Yuko’s pink eyes widened when she saw the poor little Jinglmon flying in the air, but luckily the In-Training Digimon bounced on the ground unharmed, thanks to her soft, rubber-like body, as well as all the padding that made the ground softer to land on. All in all, Makoto seemed happy and cheerful as ever, but that changed when Elecmon picked her up and gave her a mild scolding in turn.
As Makoto meekly apologized, Yuko flashed a comforting smile at her. “We’re cool, I guess… You don’t seem to have claws or horns, so it’s only your teeth we have to worry about.” Dracmon also smiled one of his trademark big, goofy smiles at the apologetic lizard-puppy. “Yeah, we’re cool. You being here is kinda my fault in the first place, so I can’t stay mad at you. Here… have a Kit Kat.” The self-proclaimed Demon King said as he unwrapped another chocolate bar, which he pushed into Makoto’s mouth.

Makoto would perk up a little, at hearing everyone accept her apology; the little Jinglmon's expression lighting back up in a hopeful fashion, as her tail began to wag once more. She wasn't entirely sure what Dracmon meant by her being here being his fault, though any thought she might've had to ask him about it would quickly be forgotten in lieu of the Kit Kat that he'd unwrap for her, and put into her mouth. Eyes lighting up at getting to have some chocolate, she'd almost immediately begin munching down on and enjoying the chocolate bar; her tail wagging happily, as she mumbled out what might've been a 'thank you' to Dracmon, from around the chocolate bar.
Elecmon would chuckle with this - setting her down next to her bell while she ate the chocolate bar, before glancing over to the two, and smiling a bit sheepishly. "Makoto's a bit of an actress at heart. She loves re-enacting stuff from the storybooks we read to the kids, and will sometimes try to rope up her friends to act things out with her, too. She's been on a bit of a 'heroic knight' kick lately, I think; that, or she's been reading the comic books that someone brought in a couple weeks back." Or both, for all he knew; Makoto was a bit of an enigma, sometimes, as to what she was thinking - especially given how quickly things can catch her attention.
"Mhmm!" Makoto would hum in confirmation as she swallowed down her bite of the chocolate bar, smiling widely. "I'ma be a hero, and defeat all the bad guys!" She'd chirp happily, her tail wagging.
"Before the comic books came around, she wanted to be a dragon." Elecmon added with a soft chuckle; scratching the back of his head. "Kept asking for spicy food, so that she could breathe fire like when the characters in her picture books eat spicy food."

Seeing Makoto happily enjoying her chocolate made Yuko feel all fuzzy and warm inside, as she continued peeling the rest of her tangerine before eating it herself. According to the caretaker Elecmon, Mako-chan was really into acting and mimicking the heroes from her favorite storybooks, even wanting to become a ‘hero’ herself. “So, she likes playing ‘roles’, huh? That does check out, I guess…” The pierce-faced teenager nodded. Dracmon, however, was none too pleased by her career plans. “No, knights are bad! We call them the dogs of Yggdrasil. You should become an evil villain, like Funny Demon King Sir!”
Yuko shot a sideways glare at the vampiric Digimon, as if telling him to shut up, before petting Makoto’s head once more. “You can be anything you wanna be. Speaking of…” The girl’s expression got more serious, as she sat in a more formal-looking position, placing her hands on her knees. “Mako-chan… Me and Jokah are gonna leave soon, so we won’t be able to play much longer. We travel a lot, you see. This is a bit sudden, but… would you like to travel with us?” She asked the tiny Jinglmon.

