Ancient Calamities: Raging Battle in the Sky (Stacy, Gihai)

“FOOLISH WOLF, DID YOU THINK MY TITLE WAS MERELY CHOSEN OUT OF MERE NARCISSISM? I AM THE STORM KING! YOUR PATHETIC LIGHTNING IS NOTHING TO ME! ALLOW ME and my soldiers TO SHOW YOU THE TRUE POWER OF THE STORM!” ThunderOrnis exclaimed in annoyance. He was going to retaliate against Stacy, but was interrupted as FalseDukemon loudly blasted him in the chest with Rhongomyniad. ThunderBirdmon’s attention instantly switched to the golden knight, his eyes burning with pure fury at the knight’s cheap shot as he flew at the knight with his talons outstretched. “YOU DARE TO PULL SUCH A DISHONORABLE TRICK AGAINST ME?! YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR INSOLENCE! TYRANT CLAW!”
While ThunderOrnismon had been completely unaffected by SacredOkamimon’s Sacred Storm, the attack DID help to thin out the swarm of Galemons, with the sheer power of a Mega taking out 7 of the Galemons in one fell swoop. Seeing nearly half their flock knocked out at once, the remaining Galemons would keep their distance, switching to ranged attacks to avoid SacredOkamimon’s reach.
“Hurricane Slicer!” The Galemons would cry out, using their wings to bombard Stacy with sharp blades of wind.
"Frozen Punisher! I’m the one you fiends should be focusing on!" FrosVelgrmon wasn't going to leave Stacy to deal with the Galemons on her own, however, as he used his power to summon large hailstones to rain down from the raging storm above. Even though he remained focused on the battle, the mountain's guardian couldn't help but be concerned about one particular issue. I don't understand. If ThunderOrnismon has so many troops at his command, why wait until now to use them instead of overwhelming me from the beginning?
ThunderOrnismon: -Primeval Thunderbird (passive): ThunderOrnismon is able to absorb incoming electrical attacks, being healed by the electricity instead of damaged. However, they take 50% more damage from earth/stone-element attacks, which interferes with their ability to channel electricity. -Tyrant Claw: ThunderOrnismon tears into their opponent with their razor-sharp claws. 3 post cooldown, partial piercing. (0/3)
Galemons (13 remaining): -Hurricane Slicer: The Galemons use their wings to launch blades of razor-sharp wind at their opponent. partial piercing, 2 post cooldown.
FrosVelgrmon: -Frozen Punisher: FrosVelgrmon summons a localized hailstorm that bombards everything in a 50m radius with hailstones for three turns. 5 post cooldown. (duration 0/3)

"Do I think your title was chosen out of narcissism? SacredOkamimon sarcastically asked with a roll of her eyes before stating in an equally sarcastic manner "If the shoe fits oh mighty Storm King." As the annoyed Storm King was getting ready to retaliate against SacredOkamimon Gihai attacked the mighty bird angering ThunderOrnismon to the point where he lunged at the golden knight with outstretched talons. Now all SacredOkamimon had to worry about for the moment were the Galemon.
Seeing that ThunderOrnismon wasn't even slightly affected by her storm caused the wolf angel to facepalm as she said "Duh. Storm King. Which means electric moves would likely be useless as a direct attack." Taking note of the Galemon remaining she was glad at least seven of them were now out of everyone's hair so to speak.
As for the rest of the flock none of them wanted to be anywhere near SacredOkamimon and appeared to be switching tactics launching blades of winds in the holy wolf digimon's direction. However unfortunately for those birds she was not an easy digimon to target. Tapping into the Digital World's very energies SacredOkamimon said "With this power, the power of the Speed Force such a tactic won't be so easy for you Galemon. Good luck keeping pace slow pokes!" Now that she was tapping into the raw power of the Speed Force, she began zipping around the area with speeds that would make the likes of the Flash and her fellow AEGIS agent Speed proud of her. Looks like hitting her wasn't going to be so straightforward.
Meanwhile though she was only at the ultimate level Adhira the Thetismon wanted to help out but how? Then she saw FrosVelgrmon summon large hailstones raining them upon the Galemon. That's it. Now she knew how to help. While Gihai had ThunderOrnismon's attention Adhira figured she could help cut down the number of Galemon. Instead of channeling lightning, however, she began tapping into the holy power with her the power flowing into her tentacles as she took aim towards the Galemon as she said "This should do more than ruffle a few feathers! Purge of the Divine!" With that a burst of holy power shot forth from Adhira's tentacles.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OOC:
Stacy taps into the raw power of the Speed Force to evade the blades of winds summoned by the Galemon. Speed Force: Allows her to tap into the energies of the Digital World to move at speeds impossible for the human eye to follow allowing her to traverse land in mere milliseconds. (Combat Passive)

