Top eight, huh? Its time to make this a little more on the nose!Crystal FieldAs Mae and Valt would find themselves transported, they’d find themselves in a proper arena to go all-out… and quite an interesting one at that. Hidden deep within Luminas’ territory, they would start about a hundred yards apart – and they would also find themselves standing on the only wholly stable piece of land around, standing on a flat, circular cut disc of crystal. The ground in front of them was anything but. Crystals, like massive diamonds, sapphires, and emeralds, made up much of the ground in front of them, creating various steep and challenging inclines to work with. Finding cover wasn’t too hard, but it was also remarkably easy for someone to corner themselves. But that wasn’t the only interesting feature: any energy-based attack that struck one of these crystals would bounce once off the wall – and stronger physical attacks would cause the gems to shatter outright. The name of the game is collateral damage: who can best take advantage of this wild arena?

After a delayed match and a no show, finally it's time to rumble huh. Well, that's fine. Two byes, quarterfinal... at least he's going to have a good fight. The opponent is someone who's an acquaintance... Kappy's daughter, but apparently she hates her father a damn lot. Rough, definitely. The battlefield is crystal based, and apparently they can reflect energy based attacks... Talk about rough... Well, anyway, Valt already put his Digicore container where it's showing most in both of his form, slightly above the base of his tail. His wings might be wide, but that should be a place that can be hit, and it's not hidden. Anyway... Valt is ready. "Your name's Mae, was it? Hasenya's lover, huh... Heard what happened to your last match, my condolence, although I shouldn't really say that, considering I'm in the same spot. Well, anyway, Mae... Let's have a fun dance shall we?" The Vmon's form gradually shifted, and on its place is a massive dragon man. As much as he wanted to give his opponent a go for this one, Mae is not to be trifled. Perhaps he should just put a precaution for the meantime... Valt roared, readying his buff... He'll see his opponent's move, and decide from that point.
VALT [Imperialdramon FM (Ultimate Stage)] Status: +60% STR + SPD (0/3) Passives: Ultima Break (RAM UPGRADE GIGA): Toggleable, imbue a move with "Shield Breaker" property which includes breaking barrier, reflect and cancelling moves for that one move. three turns cooldown between activation
Battle Hype: Hasten Valt's recovery time of currently on cooldown active (not passives) moves by 1 turn everytime he scored 3 hits or its multiplication against an opponent.
Chasing Strike (RAM Upgrade): Trigger-type. If the enemy attempt (but canceled with Ultima Break) or manage to cancel or defend with skill against Valt's attack, allow him to repeat the attack, but with 1/2 power next turn. Two turns cooldown between each use. (did not count in the total skill amount he used). Chasing Strike only carries the damage portion without buff or debuff attached if the original skill have it. (Normally dodging doesn't count).
Last Stand (RAM Upgrade): The closer Valt is to unconscious/the closer he is to death, Valt's strength is increased: Moderately damaged: 25% STR Heavily damaged: 35% STR Critically Damaged: 40% STR Last Stand: 200% STR devolve next turn Action: Dragon Warcry EX: 60% increase to strength and speed for three turns of its activation, but decrease defense by 25% during three turns of its cooldown. (Takes effect next turn) Cooldown: 0/0

