OOC: Experience in the field 1/4 begins here.
A Sangloupmon ran through a forest, a human atop its fit and athletic body, prepared for the perfect predator to act should the opportunity present itself. As the wolf galloped, avoiding the trees that made up the thick forest that covered most of the Eastern Timberlands, Tatsuya took a look at a picture he had taken from the "help needed" board in the Village of Begginings. His eyes glanced to the Digital World's letters that the D-3 had translated into Japanese so it would be readable by the young man.
It was a simple, yet clear message: they needed someone to drill some sense into the minds of the new generations that were preparing themselves to fight in the Spartan Training Grounds. Normally, that chance would've been disregarded, but after hearing that a certain "plant-like Digimon" had also been there, a loud growl would come out from Tatsuya's partner, who had became interested in the topic as soon as he discovered that Ayaka was one of the Digimon who had taken that job, although he couldn't know what she did at that moment.
Gripping tighter onto his partner's majestic fur, the young man began discerning the end of the forest, where the first tents and a building were set. It had to be there, their travel being very fast. He didn't have to use MetalGreymon, for they weren't that far away, and it would consume much more energy than he intended. -Wow, pal, chill. You've been very fast, why so hasty? Relax! -the human asked his partner.
-Ayaka must've taught them a lot of nonsense. Hence, I'm responsible to teach them how to fight the proper way, not attempting to solve their problems through dialoguing. They'll have time for that when they don't have to worry 'bout getting killed due to their weakness -the wolf said, while grinning, as he pounced out of the thick mass of trees, reaching the village.
Soon enough, they stood among the many tents that were set in perfect order, each of them probably offering shelter to up to two, or even three different Digimon. Sangloupmon then degenerated into Dorumon once again, a flash of purple light returning to Tatsuya's D-3. It had been a while since they had used that form, but it always felt good, regardless. A nice way of moving around without getting noticed, that was for sure.
-Now, where should we head...? Perhaps to the building? They might be out, though... -the teen asked himself.

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. Avery rode a top Patch as he moved silently and swiftly through the dense foliage of the Eastern Timberlands forest. His black metal body was slick and she had to hold on to the two metal cannons protruding from the armor ultimates back.
She laid low, ebony locks flying behind her like a cape in the wind. At first, going this fast had been pretty scary, but she was quickly getting used to it and was actually beginning to enjoy it.
AJ felt his body lengthen and contract, but Patch was actually starting to slow down. She straightened up and blinked when the Jagerloweemon had come to a stop. "Hey what's wrong, Patch?"
"I smell Dorumon."
A smile lilted on the young tamer's face. "Oh Dorumon and Tatsuya must be near here. Wanna go find them?"
Her question was affirmed by a growl. Although this might sound threatening, it was how he communicated in this form. They trekked their way through the woods until they came to a sign that read "Spartan Training Grounds." "So they're here, huh? I guess they're doing a bit of training."
She hopped off and held out her D3. A dark light shot out and engulfed Patch, who shrank back down to his Mikemon size.
Stepping inside, they were greeted by rows and rows of tents then the familiar faces of Tatsuya and his partner, who was now sporting his Rookie form, Dorumon. "Hey guys!" she called as she dashed forward to the older teen whom she looked at as an older sibling. "What are you guys doing here?"

