Something that she had been told from the mon she had purchased this boat from was that she needed to name it.
She was terrible at names, terrible terrible terrible! She didn’t have any idea what to do for a name; heck she never could decide on a name for herself! She had gotten a bucket of white paint, a paint brush and had been sitting next to the bow of her boat. Feet dangling off the side of the dock as she stared quietly at the side of it.
It had just rained a little bit ago so everything was slick and she couldn’t paint the name on the side of the boat until it dried. So she had plenty of time in this young day to decide on what she wanted to name it. But that was the issue wasn’t it? She still hadn’t a clue! She didn’t really have many people she could just go ask either.
Most people thought she was an ultimate wandering around that refused to speak when in reality she was just a champion that was mute. She’d sigh a bit and pull out her journal, flipping to one of the many blank pages. She’d stare at it for a few moments and frown.
Yeah still nothing on her end.
She’d grumble silently to herself and stand up, scooping the paint bucket and the brush in one hand while keeping the journal open with the other. She could just set this bucket down on her deck and be off somewhere. It wasn’t like anyone would take some white paint from a deck of a ship that wasn’t theirs!
The antylamon thoughtfully walked through the streets of early morning whitewater, the few bits of crowd that was here were avoiding bumping into the thoughtful looking antylamon. Honestly she stuck out like a sore thumb too given that she stood a head and shoulders… and chest over most of the mons that were about. But unlike a lot of champions or ultimates she seemed strangely gentle in her motions, even going so far as to avoid walking over people that weren’t paying attention...

Well, this certainly was a predicament...
Makoto was, to put it simply, lost! She had come to Whitewater City - for what reason they came here she didn't entirely remember, having not really been paying attention to the conversation - with her adoptive caretakers, Yuko and Joker, some time ago... It was such a large and bustling city; a huge change from the Village of Beginnings that she had grown accustomed to, before having met the duo.
But, being the small child that she was, Makoto had grown bored; until something - namely, a card store she spotted - caught her attention..! She had wandered off to check it out, and meant to go back to Yuko and Joker right away to ask them if they could go there... ... But as soon as she turned her head away, they had practically disappeared, in the bustling crowds of the city! Despite her best attempts to find her caretakers, Makoto had been having no luck in finding the duo; and while - normally - being the center of attention would be a treat for the little In-Training, the gazes of all the strangers around her - people commenting on a little in-training being seemingly on her own - was starting to make her a little stressed out.
"Mmm..." Makoto would let out a soft, distressed mumble from behind her bell; her stress rising, in still having been unable to find her caretakers. Certainly, she could've tried asking someone else for help, but... The stares and murmurings of the crowds that she'd pass thru were unnerving her, making her unsure of approaching one of them...
... At least, until something else would catch her eye. A tall, tall, digimon- taller than she'd ever seen before...! She didn't know what they were - but they made her think of the Elecmon that she knew and called her Uncle; except that this one was brown, big, and with floppy ol ears! Maybe they'd be nice?
With the Antylamon's thoughtfulness, it was hard to say how likely she'd notice a sudden small blue ring of fire floating over her head - but it was likely hard to miss the way that a small Jinglmon would suddenly plop on top, Makoto having used her portals to get up there..! There'd be a brief jingling noise from the tiny bell at the tip of Makoto's tail as she wagged said tail, as well as a soft jingle from the bell in her mouth as she let out a muffled giggle; gently shifting in place to get herself comfy atop her new friend's head. "Mpphhh!" She'd mumble out from behind the bell; her words unintelligible, but the tone at least sounding friendly and happy.

The antylamon stepped over a small gaggle of rookies that weren’t really bothering to pay attention to what was going on around them. She’d huff softly to herself and stand to one side, curious in her own right why the early morning was filled with people that didn’t pay attention! If this was anything like the busier segments of the digital world it’d…
The antylamon scratched at her head and wondered where that train of thought was going. She had never been to the busier segments of the digital world. Only ever being in or around whitewater on it’s own. Which she found to be pretty busy most of the time. The rabbit gave a little shake of her head; unaware of all the strangers staring at the strange in training that was on their own.
Her attention was firmly focused on her journal, as she blankly tried to think of names for her boat. Nothing was really even working out for her. It was kind of annoying really that she was so uncreative with this sort of thing. She’d adjust slightly and consider descriptors. It was a blue boat, it had white… and it fished. Maybe the Blue Fisher? No that was too simple…
She was so engorged in thought that she didn’t notice the little fire portal above her head and wasn’t really paying attention to above her of all places. But yes, it was incredibly hard to miss the sudden sensation of someone plopping onto her head. The antylamon blinked a bit and tilted her head slightly, eyes shifting to look up as the jingling sounded. The muffled giggle and larger jingle from whatever was above her.
It was something she had never seen, the very little bits of it that she could tell were there. She’d put the journal away and reach up, if allowed she would pick the strange new companion she suddenly gained so that she could get a proper look at them. Tilting her head ever so slightly; though it was easy to see that there was a small smile on her face from meeting this… well whatever it was!
Though unlike the strange semi muteness that Makoto had, her muteness was just… straight up that. So there were no real sounds or words accompanied by her actions. But she was beyond gentle even with the sheer size of this rabbit her motions were thoughtful and soft! Not to mention her fur was soft too...

