Cold, hard, steel. Twenty million tons of it. Carefully designed by some of the best architects in the Digital World, and built by downtrodden Digimon, the Tera Stronghold is truly a site to behold. It is a fitting base for the Iron Imperials, the latest would-be evil faction hellbent on total domination. Humans and Digimon alike clad in black, grey, and crimson armor patrol the many halls and corridors snaking their way along the snowy mountain terrain. What force of nature possessed by man or mon could hope to overtake this impenetrable structure?
While the Iron Imperials are not the first to seek holding the fate of the Digital World in their dark hands, they are some of the most deplorable and not to be underestimated. They are infamous for their strict nature where following orders is more important than traditional morality. Piece by piece, the II conquered and captured many outlying factions of Digimon. With the Goddesses long since retreating into hiding, and the fall of the Dark Triad and their successors, the II received little opposition to their reign of terror.
While gazing upon the Tera Stronghold high up upon Terabyte Mountain, you may notice a building with large windows and a giant satellite. This is the command center, and is where the leader of the Iron Imperials typically resides. Rows of Guardromon accompany the leader of the II. It is a human with short blonde hair, green eyes, pale skin pink with acne and blemishes, wearing a black iron chest plate with long black robes with red lining. Around his head is a mechanical crown with a red lens covering his right eye. He speaks with a wheezy, angry tone, every word spoken harsher than the last. A high ranking Digimon officer salutes the leader.
"Lord Dastex, the vessel has been recovered."
A sinister smile crosses the leader's face, eyes full of sinful glee.
"Excellent! Bring her to me."
A large metal door slides open, revealing two Digimon guards escorting a human captive. The prisoner is a young teenage woman wearing a long black jacket that covers up a white and blue school uniform. Her dark hair is messy. Lord Dastex marches with purpose up to the prisoner.
"Look at me."
The young woman refuses to lock eyes with the Lord. A woman working for the Imperials interjects. She has long black hair with black and crimson armor similar to the human guards in the Stronghold, but with additional armor and markings that indicate a higher rank. The armored woman storms up to the captive and knocks her across the face with a merciless fist.
"You do as you're told, worm!" "That's enough, Blisha. This one is too valuable to harm too badly."
Blisha scoffs, then grabs the captured woman by the head and holds it back so her eyes meet with the Lord. Dastex gazes intently into her pupils, examining them. He sees a strange violet spiral flowing ever so slightly that it is hard to notice. Still, he is skeptical.
"Are you certain that this is the one we are looking for?" "Y-yes, my lord! Our agents spent months tracking her down. She was able to remain hidden for years, but I can confirm that she is the one we need." "Hu hoo hoo ha ah ha ha ha! All according to my plan. All the pieces are falling into place."
Lord Dastex turns and walks away, gazing out the large windows. He reminisces about his actions that lead to the rise of the Iron Imperials.
"It's taken a lot of work, but look at us now. We united a divided society. We slayed everyone foolish enough to get in our way. We have collected the remains of those that walk the path of darkness before us. We have their artifacts and their knowledge. To top it all off, we may just have a Goddess under our command. Our day has come. All hail the Iron Imperials!"
Lord Dastex notices something off in the distance. Up in the sky, through the snow and hail, there appears to be something approaching.
"Watch out, here we come."

Seemingly effortlessly traveling through the snow a fluffy white digimon wearing a helmet of some kind was making their way through the mountains. Anyone who looked close enough would notice that said digimon was a massive Komondomon. As one of the windows opened in the side of the large vehicular canine digimon a curious sight in the form of a red headed Asian young woman in her early twenties wearing green goggles came into sight.
Kazumi placed the goggles she typically wore on top of her head over her eyes and said "It sure is hard to see anything through all this snow. Are you sure you know where we are going, Koko?"
The Komondomon now identified as Koko nodded before they said "I am sure. Lalamon said she and Shadow have delivered medicinal herbs to some empire near here back in the days before they joined you and they gave me the directions. Don't worry too much about the snow, Kazumi, it's nothing I can't handle."
Pulling her head back into Koko and closing the window of her canine ally she looked at the small purple insect like digimon who was sitting next to her. Vemmon didn't look stressed one bit even though the group almost never saw snow. All Kazumi's other digimon partners were nestled comfortably inside her Xros Loader and were ready when needed. "You seem to be lost in thought Vemmon. Is something on your mind?"
