In-Jokes Gone Too Far: Night of the Bota! (Open, Mana)

This thing... So many contadictions. A giant Botamon? Elson did guess it was that, but...he never thought he'd get it THAT right. At least the being was asleep. Duffer wanted to escape, go seek hiding. Kiramon DID escape from the early nineteeth century poor quality film. Mana and Ayaka were dealing with their disbelief. As for Elson... He'd bring this black bolb one big headache. There would be no bones left in this botamon...cause it had no bones in the first place.
"Tinkermon, Drimogemon reload!" Elson shouted. The two digimon popped from his Xros loader, awaiting orders. Or at least they should have, as Tinkermon saw the botamon and flied straight for it, not noticing the giant fresh digimon was awaking.
"BIG BABY!" she screamed in joy.

The pair continued to behold the so-called monster as he began to wake up. He began to scan his surroundings, making the ground rumble slightly. Duffer and Kotemon continued to argue about the place where they would hide, and Elson had decided to take things on his own hands. Luckily, Kiramon wasn't here, because things propbably could get ugly at the general's hot blooded attitude. The Botamon hadn't shown signs of hostility, yet the black-haired boy had decided to attack it already.
"W-wait, Elson-san. I'm sorry for doubting about the giant Botamon, but is he really aggressive? I mean, he's most likely to be a confused baby! And even then, he doesn't look as unestable as Steamdramon-san said he would be? So why don't approach with more..." her speech was cut short by Tinkermon who rushed at the Botamon with a scream of joy. Truthfully, Mana would have done the same, but she was just too perplexed by the situation.
"I concur with miss Mana, we should at the very least check if the Botamon is hostile or not before doing anything rash. After all, what is a enormous Botamon capable of doing? It's as if he could do any serious damage with enormous bubbles".

"Or we could be as loud as possible... I'm noticing a pattern with this Elson boy..." Kotemon mumbled as it watched Tinkermon rush at the tiny thing. Turning away, Kotemon looked at Ayaka before starting conversation. "So it's not evil, but just confused and scared? Understandable. I was like that when I hatched, Duffer still IS like that, but why would it go around kidnapping digimon? Destroying buildings I can understand, such a child would underestimate its own strength quite easily, but destroying a building and stealing a Veemon away from its wife and child is quite another. And it raises the questions of why is it here and where did it come from? Hopefully, whatever this thing is, it's able to be contained and tamed... what tamer would be daring enough to keep something that could eat them in one bite is another matter altogether."
As Kotemon talked, Duffer kept an eye on the botamon, obviously not buying into the "It's just a giant baby" idea. As Tinkermon neared, it became clear that the Botamon saw it more and more as food than as a companion. Finally, as Tinkermon got into range, the bota tried to give it a quick nom.

Everyone seemed to protest against Elson`s aggressive attittude, making him just a little angrier. Tinkermon wasn`t helping either, her impulse to go straight to the baby was foolish in Elson`s and Silversteamdramon`s opinions, and those were were proven when the giant botamon tried to swallow Tinkermon, having her escape in a nick of time.
"I`m sorry Ayaka...What were you saying about it being harmless? Or hostile for that matter?" Silversteamdramon asked with desdain.
"Silversteamdramon calm down. That thing is just standing there for now. I`d say it is hiding something. It may be a baby digimon, but even babies can be greedy...and glutonous... I bet it`s standing there guarding something..." Elson commented, getting more and more worried about the Botamon. What did it want? Where was the kidnapped digimon? How was it made? There was only way to get any asnwers, and he would have to be lucky "Hey, you! Can you talk?" Elson lifted his xros loader "Silversteamdramon! Drimogemon! Digi-fuse!"
The two digimon xrossed and digged down as Silversteamdramon-D after nodding at those orders. Eslon turned to the rest of the people in there.
"Just to be safe." He stated. "That Botamon tries anything funny, Silversteamdramon-D will take him out from underground."

Well, of course the giant Botamon would try to eat Tinkermon. Otherwise this whole thread would be pointless. But as you may know, Mana and Ayaka don't know the implications of thread flow, so they were rather perplexed (or not so much, really).
"Well, most babies only want food to evolve to their next stage, and Tinkermon-chan... well, she is what you humans would call 'bite-sized'. And I get it, I am sorry for ever doubting you, Elson-san, Kotemon-san. So what do you suggest to do? Just to delete the Botamon in cold blood? I do not know if I agree entirely on that. But well, it may be our only option".
Mana sighed at her partner's word. She was ultimately right, but still... she felt remorse for the poor baby. Yet, that didn't stop her digivice's body to begin changing colors into a dark shade of pink (or darker gray), and emanating green (or white) light emanated from it as two words appeared in its screen: <MATRIX EVOLUTION>.
Ayaka's body transformed itself into the one of her perfect stage, a plant-lady attired on a Miko's Kimono. With her bow at hand, she drew its string, forming an arrow of pure ice as she did so.
"If tries to actively attack us, I will shot" she said on a tranquil, yet determined tone, as she watched to Botamon intently.