Makoto let out a soft squeak as she was lifted up from the Antylamon's head; though otherwise wouldn't resist, simply wiggling her legs in the air a little, and wagging her stubby tail! This not-Elecmon was so tall, and their fur was so soft, too...! She couldn't help but briefly nuzzle her cheek against the Antylamon's hands that were gently handling her, at this; letting out a soft and soothed mumble out from behind her bell.
Glancing to the Antylamon's face proper, though, Makoto would tilt her head just as the rabbit digimon's head was tilted; almost as though she were mimicking her. Though, while Makoto was indeed mimicking the Antylamon... She was just as curious as the rabbit was! She had never seen an Antylamon before, and the tall and soft-looking digimon had gotten her attention easily as a result; especially given the similarities that she couldn't help but draw connections to, between the Antylamon and the Elecmons that Makoto knew.
After a few moments of mutual observation, though... Makoto would smile from around her bell, and would wave a stubby leg at Antylamon in a wave! "Mph-mphhhh~!" She'd mumble out all the whilst, with a happy giggle; was the little Jinglmon trying to say 'Hello' to her?

The other didn’t resist her attempt at lifting the other off of her head. She’d inspect the mon that had been sitting on her head for all of but a moment. They were definitely young, younger than her maybe? What with the way that the other nuzzled against her hand and with that soothing and soft mumble? The antylamon figured that the bell was something of great importance to the other; what with how they held onto it in their mouth? The distinct lack of hands would make it difficult to do otherwise even if it made it hard to communicate.
The other mimicked her head tilt and the antylamon smiled warmly. Maybe this little one was lost and seeing the big rabbit taking care not to step on people made them reach out? Antylamon’s ears flicked as she noted that the other was smiling, the small wave that followed suit was returned with a small wave of a finger and a gentle noseboop with the same finger. So this other could talk but likely was muffled by the bell… Which wasn’t really a problem to the antylamon.
The muffled way that the other mumbled out, followed once again by a giggle? Well. That was adorable and the antylamon felt her heart melt from the action of the In training. She’d consider briefly what to do; she couldn’t just take care of a mon like this right? She wasn’t a good caretaker. Heck how would they even communicate? Could this other mon read? She’d purse her lips a bit and slowly move to a nearby bench. She’d gently put the Jinglmon down before pulling out a journal. The only real way she could communicate with someone was through writing… thanks to someone who had spent time teaching her the basics at least! After she was done writing out what she had to ask she’d hold it up to the Jinglmon, an easy yes no question being written on the page!
Can you read this?

Makoto couldn't help a soft squeak and giggle as her nose was booped; her tail wagging once more, as she gently reached out to the finger with her stubby legs, so that she could nuzzle it for a brief moment. The not-Elecmon was so big, and maybe a bit weirdly quiet, but she seemed to be really nice, too..! While the crowds had, initially, stressed out Makoto; it seemed that being the center of attention to the Antylamon was enough to cheer her back up, having briefly forgotten why she was even stressed in the first place..!
As she was moved to the bench and put down, though, Makoto would sit on her haunches; her tail still wagging all the while, as she watched the Antylamon pull something out. Was that a book? It had a lot of what looked to be pages like a book; though from down here, it was hard for her to say for sure! It sure didn't have a bright and colorful cover like her story books, though - that much was for sure; so it must've been one of those boring big-'mon books.
As Antylamon held the journal up for Makoto, though, so that she could see the pages... She'd notice, first, that they were mostly blank! All that she could see on one of the pages was writing - which, she'd briefly lean in a bit to better read the question on it. Could she read this?
Well, yeah, of course she could read! Uncle Elecmon taught her to read, and she loved reading her storybooks and comicbooks, so she certainly hoped she could read! The little Jinglmon would nod up to Antylamon with a "Mhmm!" of confirmation; before glancing between the journal, and the rabbit-mon, a few times. It was clear that she was curious; though had no real means to communicate her questions, given that she was still stubborn about not spitting her bell out, except to eat.

