Oh, it seemed that he was every bit a pessimist as she was!
Even as the Renamon shook his head in frustration, the Floramon couldn't help but share a small smile and a smirk. "Whose the scarier one to deal with: the heroes being hired by the mission guild, or the city funding that guild in the first place? So easy for those places to turn against you..." There was a tangible bit of frustration in her voice, one she drowned out by taking a sip of water, letting the conversation move on.
... His sister. Was this, what, the fourth time she came up? "You think so? Give me an idea of what she looks like, maybe I have seen her." She was a bit interested in that - but she was more interested in the Renamon in front of her. Somewhere more 'relaxed'? "Mm, careful there." She teased him back, a rare playful tone in her voice. "Some poor lass might misinterpret what this 'relaxing' means."
For now, though, she'd put that teasing aside. She nodded at being offered a place to stay - heck, she wouldn't say no to a free meal at this point - and as the next question came, Bell had to consider her answer. Just how much did she want to expose of herself to this relative stranger? What would be useful... and what would be just enough 'bait' to get him hooked?
"Well, I was once a vetted researcher in Whitewater." Bell gave a sigh: "At my high point, I could request pretty much any grant I wanted - but it was always about the projects they wanted in the end. Once my work got a little more... 'specialized', they decided they didn't want me anymore. So I tried working on my projects on my own, and that little 'secret lab' ended up getting smoked out. I've been on the run and using fake names, tamers, whatever, ever since."
She gave a 'tsk', but pressed on. "As for my work? I wasn't just a researcher, but a proper botanist. Medicines, crop saving... I can do the basics, sure, but plants in this world are a lot more interesting than that. A little... 'flexibility' in thinking goes a long way with them."

”Honestly they both come from a fundamentally broken system that needs fixed. Realistically, It’d go City, Guild, Heroes. But many just see the latter since they’re the work horses.
Skald blinked a little bit as he noted the frustration in her voice, he’d tend to his own water letting the conversation move and flow as best he could. He’d flick his ears and nod slowly. He’d draw out a small picture of his sister, a small goat like looking rookie with oversized horns. Sliding it over to the floramon.
”This would be her as she goes around in rookie. Bell. I am being careful~ Would that poor lass perhaps be you by chance?
He played this dangerous game, teasing at the one in front of him. He knew that there would be a little bit of levity in their relationship. Professional was nice but being able to kick back and hang out occasionally would be nice too. If he was careful, which he always was being at this point would lead to bell being more comfortable with him.
At the very least of course.
He knew that herald would make a joke about him and the plant sitting across from him right now. But regardless the renamon seemed content to eat while bell explained her expertise. A vetted researcher in whitewater? His eyes lit up and he’d get a small crawling smile. She was used to working with more than she had. Used to working with specialized equipment too no doubt. Once she got more detailed and specialized they didn’t want her, they didn’t want that secret lab and she had to run. Fake names, tamers and whatever she could use.
She was a proper botanist, medicines, crop savings and… well she wanted flexibility. Skald paused in his meal, spinning his fork around his fingers in a small display of dexterity that he possessed. Sure he might be rather frail but the mon was also a renamon for pete’s sake!
”While I cannot promise you the same level of equipment or resources right now; what I can promise you is the flexibility you so crave. As our resources and manpower increases this will change. Strictly speaking, the more you do the more you will get as of right now. Be open and up front about what you need or what you want and I’ll do my best to get what I can for you. Whether it be manpower, equipment, research samples or even assistance from yours truly.

