Charles would chuckle gently at Arakan's 'heck', patting her head. "Like I said, kiddo; I'm sure if we can find a way to safely gather that poison of yours, you might not even have to get close to the Boarmon." He'd point out; though there was still the question of how they'd go about doing that... Hm..
At Scarab's mention of putting the venom in a jar being cumbersome, though.. "... Actually; maybe the nice cat - Polty, right? - could carry it?" Charles suggested; gesturing to the Meicoomon in question. "I noticed the box she has - it's... What's called an Infini-store, around here, right?" He had seen them in a couple of stores in Terminus, though he didn't exactly have the bits to buy them at the time. "If we wait until we're there to start gathering the poison, or if we keep the jar in there until we start setting up the trap, I don't think there'll be any problem transporting it."
Although Hisato put emphasis on it being a choice, though... Polty's eyes lit up, and her ears pricked up, tail beginning to twitch with excitement. "Vroom vroom!" She'd chirp in response to Ogremon; throwing her arms up in visible excitement... Only for her impmon arm to pop off, and go sailing thru the air a short distance...! "H-heck!" Almost immediately, Polty would go to retrieve it, before laughing briefly. "I'm cool with playing decoy 'n lending my Infini-store, though." She'd mention to the others, her tail swishing. "It seems that we're pretty prepared though, soo... 'aight, I'mma head out!" Turning to the other hunters, Polty would wave to them - adding "Thanks for the info and traps, guys!"
With everything figured out, they'd all make their way out of the tavern, and retrieve the shovels. Though they'd make their way for the forest, a feminine voice would call out to the lot of them before they could go - drawing Charles' and Polty's attentions to someone who went by the name of Kouru.
She'd offer to read their fortunes, which Scarab seemed interested in. Charles would nod with; smiling to Kouru, and moving her way. "It's nice to meet you, Kouru; my name is Charles." He'd introduce himself to the mysterious individual, offering her a handshake. "I'd be interested in hearing my fortune, too, if you please." While he recognized there wasn't really such thing as telling one's future... Maybe digimon had the capacity to do it, given the more fantastical themes that the Digital World had?
Polty, though, would shrug her shoulders a bit; grinning lopsidedly. "I 'ppreciate it, but I'ma pass!" She'd chirp, folding her arms behind her head in a lackadaisical fashion. "What's the fun in life, if I just spoil myself to what's gonna happen next? If I wanted to know what's gonna happen, I'd be reading wikis 'nstead of watching my shows."

"We don't need to make a whole trench, just some decent sized holes that we can use as area hazards to limit its movement." They took in the other's conversations with a small frown of concentration, clearly thinking very hard about how to approach this. "If we can find that plant they were talking about, you can coat your paws with the sap Arakan, that should make it so you can do your up close attacks and deliver poison directly. Me and someone else can work on making a couple pit traps while you look for it? How about we use the sonic bomb as a signal for Polty to lead the boar to us if it doesn't decide to come to us after we set it off?" Pickle made their way to the door with the others, this last bit of possible strategy their final idea for the plan. Really all they could do was try their best to be prepared and handle things as they came. "Mkay, let's go kick some boar butt!"
The mysterious individual who had introduced themself as Kouru definitely caught their attention on the way out however. "A fortune reading? Yes please!" They were more than willing to take a bit more time for this, and if it offered any insight into what might be coming they'd be even happier. Every bit of knowledge was useful in Pickle's opinion. "I've always loved fortune telling."
Polty passed on the chance for a fortune, and as she made her way to the door Pickle smiled at her and offered a thumbs up. "Good luck, don't get caught." They'd only known these people for a brief period now and already they had gotten invested in their well being, they all seemed like nice people.

