at it."
Just how much did the man pack? Though once inside and the tent was sealed he'd pull out a small blue box which he was able to pull a pair of chairs out, a small folding table and a few packages of food.
"Nothing too fancy I'm afraid; but I made sure to pack a lot just in case."
Scarf, hat, gloves and goggles were pulled off only to be placed to the side and amelie would get a look at the man properly for the first time. A sizable scar went over the left side of his face, up into his hair and seemed to vanish into the mess of red. It didn't seem to affect his eye too much which was likely thanks to whatever doctor had treated him at the time...

Ten years, huh? A pretty impressive amount of time, all things considered. "The desert isn't half bad, if you get used to the bad weather. Having the proper tools to traverse it help as well. I personally don't prefer any environment over the other. All have their charm, I'd say."
Even then, a slightly curious eyebrow was raised the mention of a shop. And 'Snyder'. "Guess that's the name of your spirit? That's interesting. What kind of shop did you have?"
Asking those admittedly superfluous questions helped her to remain distracted; her main goal for the time being. A tent seemed like an alright idea even though the Amelie was somewhat doubtful about it. Was it due to the fact that this was her first time sleeping in such a cold environment, or due to other reasons? In all frankness, not even she did know.
The brunette proceeded to shake her head at the man's admittedly kind offer. "Don't feel like using one, to be honest. Don't worry about me." That attitude, coupled with calling herself an inconvenience was undoubtedly weird. Or did it make sense, considering that she was already being inconvenient, and thus, being offered help? Not exactly an outlandish thought, considering her current state of mind.
Once that had been taken care of, the girl just followed after her own acquaintance. She had to admit, walking behind him was a fairly deal easier than it had been while doing so on her own. What else could be said? The mountain range was very pretty, in its own snow-filled way. The place managed to remain very interesting, and the ore deposits kind of made Amy's head spin with an idea for later. Right now, however...
It seemed like it was camping time. The tent was fairly big and accommodating; definitely something unexpected. Lights? That was quite sophisticated for a camping experience, but it wasn't like she was going to complain.
Not to say, eating sounded like fun; the whole trip had managed to make her quite hungry. She entered the tent and helped to set everything up. Just then, she'd remove the unnecessary bits of what she was wearing at the moment and sit down.
"Food's fine. Thanks for the meal." Beggars couldn't be choosers, and this was more hospitality than expected or imagined. She stared at the man for a second, and after giving her food a bit, decided to ask a question that had been nagging at her for some time. "Why did you decide to... keep on doing this? I can see how the thrill would just wear off after a while. I personally don't see myself doing this after ten years."

"I suppose I can understand that sort of mindset. Something I'll have to consider when I'm in one I don't like."
The man let out a loose chuckle, tapping his pike against a particularly rough patch of ice that he'd have to break apart before they could move forward. It wasn't difficult thanks to the material it was made out of but it was still five or so minutes of him punching through so they wouldn't slip or something.
"Yeah. He's pretty active in terms of spirits, more so than my last ones. They could chat and sometimes interact with things but he's always around. Only reason he's not here right now is because he actually REALLY hates the cold. As for my shop? I run a mechanic's gig right outside of whitewater and in the human one I run basically the same thing out in society hill. Ex wife keeps an eye on that while I'm gone."
The man gave a shrug, she asked and well he would answer. He had no point in hiding information like that away from people even if they were basically strangers. It's how you made friends right? He'd turn his head slightly as the brunette turned down his offer for a pike.
"All right but if you change your mind just let me know."
He understood the desire to use one's own body over that of equipment. That and the young woman wasn't struggling with the snow really or at least the man couldn't tell if she was struggling. Kan would test the ore deposits and mutter something about informing the mission guild about them before moving on.
Once the tent was raring to go the man would crack the heating packet inside, shake the bag and then just wait. He leaned back in his chair and groaned a bit as he felt his body complain lightly. He probably should of rested earlier in the day too but he was so raring to go!
"Of course. Can't do a climb like this on an empty stomach."
The man would tug out a plastic fork from his bag, tearing open the plastic and neatly putting the trash into his bag. No reason for him to even consider littering in the first place. His sharp blue eyes flicked from his food and he'd frown before rubbing at his chin.
"I don't think that it ever really cross my mind to stop. I never had anyone when I was younger and here is this world that's nothing like our own begging for me to take it. That and I've had several different kinds of partners. First two were digimon assigned to me by the powers that be and the latter two were both spirits. I spose I don't get to choose if I want to do it or not but that's never the point."
He'd hum a little bit as he opened up the bag, letting out a satisfied sigh as he could smell the alfrado. These things were always a mix bag whenever you got them. Sure they weren't fancy but hey they'd fill you up and get you going!
"It was never about the thrill for me either. I feel like I owe it to my younger self to do the things I was either too afraid of doing or couldn't given the circumstances. Eventually I did have to choose to hide from the 'fate' as it were or just give into it and enjoy where it takes me. And trust me, I tried hiding before... Always found a way to pull me back in."
There was a long pause and the man scowled as his plastic fork broke in his grip as the Alfredo was proving to be a touch more than it could handle at once.
"And I'd rather be doing stuff like this than what I almost did for Vexus. Won't be able to live that down for as long as I'm probably living."

