Top eight, huh? Its time to make this a little more on the nose!Windswept HeightsWelcome to Luminas’ outer belt, where the islands aren’t even stable enough to keep permanent structures! Our contestants find themselves at Island X-77, which was at one point part of a larger island, but broke off due to a collision with another. And now? Well, you can feel it, this place is just whipping through the air! The few trees that are left are bent over backwards, and a constant howl of wind threatens to push both fighters off the south end of the island. And don’t think flying is too much of a help here – if the island gets ahead of you, you aren’t getting back, and it’s a long way down! No-one’s starting with their backs against the wall. Cion’s got the east end, Kenny’s got the west, and we’ll put them in a good twenty meters from each-other for good measure. Let’s see how they approach this – it might be difficult to calculate long-range shots in these conditions!

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Oct 18, 2019 3:57:24 GMT
From the very start, Kenny and Skadi weren't exactly expecting to get this far. If anything, they were expecting to fall flat in the first round and get kicked out relatively quickly. Not the case. In fact, these 2 had quickly established themselves to be one of the bigger threats of the tournament. Their battle with Toki had quickly won their respective competitors a lot of fans, being considered one of the most exhilarating matches in the tournament so far. Now in the top 8, Kenny and Skadi, once again as SilverGrademon, would find themselves facing off against Cion, the silver feline Digimon standing 20 meters away, and the knight's respective orb placed onto the back of her head, from the bottom of her helmet, opposite her chin. Enough to comply with the 'no obscuring' rule, not enough for Cion to detect it so easily. Perfect. As the winds blew across the entire landmass, the SilverGrademon immediately buried her clawed feet into the ground to prevent flying off so easily. Her cape fluttered in the wind, and she stood strong and tall, ready to face the cat-like creature head on. On the sides, Kenny felt his hair ruffle like crazy thanks to the winds. But he too would stand strong as well. After all, they made it this far, and they came too far to quit. Quietly, he told his partner with a small smile, "Good luck, Skadi. I know you got this."
Skadi turned to Kenny, giving him a confident nod, before turning to Cion. Neither combatant was particularly capable of flight at the very least, but Skadi was a tricky competitor no matter the form. As she glanced at her opponent, she already had quite a good plan in mind, what with all the tools in her arsenal, and the rules in play? Whatever it was, it was for Skadi to know, and for Cion to learn about it the hard way. Not a moment later, Skadi would address her competitor, "You know what, Cion? I'm feeling a little generous today." She gave a small point over to her adversary in front of her, "You can go first." But unbeknown to the opponent, without so much of a warning, ghostly chains started to emerge out of the ground, and coil around Cion's legs. No indication, no warning, nothing. Well, except for when they threatened to tighten around her all of a sudden, potentially keeping her stuck in place for a little while. No matter what happened next, Skadi stood her ground, awaiting her opponent's first move. Already she knew herself what she was gonna do next. And if the spectators thought they saw everything on what Skadi had to offer, they would not have seen anything yet. And as for Cion, well, she was just gonna have to find out the hard way. Skadi starts out by summoning the Ethereal Chains that silently start to climb around Cion's feet, and threaten to tighten around her legs, keeping her bound for a post. Because Skadi did not use a direct attacking move, she gains a token from Buildup, increasing her total attack by 10%. Ethereal Chains (RAM Upgrade): Skadi summons 2 pairs of ghostly chains silently rising from the ground to coil around the opponents feet (4 if the opponent has 4 feet, for flavor purposes only). Once trapped, they are bound for one turn, unable to move from the spot or turn around, but are still free to attack, just as long as the attack doesn't involve using their feet. Flying/airborne opponents will be pulled to the ground by the chains. Does not interfere with the Buildup passive. (2 post cooldown) Passives:Leaps and Bounds (Non-combat Passive): Skadi can leap very, very high. Meaning she can scale houses and buildings with a single leap. She is also capable of parkour in this form, and is generally a very fast, very flexible creature.