Adhira fires off the holy power of her Purge of the Divine towards the Galemon. Purge of the Divine: Channels holy power through her tentacles before she blasts it out at enemies within a 40ft. radius. (AOE move) (Cooldown of 1) Cooldown 0/1 posts.

To the knight, it was far from dishonorable. "I had taken you for a king. Are you not able to entertain some practice?" False Dukemon asked aloud, as they braced themselves with their shield, activating Final Elysium as a test of the King's offense. Claw impacted shield, and given the nature of his attack... ...A crack appeared in the strongest of shields, as the shield began to glow ominously. False Dukemon stood their ground upon Grani, before the shield shot a beam at ThunderOrnismon, point blank! "If you believe your cause just, then I, Dukemon, call upon you to DEFEND your claim with your life, Storm King!" This was very much banter, but the knight, unlawful as their very existence was, was truly testing the bird. They may not win this. But would the Ornismon be worthy of the throne that never was? Was there decorum to them to not use their troops?
Passives: Paradox [Non-Combat Passive]: Whenever this form is assumed, Bass has to roll a 1d100 over discord before writing the post in which it is assumed. Below fifty means that Gihai is not in control of this form--instead, False Dukemon themselves are in control here. Over 50, and Gihai proceeds as normal. Yes, this is an RNG move. No, it has no actual bearing on combat outside of how the character is written, and acts in this form. If False Dukemon is allowed control of the body during a mission, they hold the same awareness of the mission objectives as Gihai does.
A True Battle [RAM Upgrade - Passive]: This digimon does not care about your immunities OR passive resistances.
Hero of the Forests [Passive]: This Digimon's debuffs cannot be shortened, and any attempt to cleanse them outright require two usages of a dispelling move.
Fervor [Passive]: Once every three turns, Gihai may force a cooldown of hers to go down an additional post.
Venomous Dominion [Passive]: She just keeps doing it. She can't keep getting away with it. Every attack of Gihai's inflicts a stack that reduces her foe’s defenses by 8%, capping at 40%/5 stacks. If no stacks are added for two posts, the number begins to go down by one for every post. Also, she can only inflict one stack at a time.
Well, False Dukemon uses Final Elysium to block that attack, and since it had partial piercing? The offensive part of the technique occurs, and ThunderOrnismon is faced with a beam hitting with the force of that very attack. Also, partial piercing? Kinda fucking hurts. Final Elysium: A defense that is able to be referred to as 'supreme,' unable to be rendered null in any way. Once, every four posts, False Dukemon is able to flat out block any attack of equivalent level or below. Should this shield be nullified, a single crack appears upon the shield as a beam of energy equivalent in power to the attack that bypassed the shield will fire forth. Once per thread attacks do not trigger the latter part of this attack, but are also halved in effectiveness. Four post cooldown. Cooldowns: Rhongonmyniad - 1/4. Final Elysium - 0/4.

