They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. Avery stood on the crest of a sand dune, gray-blue orbs peering down at the shape that blurred in and out of her site. Sand particles sparkled as they rained down from being kicked up as Patch ran back and forth, his sword flashing under the hot desert sun.
He had suggested that they come out to Folder Desert where they could train. He was sure, no swore he was positive that he could almost feel the change of his ultimate form coming on.
She dug under her collar and pulled out the crest that hung around her neck. She peered down at the little slip inside. Two circles entwined, each perfectly balanced around the other. She sighed and glanced back up to see her Leomon partner standing still in a swirling tornado of sand. "Patch!" she cried, running down the hill and sliding.

Why Yuu and Kyo were walking across Folder Desert? See, unlike her sister, he actually enjoyed warmer climates a good deal, and Kyo looked to be mostly fine with the Desert too, even if the fur in her Sangloupmon form was somewhat warm.
They were traveling with no clear destination currently, mostly to just get acclimatated to the Digital World after so much inactivity. They had to pick up after that... unfortunate event, and they were doing a good job so far. Kyo had already evolved to champion, and they supposedly had their two Digimentals at their disposition, even if for some reason he couldn't use them right now... maybe something weird was happening? He could only guess as they moved forward.
At the distance, his pale brown eyes saw a figure standing at the top of a dune, but that seemed to be quite agitated after some happening, and began sliding down to hit. With a gentle pat on her mane, Yuu told her partner to go faster. At least they'd have some fun checking out. The girl was sliding towards a Leomon, who was standing in some kind of sandy tornado. Weird. "Hey guys, are you alright?" the Sangloupmon asked from her position as she kept moving forward "Do you need help?"

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. Avery slid against down the crest, the grains of sand shifting around her boots to give way. A few times, she almost tilted forward, but managed to stay mostly upright.
She stumbled at the bottom and caught herself, crawling towards the massive tornado. A gasp caught in her throat as she stared up at the mass of rotating sand from her position on her hands and knees.
She cringed as the rushing in her ears increased, but suddenly there was silence. She blinked against the bright sun just in time to see her partner swing out his sword and slash into the tornado a few times, making it dissipate.
She stood up, blinking in awe, but then a smile crept to her lips. "Good job partner," she said.
The champion smiled down at her, even though it was rimmed with sharp teeth. "I told you, you worry too much." he said. She just shrugged dismissively and turned her head when a voice caught her attention.
A Sangloupmon was dashing towards them. Narrowing her eyes, she could see a narrow figure riding on top of it. As they neared closer, she saw that it wasn't Tatsuya, who she knew had a Sangloupmon as one of his form's for Dorumon.
"Hey guys, are you alright? Do you need help?"
AJ smiled at the newcomers. "Oh hi. Sorry to worry you. We're just doing a bit of training out here. I"m AJ. It's short for Avery Joel. And this is my partner Patch."

Huh, it seemed that they had anything under control, as the Leomon had just slashed that tornado away. Yuu had to admit that it was a rather skillful display, and that the lion man looked to be a really strong digimon.
The boy looked at the Leomon's partner attentively, as she seemed to be a girl she had not known yet. She seemed to be around his age, maybe a year younger than him or so. She was rather short, at least compared to him and looked to be foreigner. Well, non-Japanese was the actual term, as they both were in the Digital World and there every human was a foreigner.
After Avery introduced herself, Kyo leapt to the current position of the pair, and Yuu descended from her back and soon after the wolf sat. The boy was currently sporting a neutral expression, not particuarly happy, but not particularly unhappy. He brought out a cellphone and began typing on it with one hand as she bowed slightly to the girl.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Avery-san, Patch-san" came the robotic voice of his cellphone's text-to-speech program "My name is Tsumura Yuu, but Yuu's just fine and My partner over here is Kyo. So, training huh? Any specific reason? Gotta say that a lot of weird stuff has been happening recently in this place, but training alone in the middle of the desert doesn't seem to be the most effective way to train, but with the things that had happened recently, it wouldn't surprise me that one of those animal guys appeared out of the blue and started to wreak havoc just for kicks and giggles".

