OOC: This thread can double as a Rosewood Village Job B: Class in Session Job.
Colin James had received a message on his Tamernet that had intrigued him for quite some time. It was a message from Owen the Gaomon, a close and trusted friend to him and his twin partners, Luke and Bellamy. Namely a request to assist him in one of his combat classes.
"Oh, geez, not another one of those..." Bellamy complained, the Impmon shuddering in response. He had been asked to participate in one of those before, and in return had had his furry butt kicked by Owen's son Bezil.
"Well, it says that he's also invited Carlos and his partners." Colin added. This made both Bellamy and Luke take notice.
"Carlos? He's got two partners now?" Luke asked, tilting his head.
"Yeah... it says his partners Dio and Gio." Colin read from the message. At this, Bellamy and Luke read it for themselves. It seemed that Owen wanted to demonstrate to his combat training class the value of teamwork in battle - and what better than to ask two tamers with twin partners to demonstrate?
"Well... I trust Owen, so, I doubt this is a trap..." Luke began, rubbing his chin. "And it'd be great to see Carlos and Dio again, right, Bells?"
"Yeah, it would." Bellamy agreed. "And I wanna meet this 'Gio' guy myself. Alright. I'm up for it. Tell Owen we'll be there."
"Okay then." Colin replied, then sent a reply to Owen's message. The Gaomon thanked them fairly quickly, then they would arrange a time and travel there.
Owen would send a similar message to Carlos and his partners Dio and Gio. While the Gaomon hadn't yet fully acquainted himself with them, he hoped that their friendship with Colin and his partners would mean they would agree to this meeting. And he would be prepared to pay them for the effort.
While it would be faster to simply portal to Rosewood, Colin took this opportunity to instead go the old way - Trailmon ride to Terminus, then summon his airship mercenary Daedalus the Heliodramon.
"Hello again!" Daedalus said to the group. "It's wonderful to see you again! Where shall we go today?"
"We're going to Rosewood, thanks, Daedalus." Colin replied. With that, the Heliodramon lifted off, then flew across the skies of the digital world, catching up with Colin and his partners over all that had happened lately. Eventually, he landed in the clearing in Rosewood that was designated for airships. His passengers disembarked, and he would be left to continue on his own way for the time being.
Well then. It was just now a matter for waiting for either Owen or Carlos and his crew. Colin and his partners were happy to take in the fresh but cool air of the autumnal forest around Rosewood.

While it was admitedly somewhat odd for Carlos to receive a message coming from someone he was barely even acquainted with, (one asking him and his partners to help out with a combat class no less) his familiarity with the names mentioned in said message were enough to catch his attention. That and while he didn't know Owen personally he was aware of him thanks in no small part to Colin and the twins, so neither he nor his partners saw any reason to distrust the invitation.
Besides, any excuse to meet up with friends was a good one, so after Carlos replied to the Gaomon's message letting him know they were going, the trio were quick to make their way to the designated spot without a second of hesitation.
A quick and uneventful travel through a digital portal later and the silver haired man accompanied by his partners had arrived to the outskirts of the forest town of Rosewood. Despite having known about the town for a good while now they had never actually seen it with their own eyes before.
The sight of the small but bustling town was certainly nothing to scoff at, clearly still in the process of growing and improving with every passing day, conversely making the forest that surrounded and protected it seem livelier as well. But that was not what the trio's eyes were drawn to, but rather other three familiar figures not too far from them.
"Oi!" Dio exclaimed out loud while waving to get the attention of the other three, as he got away from his own group and began quickly approaching them, Gio following closely behind. The ever so dignified (yet fairly casual in Bellamy's presence) "Dark Lord" extended his hand out for a handshake with the other imp. "Hmph, I hoped you guys would have learned by know that I expect a rolled up red carpet to receive every single one of my visits." He huffed with a smug smirk, before chuckling and adding with a significantly less smug, more friendly smile, "In all seriousness, it's been too long, Bells."
