Catch-A-Ride [Justice] - Digital World Exploration: Prologue
|
Post by Alan Pantell on Sept 25, 2019 16:37:32 GMT
Dear Justice, Gumdramon, and Veemon:
How've you three been? This is Alan Pantell. You've met my partner Levi and me a few times now, but I don't think we've ever gotten a decent chance to talk. First of all: I wanted to apologize for that mission a while back. You guys were doing the heavy lifting, and I thought I could get somewhere by staring out the window of a restaurant.
Second of all, the real reason for this message: Since Levi and I got to the Digital World we've said we wanted to go out and explore as much of the whole dang thing as we possibly could. But as you and I both know, this world is a dangerous place. We resolved not to do anything too risky, try to train ourselves up a little, and focus mainly on getting to know the various settlements first. That was fine and all, but as time went on, we accidentally made the safe way a bit of a habit, and I couldn't help but feel like our precautions are starting to become unnecessary.
So here's the deal: We've been saving up bits for a while, and checking the prices in Terminus City, and somehow we've come across enough to have any sort of vehicle we want custom made, including all sorts of bonus features! We're gonna order one of these, and we're gonna be using it to explore the whole Digital World, north to south, top to bottom. We're also gonna use this time to get to know lots of people better, and my mind went to you three. Even with two of us, it can get pretty lonely out there, after all. Naturally, you wouldn't need to accompany us the whole way, but we were wondering: Would you like to be our first guests on this trip?
Even if so, first things first: We're going to go make our purchase of a vehicle at a shop that isn't too busy in Terminus. From what I understand, the shop at the mall has been expanding its horizons, so we don't need to deal with the full brunt of the crowds just to get our pick. Message me back to confirm, and we'll head to the little clearing next to the Terminus Station posthaste. I don't have any specific landmarks to give you, but you'll probably find us on a bench, fiddling with some device or another, glancing around every so often. If we spot you first, we'll make ourselves known.
See ya around!
Best Regards,
Alan Pantell
By portal or by train, whichever way they came, the Trailmon terminal of Terminus City would be quite bustling for the time of day, which was... which was... always so hard to tell in this part of the city, where the citizens themselves cloud the view about as much as the skyline. Justice and company would find that there were more than just a few benches in the nearby grassy clearing, dotted with streetlights, lit at all times of day for reasons previously mentioned. They were benches and lights of all sizes, too; the capital of an entire world of creatures all shapes and sizes had no choice but to be accommodating. Roughly human-sized benches with needlessly ornate designs neighbored slightly larger ones with a sizeable gap between the seat and backrest, presumably for those with tails. Quadrupeds and the like would usually resort to sitting down on the grass - it was far more comfortable, in any case. Strangest and most impressive were the titanic seating arrangements, so large as to have room for plentiful smaller benches below them. This has led to many complaints to the local government of, as one outspoken WereGarurumon of no particular note had once phrased it, "gazing upwards and seeing the wrong full moon."
Sure enough, though the paths were confusing and busy, it wouldn't be too hard to spot a 19-year-old human in casual attire tapping away at a "New" Nintendo 3DS XL next to a Veemon with a grey ivy cap. It was easy enough to see that they were quite focused on their current distractions, and were not going to be the first ones to take notice of their planned company approaching.