Imagine joining a tournament but cruising by to the quarterfinals with barely a single attack thrown. That, in and of itself, was an oxymoron ripped right out of a textbook. Seriously, who joins a tournament just to dip out of their fight? Well, whoever did that, they were entirely inconsequential. And they probably would've lost, either way, too. "What happened in my last match is a classic case of talking mad amounts of shit but ultimately being too much of a coward to back it up. At least I got to fire an attack or two--Isn't yours infamous now for skipping out on important things?" The Rasielmon stated as she placed the strange crystal she had procured before the fight...behind her. At the small of her back. It'd take legitimate cheap shots to hit her there. "On second thought, don't answer that." Was she going to humor that bit about being Hasenya's lover? No, not really, though the keen-eyed could note that the Rasielmon grew flustered briefly. And while Valt had opted to begin this fight by powering up, Mae opted to seize an opportunity that provided. She raised an arm, the circle on her forearm beginning to rev up before she fired out a chaotic stream of power at Valt. It tore through the air, straight-on...Before a portal opened up in front of it to eat up the attack. A second one opened up above the Imperialdramon and to the right to spit out the Knowledge Stream. An opener from an unconventional angle.
Relevant Passives: Fatebreaker [RAM Upgrade Giga]: This entity has the same mysterious foresight that a Rasielmon would possess. As such, Mae has the ability to divine a potentially infinite number of futures, depending on the level she's at. There are, however, limits to her foresight. For one, the lower the level, the more muddied, limited, and opaque the visions will be. The higher, the clearer. Furthermore, in combat, this is only really applicable as a way to warn herself and others of various attacks. Whether she can dodge them or not even with this is entirely on her. Should she successfully dodge an attack she had a vision of, the chances she can dodge the next one are lower. Basically she can’t spam this unless she wants the hurt.
Elemental Connection: Every three turns, Mae can apply one of five elements to her attack, changing it’s properties and/or appearance to suit the opponent she’s facing. They go as follows: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light.
Instinctual Supplement: Fatebreaker ties into this passive--Her foresight is amplified greatly in this form, enabling Mae to have above-average reaction times to a LOT of things. Basically, she’s greater at dodging and/or countering attacks than a good deal of her other forms.
Mae opens up with the old, tried and tested Spatial Relocation and Knowledge Stream combo. Knowledge Stream: Mae combines all five of the elements that she can use for her Elemental Connection passive to fire a beam that can best be described as pure, concentrated unmaking. As all five of the elements from that passive are present, this attack...has no element. It simply is. Three turn cooldown. Spatial Relocation: An ability that's best described as Mae opening a portal or two. One serves as an entry point and another as an exit. The purpose these portals serve is manyfold. Moving long distances in a brief period of time? Check. Extending the range (and placement) of your attacks by firing them through the portals? Check. This has a three turn cooldown, and while Mae is able to chain the following moves into this one (Namely Knowledge Stream, Holy Bullet, Divine Punishment and Sefer Raziel), they are given an additional turn of cooldown. This move's cooldown also goes up by a turn. The portals have a maximum range of 700 feet. Cooldowns: Spatial Relocation: 0/4 Knowledge Stream: 0/4

"I see, pity. Well as much as I'd like to attribute my opponent's absence is due to my competence, that remains unsolved for the meantime. I don't really know mine, to be honest, but so be it." Was that a slight fluster? Valt smirked, but he doesn't let that linger... After all, look at what his opponent did! The moment the attack came out, Valt already tense, and then came the portal. Shit. He quickly dashed away, trying to fly, with the attack hitting the pedestal where he was standing instead, bouncing it to the sky. The sear from the energy was obvious... It'll be dangerous if it hits him. The blast from the energy caused him to get disoriented midflight, but he quickly resumed his flight... it gave Mae bigger window to act, but at the very least he's not taking that damage, which is a fine compromise for him. He was thankful to himself who has buffed his own speed (and therefore his reaction), otherwise he'll be in massive shit. Was it two techniques or passives? Either way, he doesn't care. Time to do a little bit of a counter. Valt flew closer, his flight still affected for a bit. At first, his hand shone, almost like a grappling move... But is it? Nay. He had a theory. Rasielmons are known as seer of the future. Does this girl have some sort of precognition too? If she really could read his move, then his theory is proved. The last moment before Mae acted, Valt's outstretched hand closed. What came out instead is a Positron Laser, aimed at the crystals below! Valt's idea is to have it ricochet toward where the Rasielmon would be!
VALT [Imperialdramon FM (Ultimate Stage)] Status: +60% STR + SPD (1/3) Passives: Ultima Break (RAM UPGRADE GIGA): Toggleable, imbue a move with "Shield Breaker" property which includes breaking barrier, reflect and cancelling moves for that one move. three turns cooldown between activation
Action: Valt pretended to try using a melee attack against Mae, but shoot Positron Laser at her instead. The aim is off, but purposely so. He meant to ricochet it from the crystals downward toward Mae. Positron Laser: If shield is protecting target, this attack becomes 100% more damaging. Unblockable by shield, but still can be nulled by reflect. This attack can be charged for several turn to trigger different form of attacking. Two turn cooldown. No Charge: Simple laser attack, moderate damage 1 Turns Charge: Piercing laser attack, enemies on straight line, moderate damage 2 Turns Charge: Exploding laser attack, 50% splash damage at anything in 5 meter radius from impact point, major damage 3 Turns Charge: Massive AoE, 25 meter radius. Massive damage. Cooldown: Positron Laser: 0/2