Tatsuya's eyes surveyed the nearby structures, looking for the correct one. Nobody seemed to be around, so they would be alone for a while. What a pity! He wanted to get down to business, since it would be very fun to see Dorumon trying to teach other Digimon how to fight. He couldn't help but to wonder if his partner would adopt the drill-sergeant type of figure or a more fatherly one... due to his pricky personality, the young man knew it would most likely be the first one. Sighing, he was just about to let himself drop on the slightly humid grass, when his eyes caught a glimpse of a familiar, femenine figure dashing towards them.
-What are you guys doing here? As a black haired girl met them with a plain sentence, Tatsuya smirked, then faked a pout. He approached as well, his hand ruffling her hair in an affectionate way. -Ow, that greeting was very bad! I hope you'd be happier to see me, Ave! -he said, then smirked in a joking way. It was most likely that the Cipriano knew that he was joking, just as always. Were there times that the Kazan was serious? Yeah, but one could count them with the fingers of a hand.
-Well, we came because of this... -he muttered, showing her the picture on his Digivice so she could get a glance at the job's description. -It was pasted around the Village of Begginings, and we were not going to come at first, but my pal heard that Ayaka came here and trained these newbies. Dunno if you know her, but their personalities are... clashing, to say the least, so he wants to drill her teachings out of their baby brains -he explained with a sigh, his partner looking at Avery.
-I swear to God, that Digimon gets me on my nerves. How can she be so stiff...? I'll never get it. Either way, it's great to see you both again! -the Dorumon greeted them as well, happy to see their friends. -Don't worry, I'm not asking you to sing again... When I'm Dorumon my brain works better instead of being baby-like. It's a pain, but what can I do...? -the Rookie told their friends, but then tilted its head to the side.
Countless Digimon were approaching, led by a bigger one. -You! Who are you and what are you doing here? Looking for some training!? -the apparent leader, a GeoGreymon, asked them. -We're just here for the job. Don't you need help with the Digimon around here? Well, we're your men... -he muttered, not realizing that he was perhaps drawing Ave to their little task.

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. -Ow, that greeting was very bad! I hope you'd be happier to see me, Ave! -
AJ closed her eyes and pushed at him as he ruffled her hair. When she managed to get his hand away from her, she smoothed her ebony locks back into place and blinked at his greeting, then laughed. "Hey, you know what I mean. It's just surprising I guess, but we do bump into each other."
As the older teen explained why they were there, it clicked into place. They had just previously been at the Village of Beginnings with Elson and another Digimon who spoke with a funny dialect called Vetina.
When Tats explained about the job, it made sense. AJ had done a few jobs around the Digital World and had gotten paid in some way or another. It had also been a way of making a few friends.
"Of course I know Ayaka. I've been with Mana a few times. But I mean, I guess I can understand." The Italian tamer shrugged. "She's nice," she said. AJ never really had a bad thing to say about anyone, unless they were hurting one of their friends.
Patch just glanced at Dorumon sideways, with a wicked grin. "She's a stuck up wilted flower. Maybe she needs to get her roots wet."
AJ blinked, a blush creeping over her face. "Patch!" she yelled, but was interrupted as the ground thundered around them as a GeoGreymon, which AJ found out by pulling out her D3 and pointing it at them, approached and demanded to know what they were doing there.
-We're just here for the job. Don't you need help with the Digimon around here? Well, we're your men...-
AJ tilted her head. "Uhm, we?"

The older male grinned widely as he funnily attempted to get his hand out of her now messed black locks, until he gave in and let Avery pull it away of her head. The italian girl blinked with surprise at his greeting, and then spoke again, laughing in the process, telling him that they bumped at each other very frequently. The older teen closed his eyes to complete his grin. -And I'm glad we get to see each other! It's been a while since I've seen some good friends of mine. Plus, we both know that friendships can disappear from our lives easily... that's why I like seeing you around, dummy -he finished with a soft chuckle.
Dorumon's furry ears pointed upwards when Tatsuya's "little sister" told them that they had been with Mana a couple times. Letting out a snort, he was then talked to by Patch, who mischievously made a comment about the plant Digimon while smiling wickedly. When he mentioned that she was a stuck up, wilted flower that needed to get her roots wet, the fox-like creature began laughing loudly, amused by his friend's attitude towards Ayaka. -Exactly! She's a tight-ass who won't keep quiet about anything... She seems to have a problem with everything I say, so I might as well bring a few matches just in case we meet her again! -the other Rookie laughed as Avery scolded Patch.
It was then when the GeoGreymon had appeared before them, behind him a plethora of different Digimon who wouldn't go pass the Rookie level. Avery pointed her D-3 towards it in a quick reaction, which prompted a violent reaction on the Champion, of course, with Tatsuya quickly standing in front of her, his arms extended as he tried to prevent a fight. -What? You want some of this? Well, come and get it! -Whoooooa! Easy there, Ave! We're not here to fight, so don't worry! Also, GeoGreymon, don't do anything you can regret. I'm warning you... hurt her, and your recruits will be the least of your problems -he said in a dark voice, but then returned to his usual, friendly self.
-So, fill us with details... oh, wait. Ave, you don't have to get involved in this if you don't want to, okay? Though it'd be much funner with someone around! -the Kazan told her, with the Champion smirking. -Hmpf. Even if your answer was a complete disrespect towards me, a Staff Sergeant, I like your attitude, human. Come with me -the dragon said, guiding them as the others returned to their tents, having earned a rest. They seemed to be just in time for the training session, since that could easily be a morning jog.
-Oh, the girl is coming too! If she doesn't help our purpose, I won't let her leave that easily, not after her threaten with that Digivice -the dinosaur roared, with Tatsuya directing him a strange look. How could he know what Digivices were...? Oh, true, Mana had been there as well.
-Well... It seems you've got no choice, so bear with me, will you? -he grinned, sticking out the tip of his tongue at her for a second.