Dear Alan and Levi,
Thank you for inviting us to this exploration. It really came off as a surprise to me because I thought I was the last person to receive something like this since we barely know each other. And for that mission awhile back, don't sweat it! None of us ended up getting arrested or beaten senseless by an angry Red Veggiemon lol.
Honestly, for the longest time, I've always wanted to see what the rest of the Digital World is like. I mean traversing through two worlds on a semi daily basis is what everyone on Earth dreams of, but for now I guess that can be accomplished through science fiction. Despite that, I could never find the time to do any of that because I'm always busy with school. I'm not sure if you're a college student like me, but taking double elective courses can seriously tire out anybody if they aren't ready for it. I guess that's what I get for studying abroad.
But recently, a bunch of my professors got sick. Not sure why, but they decided to let everyone out for a few days, which is a relief on me since I ain't got to worry assignments, projects, and all that crazy stuff. So with this, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to tag along with you two and get to know you better.
Plus, I think Vee will be excited to see Levi since he's another Veemon. He's never interact with another one of his species, so I think it'll be a perfect opportunity. Though he has a habit of getting too excited to the point where he'll want to spar, so I'll make sure to calm him down when we're looking for a vehicle.
Anyway, I look forward to catching up with you in Terminus.
See you then!
Justice Tibbs
Exiting the Trailmon, Vee raced down the stairs, dashing past familiar checkpoints and surroundings of the terminal. Justice was a few flights above him with Gummy. Vee, for lack of a better word, was excited, so excited in fact he didn't know how to contain it. The door outside to Terminus City was approaching; he hopped up and down like a child excited to go to an amusement park and opened the door in a rush.
"Wait for us!" Justice called; he had a bag full of snacks and drinks that he had bought before leaving Earth. He didn't know what to get for this little outing. It was mostly just muffins, chips, candies, juice, anything that both parties would enjoy.
"You're too slow. You're too slow!" Vee was chanting he dashed through the door and out into the cityscape, passing through pedestrians on the sidewalk. Gummy careered through the door, into an empty area of the sidewalk, sighing at his brother's antics."C'mon you guys, aren't you excited for this super special spectacular adventure?"
Justice and Gummy exchanged looks.
"We are," Justice said, scratching the back of his head. "But we gotta find Alan first before you drag us all across the city."
Vee's ears slightly perked up. "Well lets find him! Gummy! Use your nose to find them!"
"Ok, ok, goddamn," The Gumdramon grumbled. He took a few steps and started to sniff the air, trying to pick up their inviter's scent. "He and Levi are nearby. This way."
Justice and Vee began to follow him. It was surprisingly busy here today at Terminus City. A little more busy than usual. The last time all three of them were here was when they had to stop a Demon Lord plot from trying to turn all Digimon into Burpmon via food. Wit the help of an angsty Black Gabumon, they were successful...though they did cause some collateral damage. It was a bizarre, yet eventful night.
After a few minutes, they came reach what seemed to be a park, with grassy clearings, nicely cemented walkways, and benches that were too small, and too big, probably for Digimon of all sizes. On one of the benches were two familiar faces: a teenager with dirty blonde hair, glasses, and causal wear playing what looked like a Nintendo 3DS, and a Veemon wearing a cap.
"That must be them," Justice commented. "Let's go say hi and go over what we got pl-"
Suddenly Vee took off from the two, his eyes glimmering in excitement. In true Vee fashioned, his bright idea (which was less bright and more just pure impulsiveness) to get Levi's attention was to pounce on him! "Leeeviiiiiii~" he called out in rambunctious fashion. If Levi didn't react in time, the two would go off tumbling in the grass.

At first, Levi's only reaction to hearing he might have had his name called was a disinterested glance in the direction of the voice. What did not to expect to find in this direction was a red-scarfed Veemon hurdling towards him at the speed of hyperactivity.
"GuKH-!"
Levi had the wind knocked out of him and the benched knocked from under him. Alan was startled pretty hard, with his 3DS spinning through the air, landing harmlessly in the grass about a foot away, next too the much lighter and less fragile grey ivy cap Levi preferred to keep on his head.
"H-hey, Vee!" stammered the Veemon, hugging the currently more rambunctious dragon while grasping uselessly for his hat. He loved affection, the more surprising and unprompted the better! However, for that reason, it also seemed to overload his mind, causing him to crave the warmth of his hat to smother away some of the feelings of vulnerability he was receiving.
"Hey, Justice! Hey, Gummy! Hey, Vee!"
Alan greeted the trio warmly once he finally got his bearings, put away his handheld, and handed Levi his hat.
"Glad you could make it! I wanted to say all sorts of things when I read your response, but... I think it'll give us somethin' to talk about on the way there. Let's see..." He fumbled around with his backpack, which he still wore for old times' sake (though sometimes he stored it in the infinistore when he didn't/couldn't deal with it) and pulled out a folded up sheet of loose-leaf paper. "Get this: The place we're going for a vehicle? New location. It's like a- a- not sure if this is the right word, but it's a 'subsidiary' of the main auto shop they got in the Terminus Mall. But that place is super crowded. This place? Brand new. Not even open, technically, but we applied and got to be "prototype customers" or something. Sounds shady, I know, but the car's not gonna be a prototype, just the shop. I have the weird-ass address written down here in case..." he would stare at it quizzically. "In case anybody we meet knows what to make of it. Anything else you need before we head out?"