Looking at his partner Vemmon shook his head before he said "N-No nothing in particular, Kazumi. J-Just that I think it is wild that Shadow and Lalamon h-have been out this way and probably Y-Yuki has too."
"Seeing as how Yuki has experienced three lifetimes previous to her current one, I wouldn't doubt it. Perhaps the reason she hasn't mentioned it was because it might not have been important before." Kazumi replied. She was quite used to Vemmon's mild stutter by now and so were the rest of her partners. It didn't hinder Vemmon's ability to do what needed to be done so she never thought about it. After all it was just a mild speech impediment so no biggie.

It was not uncommon to see a Digimon pass by in the distance, but the leader of the Iron Imperials did not want to take chances with his prized hostage around. Lord Dastex turns and quickly walks over to a Kukuwamon operating at a command station.
"Officer, bring up the radar and run a scan." "At once, my lord."
The Kukuwamon types away at the slick chrome and red keyword and displays the radar on a black screen.
"There appears to be two objects of note. One appears to be a beast Digimon often used as a vehicle. Perhaps just passing through. The other appears to be a metal aircraft. It's further off in the distance."
The lord focuses on the screen and ponders deeply.
"Could this be one of our own? Show me the directory for today." "Yes, my lord. There doesn't appear to be any arrivals scheduled for at least a few hours."
While Lord Dastex is bossing his underlings around safe and warm inside the Tera Stronghold, Komondomon is traveling through the mountains with Kazumi and Venmon. The harsh snow made for unfavorable traveling conditions. Koko the Komondomon is confident they can handle the snow. After stopping to look around, what appears to be music playing can be heard off in the distance. The low rumbling of a jet aircraft can be heard getting louder, and louder. The music grows louder and sounds distorted due to the speed being traveled. It sounds like an epic rock orchestra that would fit right at home with what the Shibuya track team would listen to in order to get pumped up for a big meet.
As the aircraft approaches the Komondomon, it alters its course to avoid flying too close to the Champion Digimon. Still, the rush of the air passing by could be heard and felt. Not enough to knock a Digimon off course, but enough to feel your heart rate accelerate. The vehicle appears to be a grey and red jet powered armored vehicle resembling a tank. The aircraft changes its course back towards the stronghold after passing by.
"Lord Dastex! The aircraft is heading right towards our stronghold! What could this mean?"
The lord's eyes widen, and he takes a closer look at the screen. He can see the blip on the screen moving towards them.
"No one would be foolish enough to attack us here."
The woman in heavy armor chuckles and loosens her shoulders.
"It would be self-destructive to pick a fight with us here. What are a few pests going to do?" "I don't understand their motives. Still, that is a war capable vehicle, and I want it eradicated at once! Send a squad to capture the beast Digimon. Officer, activate defense protocols, authorization code Alpha, Sigma, Sigma."
Kukuwamon activates the stronghold's outdoor security. Several iron panels open up to reveal large gun turrets. A swarm of Mechanorimon clad in dark steel plating equipped for flying are dispersed and take to the skies. Red lights flash and an alarm sounds off through most of the stronghold. Dozens of machine Digimon of varying levels assemble to guard the base. A squad of 5 Mechanorimon prepare to reach the aircraft while another squad of 5 bolt off towards Koko and her friends.
It would take a moment for the stronghold guards to reach their targets. One thing is for certain, and that is the Iron Imperials do not know much regarding those outside. The young red headed woman and the Digimon accompanying her would have no reason to believe they did anything to receive a hostile welcome from an armed squad of machine Digimon that happen to have their base nearby.
There was much speculation by many of the higher ups in the II, but it was done behind closed doors. Dastex is known to be rather impulsive, and downright cruel. Still, one most obey your superiors in the Imperials. No one dare say it to his face. However, the decision to engage the unknown Digimon nearby with aggression does not sit well with many of the higher-ranking officers in the command center. Lord Dastex did not always have his subject's respect, but he ruled them with fear.