The antylamon’s smile widened a bit as the other squeaked, giggled and wagged their tail. This one was certainly very friendly, very young and these small moments were making the antylamon’s heart melt from the sheer cuteness she was dealing with here. The antylamon was glad that she had been stumbled on by the young mon, with them reaching out in such a fashion they must be lost or confused about where they were at.
The antylamon tilted her head lightly as the other seemed to take in the journal for a few moments. It had brown leather bindings, which were soft and pliable to work with. A few buckles that snapped into place if you wanted to keep it closed and even had a small paper ‘title’ card that would be where you put a name or what this was for but the Antylamon had just left it blank.
The antylamon perked up a bit and shifted to take a seat next to the Jinglmon. This would be so much easier to communicate with the youth if they could read. She’d have a thoughtful look on her face and then slowly write down something before leaning to hold the journal to the Jinglmon.
I’m antylamon, it’s not my name but it’s what I am. I do mostly fishing and odd jobs around whitewater. If I got you a pencil do you think you could write?
The antylamon was sure she could share a little bit of writing back and forth with the Jinglemon. She figured that the bell was something that they needed to have in that position so she wasn’t about to just try to pry it out of their jaw. What if it was attached to their tongue or something? That would be very painful if she did that! The antylamon had a second question that she wasn’t sure if she should be asking but...
I don’t suppose your parents are around anywhere?

As the Antylamon sat down next to her, Makoto would be more than happy to hop up into her lap; tail wagging as she watched her slowly write down something on the journal once more. She was very curious about what the Antylamon might've been up to, that much was obvious; being almost like a cat in how she was trying to figure it out. As the journal was brought down to her level, though - so that she could read it - Makoto would perk up, curiously reading it all over almost immediately.
So this not-Elecmon was an... Antylamon? That sounded like a hard name to pronounce, Makoto mused to herself, tilting her head to the side briefly. She didn't totally understand what Antylamon meant by 'fishing and odd jobs', beyond the fact that fish were a food that the caretakers at the village sometimes brought for the aquatic digimon, though. She recognized Whitewater, though - that was the name of the city they were in! So Antylamon must work here!
And finally, with the question of whether Makoto could write, she would enthusiastically nod once more. Uncle Elecmon taught her lots of things, and writing was one of them! She remembered when Uncle Elecmon would even sit down with her, and teach her to write her own name; and the big smile he'd get on his face, when she started getting it right! ...
... She was starting to get a little homesick, now. Usually it wasn't so bad, when Yuko and Joker were around, but she didn't know where they were - beyond them being here in Whitewater, too...
Which would bring her to the Antylamon's next question, about parents. This would make Makoto think for a second, her brows visibly furrowing as she considered it for a second. Technically, she didn't have any actual parents, who she was born from; being a reborn digimon. Did that mean that the Elecmon and Swanmon of the Village of Beginnings were her parents? Or... Did that make Yuko and Joker her parents?
... They did take care of her, so... It made sense that they were her parents, too, right? ... Right! With that conclusion, she'd nod up to Antylamon, though would also shrug, trying to convey that they were around here; but she didn't know where they were exactly.

The antylamon shifted a bit and smiled down at Makoto; somewhat amused with the way that the other was so friendly even with a complete stranger! She knew people around here could be friendly yes but this was so refreshing! Most people were annoyed with her muteness but… She doubted that the other would be like that. She’d watch the other read as the other seemed to think over what she had written. The antylamon perked up at seeing that the other could read and write, the latter skill being something that the antylamon had to struggle with.
The large rabbit reached into her bag and pulled out a somewhat bright assortment of markers, red, blue, yellow, orange and pink! There was even purple and green too! She’d hold out the markers to the other in an offering so that they could write as the Antylamon didn’t want to ask them to remove the bell from their mouth or if they even could!
Seeing the other furrow their brow made the antylamon pause; did they not have parents? Did they need help? The antylamon felt her core jitter a bit and then she’d exhale in relief as the other seemed to have a set of parents. The nod indicating yes… with the shrug making it obvious she had no idea where they were.
The antylamon furrowed her brow a bit and looked thoughtful, she’d of course let the young mon pick which marker they wanted to use and afterwards would stow the other markers into her bag. Only to write quickly in her journal!
Well that must mean they must be looking for you! Do you remember where you last saw them? What’s your name? Are you hungry?
The antylamon would hold the journal in such a way that would let the Jinglmon write as they needed to as well as read what the other had written. The antylamon was fairly friendly if not rather worried. If the other had no idea where they were well… They’d just have to take them back to their boat right? Just up until they could find the Jinglemon’s parents or ask around a bit.
She wasn’t about this child lose their parents to the flow of the street!