Ethereal Being (Non-combat Passive): In this form, Skadi can change her form from solid to ethereal. This can allow her to pass through walls, and other solid objects. However, this does not automatically give her immunity from attacks, and she takes damage like any other Digimon.
Buildup (Passive): For every post that Skadi does not directly attack the opponent with an ability, she gains a token. This token increases her attack by 10%, up to a total count of 4 tokens. These tokens cannot be taken off by the opponent, nor can these boosts be reduced by any attacks or passives from any opponent. (For example, simply using her swords to parry the opponent or merely swinging her sword to attack will not affect Buildup. Using Dual Striker or Sliver Breaker does)
Keen Eye (Passive): Being a skilled swordswoman has it’s benefits. So that means that she gets a 1.3x boost to accuracy. This also allows her to see perfectly fine where she otherwise wouldn’t, including fog, smoke, and other weather conditions. Buffs/Nerfs: Buildup (10% Atk.): 1/4 tokens Cooldowns:Ethereal Chains: 0/2 (Need to see if effect is applied. Will be 1/2 next post if it doesn't work)

Post by Cion on Oct 21, 2019 16:15:09 GMT
To all afar spectators and nearby participants, it was clear that Cion atypically carried herself with a stance of phlegm. With her previous victory against Desmond and his partner Demi, there was a moment of fervor and joy in her heart. This spark, upon hearing the defeat of the one she had wished to clash with, Toki Akiyama, had immediately vanished. Silence too, someone she had desired to meet, had been, surprisingly so, vanquished. Two out of three reasons had ceased in the blink of an eye. The last person that gave her cause to push onward... was Owen. Folding her arms, the already digivolved CyberSagitamon faced the stormy winds of the floating island without great care. Clad in a chromatic bodysuit of digizoid, her futuristic bow rested on her back as she listened to the apparently insane construct of the D-Reaper announcing the shtick of this round. Environmental hazards and playing a fatal version of capture the flag... lovely. Sighing, she bravely placed the orb above the spot on her chest where her core was meant to be anyway. She'd rather face her opponent and potential failure than avoiding them through deceptive shenanigans. In her current form, she was not much of a fantastic combatant to begin with. Darn limitations... Beholding the SilverGrademon who stood a couple of dozen meters away from her, it was evident that he did not share the same sentiment of straightforwardness. The backside of her head - not the smartest choice in the vulpine archer's opinion, but to each their own she figured. Finally, as Skadi finished her interaction with Kenny, the warriors' gazes met the other, granting them an instance of understanding and composure. At least she would not have minded a few pleasantries, but it was obvious that the fighter in front of her did not think alike. Too bad... "Oh?" Cion let out, pleasantly surprised by the offer of her adversary. Regrettably, this quickly turned out to be a sham as imperceptible chains of raw ether arose from the ground beneath her, winding themselves around her legs and squeezing them tightly. There was no pain, astonishment at worst, as they held her in place. Visibly not making any efforts to channel her inner escape artist, it was with a calm, raised eyebrow that she looked at the armored Nature Spirit. "A bit unbecomingly rascally for a knight in shining armor, wouldn't you agree?" She asked rhetorically before shrugging in an unperturbed way. Raising her hands to the sky, the humanoid fox stretched herself and took in a deep breath. With her bones emitting clicking noise, she claimed some seconds so her data flew adequately in her veins while her muscles heated up. Shaking her upper frame to remove the last bits of lassitude, she nodded and clapped once. "Okay then, draw your weapon!" She suggested to her temporary rival. Briefly reaching out for her primary weaponry, her left hand instead dashed to the side of her hip. Removing her