"Have you contacted our senior members?" the white haired tamer asked, standing before two robes figures.
His digimon, Shadow, was currently standing next to him, staring out deeper into the Everfalls with lazy eyes.
"Of course, sir. Unfortunately, we could not locate most of them. Not even our best contacts have been able to gather any information as to their whereabouts." one of the robed figures said. Blades jutted out the sleeves of his uniform. Yes, this was the Vexus uniform. It had no identifying features usually. Some members used to have flashier ones, but to each their own. Majin preferred to keep it as simple as possible, so as not to attract attention.
That was a bit disappointing. So much time and effort wasted. Acquiring loyal comrades was no easy task. But unlike other groups, he would not chastise them for their absence. As long as they remained out of their way, he would allow them to do a they wished. Though, for future reference, he would keep this situation in mind.
"We have located enough, however." the second figure added. He seemed to have big paws for hands. "Beverly is at her usual spot, with her comrades. We have also detected Keramon. Aside from your personal comrades, the bulk of your army remains ever so faithful, mi'lord." he explained.
Indeed, most of his army had stayed loyal to him, despite things. It wasn't like they could really complain; Aestyr had state of the art quarters for them to live in. But still, he appreciated their loyalty.
He felt a bit sad that some of his closer friends were nowhere to be found, though. Akari and Zero. Louis and Haze. Short friendships, but friendships all the same. They were but two... of a short list.

Another Vexus call. At least Bev wasn't too busy to give Majin a visit. She was a part of Vexus, and she was obligated to come. Not that the obligation was an unwanted one. But as already noted, she was easy to find. Most digimon were content on merely roaming the world, but having a place to live had its perks.
She was in her Super Mega form, flying at great speeds. She was also alone. Ghost was still away and Beverly felt no need to bring her along right now.
She made her way to the Everfalls, stopping in mid air a few yards off the ground before landing.
"Nice to see you still alive and well, you guys. My allies have errands to tend to, so I've come alone. Also, if you're expecting Vetina to come, she too has some business to attend to."
Beverly knew that what Ghost and Vetina were doing was look for the same digimon, although not quite working together, as far as she figured. But no need to get into those details.
"I hope the wait isn't too long for the others. No offense, but I'd rather not waste time."

... I've found myself staring countless times at the wonders brought about in this world. This world that I've spent so much time on, that I've, for once in my life, felt truly alive on... I wish... To protect it. To keep it safe. It is quite clear that the Digital World's governors are too preoccupied with vain matters to keep it safe. It is us who show up whenever evil rears it's face. It is time we take matters upon our own hands and make sure to safeguard this world from future evils. To whomever this may ring true, seek me out in the Everfalls. I will be waiting on the farthermost island.
That note was the reason of today's journey. While Mana had read it one day during a stroll on terminus city and somewhat ignored it at first, it began to nag at her slowly. She began to think about it more and more, as the days passed. She then returned to the same place to read it twice, thrice, almost every day until it was removed from the bulletin board. What were her thoughts about it? Her first impression, of course, was that it was a bit polemic. That note obviously went against the status quo, and for your average person, it would be deemed as a madman's ravings, but as the brunette girl thought about them more and more, she became convinced that the person who said them was, at the end of the day, right. While this world had some sort of structure, it all went down, caving in and crumbling even at the slightest threat and that created so much unfair scenarios; the "strong" because it was just a loose term, preying on what they perceived as weak, as chaos ensued for the vainest of reasons. And even if she had begun her adventures less than a month ago, the things she had lived so far had already pushed her young body to almost its limits and exhausted her mind in the most dire of scenarios, and yet... she still had this nagging feeling that the worst was yet to come.
As Andriactinarimon made her wave through the Macro Ocean, she couldn't but think about all these questions and many more. Her stance was alike to the note's writer; even if she had discovered this world relatively recently, it already felt as a second home and, as she caressed the slippery algae that now covered her partner's skin, she felt as if her partner was more than her best friend. She thought of her as a older sister of sorts, and concluded that if this was her sister's world, it was hers too.
Ayaka, of course supported her partner in her decision, agreeing to do this journey right away, even if the most of the details were amiss on that note. However, she had to make sure that nobody tried to take advantage of her partner, and had to check first hand that the person who wrote the note was actually powerful enough to live up to his promise and was actually serious about it. After all, charlatans that flocked people with empty promises and made profit with that were as commonplace in this world as they were in the human's.