From distance away, Ryouta flies with Coredramon. For what reason? He himself have no idea, but... he felt as if he need to search for something... something so crucial, something that missing from him... Also, he have no idea what to say to Koharu when she asked him if he consent her relationship with... his girlfriend's (?) brother. Honestly, that's the most awkward thing ever. Now, the black haired teen is looking for a place to train... to train both himself and his partner... He has yet to master his Wingdramon form.
Ryouta looked at his D-3, which right now with strange mix of silvery pale blue and rustic moss green grip. Not only that, the body is ashy grey, signifying his dual side. It's rather an eyesore, and he doesn't like that the slightest. Despite the Choushinka mode seem to still retain the previous coloring, it doesn't seem that it'll go back to how it is previously.
"...I need it to settle down soon..." he muttered.
"Aniki, I saw someone familiar nearby!" Coredramon informed.
"Eh?"
Ryouta looked at where Coredramon has pointed his claw and he saw AJ... and from the look of it, Patch, too! The lion man looks like in trouble! Right when he was about to help, he saw a Sangloupmon approaching. Is it Tatsuya? Still, he ordered Coredramon to descend down right at where they are.
"AJ, Patch, you OK?" Ryouta asked to the duo after confirming that they're indeed their friends from before. Still, it looks like they're fine, so he's about to look at the Sangloupmon... and he's really in for surprise. Ryouta swallowed his saliva and forced a smile, albeit right now, it's clear what's in his mind... Koharu has warned him, and boooy... he hoped he's not in for another overprotective brother session...
"E...ehehehe... hello to you, too, Yuu..."

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. Avery's gray-blue orbs widened as the boy began to type into his cell phone and a robotic voice sounded as a reply to her introduction. Although the Italian tamer was initially surprised, she smiled. "Well, it's nice to meet you. And we're just training...well, because I guess we needed to," she gave a soft laugh, rubbing the back of her head.
She put her hand down and continued, "Yeah, I don't know if it's the most effective, but Patch really wanted open space. So we came here. And you're right. A lot of strange things have been happening. I'm guessing you're referring to the Devas."
Just then, Patch's head darted to the left. AJ glanced in the same direction her partner was staring, narrowing her crystalline gaze. Sure enough, as Patch's eyes were much sharper than his tamers, a small dark figure was growing closer and closer.
"AJ, Patch, you OK?"
As the form became more clear, AJ waved and smiled. "Hey!" she called. When they landed, she grinned. "Yeah, we're find Ryouta. Just doing a bit of training."
She glanced between the two boys when Ryouta greeted Yuu, albiet a little nervously by the tone of his voice. "So you guys know each other?" she asked, tilting her head in a cute way.

Yuu nodded at Avery's words about the training. If he was being truthful to himself, maybe it was the most intelligent thing to do, even alone. Yet, at the mention of the Devas... "Yup, the very same guys. It seems that you've faced them previously. May I..."
Before he could continue, a somewhat large blue dragon landed just were they were, and on to of it, as Karin called him 'The' Noguchi Ryouta. It was a very interesting turn of events, indeed. At his nervous greeting, he just waved at him, on a apparently calm expression that deep within it just hid something undecipherable. Smirking for a split second, he decided to play a little game with them, hoping that Ryouta will not be as dense as he remembered him. If not, at least he would have a good laugh.
"Of course we know each other, don't let his nervous tone fool you, Avery-san" the cellphone began again "We've some shared aquaintances, but eventually we even became like brothers. Don't you think the exact same thing, Ryouta? Speaking common aquaintances, I'm looking for a person that you may know, Avery-san; I don't know her name, but she's like a little bit taller than you, has honey eyes, short brown hair and an almost unhealthy fondness of both pink and hoodies. Her partner is a smallish plant fairy with quite the temper. Maybe you have seen her? And if you did, what do you think of her and her partner? Patch-san's opinion is quite welcomed too, of course".