"That is an idea.. It could probably do a lot more in bigger quantities, as well." Arakan responded to the idea of putting her poison into a jar, visibly perking up. "Though I've never tried to extract it in big quantities, it's just kinda inside my claws. Kinda like a cat? They're not necessarily poisonous though I don't think." The pup furrowed her brow and hopped up onto the table, careful not to knock anything over. "I can dig! Plotmon can dig!" She piped up, her stubby tail set to wagging back and forth. This was something she could do for with hundred-percent certainty, and she was all about it. "Cover myself in sap and attack a big dumb pig.. Mkay, mkay!" She nodded eagerly verifying she had heard.
"Ohh.. I wanna know my future, I guess. Maybe I'll figure out what I wanna do next with this darn spirit." Arakan moved over to the side of the table closer to the fortuneteller and hopped off onto the floor. This was the longest she had gone being in this form and it was just feeling more and more natural. A break may be in order at some point, but she could worry about that later. Having the energy of a puppy wasn't all that bad when there was still a mission ahead.
"Oh yeah.. Guess we need a jar? I should figure out how to make this stuff just kinda ooze out." Plotmon waved a paw, motioning to the other.

Fufu, not even a shred of suspicion on her? How very nice. Usually someone would be more on guard with her, but looks like they just took whatever happened with face value. Kouru smiled and sat on a stump nearby after trading pleasantries like shaking hands and such. "Well, I'd like to ask you to spare me some changes if you don't mind, like 50 bits each person, but seeing that you all trusted me that much, I'll feel guilty if I got paid before I showed you how authentic i am, right? Ah, but, a fair warning, I can't see what's ahead of you when it comes to nebulous fates, such as when will you meet your spirits or where. However, as it happened, you all meeting together here... yes, was an inevitability (hitsuzen) it seems! So I ensure you the accuracy of the reading."
Regardless, the fortune teller took out a deck of card and shuffled it. Without even looking at the cards and instead at the group, she fixed her gazes first from Charles, then to Hisato and Scarab, to Pickle, than finally to Arakan. Once she done, she suddenly spreads the card, letting it floating on the air. Her mouth parted, and it was as if she's chanting something, yet it was too fast to follow. The more sharp eared of the team perhaps could hear something like a string of "I" and "O".
Once she's done, Kouru crossed her leg.
"Let's start with reading of a close future shall we? Hmmm... Let's see... 'Disaster came from the direction where the sun fell. Do not look back toward it as you run, because surely it'll caught up to you. Move like lightning, five steps ahead before turning. Nature is responsive to disaster, and will surely provides. On place where the sun set, where the disaster would be, you might find a silver lining. Hmmm... it says that there is also a risky maneuver if you would like to trap it. "Outrageous sounds mutes smaller sounds... Lightning might be booming, but howling wind is also strong. Be careful when summoning gale, as storm surely follows close by.""
After that, Kouru shuffled the deck again before laying some more
"...As for what's ahead.... As colored stars gathered, what's ahead might be perilous. More of this will be repeated. Whether it's malicious or not, I can't get an exact reading, but... it says that what's ahead might be weights your heart. 'Knowledge won't make it easier, and perhaps will make it harder for you. Those who think they might fall, will most likely fall. Your greatest enemy and ally would be your own heart. But even then... when the time come, then you should choose... to guide, or to abandon."
With this, Kouru took one card specificly. It multiplied to four. She handed one each to the humans. The card is called 'The Shepherd', yet it looked more like a monk with ascetic looking clothes, a sword pointing downward on left hand, and a staff with lantern on the right hand. After giving it a moment of silence, Kouru clapped her hands. The cards fell limply. The lady took out what looked like a magnet and gathered the cards together again easily.
"Well, that would be 200 bits in total please~"

It was not so much that Kouru wasn't met with any sort of suspicion at all, but the literal moment that Hisato drew close to Kouru, something just...felt off to him. It was noticeable, but at the same time this feeling wasn't very prevalent, merely only being enough to make his skin crawl for some weird reason like it's a fight or flight response.
So, he just shrugged that off for the moment as he, Scarab and everyone else got close to Kouru. The fortune itself was as fortunes were. Vague, yet somehow sensible. Even Scarab felt like he could pick at what this stuff meant, even though some of it seemed to sail over his head.
If you should run from the boar, don't look back. Stay ahead before you turn...And nature should respond in kind? And some noises overshadow others...
"I think I get it. Thanks, lady." Scarab nodded a few times before he glanced around. Was...Was anyone expecting him to pay? Hisato was getting some bits (100, specifically,) so he could cover some of it. The rest was up to everyone else.