It seemed that both Yuko and Dracmon were giving different signals as to whether or not she should be a hero, but... Makoto didn't see the problem with being a hero or knight, or even deciding to be a villain for a little while; she was just acting out a role, wasn't she? "Hmm..." She'd hum for a second, mostly to herself; before declaring to Dracmon and Yuko both "I'll be a villain later! I wanna be a hero for now!" with a big, happy grin; her tail wagging. "Maybe I'll even be a princess, after that!"
Elecmon couldn't help but chuckle at this; Makoto always has been a little headstrong, in that regard. "If you really wanna change her mind, I suggest getting her something fun to read." He'd advise Dracmon with a hint of humor, sitting down next to Makoto as she chowed down on the rest of her chocolate bar.
The offer for the little Jinglmon to come with them, though, would get Makoto's attention. Traveling? Out in the big wide world...? It felt like it was still so far off, given the short life that Makoto had lived thus far just to get to In-Training, compared to however much longer it felt like it'd take for her to get to Rookie, but... To be able to see the world beyond, without having to wait..?? And yet... Did she really wanna leave home behind...?
The world out there, it was big and new... But it was also scary, and it was so different looking from the Village that she was so used to. It also didn't have the nice Elecmon and Swanmon who looked after her, probably; she knew all the stories of the big scary digimon, that one could find out there...
Elecmon would blink a bit at Yuko's offer; before glancing down to Makoto, thinking a second - as though wondering whether to put the small In-Training in Yuko's and Dracmon's care, and as though to find his words. Once he had them, though, he'd offer the little Jinglmon a reassuring smile. "It's your choice, you know." He'd murmur to Makoto - reaching down to pet her. "You can always come home to visit; but this would be a wonderful chance for you to see the world you've always been so curious about, isn't it?"
The reassurance of her caretaker would help calm Makoto's nerves a little. Being able to visit home anytime sounded nice. And... she wouldn't be alone, would she? She had Yuko and Funny Demon King Sir..! They'd protect her, wouldn't they?
Glancing up to aforementioned duo, Makoto would take in a deep breath to steel herself, before nodding - "I wanna come with, please!" She'd mention; going over to her bell to pick it up in her mouth, before going back to Elecmon, to give him one big hug, as though to say bye.
Elecmon would smile a bit wistfully, returning the hug and patting the little In-Training's head. "... You be good for them, then. Alright?" He'd murmur- to which Makoto would mumble behind her bell, and nod.

Makoto declared that she would play the ‘role’ of the hero for a while, then become a villain and finally a princess. “That’s, uuuh… an interesting career path, I guess.” The Japanese delinquent remarked, sweating and smiling awkwardly, but trying to show her support to somebody’s questionable dreams regardless. Dracmon seemed a lot more approving of her plans, giving Makoto a hearty thumbs up. “Attagirl, don’t take too long to turn into a villain! You could even become an evil princess. Now that would be something!”
After some consideration, the young Jinglmon accepted Yuko’s offer to travel with them, and the duo rejoiced, so much so that Dracmon Digivolved back into Jokermon right on the spot! “Ahh, this will be marvelous! You’ll fit right in with IceDevimon, MarineDevimon and all the other damned souls!” The funny, flamboyant clown declared, opening his slender arms far and wide. “She shouldn’t be anywhere NEAR IceDevimon! Not until she Digivolves at least. She can hang out with MarineDevimon, though. He’s alright.” Yuko cut her eager partner off, before noticing Makoto and Elecmon hugging. “Oh… I guess you wanna say goodbye to everyone here first, huh?” She asked with a slight frown. Goodbyes sucked.

Elecmon would offer Yuko a reassuring smile. "Any digimon born here has to leave, eventually; either when they grow up, or when they find someone willing to adopt them and take them in." He'd murmur; a hand stroking over Makoto's head, as the little Jinglmon buried her face against the fluff of Elecmon's belly. "It may be sad, but they're always free to come and visit - and childhood friends are usually not too far behind. This isn't meant to be a permanent forever home for them, though. Just a place where they can grow and learn in a safe and loving environment, to prepare themselves for the world beyond."
As Makoto pulled her face away from Elecmon's belly, her eyes would be wet; though she'd briefly rub at her eyes with one of her stubby legs, the best she could. "There, there..." The Elecmon would comfortingly murmur to her, continuing to stroke her head. "How about you take this chance to go let your friends know that you'll be leaving, while I gather up your things, and we both meet at the gate; how does that sound?" He'd suggest to Makoto - who would take a second to consider the suggestion - before nodding in response. Chuckling with that, Elecmon would pat her on the head and get up.
Makoto would begin making her way to the primary central area of the Village, whereas Elecmon made his own way - glancing back to Yuko and Joker. "You two can either tail one of us, or wait at the gate; I'm just gonna go grab Makoto's stash for her, while she says bye to her friends." He'd mention to the duo; smiling warmly to them as he walked off.