"Wow..." Duffer mumbled as he saw Acerimon. "Kotemon, she's pretty." "Duffer, only you would suddenly shift focus onto a woman who is both COMPLETELY out of your league and of a completely different species when we have a giant monster staring us dead in the face. Isn't that what gets most of those humans killed in those movies you like?" Sighing, Kotemon braced itself. "Now, let's focus. We need to try and get it to either become tamed or dead. Obviously, either option with such a creature will be dangerous. The fact it cleared a small town makes its power plainly obvious." Duffer sighed. "So it's a standoff?" "Indeed."
As the two sat and stared the bota-goddamnit where'd it go? It was on camera a few seconds ago. Gimme a few seconds folks, they're a lot like kittens, they're so damned curious it's almost like th- OH! There it is, under the couch... come on... get out of there you little... GOTCHA! Now, back onto the set. As the Botamon suddenly reappeared, except it didn't disappear at all, nope, not at all, it let out the menacing adorable noise of purring, the large creature began slowly approaching, its next actions unpredictable to any.

"If you don't to do step in Ayaka, you don't have to. I get it, it's baby. But that doesn't mean that I and Silversteamdramon won't do what we have to." Elson replied to Ayaka as she stated her opinion. Then she digivolved into her ultimate form, providing additional security, but having Duffer go bananas at the sight of the woman and Kotemon having to try to talk some sense into him. "Kotemon, if you agree that this Botamon is dangerous then at least focus on getting ready to fight."
Elson looked back to the Botamon and facepalmed at the sight that it was missing. He waited for a bit for the film to be repositioned, stomping his feet to express the idea of "hurry up".
That's when the Botamin was back on track and it unleashed a...cute purring? Somebody had gone cheap on this...Anyway, as the Botamon began to approach, Silversteamdramon-D began to use his attack. Small steam geisers began to pop around the Botamon. If the giant baby didn't get out fast, Silversteamdramon-D would explode the ground right beneath itwith his "Circle of Steam" attack, hopefully destroying the film and ending that mess.

This Botamon was... curious, to say the least. He seemed to dissappear and reappear from thin air, and maybe he would use that for his adventage should this come to blows. But it was just a little baby... was it really harmful?
The pair doubted, of course they did. Child violence was one of the most despicable things to do in every possible situation, and this was even worse than child, it was just a baby! A newborn, of all things! The narrator wondered what kind of twisted mind could incorporate child violence on a terror film, and on the side opposing the victims, of all things! But he was digressing.
Back with the Botamon, it started jumping towards the group with an expressionless face. He was a baby, after all, and babies didn't have much expressions. Ayaka steadied her aim. She was pretty sure of her skills, should worst come to worst. But but she didn't expect was that the human boy actually... was infatuated with her? She choose to not mind that, as this situation shifting to comical would totally kill the mood. She would release the pristine arrow the same moment the beast showed hostility, she could be pretty sure of that.

Let's start this simple. Steam hurts a lot. Obviously I can't spray a botamon with steam because that's digimon abuse and filming it and selling it would be one of the dumbest thing a man can legally do, up there with putting out newspaper ads for snuff films. So instead, the botamon will be portrayed by a botamon plushie. Sprayed with steam, the large, menacing creature fell over and sat there... paralyzed in pain, yeah, that's it. There it sat until it began to... uh... vibrate! It shook menacingly as it stood up again! The horrific beat was about to do something amazing a-wait, the table's vibra-OH FU-!
As the table leg fell over, taking the scale model, camera, and fearsome beast with it,the director had to think quick on how to end this film. Hurriedly splicing together stock footage of a nuculear explosion, the editor quickly saved the day as little black furry adorable creatures fell from the sky, and a totally not photoshopped crater stood before them. From inside the crater color began returning as the film itself began ending.
Duffer and Kotemon sat there in confusion as Botamon fell from the sky, harmlessly bouncing to the ground as this entire experiment of a thread began winding down. "Kotemon, I'm confused." Duffer said what everyone was inevibly thinking. "Did we win? Why are cute things falling from the sky? Did this actually happen or did we all just go crazy for an hour or so?"

Elson just stared at the confusing chaotic imagery, trying to realise what was going on. Atomic explosions and raining cute stuff? Seriously? Who put`s that on a film?
The color began to return, yet nobody seemed to notice it. In fact they were all to stunned to check what was actually happening around them anymore, it seemed.
Silversteamdramon-D approached Elson.
"Hum...my general?" The xros asked.
"Yeah? Did you do that?" Elson inquired to his partner "Because if you did, I liked it. You should do it more often."
"Actually, I don`t think I did that." the machine replied. "And I have no idea of what did, but I`d say we`re safe."
"Or as Duffer suggested, mad."
[exit thread, I mean it makes no sense to prolong this, does it, not that it made sense at all in the first place]