pistol in a single, swift motion, the gun's barrel was aimed precisely at the Ultimate. Pulling the trigger, a bolt of lightning soared with the speed of a bullet towards Skadi, seeking to damage and shock her. With this, their fight had finally begun properly. Underneath her armour, Skadi let out a small, satisfied chuckle as the chains managed to successfully trap Cion in place, the cat fox not even bothering to try and escape, while subtly eyeing at the orb at her chest: her target, in plain sight. Already a plan had formulated in her head on how she was gonna take Cion down, as her opponent playfully called her out for her sneaky tactic. Not that Skadi minded. After all, this technically wasn't against the rules now, was it? But that was only step 1. As Cion readied herself for combat, so did Skadi, drawing out her twin swords and holding them out to her side, anticipating what her opponent was going to do first. Even in the vicious howling winds, Skadi could still see a lot clearly, thanks to this form's amazing eyesight. She readied herself, as a faint blue glow started to coat the swords, while Cion drew her pistol Sure enough, the moment Cion pulled the trigger on the pistol, Skadi quickly rolled away to the side, opposite to where the wind was blowing, and managing to avoid the electric shock. Letting the opponent go first was a classic tactic that Skadi took away from Valt's teachings, giving the perpetrator ample time to dodge, and luckily for Valt, and especially for the Valaismon, Skadi was a very quick learner. Of course, Skadi was also not one to hesitate, no matter what the form. So the moment she finished her dodge roll, she swiftly crossed her swords together, now coating in smaller cold howling winds accompanying the glow, and swung them down all in one swift motion, firing a giant blue 'x' shaped energy flying towards Cion, aiming directly at her chest and the core, at breakneck speed, ready to collide with her and send her flying as soon as possible (and hopefully break the core in the process). No matter if her attack was successful or not, the chains around Cion's legs would disappear as soon as the attack made contact with just about anything. All the while, Kenny stood back on the side, praying this gambit had worked out well for her. For someone being considered 'unbecomingly rascally' by her own opponent, she also was quite the clever - and tricky - individual, with a lot of surprises hidden up her sleeve. Why else did she rack up a 2 win streak so far in the tournament again? Skadi dodge rolls out of the way away from Shock Blast. Immediately after that, she retaliates by firing back at Cion with Glacial Crusher. Upon contact with anything, it will result in a large 7m radius explosion, dealing heavy damage to all too close to it. Buildup stays as it is, but the damage caused by this attack is increased by 10%. Glacial Crusher (RAM Upgrade GIGA): Skadi's evolution to Markhormon has now allowed her to tap into her ice abilities of her aforementioned Ultimate/Perfect form, even in her armour forms. This, mixed in with her stalwart personality and hardened determination makes this attack one of her most powerful attacks. Skadi's chosen appendage/weapon glows a bright blue, while the familiar icy aura surrounds it, along with cold winds and bits of frost that grow quickly. Then she unleashes one mighty strike with the appendage/weapon with all her might and determination, either directly at the opponent or as a powerful wave of energy, causing a powerful explosion of up to 3m (+2m per level over Rookie) of snow, harsh wind and sharp ice to strike the opponent and blast them back a good few meters from the impact upon contact. While a strong enough attack on it's own, if this hits the opponent of the same level using a shield/barrier/etc, not only does this attack bypass them all and break the shield, it also does 30% more damage to the opponent as well. For opponents one level above, it instead does 50% of the maximum damage to shield/barrier/etc. welders. (3 post cooldown) Passives:Leaps and Bounds (Non-combat Passive): Skadi can leap very, very high.