The giant salamander closed on the designated meeting spot. The most isolated and farthest away island in this whole place. She quickened her pace until she became inbound. At the distance, she could see a some figures im what seemed to be a meeting, just at the same time as what seemed to be winged humanoid figure landed just on that spot. Mana descended from the membrane where she was, and, as Ayaka decided not to devolve just in case things went awry, the two of them began to walk towards to meeting.
Whoemever was there would more likely notice the little girl and the giant salamander that were walking towards there, without being not too hard to notice the slightly nervous expression on the girl's face. As the duo approached, Mana made out only human in the group. A man that was easily twenty centimeters taller than her, which his most distinguishing feature was his snow-white hair.
"Hi" she said with a hint of cheeriness in her voice despite her nervousness, and at the same time Ayaka bowed down her head in greeting "We're here because of a note left on Terminus City's bulletin board. My name's Tsumura Mana, and she's my partner, Ayaka, pleased to meet you. We... agree with your ideas, and we're here to help in any way we can".

Ankh flew towards the Everfalls as Garudamon X, after he found the poster about meeting someone in Everfalls. At the farthest island, something interesting awaited. He was interested for whatever they hold for him. The Ultimate wasn't interested about saving world. It was about power. Power for his revenge, and to defeat his sworn rival.
Ankh then landed on the place where the group, which one of them wore black cloak. Ankh's eerie humanoid right arm clenched fist, and he was ready for whatever this white-haired human has. "So, you're the one who made this message... interesting." Ankh said. "I want the power... to subjugate everything, and anyone, especially to the ones who made my life miserable."
Ankh then turned to see... Mana and Ayaka he had met earlier in Mainframe Hills. He was somewhat irked, but a bit... embarrassed to see the salamander. "Tch, you again." Ankh chided, blushed as he turned away from Ayaka. "I can't believe I meet you again of all people."
Ankh then turned to the man with white hair, and asked, "So who the hell are you and what are you doing?"

Bev was the first one to arrive. This took Majin by surprise; he planned to go see her soon. But perhaps she had stumbled upon the note in Terminus and decided to come herself. This was a good thing; the sooner he got everyone together, the better.
The two robed figures waved at Bev as she approached. They lowered their hoods, revealing them to be Knives the Matadormon and Betsumon. They turned towards Majin once more.
"We'll keep looking for the others. Farewell, you two." the Matadormon said, waving down at the floor, as a pillar of shadows rose up from it. The robed digimon walked into them, fading as the pillar collapsed down to the ground.
"Likewise, my friend." Majin said. Yes, Bev was his friend. She was willing to do something dangerous for his sake. That's a real friend. "We will not wait long. Others will come in due time." Majin added. Over time, he would reach out to other people. It seemed a lot of the older generation had almost vanished - perhaps they had decided to remain on the real world, or had gone into seclusion somewhere on the remote parts of this world. Whatever the reason, they seemed out of the loop.
Cowardice was a theme back in the day, but now more so. Most people preferred to keep quiet and let things flow. Not Majin. Ever. Even if most of the new generation were craven, surely, some of them would be adventurous enough to be interested in Vexus.
Shadow suddenly turned. He sensed someone approaching. A distance away, a relatively big digimon crawled out of the water. A tamer walked ahead of it - a little girl. Oh, but Majin was not fooled. Young or not, it mattered little. Sometimes, the younger ones surpassed the potential of any teen or adult.
Shadow stared silently. The creature looked capable enough. The girl... Kind of reminded him of Nachi. Surely, Majin saw the remote resemblance, as well. It was something about her eyes that reminded him of their past comrade. This already earned her a few points with Shadow, and with his tamer, too.
"Welcome. My name is Majin, it's a pleasure to meet you." the human said, extending a hand out at her, intent on shaking hands. She would probably notice his somewhat firm, but also tactful grip. He motioned to his partner with his free hand, "And he is Shadow, my partner. Beverly also accompanies us today." he added, motioning towards Bev next.
He took a quick glance at the sky once he was done greeting and introducing, glancing down at Shadow. The magician confirmed a second arrival. Two potential recruits had shown up.
Still, two recruits were better than nothing. And with potential, it seemed. He remembered having taken in mere Rookie before. These potential comrades, with his help, would become even more stronger.
