Time in the Digital World made Zachary really think. It had been a month or so since he first met Ryouta and found Panthermon in the Real World. His Digimon-- a Digimon born from his own imagination and dreams. It took some adjusting, but he had grown as a tamer. He learned how to use cards, fought dangerous foes and made friends with many Digimon. He thought his time in Tokyo, alone, would be hell-- but now that he was a Tamer, he couldn't imagine his life being any different.
He laid in bed for a bit, the day off as he looked up to the ceiling in thought. Despite it, and the passing friends he made in his adventures, Zachary still felt alone. Even as Panthermon napped at the foot of his bed, his soft growl-like purrs audible from where he was, he wanted to do more as a Tamer. Even though Panthermon was strong, a Digimon was only as strong as their Tamer and at times he felt like he failed Panthermon for it. He wanted to be better, but there was so much he still had to learn.
It wasn't that either. Zachary had a hard time keeping Panthermon hidden too. Though he lived alone at the moment, he had his family over briefly when they visited for the Holidays and he had to make sure Panthermon wasn't around. Even while the jungle cat could become Invisible, it still was hard to keep him a secret between food and other odd coincidences. But beyond that, after the events of Golden Week, Digimon, in general, had become a concern to most, especially DATS and AEGIS. He knew he wasn't the only tamer out there, let alone one struggling to keep his activities and Digimon a secret. And he was done being alone.
With a sigh, he sat up from his bed-- stirring the Panther Digimon a little to urge him to open his eyes. Something wrong, Zachary?, Panthermon asked, using his telepathy.
No, why?
Because I'm an observant jungle cat. Spill, he replied once again telepathically, sensing the unease his partner was in.
Zachary sat himself down at his computer chair as he looked to Panthermon. "I just feel a bit lost. We been doing this for a while, and we struggle to grow. Sure we met some fun people on the way, but I just think we can't just keep going in on this all alone anymore. I need... I feel we need some guidance, and maybe even try to make more allies as Digimon Tamers." Zachary said.
Panthermon rose his senses a bit and sat up to look at Zachary, still sitting on his bed. "We aren't that worse off as is, Zachary. I know you feel you are struggling, but I think you're being a bit too hard on yourself. All things come in time." the jungle cat replied.
"I know," Zachary said, looking to his computer, "Believe me, I am not giving up on myself or anything like that. But I do feel I want to try and meet more tamers. Maybe even start a group. I struggled as a tamer at first, especially hiding you. I can't imagine we are the only tamers feeling alone out there. I think we should try to reach out and find others like us. Who knoes, maybe someone else out there created a Digimon from a drawing like you. Point is, I want to learn and I think the only way to do that is to reach out. " He said, turning to the computer with a spin of his chair.
A soft growl came from the Jaguar Digimon as he laid his head down again on his paws. "Careful, a lot of wierdos are on the internet," he said with a sarcastic tone to tease his partner.
"Says the Cat Digimon who enjoys making comments on cat videos online," Zachary replied in kind with a smirk on his face as he logged into the Tamer-Net.
He only glanced at it till now, as he saw the page-- a simple forum that seemed to be a hot-spot for tamers. Zachary knew some frequented it, and it would be a good place to connect with others. Even allowed certain Digimon in the Digital World to reply by some means.
A bit hesitant, Zachary opened a page in the General Chat section, calling it" Networking". After a moment, he began to write. Dear Fellow Tamers and Digimon too,
Nice to meet you all. The first time I have tried to use the Tamer's Net to reach out, and hope I meet some people here. I have been a Tamer a few months now, and while I have grown and improved from when I started, sometimes I stumbled and haven't been able to be the better partner my Digimon deserves. Maybe I am being too hard on myself, but I feel there is much I can learn and know there must be others like me. I have met some tamers, but in the midst of a crisis, it isn't always easy to ask for their email .
Anyway, I wanted to try and see if others feel that way. It isn't easy to take care of a Digimon in the human world, even for one who can hide as well as my partner can, like this cute girl I met who luckily her Digimon can pass as a head-phone wearing stuffed rabbit. Either that or they just have no other tamers to really talk to or meet with. I for one tired of being alone in this and want to really connect with others here.
I hope I didn't blab too much, but let's chat. I am sure there are some amazing people here who want to meet others and share their adventures in both worlds. Thank you for hearing me out and I hope to hear from you guys soon.
Sincerely,
'Zaber'. Zaber was Zachary's online alias and one that he was particularly proud of. A name for an adventurous type he thought. Finishing his words, he hovered the mouse over the button. With a deep breath, he clicked it.