A curious noise in the distance was heard by Koko causing the oversized rookie level Komondomon to lift their ears while slowing down a bit. Wiggling them the large white digimon picked up something. It appeared to be music. Before Kazumi or Vemmon could say anything the large canine then said "I hear what sounds like music in the distance. How odd."
Before more could be said by anyone the music grew loud enough for all of them to hear it before becoming distorted by none other than the sound of what seemed to be a jet aircraft. Almost as if speaking what was on Kazumi's mind, Vemmon stated "H-How odd. I w-would have thought one wouldn't hear jets out here g-given the environment."
The aircraft grew closer only altering course to avoid Koko causing the large digimon to feel a rush of air passing. Kazumi wasn't the only one whose heart was racing but no one had said anything. Kazumi stuck her head out Koko's window once again taking in the impressive sight of the aircraft at hand and how it resembled a tank. Curious indeed but not the strangest thing the general had seen in her travels by a long shot.
The sight of movement in the distance caught Kazumi's attention as it appeared that there were digimon heading her way by air. Sticking her head back inside Koko and closing the window Kazumi then opened Koko's door and the red head climbed out with Vemmon right behind her. Deciding to ready herself for trouble she brought out her Xros Loader and said "Upload Dorulumon, Hudiemon, Gaomon, Lalamon, BlackAeroAgumon!" Shadow the Gaomon stepped forward a bit the blind dog digimon's ears twitched as it was clear he was ready. Meanwhile Yuki the BlackAeroAgumon unfolded her curious metallic wings also ready.
Looking at the group at hand Kazumi then said, "Let's just hope that we can proceed without a fight." Then looking at Shadow and Lalamon, Kazumi said "Since you two know this area I might need your expertise."
"Of course." Shadow said with a nod.
"No problem, Kazumi. It is said the leader of the empire here is known to be impulsive but perhaps we can avoid conflict by mentioning we are delivered healing herbs." Lalamon said.

It wasn't long after the aircraft passed by Koko that the squad of Mechanorimon is dashing towards the travelers. Kazumi notices the interceptors fast approaching in the sky. She brings out her Xros Loader and uploads a squad of her own Digimon companions. The squad of five Mechanorimon reach Koko and take position to fire their guns. One of them with a red arrowhead on their shoulder speaks up, appearing to be the leader of this group.
"Halt! You are in a restricted area. We have been sent to bring you in for questioning."
Another Mech speaks up, this one with a green crossbones marking on their shoulder. It looks as though these markings are how they differentiate their ranks. The one with green markings takes note of all the Digimon brought out of the Xros Loader.
"They clearly have hostile intentions. We were told there was one intruder. They look ready for battle."
A third Mech speaks up, this one with a blue shield marking.
"Possible intruder. Though this does appear to be an ambush, we are under strict orders to bring them in."
The five mechs take up position in the air, forming a half circle with their guns drawn. It is obvious that they are operating on a hair trigger, intimidated by the posse. A fourth mech, this one with a yellow grenade marking, turns his attention to Gaomon and gives him an evil glare. One might assume this mech is a bit more unhinged. Does he have some sort of personal bias against Gaomon in general?
While one squad is dealing with Kazumi, Vemmon and the other Digimon, the other mech squad approaches the aircraft. It becomes clear that the aircraft has no intention of slowing down. The leader of this squad gives the signal, and they begin firing their machine guns. This does little to deter the vehicle, and it continues on its flight path. The mechs give chase, firing at the back of the aircraft.
Gun turrets on the aircraft fire to the rear at the mechs. It continues approaching the stronghold. Lord Dastex looks out the windows and sees the vehicle flying by. The troops on the ground and the massive turrets open fire. The aircraft drifts side to side in an attempt to avoid enemy fire. The ship returns fire with a pair of gun turrets, blasting several of the machine Digimon on the ground. The Kukuwamon officer panics.
"They are here to fight!"
Dastex grits his teeth and his legs start shaking. What was this chilling sensation he is feeling? He storms over to Kukuwamon and grabs his chair, tossing him out of the way and commandeering the command desk.
"You don't have a clue what you are doing. I'll handle this! I want that ship obliterated."
More Digimon begin emerging from different parts of the stronghold. The airship receives a terrifying amount of firepower, but it stays in the air. After it passes over near the center of the stronghold, it turns sharply and circles back. The aircraft begins dropping small bombs upon the stronghold, blasting lots of the ever-increasing amount of troops on the ground and some turrets to smithereens.
