Blue haired girl walked down the road back to her house while listening to her MP3... Soon she'll be a third grader, then... most likely she'll have to choose university again. Should she go back to Florida after this, or should she stay? Honestly, while she's not as attached to this city compared to her hometown, it's still a nice place to be. But sadly, she haven't find any individual that seem to be... more than just a friend. No, she don't need the romantic kind, those are for girls who seem to dreamily imagines about perfect prince... She'll be content with just friends.
Boy or girl, she don't care. She just want something more than just your average person. Nanami sighed. Behind her, the sun already set. She's keen on killing some time by doing something more than just walking back home like this. It felt like a monotone chore. She prefers a dynamic on her life... a dynamic that sadly not really there. Hanging out with friends is always the same thing everyday...

Yet another day in the human world. The weirdest place UFADO could think of and there he was, ready to try and find a human that could finnaly clarify his questions about the perfect heart. It was fact, UFADO had grown accostumoned to the human world's trees they felt so much more...complex than the ones from the digital world, like somehow the biology swap made them into beings that could challege his sistems. Still, trees were far from being more than a covinient place to stay when UFADO didn't want humans to see him.
UFADO spotted this girl soaking the road listening to "music" a sequence of irregular vibrations that humans seemed to enjoy. UFADO was curious and since he was going bored, he thought he'd ask about it.
"Greetings!" UFADO said from the tree, letting out a hand to wave at the human girl "I wish to ask you about your taste for hum..."music". I was always intrigued as to why anyone can have any joy with such irregular vibrations in the air." |

Her mind is playing like a game, updating herself with all unneeded system. Why? How? Is she dreaming? No, wait, her mind told her it's not tricks at all. Did she somehow hit her head somewhere and and in return somehow having illusion of this monster thingy on tree above... talking to her? No, that's not it... for now, let's accept that this monster is real. However, if he's real then... what's the merit in running away? Isn't this guy that guy that she hoped would 'rock' her monotone life? Now like water that has gained a momentum from the fallen rock, Nanami's brain worked quickly to answer the... strange things' inquiry.
"...Well, hello there," Nanami smiled slightly. "What you called irregular is not so irregular to me. Human have affinity for this kind of thing... it's called music. Music have their own set rules, but most of the stuff in it could also create harmony... of course, there are some that called some dissonance music, too... Either way, it's just matter of taste, like eating. In the difference, music feeds your mental while food feeds your body as whole."

Society Hill... one of the richest places in the entire city of Tokio, the number of incredibly big houses standing there was impressive, to say the least. The roads and sidewalks were impolute, as if they had recieved special treatment due to the part of the population that made a home of that area. Tatsuya was not one of them, however.
That day, he had promised Dorimon to take him to the restaurant they had previously been in with Antonio and Henrique. As soon as he mentioned the Fetuccini pasta, his Digimon had started drooling, his eyes resembling the pleasure he had experimented when he first eat that delicious food. Afterwards, of course, the Digital Monster said a single word amidst his drooling. -Mmmm... Fetuckino...
Thus, he had quickly picked up his backpack, hid Dorimon in it, and began his walk to the italian-themed place. He couldn't know that decision would spark a reencounter with someone he had met during his travels. Of course, he was oblivious to this, and just moved across the streets while he listened to music with his new headphones.
As he hummed the melody that filled his ears, his eyes glanced around, only to find a figure that he had met just a few days before sitting on a tree branch. -"UFADO? What is he up to now? Specially... why is he talking to that girl? I guess I should go before things go nuts" -he thought, directing his steps into that direction.
In a matter of seconds, he was just a few metres away from the awkward scene, he looked at the Digimon in a serious way. It wouldn't do to pretend and convince the girl that the creature was just a cosplaying mad-man, so he decided to keep it short and clear.
-Hey, UFADO, how's everything? I hope nothing is going on here... -he said, and turned to the girl. She seemed a foreigner, just as himself, so he decided he would speak in English for the time being. As friendly as he always was, he warmly smiled and introduced himself to the girl. -Is he bothering you...? Well, guess I'm not the most indicated one to say that when I just approached without warning. I'm Tatsuya, Tatsuya Kazan -he said, warmly smiling to the female. She seemed to be around his age, more or less. Maybe they would be peers in college? He didn't know yet.

