Triple Twin Trouble! (Wait, not triplets...?)

Beta definitely had a smile on her face after managing to get it right, Turning to Alpha with a triumphant fist pump. "Hey! I got it right Alpha." That totally makes up for not knowing what digimon meant, totally. Alpha just gave a nod, yes she did indeed get it right that much was true.
Apparently though Pokemon got more freedom to move around in the human world, at least in whatever thing they were referencing. Which to be fair would be interesting to see but Alpha still wasn't too interested in the human world, least for right now anyway. "Who knows, maybe it's just another huge secret to humans like digimon." Alpha doubted it but hey if apparently digimon were too crazy to exist then Pokemon probably would be as well.
With digivolution though Beta just nodded. "Yeah it's a bit hard, me and Alpha can only use our champion forms for a short while. But usually we can get stuff done before they end." Thinking on that the two of them hadn't evolved since Thunderbirdmon, maybe they should do some training with those forms.
On the aspect of parents though Ciel nodded. "Indeed, most digimon don't have families or parents growing up. I myself wandered the digital world alone for a long time. Heh I did it for so long some started calling me simply Wanderer instead of my name." She recalled quite a few teachers who used to do that, those were the days.
"That's true, It is decently sized but take out might be the best option. I'm sure they're more then capable of doing so." If she knew the owner as well as she did he'd be a little err, more then willing to help out.
"Oh, you can come over to our place! It's a big house so there's plenty of room. It's right near the gates also." Beta offered without considering anyone elses feelings on the matter, though a quick shrug from Alpha and Ciel showed they didn't mind.

Kaori and Saori got the idea that Alpha and Beta thought that Pokemon were actual creatures... that actually existed... in actual life. "Well, the thing is... Pokemon aren't real," Saori explained to the twins. "They're just AI for video games in our world... wait, you don't know what video games are... point is, they don't exist like Digimon do. They aren't... well, actually alive. It's just something that a group of people made up to entertain others and to sell things."
"I could totally see Digimon being a franchise that rivals Pokemon though," Kaori added.
"Heheheh, we're way better than those Pokemon things anyways," Flame said as he scratched his snout with a claw, despite not even knowing what a Pokemon looked like.
Beta agreed with Flame and Frost about Digivolution, saying that she and Alpha could only use their Champion forms for a little while. "We haven't been able to digivolve into our next level yet, unfortunately," Frost said.
"Well sorry that we can't figure out how to do the thing that makes you do the thing," Kaori angrily said in defense, holding her Digivice out for emphasis.
"I was not blaming you, we haven't been partnered to you and Saori for that long after all."
"I... okay, yeah, I jumped the gun there..."
While they did say that they were willing to show Kaori and Saori around the city, Beta suggested that they could go to their house which was just right by the gates. "Will there still be food?" Flame asked, earning a bonk on the head from Frost.
"We would love to visit your house," Saori politely said.
"Yeah, we can see what a Digimon prefers to have for a home," Kaori responded. "Lead the way, you three!"

They didn't seem to understand that Alpha was joking, which actually caused the Hackmon to sheepishly hide his face a bit more with his hood before muttering just loud enough for them to hear. "I was mostly just uhh, joking cause you said Digimon shouldn't be possible and.... Nevermind." His voice as noticeably quiet as he decided to have far more interest at the ground then the people in front of him.
"I thought it was funny Alpha!" Beta tried to comfort her brother but that seemed to just make him groan slightly before shaking it off deciding not to let the failed joke get him down.
Though the topic naturally shifted to evolution which elected a response from Ciel. "Evolution is a tricky thing, especially for tamers. From what I know though it responds to a need rather then a desire. If you ever tried to force it before you're ready only bad things could happen." It was best to warn them before either tried something stupid involving evolution, not that Ciel thought they would just more to air on the side of caution.
With the asking of food Ciel just nodded and let out a small laugh. "I'm afraid the home is nothing too fancy, But it is quite large. Just follow me it's right beyond the gate." With that the trio walked towards Terminus towards the entrance, after a short walk from the gate Ciel would point out a rather large white house with two windows on the front and a pretty large door, though there seemed to be a smaller door they could go through as well.
"Yes, we do get quite large guests that visit." Ciel decided to answer before anyone could ask before walking inside holding the door open for the rest. The living room was definitely large but with a noticeable lack of stuff in it, just two couches with a bookshelf that didn't have too many books and the ones it did have seemed to just be recipes.