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. Avery smiled. The Kazan was correct. She was very familiar with how it felt for friendships to fade away, but as of lately, she had been able to maintain them. Really, it was all thanks to becoming a tamer. She was about to say something the GeoGreymon thundered his way up to them.
Patch snickered into one of his clawed gloves when Dorumon made the comment about the matches. "Oh yeah, then we would really have to douse her," he said, despite another look being shot at him by AJ.
When the champion asked her if she wanted "some of this" she blinked rapidly then brought her hands up and shook her head, raven locks flying. "No, no. I'm sorry. I'm was using it to read about you. Please accept my apology" she murmured apologetically before bowing.
Her eyes widened as Tatsuya stepped in front of her, taking control of the situation. A small smile was brought to her lips when he threatened the Greymon if he hurt her. "Thanks Tats," she whispered.
-Oh, the girl is coming too! If she doesn't help our purpose, I won't let her leave that easily, not after her threaten with that Digivice -
"I wasn't threatening you..." she muttered and sighed, before glancing over at Patch. He nodded and proceeded to bound over to her on all fours.
She just stuck her tongue back out at Tatsuya in response to his and followed after the champion-level dinosaur.

Dorumon grinned wickedly as Avery's Digimon partner kept agreeing with him in every subject about Ayaka, this time purposing the fox-like Rookie to douse Mana's partner. The Rookie's grin increased in width as a mischievous look appeared in his eyes: it was clear that he was loving the plan. -We're going to teach her a lesson, one she won't forget in a very long time... finally I find someone who thinks the same way I do! -the fox-like creature growled, though it was an amused sound, as if it was purring.
When Tatsuya stepped between AJ and GeoGreymon, the girl hastily apologized, as that reaction had just been a reflect that she'd probably gained throughout her travels across the Digital World. A hostile looking Digimon could easily mean trouble, so it was a switch for many Tamers to bring out their D-3 without hesitation, though they could misunderstand: everyone could be wrong at times. She explained that she had just used it to read him, but the creature didn't buy it, so the Greymon subspecies just kept asking her to come at him if she was up for a fight.
Still, Tatsuya's warning, for it couldn't be called a threat coming from the laid-back teenager, made the dinosaur change his mind and drop the issue right there. Unbeknownst to him, Avery had smiled when he stepped to defend her, and expressed her gratefulness with a whisper; a simple "Thanks, Tats" that made him half-smile slightly as well. -Don't mention it, Ave -he whispered back, happy that things hadn't gotten nasty as the creature lead them to the main barracks.
Once they had entered the building, the Geogreymon began talking once again, disregarding what had happened moments ago. -Alright, then, listen up, humans! My name is GeoGreymon, and I'm the Staff Sergeant responsible of training the new generation for battles to come! Normally everything would go smoothly, though this year's promotion is the only one that has given me trouble within the last ten Digitama cycles! I have been trying to teach them the art of fighting, how to think strategically, and most of all, discipline, to no avail.
I recall having paid two other Tamers, but in the end they left without training more than a bunch of the recruits, so your duty will be to turn these pushovers into a force to be reckoned with in the future! Now there... any questions? -the dinosaur roared with a loud voice. It was very clear that it was in the army judging by the strength of its voice alone. The Dorumon stepped forward, looking at one of the pieces of furniture where a beret stood. Taking it with his paws, he adjusted it on its head.
-Digimon are the best to teach other Digimon, so I guess I just have to get Ayaka's teachings out of their heads. I'm sure the most important thing she told them was how to water your garden... Tell me, GeoGreymon, when do we begin? I'm eager to start -the Rookie asked. -After their break is over, in ten minutes, so prepare yourselves! You've got permission to train them as you want to.
A malicious smile was drawn in Dorumon's face.