Yuko and Jokermon exchanged a meaningful look, nodding at each other, before the punk-looking girl turned back to the retreating Elecmon. “It’s cool, we can wait. If she has friends she wants to say goodbye to, we’ll give her all the space she needs. I know childhood friends tend to stick around, but the ones I had kinda disappeared after me and my Mom moved to a new town. So, it’s best to take nothing for granted… We’ll wait for her just outside the village.”
As the peculiar duo made their way out, Yuko couldn’t help but notice that her usually loud and obnoxious partner was being uncharacteristically quiet all of a sudden. “You okay, dude?” She asked, reaching her hand up to tap the slender jester’s shoulder. “I have the most perplexing feeling… It’s as if a piece of me is missing.” The Clown Prince replied in a somewhat mellow tone. “Lemme guess. She wasn’t quite what you expected her to be?” Jokah squinted his eye in deep thought, as if trying to make head and tails out of his own emotions. “Ah, I think I know what this feeling is. It’s the same feeling a human has when one of their body parts is missing… Pain!” The teenage Tamer gave her partner a sympathetic look. “I’m sure she’s gonna remember you eventually. Part of her might recognize you already. How else would she warm up to you that quickly? For all we know, she could be in pain too, because she can’t remember you, even though you meant so much to her.” “I suppose so…” Jokermon smirked at that. “Why are you smiling? What did you think of? Tell me.” “Oh, it’s nothing… I was just thinking that you’ve grown a lot these past few months.” The colorful jester mused, smiling warmly at Yuko.

The Elecmon would nod briefly; smiling to the two. "I might be a bit; though we'll try to not keep you waiting." He'd murmur, before he and the duo both would walk their separate ways...
...
It'd take a bit of time, before the two other digimon would join Yuko and Joker both outside of the village; it likely taking time for Elecmon to prepare Makoto's belongings, as well as for Makoto to say her goodbyes. However, of the two, Elecmon would be the first; the electric beast approaching the duo with two bags in hand. One was a messenger bag - the size looking like it'd be comfortable for a rookie to wear and carry - while one was a more average-sized backpack, that looked to be filled to the brim; having to be half-dragged.
"Whew.... Pardon the wait, pals!" Elecmon would remark; attempting to smile, even if he did seem a slight bit sad still. "Here y'all go - Makoto's belongings, and some basic supplies to make acclimating to being a trio a bit easier on you two." With that, he'd hand both bags over; briefly dusting his hands off as he did.
The first bag - the messenger bag - was a simplistic one, made of basic leather and relatively light. Within the bag would be a couple of picture storybooks, a few comic books, as well as a colorful bouncy ball, a stuffed BlackGarurumon plushie, and... Interestingly enough, a deck of playing cards, although it looked to be old and worn; a couple of the cards missing, and one of the cards was a bit chewed on at the corner.
The backpack would - as one might expect now - contain supplies indeed, supplies particularly for helping making adjusting to having Makoto tagging along with them a little easier. There was a rookie-sized sleeping bag, a couple of blankets, a pillow, some basic first aid supplies, as well as a water flask and preserved foods; both more solid foods, as well as softer foods likely meant for a developing In-Training digimon. It all seemed like it'd be enough to tide them over for awhile, before they had to worry about picking food up for Makoto just as much as themselves.
"Thought it'd be a bit irresponsible of me, if I sent you all off without the means to take care of Makoto for awhile; a growing In-Training like herself needs lots of love and care, after all...!" Elecmon chuckled; trying to keep things lighthearted, even if he was a little reluctant to say bye to the Jinglmon that he had helped raise for a majority of the baby harlequin's life.
Speaking of... It didn't take much longer, before Makoto would arrive next. The little Jinglmon in question seemed to have a harder time maintaining composure than Elecmon was; her eyes were puffy, and her cheeks tearstained, as she sniffled softly - rubbing at her eyes. Tailing after her, would be a few other In-Training digimon; a Kyaromon and a Cupimon, who would both briefly comfort her with gentle pats. They wouldn't leave the village boundaries, though; hanging back as they said their final byes to Makoto, before turning back towards the village.
Elecmon cast the little In-Training a look of sympathy, and knelt down to pat her on the head as Makoto drew close. "There there..." He'd reassure her. "You'll be able to see them again, alright?" Makoto would quietly nod, the jingle of her bell almost unbefitting of the scene, yet present nonetheless. "You ready to go?" Elecmon checked in - to which Makoto would think for a second, before nodding again, a "Mhmm," of confirmation mumbled out from behind her bell.
Makoto would then turn to glance towards Yuko briefly, before using her portal ability; one below her, one above Yuko's head, much like once before. She'd nestle herself atop Yuko's head, between her horns, before letting out a soft sigh thru her nose; simply relaxing there.
This would make Elecmon chuckle softly; casting the Jinglmon a sympathetic look once more. "She probably'll sulk a little, but she'll perk back up in no time. This is a lot of change for a small 'mon like herself."