Ryouta nervously adverted his gaze to the side when AJ asked him if he know Yuu... Know is not the words, but well... he guess it's right for now. However, when Yuu started to 'talk', he flinched on spot and wondered if he already consented it... or basically just playing around with him. Ryouta's expression grows more and more nervous, although he's still (awkwardly) smiling.
"...Yeah, I'm definitely thinking about the same alright... but first, I'm not in for any overprotective talk... Spare me and I'll spare you about Koharu."
Still, if any, Yuu's talk would most probably be much scarier than his talk, considering he's not really the greatest person around for talks like that. He'll probably just give a fair warning instead of countless drilling like Yuu would... and honestly... he's really not in for anything like that. But considering that maybe AJ would be confused, Ryouta would take his best course of action. To gamble with words.
"....Uh so, basically... Yuu here is... how to say it... Well, he's dating my 'little sister', not biologically, but someone who is really close with me to be a little sister. And as for me..." he sighed before continuing. "I might get myself killed for this, or in for another overprotective talk, but... let's say I'm in a relationship his sister, and I never regretted any moment of it."
He now fully turned to Yuu, scratching the back of his head. "Last time I saw Mana, it's when we're walking together to school then I gave her bento. Afterward, I told her that I need to train for a bit, and... well, I always keep my D-Terminal on in case she need me.... is that not good enough?"

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. So it seemed since the other one was dating the others sisters, they seemed particularly protective. Of course, AJ could understand. Although she was not in a dating situation, she knew that Tatsuya, although he was not her biological brother, was pretty protective.
She still wore a smile as the two boys interacted, and laughed when Yuu made the comment that their conversation was probably boring her. She shrugged. "It's not really boring. I understand you wanna protect your sisters."
"Say, AJ? What are you doing in here? I mean, why exactly are you here?"
AJ twisted her lips in thought. It was a rather strange explanation, but she had told Yuu the same thing earlier. "In reality, just training."
Patch moved forwards this time. He remembered Ryouta from a few months ago, but Ryouta may not have seen Patch in this form yet. "Yes, I wished to have solitude. I believe I am getting close to my ultimate form."
AJ added next, "What are you guys doing out here, by the way? It's been a while Ryouta."

Definitely the gambit was worth it, even if Yuu had recieved an answer that he didn't quite like from Ryouta. If Yuu was honest with himself, he expected some kind of lecture (even if it were a mild one, as he had figured that Ryouta was more of an action man) towards the fact that he now dated Koharu, but using that to avoid getting what he thought about his relationship with her sister? To the boy it seemed... a tad cheap. He looked at Ryouta with an authoritative face, almost as a scolding parent would. "No, you won't spare me the talk just as I won't spare you, lest you don't have any kind of appreciation towards Koharu? I expected better from you, Ryouta, to be honest...".
Even if he didn't have the best of dispositions due to that answer, he still palmed Ryouta's back on a encouraging manner; he didn't have any reason to be afraid of him, and if he had talked to Karin, he should knew that even if he would be irked by the fact that her young and pure sister now went out with a person, it was her decision at the end of the day, and things would become just easier if he accepted that (even though he had no qualms on doing small tests to the relationships stability. That was his duty as big brother). While expecting the other boy's reaction, he heard Avery's comments about her sister and Patch's about Ayaka, getting out of his light bad disposition almost instantly to smile lightly at them. "That's nice to hear. Glad both of them are making new friends in here. I heard that the fight against Vikaralmon was quite hard, but that you could get out of it mostly unscathed. Thinking about an enemy so powerful makes me wonder who or what's exactly behind all this stuff, and if there's a way to stop it".
However, it seemed that Ryouta reedemed himself, finally speaking her heart out of her relationship with Yuu's sister, and even saying that he didn't regret that for one second. "I won't kill just yet" the boy 'said', snickering silently "But I gotta say that that,s the spirit. I was starting to wonder if you still were a true man or not, and to grow worried about that very fact too"
His mood up lightened up mood considerably, at least until he heard the bit about being 'good enough' or not. "This isn't about being good enough or not, Ryouta. Mainly because... Nothing is good enough for Mana-chan, and you should already know that. But I guess that I have to thank you for taking care of her. Just keep it that way and don't make her 'cry cry' or we'll really have to have small talk, but I digress; we'll talk about that later. This topic will most likely bore Avery-san, as I don't think that a protective big brother drilling some sense into her sister's boyfriend's head is something she really wants to see or bear".