Oh, that was supposed to be a joke? If Kaori and Saori were honest, they both thought that Alpha still believed that Pokemon were real creatures. The way Alpha sheepishly tried to hide his face even further after that broke Kaori's heart. The more energetic of the twins would walk over to Alpha and kneel down, patting his head a bit. "Hey, it's okay... we all make jokes that just kinda fall flat sometimes. Mostly Saori's. You don't gotta feel bad about it."
"At least it wasn't one of those awful jokes our dad likes to tell us," Saori added. "Flame, Frost, trust me; when you see our place, you are going to be so glad you don't have to put up with them." Ciel had a good point about not forcing evolution; bad things could happen if they tried to force it...
Ciel would laugh and nod yes in response to Flame's question about there being food, saying that the house wasn't quite that fancy. "That does not matter to us, we appreciate you letting us into your home for a bit," Gabumon would politely say to the Sistermon.
<"...wow they really are like night and day,"> Kaori whispered to Saori, referring to Flame and Frost. It was sort of hard to believe that those two were even brothers. Then again... Kaori and Saori themselves were wildly different, yet they were both clearly sisters.
Following a short walk to the house, the first thing that Kaori and Saori would notice looking up is the smaller door inside of a super large door, with Ciel stating that they do get large guests from time to time. "In our world, creatures that tall went extinct millions of years ago," Saori said before the group walked in. The living room was definitely lacking stuff at the moment, with only two couches and a bookshelf containing only a few recipe books.
"Hmmm, you guys should get some books that don't make ya hungry," Flame said as he looked through the recipe books.
"It's so big in here," Kaori said as she looked around the room. "This whole room is probably as big as our entire apartment... and not only that but half the amount of people live here!"

While Alpha felt like dying he suddenly felt something pat his head, suffice to say the Hackmon quickly backed off not used to something like that happening. "What was th-" Before he could finish though he heard Kaori's words he looked a bit away giving a small nod. "Yeah I know, don't worry I ain't upset or nothing." That was a small lie he obviously did feel upset but he was trying to pretend he didn't, might as well give it to him to let him save face at least a little bit.
With being thanked for welcoming them into her home Ciel just smiled. "The pleasure is mine, after all Alpha and Beta don't have many friends so people rarely visit." While there was a very good reason for why that didn't happen it still seemed to slightly annoy Alpha that she said it so casually.
"Hey, we have friends."
"Name one besides Coal."
Alpha thought about it for a few moments trying to think of who might consider them friends. "Well, maybe Yuji and Kazuo. Though they just seem friendly." It was hard to say who was and wasn't a friend.
"I think LJ counts right now? I mean we did fight a giant bird together. That sounds like an activity friends do." That's true, Alpha almost forgot about that Leomon X.
Though as they got to the house Ciel heard the comment about things being that large going extinct. "Ahh yes, the Dinosaur's in your world correct? Creatures in the digital world tend to even get large then that. Why there's even a massive one that a group of digimon live upon." However as she said that Ciel paused before adding. "But I'd recommend never visiting it, they don't take to humans too well." It was fair warning.
"We have more books up in our room, Reading is probably one of the few things me and Beta have fully in common."
"I also have a buncha stuffed animals Ciel got me from the human world and Ys. Oh that's a place up north." They visited it a while back round the start of their adventure.
"Well you six make yourselves comfortable, I'll go put in an order to have food delivered." With that Ciel walked off towards her room pretty much giving them free reign of the house.