"Hm... nope, I would have remembered seeing someone like that."
Heck, Bell didn't even know the species name of the Digimon she saw in the picture. She gave it another interested glance before sliding it back over to him. "Though I expected someone more in the 'forest' family than the 'demon' family. If you don't mind me asking, is the relationship more... 'like family' rather than 'literal family'?"
Whether she got an answer to that or not, she didn't really mind it. Her once again showed his interest in her work, giving such wide promises, enough to bring a soft smile to the Floramon's lips. Her own lab, again? "Such an offer... if you're able to pull even half the stuff you're thinking you can do for me, I'd be satisfied. But keep in mind, hun, I'm a target, as much or more than you. The more I get into it, the worse it'll be if we get found out..."
She smirked.
"... Unless that's how you like to play, Foxy."
Ah, one more tease! She stretched her arms, taking another drink before she changed the topic. "All a plant like me really needs is fruit, water, and sunlight. Never really understood these dinner-table like talks til I worked at a bar underground. People could just waste hours there talking... watching their drinks go flat..."

”She’s a rare breed. A union between two mephistomons. So it’s unsurprising that you haven’t seen her before as those particular goat mons don’t sire children very often. She rightly so might be the only one of her kind.”
Skald gave a small shrug and stared down at the picture before sliding it back into his bartender outfits pocket. He’d tilt his head slightly as she explained what she was expecting. The renamon looked down at the table and sighed softly. He would have to explain the relationship here...
”In truth, our relationship was mostly professional when we first met. In a short span of time we grew closer than I expected, I grew foolish because of this relationship and chose poorly. Terminus’ underbelly responded and nearly killed me. Were it not for her sacrifice I would not be living. She is in both like family and IS literally my blood kin. We share data and a core now. She likes talking about it more than I do as she wasn’t the one that was nearly killed. I’m sorry but if you want more details you’ll have to ask her as before that point my memory is… difficult to remember. Just know she’s a powerful magick user and will likely help you out.
The renamon shook his head, he didn’t really want to get into it even if she asked him at a better time. No real reason for him to want to think about that day or the week leading up to it. They had managed to survive thanks to Barbus and Gertrude’s interventions that now left them crippled. Henchmen that without a doubt made their place in the empire to come from Skald’s devious plans.
Skald folded his hands as Bell continued. He could pull a lot of the things she needed; how she was a target. But to be a target the world needed to know she was there. He’d bite his lip and tap the table with one of his tails before letting out a small chuckle from her teasing.
”I can without a doubt provide what I suggest. Targets are only targets when they’re seen or known of. We’ll take steps, I hope you don’t mind some ‘make up’ so to speak. And dear, I don’t mind if you get into it. I’m playing a long game, a very long game. A dangerous one at that my dear ‘lily’.
A tease returned and he’d give her a small wink before tending to his own drink. She needed fruit, water and sunlight. He could provide all of them without issue. The renamon hummed a bit and tapped his fingers on the table.
”Well water doesn’t exactly go flat here, so If I spent hours talking to you about something it’d definitely be worth the loss of time.
The renamon chuckled lightly, being a little more brazen about his flirting. He had stopped being so cold, there was a decent fire in his eyes and he’d shift forward a bit to tap at the table once more.
”But I’ll keep in mind that you don’t do dinners. Maybe next time we can figure out something else to talk business over… and if we don’t have business to talk about, pleasure is always welcome.

"Interesting... you were so important to her that she decided to bind her fate to you." The Floramon considered the sentiment, of this rare 'Mephistomon' forging a twin bond with the fox across from her. For her own benefit, she decided not to temper it with too much comment - not yet, anyway.
Who knew if he thought of it as a favorable bond or not?
She mercifully let the topic pass, chuckling as he mentioned that he'd be able to get the equipment. "I'll be interested and impressed to see you pull it off, then." And past that, their teasing turned even more forward - enough to put a blush on even the Floramon's face. 'Something else to do while talking about business' and 'pleasure', spoken so close to each-other? Even if not intentional, the Floramon couldn't help but hide a chuckle.
"For now," the rookie stretched her arms, moving to stand up, "I about understand what my role here is. What I really need is a place or a room to crash, however that would work - though I expect I'll be filling my role here within the next couple of days?"