That was a first. Normally people were thrown off more by the sudden redirection of the stream. "Hm." Mae squinted as Valt neared her, right after her blast was redirected skywards by it striking the crystal. Was he going for a melee attack? It mattered little whatever the dragon was planning--he had opted to empower himself for the first strike. So, realistically? Anything he threw at her would hurt. In addition, he had amped up his speed, too. Yet, something about the attack confused her some...And then it hit her as she instinctually moved away from the grapple. The reason he hadn't aimed that laser point blank was because he never INTENDED to hit her with it head-on. It was this realization, plus the timely warning that her Supplement gave her, that enabled Mae to move just in time for the Positron Laser to graze her. Straight across the side. Not as heavy damage as it could have been, but she was making sure to avoid putting her back at risk. In response, and with clenched teeth (already), Mae opened her palm, a ring of light forming around Valt's waist before it clamped shut. Should that ring make contact with skin or metal (or whatever it was that Imperialdramon was comprised of, the Ophanim cared not which,) it would, for lack of any better term, explode. And unlike the last person an attack like this was used on, so many years ago, there was no broken stat system to abuse to mitigate damage. Though, Mae didn't take into account how Valt was built like a tank, did she? Or the orb...
Using a combination of context clues and some Instinctual Supplement, Mae manages to move quick enough so that Positron Laser grazes her clean across the side. And some of her front. It's charred black, basically. And it hurts. Her response is to use Lumina Constrict to give Valt a hard time. Lumina Constrict: Mae opens her palm as a ring of light forms around a target’s waist, before she clenches it closed and the ring constricts. The ring then explodes upon contact with the target. Two turn cooldown. Cooldowns: Spatial Relocation: 1/4 Knowledge Stream: 1/4 Lumina Constrict: 0/2

The Positron Laser manage to ricochet, as he desired it to, toward Mae... But it seems the Rasielmon has in fact dodged it... albeit not that fast enough apparently, that it instead grazed her. His little gamble paid off, although he actually expected that it won't hit at all, all in all, not a bad opening. So she DID have some form of precognition! Darn, he knew it! Now that his theory has proven, Valt only need to push through. How? Well that's another matter altogether... as somehow there are ring materializing on his waist! Not wasting any time, the Imperialdramon pursued the Rasielmon. Moment before the ring constricted itself, Valt released another roar, this one accompanied by crackle of lightning as Valt released an outward explosion from his body, disintegrating the ring. The explosion expanded, strongly, quickly, outward, a lethal dome that would paralyze the Rasielmon if it hits, provided if she had no countermeasures. Not done there, Valt launched another beam from his Positron Cannon. This one definitely weaker than one before, and more than likely an unnamed attack. "There was something annoying from that technique... Either way, no thank you, my waist is too slim in this form, so much that I don't fucking need any corset!" A little joke in fight is good, right?
VALT [Imperialdramon FM (Ultimate Stage)] Status: +60% STR + SPD (2/3) Battle Hype Stack at 1 Passives: Ultima Break (RAM UPGRADE GIGA): Toggleable, imbue a move with "Shield Breaker" property which includes breaking barrier, reflect and cancelling moves for that one move. three turns cooldown between activation