"Oh! Uh, sorry about that," Kaori said, taking her hand away when Alpha visibly reacted to having his head patted like that. "It's a habit, honestly..." At least Alpha said that he wasn't upset by the ordeal, or at least he claimed not to be. "Alright, but it's okay to be upset if you are, you know? Hiding emotions won't help anyone in the end..."
Okay, so apparently Alpha and Beta didn't get many visitors because, as Ciel put it, they didn't have many friends, which the duo tried to fight against and ultimately failed at. "Hey, don't worry about it," Kaori said with a wink and a thumbs up. "Saori doesn't have that many friends, either!"
"Why did you say that like it was a good thing?" Saori asked with a huff as she crossed her arms.
"You're not entirely friendless," Frost said with a smile.
"Yeah! You got me and Frost! And I'm pretty sure Alpha and Beta wanna be your friends, too!"
"Uh... you sure about that?" Saori asked, raising an eyebrow as she looked at the cloaked dragon twins. Beta, yes, absolutely believable that she'd wanna befriend Saori, but Alpha struck her more as the forced loner type, not exactly willing to talk to anyone, let alone make friends. Saori did relate to him because of that, at least.
...OKAY, so Ciel just casually mentioned that Digimon could get even bigger than the DINOSAURS, apparently! "P-Please tell me one of the really big ones won't show up here...?" Saori asked with a not-very-hidden amount of fear in her voice.
"If one did arrive, we would be willing to risk our lives to protect you and Kaori from all that may seek to harm you," Frost said, trying to ease Saori's fear.
"Maybe I'd feel better if I wasn't taller than you," Saori bluntly replied, causing Frost to lower his head in shame.
A massive Digimon that other Digimon live on top of... that honestly sounded interesting to Kaori. Sadly, Ciel made it very clear that they hated humans and recommended that they do not go there. "Aw come on, humans aren't all bad," Kaori said with a smile. "Maybe they'd be willing to change their minds if we went there and made friends with them all!" Saori, Flame and Frost would look at her for a bit before Flame and Frost both started laughing at the sheer absurdity of that thought process. "What?! It could happen! You don't know until you try!"
Ciel invited the twins to make themselves at home while she ordered food. "Wait, pizza delivery is seriously a thing in the Digital World?" Kaori asked, almost not believing it herself.
"Ooh, pizza! I've never had it but I heard it tastes good!" Flame said with a cheer. "I can't wait for dinner!"
"Forgive him, he tends to think with his belly," Frost admitted to the group. "Granted most Digimon do, so that is not surprising to anyone, but it does get rather annoying."
Alpha mentioned how there were more books in his and Beta's room, as they both apparently enjoyed reading. "Oh really?" Saori asked. "That's similar to how music is the one thing Kaori and I have in common, that isn't visual. We like to make music videos together, with covers or original songs and then post them up onto YouTube."
"Music..." Frost repeated. "What is music?"
"You DON'T KNOW what music is?" Kaori asked with a gasp.
"Calm down, Kaori, they did live in the wild before we met them... let's see... music is a composition of various sounds, from singing to instruments being played, in a way that is very nice to listen to, and it gives you a good feeling."
"If you guys have any spare instruments we could play something for you," Kaori suggested, looking over at Alpha and Beta. "What do you guys say?"