"Well; some people milk snake venom, by... Well, to put it simply, by making the snake bite the top of a vial that usually has something like cloth or plastic over the top of it; having the snakes inject their own venom into the vial themselves." Charles explained to Arakan briefly, thinking for a second before continuing "Perhaps if we did something similar - secure some form of thin 'lid' over a jar, then have you puncture it with your claws - then maybeyou'd be able to 'inject' the venom into the jar." Perhaps it was a bit of a long shot, but it was a reasonable first guess, he supposed.
In any case, though Charles did find Kouru a bit odd in truth; he also didn't want to be judgemental. Digimon in general were strange and new; and he was still learning about them, so he simply filed Kouru's appearance under typical digimon strangeness. He would politely sit down on the grass before Kouru; knees folded underneath him, as he'd listen to her strange chanting. "Fascinating..." He couldn't help but softly comment to himself with a gentle smile; and it seemed that his spirit was in agreement, the Wanyamon briefly emerging and settling themself on his lap to watch as well..!
And then, there would come the readings. As one might expect of it, there was a certain crypticness to it all - although... Charles would appear quite thoughtful, lightly rubbing his chin as he pondered it all. The direction of where the sun fell, do not look back, move like lightning... He had a hunch on what some of the things regarding the close future meant, and it looked as though Hisato and Scarab understood, too.
But, the reading for the further future, was something... More vague, but at the same time more interesting. He was less sure of what it might mean for the time being, but... Perhaps that was something that they could figure out, once they had the boar settled, as it sounded to be something more later on?
Either way, once offered the card, Charles would take it with a brief and polite bow to Kouru; gently holding it by the corners, as he looked it over. The Shepherd, huh...?
He'd put the card away for now, instead taking out a handful of bits, and passing it to Kouru; being more than happy to cover the remaining 100. "Thank you for your reading," Charles would begin; smiling warmly to Kouru. "I appreciate the forewarning, and I admit that I'm still adjusting to the Digital World; so seeing your work in action was also quite fascinating for me." Chuckling warmly, he'd scratch his cheek a little and add "It seems that we'll have quite the food for thought, for what's to come, though. I think I have an idea as to what some of it means, at least."
Polty, even though she hadn't been part of the reading, couldn't help but be similarly curious; her kitty senses meaning that it wasn't too hard to overhear Kouru's readings. An ear twitching, she'd idly chew at her thumb claw, glancing to the others. "So... What are you guys making of all this, then?" She'd ask; adding "A lot of that sounded pretty cryptic n weird, if you ask me..."

Pickle was aiming to pay the full sum, but the others beat them to it so they quietly tucked their bits away once more and turned back to processing the predictions that had been given. If Pickle was a more suspicious person, they might have found Kouru sketchy, but as it was they simply rolled with it as yet another odd Digital World Thing. Cryptic though the words were, there was some valuable information in there. Especially the part about how this would all happen again in the future to some degree. They'd already known the odd Boarmon was fast, but being given confirmation on that in this way as well was useful because it also told them to turn to avoid being trampled. Most of the 'close future' reading was confirming information they already had sussed out, but the locational data was new.
"So if we go to where it came from, we might find something useful huh? Maybe we should give it a try, what do you guys think?" The card that was offered was tucked away neatly into their backpack for later, and they continued. "We can continue with setting up in the direction we know the Boarmon is going, or we can try to circle around it and check out where it came from beforehand, maybe even set up back there and hope we can get it to backtrack if we make enough noise."
"We can talk about the distant future stuff later I think, focus on the task at hand for now and all that. It's not relevant at the moment. For now we gotta figure out where we go to set up. Do we do what we were gonna do already, or do we try to find this 'silver lining' Kouru told us about before we fight? We can always try to go for it afterwards, since we have no guarantees that it'll help with this situation right now. It might not be useful until whatever happens in the future." If anything, this whole situation was letting the more analytical aspects of Pickle shine through in ways they normally didn't show, a stark contrast to their normally bubbly demeanor. It was sort of nice for them, in a way. Getting to flex their mental muscles like this. The strategic opportunities presented by the Digital World were just one more reason they loved it so much.