UFADO came down of the tree, as the girl hadn`t run. His tail removed a few branches doing the jump, causing them to land in the road at the same time he did. His left eye could see the girl seemed somewhat scared, but at the same time, she wasn`t going away. "Bravery." UFADO commented as he turned to face the human, his front eye staring directly at her and his bottom eye watching his feet avoiding stepping on the fallen branches. "It always prove to be interesting, especially on humans. And when I said "irregular" I ment they are variable, chaotic not only strange. You cannot deny that the "music" isn`t always the exact same tone. Besides, if it calms you or if you find it enjoyable, then it is another one of your tastes which I find impossible to understand. And as for feeding your mental...maybe you can use usefull things to fill it, like the sequence matching, which I believe you call "maths". When you live in a world with digital creatures you should always be able to catalog numbers. Now, if you`ll excuse me for a moment..." UFADO turned to Tatsuya who was running in their direction. UFADO had spotted the boy a bit ago, wiht his back eye and so wasn`t exactly suprised when he called his name. "I am fine, Tatsuya, I was simply curious once more, though I`d say the girls a bit scared of my sight. Don`t worry, she`s brave, in fact she just answered my questions on this "music" of yours. And I must say, she ws quite good at it." UFADO turned back to the girl as Tatsuya introduced himself "And I am UFADO, and the creature in Tatsuya`s bag is called Dorimon at the moment. What is your name?" |

"But, UFADO...san, is that the correct honorifics that you perhaps can accept? Back to the topic, that's the fun of the music. You cannot have same tone for everything... that's boring! Music creates different sound that somehow will stir your heart... of course, I have no idea if your species could understand it, but this is the acceptable explanation in my case. To be frank, if everything is the same, then there will be no chemistry. Attempt to reach harmony at its best, I say," Nanami tried to reason. "Plus, thinking requires energy, math requires you to think... as much as it's interesting sometimes, human prefers to digest something that readily available for them without thinking about them. Perhaps for you it's sound that human is cheap, but this is just how I think why people prefers to hear music. And like I said before, as if food, music tastes also depends on the person..."
Nanami was about to continue when suddenly she saw... someone really familiar. Her eyes blinked rapidly when the boy just came to her rescue. She's not exactly damsel in distress or someone who would fall in love immediately with a dashing guy (who honestly she thinks really cute even until now), but...
"TATS!" with drop of hat, the blue haired girl exclaimed, pointing at the boy with half surprised, half glee expression. "Wow, who thought we'll met here!? Ah... ah, maybe you don't recall it's me with this kind of blue hair... errmm... this double as an introduction for UFADO, so... I'm Mukaido Nanami... So, so, how is it going, big guy? Geez, you sure got taller and all..." in display of great familiarity, the girl playfully aimed a punch at the older boy's arm. "Did you attend college here now?"
However, at UFADO's strange pointing of something called Dorimon, Nanami just tilted her head. "...What do you mean, UFADO-san?" her tone goes back to the usual cool self. "...It's almost like there's something... some world I'm not aware of..."
Little did she know, this is the start of a symphony... hers, with a dear partner.

Still looking at UFADO, the digimon revealed that he had no intentions of doing anything wrong. -I am fine, Tatsuya, I was simply curious once more, though I`d say the girls a bit scared of my sight. Tatsuya was taken aback when he mentioned that Dorimon was in his bag. That wasn't something he could go telling everyone, but... now that she had seen UFADO, he guessed there was no harm in it.
The surprises didn't end there, either. As he introduced himself to the girl, her face's expression suddenly changed and happily addressed him. -TATS! -was the first word she spoke. Since when were Japanese people so open towards a stranger? -Wow, who thought we'll met here!? Ah... ah, maybe you don't recall it's me with this kind of blue hair... errmm... this double as an introduction for UFADO, so... I'm Mukaido Nanami... So, so, how is it going, big guy? Geez, you sure got taller and all... -she rapidly said, and punched him slightly on the arm.
Okay, that was wierd. Maybe he had met his match in terms of sudden familiarity? Well, that would be pleasant. But it seemed that, somehow, the girl did know him from before, since she said that she wouldn't recall her with her hair dyed. The teen shrugged the thought off, and half-smiled. -Well, I'm gonna start college in two weeks or so, so yeah, you are right. Still, can I make you a quick question? -he said, and prepared to speak again.
After a slight pause, his mouth opened again. -You say that I've grown, that I wouldn't recall you with the hair... So, my question is... are we supposed to have met before? Because I'm pretty sure I don't know anyone named Nanami in my entire life -the teen said, without knowing he'd probably regret it a few seconds later.