Vee tackled Levi with the force of a Greymon on digi-steroids, knocking him off the bench and onto the grass. If he didn't had his attention when calling his name, he certainly does now.
"Hiya Levi," Vee said excitingly, returning the other Veemon's hug. "It's been so long since I last seen you! We haven't seen each other since that one mission we overtook with that other Tamer and his smelly Commandramon. How ya been? Did you and Alan went on exciting adventures? Oh, oh! Did you become a whole lot strong- Hey, hey, what are you doing?"
The Veemon was interrupted by Justice, who picked him up and held him in his arms tightly. Vee struggled, but it was futile. Gummy looked away in embarrassment.
"Sometimes, I wonder if you're actually the youngest and Gummy's the oldest since you two act so differently," Justice commented. He turned to Alan and Levi with a small grin on his face. "What's good, Alan?" He asked. "I ain't seen you in a minute."
The Gumdramon raised a peace sign at the two, wanting to be not as overly excited as his brother, but still polite in return. "Sup."
After that, Alan filled them in on what the plan was. Apparently, the vehicle they're trying to get is at a new location that just opened up in Terminus, so new in fact that they're only accepting preregistered customers since it's so popular. But luckily for them, Alan had already registered them. Justice was impressed that he planned ahead early, It really beats standing in line all day to get what they came here for. If it was him, he would have done it at the last minute, which almost never works out all the time for him.
"So the car's not a prototype, but the shop is?" Justice repeated. "Kinda weird because usually a store that's about to open up would advertise new things to get customer's attention. But I guess that's ok since the vehicle we're after is not hot on the market."
Alan then asked if all three of then need anything else before that head out. "Well I guess you can-"
"Spar!" Vee shouted out, his eyes still glittering in excitement. "Levi and I could do a quick sparring match before we go! I really want to see what you're made of Levi!"
"No, not right now. If Levi's alright with it, then yeah, maybe later after we get our vehicle and hit the road."
"Awww..." The ear appendages on the Veemon would tuck down behind his head, similar to that of a dog when their sad."
Justice continued. "What I was gonna say is if you guys want some of the snacks I bought for all of us?" The bag around his arm was filled with a variety of eats. "I bought candy bars, juice, muffins, chips, any thing that you can sink your sweet teeth into. Want to express my gratitude for inviting us, you know."
Vee's mood would lift up immediately at the mention of food. He reached in the bag and grabbed an applesauce pouch, opening the top and drinking it.
"Sure doesn't take a lot to lift your spirt back up again," Gummy commented in a cheeky manner.

"Ehhhh, I'd be happy to spar with you, but I'd reaaaaaally rather not do it in the middle of a crowded city. That's what the rolling green fields outside of it are for, ya know?" Levi rubbed the back of his head apologetically.
Alan couldn't help but chuckle but the antics and banter of the trio. They definitely seemed to all be in good spirits!
"Oh, it's perfect you brought snacks!" said Alan, eyeing the food supply. "We just ate before this, but we're definitely gonna want some of those later. We can talk while we walk, if that's alright with you."
They set out in the general direction they knew they had to walk. The disparity of sizes of digimon walking about the streets made it less crowded than one would expect on a walk through, say, New York City. Being smaller gave them access to plenty of shortcuts through alleys, and that tended to make Alan and Levi feel special! Or, it would, if they had known where any of the shortcuts led, or where, specifically they were going. In their previous trips through Terminus, they had learned to recognize areas by specific district codes, and even if they saw a name they didn't recognize, they would know which districts were its neighbors. The one they were looking for was... "District Y-R."
"Dash R...?" Alan pondered allowed. "Well, we'll go to Y and see what we can do from there."
The trek through the street-lit roads was a decent fifty minutes, and though they had faster transportation options available to them, such as the subway system, conversation and scenery helped them whittle those minutes away. To name a few topics:
"Well, we helped with two separate incidents where digimon were causing trouble in the human world." "But I can't say I really got to do too much in either of them..." "Oh, nonsense, you did all you could for the spire, but your diplomacy during golden week helped things along. And you digivolved to Ultimate, too!"
"Remember the Dorugamon who hired us that one time? Well, we were invited to the team base of the team he led, and another tamer and his Veemon gave us a real workover of a training session! It was a blast, and really helped us out!"
At last, they would find their way to District Y. The moment they set foot inside, the entire atmosphere of the city changed. The blue sky didn't betray a single hint of the crowded skyline that confused day and night, the surroundings were surprisingly quiet, and all in all, it seemed as if they had stepped into a rather well-to-do neighborhood, digimon peppering the streets, calmly going about their business: A Turuiemon, standing against a wall in the cross-legged, cross-armed "cool guy" pose many had come to know and love. A Babamon, plodding her way across the street, tossing some seeds at a confused-looking Biyomon, and would you look at that? An Omnimon was sitting on a large park bench, arms spread out on the backrest, legs spread out for comfort, basking in the warmth of the dubiously real sunlight in whatever way a walking suit of armor could.
"This is District Y... no sign of this Dash R business, though." The boy would then turn to Justice and company. "What do you think we should do? Ask around a bit, or go searching, first? I'm alright either way."