Lord Dastex brings up several security cameras on the screen. They witness the brutal carnage going on outside. The young woman captured by the Iron Imperials watches on. Blisha the enforcer is enraged seeing her comrades fall. Some of the bombs target oil tanks around the stronghold, creating a massive series of explosions. A fog of dark smoke fills the sky above.
Dastex roars with anger as he struggles to see through the smoke. The aircraft slows down and rotates in place. It aims itself towards two large bay doors. It jets forward, picking up speed. The aircraft slams into the bay doors, bashing into the thick steel and breaking through. The high ranking Digimon who provided Dastex with information is stunned by the sheer aggression.
"They've broken into our hanger!" "Who is this maniac?!"

As the head Mechanorimon sporting a red arrowhead on their shoulder spoke up ordering for the group to halt due to being in a restricted area as well as their intent to bring Kazumi's group in for questioning said general looked at her group worried as while her partners weren't being aggressive, they merely were wary. This was when Lalamon raised one of her short, tiny arms as if signaling the group that she was going to try something caused Kazumi's other partners to remain where they were so as to not come off as intentionally threatening.
Then Lalamon slowly floated a bit closer with the only digimon who moved was the blind Gaomon known as Shadow. Upon being a bit infront of the group with Shadow standing next to her like a bodyguard with his arms crossed and face neutral Lalamon then said "Easy there, friends. We mean no one any harm. We merely have only come to these parts to deliver herbal medicine. Nothing more."
Stepping forward a bit when two other Mechanorimon were talking the three hundred fifty-six-year-old BlackAeroAgumon named Yuki said "These younger ones speak the truth and mean no one here any harm. Judging by what you're discussing I have a feeling you all are dealing with something far more troubling than a group of travelers delivering medicine."
Shadow, though blind, had his head turn towards the fourth mech as if getting the vibe that particular Mechanorimon had something against maybe not him but Gaomon in general. He kept his place alongside Lalamon still looking very much like a bodyguard.
"I hope they calm down." Hudiemon said the graceful looking digimon self-consciously moving slightly closer to Dorulumon who was somehow calm though she didn't know how the handsome canine could keep his cool in this situation.

No one knew what would come of this standoff between Kazumi's party and the mech squad. It is Lalamon who eases the tension. She explains that they are simply delivering medicine. The eldest of the group, Yuki, supports Lalamon's statement. The BlackAeroAgumon mentions that the mechs have something far more concerning to deal with. The mechs look puzzled. The green crossbones mech addresses the red leader.
"They appear to be telling the truth. Should we still bring them in?" "You are the one who got scared and wanted to engage. We were given direct orders to bring them in for questioning."
Explosions can be heard coming back from the Tera Stronghold. The Mechanorimon can feel their plating vibrate. The red leader radios the base, but there is so much chaos that the call goes ignored.
"I don't believe this group is associated with the aircraft. Please excuse the intrusion. Return to base, squad." "It's going to be your bolts in the scrapheap if we get in trouble for defying orders."
Lalamon and Hudiemon in particular appeared quite concerned and not in favor of any needless violence. The fifth mech, one bearing a purple eagle head marking, speaks up in a more calm, enlightened voice.
"Part of being a good officer is understanding intention. If these civilians mean no harm, then we don't have to worry about clearing them." The reasonable mech turns to Yuki. "I advise you make your time in this area sparse. Our leader may be strong, but he is unwelcoming."
Four of the five mechs have lowered their guns. The yellow grenade mark mech still appears ready to fire, but soon stands down. Unaware that the Gaomon guarding Lalamon is blind, the mech continues to focus on Shadow the Gaomon. The other mechs pay no mind to this bizarre fixation. It's almost as though they have grown used to this mech's aggressive behavior. The mech also stares daggers at the calm Dorulumon.
As the Mechanorimon squad gets ready to return to base, their mission failed, but ultimately a favorable result, the yellow mark mech makes it clear they do not want to leave. The purple mark mech places a hand on yellow's shoulder as though to gently insist he follow. The five mechs turn and fly towards the stronghold as smoke and explosions fill up the horizon.
