Mana gave Ryuu a bashful smile at him understanding the social implications of the act he was about to carry. Well, at least he understood that such a thing would be seen with questioning eyes, to say the very least. That was a relief.
"Look, if it comes to the 'worst', and she doesn't seem to wake up, I'll carry her myself; it won't be as socially scandalous as if you did, so you don't have to worry about that."
She heard as he explained that he wouldn't lie despite the situation, and that prompted a smile a little wider from her face. After all, and even if he seemed a cool boy and that all stuff, he was a good one at heart, and she appreciated that, but her expression immediately changed when he told her that she didn't saw Aria a girl that he would romance. That relieved and worried her, as strange as that was.
The brunette sighed, her eyes beginning to fill with the smallests amounts of moisture. Her expresion was still resolute, but the sadness on it was almost palpable.
"I get your points, Ryuu-san, but... you know, I don't know almost anything about Aria-chan, but I can almost feel as if I have lived this before, Ryuu-san. I'm asking what I'm asking because I fell for a guy who had behaved like you are now behaving with Aria. He's a little alike you in the sense that he didn't realize what his actions were doing until he got me; until it was just too late. The events that unfolded afterwards were strange, and that's a way to put it midly, but the end result was that he rejected me, and I spend the next days just... crying my heart out. As I said, I can't be sure that Aria-chan is anything like that, but... would you like to do that to her? I know that you have the best of intentions, but please, don't plant feelings in her heart if you're not going to tend them, okay? That's all I ask from you."
She wiped the small trickle of tears that were descending from her face on a quick fashion; she felt that she could relate so much to this situation that it was almost unsettling, but maybe she was just exaggering. but she wasn't going to take risks. A broken heart, even for the shortest amounts of time, was just something that she didn't wish on anyone.

Actually, what's more awkward? Actually conscious when your new friends want to help you but seem to be sort in trouble if they caught in some sort of scandal or actually being shot down after the most facepalming inducing moment of making her (budding) feeling known to the public? Well, it's not like Ryuu's words are wrong either. Aria knows that it's the best anyway. However, the thing is... uh... how to stop this before it goes out of hand? Immediately, Aria jumps when Mana has said her last sentence and utters some word that is completely random. "KENKA WA YAMETE~!? (Would you stop fighting already!?)" However, noticing her mistake that no fight happened, it's almost she self destructed and began to sing something that came out of random. It's needless to say that her voice is good... in fact, it's perfect for a vocalist. However, the dance is just on border of ridiculously crazy and cute at the same time. From the blush however, it's clear that she's actually self destructing instead of doing it to stop her two friends from fighting.

Ryuu was suddenly introduced to a lecture about the feelings of young teenager females by the childish Mana. To the male, her arguments didn't have any sense: he had already said that he held no romantic interest towards Aria, in fact, he was just trying to be nice and make friends as he always did. Maybe it was the japanese mentality that made it so easy to prompt them to think that a western person had a crush on someone? It didn't work that way, at least not in the culture he was used to.
Even if Aria asked them to stop fighting... wait, "fighting"? That wasn't even an argument.
-Listen, Mana. I'm not trying to be rude, or anything like that, but this is getting a little tiring. I don't know the guy you're talking about, but by the sound of it and what you said before about a "Ryo-kun", I'd say you ended up together either way... My point is, I'm not planting any feelings because I already said that they don't exist, at least from my part. Trying to think otherwise isn't exactly smart when I've made myself clear, is it?
Maybe it's just me. I can understand, I mean, I'm the foreigner here. But where I come from, being nice towards a girl doesn't necessary mean you like them. There, things like a kiss on the cheek, hugs or anything like that is completely normal... And here, they're exclusive to your couple or your crush, right? It's so limitating. What children can do there, only from one's teens on can be done here. Wierd, but I have no choice than to get used to it -Ryuu sighed in the end. This japanese culture was indeed bothersome.
-I don't feel like staying away from her because she is nice. If it's going to be like this with all girls around here, I'd better start being an asshole, but then they would get hurt as well... just what am I supposed to do? Ignore her? I'd be lying to myself if I did, because I don't want to play dumb.
He then noticed that Aria had begun singing something under her breath, getting redder and redder. This time, Ryuu didn't say anything and just stood silent. He didn't get japanese people after all.