"To be fair, up until that point I wasn't sure if I could trust her or not. But now I know for a fact that she's trustworthy. Which on it's own is kind of a sweet irony seeing how she's basically a demon."
The renamon-x snorted a bit and shook his head. Herald was from the dark area, born of two dark area digimon. Those digimon being very powerful demons themselves. They had to be in order to let herald escape how she did. The renamon leaned so that one hand was supporting his head.
"It'll take about a week to get everything I'd say. Or at least the basics that you'll need. If you write me a list of things you absolutely need I can get you them in short order.
The renamon-x had contacts, herald had contacts. Gertrude and Even Barbus had them, though the latter most's contacts prefered to work with skald over barbus now as he had gotten increasingly simple as time passed. Skald knew sooner or later that the cyberdramon would end up going feral and he wanted to be there for his henchman that had sacrificed so much. He might be cold, but he didn’t let those that sacrificed things for him go to waste.
”Then let me show you to where you’ll be staying. It’s a short walk from here.”
The renamon-x stood up blinking a few times. Within the next couple days? He’d rub at his chin and stare at the floramon thoughtfully. He didn’t want to rush her or push her in the wrong direction too quickly. If he did she might burn out or just take his resources and run. She wouldn’t lose anything as the bartender couldn’t extend his reach outside of terminus without repercussions.
That and herald was already handling the different groups in the other cities and that would be stepping on her toes! Hell it was thanks to those other groups that the one that had attacked him not too long ago wasn’t around anymore.
”I’d say whenever I get the equipment for you. So about a week give or take. Unless you want to take stock of the warehouse you’ll be working in.”
He knew how important that it could be and how easy it would be to turn down a place of work if you didn’t know what it looked like. Though… He’d grin and step to the door, propping it open a bit with part of his hand.
”If you really want to, you could work the bar until then. Get people to know my Lily yes?”[/color]
Yes. His lily. He was being forward enough about it that she worked for him, but there was a teasing undertone as well as masking the fact she was ‘new’. He was quick on the draw, knowing that she needed to be comfortable here, people needed to know she wasn’t just some random hire. Even if she was this would put her into a firm position.
”I’ll also make sure to get your residential permits under your name Lily. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure things are filled out properly. That and probably get you an I.D. I know the andromon guards round here are a little gun happy.”
The renamon huffed and if allowed would show the Floramon out, waving to Gertrude in such a way that just had the veemon give him a small thumbs up. She’d adjust the little bowtie she had on her neck and hop over the counter. A moment later? Well there was a rather feminine Ex-Veemon there now, still one arm unfortunately but at least she looked better like this.
It was maybe a five or so minute walk from the inn to a rather run down looking apartment. Skald put his hands on his hips and glanced down at Bell; giving her a soft sigh after a few moments.
”Unfortunately the outside doesn’t look too good thanks to the previous tenants. The inside looks much better trust me.”
The renamon-x produced a key out of his pocket, handing it to the floramon. It was a small silver key with the number ‘3’ on it. He’d of course lead her to the door of the room in question, up the stairs, through a little turn in them and after a brisk walk down the hall they’d be standing in front of a well maintained and meticulously crafted door. The hallways were fairly nice and the stairs had just been replaced so this place was shaping up slowly…
The renamon would gesture for the floramon to open the door with her key and if she did?
Well she’d find a fully furnished apartment with all the bells and whistles you could expect from a middle ground apartment. There were some things that were fairly high class in comparison. He had been spending a lot of money to make sure that those that worked for him would be comfortable from the get go. Gertrude and barbus themselves had homes to call their own too.
Even if the apartment was more like a studio apartment than a proper one it still had everything bell would need. Even room for a planter, plenty of sunlight and well… There was a queen sized bed that took up a good chunk of the main room she’d be living in.
”I’ll get you your planter for here so you can grow fruit yourself. For now I’ll get you a fruit basket or something. Would there be anything else you’d need immediately?”