"Alright, it's good to know that I didn't bought all of this food for nothing," Justice said. "Honestly I bought so much that you could practically give it to a classroom of kids."
"Why would you give it to other people when you can give it to us?" Gummy asked. "Hell, just give me the whole thing, I'll eat all that food before you have the chance to clean your glasses, Specs."
Vee rolled his eyes. "And watch you get sick with a massive tummy ache again? No thanks."
The group then set out to wherever Terminus Mall was at, with Alan in the lead. As they made their way through the crowds, Justice held his D-Watch, registering as much information as he could about the surrounding Digimon for future reference. The three of them had never seen the city this bustling before, only semi vacant at night. To Justice, it started to remind him of his home back in the states.
They discovered the city was divided into districts: District-A to Z. What they were going to was District Y-R according to Alan. The walk was a solid fifty minutes, and to past the time, Alan and Levi started to share stories of their adventures, in which Justice was a bit intimidated.
"Well we were here in Terminus once before. We had to put a stop to a Demon Lord named Belezemon's burger business as he was trying to turn the majority of the population to Burpmon, We were up and down that night chasing that burger truck. It was only thanks to a angsty Black Gabumon that we were able to pull it off," he explained.
Gummy gave a frown and scoffed. "Are you kidding me? We could have easily took down that truck without that bat shit crazy 'mon's help. Honestly that hothead was more trouble than good."
"You're just saying that because he chucked you like a baseball at that truck." Vee was smiling broadly, chuckling. "He didn't even think about it; he just did it!" This only caused the Gumdramon to get angry.
"Shut up, snaggletooth!"
"C'mon, you gotta admit him throwing you actually worked!"
"The day when I admit that will be the day Specs finally grows a pair and finally starts dating."
"Ah sure," Justice nodded. "And that will be the day when you finally tell Bezil you have a crush on him."
Gummy turned red from embarrassment. "SHADDUP!"
Eventually, they would arrive to District Y. Stepping inside, they could feel that this was this was a combination between a business district and a hospitality district, where Digimon came to barter, exchange goods, sell their commodities, or looking for a place to rest and eat. Despite how nice this place was, it wasn't the area they were looking for.
Alan would then ask if they should ask around or go searching to see where Y-R is at. Justice crossed his arms and thought for a second before deciding.
"I'd say we ask around," he stated. "Someone here should defiantly know the place we're looking for. Besides, it'll take way too long if we decided to split up and look around."

"What!?" Alan stared at Justice with dropped-jawed grin. "You were investigating a Demon Lord? That's awesome!"
Levi was trying his hardest to remember something. "Come to think of it... wasn't that truck mentioned in one of the jobs in that weird gold-light notification we got on the D-Terminal a while back?"
"Oh, yeah! You're right! We applied for one of those, but I think they decided to save resources and do some of the missions later."
"Who knows?" teased the Veemon, "Maybe we'll follow in your heroic footsteps soon~"
The pair nodded at Justice's suggestion. "Yeah, doesn't seem like there's much to explore here that isn't private property anyhow. Why don't we ask... the big guy over there?" Alan pointed to the relaxed Omnimon on the park bench, scaled for a digimon of his size.
"H-him?" Levi was impressed, if put off, by Alan's decision to go straight for the strongest digimon in the vicinity.
"It's just a chat," Alan shrugged. "Besides, someone with a higher viewpoint is bound to know more about the city."
"I suppose you're right. He looks nice enough." With that agreement having been reached, they cautiously approached the knight, and called up to him. "Excuse me, Omnimon?"
"Hmm?" the massive digimon opened his eyes and leaned forward. His voice was deep and resounded through the vicinity, yet managed to sound soft and gentle. "Please, call me Omegamon. I'm far from deserving of such an all-encompassing title~" Omegamon's eyes formed the shapes one might imagine they would make if he was smiling, and therefore it was safe to assume that that's what he was doing. Alan shuddered, but not out of fear. That voice was like headphones-free ASMR: it seemed as if it was tickling to listen to. It then occurred to the human he hadn't interacted with many high-level digimon. Perhaps they wielded so much power that it was exuded in day-to-day conversation. Regardless of the reason, Alan found himself fighting back an involuntarily deep bow.
"Oh, understood! We were simply wondering if you knew the way to Distict Y-R!"
Omegamon leaned back, scratching at his chin with his oversized "hands." "Mmm... I do, but... I would be betraying my own moral compass if I didn't mention that I advise against you going there. The "R" stands for "Red," you see. As in, "Red Light District." It would be unwise to go in without good reason. However, thanks to our wonderful, hard-working city planners, you can't get in without good reason!"