Majin paced back and forth. How would he go about this? She was just a small girl, and perhaps straight talk would intimidate her. And him. Something about him didn't seem too trustworthy. But the way he blushed when he saw the girl... Maybe he wasn't so bad, after all. Still, straight talk was the better way. Perhaps she too saw how inefficiently this world was being handled. Perhaps she really agreed on his ideals. The other guy seemed like an easy time convincing.
"Where to start... Majin said, bringing a hand up to his chin. "Because you wouldn't join our cause without first knowing how we will go about it, right?" he said, smirking. He cleared his throat.
"If an individual knew they couldn't die, or be punished for anything they ever did, what do you think would happen?" he allowed a short pause, before continuing.
"Absolute evil."
"Strip away the concept of retribution, bring down the walls of fear, and true evil nature will gush forth." he stopped, and faced Mana.
"'If you do nothing, you lose nothing'...
Wrong. Silence in the face of evil is itself evil.
Such a craven way to live... If you can really call that life. I, for one, cannot." he said. "This is a path less taken... But necessary. It will be dangerous... But I will train you. I will help you become stronger than ever before.
If you've come from so far away, then, you must share my same feelings. Surely, you've seen how the government works here. How it neglects it's people while chaos befalls these lands so often. I will not sugarcoat my words: I seek to change things. To make this a safer world. I will set about doing unconventional things in order to meet these ends. But in the long run, everyone will realize that this was the better path. That the bitter pill wasn't so bad after all."
The tamer grabbed his D-Arc and motioned towards Shadow, who silently nodded. The digimon turned into raw energy, smashing into the human's body like lightning hitting a tree. Instead of the area being lit up by the sudden power, it instead darkened; a figure took shape from this dark energy... Azramon.
This would be the test for Mana and Ankh. A Super Mega stood before them, luckily, not in his more usual, monstrous form. Thanks to his limited shape shifting, he assumed... A less demonic form. But whoever looked at him would probably assume he was an evil one. Something about the hair and black scale armor just tipped him off as a baddie. But was he? Not really.
If they fell for stereotypes, they would probably run. If not, her digimon would probably become agitated by the sight and the guy would attack. It would be up to them to make things work.
Azramon stood silently, slitted eyes gazing at the girl, then at the guy.

Diaboromon bounded from island to island, deftly avoiding tree and rock alike as he made his way towards the furthest landmass. He had begun the trip in his rookie form, but sheer excitement had pushed him to digivolve simply to reach his destination faster. The virus type could not suppress the grin that was spreading across his face. To see his dear friends from Vexus again, after that terrifying and sad battle...
Yes after that monumental fight, where Majin had staked all that he had worked towards, Diaboromon had gone on a retreat of sorts. He had spent his time merely wandering, akin to when he had no one to call a friend. He had never fully agreed with Majin's ideals, the young viral digimon had always wanted to show the digital world that not all of his kind were data devouring monsters. That a Keramon, and all his forms, could defend what is right and be a hero to the people. Killing innocent digimon went well against this goal, yet Keramon's sense of justice would always be weighed against his loyalty to his friends. He had come to the realization that day that you cannot save everyone, and to try and do so is no way to live. He had spent the days leading up to this moment accepting that in his heart.
But his goal remained. Though he could not, would not, save everyone, he would help as many as he could. He remained loyal to Vexus, to Majin, and he was anxious to prove this fact. Though he could have no way of knowing, he felt like he was already late to the gathering. He couldn't keep his friends waiting!
From the point of view of any who happened to be looking in the direction behind Mana, Ayaka, and Ankh, it looked like a black bullet had been shot straight in to the air from one of the nearby islands. If one was to trace the arc of this "bullet" they would notice its rapid descent towards the very island they were standing on! With an audible thud, Diaboromon all but crashed in to the island several meters away from the gathered group, kicking up a cloud of dust and dirt that obscured him from vision for a moment. As the dust settled, an intimidating shape began to take form. To most people it would be quite the scary sight, and for a moment it would almost seem like the figure was about to attack.
Then there was a burst of light, fractal code, and wind from within the cloud that swept away the obscurity to reveal Keramon, a huge smile on his face.
"Majin! Beverly! Its so great to see you guys again!" he all but shouted as he zipped over to the group, waving his hands. He looked to the figures that he did not recognize, his smile dropping into a small, curious O shape. "Oh...are these the new members? Did I interrupt one of your speeches Majin? I'm so sorry! I'll be quiet but one thing first." he quickly apologized before turning to fully face the new members. "Hello everyone! My name is Keramon, its a pleasure to meet you." He announced with a grin before falling silent.