Not even a sufficient amount of cordiality to reply in any way to her tongue-in-cheek statement? Gosh, Cion did not know what was more disappointing - the severe limitations of this battle imposed on her, or Skadi's pronounced lack of etiquette. After all, if coltish lads like Demi were able to share words of kindness and sportsmanship, why not someone who carried herself in shining armaments and flashiness? Alas, there was no point in pondering this discrepancy. Evidently, her temporary adversary merely cared for results, not how to achieve them. So be it then... for the fun of it. Watching her evade the blast and channel a mighty attack of her own, the CyberSagitamon sighed and unperturbedly beheld the immense haste unfolding itself in front of her. Feeling the incorporeal chains strapping her boots, she scratched her cheek, contemplating an adequate idea to negate the incoming strike. To her surprise, despite her opponent wielding a set of blades, the unleashed ability was not for CQC. A projectile in the shape of an massive X, and it came right at her? Well, unusual situations required similar solutions, and she had one that was both outlandish yet sage. She tossed her bow upwards and let herself fall backwards. As described by her rival of this clash, the cross-shaped, blue shock wave was giant and aimed at her upper body - her sigil to be precise. So not unlike playing a hazardous version of the limbo dance, the concentrated energy whizzed past her chest and chin, soaring into the ether behind her to either dissipate or detonate eventually. Delighted to also notice that her bindings had ceased to be, the humanoid fennec finished the motion in a lasting handstand. Turning on the spot to face the SilverGrademon with her world upside down, she grinned faintly and winked at her. Catching her weaponry with her legs and feet, she performed an incredibly agile trick by imitating the talented and rare handstand archers from Earth. Drawing the string of her futuristic yet simple arms, she launched a fast and accurate arrow at the steely, silent rascal. "A formidable proem, dear. This ought to fuel our spectators' zest, right?" Chuckling, the graceful lady wagged her finger at Kenny's partner - a nonverbal comment that this was not going to proceed in the desired, precalculated way. With the nimble marksmon as an obstacle, this challenge was not destined to be straightforward. On the contrary... this was quite possibly a huge diversion from previous encounters. Old habits better died quickly or a bad time was about to befall the armored knight. Speaking of occurrences, the moment had come to be appropriately proactive. Clearing her throat, Cion conjured a signature aspect that was lost during her ascension - her ocarina. Playing a short yet sweet performance, the ground beneath her rapidly transmuted. Creeping to cover most of the floating island, the terrain assumed an elysian texture of partial code and azure particles, It seemed harmless at first, but as a veil of the same color enshrouded the bipedal fox, the Skadi's plating started to sizzle as if coated in acid. However, there was neither pain, heat, nor a hint of damage - instead, it was far worse. While within the large zone she had manifested at will, the Nature Spirit's stamina was steadily siphoned. Heavy breathing and sluggish movement could mean the difference between victory and defeat. But this was her game... patience and attrition. Uuuuh... this was bound to be entertaining! How in the ever loving hell did Cion just casually dodge what was one of her most strongest attacks she had? Skadi gave quite the glare back at the cat fox for that, before reading herself once more. So this holier-than-thou fox-that-totally-looks-like-a-cat-so-therefore-she'll-be-called-a-cat-forevermore wanted to show off, huh? Skadi wasn't impressed, rather, she was irritated and annoyed, "Oh, whoop-de-do, you can do backflips despite the fact there are torrential winds blowing that should've, oh, I don't know, blown you away. I could do that in my sleep!" She commented. Instead, as Cion drew her bow, sending an arrow careening towards the silver knight, another SilverGrademon popped out of nowhere, before being struck by an arrow and exploding in a puff of smoke. For obvious reasons, the clone was not set to damage upon death, so the worst that happened was that a 5 meter wall of smoke merely arose, blanketing Skadi in her entirety. Fortunately for Skadi, and very fortunately for anyone not named Cion (not like Kenny or Skadi gave 2 shits about her, anyways), only the SilverGrademon was able to see what was going on beyond her, Cion was SOL. As Cion