A.J. is very intelligent when it comes to her schooling. She has a 3.8 GPA, but when it comes to street smarts, she is severely lacking. She also knows a few languages such as English, Italian(her 1st language), and German. She is very knowledgeable about different customs in cultures. Also plays guitar very well.

Weakness/es:

A.J is not very sports-minded and is rather clumsy when it comes to any physical activity. She's not unhealthy, rather just untrained and hates anything vigorous or physical. She has severe social anxiety when it comes to worrying about what people think about her. She has very weak relationship bonds because of moving so much.

Quirks:

A.J surrounds herself with pillows when she sleeps, a sort of "pillow nest." She loves white chocolate, but finds dark chocolate too bitter to her tastes. Despite traveling and experiencing so much, she prefers Italian food such as pasta and gelato. Slips some Italian phrases when speaking if she is agitated or excited

Personality:

At first glance, Avery seems quiet when meeting and interacting with people for the first. She is very polite, so polite almost to the point that there is no friendliness in her speech or actions. Some might take this as a disinterest in socialization, or they may see her as just plain cold and clipped. 

In all actuality, A.J. is very much a sweet girl with a big heart, she just keeps up a wall so she will not get close to people. As she moves around a lot, she has not been able to make many friends, and when she does bond with someone, it hurts very much to move on. This makes her a very lonely person, and she has a hard time keeping up stable relationships. 

A.J. is very reliable. When she says she will be there for you, she means it and will go through hell and high water to keep her promises. Because of this drive to please people, she is very perseverant. While this is a fantastic trait and leads to her getting things done, she is easily hurt when she feels she has not lived up to the expectations of those around her. As an aftermath to rejection of any kind, she is extremely stubborn and resolved to do whatever it takes to finish the task at hand and make people happy.

She is attentive to people's wants and needs and how they react to certain situations. Because of her travels, she has learned much about cultures and certain customs. When she visits different places, she makes sure to obey those customs as she does not want to offend anyone. She rarely makes contact until she has obtained knowledge on customary interaction. 

She has much faith in the people around her such as her father and mother, but not much faith in herself. This leads to her having a somewhat low self-esteem. She is not necessarily self-conscious about her body, but rather her personality and how people think about her. She is very much the introvert, looking inwards on herself, instead of out at the surrounding world. 

She is the best of both worlds when it comes to her personality. She has her father's methodical thinking about matters, making her very ritualized whether it be she is getting ready in the mornings or taking notes in a lecture. But she also has her mother's heart and compassion and artistic sense. However, she has retained her father's temper and impulsive behavior. She also tends to be rather indecisive and swings with whatever decision presents itself first.

A.J. stands about 5'2 in stature, a little bit on the short side for a girl her age, but this has never bothered her. She is petite, with a slight curve in her hips she has gained the last few years from developing into a young woman. A black curtain of hair flows past her shoulders to the small of her back with bangs fringing her face. Normally it is fairly straight, but it will curl in humidity. Her gray-blue eyes are wide, alert, and calculating; her nose is small, and her lips are little too thin for her taste. She wears a small layer of concealer on any breakouts, but that's about it for makeup. Her skin tone is medium in color, but because of her Italian heritage, she darkens easily in the sun. A pair of headphones are almost around her neck or on her person somewhere.



Outside of school, A.J. takes on a casual wardrobe, mostly t-shirts and jeans with a few skirts thrown in. There are times when she delves into her inner girly-girl and dresses up. She is almost always seen with her favorite shoes on, a pair of ratty converse that she has retained since 7th grade. Her parents however, do wish she would dress up more, especially for the social events they take part in.



When she visits the Digital World, her clothes change into a dark-grey tank top and jeans fastened with a belt. Boots adorn her feet and her right arm is covered with a leather sleeve that goes up to her shoulder, while the other arm is bare.

Avery Joel Cipriano was born to her Italian father Adriano Cipriano and her Swiss mother Jacqueline Montavon Cipriano on a sunny, but cold afternoon in Lyon, France. But of course a bit of back story is needed to understand...



Adriano, an Italian embassador was in Geneva, Switzerland for a conference. There, he met A.J.'s mom who was a bartender in a local dive. Classic love story, blah blah blah. They got married and she went back to Italy. Two years later, Jacqueline became pregnant. While in Lyon, France on business, Jacqueline was rushed to the hospital when her water broke.



And so Avery Joel Cipriano was born to her...well you already knew that.



Childhood;;



So, a few years later as AJ grew, it was apparent that she was very smart, making mostly A's with the occasional B, but nonetheless her parents were very proud. As she traveled, she picked up languages easily, but her favorite language was that of music. Even though her parents immersed her in various cultures and she listened to plenty of classical music, she found herself loving American rock music.



Preteen;;



A.J. continued to travel and see many places, however, because she was always on the move, she never really had the chance to settle down and make friends or date, so became a bit more withdrawn each time they had to move. She longed for the boring life of public schools and afternoon activities that she saw many children engaging in.



When A.J. was 11, her family returned to her father's hometown of Florence, Italy so he could take care of his sick mother. They stayed there for about a year and a half until her grandmother passed away from a battle with cancer. During the course of that year and a half, she was allowed to attend a private school (only the best for his snookems--as her father would say). During this time, she made a few close friends and even formed a band, where she played guitar and back-up singer.



Of course, the time came when her father's job called again and she was forced to leave these friendships behind. She became resentful of her father's job, but reluctantly kept this inside of herself. She became quiter, but channeled her loneliness into her music, even playing a few minor concerts at different dives and parks when her family traveled.



Her family supported her music because they loved her, but did urge her to go to the galas and dances that all of the different embassies held. She would force a smile, put on a frilly dress, and go on.



Teen Years/Current;;



Now at age 15, they have been relocated to Shibuya, Japan. This is the first time she has traveled to a country in Asia and is excited to learn the customs and culture, but of course, she knows that of course, soon enough she will have to move on.