Trustworthy... or the demon has you right where she wants you.
Perhaps wisely, the Floramon's words went unsaid in that regard. It seemed that their arrangement had been mostly settled: "I'll get a list over to you by tomorrow morning. Better I have about a day to think about it so I don't end up missing anything." Things seemed to finally be starting to fall in the Floramon's favor. She stretched out her arms and back, following along with Skald to where she'd be staying. Interesting - I figured it would be the bar itself, but he already has the reach for multiple properties? Well, Skald isn't lacking for luck, that much is certain.
And that wouldn't be the only time that Bell would be impressed here. "There's no point in my inspecting the warehouse without furnishings - though I will need a few fans to test the airflow once everything is ordered in. And... oh?" She chuckled, a teasing tone entering her voice. "That forward already, my fox? Trust me, I don't mind that in you." Ah, yes - more fake IDs, perhaps even proper registration to keep her on the level. She followed Skald along, and a good five minutes later, they came to a rather rough looking building.
To Bell, it was expected. To Skald, it was a disappointment. "Don't mind the exterior - its better that it matches the surrounding buildings anyway." As she stepped in, key in hand, she'd open the door and... huh.
Not luxury, no, but this was definitely more than Bell expected. TV? Proper carpet? A working cooking station? Bell gave a blink, wondering if this was even 'real' to her... and even a queen size bed?!
"... Who did you kill to get this sort of arrangement..." Bell shook her head, honestly stunned. "No, this is more than fine. Its... just going to take me a minute to get used to this."

That particular thought had been on Skald’s mind time and time again. But with it being unsaid there was nothing prompting him to speak about it. Would someone eventually see that Herald had something in mind for him? Or was it honestly something that was done out of kindness? Even love? Suffice to say those questions wouldn’t be answered either because the demon herself didn’t really even know what made her do it.
The renamon nodded slowly as Bell told him to give her some time to get a list. It’d push back some of the work somewhat; but he didn’t mind. If she needed it he would get it for her. He’d rub at his snout letting out a small chuckle afterwards.
”All right; take your time. If you need more than one day to think about it, just let me know.”
Skald’s luck as it were was a mix of herald’s intuition, his own particular brand of things and the ability to get what he needed where at the right time… Then again with him owning a warehouse, a rental property and a bar in terminus? He was set up rather well for someone so young; he must of had some kind of cut throat practice in order to get all these!
”Fans will be easy to get that’s for certain. But you have a point there.”
The fox grinned slightly at her reaction to his forwardness. Sometimes it didn’t hurt being a little like herald in this regard. He was usually the reserved one when it came to this but bell was certainly a special case now wasn’t she? And the fact she didn’t mind it… Well that was endearing in its own right!
”Well of course. We will be working rather closely with one another from here on out, won't we?”
At her words about the apartments he’d just nod; he supposed it would be less of a target that way but he’d have to also consider the fact that there were people that would desire his workers ill. So a bit of protection to make sure that they didn’t stick out was needed. Then came her question about who he had to kill. The mon chuckled lightly and well, there was a gentle pat on her shoulder.
”No one actually, this place was owned by a rather lackluster group of mon’s looking to get out of terminus and elsewhere. But they couldn’t just rightfully leave a property like this. So we managed to get it for pretty dirt cheap… Well dirt cheap as terminus is considered.”
He could tell she was stunned and he’d give her the time she needed. He’d look down at the floramon, a small but gentle smile on his face. There was a surprising amount of warmth in his voice and in his eyes; the world was a nasty and cruel place but with his sister and those around him helping him out well… It was bearable in a sense.
”Well my lily, take all the time you need. The bar closes in a few hours but Gertrude has it covered if you need me for anything else?”