John and Runa where spending a relaxing day after school in the dorms, Runa was playing a puzzle game, and John was just sitting at his laptop, browsing tamernet. "Hmm, doesn't seem to be many new posts, I guess I'll click on this networking one." he thought as he clicked, After reading it he was intrigued and began to write.
Hey there, I was kinda board and decided to check this thread, and to be honest I've not really met to many new people for a while. Life's gotten pretty mundane lately, which probably sounds really crazy coming from a tamer lol.
Anyway, how's it going?
John's username was Jojo, he decided to go with his old nickname that he had back in the USA, he looked it over and then hit send.

Pickle was having a slow day. That didn't mean that was a bad thing, it just meant that school was out and people to help were currently in short supply, both of which were technically very good things! However it also meant that they were getting bored. Pickle didn't do boredom very well at all and so they were searching for something to do when their stomach decided it was time to eat something, anything, please you haven't eaten all day you even skipped breakfast.
They found their way to a cozy cafe off the beaten path and ordered what was perhaps one too many pastries along with a very large drink and settled in to pass the time for a while. Pulling out their phone they opened a new app they had recently found available to them, something called 'Tamernet' whatever that was. They hadn't messed with it much yet honestly, hadn't really had the time, but now they opened it up to take a look and see what it was all about.
Pickle scrolled through the various posts for a while before pausing at a new one that had just popped up. Reading through it they smiled and nodded in agreement. While the people they had met so far were pretty awesome, they really wanted to get to know others who were involved in this strange new life they had found themself thrust into.
Hiya!
I'm pretty new to this whole thing myself, but I kinda get what you mean about not meeting many of the others out there. I got lucky and ran into a couple my first day out, but I haven't really met anyone since. I guess technically I wouldn't be called a Tamer since I don't have a Digimon partner per say, I've got a spirit I can turn into instead so I know I have it easier on that front, but that's really the only thing I know to call myself right now aside from Spirit User.
Are there any ways for Tamers to get together a bit more easily if anyone here knows? Like specific meeting places and stuff that're common knowledge? If there isn't, there really should be you know?
Don't go being too hard on yourself Zaber, everyone has to grow at their own pace and rushing that isn't going to help you at all. I might not be very strong yet myself, but if you need help I'll see if I can offer any!
I'm doing good Jojo, a bit bored atm so I'm just trying to find something to do. Could use a bit of fun you know? wbu?

I'm just sitting in my dorm, I would have gone to this gym I go to, but it's closed for some remodeling. It's fine though, I can take a break from that for a bit. As for spots for us to hang out, I know of some digimon restaurants that have some good food, among other things.

Pickle tapped away at their phone with one hand, the other alternating between lifting various baked goods and their drink up for her to eat or drink. They were excited for any chance to talk to fellow Tamers or whatever they were supposed to be called, and they could foresee using Tamernet frequently in the future if possible. Tapping their foot in time to some odd little tune they couldn't recall the origin of, they began composing their reply.
Oh! I haven't tried any food from the Digital World yet, I'd love to go! What're they like? Actually, what's the food and stuff like, that's more important than the place itself. I'd heard there's a lot of meat based food in the Digital World but that's pretty much all I've got.

Well, basically any food that's made in the real world you can find there, it's good stuff too. One place sells these great grilled cheese sandwiches. The digital world is a very unique place, there's snowy mountains and forests, a desert, and so much more. I can't list all of them right now but it's a big place.

