When Herald readily stated what she knew about Control Spires, that made all of Gabumon, Agent Maria, Noir and Blanc satisfied that they were dealing with someone who knew what they were doing.
"Hm. That aligns with what we know about them." Maria stated. "A control spire was erected here on Scramble Crossing last year, and the digimon present seemed to be using it for the purpose of disrupting the gate between our two worlds. The digimon were thwarted and the spire was destroyed, but, I've heard reports from others of similar structures appearing in the digital world where the same scenario has happened."
Gabumon meanwhile felt quite disheartened at the revelation that he had possibly caused harm to others by being forced to act as a guardian of one of these evil edifices. He yelped as he felt something grip his shoulder, but relaxed when he saw that it was Sistermon Blanc, giving a reassuring smile, that it wasn't his fault.
As Herald finished her explanation, which satisfied Maria and her partners as to her knowledge of his problems, Gabumon hesitated for a few moments before he eventually asked his question.
"...how can I make this better?" he asked, his voice heavy with emotion, tears rolling from his eyes. "I hurt others, without my knowledge or willingness, I want to, but... I don't know how... what can I do to make this right?"
Agent Maria had the answer right away. "Trust Herald here. She knows what you've gone through, she knows the reasons why and how. Go with her to the digital world, and let her help you re-integrate with your friends."
While so far she didn't know if Herald was speaking the whole truth, Maria's instincts were telling her that Herald meant the best intentions here. And they would be better for Gabumon to trust in than her own superiors.
"Okay... I think I'll do that." Gabumon answered back, looking up at Herald. "Can... you please help me with this?" he asked her formally.