Action: Knowing that the ring might constrict, Valt chased Mae and used Imperial Thunder, disintegrating the ring, and sending melee-range AoE at Mae. He also followed this with normal, unnamed beam attack. Imperial Thunder: Melee-range AoE (25 meters at max), blast nearby opponent with paralyzing lightning dome, causing them them unable to move for one turn. 4 turns cooldown. The time it took for Valt to respond to that attack was all that Mae needed, really. A glimpse into the future revealed the incoming wave (or dome? It was hard to tell through the proverbial looking glass) of thunder that...actually would've proved troublesome for Mae to deal with. Thunder usually equated to being shocked to the point of being stunned, right? Can't have that. The Ophanim took off, flying backwards swiftly enough to avoid being hit by the Thunder. The fact that it was actually QUICK meant that she had to devote a good amount of effort into her avoidance, and the fact that it went up to twenty five meters put a considerable amount of distance between her and Valt. No matter. She still had a few tricks up her sleeve. Though, none that were elaborate in the slightest. Mae struck a hand forward as a pulse of light shot out of her palm and towards Valt at a rather high speed! Gotta keep that pressure on, admittedly.

Thanks to the forewarning of Fatebreaker, Mae's able to fly early enough to avoid Imperial Thunder. She counters with Holy Bullet, firing it at Valt to keep some pressure on him! Avoided, looks like that's the real prerecognition. However, Valt does not have that sort of leeway for him to suddenly shift his act. Knowing that his attack missed, the Imperialdramon does not even hesitate. He stepped on the air, just as if it was ground. The next moment, he kicked the air. With his buff still active, Valt is closing the distance between him and the Rasielmon rapidly. He does not even care that she tries to hinder him. He'll just keep going, even if it means taking Mae's technique. If only Mae could see what's behind his mask, surely the view would would be rather grisly. Valt is grinning. He relished in this moment. After a long while it's time to let loose after all! The moment the Imperialdramon about to be on Mae's melee range, he suddenly did a spin, aiming to face her back. Whether she turns around or not, Valt wouldn't care. He would grapple her, and if successful, would immediately backflips and descends toward the crystals below. Yes, it's a German Suplex, although it's probably more to a seismic toss than an actual german suplex. Also to prevent countering, Valt activated his Ultima Break. Any attempt on clashing, defending, or reflecting will be Mae's undoing.

Mistake after mistake. Of course the Imperialdramon would pursue her. This was actually starting to irritate Mae a bit, especially since she couldn't execute any of her more flashy moves at this level. Though, one could blame the instigator of this tournament for being too SCURRED to allow the highest form attainable. No matter, the Rasielmon was grappled and then suplexed--though the addition of whatever that Break thing was rather unnecessary since she didn't -possess a barrier or reflector in this form in the slightest.- Though, the moment that she hit the ground, she managed to move her arm in a manner that indicated she was about to launch a particular attack of hers. Divine Punishment? No. Instead, a number of chains would erupt from around the ring as they attempted to wrap themselves around Valt's limbs to keep him restrained for a turn. And to cap this all off, the Rasielmon tried to shove him back and away from her. What was she planning?

Mae's hit by the suplex. Her defense is down and she's pretty sure the blunt force trauma's gonna affect her more in the long run than right now. Boohoo. She responds by shoving Valt away and using Chain of the Lawbringer to attempt restraining him from moving for a turn. The crash caused a lot of crystals broken. Shards flying everywhere, and hell, talk about amazing! Valt was about to pursue for the second time, but... looks like there's an attempt to reduce his movement, this time ones that he can't quickly react on due to how many they are. Chains. They wrapped on his body like snakes, and Mae attempted to push him away from her. Valt clicked his tongue. It doesn't looks like he'll get out of this thing soon... well, not like he's going to take it laying down. "T'was good move..." but not good enough, Valt finished his sentence mentally. Before the bind could reach his arm, Valt started to supercharge his claw, then lunged at Mae before he could get fully bound by the chains. His technique has been triggered, and with it, he could use it free of cost! Not done there, he shoots another attack, this time from the Positron Cannon on his arm! Valt not sure if they'll hit, but whatever. For the meantime let's see what the Ophan got in store for him.