goaded her opponent once more, 2 other clones appeared out of thin air behind the wall of smoke, the second Cion played her Orcarina, the second all 3 were on the move, as the area started to shift and mutate. The real Skadi started to walk backwards as fast as she could at first to try and escape, while the 2 were on the move to their target, popping out from the smoke, and splitting themselves up, by going to the left and right of their respective side, while swerving around constantly to try and throw Cion off, just in case she tried anything funny. Now, the clones were just that, clones. As the real Skadi opted to conserve her energy, walking a little more slowly backwards as not to tire herself too much to escape the covered parts of the island, the clones didn't have to worry about a thing. They didn't need to eat, sleep, or whatever. And they most certainly were not being affected by the Nanomachine Zone. Because a clone never felt a single thing, no matter what. As Cion played her tune, the clones just ran towards her without a single care in the world. With the fog obscuring the real Skadi, who was now walking backwards to escape, the clones had now reached their target, and lunged to try and latch onto Cion the second she finished her tune, one on the left and one on the right. While both clones would try to hold onto her torso and bound her arms, holding onto her very tightly to try and stop her from using any more attacks, one of the clones, had that been successful were now reaching for Cion's core, ready to wrap it's hands around it and toss out the orb, the same direction the winds were blowing, all in one go. And if that failed, it would be quickly be followed up by another clone doing the exact same thing, reaching out to grab and toss the orb away as well. Despite Cion's apparent assumptions that the Valaismon was nothing more than a 'rascal', she had a lot more up her sleeves than Cion anticipated. Hopefully Skadi would escape soon, what with Cion probably too busy handling the clones. Skadi uses Illusion to summon a clone to sacrifice itself by taking the brunt of Data Arrow Storm. While Cion is distracted playing her Ocarina, Skadi summons 2 more to try and attack Cion, before walking backwards to escape the Nanomachine Zone, nice and slowly to preserve her stamina (and because Skadi isn't an idiot who's trying to rush ahead to win, despite what a certain cat's narration may imply). The two clones, unaffected by Nanomachine Zone by virtue that it doesn't damage them and they can't really feel anything, try and grab onto her and hold her down, and each take turns trying to snatch the orb and tossing it away. If one fails, the other will try and throw it away themselves. Skadi gains another token from Buildup, increasing her attack by an extra 20%. Skadi's attack:Illusion: Skadi summons 3 clones of herself. These clones possess the power of a normal Champion level. However, if hit, these clones will automatically die, exploding and dissipating into white smoke to obscure the opponents vision and do moderate damage up to a 5 meter radius each. These clones are capable of using Dual Striker and Silver Breaker as well, and also has access to the Buildup and Keen Eye passives (albeit only getting 1.2x accuracy boost instead). However, they can only gain one token from Buildup, and cannot use Reflective Shield, Illusion, Ethereal Chains, Fouet Brillant, or Shining Blast. Each clone also have a max. TTL of 3 posts if left undamaged. If they die this way, then they will still go up in smoke (in both cases, whenever hit or not, Skadi can decide whenever they explode or not, depending on certain situations), and clones can attack the post they were summoned. Since this attack does not involve directly hitting the opponent, only producing the clones, this does not interfere with the Buildup passive. A clone attacking the opponent with an ability will only affect their own Buildup passive effect. (3 post cooldown) Passives:Leaps and Bounds (Non-combat Passive): Skadi can leap very, very high.
Post by Cion on Oct 25, 2019 17:46:12 GMT