Having narrowly avoided a shootout, what would Kazumi, Koko, and the others do now? Would they shrug off the hostile reaction and continue on their journey? Are the explosions enticing enough to investigate further and risk provoking the Imperials? Did they know the motives of this new faction quickly expanding into new territories?
Lord Drastex watches the monitors intensely. He switches to a camera inside the hanger. The aircraft has landed, and it is badly damaged from the gunfire and bashing into the bay doors. It would take a great amount of repairs before the vehicle is fully operational. At best, it could fly away slowly, but certainly not take much more punishment without collapsing like a tin can.
Everyone in the command center eagerly watches the monitors. They can see the aircraft's hatch open slowly as a gust of steam sprays out on either side. The command desk starts making a rapid beeping noise. Drastex doesn't know what it means, so Kukuwamon takes a closer look.
"We're getting a huge data signal. It's overwhelming the sensors! It appears to be Virus type energy." "Can you tell how strong it is?" "At least Mega level. Maybe, maybe even Super Mega."
Lord Drastex is shocked. Megas were a huge concern, and any time the Imperials dealt with one, they had done their research and taken every advantage given to have the best odds. Now, here is a terrifying high level that has made their way into their precious stronghold. As the steam settles, a tall figure wearing a red cloak emerges.
"Showtime."

Kazumi looked on concerned at the standoff before the efforts of both Lalamon and Yuki managed to convince the group of Mechanorimon that she and her army meant no harm. However both Kazumi and Vemmon were taking notice of how one of the mechs were staring at Shadow and then also Dorulumon. Did this Mechanorimon have some issue with canine digimon? Then again if that were the case why weren't they seemingly bothered by Koko? Kazumi shook her head and decided to ponder that later.
"If you folks are concerned with getting in trouble with your leader than maybe we can meet with them to explain that we mean none of you any harm. Maybe then they will feel a bit calmer. After all not all strangers passing through mean harm." Yuki said her voice sounding filled with wisdom only possible due to the fact that she remembered all of her previous lives using said gathered knowledge to her advantage.
"E-Excuse me?" Vemmon piped up as he continued "N-Not to be rude but do one of you folks h-have an issue with canine digimon? I n-noticed that one of you have been glaring at both Shadow and Dorulumon." Four of the five mechs have lowered their guns.

As the Mechanorimon get ready to leave, Yuki offers to meet with the Imperial leader to explain that they pose no threat and are just passing through. The red leader is happily surprised that they would be willing to return peacefully.
"Oh. Then yes, please let us escort you to our leader. I don't know what's going on back at base, but I know our boss ordered our squad to bring you in and another squad to demolish the aircraft."
Before Kazumi's army would be going anywhere with the mech squad, there is the matter of the hostile yellow mark mech. Vemmon nervously asks if one of the mechs has an issue with canine Digimon. There is a moment of awkward silence. The green mark mech is noticeably uncomfortable. The yellow mark gets really angry and grunts at the party of Digimon.
"You'll have to excuse yellow, here. There's some personal history there." The yellow mech is finally drawn into speaking. "I didn't say I have a problem with canine Digimon! I just don't trust the way those two look. Red leader, I wouldn't trust any of these Digimon." "Fall in line, yellow! I won't have a loose cannon like you blow this mission."
What's strange is how this squad could be so different from one another. Clearly, the Iron Imperials have a thing or two to learn about teambuilding exercises. It is still unclear why exactly yellow singled out two of the canine Digimon. He had probably never met either before. Even odder, yellow has an issue with the way a blind Digimon is looking. Maybe the builders left out a few screws. There was little trust to be found between the two sides, but they could freely fly to the stronghold to explain their presence to the II leader.
Lord Dastex watches the monitors in fear as the cloaked figure struts down the loading ramp of the aircraft. The figure turns and raises a Digivice that deconstructs the ship down for easy storage in the Digivice. With face obscured, the cloaked figure marches towards the entrance to the stronghold from the hangar. Blisha is unimpressed.
"One Digimon, big deal! We have a whole army."