"I see... you have a bit of a silver tongue if you were able to get it in your favor."
Sheesh - it was still a bit unbelievable that things worked out so well for her today, but this was just the start. The Floramon would give Skald an earnest nod, and step forward, taking a quick look around the apartment. The two would be working hand-in-hand from then on... so long as they were able to get through the first few weeks?
The Digital World might not be ready to handle what the two of them could pull off together.
"Its been so long since I've been able to even get off my feet, Skald." The Floramon gave a sigh, finally feeling a bit of tension leave her body. Finally starting to believe that this could work in her favor. "I put up a good front - but honestly, I need to sleep. Level myself out, get myself properly thinking. Trust me, I'll be much better for it in the morning."
She gave a chuckle - her first honest laugh in a long time - and nodded to the fox. "Take care, alright?"

”Silver tongue and the right amount of bits I suppose. Herald is also really good with presentation so there’s that. Really they were more worried about their stuff than the actual building. Wasn’t hard to find a home for it.
The renamon gave a small shrug, shifting and watching the floramon take a look at her new apartment. He remembered stepping into this very place. No door, rotten door frame… trash everywhere. It was an absolute mess. But he and herald had been able to clean it up quite well and even got a few contractors to do the inside of the place without mucking up the exterior.
The next two weeks would be interesting, it’d be a rough start but skald firmly believed once they were on the right path that the subjugation of terminus would be able to properly start flowing even if it was a tiny tiny step. He just hoped that whatever aspirations that Bell had herself would match up with his own. But for now he likely had her in his pocket up until she didn’t want anything to do with this. He had a few flake outs already but they were people that had other options and those flake outs weren’t even in deep.
”Well now you have a place to do so and it’ll stay as long as you do.
There was a softness in that voice that wasn’t there earlier but he’d nod at hearing her saying that she needed to sleep. Level herself out, get herself thinking. How she’d be much better in the morning. Another smile and he’d tap the door quietly.
”Then a full night's rest you’ll have. I’ll be fine, you take care my lily. See you in the morning
With that the fox would close the door, there was a momentary scuffling as he brought out his own key to the place and firmly locked it for her. He had spares of every single place just in case he needed to get in for one reason or another. But he respected privacy and letting her know that he had a key this way would also eliminate some questions.
The following morning was a blur of motion for skald. He had a lot on his plate, a lot that he had to deal with. Herald had made contact with someone out in the human world and was now currently dealing with that while he was making sure that the bar itself was good for this afternoon. It was maybe around eight before he finally stepped out of his humble inn of sorts. He’d look around and close the door behind him an ear flicking as he heard gertrude talking to barbus about something.
The pair of them were practically inseparable; but he understood why. They had come through the flames together and she had gotten stronger for it while he weaker. She felt the need to protect him while he steadily recovered; or got worse.
Humming to himself he’d step lightly, going to the market district for some fruit and seeds. When asked about the seeds he just shrugged, saying that it was for his warehouse project. Some of the plant mons were excited to see what he had in store and he’d give them a soft wave as he left, explaining that nothing was set up right now so all they’d be able to see was dirt.
That and he wasn’t about to oust his only gardener, scientist, researcher and fast friend. Another ten minutes or so from the market district and the fox would be in front of bell’s door again. He wasn’t sure how long she’d sleep for or if she’d be hungry right after waking up but…
He’d give the door a small knock. He wasn’t going to call out names and the peephole in the door would let bell see that it was the renamon. Though unlike the previous day he wasn’t wearing his bartender outfit. That was for work! Instead he seemed to be wearing nothing but his gloves! An easy tell of him not being at work or on the clock is the lack of that snazzy outfit! He found himself questioning if the bed was right and he’d mumble softly...
”I wonder how she slept...”