Plotmon's influence had too much of a hold for Arakan's usual overly cautious self to shine. Plus, she had yet to meet a crappy Digimon. Humans? Plenty of those. But her number of experiences with bad Digimon when compared to the number with humans.. Yeah, it was easier to see why she was much faster to trust even the shadier characters. Arakan simply looked at the card, rather than take it. Considering her only means with which to take it would be her mouth. "Aww.. Doesn't help me with Plotmon at all. But, to be fair that won't matter if something goes really wrong with this boar, huh?" She asked rhetorically, tilting her head from one side and then to the other.
"Sooo.. Jar and some kinda cloth?" Arakan asked, just to verify. They didn't know what to make of the lady's fortune, other than as a warning to be careful and maybe to take things a little slower. She wasn't about to rush things regardless of any future-seeing, since she pretty much had one.. maybe two jobs. Bite a jar and dig some holes. Easy! "I dunno. She might be a bit crazy but at least she's real nice." The Plotmon answered.. maybe a bit too honestly.

Hisato had to dismiss the shot nerves from the previous post once more to listen to the people around him. The forewarning was useful, sure, but they had to figure out what to make of it fast...At least Kouru was nice, though. And she did provide some valuable if not cryptic information.
"We could do that, yes." He told Pickle, looking towards them. "But, I don't know how long that'll take. I'm willing to at least try looking to where it came from, though." For Scarab, however...
"I'm actually not sure what to make of it. I know fortune readings are supposed to be cryptic and all but...how much is truth, and how much is not?" The worm questioned, briefly. "...I'm with the 'Go to where it came from' camp, by the way." It seemed as though both of the lads wanted to get moving out of the village as soon as they could, and they would proceed with wherever it was deemed best if everyone managed to come to a conclusion.

Charles would glance down to Arakan; noting that she wasn't taking the card. "Do you want me to hang onto that for you, until you're ready to turn back, Kiddo?" He'd ask her - noting Plotmon's lack of proper pockets. If Arakan agreed, he'd kneel down to take the card, and pocket it alongside his own - keeping it safe, for the time being. "Or saran wrap; anything thin, that we can secure over the lid, and let you puncture with your claws." Charles would confirm with a nod; smiling to her. "Cloth is likely our best bet, though; I don't mind sacrificing a handkerchief for this, if we go through with the plan."
"I ain't opposed to checking out 'where it came from', either, if it's got some sort of silver lining." Polty mentioned; thinking for a second. "Though, that'd probably mean retracing the feral hog's steps, wouldn't it? That or... Going in the direction the sun falls."
"If the sun rises and falls the same direction in Digital World as it does the Human World, that would likely mean that the sun sets to roughly the west; though we could probably also just use the sun right here, to figure out which way to go, anyways." Charles commented; glancing upwards, a hand shielding his eyes, as he tried to gauge where the sun was in the sky - in relation to what time it was. "So we might find some answers, searching to the west of the Boarmon sightings. It might be worth setting up our traps there, too."
And as for the other things in the given fortune... "... The other advice given sounds as though we should not look behind us, if the Boarmon is chasing us. Move like lightning... Possibly means to zig-zag, five steps before we turn. Though, it could also refer to how lightning tends to strike the tallest conductors first, though this explanation is probably less likely..." Charles mused; idly rubbing at his chin, along the light stubble.
"Nature being responsive, and surely providing... It might be a reference to that Robbar sap, though I'm less sure of that, if I'm honest; it doesn't seem like something that's exactly responsive. I'm not entirely sure what the gale and storm bit might be a reference to; though I have some hunches, even if likely unreliable ones."
"I ain't afraid of the boar catching up, myself." Polty mused, grinning a bit. "I got my ways of staying one step ahead of some feral hogs, with me and my baby! Can't wait to leave it in the dust!"
Charles glanced back to Polty, before smiling a bit; patting her on the head. "Just don't get yourself hurt, okay?" He'd mention with a caring hue. "We all should be careful, for that matter."
The touch would prompt Polty to puff up a little; surprised by the sudden touch, but... She'd purr a bit; her tail swishing, before remarking "Can't make any promises; daredevilry is in my blood! ..." She'd pause for a second - as though thinking - before adding "... I'll make an attempt, at least, though. Definitely don't wanna scratch the paint on my baby."