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. Patch grinned in response to Dorumon. It would be entertaining to say the least to see a little bit of conflict. He had no interest in hurting the fairy plant, but it didn't mean a "friendly spar" wasn't out of the question. But he didn't say anything else as they followed the GeoGreymon into what seemed the main building.
Alright, then, listen up, humans!
So they were here to train some Digimon. By the looks of it, they had been all at the Rookie level. AJ swallwed nervously. They had reached their Ultimate level and even had acquisition of their two Digimental, but that didn't necessarily mean they were qualified to teach others to fight. It seemed just to come naturally to Patch and AJ just rooted for him on the sidelines.
-Digimon are the best to teach other Digimon, so I guess I just have to get Ayaka's teachings out of their heads. I'm sure the most important thing she told them was how to water your garden... Tell me, GeoGreymon, when do we begin? I'm eager to start - Dorumon said.
"Yeah, I'm gonna teach these Digimon to be mean, lean Digital Monster machines!" Patch quipped.
The fifteen-year-old tamer just smiled and shook her head at how lame her partner was. "So, you really wanna do this too, Patch?"
The Mikemon nodded, clenching his gloved hands in determination. There was an obvious spark in his amber eyes. AJ sighed and shrugged. "Okay then. But maybe you should digivolve."
Holding out her D3, and casting a glance over at the champion level dragon to make sure he didn't go berserk, and a light shot out, enveloping her partner. "MIkemon shinka! Leomon!" The six-foot tall lion man now replaced the smaller cat-like Rookie from earlier, his blue eyes still holding the same determined spark, but a much more serious expression.

OOC: Experience in the field (2/4) begins here
So, in the end it had come down to that. Mikemon had digivolved into Leomon thanks to Avery's intervention, but Tatsuya thought that making his partner evolve into Champion would make him question him if his Rookie form didn't seen serious enough, which it didn't, but he didn't want to hurt his partner's pride, so the dark-brown haired thought that he'd play along for that time. Shooting a meaningful gaze at Avery, he smirked. -I feel sorry for the poor Digimon. I mean, our partners are very rough, aren't they? I'm surprised Patch didn't get that softness of yours, Ave! -he grinned a little, and then watched his Dorumon leaving the building.
The Kazan followed suit, gesturing Avery to come with them as well. In the way, the fox-like Rookie asked GeoGreymon a question. -So... am I allowed to use the typical jargon or would it be count as disrespectful? -the mischievous smile widened, and it got met by the Champion's approval. -Sure. Feel free to talk to those milk drinkers however you'd like -the Greymon subspecies told him as they made their way to the tents.
With a powerful roar, the Staff Sergeant called every recruit to an open area, where the new instructors would be able to address them properly. As the plethora of Rookie and In-Training leveled Digimon entered their typical formation, the GeoGreymon introduced the two Digimon and Tamers to all of them. -Now hear me, you bunch of idiots! These are Dorumon and Leomon, and they'll be in charge for your training until I say otherwise. Complain, and I'll swear to all I hold holy I'll stick my clawed foot up your arses! Is that clear?! -the Digimon roared as everyone gulped and Tatsuya let out a soft chuckle. He knew his partner would be smirking.
-Now, why don't you go and personally talk to some of them?! They can use a little bit of quarreling! -the dinosaur said before giving them freedom to act. Dorumon asked a question out loud. -So, which ones of you know a Digimon called Ayaka?! -he roughly asked as some of them rose their paws, hands, or whatever they had available. Going next to one of them, he stared at it closely and directly to the face. It was a Terriermon.
-All right, now tell me. What's your name!!?? -the dragon-like Digimon said. -I... Ar... Er... -it began, but was cut mid-sentence by Tatsuya's partner. -Well sweet father Yggdrasil and all the angels in the Empyrean Skies! YOU SOUND LIKE A MAJESTIC FUCKING BIRDRAMON! -the Digimon shouted as the Terriermon backed off a little. -Get your arse ready, because there's nothing I hate more than INDECISIVE MAGGOTS LIKE YOU!!!
Tatsuya facepalmed, but still wanted to laugh. With that beret and the way it spoke, his partner truly seemed like a "drill sergeant".