Alan agreed to ask around the area for information, pointing to tall, knight Digimon in white armor sitting on a nearby bench. Judging by Levil's reaction, he looked like someone who knew the sectors of Terminus in the back of their head.
Approching him, the Digimon then introduced itself as Omegamon. Hearing the name alone made Justice's Digimon go wide-eyed, taking a step back.
"O-Omegamon?!" Vee said in surprised tone. "I-I thought he looked familiar."
Justice blinked and turn to the Veemon. "You know him?' He asked.
"Hell yeah we do!" Gummy answered. "Every Digimon knows who Omegamon is! He's one of the most powerful Digimon in the entire Digital World, and is one of the guardians that keeps the Digital World safe."
Skeptical of this, Justice activated his D-Watch. The Digimon came up on hologram screen, showing his name, a brief description, and some of his signature moves. After a couple seconds of skimming, he was left flabbergasted. "Oh damn you weren't kidding," he said slowly, nervously laughing. "This guy could level an entire mountain range if he could."
Despite being intimidated by being near a Digimon that has the power the split the entire city like it was a shish kebab, Justice's nervousness was put to ease at the Omegamon's voice. His voice was deep, yet sooth, that all three of them could listen to every syllable he says, and not get tired of it.
Alan asked Omegamon about District Y-R, who then advise them to not go there in response. This caused Justice to raise an eyebrow.
"How come?" he questioned. "There's a shop there we're trying to find is technically not open, but we were invited to be 'prototype customers' there. Is the place still like under construction or something? If so, then we probably got the dates mixed up."

The Omegamon took notice of the shocked discussion between the trio over his fearsomeness, and chuckled as quietly, as politely as he could. This wasn't very quiet, but it was clear from his tone that he was trying.
"Alike in form and ability though we are," the tremendous knightly digimon assured, "Remember that no digimon are completely unique in appearance by nature. Though my name is Omegamon, and I am an Omegamon, and I possess tremendous strength - tremendous enough to stop my usual policy of remaining humble - it is just that - Omegamon is what I am, not who I am. Even so, I catch my friends bragging they know me from time to time~" He would soon realize his digression and clear his throat, listening closely to Justice's explanation, that the humans and their partners were invited to some new store in District Y-R, which hadn't opened yet.
Alan jutted in to answer Justice's concerns. "I'm almost certain the date we were given was today... we wrote it down, too!"
"May I assume you would forgive me if I were to say... this store is about as suspicious as any corner of the Dark Area. That said, it is rude of me to try to withhold information. Perhaps I should explain. Your location, if it exists, let alone if it is legitimate, is located in a subdistrict the government has deemed too dangerous for regular civilian access. Unsavory types, criminals, you get the gist. As such, the municipality dictates you cannot enter without approval from Town Hall. If you are still as intent on granting this place your patronage as you were before, I can show you where you may apply for access. What say you?"
"But wait, you never said where the district is! Is it close?"
"I'm sorry to say you're as close as you can be without the greenlight."
Levi could only scratch his head at this answer. Why was this otherwise-forthcoming gentlemon being so dodgy on this one point?