Beverly smirked slightly at the friend remark. Sure, she considered Majin an "ally" first and foremost, but being friends with him was far from an unpleasant concept. Plus, to be an ally of Beverly was a half step away from friendship, anyways, so it was close enough. After Majin's comment, she crossed her arms and closed her eyes. She was daydreaming for the time being.
Mana and ayaka were the first to arrive. As she heard them, she opened her eyes. It was an interesting development, as she didn't expect to see her here. Joey and Blitz being a part of Vexus seemed more reasonable. But she would not reveal herself just yet. Next was Ankh, seemingly rude and vengeful, wanting to subjugate others. He was of slight concern, but she wouldn't dwell on that for too long.
After Majin introduced himself and Shadow, Majin went to one of his speeches, preaching about the evils of this world getting out of hand. While she did not fully agree with him, she did know that the governments weren't really anything close to fully honest and helpful. No one lifted up a finger in regards to Rustport. She had to start the restoration project herself.
Majin soon turned into Azramon, most likely as a scare test. Of course, it was not for Beverly, who has seen this form already and, well, knew him for a good amount of time. But just then, another digimon shown up, the Galaclivamon spotting its descent before its impact. The newcomer revealed himself to be the Keramon, another friendly face for Beverly.
"Keramon, it's been a while. Glad you still got your cheeriness."

Ayaka acknowledged the presence of Ankh with a nod of her head. "Good day, Ankh-san" she said a polite manner without looking to him as she was still bowing to Majin, and breaking it early maybe would be perceived as disrespectful. The man the started talking about his ideals, and his purpose. And, as Mana had guessed, his views were polemic, but they were noble, and above all, they were the right thing to do, at least in Mana's viewpoint. Indifference and inaction were the greatest injustice in this world, and Majin seemed to be as driven as her in her ideas to eradicate it.
As if to make a point (or for reasons she simply ignored), the white-haired man merged with Shadow, becoming what could only be described as some kind of demon. She looked with geniune excitement at that type of digievolution she had only heard about, and as she was about to say something, she heard a loud thud a dozen or so meters away from them. As she turned away, she saw from the cloud of dust the figure of a digimon that quickly presented himself as Keramon, and greeted both Majin and Beverly (wait, Beverly?!), and even mentioned something about "new members", which made Mana think a little. Maybe this was an organization or something like that?
Pushing those thoughts away and trying to recover her previous mood, Ayaka finally decided to devolve to her rookie in cue to Keramon presenting himself, and both her and Mana smiled at him while they bowed as a greeting. After the short introductions had been made, she took a deep breath before she started to give her point of view to the human-digimon.
"Firstly, I have to thank you, Majin-sama, for taking me seriously and treating me as you would treat any other person, despite my age and appearance; to be totally frank, I would have really disliked soft words, but I'm digressing. I know that I'm young, but I've already witnessed the atrocities that people without any notion of morals had done to this world. I've seen how innocent digimon were slaughtered like cattle just for the sake of 'progress', with that progress being, among other things, a twisted chimera of sewn body parts, as if a digimon were just a piece of fabric that you could just sew together to make a set of clothes. I've seen some really dangerous digimon attacking very important places as the beings who were supposedly in charge ran away, leaving both the people and digimons who lived there to their luck. I've only ventured on this world for less than a month, but Ayaka and me have grown a lot during that period! I know that an ultimate is little more than an insect in the grand scheme of things, and that's why I'm hellbent on getting stronger"
She made a pause, and then looked at the demon with the most distilled determination her honey-colored eyes could muster . "Call me idealist, but I want to change this. Otherwise the mere indifference that seems to plague the cities of this world will ultimately be its downfall, and that's why I... Want to pledge my allegiance to you. As long as your words and purpose are true and your conviction stays sharp, it'll be my honor to learn from and fight alongside you. I know that sacrifices will have to be made, and I'm not afraid of being a casualty, as long as that contributes to end this wave of indifference and helps to start an age where communities act as such, and not as a group of covetous beings that are only interested on their welfare, even if its at the expense of the others".
After the brunette girl's speech, Ayaka added with her most serious and solemn tone. "And I am a one hundred-percent with miss Mana. I share her views on this barbaric world, and I am willing to help your endeavor until the last leaf on my body wilts, should you really mean the words you had said earlier".