As Makoto was offered the markers, she'd perk up curiously; looking over them. It seemed that she was having a hard time making up her mind, initially; there were so many colors! Makoto loved all sorts of bright and gaudy and colorful colors! She, of course, would have to pick one to write with though; and so... Thinking hard for a brief period of time, Makoto would eventually pick out the purple marker! It'd probably come as a surprise, though, for the purple marker to begin floating away from Antylamon's hand, as Makoto used her telekinesis to retrieve it...! She'd been practicing her telekinesis lots; and it seemed that practice was paying off, as she'd - with a brief bit of focus - manage to pop the cap off of the marker, and set it aside so that she could ready the marker. Reading over Antylamon's questions, Makoto would think for a second; both in noting that it had, indeed, been a little while since she last ate, as well as trying to remember the name of the card shop that she had lost them at. The name had escaped her memory, though; making her frown briefly, before she'd begin writing on the provided blank page. It was a little hard, writing with telekinesis - but as long as she went slowly, she was sure she'd be okay! 'My name is Makoto!
I was near a shop with lots and lots of cards!
And I am hungry!'Finished, she'd put the cap back on the pen like Uncle Elecmon taught her, and would smile up to Antylamon; her tail wagging still.

The antylamon tilted her head slightly as the little Jinglmon was having a tough time deciding on what marker to use. The antylamon herself had kept the black one as it was a pretty even color. That and would stand out against the others that Makoto had to choose. Once the little mon picked the purple one the large digimon would stuff the others away into her bag. The large rabbit’s eyebrows raising at seeing the purple marker float away from her.
This was the first time she had seen telekinesis, something that the mon knew existed to some extent but to see it actually… She’d reach down to rub at the top of the younger mon’s head. Managing a small supportive smile. There wasn’t much that could be said about that but she felt that the other had worked hard at this sort of thing. The motions were probably a bit sloppy in comparison to pure psychic type mons. Like that brain digimon that reminded her of humanoid aliens…
The name and answers that she was given after a little bit were what the antylamon feared. Lots of cards? There were a few shops like that and if the other was hungry... The antylamon smiling warmly down at the little jinglmon. She’d write her own responses out; figuring that it was best this way. Two ‘mute’ mons just communicating this way was fairly nice!
Well it’s a pleasure to meet you Makoto. You can just call me Antylamon. I know a few shops with lots and lots of cards. But first lets get you something to eat all right? Do you know the name of the store or just that it had cards? It’s okay if you don’t. Just that there’s about four of them around here.
The antylamon held it up to the other, giving them a soft smile again and would shift to look about where they were at. There were a few places to eat around here and she didn’t mind helping out this young mon to find their parents. She just hoped they could find them… Else the antylamon would have to take care of this little mon. It wasn’t like her to just pass up someone that needed help!
Do you know what you’d like to eat?

Makoto would tilt her head a little as she read the Antylamon's responses; seeming to be thinking it all over. So Antylamon was an Antylamon that preferred being called Antylamon? Like how the Elecmon and Swanmon at her village were Elecmon and Swanmon who preferred being called Elecmon and Swanmon? ... Okay, maybe she was thinking this through a bit more than she needed to; but point being, she understood, and would nod to herself as she read that portion over.
At the question of the shops with lots of cards, she would think again; trying to see if she'd have any better luck remembering the name of the store this time around. No dice, it seemed, though; she'd frown to herself as she scratched her head a little with the capped of the marker. "Mph..." She'd sigh around the bell; but figured that she'd just have to describe whatever else she could remember...!
'Its nice to meet you Antylamon! :D
I do not remember the store name! But I remember that its sign was brightly colored, and it had really fancy looking cards in the window!
I wanted to ask Yuko and Joker if I could get it, but then I lost sight of them and couldn't find them. :,('
She was starting to miss the two of them already, Makoto distantly realized; her tail drooping somewhat, and her expression growing saddened as she frowned around the bell. Where were they? They were surely looking for her, like nice Miss Antylamon said, but... It was still sad for her to think about, that she didn't know where they were! That she was separated from them!
The subsequent question of what she'd like to eat seemed to be enough to draw her mind away from the duo for the time being, though. She wasn't too sure what exactly she wanted - in traveling with Yuko and Joker, Makoto tended to get a variety of different foods; so the idea of trying something new to eat wasn't too scary for her! But, kids will be kids - so it likely wouldn't be too much of a surprise to Antylamon, the response that Makoto would give to that.
'I like lots of stuff! Yuko and Joker get me new food to try all the time; and I do like spicy and meaty stuff! But I also really really like anything sweet, too! :DDD!'
It would probably be a bit naughty of her, if she had only sweets for a meal; but at least she was honest about her likes..!