Meanwhile Gio, perhaps somewhat inspired by the fairly cordial tone his brother had with these strangers felt confident enough to approach even more and introduce himself. All the while showing everyone else that unlike his "older" brother he knew very little about restraint. The blackguilmon would then also extend his own clawed hand much like Dio had, but instead of hoping for a handshake, he'd instead give both the impmon and elecmon a couple of gentle pats over the head, smiling obliviously all the while.
"Hi! You guys must be his friends because Dio is never this nice! Not even with Carlos!" He said with a nod as if agreeing with his own statement. Dio however had to do his damnest not to facepalm there and then, insteady letting out a long sigh before speaking again.
"So yeah...t-this is Gio, I think you've heard of him already."
"I'm his twin!" The lizard added with a toothy grin, his tail wagging from side to side like that of an excited dog as he scooped up his brother, holding him close in a hug reminiscent of a kid carrying around a pet large teddy bear, much to Dio's continuous and very visible cagrin.
"You can tell that by their uncanny resemblance, I'm sure." Carlos said with a smile once he had caught up to them, giving both brothers a gentle pat, before looking back to the other three. "So how you guys been?"

The trio heard Dio first. Bellamy grinned as his Impmon friend approached, doing the usual song-and-dance about proper treatment as "The Dark Lord", but by now Bellamy knew him better that this was just for show. It was near impossible for one Impmon to treat another as a superior, but it was at least possible for them to respect each other.
"Yeah, agreed." Bellamy replied, giving a firm but friendly handshake back. "Nice to see ya again, Dio. And this must be Gio, so I've heard along the grapevine." he continued, looking at the BlackGuilmon.
Bellamy scowled just a little as Gio patted his head rather than shake his paw. Luke didn't mind as much, just giving a grin.
So, all along, Dio had a twin brother? Bellamy got over his napoleon complex for a moment to regain his composure. "Huh, that's awesome. Glad you guys found each other then." he said. He didn't know how he'd be all this time without Luke. Although at the sight of Dio being coddled by Gio, Bellamy shot a glance at his brother. "Never hold me like that."
"Like I'd want to." Luke retorted.
"...can I?" Colin asked, unsurely.
"Only when nobody else is watchin'." Bellamy answered through the corner of his mouth.
Carlos then asked what they'd been up to. "Well... been a busy time I must say. My elder sister Sophie was pretty badly shaken by the events in Scramble Crossing on New Year's, so she took a break to get better acquainted with how to be a proper tamer. She put me and Tadayoshi in charge of AEGIS meanwhile. It wasn't too hard of an assignment, given that DATS took over most of our responsibilities, so, yeah. She's back now, so we've got some free time to catch up."
After he said that, a new voice greeted them. A friendly male voice with an Australian accent. It was Owen the Gaomon, dressed in his usual khaki tunic, red bandana and boxing gloves.
"G'day there!" he called out to them. "Colin, Luke, Bells, nice to see you again. And you must be Carlos, Dio and Gio. Good to meet you. My name's Owen, I'm a survivalist and combat teacher here in Rosewood for young digimon."
As a digimon, Owen was rather tall for a rookie level, standing 1.4m high. Not quite enough to match a human, but enough to stand about a head over the 1.1m Bellamy and 1.0m Luke.
"So, glad you all could make it." Owen said, quickly getting to the point. "This afternoon, I'll be running a combat training class for the young digimon here, and we'll be focusing on teamwork. Sorry for the short notice, but I thought experienced twins would be ideal to demonstrate, hence why I asked you fellas. You still alright with that?"
"Sure, sounds okay." Bellamy said, shrugging. He trusted Dio after all, and thought they could do with a good spar to keep each other's skills honed. Luke didn't mind either. Although facing the big Gio, who seemed nice enough, but was still unknown made him a little nervous.
"Okay, awesome. Why don't you guys catch up over lunch while I gather the class and get ready?" Owen offered.