After the duo finished their dialogues, Mana's expression softened a great deal as she smiled widely at Keramon and Beverly while Ayaka, yet again, bowed to them. She had an introduction pending, after all. "Beverly, as in Beverly-sama? I mean... Lady Beverly? I'm really glad to meet you again! You look really awesome in that form!" she then smiled even more widely at Keramon "Hi, Keramon-san! My name's Mana and the little flower over there's Ayaka!" she said on a cheery tone "You are... really cute! Do you mind if I hug you? Pretty please?"
As Ayaka sighed, she realized that even if they were on a dead serious situation, at the end of the day, Mana was still a little girl at heart. Hopefully the participants on this conversation would bear with her and see through that.

As Majin and Shadow merged into a Digimon named Azramon, Ankh smirked in sick satisfaction. He never saw such powerful opponent in his life. And the test of his, was indeed intriguing. He could pass this test if he wanted to. Because of strength and that. "Fufufu... Ha-HAHAHAHA!" Ankh let out a mad laughter, intrigued by the biomerge Evolution. "If you're into it, bring it on! I never see such power before my eyes, and it's time to test how strong you are! COME!!!"However, the situation changed when a Keramon arrived, with his huge grin on his face. Not to mention that Keramon was a close friend to Majin and Beverly. He couldn't care less, as the only thing was to have himself into Vexus' ranks for greater power. "Honestly, I don't care of what the f*ck are you thinking of saving world. Do you think world is worth saving? I doubt so. Because this world is full of evil. Evil beyond purpose or reason. The only way to save this world, is to dominate it, or destroy it!" Ankh pointed out his belief of saving world. Saving world was the least of his consent, and the only thing he want was... A power. To dominate, to subjugate, and to weed out between the strong and the weak. "The weak will always be oppressed by those who have power! That's why the weak is forced to seek for power. However, those who gain power will forget their compassion, and become the oppressor they would become! And those who have the compassion, even if they attained the power, they wouldn't attain their true strength! Do you think so?" Ankh ranted about strength and power. And then he looked at Azramon, then to Mana, Ayaka, Beverly, and then to Keramon. "Do you still think that world is worth saving? From that cursed fate that chained this VERY circle of life?" Ankh asked the group tendentiously. (OOC: Fun fact, Ankh quoted "Evil is beyond purpose or reason" from Takatora Kureshima from Kamen Rider Gaim.)

The demon stood in front of the potential recruits, a serious expression on his face, but this all changed. What came next was a big surprise; Mana's speech made the Super Mega freeze in place. He was taken off guard, the girl was wise beyond her age. Azramon nodded slowly, still shocked, showing his approval.
Damn. She acted just like Nachi. And would probably become as great, too. Funny how the world worked.
Ankh, though. The avian started laughing, who knows why. Not only that, he challenged Azramon to prove his strength. Was he a fool, or merely ignorant of a Super Mega's power? Azramon's shocked face turned into a smirk, and the Super Mega was about to go ahead and give the digimon a scare, but someone else was fast approaching.
He looked up to see someone crashing down near them. Shadows rose up, covering him from the debri, quickly coming down once it all settled. It turned out to be a familiar sight... Keramon. Azramon smiled at his old friend. The demon waved, a happy expression on his face. It all looked so weird - the demon was usually so serious.... But he was acting so cheerily now.
Things got even worse, when Keramon mentioned something about interrupting Majin's speech. Azramon couldn't help but burst into laughter - he thought it was funny how he freaked out about it. Was he so infamous for his speeches? Things turned serious again, as Ankh exposed his own point of view. The Super Mega watched the Garudamon intently. While rude as all hell, he did have some... Somewhat valid points. True, the weak were usually oppressed by the strong. True, the world had evil beyond purpose or reason. And true, oftentimes, those who rose to defend it ended up corrupted in the way. Despite all that, it just sounded sad. It seemed Ankh was frustrated, bitter due to who knows what. Perhaps he had his reasons. Perhaps, Majin could help him.
"Mana, Ayaka. Beautiful words, I have been thoroughly impressed. I will take you both under my wing, or Beverly could serve as your mentor, if you prefer, seeing as you two already seem acquainted with each other. " he said, looking at the duo. He turned to Ankh. He was juggling the idea of letting the 'mon go, or helping him out. He seemed unstable, perhaps a future liability. Maybe he would betray Majin at some point, who knows. All Majin knew is that the guy seemed more interested in attaining greater power than their ideals... They didn't even share ideals...
But... But maybe he needed help.