It was a good thing that this bout wasn't truly canon, because it would be genuinely unheard of for Mae to get salty, angry, however one would like to put it this early into a fight. Before he had been bound in chains the damned dragon still struck out at her. While that did make contact (and a rather nasty looking crack in Mae's armor,) it also sent the Ophan back a touch. Giving her range here wasn't necessarily the best idea, especially when one was firing a laser at her. No, she simply flew to the side to avoid that and allow it to ping off of the crystal. The Ophan then threw her arm out to the side, a gesture that caused several ribbons of light to surge forth from beside her and towards Valt. Sure, they looked relatively harmless, but with how fast they moved, they seemed anything but. Especially since they seemed to rip and cut through anything they so much as touched--and Valt was the intended target here. The ribbons all surged towards him with the intent to slice through his armor. And what was worse is that if moment any of them did? A sort of innervation would befall him. One that left him unable to use some techniques for a while longer.

So, that strike actually dealt more damage than was implied in the post proper. Seriously, double damage with defense down is not necessarily a nice time. Actually snapping some, Mae's response is to avoid the Positron Laser and attack using Divine Punishment. Given how Valt took the previous attack...He might be in for a rough time. Divine Punishment: With another sweep of her arm, Mae sends forth several trails of light that attempt to cut through her opponent. If any of them hit, they’re faced not only with damage, but an additional two turns placed onto any cooldowns they may be facing. Three turn cooldown. Chain of the Lawbringer ends after this round. Debuff: 1/3 Cooldowns: Spatial Relocation: 4/4 Knowledge Stream: 4/4 Fatebreaker: 2/3 Divine Punishment: 0/3 Chain of the Lawbringer: 0/2

"FU--!!" Yeah, that's good that he doesn't charge the thing. If he does, then boy, that gonna be nasty. Valt, still chained, managed to move his body slightly that the attack does not hit his wings or his arm, but on his side instead. Is that good? Is that bad? No idea, but it hurts like a bitch. The dragon hissed in pain. Darn, talk about eating similar attack to what he launched at Mae. Thing is while he takes his positron laser, he took it because he know he can afford to get hit by it. But Mae's ribbon? ...Hell no. Not when he's chained like this. Valt immediately opened the dragon mouth on his chest. Most who are aware of it, perhaps would think that it's Megadeath. However, thing is he's merely using shockwave to push Mae's attack away. The chains covering his body broken as Valt's form rapidly shifted into those of Imperialdramon Dragon Mode. With the crisis (somewhat) averted, let's see how this will go next.
Valt (Imperialdramon Fighter Mode [Ultimate] -> Imperialdramon Dragon Mode [Ultimate]) Status: DEF -25% [3/3] Paralyzed [1/1] (Battle Hype Stack reached 3 prior, all actives (bar Forma Change) cooldown is decreased by one) Combat Passive: Ultima Break (RAM UPGRADE GIGA): Toggleable, imbue a move with "Shield Breaker" property which includes breaking barrier, reflect and cancelling moves for that one move. three turns cooldown between activation
Imperial Authority: All debuff and buff originating from him, even when the target leaving the area of effect, will always be carried by its target until its duration is gone. If this passive is disabled, then all his buff and debuff become single target.
(Normally dodging doesn't count)
Last Stand (RAM Upgrade): The closer Valt is to unconscious/the closer he is to death, Valt's strength is increased: Moderately damaged: 25% STR Heavily damaged: 35% STR Critically Damaged: 40% STR Last Stand: 200% STR devolve next turn
Action: Takes damage from Positron Laser (YOW). It hurts when Valt got 25% defense decrease! Parries Mae's technique with Forma Change Forma Change: Immediately switches form to Imperialdramon Dragon Mode after blasting all opponent away with strong shockwave that pushes everyone back.Three turns cooldown. Shared move with Imperialdramon Dragon Mode. Cooldowns: Retaliation (FM): READY Megaton Suplex: X/4 Ultima Break: 2/3 (passive) Imperial Thunder (FM): READY Positron Laser (FM): READY Forma Change (Linked): 0/3