It would have been great if sleep just came easy to the Floramon... but considering everything that had happened, it was anything but. The past few months had been hard on the rookie, and it wasn't uncommon for her to go days without sleep. Even when she did get the chance, it was hardly a sound one.
What if she was found? What if this was the day she was going to be caught?
Those thoughts constantly scratched at the back of her head, even when she had a whole queen size bed and apartment to herself. She tried to sleep around 8:00 PM, but honestly didn't manage to get a wink of it for hours... ... But it was better than she had been getting.
"Mm..."
Her tail gave an annoyed flick as she heard someone knocking at the door, the tired Floramon slowly peeling herself out of bed. She dragged herself to the door, taking care to check the peephole first, before she'd click the lock open to allow the Renamon in. She stifled a yawn, looking over at that basket and... seeds?
"Morning... I think..." The plant wasn't exactly sure. She hadn't even taken the time to look over at the clock yet: she was still stretching out her back, feeling her joints click into place. "Well, I'm still a free 'mon, so I guess you weren't just selling me a pipe dream yesterday. Unless... well, this is the dream."
Morning Bell was definitely a different kind of 'mon!

Skald was thankful that Bell was quick about getting to the door, standing outside like this would of made for some odd conversation with her neighbors that also worked for him or his sister. His ears would flick forward as he could hear movement behind the door. He hoped that she decided to stay and this wasn’t just some ploy to make him lower his guard for some reason or another. But once he saw that it was Bell he’d give her a small smile, stepping past her; though one of his hands paused while he did. As though he was going to pat her head but thought better of it.
”It’s about Six now. Maybe a little after. Sleep okay?”
The question was a legitimate one and the renamon took a seat on the couch, rubbing his neck as she spoke. How she was still a free mon and how he wasn’t selling her a pipe dream. He’d chuckle softly at the mention of this being a dream.
”Well I mean I am here in your room at the wee hours of the morning so I suppose it’s a different kind of dream if it is one.”
The renamon chuckled lightly and set the basket down for the floramon to go through; he didn’t know what sort of tastes she had for this sort of thing so… He pretty much made a wild stab at figuring out what she liked! The renamon didn’t have any plans for the day as his bar opened up later in the evening for that night crew and that left him a good chunk of the day to spend as he saw fit… If he wanted to even work in the first place. He knew that if he didn’t show that Gertrude would have everything sorted out with barbus in tow.
”And I don’t think I was selling you a pipe dream, here I was thinking of sharing a vision with someone. Well not just anyone my lily.”
There was a mix of affection and something else in those two words; the bartender managing to stick out his tongue a little bit. He wasn’t sure how much of a tease the floramon was; but she could tell that while away from his workplace the renamon was definitely more open… if not downright cheerful!

Six in the morning, huh?
"Ugh, well enough. Better than I've slept in a year... but I'm going to have to get used to this if this is going to be my new schedule." The morning grogginess was definitely still there, doubled by the sleep debt that she'd accrued over the past few months - and she'd settle in on the couch right next to the Renamon. And to his next comment, she gave a chuckle. "Satisfying your own desires, then? Gotta say, I'm much more of a night owl myself." At least as far as the last few months were concerned, anyway. The Floramon gave another yawn, blinking as that basket was set down in front of her.
A few fruits from the other world - apples and oranges - and quite a few colorful varieties from the Digtial World as well. Curious, the Floramon reached down, and plucked up a fruit - one that looked like a comically colorful peach - giving a nod as Skald doted on her with those last words.
"Keep at it, my fox, and it might end up being more than a vision." Bell grinned - and even raised a hand, scratching gently at the edge of the Renamon's chin with one of her petals - before she would take a bite of that fruit. The sugar quickly 'hit', the plant type starting to feel much more refreshed as she ate.
Oh god, that's better...
Much, much better. Still not perfect at this early hour, though! "Mm, guess I should ask - did that 'cask' thing ever end up working out at the bar last night?"