Alpha raised a metaphorical eyebrow at what Kaori said. "It ain't really being upset I just... Nevermind it's not important." Not used to a stranger trying to comfort him, is what he wanted to say but that didn't matter right now. Plus that'd give a way a bit too much information he figured Ciel and Beta would want to keep a bit more under from such new tamers, they shouldn't know what the three of them had been through.
Though apparently Saori didn't have a lot of friends either, which did make the twins feel slightly better about their own lack of friends. "Yeah we'll be your friends, then we'll have four friends to name instead of just two maybe friends right Alpha?" Beta looked over at her brother expectantly with a smile.
To probably everyone's surprise though Alpha actually nodded. "I mean, best to see how the day goes instead of just instantly saying we're friends Beta but I don't mind. After all considering I'm with you I should probably start getting used to having others around." Alpha said with a small laugh and genuine smile, she did have a personality that seemed to attract digimon towards her, as her twin he'd best be getting used to that.
Ciel crossed her arms and thought for a moment. "I wouldn't worry, unless one of my old mentors shows up unannounced we shouldn't be getting any visitors. Besides this close to the gate if anyone tried to start anything I guarantee they'll be knocked flat like that." Ciel snapped her fingers to emphasize her point. "Even if that weren't the case I may not look it but I am quite strong, so long as you're under my roof I will guarantee your safety. You have my word on that." She may of not had any of her typical weaponry equipped while at home save for her Katana but there was an air about her as she said that, a fierceness lying underneath her.
While Ciel went upstairs to make the order she heard Kaori ask about Pizza delivery, well that was as good of a choice as any. "Mhm, with how fast some digimon are a few places have made it a challenge on themselves, 5 minute delivery or it's free. 5 years ago it was 10 minutes. He really has gotten a lot faster huh?" Ciel seemed to know who she was ordering from so that was good.
Then came to something about music. "Oh I know what music is, me and Alpha sung a song over in a place called Ys once! Though just singing cause we kinda can't play stuff with claws." Then came the question about any instruments.
"Not that I know of, might be something down in Ciel's workshop though, she has a quite the array of things down there." Alpha wasn't quite sure if it was okay for them to enter or not. But with Ciel upstairs it was the perfect time to go anyway just because!

So naturally Beta was on board with just immediately befriending the quartet, despite basically just meeting them. Kaori could definitely vibe with Beta here, the two were both the very bubbly and optimistic ones of their respective pairs. The real surprise is how Alpha agreed with her, though in a more realistic way. "I guess you were right, Flame," Saori said.
"Wait, I was? Being right feels good, I should do that more often!" Flame responded, earning a slight laugh from his brother and the Tachibanis.
When asked about the giant Digimon, Ciel responded that unless one of her old teachers showed up then they would be fine. Even if they did manage to break through, Ciel claimed herself to be very strong despite her appearance. The bit about the mentors got Frost's interest. "Your old mentors?" the Gabumon asked. "You mean the ones that taught you to fight then, right?"
"Digimon don't just know how to fight from the get-go?" Kaori asked.
"Some do, but others can learn different moves and techniques during their lifetime."
"Just like humans then..." Saori commented. "Digimon and humans are more alike than I initially thought, I'll admit.
Speaking of being more like himans, Ciel did confirm that thanks to fast Digimon food delivery was indeed a thing, to the point where they only needed five minutes to get it to someone's home. "Cut back to Tokyo where pizza delivery takes at least half an hour," Kaori said.
"And that's assuming they don't end up getting lost on the way," Saori added.
"I dunno how you humans can even get around that Tokyo place, honestly. Too many directions, all those Ward things, blah."
On the topic of music and instruments, Alpha mentioned there might be some in Ciel's workshop. "We should try looking and seeing," Kaori suggested. "Just singing is fine and all but we gotta include at least some kind of musical accompaniment along with it!"
"Can we really just go into someone's workshop, though?" Saori asked. "We should ask Ciel first."
"Ah come on, it'll be fiiiiiiiiiiine," Kaori promised. "You guys are with me, right Alpha and Beta?"

So they thought Alpha wouldn't want to be, though they didn't say it that felt a bit obvious given how his Sister always acted compared to him. "Like I said, hard to say exactly but it's not like I mind having friends. After all can't exactly do some sort of loner style with Beta waving and fighting everyone we come across." That was implied it was a possibility he might try that if Beta wasn't around.
"Yeah, Plus any friend of mine is a friend of Alpha as well! So it happens automatically." That, was not at all how friends work but from Ciel's small chuckle it seemed she was glad Beta wanted to include her brother in so many different things.
When brought up about mentors Ciel paused for a moment thinking on how to phrase this. "They taught me how to fight in their ways, which I adapted to my own combat style. I traveled the world for a long time honing and learning new skills. I was once quite famous in fact, The Wandering Sistermon master of a hundred different fighting styles. Hehe, rumors do tend to blow things out of proportions though. A hundred is quite a lot even for me." A digimon wandering around with a buncha different weapons did tend to pick up some interest, even if that interest died down for a while.
Tokyo huh. "That's where people in the human world live, right Alpha?" She beamed at her brother who gave a look of 'why are you asking me?' towards her, though nodded.
"Yeah, a place called Shibuya. I do agree a lot of it sounds complicated, though fairs fair the digital world would probably be complicated for them too, differences and all that." As for breaking, going into Ciel's workshop Alpha just nodded. "Yeah it should be fine, I mean she hasn't ever told us NOT to go in there." Pretty much Alpha was mostly just curious as to what exactly was down there and this was a great excuse if down there was trouble, Beta just nodded not at all aware of her brothers plans but just happy to go along with them.