UFADO heard the explanation for the "music" liking, and was intrigued. Indeed the human neural sistem was far behind UFADO's systems, which ment that maybe they could only spent a limited amount of energy with their brains and that those brains would have to be filled with something anyway, to prevent malfunctioning out of lack of use. This brought UFADO to his very old conclusion: humans were simply strange.
Still, the whole conversation with Tatsuya came about and UFADO's comment about Dorimon triggeredsome strange words from the girl who seemingly was named Mukado Nanami. She mentioned something about a world she was not aware of. UFADO felt pain in the back of his head, like something was trying to crawl it's way into his thoughts. Still, it didn't manage and UFADO simply replied with what normally was assossiated to "another world"
"Maybe you're thinking about the digital world, the place where I come from." UFADO said, trying to make sense of the words. |

Although Nanami's smile has dropped when she start talking with UFADO, it's not hard to see the girl's expression turns shocked. Despite she's obviously trembling, the blue haired girl tried to force a smile. Yes, it's been six years, so it must be reason why he doesn't remember her... she tried as hard as she can to reason with her ridiculous side that want to slap Tatsuya right here and now. If she told him more about her... then most likely he'll remember! Trying to keep positive, the seventeen years old start speaking with... voice that is too shaky for her liking.
"...Oh... I see... it's been six years, so probably you forgot... But! Maybe you would remember if I said something that... my father run a dojo? You know, um... the white guy funnily with Japanese surname? You ever came there and... and then... and then I often brought you guys... some drinks...? Uh... I'm that black haired girl who refused to train together with everyone... and... and..."
It's not helping. Her eyes starting to get wet. She bit her lips. Yes... let's give Tatsuya time and let's just turn to UFADO's words instead. Maybe he just need a little time... Let's not remember that painful day of being forgotten...
"A-ah... so... d-did you came from different world, UFADO-san? What... does it looks like?"

Tatsuya's answer was not the best for that case. Unbeknownst to him, who kept oblivious about how the girl could be feeling that instant, he didn't realize that her voice became shaky at the same time her expression changed drastically. Still, Nanami tried to bear it, and tried to make him understand who she was. With each of her questions, her voice broke down even more.

I've been in many dojos before, and most of them were ran by a Japanese sensei... Also, I've met too many guys and girls, and I'm sure I would remember most of them, but... I'm pretty sure it's the first time we meet. Maybe you talked to another Tatsuya and got his surname wrong? -he said, completely oblivious to the fact that those were the worst words he could say to the girl at that instant. That being said, his attention turned to UFADO once again.
-Isn't it a little bit rushed to tell her about the Digital World and Digimon when she hasn't even got a partner? It could be dangerous to her, ya know -the teen asked the strange, multiple-eyed Digimon. UFADO's way of thinking was uncomprehensible for him.