SacredOkamimon dodging all of the Hurricane Slicers infuriated the Galemons, but they had a more immediate issue to deal with. As Adhira unleashed her Purge of the Divine, the flock of ancient bird-dragons all rose into the air to avoid the reach of her attack. As the holy power faded, though, the Galemons could sense that Adhira was weaker than SacredOkamimon and immediately divebombed towards her in unison with their razor-sharp talons outstretched.
Nearby, as FalseDukemon’s Final Elysium was triggered, the ray of light emanating from the cracked shield seared the right side of ThunderOrnismon’s face, burning the feathers off to reveal blistered skin and an eye that was now wild and bloodshot. The Storm King was about to retaliate against the golden knight in a thunderous fury, lightning crackling along his feathers but held himself back when FalseDukemon made his challenge. The thunderbird debated the knight’s words, but ultimately refused to back down when his honor was challenged like this. “SO BE IT THEN, KNIGHT. I ACCEPT YOUR CHALLENGE. WE SHALL DUEL ONE-ON-ONE IN HONORABLE COMBAT, UNTIL ONE SIDE IS DEFEATED. IF NEITHER OF US ACHIEVES VICTORY BY DAYBREAK, THEN I SHALL TEMPORARILY WITHDRAW AND WE WILL CONTINUE THE BATTLE THE NEXT NIGHT, AND SO FORTH. IF ANY DARE TO INTERRUPT US, THEN THEY SHALL BE RIPPED ASUNDER FOR THEIR TREACHERY!”
To prove that his words were genuine, the Storm King then held out a single foot, gesturing for them to shake on the terms of the duel. Even the Galemon swarm had paused their attack to focus on their master’s words.
Galemons (13 remaining): -Raptor Talon: The Galemons tear into their foe with their razor-sharp claws. Full piercing, 3 post cooldown. -Hurricane Slicer: 1/2
-Tyrant Claw: 1/3

Things seemed to take an interesting turn as Gihai challenged ThunderOrnismon to a one-on-one duel. SacredOkamimon though unsure if the Storm King would fight honorably knew not to interfere with such a duel unless ThunderOrnismon did something far from honorable.
As for the Galemon Adhira took notice on how they not only evaded her Purge of the Divine but also dove at her talons outstretched. While keeping an eye on the diving birds she said "FrosVelgremon, it seems my attempt to fry some feathers didn't go according to plan. Now what?"
However, as the Galemon swarm then paused in there divebombing at began focusing on the words of the Storm King SacredOkamimon had taken advantage of her great speed to get ahead of the lead Galemon as her fist began vibrating at high speeds that were too fast for the eye to follow before the armor wearing wolf angel then said "Have a taste of this featherbrain! Infinite Mass Punch!" It was clear the explosive punch was going to be directed at the lead Galemon. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC:
Infinite Mass Punch: She vibrates her fist at speeds hard for the eye to follow before she tries to punch a foe with force equal to giant explosions.
Sacred Storm: Begins dashing around at high-speed channeling her holy power into lightning that surrounds her body until it shoots from her capable of hitting all foes up to 40ft. away from her. (AOE) (Cooldown 3 posts) Cooldown 2/3 posts.
Purge of the Divine: Channels holy power through her tentacles before she blasts it out at enemies within a 40ft. radius. (AOE move) (Cooldown of 1) Cooldown 1/1 posts. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ah, it was refreshing to find that even ThunderOrnismon had some bit of honor. If the False Dukemon had an emotive face, they would honestly have a ear to ear smile on their face. "Very well. You are my first opponent since my inception, but I, Dukemon, will bring my best to bear."There was joy. Even if the Knight knew nothing of their current predicament as a genuine paradox, there was at least someone out in this world who understood them. In that very moment? False Dukemon had a semblance of an idea of what they were. They were no Royal Knight. If they were, this would not be a conversation that was happening. This would be over. They were something else, and that was alright. They just needed to be them for this duel, and this duel alone. "En garde! Shield of the Just!" Grani would boost backwards as the knight hurled their shield for ThunderOrnismon--the shield itself was like a buzzsaw, and it spun quick enough to be able to rip through defenses.
Passives: Paradox [Non-Combat Passive]: Whenever this form is assumed, Bass has to roll a 1d100 over discord before writing the post in which it is assumed. The duel begins, and False Dukemon attacks with Shield of the Just to begin. It's the best frisbee throw in the Digital World. Shield of the Just: False Dukemon hurls their shield for an enemy. The shield essentially acts as a buzzsaw rather than a shield, flying at an enemy like a frisbee and dealing heavy damage if you so much as even TOUCH it. It ignores shields. Why? Because it's a shield itself. Shields are piercing, now. Four post cooldown. It will automatically return to False Dukemon's hands if someone catches it. Beware. Cooldowns: Rhongonmyniad - 2/4. Final Elysium - 1/4. Shield of the Just - 0/4.