The white armored Digimon explained to the three that even though he was in fact Omegamon, he was only just a Omegamon. Much like how Vee and Levi were both Veemons, This Omegamon was just one of the many of its species. This realization made both Vee and Gummy oooh-ed in unison.
"That...kind of makes sense." Vee said, rubbing his head. "My brother and I heard stories of the Royal Knights back when we were In-Training's living in the Village of Beginnings, but I guess they never told us that there could be more than one Megas of the same species, hehehe."
"Seems hella lousy for those caretakers to leave the bigger picture out if you ask me." Gummy commented. "It's like they think we couldn't handle a small revelation such as that. Why make something a fabrication if you're only gonna look stupid as hell for believing in it later?" Honestly if they went back to their birthplace, Gummy would give their caretaker a big earful about lying to the youth.
Omegamon then explained that the store was located in a place where the city sanction it to be a dangerous place--a wretched hive mind of scum and villainy. The only way to access it was to get approval from the city's Town Hall. This peeped Justice's interest even more. Why would a store containing a vehicle they needed be in one of the most dangerous sectors of the city, if the place event existed to begin with. All of this sound suspicious, and the Omegmon's answer to Levi's question made it even more suspicious, almost like he was hiding something.
Justice whispered in Alan's ear. "Hey, step aside with me for a sec."
Assuming if Alan followed along, Justice would lead them a little away from Omegamon and their Digimon, at the corner of the hallway so the Mega Digimon wouldn't hear them.
"Honestly, wherever this place that Omegamon said not to go sound real fucking fishy if you ask me," he beckoned. "So, wanna see if we can find it ourselves? He said the place is riddle with criminals, right? Growing up in a city such as this, you learn how to spot low-lives pretty quick if you don't want to get into some trouble. I've trained my eyes to sort out the bad ones from the good. This should be no different with Digimon I reckon. Either that, or do you want to wait at City Hall and wait for God-knows-how-long for an approval; The choice is yours."

The Omegamon chuckled and brought his hand lightly to his mouth, amused at the twins' reactions to what was new information to them. "Oh, dear. I do not know who it was that told you otherwise, but it is a misconception held my many. I hope it is not a habit to pass on such a falsity to our youth! I do not mind correcting, but other "knightly" types are often rightfully bothered." The large armored digimon cast his gaze wistfully in no direction in particular. "The worst of them I've known take it in stride, never correcting them at all for ill-gotten respect and sway over others... it is rather concerning... mayhaps the word must be spread... hmm..." Seconds drifted by, not waiting for the Omegamon to finish his deep thought, and then his eyes would open wide once more. "Ah! I my apologies! I digress!"
Alan agreed to let Justice pull him aside. In the meantime, Levi, satisfied that they wouldn't be getting more useful information out of the towering gentlemon, elected to switch to small talk. Royal Knight or not, it was very rare for a digimon of his (default) stature to be able to have such a close conversation with such a high-level digimon. He started asking all sorts of questions with childlike enthusiasm while his tamer talked some distance away.
Alan stared into the ground, the two proposed options keeping his mind at a standstill. He'd feel silly walking into City Hall on such suspicious grounds of his own. No bureaucrat worth their salt would even consider their "errand" to be safe, right? The boy opened his mouth to say something, but was interrupted by another voice barging into the conversation. As if from nowhere, leaning between the two humans was the head of a purple-and-white rabbit.
"I heard somebody was looking for some loooooowlifes~?"
"GUH!" Alan stumbled backwards. The Turuiemon they had seen earlier must have been listening for some time.
"Sorry, sorry, (I guess.) Forgive me for getting a LITTLE excited when someone, a human, no less, could figure out not to take what that guy says at face value." The rabbit squinted in Omegamon's direction, red gloves on his hips. "He ain't government, but damn if he doesn't lick a lotta boots for someone with no mouth." Soon after, a smile would find its way back onto the inter-lop-er's face when he turned his attention to Justice, extending a hand in greeting. "I like you. You're smart. Er than lots of people. To whom do I owe the pleasure? As far as anyone cares, I'm Turuiemon."