Tatsuya not being able to remember Nanami seemed to be affecting the girl, for a reason UFADO didn't understand. It's not like the girl had a reputation to stand for or anything, son not being remembered could actually prove to be an advantage given no past mistakes would be taken into account.
Still, UFADO was glad the attention went back to him. Being able to get an active role in conversations proved to be a good way to establlish conections with humans and he needed those conections if he was to ever find the perfect heart.
"The digital world? It's complex. I have not seen much of this world yet, but I can assure you that the amount of things that differ from each other are extraordinary, not to mention the differences from this one. Any travel you make between them will show you just how different they are, and even though I have done it much I am still to get minimally used to this strange world of yours. But at least your trees are nice, I give you that. Their inner sistems provide a far more...puzzling content than the ones from our world." UFADO explained, before Tatsuya questioned his decision "Oh, no Tatsuya, she'll be fine. In fact knowing tends to get their partners faster, my what I heard. Besides everyone needs a little danger in their lifes or they will grow soft and vulnerable." |

OK, that did it. A slap quickly flies to the black haired boy's cheek, and it's done with all of her strength. Nanami's eyes covered by her bangs as she tried her best to not cry right there... and it's not working. Tears already trickled down from her eyes to her cheek. Probably it's a bit hard to be seen by someone taller than her, but... she doesn't care. She don't want to stay here more than she have to.
"...Bas****... Even though I told you to always remember me... even though I told you I really hate to be forgotten... even though I told you that I don't want to lose a single friend... that I don't want to goes through being forgotten by anyone again, no matter what... TATSUYA KAZAN YOU BIG IDIOT! OF COURSE I KNOW YOU! I KNOW YOU, I KNOW YOUR BROTHER, RYUU! YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS WHEN YOU THOUGHT YOU CAN BE A BEST FRIEND WITH SOMEONE THEN THAT PERSON GONE RIGHT BEFORE YOU CAN TRADE CONTACTS!? YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS WHEN SOMEONE JUST LEFT WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION WHEN YOU TREAT THEM LIKE YOUR BEST FRIEND!?"
She have no idea what she's shouting at all... she's not even in her moody day... But the trauma of being forgotten by someone important to her surfacing once more... probably because of that she's lashing out like this...Without caring for anyone left behind, Nanami ran to her house at full speed, accidentally dropping her cellphone in the process.
Bakatsuya... I told you to never forgot me...

As his gaze met Nanami's, the teen's head was suddendly knocked to the right. The girl had just slapped him in the face! Although he was more than used to take blows, he had to admit that it stung a little. -Hey! What was that for...? -he began asking, but then he realized that she had lowered her head, and tears rolled down from her cheeks, her body shaking.
-Bastard... Even though I told you to always remember me... even though I told you I really hate to be forgotten... even though I told you that I don't want to lose a single friend... that I don't want to goes through being forgotten by anyone again, no matter what... TATSUYA KAZAN YOU BIG IDIOT! OF COURSE I KNOW YOU! I KNOW YOU, I KNOW YOUR BROTHER, RYUU! YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS WHEN YOU THOUGHT YOU CAN BE A BEST FRIEND WITH SOMEONE, AND THEN THAT PERSON'S GONE RIGHT BEFORE YOU CAN TRADE CONTACTS!? Tatsuya looked shocked. He couldn't know that his words would prompt such a reaction on the girl. -Wait... what...? -he asked, but Nanami had already taken her leave, running on her own, probably going home after the bitter reunion. As his cheek got a hand-like mark, Dorimon popped out of the bag, awake after hearing all that screaming.
Looking at the reddened remnants of the slap, the little In-Training spoke. -I cwan't slweep if you shout lwike that... And why do you have a hand tatoow, Tatsuya? -his partner spoke, realizing afterwards that UFADO was there. -Hi -he just muttered.
Tatsuya would look at the girl as she dissappeared behind the corner, with his hand placed on the hurt spot of his face. Standing there, he couldn't help but to think about what was all that thing about.

The slapping of Tatsuya chocked UFADO. He never expected such a response even from someone as upset as that girl.Still, it happened, and after a speech from which UFADO barely understood the words, she stormed away from them, leaving Tatsuya stunned, standing there. Dorimon woke up around that time, and UFADO decided it was best to leave too. He was angry, despite not showing it, due to the fact that he kinda blamed Tatsuya for the girl getting upset and stroming away when they weree having such an interesting conversation before Tatsuya arrived.
"Hi Dorimon. I'd tell you what happened, but due to my possible misinterpretation of the events and the fact that the continuity of my presence here may be more harmfull than helpfull, I shall take my leave. Goodby Tatsuya, Dorimon." |