The quartet couldn't help but all smile when they listened to Alpha and Beta. As much of a loner as Alpha seemingly wanted to be, with a sister like Beta it just wasn't plausible. That had Saori think back to all the times Kaori tried to break her out of her comfort zone and interact with others more. "To be honest," Saori said, "it's kind of similar with me and my own sister. If she wasn't around, I don't know if I'd even talk to anyone outside of my own family."
"We're like milk and cookies," Kaori said, "okay on their own, but fantastic together!"
"It's more literal with Digimon twins," Frost said. "Flame and I actually share a Digicore."
"Really?" Kaori asked, unsure how to feel about that. "That sounds like being a conjoined twin without actually being fused together..."
"...pardon?"
Ciel began to talk about her mentors, explaining how she traveled the world and learned to fight in their ways by adapting it into her own combat style. It was pretty interesting to hear about for the twins. "So if you wandered around the world and learned from a bunch of different Digimon..." Kaori began.
"Why are you here raising Alpha and Beta now?" Flame finished. "Are they their kids or somethin'?" Of course, Flame didn't know that he had just opened up a HUGE can of worms with that question.
Back to the question about Tokyo... "Well, Shibuya is only one of Tokyo's wards," Saori explained, "and Tokyo itself is only one city in the human world out of dozens upon dozens of cities, and even other countries."
As for breaking into Ciel's workshop, Alpha insisted that they were never told to not go in there. Saori sighed and crossed her arms. "Frost, I think we should stay here and keep Ciel company, just in case. What do you say?"
"It sounds fine with me, Saori."
"Alright, we'll bring up any instruments we find," Kaori said as she and Flame followed Alpha and Beta to the workshop. "Lead the way, you two!"

They seemed to have something similar to what Alpha and Beta had, though the mention of Flame talking about their digital cores being the same reminded Beta on something. "Digital, core." Beta repeated to herself, it was something having to do with her and Alpha's cores she remembered hearing, something a bit odd but she couldn't remember. "Mmh, must not be too important."
They also had no idea what conjoined twins meant, well they knew what conjoined meant so it was Beta who asked. "Is that like, two human twins doing something like a DNA evolution?" It was not, hopefully that question wouldn't be getting answered anytime soon, or maybe it will who knows.
Ciel simply nodded. "Indeed, I've been all over this world. It was quite a hard task however it helped me learn and grow, I still talk to them sometim-" It was then Ciel realized something, that it had been five years since they had actually talked to some of their old teachers. "I should really call the boss sometime." Ciel muttered to herself, mentioning a character that hadn't been introduced yet.
It was the second question that made Ciel pause, but thankfully Beta was more then willing to butt into the conversation. "Mhm, one of them was our Father Jes! Apparently he was some huge hero." Beta seemed pretty excited to share that, she seemed proud that she knew about him.
"Apparently he was known as the Red eyed hero, which uhh explains these." Alpha said motioning to their eyes, yep both completely red. "Apparently it also bleeds into our other forms too, dunno if it'd affect a Holo-suit or not." They weren't really interested in the human world so no need to buy it.
"I'm raising them because they are my kids, it only makes sense to do so. There is another reason that I'm sure the three of us would rather not get into at this time." Basically a polite way to ask them not to ask.
Now it was time for operation break into mom's workshop, which would go very well. "It's over here, right next to the stairs." Walking over to the stairs leading up was a door, Beta quickly hopped up and opened it revealing a staircase going down.
Heading down there would reveal quite the sight, it was a workshop for sure however the place seemed to be completely loaded with weapons all around, on the walls on the work table itself. Guns and Swords from many different digimon. Along with this sight was a very large black ominous looking box near the back of the large room. "I uhh, had no idea she had this many weapons." Considering the fact she only carries like two or three on her at all times this was crazy to see.