Zachary had taken a break to do some errands and cook dinner for himself. When he returned to his computer, he was surprised by the chain of responses he got so far. Two people had responded and now he had started a bit of a conversation. He smiled as he heard their encouraging response.
Curious, Panthermon stalked his way to the desk and propped himself up-- resting his front paws on the rim of the desk and head out so he could see the computer screen. Seeing his partner sit down, he saw as he began to type his responce to them.
It's a pleasure to meet you both.
Jojo-- Are you talking about in the Digital World? I didn't know you could access the Internet from there. Though maybe the TamerNet operates different there. Strange new world, I guess. ANd I can relate. Some days my partner can get a little ancy without something to fight. He mostly likes to catnap now.
"Hey!" Panthermon interjected, seeing the comment about him.
I seen some parts of the Digital World. While I been more frequent to Terminus, I been to the mountain region, and recent events, however, had me in a strange Digital Shift that was based on the Odo Museum. It's a long story. It was there I got some real experience and met some tamers there. A good dose of the hectic life that occurs for Tamers.
Pickle: That is cool. I heard about Spirit Users and seen some on my missions-- for the record, missions being an on-call situation in t he Digital World involving a certain Demon Lord's influence. Again, a long story. But I am very grateful for your words. Even so, you are still involved in the Digital World, even if you don't have a companion Digimon. I cannot imagine, however, becoming a Digimon. Transforming that way. Sounds incredible. I only seen one person with that ability.
Sadly I do not know of any groups outside of DATS, but they were kind of a buzzkill at Golden Week if you heard the news about that. But then again mean Digimon causing trouble there didn't help. I was there to fight em off too, but again, my efforts weren't as great as others. Anyway this is also a reason I tried to reach out. I have yet to find groups of people even close to sociable, at least those I can safely talk about Digimon with.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I realize I tend to put a bit too much on my own shoulders, but I take my duties as a tamer seriously so I try hard for both myself and my Digimon. And I greatly appreciate your offer.
What about you two? What have you done around the Digital World or anything happen in the Real World that involved Digimon?
He hit send again, and awaited more replies.

Ah no, I'm not talking there, I'm in my dorm here in Shibuya I was just talking about my experiences there. I haven't tried using TamerNet there yet, mainly because of internet not working. As for stuff I've done... well I just have been trying to avoid getting into too much craziness, for personal reasons.
Now I'm just trying to change that a bit, nothing to insane, which is why I decided to start with meeting new people, work up to adventuring later, and maybe get in contact with someone I've run into early on in my time here.

Pickle had finished her late brunch at this point and was simply sipping on her drink and watching the scenery go by as she relaxed. It was rare that she had time like this considering how much of her life was spent running around offering a hand to whoever may need it, it was kind of nice honestly. But she knew she'd need to get moving soon enough, she had a few small errands to run before getting home after all, and there's always a chance she'll run into someone needing help and get delayed. Her idle musings were interrupted as her phone chirped and she reopened Tamernet to find a few responses waiting.
Like I said I'm pretty new to it all, I've only been to the Digital World a little bit and I haven't necessarily gotten up to anything crazy. Mostly I just kinda run around town looking for things to do. I've been hoping to change that of course but going solo all the time doesn't seem like it'd be as much fun as going with friends you know?
Zaber, what's a Demon Lord? And what's DATS? I heard about some kind of commotion during Golden Week but I didn't hear any details. It was kinda weird actually how no one seemed to really know what happened aside from that there was property damage.
Maybe the three of us could meet up at one of those places Jojo mentioned? Get to know more of our fellow... I think my one friend called us Digidestined? Maybe see if there's anything interesting going on that we can do or something. Building connections is really important after all, and I'd like to meet your partner Zaber, he sounds neat!
Do you have a partner Jojo? Or are you like me?

Wait, DATS? Ah man I've heard about them, my partner and I are NOT fans of them, I can tell you that. Never heard of a Demon Lord, but they probably sound like bad news. Anyway, yeah I have a partner, but she hates it when I tell others her name, if she wants to introduce herself she'll do it herself, sorry.
So if we're talking about places to meet up, there's this place in Whitewater City that makes some great stir fry, I highly recommend that. Although if anyone has any other ideas, I'm all for hearing them.

"Apologies for popping in unannounced, but if the gentlemen and gentlewomen here are in search of companions to join a common cause, I can gladly provide you with contact information of people and organizations you might be interested in. There are far more humans out there than you were led to believe, but the digital world is also quite a busy place with aforementioned... problems to deal with."