While Amelie couldn't appreciate the depths of the current topic, at the very least she could openly admit that Kan seemed like a pretty interesting individual. "Fair enough; I'd recommend for you to not push yourself, but I guess that's something you already have plenty clear in your mind." And if not, it wasn't like that was any of her business. In any case, an eyebrow was quirked a the mention of 'previous' spirits.
"Did a sudden change, huh? I've heard of some people who got multiple spirit elements, but never about somebody who changed them, so to say. Must've been a very interesting process." Without delving too deep into the matter, it was easy for the brunette to guess that those events seldom happened smoothly.
Not like she'd let the topic remain there for long. Sometimes, some stories were better left untold. "A mechanic...? must've been fun. I've never been good—or knowledgeable on the matter, but I can imagine it can be pretty deep and fascinating; did you specialize in any kind of machinery, or were you more of a generalist?"
A nod confirmed that the girl thought she'd be okay, at the very least. The young woman reckoned that rejecting such an offer wasn't very safe but... this place seemed like it was easy enough to traverse. What was the worst that could happen? Considering they had gotten to the makeshift tent pretty easily, probably not a lot.
The degree of preparedness that Kan displayed was convenient for the situation at hand; somewhat lazily opening her food package, Amy began to eat while listening to the man's tale. Quite the rocky trip, hadn't it? And that wasn't to say that the amount of dedication —if it could be called that— with which he had faced the situation was nothing to scoff at.
"Feels like you have your fair amount of stories to tell." She remarked, a bit absentmindedly. "But I guess that makes sense, considering that the years don't come on their own, and that the Digital World is rarely uneventful." She let out a silent hum; it was absurd to think that anyone who spent that much time here didn't have regrets.
After a sigh, the brunette would look at the side. "Vexus? It sounds like some sort of team or organization. Bad guys, I presume?"
He seemed to be rather keen on recounting his past, so might as well, right? Otherwise, he wouldn't expose such a high amount of details so freely.

"Well I'll take your recommendation and add it to what I have in mind then."
Kan chuckled a little bit and shifted in his seat, he seemed rather relaxed even given the fact of where they were. He wasn't exactly looking forward to the climb that they had to continue on but... It was what he came here for and sovereign's willing [well maybe save for azulongmon] he'd manage to get to the top!
"Well it wasn't my choice to exactly change them. Some months ago when Azulongmon surfaced I was in the desert at the time, answering some distress signal for a tower. Suffice to say they were corrupt and his lightning purifies. So when I got hit by one of his lightning bolts he ended up destroying the lot of them and got this scar"
The man gestured to his face and gave a small shrug. He didn't seem too bothered by the fact of the change or the scar for that matter. He had recovered, gone through a period where he had to get used to the new spirit... and well. The man had to say that his changes from how he was before... He gave a small shake of the head.
"It can be a lot of fun too, there are some things that give you headaches I'll say that much hah! Oh. Uhm. Well mostly people bring their cars in, but I'm technically an engineer of sorts. So it's just a manner of being able to understand how things are fixed soooo... Generalist."
He seemed rather chill given the situation and with a small chuckle he'd gesture with a fork at her. She was certainly astute wasn't she? The man seemed to be somewhat amused by her; if anything he also appreciated the observations and the conversation!
"I suppose I do. A lot has changed since i came to the digital world. Heh. Yeah. Each year feels like several with how much happens."
Kan looked down at his meal, frowning lightly before taking a few bites. He'd look up at the brunette, his frown evened out and his eyes softened a bit.
"One of the few regrets I've had. I was foolish in my youth and did things that I'm not proud of. They were responsible for attacking luminas some years back and the fallout can still be felt even now. But I heard they had a coup recently which... well I'm hopeful for. I just wish that they could of changed beforehand and maybe the people who instigated the attack in the first place wouldn't of felt it was needed. They used to be an orginization, but now? I'm the only former member left; then again that seems to be the case with a lot of the people I've met over the years. They come to the digital world, get into it and it... well they just vanish after a while."
He'd scratch at his head and give it a firm shake. It was pretty negative wasn't it? It was a bit saddening he'd admit, a few of his good friends had... well stopped coming about. He heard that some died, some moved on and some... some just couldn't be found. He'd grit his teeth a bit and give his head a small tap.
"I'm glad though that I managed to get what amounted to a bit of redemption though. Not everyone gets a second chance and I'm loathe to waste it on doing stupid stuff again. What about you? What sort of things have you gotten into if you don't mind me asking?"