"Well, you're free to give me the warning talk as long as you want, but if I give you one, I'll get chewed by Koharu and she will be all pouty with me... not going to have that. Don't tell me something like 'it's just secret between the six of us' because she can coax information from anyone if she wanted to. She's so much like you that she really can be a good information stealer, geesh... But lemme just say this as minimum anyway... Make her cry and I'll beat you up, even if it means that Mana would be so angry to me, even if that means she would chew me," the muscular boy gave a fair warning.
The boy chuckled when the other boy seem to approve his way of saying that he have no regrets. "...Well, I don't think you two would want me spend my time praising my girlfriend either, so let's just stop at that---" but quickly gulped when Yuu told him nothing is good enough for Mana. "Well, yeah, I agreed, but I'm willing to take that test both you and your parents would give to me. Yeah, let's stop this... so... Say, AJ? What are you doing in here? I mean, why exactly are you here?"

At Ryouta finally manning up and rising to his old self, Yuu could only smile. "Don't worry, if I ever make her you can be sure that the next person who'll knock your door will be me with a bullseye painted up in my arse. Any less wouldn't be fitting to the situation".
Quickly nodding when they agreed to drop the conversation topic, purposely avoiding the 'taking his test' bit. It was fine that he wouldn't kill Ryouta right away for dating with his sister, but the approval would be a really long and painful (?) process. After all, the boy had to make sure that Ryouuta would be serious with her, and that took way more time than this.
Finally dropping the topic, he looked with curiosity at Patch. "Ultimate, huh? Sounds nifty. I'm picking up to ropes again after a long hiatus due to... external reasons. Kyo can only reach champion thus far, but I guess that it'll be a matter of time before she can go ultimate too. Have you attained it already, Ryouta?" yet, what caught his attention more was the fact that he just realized the familiarity that Ryouta and AJ used to treat each other "Maybe Avery-san had already done the question, but it seems that you two know each other. Old friends, I suppose?".

"Count me to do the same when it happened to Mana," Ryouta replied back. "Although I think you would sic Kyo at me... speaking of which, so Kyo is a Sangloupmon, eh... I guess it's fitting for a Salamon! A friend of mine also have Sangloupmon and he's also quite close with AJ... Like a big brother, right, AJ? Well either way... training, huh? I was going to myself, but I wonder where's nice place for that..."
Then, the Leomon from before approached. Ryouta was rather surprised to heard him talk... it's completely different from the Patch he know back in the past. The black haired boy nodded at his reasoning. He understand that peoples wanted to be strong and of course Digimon have plus of wanting to be strong because being strong equal to better strength to protect the tamer.
"Yeah, already got it, Yuu. I just feel the rush and suddenly I can use it. It's not readily available to use like Mana, though, but basically, I can use it to certain extent. Because rarely used, there's a feeling that Wingdramon isn't exactly on his top form... Also, sorta old friend, yeah. We meet once in her small live concert in a cafe."

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. The topic of their brother-sister dating relationship dropped, but Yuu commented about his own Digimon's abilities. "Champion, huh? That's cool," she said, glancing up at her own champion partner.
When Yuu asked if they were old friends, she nodded, mentally recalling the day she had met him and Tatsuya at the cafe where she had sung. Ryouta beat AJ by retelling that they were friends, and even commenting about Tatsuya's Sangloupmon.
"Yeah, we all met just a little bit after I moved to Shibuya. We met at a cafe on Cat Street."
At the mention of Mana, and Ryouta and his partner not being able to fully obtain their Ultimate level at any particular time, she nodded. "That's why we're here. Patch was able to digivolve to SaberLeomon, but ever since then, he's been having some trouble. But we do have our Armor Egg," she said, pulling down the collar of her shirt enough to show what looked like a red-and-gold tattoo under her left collarbone."
