Description:
This subplot plot deals with ExD Digimons, a case of Digimons infected by strain of ExD virus. According to some known report, the ExD virus was a vaccine that applied to Digimon from other universe of Digital World to acclimate to our Digital World. However, before they could be applied to the inhabitant of said Digital World, their Digital World has first driven to destruction, with its piece drifts toward this Digital World and settled in Sunken Elysium. The unused strain eventually unable to find its supposed host, and evolved into ExD virus.
The ExD virus causes several malformation to the Digimons with low synchronization level with it, causing their element to be altered, and them to be suffering while at the same time causing mayhem to anyone near them. High level synchronization will make the Digimon attain pseudo-evolution status, similar to armor, while at the same time shedding the much unneeded double edged trait.
To prevent more spread, a special scientist teams are made by various city states, and those who are interested should work together with them. They promised several rewards for those who further their goal in looking for cure for ExD virus.
The reward for this subplot are Moves, Bits, or Posts. Artifact can be given, but only for particularly very successful subplot event.
Start of the plot:
The subplot started when one day strange Digimons began to appear in various part of Digital World. The affected areas happened to be semi crucial part of smaller city's economy, such as Whitewater's Binary Archipelago Resort, the farm deep inside Tyrant Labyrinth or the Spartan Training Ground. Due to it's unknown nature, the requested members are told to be remain vigilant. It's not known whether the Digimons can evolve per se, but exactly because of that request for help were asked. Afterward, you might get summoned by the said task force to assist them.
How Does the Plot Works?
There are two phases in the subplot: Story Phase and Interim Phase. Story phase is where you works in a mission based story mode to further drive the story forward. It will give posts and bits reward. If there are bosses, up to you performance, there will be either moves or artifact too, up to the staff on that.
In the interim, there are subjugation requests, usually 2-3 per team. These are partywide for glory that sadly does not reward usual for glory rewards. It however, gives drop of booster pack at times, or bits (usually bits). The common drops are ExD Fragment, which can be synthesized into usable items for the subplot if you gathered enough. Boss class ExD may give you moves based on your performance against it.