As the Galemon descended, FrosVelgrmon quickly dived down next to Adhira and wrapped his wings around her like a barrier in order to protect her from the flock's talons. The combined talons of 12 Galemon would sting, but FrosVelgrmon would easily weather through the assault for the Thetismon's sake.
When the Galemon flock had halted their descent to listen to their Liege's speech, however, it seemed that Stacy/SacredOkamimon took the opportunity to charge in and deliver a frozen punch to the lead Galemon. The ancient bird-dragon promptly exploded upon impact, its very data scattered to the wind from the force of the Mega's blow.
Seeing Stacy take out one of the Galemon, FrosVelgrmon tried to rally his allies. "Stay together! While our knightly ally holds off ThunderOrnismon, we must continue to wear down his troops. Even a dozen Galemon can't withstand us forever!"
However, as FrosVelgrmon spoke, the Galemon began to behave erratically. They rose higher into the air and almost seemed to turn on each other, latching onto each other with their jaws and talons until they seemed to be little more than a massive ball of wings and feathers flapping amidst the icy winds and freezing hail. As the gaps between the wings and feathers began to glow, FrosVelgrmon's heart dropped as he realized what was happening. "Brace yourselves! The Galemon are digivolving!"
Indeed, as the light faded, the feathered mass uncurled to reveal, not a dozen Galemon, but a single Zephagamon that glared down upon the trio below. The Galemon flock had joined all of their power together to create a singular Mega in order to defeat their allies. Meanwhile, ThunderOrnismon was slightly disappointed when FalseDukemon didn't shake on their duel properly, but let it slide as the knight still accepted the terms. "Hm, if I am your first true opponent, then I proudly accept that honor. Let our battle be one that will be retold for generations!"
When FalseDukemon unleashed their... unorthodox Shield of the Just, ThunderOrnismon quickly dived, letting the weight of gravity pull him out of the flying shield's path. His response would be to counterattack by launching a trio of electrified feathers in FalseDukemon's direction that homed in on him as if by magnetism. "Thunder Wing!" Galemons (12 remaining) -> Zephagamon: -Raptor Talon: 1/3 -Hurricane Slicer: 2/2
-Tyrant Claw: 2/3 -Thunder Wing: ThunderOrnismon fires electrified feathers from their wings, which can somewhat home in on their target's location. 3 post cooldown, semi-homing. (0/3)
FrosVelgrmon: -Frozen Punisher: FrosVelgrmon summons a localized hailstorm that bombards everything in a 50m radius with hailstones for three turns. 5 post cooldown. (duration 2/3)

It seemed that the Storm King ThunderOrnismon was more than willing to become involved in a duel with Gihai. Ready for action Gihai came at ThunderOrnismon with her Shield of the Just by hurling it at the mighty bird. The buzzsaw like shield looked to SacredOkamimon as if it would definitely hurt if it made contact. However, the Storm King made his move to fly away dodging the shield before he countered with launching electrified feathers. Yup it seemed as if this duel was indeed gonna be a good one.
Meanwhile with Adhira and FrosVelgremon the said FrosVelgremon shielded SacredOkamimon's Thetismon sidekick by diving down next to Adhira shielding her with his wings. Though the twelve Galemon attacked him causing some pain.
As for the Galemon that SacredOkamimon attacked it seemed the wolf angel's Infinite Mass Punch struck the bird dragon with explosive force that scattered the winged creature's data to the wind. One down eleven more of those pests to go.
As for FrosVelgremon at the defeat of the one Galemon he called out telling everyone to stay together while Gihai handled ThunderOrnismon. "No problem with sticking together FrosVelgremon." Adhira said before her winged ally made notice that the deadly flock was digivolving. While watching whole process taking notice that the whole flock had changed into one single mega digimon that was now glaring upon everyone. "Of course, things only had to become trickier. Oh joy." Adhira said with a look of concern as things might have gotten harder than they appeared.
As for SacredOkamimon the wolf angel zipped at high pace flying infront of the Zephagamon in a protective pose silently showing the mega that she may be a small mega, but she was not gonna let that stop her from protecting those around her.
OOC: Sacred Storm: Begins dashing around at high-speed channeling her holy power into lightning that surrounds her body until it shoots from her capable of hitting all foes up to 40ft. away from her. (AOE) (Cooldown 3 posts) Cooldown 3/3 posts.