Elecmon soon approached the duo, carrying all of Makoto’s personal belongings. “Ah, good. My human partner can handle those.” Jokermon said, pointing to Yuko. “W-wait, why do I have to carry everything?! I’m just a teenager!” The Japanese delinquent protested, but got burdened with two extra bags regardless, in addition to her own backpack.
Luckily, the first bag was relatively light and easy to carry by strapping it onto her shoulder. Curiously examining its contents, Yuko found a few comic books, a plushie, a toy ball and a slightly damaged deck of playing cards. “Mako-chan really likes cards, huh? Jokah likes cards too.” The multicolor-haired girl noted with a smile. The second bag was larger and a little heavier, but was filled with ample useful supplies and enough food for all three of them. “Wow, you really thought of everything! Thanks…” The teenage Tamer nodded at Elecmon.
Mako-chan soon arrived as well, clearly teary eyed for having to say goodbye to her friends in the village. After being cheered up by her now former caretaker, the Jinglmon perched herself on top of Yuko’s head again, who sighed as one more weight was added to the already sizable load she had to carry. “Well, hopefully she won’t sulk for too long. You’re a big girl now, Mako-chan.” The delinquent girl said, reaching up to scritch the reptilian Digimon’s chin.
With that, they were ready to leave the Village of Beginnings with their new teammate in tow. The Tamer turned towards Elecmon one last time. “I guess this is goodbye. Thanks for everything, including taking care of her.”

The Elecmon would blink a bit, as Jokermon burdened Yuko with the bags, and scratched his cheek. "I suppose that's one way to get a human to digivolve, I guess?" He'd attempt at humor, smiling a bit awkwardly. "I'd think that it'd be easier on everyone involved if you don't make her carry everything, though..." He'd add to Jokermon, with a slightly raised eyebrow.
At the mention of Makoto liking cards, though, Elecmon chuckled and nodded. "Yeah.. It's an old deck that we had in the break room, though cause it's missing a few cards, noone really used it." He'd mention; adding "But Makoto seemed to take a shine to them when I thought to show them to her, for teaching her to count, so I let her keep the deck." With the thanks for the supplies, too, he would nod back; smiling a bit more brightly. "'Course. And uhh... Don't break your back carrying everything, please." He'd chuckle a hair sheepishly at this; seeming to still feel a bit bad that Yuko was being made to heft it all.
With Makoto's arrival, and her settling on Yuko's head, the Jinglmon's tail would swish a little at the delinquent's chinscritch; and though Yuko was likely unable to actually see the tailswish, she probably could feel and hear it. She was a big girl... Though she was also a big girl who was going to miss Elecmon a lot, going into a big and new world...
It seemed that the trio were ready to set off, though. With Yuko's farewell, the Elecmon would nod in response, waving. "It's my job, aint it?" He'd respond with a humorous tone; though would smile a bit more warmly and somberly, as he added "You take good care of her, okay? And you be good for them, Makoto; I know you'll do great."
Makoto would be quiet for a second, but... She'd spit out her bell - using her telekinesis to keep it close, as she waved a stubby leg at Elecmon. "B-bye bye, Uncle... I'll miss you lots and lots..!" She'd manage to choke out; tearing up once more, if the emotion creeping into her voice was of any indication.