"You have passion, Ankh. But I feel it may be misguided. Some of what you say is true, however, I see your view of the world is considerably warped. I could offer to take you under my wing, and help you realize your true potential. Only by focusing that passion on more productive endeavors, will your true power surface."

What a surprise that this little girl mustered up this impressive speech for the group, particularly for Azramon. The other Super Mega around knew that humans were an interesting species. She could squash one like a bug, but raw strength was not why Beverly had some fondness for them. Unlike some others, Beverly did not equate physical power to ones worth, human or digimon.
Once her speech was over, Mana complemented Bev on her form, prompting a genuine smile from the half-dragoness. "Well, thank you Mana."
However, her views towards Ankh were less favorable. He wanted power to dominate, views that even she thought were incompatable with Majin's focus. He'd probably fit in with old Hakai based on what she had heard long ago, but not here. Azramon was more forgiving of this one and had offered to take him under his wing. Would Ankh even appreciate such a gesture?
"If you ask me, power is the ability to do what you want, not mere subjugation. My drive and my allies have aided me in gaining this power, so telling me compassion limits my own strength is almost laughable.
What good is power in the long run if all you do is lord it over and destroy? It's a childish need to always win. Many here need to learn self control and the worth of things other than themselves. If anything, this world needs a leader, not a dictator.
Everything needs a balance, of course. Pure subjugation is not this. I might not agree with 100% of what Azramon says, but I will aid him as long none of his intentions causes me or my personal effects any grief. Because he just might have the power to do what he needs to do, and he has the conviction to make sure ir happens. And if there are two traits I find admirable in someone, it's loyalty and conviction.
Well, that aside, if Mana wishes to be mentored by me, I'll try. I am a busy womon but I always make time for allies and friends."
Bev turned towards Keramon and continued speaking. "...speaking of which, Burst told me he appreciated the help you gave to the project. It seemed you've enjoyed it."

Keramon's senses were on fire. He had only been present for mere minutes yet so much was happening. First, the young girl named Mana delivered a speech that rivaled one of Majin's, effectively rendering Keramon silent for a moment. He had pushed all thoughts of ideals and convictions from his mind the second he had seen his old friends, but this human's words had called them all back. Or, more accurately, she had made Keramon notice the simplicity of his own ideals. He wanted to prove himself, that he was no monster. That was it. Nothing more. He valued friends, allies, and kindness, and he would defend all of those things with his life. The young Mana had reminded Keramon of why he had joined Vexus in the first place, and of why he followed Majin. For this he admired the girl. His admiration was mired somewhat by sadness. To think a girl as seemingly young as her could say such things...what pain and misery littered her past? Perhaps if he was lucky she would tell him about it someday.
What happened next threw the virus type completely for a loop.
Mana asked if she could hug him. Before Keramon could return the pleasantries he was knocked completely off guard. "Y-...you want to hug me? A-are you sure? I mean I don't mind but I..I've never hugged anyone before..." He managed to stutter, yet he kept his posture open. The rookie's face reddened slightly. He wasn't lying , he had never been hugged before. It would be a new experience for the little digimon. He would awkwardly embrace the young girl if she came up and hugged him, but he sure wasn't going to make the first move in this scenario.
Regardless of what happened in those next few seconds, Keramon would next be beset by emotions from the opposite end of the spectrum. The newcomer known as Ankh expressed his views next, and his words sent a jolt of anger through the rookie. He held himself back and did everything he could to suppress the feeling. Rage was a disgusting feeling to him, he hated how it made him feel, how it drew out the darker urges that were ever present in his psych. So it was for that reason that he simply looked away from Ankh, clenching his over-sized fists. Of course the world was worth saving, where else would peace loving people live? If we sink to the same level as those we fight, we are no better and will only replace, not remove, the darkness. Keramon knew that he and this digimon would likely never see eye-to-eye, but if Majin accepted him then Keramon would tolerate him as well.
Ankh's speech had spoiled a rare moment for Keramon, that being Azramon laughing and waving. Luckily the image was safely captured in the rookie's memory.
Last but certainly not least, Beverly addressed Keramon after essentially speaking the negative thoughts that he had just been feeling. He was grateful that she was there and capable of eloquently putting her thoughts to words. Keramon doubted he could do the same. He smiled at the dignified digimon and replied with "He did? Ah I will have to thank him for the kind words the next time I see him. I really did enjoy it, in fact I would go back in a heartbeat. It really didn't feel like I was doing enough, even when I used my digivolutions. Thank you for giving me that opportunity, I really appreciate it!" He ended with a genuine grin, but paused. Mental note: Don't use the word "really" so much. He thought to himself. Looking back at Beverly, "What have you been up to?" he asked while also keeping his ears open in case Majin, Mana, Ayaka, or Ankh spoke.