"Hm?" Frost looked over at Beta, as she appeared to be mumbling something about digital cores. "Did you say something about digital cores, Beta?"
DNA... Digivolution? The red-head girls had to admit, they were at a loss to what that actually meant. "Um... what's a DNA Digivolution?" Kaori asked as she and Saori both sweatdropped, both clueless about the subject.
"It's like when two Digimon mash together to make an even stronger Digimon," Flame answered, interlocking his claws together in the process. "They each have equal control too, so it's like they became someone new entirely!"
"Oh... then no, that's not how conjoined twins work," Kaori said. "It would be like if me and Saori were still us, but our hips were stuck together, or we had two heads but shared a body."
"Basically, it's what happens when identical twins fail to break apart in time before being born like we did," Saori said. "Trust me when I say you really don't want to know anything beyond that."
"...humans confuse me."
"Indeed."
Flame's question seemed to shock Ciel a bit before Beta answered for her, saying that they actually WERE Ciel's kids, and that her father Jes was apparently some big hero called (originally enough) the Red-Eyed Hero. Alpha even mentioned how they inherited his eyes, which bleed into all of their forms. Both Kaori and Saori got lower to get a better look at both twins' eyes. "Oh, I actually haven't noticed that before," Kaori said.
"Humans don't normally have red eyes," Saori added. "If they did, that usually means that something was wrong with them. Like their eyes were irritated or infected, it's never a good thing."
"Don't albinos have red eyes?" Kaori asked.
"I think they would have pink or violet eyes, not red," Saori answered.
While Saori and Frost would stay in the living room, perhaps chat with Ciel when she came back, Kaori and Flame would follow Alpha and Beta to the workshop, which had a door that was underneath the stairs, leading into a basement of some kind. "Ooh, never been in a basement before," Kaori said as she walked downstairs, with Flame close behind her. "We don't really have basements in Tokyo."
The workshop was... indeed a workshop, only for one key difference: the place was more loaded than a military armory. There were so many weapons everywhere, all in varying shapes and sizes. "Whoooooaaaa," Flame said in awe as he approached a pair of grey WarGreymon like claws, picking them up. "Oooh, I hope I get these when I digivolve sometime!"
"So many weapons in here... she really did have a lot of mentors, huh?" Kaori asked. She looked over at the ominous black box. Thinking that might be an instrument, or even just another weapon, she decided to approach it and try to open the black box up.

Beta's mentioning of digital cores was heard, but it really wasn't anything too important. "Nah it's nothing, we know a digimon that can see digital cores apparently, I remember them saying something weird about ours but I don't think they specified what it was." She'd remember if they did, but like she thought to herself it wasn't too important at least for now.
Alpha was going to explain what DNA evolution was but the other set of twins beat him to it, then he got to learn what conjoined twins were, which he didn't fully understand but part of him felt like if he did actually understand it would've been a lot worse then just randomly hearing a bit about it. "Yeah, don't get humans." Then suddenly the humans got pretty close to the two of them to look at them in the eyes, which made the Hackmon a bit flustered. "Bit of warning next time." Alpha muttered as he backed off.
Once Ciel came back though she would instantly notice the missing party, crossing her arms for a moment before shrugging, there wasn't anything too dangerous in the house after all. Well too dangerous for anyone with an ounce of self preservation which Ciel would hope the other set of twins would have. "Its been ordered, should be here within five, maybe four minutes." Fast pizza indeed.
Meanwhile with the other group they were lead into the workshop, which honestly surprised Alpha quite a lot. "I knew she had a lot of weapons but I didn't think it was THIS many." Just, just how many digimon has Ciel been taught by.
"I mean, makes sense when you think about it. She has been alive for like over a hundred and fifty years after all." All that time and considering how active she was, made sense given her focus on doing so.
As Kaori went towards the big black box, while she wouldn't know this part it was made of obsidian chrome digizoid, the edges of the box were slightly sharp. Pressing on the side though would cause part of the box to push backwards, almost like a puzzle that Kaori definitely would've have the solution to but would seem like the only way to open it.