Pickle grinned at the others, hands on their hips as they put forth their opinions on the best way to go. "It sounds to me like we're gonna go try to find where this Boarmon came from then, since it has my vote too. It's just too tantalizing to ignore really." They then looked at Arakan. "If we wanna go with collecting some of your venom for us to use later, does anyone here have an empty container of some kind? Actually.... hang on." They pulled off their bag and dug through it for a moment before producing a small tupperware container with a flourish. "I already ate what was in here earlier, just had some crackers. We can use it, I don't mind. Unless we were planning on using it to throw at the boar, then we'll need something more likely to shatter when thrown. But if we just wanna collect it to put on stuff, this'll work I think."
"Either way, we gotta start on our way to the 'place where the sun falls' I guess." They look up at the sun, and then at Charles as he seemed to be judging the direction they needed to travel. "Never knew I'd ever get to be part of a boar hunt. I even get to be one of the hounds."

"Oh, yes! Thank you Charles." Arakan gave a happy little bark in response. The card spared from being bitten through. While most of her was very much a puppy, those teeth of hers were sharper than even she knew. Almost like another animal she couldn't quite think of at the moment. Being a Plotmon made using her brain hard.
"Anything is fine! I'm pretty sure Plotmon's poison has to get inside to do any real damage anyway. So we'd just coat some traps with it... or!" Arakan paused, perking up as an idea occurred to her. A metaphorical light bulb lighting up above the pup's head. "We put my poison in.. uh, whatever it eats! Then we can get the whole container in there easy!" In hindsight, this plan would have seemed a bit brutal. But in the present moment she was just excited she had come up with an idea even she thought was pretty good. The Plotmon was excited enough that she ran a couple of quick circles around Charles before she'd skid to a stop, her tail wagging while she waited for approval.
She wasn't still for too long though, as it seemed their next plan was to leave town- and soon, at that. Arakan followed Charles closely in that case, glancing up at the other members of their little group now and again.

"Going out are ya?" Gerrick asked the group as he approached them. "I overheard what you got... Quite the strange lady is she? She just appeared one day when the hog appeared... I don't know what's up with her, but while I do think she's suspicious, she doesn't smell like the one who caused all this shit... If I were to be the mastermind, I wouldn't probably dress that suspiciously... but how to say... I felt like something is sort of... wrong with her?"
He glanced toward Kouru who just smiled and waved her hand.
"...I can't put my finger on it. I wouldn't say she's hostile for one, or suspicious in negative way, but more like something about her doesn't belong. Have you heard any human spoke that fast? That and her brand of..." Gerrick made a quoting move "Magic, it sort of disturbs me. Like it doesn't quite belong to this world, do you get what I mean? She said it's just some flairs as magician though, rather than actual juju. 'Science' she called it, but who knows? Anyway, West is clockwise from that gate over there..." he pointed at gate that Kouru came from
"Let's say that gate is 12 o'clock, right? West is around... five I think."
Gerrick took out a compass, and nodded after he made sure. "Right, it's five. At any rate, before you guys really go out there? Here's the container that you guys was talking about I hope it's enough... Never heard a Plotmon with poison before, but I guess everything goes around here."
The container is a pot, porcelain one. It's light enough to be carried around and seem could contain quite a lot of poison too. "be careful out there. If you got in danger, run."
Outside the town is eerily silent. There are not even a chirp of bird and buzzing of insets. It's almost as if the creatures know what sort of danger they'll face if they did as much as making a sound. This, added with the mist, emanates rather oppressive atmosphere. The party's breaths and footsteps seem to be magnified severalfold in volume... But they probably know that it's just like that because it's dead silent. Sometimes, wind would blow, and the leaves rustled... but either way, now's the big question... what do they plan to do from here on? What sort of strategy they will do?
The clock is ticking.

Gerrick noting that something had been off with Kouru was something that struck a HUGE chord of relief with Hisato, all things considered. "...Agreed." He muttered. That lady's mere presence gave him the proverbial heebie jeebies for god's sake. Nonetheless, it seemed like everyone was in agreement that they would need to go to where the boar came from to find...something?
Cryptic fortunes were pretty damn cryptic, as it turned out. No, this wasn't any Studio DEAN-esque crap, this was, basically, the case. "...That's one way to see it." Scarab noted towards Pickle. Not every human could say they went hunting for one feral hog, that much was true...
Once they had headed outside, they found that the town was eeeeerily silent. Hisato and Scarab both figured that they needed to work quickly, so... "Let's just head west." Scarab whispered. They'd start moving that way if everyone was ready and in agreement.