Ankh's reaction to Majin biomerging was interesting, to say the least. The Hawkmon reacted with cockiness even when being outclassed by really great extent. Ayaka thought of that reaction as silly; even in the best of cases, that reaction could only come across as an arrogant act of rudeness that would be most likely laughed off, and in the worst, it would only result on instant deletion and maybe absortion. It was a gamble that just didn't have any favorable results, yet the bird digimon had made it as if it were the most natural thing on the world to do. The only real doubt on the forest sprite's mind was if Ankh was reckless, stupid or both to commit such ab act. Yet, Keramon's arrival lighted up everything, and she began to wonder if this meeting was as serious as she had thought it to be. The biomerged demon had displayed a plethora of emotions thus far, from what she thought as surprise at Mana's speech to amusement at Ankh's challenge, to finally cheeriness and even laughter at Keramon's arrival. She was a little confused, but finally concluded that even when biomerged, an old friend is still an old friend, a funny commentary's still prone to make you laugh. To be honest with herself, Ayaka had smirked at the for a bit at the "Did I interrupt one of your speeches Majin" bit.
Yet, as Ankh began his speech, Mana was too busy to hear its beginning, mostly due to a very simple reason. "Yay!" she happily said the very same instant that Keramon expressed that he didn't mind being hugged, hugging the rookie from his neck, as she figured that his tentacled body wasn't that huggable. The girl's grasp was deceptively strong, not terribly so, but undoubtedly more than her age let out to think "You're so fluffy, Keramon-san! I'm pretty sure that we'll be really good friends!".
While Mana was on an fit of pure glee at discovering the second digimon that had accepted being hugged by her at the first try, Ayaka, on her side, heard attentively Ankh's point of view on the world, and she felt sick to her stomach by it. His ideals and were almost diametrically opossed to Mana and her's. He wanted power to subjugate and dominate, to become just another tyrant that didn't care about the people that lived under him. Yes, maybe this cycle couldn't be stopped, but as Majin had said, if ignoring it is to be as guilty as the ones who enforce it, being actually on their side was even worse! Ayaka glared at him intensely; after hearing his view on the matter, she saw him as the personification of what Mana and she tried to fight, yet she restrained herself. The plantlike digimon had to use a good deal of her self control to mantain a cold, but neutral expression, although perceiving that she extermely unpleased was rather obvious.
Mana too, broke the hug as she sensed how Keramon's hands' began to ball into fists, deciding to pay attention to her surroundings, and only got the last question from Ankh's speech, but she took note of the fact that now Keramon was looking away from him and that Ayaka kept silent, regarding the Hawkmon with a cold, yet intense glare.
Before she could answer to Ankh's question, the demon digimon spoke up. He was complimenting both Ayaka and her for her views, and he offered to take them as his, or Beverly's apprentices. She smiled at the proposal, and even Ayaka seemed to relax a little. "I'am really thankful for your offer, Majin-sama, I promise you that I'll make the most of every teaching, but... I'm just a newcomer... a newbie, and as such I'm no one to chose my teacher, and I really don't want to be a burden to yours or Beverly-sam—Lady Beverly's dispositions, so I'm willing to be under the wing of whomever wants to have have me, be you or her".
Shortly after Mana's question was answered, her partner piped up. "I have a question, though. Earlier, Keramon-san mentioned the words 'members', so I guessed this is some kind of organization. Does it have a name or something that identifies it and its cause? Something to which I can refer and be proud of being part of?".
Indeed, at least for Ayaka, being on a group that fought for the greater good was something to be proud of. Maybe people, or even digimons like Ankh would understand that in due time. Maybe Majin would make him change his posture, because otherwise... it would be a pity, but nobody said that pruning bad weeds would be something that had to make you happy.
And of course, before the conversation would avance even further, Mana quickly approached Keramon again and whispered to his 'ear' again. "If you ever want another hug, just tell me. You're really fluffy, Keramon-san!" having said that, she went to her previous spot as fast as he could.

As he heard Majin's response to his ranting, Ankh just scoffed in response. It wasn't like he refused. It even turned out to be his agreement, in his style. Though he still retained his cynicism about the view of world.