The antylamon blinked a few times as she watched the other read what the rabbit had written. The little nod made them smile a little bit more and she couldn’t help but shake her head slightly. It was amusing to watch younger mon interact with things, was she like that when she was still just a floating bundle of limbs?
Hearing the little muffled sigh the antylamon reached down to rub at the top of the Jinglmon’s head. She didn’t want the other to feel bad or lost. That was the worst feeling and the antylamon could relate. She had been so lost before getting used to everything around here.
That’d probably be one of two stores, the others are more for the collector types I think. We’ll still check them all out since it won’t take long to get to them. Yuko and Joker are your parents? Don’t worry Makoto, we’ll find them!
Another pat on the head and the large rabbit thought about it for a moment. Joker was probably a piedmon and… Yuko was probably their lady devimon or something. She knew those types and if they had a kid like this… Well she was probably well taken care of and would want to get back to her parents.
Then again what sort of parent lost track of their in training like this?
She really didn’t know the answer to that, she didn’t have parents nor did she really know how to do parenting herself. A small flick of her ears as she read over the next wave of information. Spicy, meaty and…. Sweet. So maybe if the antylamon brought them to one of those simple sit down places. She knew one that would fit the bill.
”Well I know a place we can go to for all of that. It’s not too long of a walk if you want?”
The antylamon held the book up for the other; she wasn’t going to ask them to pay for their part. No. They were too young to really understand the concept of money she figured, much like the antylamon who was still coming to terms with everything. She didn’t fully understand how people did things either...

The petting that Antylamon provided seemed to be appreciated, if the way that Makoto would press her head up into it would indicate anything; her tail wagging once more. She'd adjust her position a bit; taking her time to make herself comfortable, snuggling up to Antylamon on her lap by curling up against the other's torso. "Hmm..." She'd let out a more relaxed sigh; the petting helping in getting her to settle down and cheer up a bit.
As Antylamon provided her next questions and responses, though, Makoto would perk up a bit in reading them; smiling. Two stores shouldn't be too hard to check, and it was easier than four, right? Once more she had to think for a second on whether Yuko and Joker were technically her parents, though...
'Okay! I really like cards, they're really neat :D
And I think Yuko and Joker are my parents? They do take care of me, and teach me things like Uncle Elecmon did!'
Makoto's tail would once more wag from the headpat; not aware of Antylamon's train of thought, as the rabbit tried to think over who Joker and Yuko might be. Were she to ask, she'd probably be half-right in her guess, at least; but Makoto would be paying more attention to Antylamon's next question instead - reading over the writing in question, before she'd write her own response once more.
'Okay! :D
Can I ride on your head again? It's really soft and comfy up there; sort of like when I ride on Yuko's head!
You even kind of have horns like her, too, when I think about it; but Yuko says her horns are her hair.'

The antylamon shifted a bit and kept herself still for the most part. She didn’t want to upset the younger mon by moving all too much, especially if they were going to get cozy on her lap like this. The antylamon knew how it felt, she really did. In fact she was still lost and trying to find her way but… Well she wanted to help out this little one first before she thought too much about that!
The antylamon rubbed her chin thoughtfully as the other explained that she liked cards and how she thought that the other two were her parents. They took care of her and taught her things like someone named ‘Elecmon’. She had to mull over what that was exactly. She had seen Elecmon’s before but was it any of them here?
Well someone can not be your parent and still take care of you. Kinda like how I am trying to help you out now!
The antylamon chuckled to herself and shifted her weight a bit. Noting that the other had decided to write stuff down again. She wasn’t sure if they were done or not. She’d read over what they had put down. She liked riding on her head? And this yuko had hair? Or horns? The antylamon frowned slightly and then lifted the little mon up to her head. She didn’t even really need to write something out for that did she?
Well I suppose I should ask this. But what are Yuko and Joker? A Piedmon and Lady Devimon perhaps? If I’m assuming too much at least...
The antylamon slowly stood up and started walking towards where the restaurant she had in mind for this youth was. Spicy. Sweet. Meat. The latter most she was very familiar with and even if she was a rabbit well… The large being did enjoy partaking in the stuff; she wasn’t just a pure vegetable eating machine even though she could probably get by on the stuff.