The situation devolved into something that was somewhat... funny, at least when Ryuu took misjudged the girl's advice and took it as... bothersome. She could bear with that, even if she could give at least four reasons on why he shouldn't.
"Uh, Ryuu-san. You see, I'm..." However, her speech reached a halt when she heard those six words. She felt as if tiny needles pierced her chest, and her eyes began to became moisty right away.
"A-a Japanese girl trying to help you u-understand other Japanese girls. Being a-arrogant was u-uncalled for."
The brunette just didn't understand how somebody could say such hurting words so casually. She just was sincere with him, yet only received a know-it-all attitude from someone whom she had met less than a day ago.
"S-so what if I'm chancing a happy beginning? Even if your a-assumption is correct, do you think that 'y-you ended up together either way' made all the tears j-jump out of my bed and enter back my eyes? D-do you think that the sadness I felt for all that time... just vanished o-out of the blue? I j-just tried to help the two of you out. You're w-willing to disregard it? F-fine, but d-don't dare to try and talk about things you don't know. Now, i-if you excuse me, I f-forgot that I had to do s-something before the end of the l-lunch break."
Picking up both Ayaka and Penny, she quickly hurried downwards, wiping the tears that stained her face the best she could and disregarding the rest of the words spoken.

Aria froze when Ryuu said something unnecessary. She knows exactly how this will gone to. Knowing how dense Ryouta is back then, it's given that he'll hurt her to certain extent... and that's not physically, but mentally. And somehow, that hits her nerve. Mana immediately ran out of the place. Meanwhile... Aria herself is shaking. Seeing how that her new friend was offended so much, she opened her lunchbox once again and aimed it to the silver haired boy's face.
Definitely it'll smear rice all over his face if it hits, and definitely that'll be some reminiscent of a certain scene from a certain anime.
"...You eat that and you don't have to return the box to me. This is the f**king reason why you should know people need to hold themselves sometimes, and even lie while at it. Too afraid of facing the truth? Too afraid of showing themselves to the real world? Well, there are just some things that shouldn't be spoken or dug out or even pointed out, Mr. Too-Sincere-and-Too-Dense. Now excuse me. I have someone to attend to."
Aria quickly braided her hair and goes after Mana after returning back to her prim state of clothing in several minutes. She hopes that she's not too late. Noir followed her close behind.

While Ryuu had been expecting a harsh reaction coming from the two girls, it was nothing like he could've previously anticipated. First, Mana gave him a small lecture about how she had felt when Ryouta said that he didn't like her, she had spent all the following days crying. What? It was completely impossible to get so infatuated with one person in a short amount of time that one would cry after being rejected for days; or so he believed.
If he thought the problems would end right away, he was completely wrong as well. First, Mana went away, obviously crying, followed by her two Digimon. At that time, Aria had frozen in place, but quickly attempted to slam the rest of the food in Ryuu's face. The expressionless teen just tilted his head to successfully avoid the bash with the bento-box in a display of quick reflexes.
It was then when Aria also attempted to lecture him about how, sometimes, holding back things and lying were actually good. The moment she pronnounced those words, however, the teen's gaze became as cold as pure ice, fixed in her eyes as she shaked and kept her speech about feelings. He didn't say a single word as she left, but when she did, his eyes were still fixed on the door Aria had shut behind her.
-"What the hell do you know anyway...?" -he thought, attempting to stay cold and relaxed. Afterwards, he sighed, standing up. He'd guessed that he'd need to apologize afterwards, but still, he wasn't going to take back what he had said. For him, reality was just that: it was not his fault that Aria's feelings had been misplaced when he had already stated, for the third time even, that he wasn't romantically interested in her. Why did the friendly chat had to turn into a soap opera?
-What a pain... -he sighed as he returned to his classroom. Once there, he sat right there as if nothing had happened, talking to the other mates that were asking him where he had been. Disregarding the questions, he introduced himself to them again, then kept the conversation until the teacher came back. English lesson... the teenager just laid back in his chair, staring at the blackboard without giving what had happened a second thought.