A nod followed suit; that wasn't an expected response. Might've been a tad too... robotic? In any case, that was none of her business. The atmosphere inside the tent was quite relaxing, and risking to ruin it wasn't a worthy goal to pursue.
Her body shifted in her chair, trying to adopt a more comfortable posture as she listened to the man's words. Getting struck by a sovereign's lightning bolt and surviving wasn't a small feat, especially as —seemingly— scot-free as Kan had. Guess he could consider himself lucky. Starting from a scratch, if that term could even apply, was an opportunity that not a lot of people could get, The cost might or might not have been big, but the fact that it probably had been worth it was hard to deny.
Thinking about that wasn't fitting for the situation, however; right now, the brunette decided to focus on the more mundane aspects of the conversation that was being held. A small smile denoted appreciation for the man's frankness. "Generalist, huh? I don't even know if that's an adequate term; I feel that might be too unspecific when it comes to understanding how machinery works and what makes it tick. But that's me. I might think about a better way to describe it down the line."
An entertained chuckle escaped her lips. Was it really fitting to contradict herself? Probably not. Some work would be done in her meal while she listened. "Not proud of? I guess that happens to most of us, even if I'm unsure on whether on the scale of what you're telling." She made a small pausing before addressing the event in question. "Attacking Luminas, huh? Not everyone can say they have instigated something like that. What was the reason? I gotta say that something like that doesn't happen every day. I'm not a fan of Luminas being on a state of disarray, however; I've heard rumors that aren't super exciting, but I hope that's just what they are. Rumors. With any luck, everything will fall in place once things stabilize. And I guess we'll see how to go from there."
A sigh escaped her throat as the conversation slowly turned towards her. The ball on her court now. "I agree with what you've just said; second chances are a luxury that shouldn't be wasted. Regarding me, though...? Most of my adventures and time spent in this place are directly related to a project of mine—I'm trying to convert the Dark Area into a place more fitting for both people and digimons to live in. It's been founded quite recently, so I've been busy making sure that everything is in order. That's it, more or less. Probably not as interesting as your own stories. But who knows; the story is still being written, and considering how frequent have world-ending threats become as of late, I wouldn't dismiss the possibility of less-than-pleasant stuff happening. Especially in the Dark Area. It's just a matter of time, isn't it?"
The brunette continued to dig in. This whole deal had her mostly unconcerned; as far as she could see, at the end of the day, the world just went on. Sure, sometimes it was damaged and sometimes it needed to recover, but expecting no less than that was quite naive. Overall, the conversation had been pleasant, even though it had fallen in a lull that Amy… preferred to avoid at the moment, in all honesty. Sure, the night had fallen, but she could deal with the cold just fine.
“Well. I guess I’ll take my leave. It was a pleasure to meet you, Kan. Maybe our paths will cross together again at some point!”
Without much else to add, the girl exited the tent into the night. It was only then that her D-Terminal began beeping, revealing a message from a certain pair of twins.
They were pretty near her current location. Talk about coincidences! [Exit]
