Wisconsin cowered in fear, backing away from the monstrosity that was Raremon in front of her. Around the Raremon laid the remains of a large number of Digimon that Wisconsin had watched the Raremon completely slaughter, its maleficent existence destroying all those that dared to oppose it - and many really did try.
Wisconsin was not too sure right off the bat what some of the other Digimon were, but she knew that they were not weak fighters. When she appeared out of nowhere, she was in the midst of a battle between the Raremon and ten Digimon that definitely seemed like trained warriors, based on their proficiency. They had the upper hand to begin with, and eventually managed to lock Raremon in place with ten well-placed spears that pierced the Raremon, and then - a final strike from one of the Digimon with its sword, and the Raremon was split in half, its body quickly melting into what seemed like excess code.
Yet, their folly came from being too quick to pronounce their opponent vanquished. As the ten warriors picked their weapons out of the ground and gathered together to discuss what it was they needed to discuss, Wisconsin watched as the Raremon began to reform from the mush that was on the ground. She tried to call out to the warriors, but her words of caution fell upon deaf ears, the warriors refusing to heed the words of something so small and insignificant.
Thus, when the warriors finally realized their mistake, it was too late - the Raremon had launched mounds of decomposing sludge at three of the warriors, and engulfed two more. Through the cacophony of screams and cries of death, pain, confusion, and anger, its was absolute anarchy. The Raremon had tossed half-digested Digimons back at their comrades, causing either fear or anger or both, and the other warriors either could not react, frozen in their place, or lashed out at the Raremon out of sheer spite. Both were mistakes. Without the original teamwork displayed by the warriors, the Raremon was easily able to take out the more haughty Digimon first, before slithering over to the remaining fear-ridden Digimon, devouring them before they could flee.
And that was that.
The Raremon then turned towards Wisconsin, making its way over. Wisconsin too, was frozen in fear, having long fallen to the ground. It tried to scoot backwards, but barely managed much ground.
Before the Raremon could come too close though, a spear of light had pierced the Raremon, and almost immediately after as it dissipated, so did the Raremon with it. This time however, the Raremon completely disappeared, leaving no traces behind, except for a face betraying fear and despair imprinted in Wisconsin's memories.
Soon enough, two Digimon landed in front of Wisconsin - an Ophanimon and a Seraphimon.
They asked her if she was alright, and Wisconsin barely managed to nod. Then the Seraphimon seemed like he was going to approach her, but before he could, a light had surrounded Wisconsin, the signature of digivolution. The ball of light that was Wisconsin grew in size and elongated, forming a humanoid shape. Then the features began to appear, and as the light faded, the expressions on the Ophanimon and Seraphimon's faces changed.
The Ophanimon raised its spear, intent to strike down Wisconsin in her new form, but the Ophanimon held him back. They argued between themselves, the Seraphimon screaming at the Ophanimon to look at Wisconsin, at the Raremon-like Digimon she had became. Wisconsin had a look at herself, and was shocked to see that she indeed resembled Raremon, but only somewhat. She... was a female Digimon, one that looked slender and felt powerful, just as she believed the Ophanimon did.
The Ophanimon had argued that they cannot strike Wisconsin down, that she was just a kid.
The Seraphimon countered that Wisconsin knew exactly what she was, that she was definitely evil.
That was when a light surrounded the Ophanimon, and she shrunk in size. A moment later, she had de-digivolved into a Gatomon. She pointed at herself as she argued with the Seraphimon, arguing that a Digivolution meant nothing. She was a small, puny creature, but she was no kid. Conversely, Wisconsin was just a moment ago a small, In-Training Digimon. More importantly, the Gatomon argued, she could see it in Wisconsin's eyes. It was not her fault that she had digivolved into something like that. Wisconsin was still just a child, no matter what she looked like.
The argument went on, until the Gatomon digivolved back into Ophanimon, and launched herself at the Seraphimon. It was not killing intent, for she dropped her spear in the process. The Seraphimon too dropped his spear, as the two grabbed a hold of each other and knocked them off their feet. Rather than falling though, their wings directed them into the air, with the Ophanimon pushing them away off somewhere else.
Wisconsin could not see where, as they had flown over a hill crest, but for a long time they she waited, and they did return.
Slowly, she gathered herself, holding on to her new body. Slowly, she turned and made her way away from the situation. Whatever happened, she no longer wanted a part of it.