"Fine with me! Let me see if I could achieve my true strength with compassion!"
Ankh then heard Beverly talking about her point of view of strength. The Garudamon considered it as illogical conclusion. Compassion and strength was somewhat contradict each other, in his view. To say they empower each other, was something laughable for him. Now what a power is good for? To destroy, of course! To rule, or to influence.
"Impudent. Power is only good to destroy. Look what happened. Rustport was destroyed, because of the great conflict! People are seeking for power, because of their greed! Because of their refusal and ignorance of their weakness! Their greed meet, and it takes so many lives... As long as humans and Digimons exist, the conflict can't end! This is the reality written on the stone!"
Ankh then could see each of their reactions of his earlier speeches. Unpleased, angered, or even disgusted. He could see it. Some of them thought that Ankh was too cynic and hopeless, while the rest saw him as an evil.
I bet you all surprised, because I'm one of those weaklings! I was born as an artificial Digimon, an experiment subject for their greed over power! Then I ran to a family, who were caring to take care of me. However, my family were murdered by La Famiglia. I was weak at that time, and I feel this pain deep in my heart. For being weak! For being the victim of that fickle fate! That's why I'm seeking power to let them taste a retribution. For ruining my life, and for taking away those dear from me! And to bleach out this rotten world, and to dye it in my image... So that all powers goes to me, and me alone, and everyone don't need to be oppressed anymore..."
Ankh could only blush when that little brat hugged a Keramon. He couldn't stand cute things, really. And of course, the Keramon was really good at his heart despite being blamed as "evil" Digimon. "And as for you, Keramon, and little brat... Do you feel the pain for being weak? For being unable to shape the fate of yours?"

(Gotta jump around a little to react XD)
When Mana hugged him, Keramon's face reddened even further. He literally had no idea what he was feeling, but it wasn't bad. In fact it was rather nice. He gingerly hugged her back, doing his best not to look like he was enveloping her in his long, thin arms. He dropped the hug when Ankh gave his initial speech, and that led to his current negative disposition (which was once again knocked off balance by Mana offering hugs in the future, to which Keramon could only nod to..."Fluffy?").
Yet once again the joy of making a new friend was muddied by a separate event. Keramon finally managed to look at Ankh, holding a gaze that wasn't nasty, but was not exactly pleasant either. However, something was different this time. Ankh shared his story with the group, one that was surprisingly tragic. In that moment Keramon realized that the two of them shared quite a few similarities in their life stories. The virus rookie quickly shifted forward to be the first to respond to the bird digimon. He shrugged off the taunt that Ankh had flung his and Mana's way.
"Ankh...I am no weakling. I could prove that to you, but that is not why we are here. I have done much to shape my fate, but to tell you all about it would take up everyone's time. To keep it short, it seems you and I are of a similar origin. Although I know very little about it, apparently I too was an experiment of sorts. Actually I've heard the word project thrown around a lot so maybe that is closer to the truth. I was saved by my Papa, he was a Jijimon. He stole me away from a bad place and raised me in the desert. Once more to keep things short, they found us and I haven't seen Papa since. I'm...not holding out much hope on that end..." Keramon paused at this, looking forlorn. His composure sharpened once more after a moment.
"It was a simple life but I liked it. Papa had promised to show me the world once he deemed it safe, so it wasn't like I was going to be cooped up in a cave all my life...i'm getting off track sorry. The point is, the one digimon I called family died so that I may live. I still hold the ideals he taught me close to my heart. He always told me "you're not a monster Tsumemon, you can be whoever and whatever you want. There is more strength and joy in friendship than you could ever find in data alone. I believe in you. You will be strong, Tsumemon." That was actually one of the last things he ever said to me. My point is, Ankh, that I could very well have developed your mindset. I understand your pain, but vengeance is not the answer!" Keramon was getting more fired up, passion was seeping into his words.
"I was there briefly myself. Hate and rage and...resignation." The rookie felt a dark pulse in his chest. "I've been there and it...well it just sucks!" Fancy words were out the window. "You made me angry at first but if you had just told us why you felt that way in the first place we could have avoided the nasty looks! I'm asking you now Ankh, please reconsider your path. You can become strong AND be different from the tyrants. I know it!" Keramon was almost shouting at this point. How had he managed to get this riled up? He let himself fall quiet after that, feeling a little awkward at the sudden outburst.