The cloaked figure turns around the corner and is met by a squad of TinkerGuilmon, machine Digimon designed to resemble BlackGuilmon, but with several mechanical upgrades. The commander of the grunts at the other end of a wide hall shouts the order to attack. The TinkerGuilmon raise their guns and take aim. The cloaked figure moves his hand to the side, revealing dark leather armor beneath the red cloak. The figure draws out a jet-black medieval sword.
"This fool brought a sword to a gunfight. Clearly, they don't know what they are up against."
The grunts fire their guns at the figure, who dashes forward and slashes at the two grunts in front. Before they realize it, the figure has already jumped to the left side of the hall. As they turn their weapons in that direction, the target is already gone. He reappears behind one of the grunts and slices it in two diagonally. The grunts turn and face the figure. He does a back handstand and swings his sword up as his feet return to the ground, creating a blast wave that launches three more grunts down the hall towards the hangar.
Kukuwamon: "Um, my lord? Permission to worry?"
The figure approaches another grunt, who panics and starts rapid firing his guns. The figure bolts from side to side so quickly that the bullets pass by as if he is nothing more than a vision. Without warning, the figure darts forward with his sword pointed in front of him, piercing the grunt right through the chest. The figure rotates the blade and severs the grunt in two. The figure grabs a hold of the top part of the bot and throws it at another, causing a minor explosion that takes out the grunt.
The young woman held captive in the command center watches on, her eyes wide and hopeful. Who is this warrior, and are they a hero, or a villain?

The lead Mechanorimon let Kazumi and her partners know that they would escort them to their leader. Nodding Kazumi glanced at Koko before she climbed inside the massive digimon. Shadow, Lalamon, and Dorulumon also climbed inside the large vehicular dog. Then Hudiemon and Yuki flew up landing on the top of Koko. Yuki then said "Feel free to lead the way. We will follow right behind."
The last one to board was Vemmon and upon hearing that Yellow had some issues the bug digimon then said "D-Don't worry about Shadow and Dorulumon. T-They may be fighters, but t-they are normally pretty easy going and wouldn't p-pick a fight normally unless provoked first."
Closing the door behind him Vemmon took his seat next to Kazumi. Meanwhile Hudiemon from her perch ontop of Koko said "Vemmon is a sweet little guy, but he tells the truth. Ever since I met Kazumi, I have come to learn how loyal and honorable both Dorulumon and Shadow are."
Meanwhile from within Koko a thought came to Kazumi as the red head said "Why am I getting the feeling we are heading right into trouble? It is as if something more is going on and it is not due to being suspicious of those digimon who are guiding us."
"You aren't the only one getting the feeling something is amiss. I think that is a feeling that has passed to us all." Dorulumon said looking out one of Koko's windows.

Vemmon eases yellow's concerns about Shadow and Dorulumon. Even the blue bot thought it was sweet. Maybe they could change yellow's opinions by how they act. Hudiemon and Yuki ride on top of Koko, while Kazumi and the other Digimon ride inside Koko. The squad escorts Koko towards the Tera Stronghold. As they approach, the sky is filled with a heavy fog. It was hard to see, but red leader can see several fires and destroyed turrets down below.
"The entrance is around here somewhere, but I can't make it out through this blasted smoke!" "Anyone got any ideas how to clear this up a little?" "I believe we lack the ability. Maybe a strong wind or super vision would work. What do you think, green?" "Where is that numbskull, anyway?"
The green marked mech had gotten a little lost along the way. Though blue didn't seem to mind. Maybe one of the Digimon they are taking to Dastex has an ability to help the Mechanorimon squad find the entrance.
"Hello? Are you guys there?"
While Dastex did not know one of his squads dispatched was somehow accomplishing their task in spite of dysfunction in the squad, the stylish leader of the II isn't too happy with the other squad. Each bot destroyed by this mysterious stranger made his frustration grow.
The cloaked figure continues slicing through the shiny new Imperial tinker toys. He throws his sword and pierces a grunt in the chest. He dashes towards another one and slides on the ground between the grunt's legs. He springs up and grabs the grunt in a rear naked chokehold, snapping its head off. The grunt leader is getting desperate. He fires a grenade launcher that detonates right on the shoulder of the figure. The explosion knocks him to his knees and exposes some of his armor through a hole in the cloak. Blisha is pleased and punches the air in celebration.
"Whoah yeah! Not so tough now, are you?" "He can't hear you."