Arakan's happy little bark in thanks would prompt a warm smile from the older man, as he leaned down to pat the Plotmon's head. "Of course, kiddo."
As far as the poison went, though... "If it's a venom - which is probably likely, given that it's from your claws - then it probably won't work as intended if it's ingested. Putting it on traps like you said, or weapons, would likely be our next best bet." Charles explained gently. Perhaps poisoning the Boarmon in general could be seen as a bit brutal, but... Any edge they can get to safely capture it, or - if all else fails, as a last resort - kill it, was valuable.
"And even if the poison could be ingested... If the Boarmon eats like a real boar, too, it would be able to eat pretty much anything edible that it can fit in its mouth." Charles added, in a bit of an afterthought. "So catching it with an appetite would likely be difficult, unless we gathered up something particularly delectable or appealing to it to use as poisoned bait. Otherwise, it'd likely already be plenty full from whatever it can scrounge up in the forest, or nearby farms."
It seemed they had everything they needed to get some doses of Arakan's poison, though. Charles would smile and nod to Pickle in thanks. Her joke, as well, about them getting to be the hounds in a boar hunt would draw a chuckle out of him. "You're not wrong; all three of us are the hounds, here." He'd muse; the Wanyamon spirit emerging and perching on his shoulder, as though to prove his point.
"Would this make Hisato, Scarab, and I the hunters, then?" Polty mused, glancing over to Hisato and Scaran with an amused smile. "Dibs on Grandpa Hound!" She'd exclaim in a playful fashion; wrapping one of her feelers around Charles' hand, and giggling cheerily.
("Grandpa Hound...?" Charles couldn't help but comment, mostly to himself; sounding a bit bewildered, but unoffended otherwise.)
...
As Gerrick approached them, commenting about Kouru... Charles would hum a little at the other's musings; glancing towards Kouru, then the guard once more. "I personally figured that Kouru must be a digimon, though I didn't want to make any assumptions or judgement, myself." He'd respond simply with a one-shouldered shrug, adding "Though, I don't think there's much point in worrying too hard over it, if she isn't suspicious or hostile. If she's a stranger to these parts, I'd say that's all the more reason to be welcoming to her."
"She might be a bit odd; but we're all bizarre, in one way or another, anyways!" Polty chirped in a lackadaisical fashion; casually popping off her Impmon arm and waving it around - as though to prove her point - before retaching it. "Be it who we are, what we are, or how we are; why worry about the weird, if it ain't hurting anyone?"
Regardless, Gerrick's directions, as well as the offered container, would prompt a nod and brief respectful bow to the other; smiling warmly. "Thank you, sir." He'd state; adding "We hope to return with good news, if things go well. You all be safe, as well."
...
Before they truly entered the forest, Charles would've taken the time to see however much of Arakan's venom they could collect; securing an old handkerchief over the containers, and having her puncture the cloth with her claws. He didn't expect to get a lot - Plotmon was a small fella, after all - and so, would fill up the tupperware (whose lid was easier to secure than the pot's) before he'd put any excess in the pot.
Once they did begin to near the forest, though... Charles would glance to Wanyamon - who was still perched on his shoulder - and to his D-Tector, which he had pulled out.
... Looked like it was time, to take on this form once more, wasn't it?
Though it had been awhile since the old man had gone through Spirit Evolution, it felt far more natural to him than it did the first time; the change from the form of an aged old man, to that of a spry young hound. When the light about him faded, in his place would be a Gaomon; a skip to the gloved beast's step as he led the way towards the forest. It seemed that he wouldn't be the only one to change, though; his spirit having taken the form of a Gaomon, as well.
Side-by-side, the two were nearly identical, save for the spirit's golden and wispy nature.
Polty, meanwhile, would have gotten her bike out - turning on her holosuit, walking it alongside her, with both hands on the handles. Though chatty enough before, she couldn't find much to say - given the value that silence had - once they began to near the forest. Instead, she was simply keeping readied; ready to start on a dime, if necessary.