" No reason to be snide, darling. You can dodge high-velocity energetic projectiles fired from modern ballistic weaponry after all. Everyone is great in something." Cion retorted with a rapt smile and a dearest chuckle. This antagonism expressed by her opponent was utterly unnecessary, not to mention unbecoming, but the humanoid fennec refused to submit to boorishness. If Skadi sought to carry herself with chagrin and hubris then that was her call to action. She on the other hand had chosen to make the best out of this situation and have a little fun - mostly to distract herself from her aforementioned disappointments. Briefly surprised by the emergence of a clone of her adversary, it was thankfully simple to realize that it had been but a decoy that was destroyed upon impact with her arrow. The fact that it released thick fog was vexing for it was easy to deduce that this was no hindrance to the SilverGrademon. In the long run, an ability that hindered oneself was too detrimental to be worth remembering. Regardless, the true magnitude of this scheme had yet to reveal itself, though it already started to be quite annoying. Wasn't a knight supposed to fight with valor and honor? So much for stereotypes... Playing her ocarina to transform the arena as she saw fit, the CyberSagitamon of course noticed the rapid and careless approach of the two combatants. The question was if they either of them too was a lure, of if neither was the case. Regrettably, and likely luckily for her scurrilous rivals for this clash, the answer to this was not clear. Consequently, proactivity was needed to unravel the truth? But how exactly? There was not a lot of time left to contemplate an idea, so perhaps it was the optimal solution to simply wait things out and adapt accordingly. While upside down, there truly were not many steps she could take as the replicas grappled her chest and arms. Heck, even maintaining her stance was difficult, although this endeavor also forced her attackers into an awkward position as they attempted to grab at her sigil while practically kneeling to keep their hold on her. Apparently, whatever instructions they had received were not from the brightest of tacticians. Nonetheless, they had to be removed as fast as possible, and if gracious finesse did not yield the desired fruits then coarse violence maybe did! Kicking the mechanisms of her hookshot-belt, a set of surprisingly long chains were launched with a loud pop. Swiftly soaring through the stormy air, their ends eventually reached and pierced the bark of a curved yet rather sturdy tree. "Buckle up buckaroos!" And with that glorious meme uttered, to figurative hell they rode. Rending soil and sky alike, the trio was dragged at a breakneck pace towards the end of the apparatus' gadget. Naturally, as this occurred, the vulpine sentinel decided that she had enough from this involuntary group hug. Unable to aim her bow properly in this highly bizarre affair, her first data arrow manifested between her canines. As she ground one of the duplicates into the grassy dirt, she jerked her head to puncture an eye from beneath the unprotected side of the helmet. A second projectile got conjured into the hopefully unrestrained body part. Shanking the ironclad warrior several times with it, the prey was potentially turning out to be a fake as well. Worse than that, a significant amount of the area was covered in fume Presumable it'd fate in short notice, but she knew better than to permit her foes a quarter. Clumsily crashing into forecited piece of solid flora, Cion landed on her bottom. With a stumped expression she shook herself, channeled a modest amount of healing and held tight to its cracked mantle. Steadily getting back up on her feet, she cautiously surveyed the altered battlefield, but no uncivil Nature Spirit was to be seen. Beating the dust and grime out of her bodysuit's fibers, she raised her eyebrow as before, her futuristic weapons tightly in her grip. "Sooo... care to explain the insidious animosity? Shouldn't a tournament like this be about sportsmanship and fun? Ultimately, we are performers of equal value and have a large crowd to entertain, right?" Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Oct 26, 2019 5:57:49 GMT
Now contrary to what a certain grey anthro kitty cat and her impossibly high standards believed, Skadi was not an idiot. A goofball, yes, but far from an idiot. With Cion distracted by the clones, and the smokescreen obscuring her, Skadi had practically all the time in the world to escape from the zone ASAP, which meant it wouldn't gobble up all her valuable stamina as if she tried to run out immediately, and more importantly, her time to avoid a potential assault. Underneath the fog, and observing the clone's valuable efforts, Skadi still walked backwards, occasionally turning over to detect whenever she was getting close to escaping, and more importantly, to ensure she wouldn't fall off. Of course, if all went to plan, Skadi would escape the Nanomachine Zone, wouldn't lose any more stamina from it alone, and be able to face Cion proper once more. Speaking of the clones, as Cion started to fly off with them, the duplicates holding onto dear