As the figure rises, two of the grunts grab a hold of his arms. The figure brings his arms together and smashes the grunts into each other before knocking them both down with a leg sweep. Only the leader is left. The figure casually strolls over to pull his sword out of a destroyed bot, then turns and starts marching towards the leader. Panicking, the leader turns tail and runs. The figure fazes into the floor and reappears in front of the grunt leader at the end of the hallway.
The grunt leader's legs quiver as he stares down the blade. The figure draws the blade back, but instead of striking, he simply reaches his hand forward and flicks the bot on the nose, sending his head back with enough force to snap it off. The cloaked one wipes some oil off his blade with his cloak, then sheaths his blade and enters an elevator nearby. Dastex is furious. He grabs the human officer by the shoulders and shakes him in anger.
"Do you know how expensive those TinkerGuilmon bots were?!" "Ahh! Please don't hurt me, my lord. Hail the Iron Imperials!" "What did you expect? Those bots were basically low tier champion strength. If you said that thing is a Mega, we need a Mega." "But, you don't mean..." "You are right, for once, Blisha. Rock beats rock, fight fire with fire, iron sharpens iron. Fire up our ace in the hole. It will take time, but we still have many more battalions."

Yuki noticed that Vemmon was at least successful in calming Yellow down somewhat, but she knew one wrong move and Yellow would be combative, so it was best they be careful in how they handle things from this point on. As the Mechanorimon squad led Koko the group soon came across smoke. It seemed none of the Mechanorimon had an ability to clear the smoke.
This didn't seem much of a problem as Shadow climbed onto the top of Koko. Sure his sense of smell wasn't much help but fortunately he had his ability Sight Beyond Sight. Waving to the Mechanorimon squad he said "I can sense the entrance. Koko stop right here." When Koko stopped Shadow jumped to the ground.
Shadow walked along with Koko right behind before he pointed and exclaimed "There! The entrance we are seeking is over there!"
"Too bad we don't know if Dorulumon's drill tail will blow away the smoke or not." Hudiemon said as her wings twitched.
OOC: Sight Beyond Sight: Since he is blind, he is immune to blinding attacks. His senses are sharper making it seem like he can see. (Passive Ability)

To yellow's surprise, it was Shadow the blind Gaomon who is able to assist them in finding the entrance through the smoke. The Digimon uses his senses to locate the entrance and calls for Koko to stop. The four mechs follow the sound of Shadow's voice to land on the ground. The smoke is less dense near the ground, and it is much easier to see their surroundings.
"That is the entrance. Great job, ugh, Shadow, was it?"
Purple nudges yellow on the arm as if to tease him. The same Digimon yellow had found hard to trust and given an unjustified hard time is the one helping them do their job. Yellow groans as he exhales steam from his joints.
"Whatever, big deal. Where's green?"
Red lets out a high-pitched whistle. Green hears it and comes flying over to the others, crashing into blue and knocking him down.
"Watch it, you overgrown toaster!"
Purple bows politely towards Koko and raises his arm towards the entrance. There is a large metal door with a red alarm light flashing above. The door opens up as red approaches, and inside is a large room that resembles a combination between a motorcycle club garage and a hospital waiting room. This looks like a good place for the machine Digimon to work on repairs. There are several benches to sit on, vending machines, and a big screen behind a service desk.
Several machine Digimon are running around, bringing injured machines in for repair. The scene is madness as alarms blast, fires spread, and Digimon working for Dastex panic. Red approaches a Nanomon working at the desk.
"We have returned with the Digimon for questioning. Can you alert the lord?" "There's a lot going on right now. Is this really the time?" Blue interjects. "An order is an order, so ring him up at once!"
Nanomon calls up the command center.
"My lord, one of the squads returned with their target for questioning." "Good, maybe someone can explain what this is all about."
Lord Dastex turns his attention back to the intruder. Two rows of large black metal Digimon are lined up with their cannons facing the elevator. Dastex looks at the elevator camera, but no one is there. The elevator reaches the floor and the doors open, but there is no sign of the cloaked intruder. One by one, the lights above the hallway burst, with only a light further behind them illuminating the area. A rounded shadow stretches over the middle of the hallway.