"A Digimon that can see them?" Frost repeated, his curiosity was definitely aroused by this point. "I don't recall ever hearing about a Digimon that was able to do such a thing... are they one of the special ones that have been appearing recently, I wonder?"
"Special ones?" Saori asked her partner.
Frost nodded. "Essentially, some Digimon have been appearing with abilities that aren't typical for their species to have. I recall hearing of a Hawkmon that was able to charge objects with elemental properties at one point, or a Flamedramon that can read minds." Totally not an opportunity for the author to shamelessly mention their other characters, nope nope.
Alpha clearly didn't like the twin girls looking right into his eyes like that, as shown by him backing away and asking for warning next time. "Sorry, but we just had to see for ourselves," Kaori said as she and Saori backed up.
While Saori and Frost were still upstairs, Ciel came back to say that the pizza would be here in five minutes. "I'm actually really curious to see just what kind of Digimon will be bringing it to us," Saori said. "I don't think we brought it up yet, but this is our first time in the Digital World in general. We're still learning how all this... insanity works."
Meanwhile, Alpha was impressed with how many weapons Ciel had downstairs. "All these are so cool, especially these ones," Flame said, still holding onto the WarGreymon gauntlets. "Do you think Ciel will let me keep these, Kaori? ...Kaori?"
Kaori didn't respond, as she was distracted by the big black box in front of her. She was amazed at how sharp the edges on the box were... just what was this box made of, anyways? When she tried to open it up, part of the box pushed backwards in response. It must've been a puzzle! So, Kaori would push on the part that had pushed backwards, maybe this was the way that this box could be opened. Sure, Saori was better with puzzles, but this couldn't be that hard, right?

Ciel simply shrugged at the idea of them being special ones. "She's the daughter of the digimon leading the knights of rose, I imagine her abilities are quite unique given she was able to easily match Alpha's affinity for darkness when they sparred together." She decided not to mention the part where Coal totally kicked their butts, probably to at least help them save face a little.
"Any digimon could do something like that if they wish, through work and effort anything is possible. Though sometimes a lucky hand played by fate can help with those abilities as well." Though the FLamedramon that can read minds did remind, heh, her of a while back. "I've actually met that digimon you mention, he could indeed read minds but was nice enough to know when to hold back, wonder how he's doing. I still want to get a look at his power sometime, mayhap I could even copy his abilities to a degree." Psychic powers were something that'd be good to have.
Meanwhile downstairs Alpha looked over at what Flame was holding, his eyes instantly narrowed in an unsurprised manner. "Yeah, of course you'd like those." Though the part about her letting him keep them had Beta chime in with her own thoughts.
"Pretty sure they're made exclusively for her use, after all they seem like they'd only really fit on her rather then any other digimon." It was true, everything here seemed to be Ciel sized, specifically the form she was using now. Which brought the question to Beta's mind. "Actually thinking about it, I don't think I've ever seen Ciel digivolve before, lower or higher."
"Yeah she sorta just, came back one day really beat up but with the strength of an Ultimate level digimon. Wonder how she was able to pull that off." They'd have to ask her but still, important for later.
The puzzle was indeed that hard, given there was at least 5 indents she could push to make the box push backwards. Pushing it backwards would make four more pop out from the sides, if pressed in the wrong order the box would simply just reset back to its initial form. "Wonder what's inside?" Alpha asked as he smacked the side of the box, not even a scratch.