As the table fell because one of its legs caved— I mean, as the nuclear proyectile destroyed the evil(?) beast, little, tiny, now-harmless and common Botamon started to fall from the sky. Ayaka, seeing that her skills as Acerimon were not needed anymore, just devolved into Kodamon agai, sighing with relief that this madness had ended for good. Even the color started coming back. She and Mana even picked some stray Botamen(?) as they fell, ensuring their safe landing on the ground below.
Yet, Ayaka didn't feel easy at this whole situation, as something seemed amiss. Well, that, and Elson going away without even caring for the real reason they were in here. That was definitely rude. "Wait. Duffer-san, Kotemon-san. If this madness has ended, what happened to the missing town? And with Tailmon/BlackTailmon/Mikemon-san? Has this ended truly, or this is just a sequel hoo— I mean, are we totally sure that we are safe now? You seem to be the experts in here, and I feel that it would be way better to be safe than sorry, at least in this scenario" .
Mana, of course, was too distracted by picking the stray botamons while hugging them and squealing "cute!".

Duffer thinks. "Well... either the town was completely abandoned or emptied by the hungry creature... She said she ran off to get help so I assume she's somewhere safe. If this does happen again it'd have to happen somewhere else or to different people..." Duffer mumbled as a botamon landed on his head. "As for the cat's husband it's probably in the massive crater that's rapidly filling with tiny plush creatures. Or dead. One of those two, really." He smiled as several other botamon began falling, allowing for Yu- er, You, the reader, to imagine your own unusual baby digimon.
Kotemon sighed. "That's all very nice, but what of all these children? The Village of Beginnings is quite a long walk and they'll be far too hungry to do anything." Kotemon picked up a botamon that was tugging on its loose sleeves. "And they're far too curious to be wrangled up properly. That... SuperBotamon(trademark) may be gone, but we still have to deal with the aftermath."

The pair took the answers from Duffer quite seriously. So maybe the gigantic Botamon was no more, but the fight had been pretty severe. Most likely, all the entire Village was lost, except for the Tailmon/BlackTailmon/Mikemon and her child. She felt quite depressed about that fact, but that depression was short lived when not only normal Botamons began falling, now all kinds of different Botamon with all kinds of attires did! They were SamuraiBotamon, WereBotamon, and even Botamon Paladin Mode! Mana, now on an almost frenzied state, began catching all the different variations she could, scanning them on the spot as she hugged them. "These guys are so cute!" she squealed as she catched a PumpkinBotamon "I could do this all day long!" but then she paused as an enourmous contraption descended from the sky on a much slower rate "Whoa, what's that? It's not a bird, and it's not a plane! Wait, wait, it IS a plane!".
From heavens, the giant plane landed amidst of the Botamon horde, and from it's cabin descended... AviatorBotamon! <Hello, and welcome to Botamon Airlines. All Botamons, please board the aircraft. Our next destination is the Village of the Beginnings>.
As the automated voice spoke, the Botamons began boarding the plane and AviatorBotamon went back to the plane. "Well, I guess that the Village problem has been solved?".

The two watched silently as everything just... happened for lack of a better description. With great confusion, Duffer took charge. "We are never going to speak of this again. Anything past the giant Botamon will be a mystery and we will NEVER reveal it." Duffer said as the color returned to him, the botamon on his head jumping off to join the line, same with the one that Kotemon was holding. Kotemon nodded and sighed. "That was too weird. Come on Duffer, let's go home. It was nice meeting you two ladies." Kotemon offered a hand(?) to shake. As all the botamons began leaving the credits began rolling elsewhere.
Night of the Bota was a bomb in almost every single sense of the word. People literally avoided cinemas showing it like they were Leper colonies filled with ebola victims. In fact, theaters paid people to go see it. About fifteen film critics killed themselves halfway through the film and every copy was rounded up by the government to use for interrogation. Five minutes into the first use of experimenting those holding the tests took every single copy and threw them into a fire. All except for one to be used and held in case another arms race would ever show itself. Despite the original version's horrible, horrible results, the botamon and botamon plush toy have gone unpunished and grew up to menacing digimon in its own right.

When all the Botamen boarded in the plane, AviatorBotamon started the engine again and the plane began ascending. When it was high enough, it drew a "The End...?" with smoke as he flew away, leaving both Mana and Ayaka on a state of perplexion, but with enough of their sanity back to shake hands with sword wielding digimon.
"Yes, I guess it was a pleasure. Hopefully next time we meet circumstances will not be this... particular. Goodbye, Kotemon-san, Duffer-san".
Mana waved cheerily as the pair made their way out of this place, but still, there was something that made her feel... weird. Shrugging it off as something inconsequential, she and Ayaka began to make their way out.
"Say, Ayaka. Do you think that we were here just because a person we don't know tried to make something to commemorate a holiday that's not even celebrated in Japan?" she asked on a pensive manner.
Ayaka, on her side, waved her hand on a dismissing fashion. "I have seen so much this day, miss Mana, that I even don't know what to think about this. I will just keep my mind open to any possibilities". They both left the place with mixed feelings about this adventure, but only one thing was certain: Neither one of them wanted this to happen again.