One of the machines notices the shadow and turns around. The cloaked figure is standing there with his sword sheathed. He reaches his hand out and a huge blast of energy rushes out, launching the machine Digimon down the hallway and knocking them down. Lord Dastex is beside himself with frustration.
"Who is this guy?! Officer, I want any relevant files brought up. Blisha, escort the prisoner to the brig. I will go meet with the Mech squad and the Digimon they brought in."

When Red addressed Shadow the blind Gaomon nodded and said, "Yes that is my name."
"Shadow had the job of Lalamon's bodyguard before they joined Kazumi." Hudiemon said.
Green seemed clumsy as they crashed into Blue. Meanwhile Purple bowed politely to Koko guiding them to a large metal door. It seemed like they reached the entrance and as the group entered Kazumi took notice of how it resembled a motorcycle club garage and hospital waiting room. Koko scooted over to the side of the room where they would be out of the way of everyone while the rest of Kazumi's ranks settled on some of the benches with Kazumi sitting next to Vemmon who was sitting on one of the benches near a vending machine.
Sitting on Kazumi's other side was Yuki and the BlackAeroAgumon folded her metallic wings as she sat before, she said, "I am getting the feeling that something just isn't right around here but let's try not to attract trouble for the time being."
"I agree with you there, Yuki. So, let's keep it cool for the time being." Kazumi said and her partners nodded silently in agreement.

Apparently, Shadow the Gaomon had served as Lalamon's bodyguard before they met Kazumi. It was clear to the mech squad that this group they had been sent to collect had much combat experience. Shadow proved himself quite capable by finding the way through the smoke when the mechs couldn't. Maybe yellow was right to be so intimidated. If the others felt the same way, they were certainly not showing it quite as the aggressive mech is.
The other machine Digimon didn't seem to pay these outsiders much attention. They were too busy scrambling either preparing defenses or recovering comrades that were reduced to little more than scrap metal to pay Koko and the others much attention beyond the passing stare. One might notice that there are quite a few Humans working here as well, unusual considering this is the Digital World, and a fairly remote and dangerous location at that.
It wasn't long until Lord Dastex arrives to speak with Kazumi's party. Two sliding doors on the left side of the wall opposite the entrance open up. The lord is accompanied by two armored guards. It is unclear whether they are Digimon or Humans, but their heavy black armored suits gave the impression of skilled warriors that would not be brought down easily once provoked. Dastex paces over towards the Digimon and examines them with a focused glance.
"So, you are the ones who were spotted nearby a hostile ship. First off, welcome to the Tera Stronghold. I am Lord Dastex, hail the Iron Imperials!" "Hail the Iron Imperials!" "It's a shame we didn't know we'd have company today. We are in the middle of redecorating. Oh, that and the intruder."
Blue bonks green on the back of his head. Dastex looks none too pleased. The lord takes a moment to look at Koko and Hudiemon, then turns his attention to Kazumi.
"This is quite the impressive group you have assembled. Tell me, what are your intentions in the area, and do you have anything to do with that blasted ship that sent dozens of my servants to the scrap yard?"
Meanwhile, Blisha has escorted the prisoner to the brig. She drags her by the arm and tosses her into a cell before scanning a key card and sealing the prisoner behind a force field.
"You're not going anywhere!" "Please, tell me, what do you want with me?" "Lord Dastex has big plans for you. He will harness your power to take the Iron Imperials to new heights." "I don't have any power. I'm just an ordinary teenager. Please, I just want to go home!"
"Well, you seem pretty pathetic to me, but there must be a good reason Lord Dastex captured you. Now that you are nice and secure, I'm going to go deal with whoever is sticking their nose in Imperial business. If you give me any more trouble, I'll knock the last breath out of you. And that goes for anyone who challenges us. Hail the Iron Imperials!"
A loud metallic rumbling can be heard echoing through the iron walls of the stronghold. A huge explosion goes off somewhere in the base that shakes the brig. Blisha stumbles over and falls on the ground. Irritated, she rises up and brushes her hair out of her face.
"Serves you right. How can you be so cruel?" "Shut up! What do you know? Probably just some dumb kid spoiled by your parents." "I, I don't have any parents." "Oh, sounds nice. We will continue this little chat later."
Blisha storms off in search of the intruder.