"Yep! He was looking for me for the longest time too, right bro?" Gio said with a not, playfully placing his head on top of his brother's own head. It was clear he too was nothing short of ecstatic for having found a brother, even if just some months ago he didn't even know he had one! And as much as Dio wanted to keep it hidden from the other three (as if he still thought his Dark Lord charade was believable), it was clear he thought so too. With a tiny smile he'd pat the head of the goofy looking lizard, letting out a content sigh.
"That I did dummy. And we're not letting you go again."
As for Colin's reply of what they've been up to? Carlos shook his head before responding, "Can't say I blame your sister, that whole thing was a shit show honestly, I just got lucky and happened to be with the most pacifistic group of digimon ever, else things could have gone south fast."
Indeed it didn't seem to be the best time to be a tamer outside the digital world. "For what is worth, you guys seem like good fits to take care of AEGIS." He added with a reassuring smile and tone. Well, at least that's what he believed from what he had seen of Colin so far.
Soon enough someone else would join their conversation, none other than the Gaomon named Owen that had invited them here in the first place. It honestly came as a bit of a surprise for the Guilmon to meet another rookie around his same size, he was all too used to being taller than most. Though his friendly smile certainly didn't show any of that.
"Hi!" Gio greeted back at Owen, and was already extending his claw to give the newcomer a pet as well before he was stopped by his brother giving him a slap in the wrist and a glare.
"This isn't a petting zoo." He said under his breath, to which the black guilmon gave a pout, but otherwise didn't push his luck further. "Pleased to make your acquaintance, Owen."
The blue canine was quick to lay out what he expected from the four of them. A team oriented spar so the village kids could learn a thing or two. Seemed simple enough.
"We don't have a problem with it either." Dio agreed with Bellamy's words, giving a nod. Truth be told, there was a part of him that was rather looking forward to test his strenght against the other impmon, even if it was on a friendly spar, and for once it wasn't just to feed his ego, but rather out of some kind of respect he had for him. After all, he was the first digimon that had actually tried to befriend him despite his...less than friendly begginings, he had even risked his life for him before. What better way to prove to himself and the rest how much he had grown since that day than by fighting? It only made sense, at least in his head.
As for Gio? Well, it was no secret to even a casual onlooker just how full of energy the Black Guilmon was at all times, so it was only logical he was looking forward to spend it with a good brawl, regardless of who he had to take on, so he simply gave a thumbs up to the rest as a response. "Anything in particular we should focus on or should we just, as some say, "wing it"?" The imp then asked the gaomon, scratching his chin ponderously.
That would have to wait for a moment however, but on the plus side they would get to share a meal once again.
"Yay, lunch!" The lizard cheered happily at the mention of food, before suddenly stopping as his expression turned from delight to slight concern. "But uh...we didn't bring any food though..."

Bellamy had to chuckle when Gio showed such affection to his brother. Partly because it was so adorable, and partly because he'd often show such affection to Luke himself, just not in public like this. But he revealed his smile in full when Dio returned the affection.
"That's really great. Honestly, I don't know how I'd be without Luke, so, I'm really glad you two found each other and it's all worked out like this." Bellamy replied, in an uncharacteristically polite tone.
Colin listened to Carlos's reply and nodded, smiling as well. "I'm glad of that. I heard what went down that night... I'm glad that most tamers and digimon present in the Entertainment District were aligned with KIZNA. While I don't know much about their group, I do know that plenty of their number are good people. And that you helped them out, I'm happy for that as well."
While Colin had his own organization - AEGIS to take care of, there were enough interpersonal bonds between them and KIZNA for them to think of each other as allies. If ever KIZNA needed a favour, Colin would be delighted to provide. And, so he hoped, vice versa.