life, Skadi merely rolled her eyes at the cat's quip, as the clones were knocked off one-by-one onto the floor, one of them successfully shot in the eye and exploding into a wave of smoke and data. And if Cion couldn't avoid it in time, she'd definitely feel the pain from that as a consequence. But as for the second surviving clone? Well, it managed to quickly dodge roll away in the nick of time, right into the source of the smokescreen the first clone left behind, in a bid to fake it's own death. It stood up, completely obscured by the smoke, as it, and the real Skadi, watched Cion fall back onto the grass, before instantaneously healing herself in a matter of moments. Kind of odd considering the cat hadn't taken much of a hit from Skadi, but the SilverGrademon knew for certain she probably wouldn't be using it again for a good long while. Maybe our little clever sheep could use it to her advantage... For someone proclaiming that both parties were of 'equal value', Cion's earlier act by casually dodging one of Skadi's attack like a mere dodgeball and subsequent showboating did not win her over like with Hasenya and her impressive conjuration skills before her. But instead, Skadi held her tongue instead, opting to say something a little more personal, as a small mote of light started to glow on Skadi's palm through the fading smokescreen covering her. "Well, I didn't come this far just to lose so easily." Skadi replied, "Last I checked, this is a tournament, not a talent show, and I got here on my sheer skill and battle prowess alone, not just by sitting around and waiting for the opponent to drop dead while I strut around acting like I'm better than everyone else like you do. Maybe you should stop underestimating me for more than 5 seconds, otherwise, it's gonna bite you very hard in the ass at the very end. Just a little word of warning." From afar, Kenny nodded with agreement. Clearly, he also thought that cat needed a little lesson in humility. With the cold, hard truth out of the way, and not a moment less to spare, in what looked like Skadi lobbing the mote at Cion, a long whip of light emerged from it and came flying towards Cion's torso at high speeds, aiming to wrap her up, then carrying her up high into the sky, before finally smashing her into the ground as hard as possible. And if that wasn't enough, hidden underneath it's own fog, a clone had silently smashed it's own rapiers together to make a brand new sword of it's own. As soon as Skadi finished off her attack, the surviving clone would no sooner emerge from the smokescreen, charging at Cion and aiming to swing it at her general direction (and hopefully would end up hitting the core in the process). Skadi was far more clever than she was letting on, and if Cion thought that Skadi would be nothing but a walk in the park, she would be sorely mistaken.
While the real Skadi is still walking backwards to escape the Nanomachine Zone ASAP, Cion has actually managed to knock out one of Skadi's clones by hitting it in the eye (but the resulting explosion may end up damaging Cion if she does not avoid it in time), but the other clone fakes their own demise by rolling away into the smoke produced by the first, faking their own death. The real Skadi then sends out a Fouet Brillant to the torso try and lift Cion into the air before smashing Cion into the ground. Hard (If this attack connects, Cion will lose 10% stamina). Then the last surviving clone emerges from the smokescreen to use Sliver Breaker to slash at Cion as soon as Skadi finishes her attack. Skadi's attack:Fouet Brillant (RAM Upgrade): Skadi summons a glowing, long range (up to 50m) light energy whip to constrict, strike at, and attack the opponent, allowing Skadi to grab and toss them with ease, trip them up, bind them or whatever. Grabbing onto the whip for opponents is impossible, as touching it will burn the opponents hands, inflicting a little bit more damage to them. Enemies hit by this whip lose 5% of their current stanima (+5% per token from the Buildup passive). (3 post cooldown) Clone's attack: Sliver Breaker: Skadi combines her two swords into one new powerful sword, the 'Gradalpha Break', then swings it to strike down the opponent. This attack can bypass and break Ultimate level (and lower) shields, reflectors and defensive passives/buffs to deal full damage to the opponent. Megas suffer 50% of the damage while any of the above is applied. However, it cannot break their shields or reflectors. Does light-type damage and physical damage, but does not make direct contact. (3 post cooldown) Passives:Leaps and Bounds (Non-combat Passive): Skadi can leap very, very high.