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. -I feel sorry for the poor Digimon. I mean, our partners are very rough, aren't they? I'm surprised Patch didn't get that softness of yours, Ave! -
Avery took note that Dorumon remained in his Rookie form, but didn't question it further. She glanced over at the older teenager and stuck her tongue out at the boy. "Yeah welll, I'm surprised Dorumon didn't take after your lame jokes. His jokes are probably funny." She laughed and looked at the tall lion-man. "He's a lot more serious in this form. So I thought, if we're gonna actually do this, he needed to be able to be assertive."
The recruits came out of their tents. They ranged from in-training to rookie. It was almost like having little kids at boot camp, but then again, they were Digimon and it was kind of part of them.
Her gray-blue orbs shifted and followed Dorumon as he made his way through the tents and stopped at a few Digimon and began yelling.
She blinked and glanced at the Kazan worriedly. "I knew Dorumon was pretty vicious, but where did this come from?"
Her eyes traveled to her own partner, wondering how he was going to take this new status he had been given. The lion man made his way to his own group and stared down at them with piercing blue orbs.
He opened his mouth, baring rows of sharp fangs., "Alright soldiers! I want to see you moving! if I see one of you stop for one second, you'll be running double time!"
The in-trainings and Rookies stuttered and fumbled before splitting and running around in a somewhat single file line. AJ just smiled, shakily, laughing a bit.

It seemed that for once, Avery was ready to talk back to Tatsuya's teases. Sticking her tongue out at him, she told him that she was very surprised Dorumon hadn't taken after his "lame jokes", adding that the Rookie Digimon's would probably be better. The older teenager got close to her again and attempted to tickle her a little in a brotherly way: she truly was like a little sister to him.
-Whoa, Ave, that sarcasm was so sharp it almost cut my right cheek! Nice try, but you're going to need a lot more to piss me off, remember: I have a little brother. Oh, and it seems you're beggining to take after my lame jokes as well, or didn't you tell me that back at the café with Aria? -the teen playfully said, with Dorumon shouting a loud "Shots fired!" in order to tease the two of them a little. However, she quickly turned back to her calmer self, explaining why she had made Patch digivolve.
When they went outside, Dorumon immediately got rough with one of the recruits who had met Ayaka during the time she had been there. The Cipriano was immediately taken aback by his sudden viciousness and asked Tatsuya about it. The latter just laughed in an amused way, then proceeded to explain to the girl. -I think I can explain! Back when he was a newborn, the few times I let him at home he watched TV... one day he asked me what a "drill sergeant" was, since he had seen one in a show, and he's been wanting to do the same for quite some time now.
The fact that Ayaka taught those guys doesn't help either: he thinks she is a complete annoyance, even if he managed to be nice to her once or twice. I gotta say, it's kind of a feat for him to have been able to do it! -the half-japanese Tamer said, watching how Patch made the recruits run in a straight line. Dorumon followed the Champion, running as well and looking at another recruit.
-I want to know your name, recruit!!! -it shouted, as the BlackAgumon answered back without hesitaiton. -My name is BlackAgumon, and I'm here to become stronger! -it immediately replied, with Dorumon smiling at the display of determination. -Good! I like you already! Now run, and prove yourself to Patch and me! -it roared, cheering the recruit. Tatsuya then looked at Avery with mischief and grabbed her forearm gently.
-C'mon, let's go too! -the eighteen-year-old said, running and attempting to pull her with him, though if she didn't want to, he'd let her go. He wasn't going to force her to do exercise, of course!

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. She just laughed at Tatsuya when he made fun her of sense of humor and laughed even harder when Dorumon shouted "shots fired" at them. He then went into a quick explanation as to why Dorumon had taken the sudden personality change. It did make sense.
"Yeah, I left Patch alone one day with the TV and next thing I know he's trying order some kind of machine that cuts vegetables into noodles."
Patch had came up to a group and growled. One of them cowered, but the other one, a Palmon, stood straight up, greenish-blue eyes shining with pride. Patch smirked and saluted them. "Alright soldiers, if you wanna hit champion, you better get out there and run!"
AJ found her arm being tugged gently and she glanced down to see Tatsuya pulling her along. She laughed and darted after the older teen, but he was definitely much faster and more athletic than her. She jogged along, trying to keep pace and trying to keep her breathing even as well.
Patch moved to the rear of the group, a little closer to AJ. He began yelling out some random chant, that really, the Italian tamer, had no idea what he was saying at all, but voices of various tones were calling out the same chant and it seemed to be increasing morale.

