”You idiot! What did ya do that for?” Takara exploded, finally reaching the tipping point
”I wanted it to do the thing.”
”What thing!”
”You know, the thing, where we can’t just walk off.”
”Of course that doesn’t work, it only did it for you because…..well what made you think it would do anything by throwing it anyway, last time it just sorta happened, didn’t it?”
Takara’s face was red, she was fuming at the apparent stupidity of Whisker. What did he was with dragging only a slightly on fire digimon who didn’t want to come with them anyway? That seemed like one of the stupider things they could come up with given the situation. He was just all action, and no brains, and it was all getting to her. She walked along to the digivice, picking it up again, and repocketing it. She wasn’t going to let Whisker get away with that again.
Whisker on the other hand, was racking his brains for better ways to convince the wizard. As it turned out his bravado and offer of fortunes didn’t seem to be up to scratch. He’d need to come up with something a little more along the clever lines if he wanted to be able to put forward a more convincing argument.
”So, what do you want? Knowledge I’m guessing, and let me tell you one simple fact mister wizard, we happen to be rather fine at getting all that information that you’ll want. All the places we’ll go, the things we’ll explore, it’s a fine way to find all sorts of useful titbits. I can assure you much information is to be gleaned from a healthy travelling party.” No wizard with a real thirst for knowledge could resist his patter, he just knew it.
”You make me curious general, despite my most polite decline you continue to insist. Perhaps I should consider companioning you for a short duration, it would be an interesting expedition at least.”
Whiskers tail began to wag.