Buffs/Nerfs: Buildup (20% Atk.): 2/4 tokens Keen Eye (1.3x Acc, clear vision): Active passive Illusion (1/3 clones active): 2/3 Cooldowns:Ethereal Chains: 2/2 Glacial Crusher: 2/3 Fouet Brillant: 0/3

Urgh... what a rough ride this had been. Usually, Cion preferred to carry herself with finesse and grace, but the bizarre undertaking the clones had forced her into had left her in a short state of coarseness. Regardless, as a proper knight in shining armor did, she pushed herself out of the dirt and grass. Standing with a few heavy breaths, she believed herself victorious... relatively speaking of course. Impugning Skadi as mentioned before, she calmly waited for a response or an action to take place. As to be expected, she did not have to wait for long. "Fair enough!" The CyberSagitamon commented cheerfully, acknowledging the burning fervor inside her adversary's soul to emerge victoriously. Nonetheless, a more honorable and straightforward clash was likely to be appreciated by everyone, including the spectators. "It's not like I would not gladly present you what I was capable of, but then I'd be disqualified, darling. Please don't think of me as abrasive, but the rules set you as my limiting factor here. Gotta make ends meet somehow with this... severely limited Ultimate form." She answered sincerely and unwoundedly. Realizing that input, criticism and irony, as they almost always did, fell on deaf ears, the humanoid fennec readied her bow and narrowed her eyes to focus. All of these wafts of smolders were starting to become irritating, but so was probably the altered terrain to her opponent. "Tournament, talent show or not... impressions matter greatly. Hence I apologize for unintentionally making you believe that I underestimate you. The truth is... I'm confident that my chances are marginal." She finished honestly, a delighted chuckle escaping her lips as a soft grin formed itself on her muzzle. "Doesn't mean I won't try though!" Ultimately, it was obvious that there was nothing at stake for her, wherefore she barely cared for the outcome. Not that Kenny's partner enabled her an attempt to begin with. As the chain emerged out of the dastardly set-up, what was the vulpine sentinel supposed to do, but to tolerate the strike? Being tossed up and down again, at least the application of her hookshot-belt allowed her to somewhat counteract the force of the impact. With chains lodged into a spot of faraway soil, the diagonal rebound, further soothed by the protection the zone provided her, mitigated a noticable chunck of the damage suffered. However the sensation was still highly unpleasant. Down on her tummy, Cion groaned and blinked, hearing the footsteps of an entity approaching. Certain in her conclusion that this was unlikely to originate from her rival for she had already utilized an ability mere moments ago, there was but a single plan to pursue. Slowly getting up, it was until she perceived the strides as right next to her that she swiftly turned around, drew her gun and unleashed a point-blank shot at what was in reality another decoy.
"Poor spectators must be bored to no end...” She uttered under her breath. Similar to the situation with Demi, this was not an epic duel, but a groaner. Was the whole competition like this? Huh... Skadi merely raised an eyebrow at Cion's answer, pointing out the kitty's Ultimate form wasn't exactly anything to write home about, and apologised for underestimating the stalwart sheepknight. But ultimately, Skadi would just shrug it off, because, if anything, at least it was a small step in the right direction; better than nothing at least. Well, if anything, Skadi's eyes glinted in joy as she successfully wrapped Cion around the torso with the whip, and proceeded to go with the smashy-smashy, merrily flinging Cion up and down onto the ground without a single care in the world, although her minor bout of euphoria was slightly mitigated by the catgirl using her hookshot to help cushion the fall a little bit, but hey, with that, Skadi managed to repay the favour quite a bit for trapping her in the zone (and her tactics by staying calm and preserving as much energy as she could did help her quite a bit too, helping to preserve plenty of stamina for herself). Now with the last clone Cion had to deal with? Simple. At this point, it knew it's time was nearly up, and it was charging as fast as it could possibly could, ready to go out in a blaze of glory, and by the time it swung that sword down over Cion to go for a clean strike, it got hit by the pistol... and not a moment too soon, it too exploded, like it's contemporaries did, and like the second clone before it, it sent out a wave of white smoke and damaging data, and if Cion didn't get out of the way in time, she was in for a world of hurt, the last clone itself going out in one final, glorious death. Just the way it was meant to do. With the final smokescreen up and running, only Skadi could deduce, and therefore keep track of, where her opponent was as it wafted throughout the island. Not wanting to waste anymore time, she merely pointed at where Cion was as the smokescreen wafted, and once again, another set of silent chains emerged from the ground and threatened to bind around her legs to keep her stuck onto the floor once more. Needless to say, this was going to be quite a rough ride for the catgirl.
The final clone of Skadi, finishing it's attack, is hit by Shock Blast and becomes the last to die. Unfortunately for Cion, it's ready and set to damage anyone nearby within 5 meters around itself upon death as well as send out a blinding smokescreen to obscure her vision as well. No matter if Cion is damaged or not, Skadi then uses Etheral Chains once more to hopefully keep Cion trapped in place for the next post. And because the real Skadi didn't use a damaging attack against Cion, she gains yet another token from Buildup, increasing her attack up to 30%.