When Justice pulled Alan to the side, Vee and Gummy would join Levi and begin asking the Royal Knight a bunch of questions. Vee would share the same enthusiasm level as Levi and ask him questions pertaining to his status as a Mega-level, how long it took to get there, and what kind of training did he did. Unlike the two Veemons, Gummy would not share their hype level. Though he would ask questions about Omegamon's strength and what it felt to have the power to separate the land from the trees with a simple swipe from his sword. A bit power-hungry, yes, but that's how he was.
Meanwhile with the two Tamers, they were suddenly interrupted by a Digimon that popped in-between them. The Digimon in questioned was a purple rabbit Digimon wearing a yellow sleeveless jumpsuit, a blue bandana, and wielding what looks like gauntlets on its wrists.
Justice would take a step back, a bit surprised that someone was eavesdropping on their conversation. His D-Watch activated, a holographic screen forming slightly in front of him.
"Turuiemon, a champion level animal Digimon. Specialized in stealth and agility, He can catch his opponents off-guard by leaping into the air and striking them with a combo-attack called Gauntlet Claw."
Surprisingly, the Digimon would express Justice's opinion on Omegamon as well, even complimenting him. The young man would smirk, shaking Turuiemon's hand. He could tell immediately that he was a hustler. Suspicious? Maybe a little. But with the situation they were in now, they weren't going to get nowhere without some information.
"I'm Justice," he answered. "This here is Alan. And yeah, you could say we're looking for some lowlifes." He pointed at the District Y sign. "So basically, we're trying to look for District Y-R. We thought it would be around here somewhere in the Y district, but according to the Omegamon we were talking to, regular citizens can't access it since that's where lowlifes dwell apparently. The only 'legal' way to get is with approval by City Hall, but I say 'fuck that', we're just trying to get a vehicle from there. Nobody has time for that. You seem like you know a few things around these parts, so you mind telling us how we can get there?"

Turuiemon betrayed a look of discomfort towards Justice's reading of his scanner entry. "Gee," he sighed, "ya see a new face and the first thing you wanna know is whether you could take them in a fight..." His foot tapped nine times in rapid succession against the ground as he stared downwards, attempting to look hurt, but not keeping it up for long. "Hah!" the rabbit smirked, "Touché. But what's your scanner to say I use something called Gauntlet Claw! That's just a baseless assumption!" He'd interrupt himself to lean in and whisper to Alan. "Hey, kid, remind me not to use Gauntlet Claw in their company."
"Umm... right. You were saying?"
"I was saying sure, I can lead you there. But believe it or not, one thing the big guy wasn't bluffing about is that you need approval to get in there. I intend to make sure you get it from get it from the right people. City Hall doesn't give a shit about us. They shouldn't get a say in who comes and goes. In any case, meet me in front of what he calls "Town Hall." I'm not keen on lettin' him see me leading you fellas. Don't want to give him a reason to worry his pretty big head. You got that?"

Justice lowered his D-Watch and scratched the back of his in embarrassment at the sudden scan. It looked like he offended Turuiemon. "My bad about that." He said. "This thing's kind of got a habit of gathering information without its input. Tired to find the setting to turn it off but no luck so far."
The Digimon then further confirmed Justice's suspicion that in order to get to the Y-R district, they would have to go to Terminus's City Hall in order to get approval. Typical since criminals dwell there. But why completely section off an entire sub-district just to ensure public safety? He didn't like cops more than anything else, but one would think that there would be extra patrols from law enforcements in order to maintain order. From the looks of it, there was not.
Turuiemon then said to meet them out at City Hall so he can find both him and Alan a way in to this place. That should be a relief to them, but to Justice, it made him even more suspicious about their new 'friend.'
"Sure." Justice replied, crossing his arms. "But I got one question for you: what do you get out of this in return? By no means am I distrusting you, but surely someone such as yourself wouldn't provide this information if they didn't care about two humans trying to get in to an unsanctioned part of the city. But something tells me that you want something out of this from each of us. Am I wrong?"

Turuiemon chuckled and waved his paw in dismissal. "It's fine, it's fine. You don't need me to tell you should get your thing fixed up before it has to tell you about how little a digimon likes getting his information leaked."
Alan and Levi looked guiltily at each other when Justice asked the rabbit what he got out of this. It would seem they would have forgotten to ask for themselves, soon calling out simultaneously with: "Y-yeah! W-what's your angle!?"
The suspicious digimon took his time to answer, but he didn't look at all taken aback by the question. In fact, it looked more like he was trying to find the right words than trying to come up with a falsity.
"Progress," he finally uttered. "I'm less concerned with helping you specifically than I am with not letting him help anybody." He leisurely eyed the space to his left. His gaze ambled on over to the right, then he stretched and tilted his head towards the sky. "But a cute, fluffy punch-bunny can only say so much amidst the calming drone of District Y-G before turning the wrong heads. Might I suggest taking this somewhere less deafeningly quiet, if not completely private, when your buddies are done fawning over Mr. Good Samaritan over there?"