There's no need to apologize for that! This isn't a private thing! ^v^ I'm always up for making new friends myself. I had heard there were a lot of humans involved with the Digital World, so that's really true huh? I wonder what it is that decides who is and isn't?
Honestly I just want to help people enjoy their lives and live without worrying about someone else coming along to mess everything up for them. If that's what you all want then I'm glad to have met some people who also feel like helping achieve that goal is important! The world is at its best when everyone helps each other out because we're all a lot stronger with that support. My goal in life is to help people as much as possible however I can, and becoming a Spirit User has just kinda expanded my options a bit more.
I would love to check that place out Jojo, when do you guys think we can go there? The only places I've been to so far are all around the Village of Beginnings and I'm not exactly familiar with anywhere else, so I have no suggestions myself. I'm free pretty much whenever school is out so pretty much any evenings or during the weekend I'm good to go.

Other groups huh? That's good to hear, and like pickle said you don't gotta apologize about that, it's an open discussion after all. As for when I can meet, it's pretty much the same as pickle's really.

Post by Ami Kurino on Nov 7, 2019 23:29:38 GMT
Ami was flicking through the apps on her phone in boredom. She had homework to be doing but right now she couldn't have cared less. Besides, doing homework with a cat Digimon on your lap was kind of difficult. Her partner was fast asleep, purring softly and Ami just didn't have the heart to wake her up. She came across the Tamernet app again. She'd forgotten about that...
"I wonder if anything interesting is being spoken about on there..." she flicked through it a little giggling softly at the most recent discussion...'networking' a chance to actually talk with other Tamers? One that didn't involve getting dragged to the Digital World by a Trailmon? Yeah, sounds good.
Hi, I'm late to the party but nice to meet you all!
I've not been a Tamer long, just over a week. So I've not really had much time to experience any insane situations yet. I mean aside from when I met my partner, she got into a fight with another Rookie called Liollmon. Talk about a Cat-Fight.
I don't know about DATS or this Golden Week thing though. I've been pretty absorbed in trying to keep this bright pink cat out of prying eyes. ^^; I think it'd be super cool to finally talk with some other people about the Digital World, I don't really like trying to learn the ropes by myself so its nice to find some other people!
Anyway, I don't know much about what's what in the Digital World yet. I'm the same for my free time if I'm allowed to join in! ^^ As long as I'm not at school I got time!
~~ AKira **
Ami's username was definitely better now than when she first used the tamernet. AK, her initials and the word Akira which was always her favourite word when she first moved to Japan. It was more than a little exciting to meet some other tamers. She was glad Zaber had decided to start this discussion. With a shaking hand she pressed send, and immediately started panicking. Ami wasn't exactly great with talking to people
"I hope I didn't sound too childish..." her worries kicked in "did I write too much? Hm..."
Mikumon looked up from her lap. "Ami, Digimon trying to sleep here. Could you talk to yourself somewhere else?" Her partner asked with a sarcastic tone.
"Oops, sorry Miku"

Time passed and Zachary saw the large number of text that came in. A part of him felt more confident as he read the responses and he soon began to write his own to answer them, including the mysterious newcomer called "Cion".
Pickle: Yeah... doing it alone is kind of a drag. And all the more reason I wanted to find others like you guys. :-) . Well Demon Lords are super-powerful Digimon with so much negative energy, feeding off negative emotions of people they can effect whole areas. DATS is a law-keeping group who uses Digimon too, but my opinion of them are a bit... restricting especially for tamers like us.
Thanks regarding my partner. Meeting is possible. Though We, as in who has a Digimon we been called Digimon Tamers.
Jojo: Have you been to Terminus? That seems to be a major place for Digimon to be and also where humans can go too.
Cion: Thank you. I would love to know more. I am well aware we are not the only tamers out there, but it is hard to find others like us, especially in the human world. It is a pleasure to meet you, Cion and glad to have you with us ^^.
AKira: Nice to meet you Akira. I know all too well how being new as a Tamer can be. It isn't easy. But I hope you have a reliable and loving parnter. Mine is a bit of the serious type, but is a big kitten deep down. Anyway your more than welcome here, Akira. I'm so glad so many people have come with interest to chat here .
Zachary sat back, happy as he saw so many responders. It was then that the suggestion of meeting began to possibly cement in his mind. There was a possibility for them to meet, and safely. As if with anything over the internet, meeting someone over a chat wasn't always the smartest angle. However, if they were all tamers, or Spirit Users, or anything else... it be worth it going out of his comfort zone.