There was something in Mae that didn't think that what she was attempting was going to work, but whether it did or not, the fact that Valt didn't really throw any damage at her in retaliation aside from a shockwave that sent her a ways back, and a slide over to the dragon mode meant that she was perfectly free to do this next. Putting an arm in front of her face and the other arm extending outwards, the Rasielmon suddenly turned about as translucent as glass before her form literally shattered to reveal a silver-furred Raguelmon, who lurched forward in a rather threatening manner. It seems as though it were ready to pounce on poor Valt, but something prevented it from doing so this turn. Really, common courtesy/site rules did. But, Mae was certain this was a bit better equipped to deal damage to the dragon.
Love Machine: Raguelmon, though angelic in nature, is a poisonous beast that blights ANYTHING she touches. All of her attacks have a corruptive property to them that can be amplified to double their damage every three turns.
Fate’s Executor: Raguelmon’s senses are heightened in this form, allowing for quicker reaction times and overall improved agility in combat.
Mae is blown back by Forma Change. Since that's the only move taken against her, she opts to slide evolve into Raguelmon via...dabbing. Nobody said I had to take this too seriously, right? Debuff: 2/3 Cooldowns: Fatebreaker: 3/3 Divine Punishment: 1/3 Chain of the Lawbringer: 1/2

Looks like his opponent is sliding (or is she trying to assert dominance over him?). Should he slide as well? Might as well honestly, considering that he probably would be better against Mae in form more suited for smaller fistfight. Valt's Imperialdramon form rapidly deconstruct itself, showing wireframe underneath. The frames then explodes into data, revealing a Digicore, which pulses with cyan light. His data rearranged itself around the Digicore, forming another dragon man type Digimon, except this one is a Royal Knight type. Ulforce Vdramon X (Not Ultrafore Vmon X whatever that is). While this form is ill suited to deal a lot of damage by itself, this form has edge in a sense that it's meant to be tankier than Valt's Imperialdramon form. This means he have more leeway of taking damage. So... with this prepared, he returned his stance back to his usual battle stance. "Well, then... Show what your other form can do, Fatebreaker!"
Valt (Imperialdramon DM (Ultimate) -> Ulforce Vdramon X-Antibody (Ultimate) Status: Adaptability III: 1/5 (ATK +5%, SPD +5%) Combat Passive: Ultima Break (RAM UPGRADE GIGA): Toggleable, imbue a move with "Shield Breaker" property which includes breaking barrier, reflect and cancelling moves for that one move. three turns cooldown between activation
Adaptability III (RAM UPGRADE): This Digimon grows more and more attuned to battle each turn passed. 5% increase to strength and speed per turn, capped at 25%. If this Digimon does not attack for two consecutive turns, snared or silenced, the stack drops by 1.
ULFORCE (RAM UPGRADE): When this Digimon's health drops below 25% after an attack by opposing digimon, this Digimon's healing factor activated automatically and restore its health (moderately) and stamina (healing all active cooldown of this form by 2 turns), allowing it to fight for longer. Once per battle, and only one second wind can be triggered per battle.
Heroic Constitution EX: Toggleable. Upon hit by a direct targeting debuff (stats down, DoT, silence, snares, etc that directly applied upon hit rather than field effect) , this Digimon can choose to ignore it. 3 turns cooldown per activation.
Action: Slides evolve to Ulforce Vdramon Cooldowns: Megaton Suplex: X/4 Forma Change (Linked): 1/3

It was a very confusing way to slide, one could admit this right off the bat, but it was a slide nonetheless, and contrary to actual canon fights, Raguelmon was in complete control of her actions and/or faculties (if that was the correct usage of the word). So, what kind of confused her was the fact that Valt decided to just... Slide again? What? "Bruh." The cat uttered lowly. This was meant to indicate confusion, for the uninitiated. Still, was he taunting her? Because if so, this was a gesture that would be returned in kind. The Raguelmon leapt forward, her arm dissipating into a literal beam whip made of light that was not unlike the trails one would expect the blade of a Gaioumon to leave behind, before she swung that DISGUSTINGLY long implement at Valt! Better think fast, because the fight just started again!

Mae attacks with Kikurin, starting the fight once more! Kikurin [RAM Upgrade]: Raguelmon converts her claws into a whiplike blade of energy reaching up to 90 feet in length. This whip is capable of slicing through just about everything including barriers. Two turn cooldown. Debuff: 3/3 - BYE BYE DEFENSE DOWN Cooldowns: Divine Punishment: 2/3 Chain of the Lawbringer: 2/2 Kikurin: 0/2
