Meeting Someone New(Natane Hirayama)

The Digital World was a godsend to Natane, although they only rarely spent time there at the moment. It was an entire world populated largely by people who didn't set off her anxiety because most of them didn't look human, and it was free of the influence of her family so for once she could let her guard down. Both Lutea and Lanata were delighted by their Tamer's affection for their world, and had taken to being the ones to pick destinations for the three of them to visit. Today was the first time they were going to the Network Plains, just outside of Terminus City. The two young Digimon wanted a chance to just run around, and Natane wasn't about to begrudge them this, not when they were always so good about hiding while in the Human World. 

It would seem however, that they weren't alone in this idea, the sounds of laughter and teasing reaching their ears from somewhere close by. All it took was a turn of her head for Natane to spot a pair of Digimon and their Tamer, the two reptilian critters chasing each other happily as their amused human companion watched. Natane tugged up her mask to cover the lower half of her face, feeling the usual trickle of nerves beginning to set in as Lanata and Lutea made a beeline for the other two Digimon. She knew she needed to become acquainted with other chosen, might as well try to take a leap of faith towards a future where she wasn't so alone. 

Lanata leapt up from the grass, the Tanemon bouncing into view with her Yokomon sister a short distance behind. "Hiya! Whatcha playing? Can we play too?" 

"Hello." 

Natane approached a little bit behind her partners, trying not to fidget too much as she made her way over to the Tamer, a younger boy who looked like he might be somewhere in his teens. "Hello. I'm Natane. They're Lanata and Lutea." She wiped off her slightly sweaty palm before holding out her hand. "Do you mind if they play for a little bit, they've been cooped up for a little while." There, that sounded good, polite, and her voice had barely wavered at all!

Natane smiled a bit behind her mask at the response she got. There, easy, interacting with someone else one on one was fine! She shoved her hands in her pocket to keep from playing with her sleeves or something out of nerves, trying her best to convince herself that she wasn't feeling shy or anxious at all. "To tell you the truth, I'm very new at this. They're a lot to handle sometimes." She found that if she didn't look at Kayden and focused more on watching the Digimon running around, she felt a bit better about talking. "They're new too I think. Young anyway."

Lanata took off after Yang immediately, her little legs moving as quickly as possible as she ran and occasionally jumped through the grass, trying to cut Yang off as they all ran around. "You're going down! We're gonna get you!" She was feeling competitive, pushing herself hard to keep up with the Rookie level Digimon. "Lutea, let's trap him!"

Lutea, despite her more docile appearance, was working just as hard as her sister was to keep up, a happy gleam in her eyes as she too chased Yang around with Lanata and Yin. She didn't jump like Lanata, instead keeping her feet grounded as she tried to flank Yang. "Right." 

They came at the Black Agumon from opposite sides, trying to catch him in a pincer move. 

:Lanata laughed, scrambling over to Yang and Yin as Lutea followed closely behind. "We gotta be faster, huh?"

"Yes. Let's see if Nane can help."

"Oh! Yeah we haven't tried yet have we?" 

"Mm-mmm." 

"Nane! Nane help us out! You gotta make us Digivolve!"

Natane was startled out of her own thoughts by their voices, looking at Kayden with a raised eyebrow before heading over. "How do I do that?" 

"Digivice."

"Yeah! There should be something on your Digivice, and if you focus really hard it should work!"

Natane crouched down next to her partners as they crowded in around her, pulling her Digivice from her pocket and thumbing the controls. "Like this right?" She navigated through the menu until she found the correct option, flicking through until she got to the last two forms. "Oh, these are new. Let's try it I guess."

The two plant Digimon backed up side by side, Lanata grinning and bouncing in place while Lutea wore a small smile of her own. Natane stood and held out the Digivice. "You guys ready?"

"Yes!"

"Alright, here goes nothing. " She pressed the button to activate the function and focused, willing her partners to take their next form, hoping. Lanata and Lutea were covered in spheres of light and within them they changed. 

"Tanemon Digivolve to-"

"Yokomon Digivolve to-"

"-Palmon!"

"-Alraumon!"

The light vanished and Lanata and Lutea stood in their newly acquired Rookie forms, immediately looking themselves and each other over as Natane sat down, feeling oddly drained by the process. 

Lanata and Lutea looked at each other before nodding and taking off after the brothers, moving in and then splitting off to the sides to try and herd Yin and Yang together to limit their choices for escaping. Lanata took advantage of the vines she could extend from her hands to increase her reach a bit, snatching towards Yang every second she was able to get close enough while Lutea was focused on just moving as fast as possible with the intent of flat out tackling Yin. Lanata was laughing happily as they played, clearly enjoying the exercise while Lutea seemed much more focused, intent on catching her target. 

"Our bond...? Sounds about right for this place." Natane figured she would never stop being confused by the way Digimon and the Digital World work. "It's so weird. I only met them a week ago and I feel like I never want to lose them." She had curled in on herself a bit, wacthing as Lutea leapt into a flying tackle towards Yin. "You said you had help, how did you meet your Partners?"

Lanata made a swipe with her hands at Yang's feet, expecting him to try and jump up to avoid it, launching forward into a tackle of her own just after trying to trip up the Black Agumon.