A few moments later, Owen was glad to shake Gio's paw. The Gaomon did it as he was taught by his WereGarurumon father. Firm, but not so tight that it hurt. That made a good first impression - that they were meeting as equals, not as one person and another person with a dead fish in the place of a hand. Owen also felt thankful to Dio in preventing his brother from petting his head. That was something of a complicated feeling for the Gaomon. While he would accept humans petting him there, since he knew that he looked like one of their Earth Dogs and that it was an expression of affection from them... another rookie level digimon doing that to him? That'd be something he wouldn't know how to respond to.
It seemed all was on board for now. Dio asked Owen if there was anything in particular that they should focus on. The Gaomon smiled and replied.
"Main thing to focus on? The welfare of your brother." Owen replied. "I might not have any siblings myself, but I have over a dozen children. And I teach all of them the same thing - look out for their brothers and sisters. You two have a bond beyond comprehension. You too, Luke and Bellamy. I want you to show that to my pupils as closely as you can."
With that said, Owen would head toward his house for lunch, leaving them alone for the time being.
"So, ah, how about we catch up in the inn?" Colin suggested to Carlos, Dio and Gio, eager to hear how they were going at this time. "I hear they have some really neat food available for breakfast, lunch and dinner."

"...thanks Bells." Dio replied with a sincerity that was rather uncharacteristic of him. It was honestly refreshingly nice to have someone else that understood what he was going through, and who better than another twin digimon?
"Aww, you have such nice friends Dio." The guilmon said, nodding his head with a content smile as he gave his brother a vigorous head pat, his voice sounding almost proud of that fact, if not just a bit surprised. Perhaps even he was aware of how..."picky" his brother could be when it came to relationships, so it was nice to see even the so called Dark Lord could find friends at all.
"O-of course! The Dark Lord doesn't just befriend anyone, after all." Well, at least on the plus side Dio was technically complimenting Bellamy in his own odd way, since he clearly held that "honor" in very high esteem, and they all knew he wasn't one to go around befriending everyone either.
It was true that AEGIS and KIZNA had dealt with much of what went down during the Golden Week, and it was also true that Carlos had been there at that moment. That said he couldn't help but to shake his head a bit before giving teen a self deprecating smile and continuing again.
"I mean I didn't do that much, it was mostly these two and the other tamers and digimons that did tbe majority of the heavy lifting. If anything I was there for moral support in a way." He wasn't being humble either, his biggest contrivution to that situation had been...bringing the twins along to help and giving his "niece" some needed encouragement.
"I can do that." Dio simply retorted to the Gaomon with a nod. Looking after his brother was something he already had to do on a daily basis, doing the same during a fight would logically prove to be just as easy, right?
"Sounds good to us! Lead the way." The silver haired man nodded at Colin, as eager to get something to eat as he was to simply spend some quality time between the six of them.

Owen blinked a little at what Dio had to say, particularly because the Gaomon wasn't really prepared to deal with someone that declared themself the "Dark Lord". But when Bellamy and Luke seemed to treat it as a normal thing with him, he decided to put aside any umbrage and let them be for now.
"Okay, guys, once you're ready, we'll meet in the main park." he said, and left to return to his class.
When Carlos admitted that he probably hadn't contributed that much to dealing with the events of golden week, Colin smiled back at him. "Sometimes, just you being there is enough contribution." he reasoned. "You were there, factoring in to the bad guys' plans on how far they'd go. I wasn't. I... really regret that I wasn't there that night." he admitted quietly.
Colin didn't say much after that as they parted ways, heading into the Rosewood inn for lunch. Luke recommended they have a good balanced meal to ensure they would be at their peak strength. While the Elecmon wasn't so keen on doing battle with friends, he at least wanted them all to be at their peak strength so they could demonstrate their best in front of a class of young digimon that wanted to know how to fight properly.
And so the three of them ordered a nice nutritious snack, rich in protein and carbs for them to have maximum energy for this, and hoped that Dio and Gio would have the same.
"So, anything interesting you guys been doing lately?" Colin asked curiously, just ordering a decent toasted sandwich. "We've pretty much been keeping busy with AEGIS business ourselves."