”Well your schedule can be whatever you want it to. As long as you’re able to do your work I don’t think there’s any problem with you being a night owl.
The renamon shrugged a little bit, he had already eaten but he was still eyeing the choice of fruits. Many of them he hadn’t tried before and he was considering picking up a few for himself or herald. The latter of which was beyond pleased to hear that they had gotten someone like bell in their little group. The renamon flicked his ears softly and let out a soft rumbling chuckle.
”Maybe. That or perhaps I’m just smitten? I don’t mind most of the day, nor do I mind the night. Just I like when places are open for me to do business with them. Which is hard when you run a bar. In fact yesterday was one of the few days of the week that I work, the rest is my other ‘business’ so to speak.”
The fox shifted a bit and flicked an ear, he felt a small blush spread across his face as the floramon scratched gently at his chin. Though even the effort was minimum the fox’s head moved rather easily, it was very light and the floramon would probably find the same across his body. A momentary lapse of his silver tongue followed as he coughed and stuttered out his first few words, one hand gently rubbing at the top of her head. His face was still rather red as he wasn’t expecting that of all things.
”Can’t say I wouldn’t mind it being more than a vision with you My lily.”
He’d tilt his head slightly at the asking of the cask and the renamon scowled lightly. It had been a kerfluffle, not only did they not have the right casks the smaller one that he had thought of had been stolen right under his nose!
”We didn’t have the cask I wanted for the customer and the other few didn’t cut it. So it’ll take another week for them to get what they want. It’s not barbus’ fault either as he struggles with some basic things. But I refuse to let someone go that has helped save my life time and time again. It’s my fault he’s like that in the first place.”
The fox did have plans to get a surgeon to help barbus recover, but as it stood the wound was slowly healing and eventually the cyberdramon would just be like this permanently. Which would be a problem unless you wanted him to fight…
There was a soft pause and the renamon noted that he hadn’t stopped giving the floramon little attention with his free hand. The other one sitting pleasantly at his side, he’d bite his lip and slowly withdraw his hand. It was clear he didn’t want to stop but he didn’t want to overwhelm his lily.
”Right… I should tell you. Last night we were able to get a good chunk of equipment installed into the warehouse. Simple stuff like generators, lights and security cameras on our side. It’s a closed system so you won’t have to worry about a hacker or anything like that unless someone gets directly into the box. Which will be easy to notice seeing how it’s inside.
The renamon leaned back on the couch, closing his eyes as he could remember the faint burning smell that the generator gave off when it started. Herald had really come through on such a short notice, how did she even get half of the things she did?
”Other than that? Just get me the list of the things you need by the end of the day and we’ll have everything by the end of the week, no doubt. That way My lily can start her work sometime in the next. For now you get to relax and such. I’ll be sure to visit you plenty to make sure everything’s all right.”

Smitten?
The Floramon chuckled. "Don't be so fast, Skald. I'm a con-artist who has long used my charm to try and worm my way out of situations - and it ended up making me pretty flirty by default. So before you get too many ideas, make sure you really get to know me, love."
One more tease at the end just couldn't be helped by the Floramon. She chuckled, not taking too much notice of Skald's difference in weight at the moment. And yup, he still had the thought to flirt right back at her!
God, I am a terrible influence on this poor sap.
She just gave a smile, nodding as she listened to the story about the cask. Barbus had messed it up, so they'd be around next week? "Hm... must have been hard to keep that customer on the hook. Wonder what kind of deal you had to cut him..." The plant sighed, letting that thought pass. A more interesting one came up.
... He'd gotten that far with the warehouse?
"Not just obtained, but installed? Jeez, no wonder you get yourself in trouble, you move way too fast." She was impressed, but concerned - and as he asked about that list, the Floramon nodded, stepped over to the end table, and handed him a notebook.
A complete list of what he needed - down to even the types of soil and the starting seeds.
"I couldn't sleep last night, not for a few hours, so I just got this out to try and bore myself to sleep. Got more invested in it than I intended, so..." She gave a shrug, looking to the basket, and parsed through the seeds.
"... Watermelons... where can I grow watermelons in here..."
