Looking at her hand, Ryouta shook his head. He took some tissue nearby and wrote on it with the same pen she use as he turned on the stove. The writing somehow looks tidy despite him being rather delinquent like... The words there basically the reply of her suspicions.
No, I don't think so. Yuuki never wore something as uncool as warm vest. He'd wear thick zip up jacket, even as a little kid. I think it's really Yuu's classmate, but if he looks panicked when he's looking for your brother, then most likely something is about to happen... I have a really bad feeling about this, but... I'm also very uneasy if we doesn't prepare everything we can do for banishing the oni.
As soon as he done writing, Ryouta washed the tissue on the water to wash it away so that it can no longer be traced.
He was about to ready a bowl of water to wash the beans before he noticed something... they won't have enough time to do it. The more they try to make it, the more Yuu's life probably in danger. Smart move... really smart move. How careless of him! There must be something... SOMETHING to make this works better... It'll be dangerous if somehow Yuu turned out to be their enemy...
I had bad feeling... We need to get other method than the bean... It's impossible if there is weapon here... but basically, if only we can turn the bean into roasted bean somehow...! The time is ticking! We need to know how to freeze the time if possible... There must be a way...!

So, Yuuki wasn't the mysterious friend. It was a relief, as she'd be really worried if him was searching for Yuu. Otherwise, now she began to grow worried about her brother. What if he was in some kind of danger? She could only hope that her brother was alright as Ryouta began to prepare the beans. However, he stopped midway, as if something worried him. He began to write his concerns on a tissue, and Mana's eyes widened at them. So they had limited time and the things wouldn't be ready in enough time? Dang it. She picked up another tissue and began to write her answer. There had to be a away to save Yuu!
Well, time in here was frozen before we accomodated all the stuff, so I guess that if we replicate the exact same thing that will happen again? I don't know what else we can try, but if nii-san's in danger, I'm going to search for him, I don't care what's outside! I'll help him if I can! Otherwise, there isn't some other Shinto practice that will help us to fight the Oni? I can try doing my religion's thing, but I don't know wether it'll be effective or not. It's a risky thing at best.

I don't recall any... other than salt, but that's a general thing because all bad thing can be exorcised with salt, says the old way... but eh, there's a lot of other stuffs... like there's demon-slaying heroes Momotaro or Kintaro... are you familiar with those? But somehow, I don't feel like there's any Digimon or human that fits the bill... I can be Kintaro because as you said, I ever fought bear... not really, but yeah... but as much as possible, I don't want anything that resembling bloodshed... because this is YOUR memory afterall... Who knows what happened if I interfere...
I don't know it there is other method, but now is your call... to make the bean right now... or we go outside and look for your brother regardless of the consequences? I'm not the one to call for it, but I have feeling... that the trial will be done very soon... and the result will be up to you.
So, what shall it be, Mana?

What to do, what to do... Ryouta's note was rather unsettling. So, the method they would use in case that the beans couldn't be roasted in time would be simple salt? She didn't know anything about Shinto, but for some reason that sounded a bit less effective that the original plan. Her mind went through the possibilities. The conditions of the trial were that the Oni wouldn't have to catch them, so, theorytecally, anything could happen to this memory's Yuu and it would be okay. But even having that into account, Mana absolutely didn't want to leave him to his luck. Even if it was an illusion, it was her brother, after all.
She sighed, obviously not knowing what to do. Why this had to be so difficult? If this just were about kicking a bad guy's ass the thing would be solved already.
I... don't know. I just don't know anything about this Oni guy or how dangerous he could be. It's okay to go unprepared? I really don't know what to do. How can Yuu's welfare and this trial be related? This is supposed to be about doubt, so maybe I have to doubt the fact that nii-san's welfare is compromised somehow? Maybe all this is a clever trap. I... just don't know.

Ryouta took a piece of tissue paper again, and wrote something on it. Somehow, it looks rather complex calligraphy. He sighed and backed off a bit to show it to Mana. There are at least three versions, but for more than one reason, the black haired boy does not seem to like this the slightest. However... when he's about to pass it, somehow a jolt of electricity came out from the paper.
"...Ah... so it's like that."
He sighed once more and wrote something on another tissue paper.
...Remember when I said the Oni is not one, but maybe many? Then... there's two Onis here.. Me... and someone else. Regardless of my intention, the world still treated me as an Oni. However, which Oni I am, probably the Oni that means to be your guardian. Still, I don't know why, but the charm seem treated me as a dangerous youkai or sort... Which means, the charm would also work on me... Still, with this, we know that this method is effective... shall we go to search Yuu now?

Mana looked both attentive and puzzled at what Ryouta was doing in this precise moment. He was writing something with great care and precision on a tissue. Apparently he was worried about that? What surprised her the most was that the paper itself seemed to shock the boy? Whoa, that was some strange mojo in action. However, the boy didn't look surprised on the slightest, and as he explained it afterwards, it was because... he was some kind of Oni too? This was just too complex for her to understand, and it was a truth somewhat hard to swallow, but she decided to go with it for the time being.
Apparently, he had written a charm, and it reacted negatively to him. Those were actually great news! That way, they had a way to scare the bad Oni away without losing their time on roasting the beans! Mana smiled as she wrote herself.
Okay, so... with that thing we can go and search for nii-san? Great! Do you need anything else to prepare or we can get going right now? I want to find him as fast as I can! I don't know why, but I feel it like as if he were in some kind of grave donger.

Don't remember, but yeah, these are the things we can use to fight the Oni... but, well... more can't be hurt, right? Just make sure to launch it to them... but the thing is, I wonder if it'll be enough? There's just something that bothers me... the trial is always 'tied' to a Digimon, and without doubt, that means somehow we need to find Dracomon soon or we'll be in danger... I hope he's somewhere...
Ryouta took out his Digivice, a black bodied one with dark green grips. However, his eyes widened when he saw red digital letters written there.
"SOS...!!"
He switched the function to the map one. They're near... Dracomon is somewhere and he might be fighting against someone! How naive he is, not thinking about the Digivice beforehand! How good will his partner hold his ground, he have no idea, but... He should go there ASAP!

Well, finally they were ready! Mana had been itching with anxiousness as Ryouta finished his preparations. He gave her more spare indications as he began to think if these things would be enough. Honestly, she didn't care; she just wanted to run towards wherever her brother was and try to help him. She just wouldn't forgive herself if something happened to him, be that something anything.
After a while, Ryouta began to wonder if Dracomon was here, or if he would play a role on this trial. Mana looked at him with puzzlement; after all, if Dracomon hadn't appeared thus far, the chances he had of appearing again were almost nil, and to be honest with herself, she considered it a waste of time… at least until boy brought out his digivice, becoming frantic on that very second. Another puzzled look took over the girl's features as she tried to see what was written on the device's screen. It was a… SOS message? Shoot.
Without missing a beat, Mana began to go towards her house's door.
"Me and Ryo-kun will go and look out for nii-san, baa-chan! We'll be right back!"
No more words were needed to be said as she exited the house. at least that was for certain.