As Tatsuya gently pulled Avery towards the group of running Digimon, she laughed, and darted behind him, probably attempting to keep the pace up. The young man knew that she wasn't into sports at all, so it could probably be hard on her if they kept running for a long time, so he made sure to be checking every now and then to see if she fell behind at some point to stop, or at least decrease his own pace. Still, that moment didn't seem to come, which made him feel more at ease.
Patch kept running behind the group, shouting at them as if attempting to follow the chant Patch had been singing, pausing in between the sentences to allow those recruits to chant as well. -I met a 'Mon in the human world! -he paused, hearing the response and smiling to himself. -Was a stuck up bitch with her hair curled! -as the soldiers repeated, he couldn't help but to laugh as the mental image of Mana's partner came to mind.
Tatsuya smirked: the rhyme wasn't that good, but at least it proved that Dorumon had a small capability for inventing chants. He wondered when could he have the time to learn "I had a girl down in New Orleans", the original version of what his partner was singing, but he didn't care that much either way, so he just let loose of the thought and looked at Avery with a half grin. -Keep it up, soldier! -the older teenager playfully stated, as they kept running behind the group.
Just as the morale became increasingly higher, Dorumon commanded everyone to stay put with a loud shout. -ALRIGHT, SOLDIERS, STOP! -the Rookie Digimon roared, prompting the Digimon in the army to cease their running motions and look at him. Tatsuya's partner watched them rest for some seconds, catching their breaths, and began speaking again. -You've done good up until now. I'm impressed! However, now it's the time when you prove me wrong. Show that you're not useless maggots, but fierce Digimon! I WANT TO SEE FEEL YOUR POWER! -Dorumon shouted, the crowd instantly answering.
-Sir! Yes Sir! -they said, the GeoGreymon looking at them from the main building while quirking an eyebrow. They were doing fine, but that was just a small jogging session in the morning, not actual training. It was then when the purple fox-like creature cleared its throat. -Well then. Pick a sparring partner, ladies! Groups of two were quickly formed, but not in the way he wanted to: they were paired with another Digimon of a similar size, and probably power. -Oh, you think this is a fucking vacation, don't you? News Flash: YOU ARE TRAINING! Let me make a few changes...
As he finished, the new pairings were much more peculiar: groups of contrasting sizes, species with different skills... What could the reason under all that be? -Now you'll experience the real world. You can't expect the enemy to be just like you, instead, adapt yourselves to them using the abilities that define you! So... begin, or I'll have you runing as if you were escaping from a rabid Cerberusmon!! -it finished with a shout.

They've all got the same heartbeat, but her's is falling behind. As they ran, AJ even joined in on the strange chant. It was odd, because the tune was almost familiar to her ears, but she couldn't quite place where she heard it.
When Tatsuya turned around to check on her, and said, -Keep it up, soldier! - AJ attempted to swat at him, but stumbled slightly, before righting herself, so she settled for her sticking her tongue out at the older boy. It seemed to be her reaction to most of his teasing.
When the jog was finally over, she bent over, breathing slightly. It seemed to not have affected Tatsuya at all, or either of their partners, but she was definitely out of shape, even with her slim body.
Next, Dorumon had the recruits picking partners, really mismatched partners from the look of it, but it seemed they were going to spar now.
Glancing up at the Kazan, she whispered, "Should we have our partners spar as well? Maybe set an example?" If Tatsuya said yes, then she could have Patch de-digivolve of course, but it would be interesting to see them spar after they had both come so far from that first fight in the alleyway.

Tatsuya teased Avery, earning himself a swatting attempt coming from the girl, but the boy couldn't help but to laugh even harder when she tripped as she tried hitting him with her hand, and smirked with a wink. The girl retorted with sticking her tongue out at him, making him chuckle and regain his previous rythm, muttering the chant as well to soften the atmosphere. The boy was slightly surprised when they stopped, for Avery bent over, panting. Yes, he knew that she wasn't into sports, but with her slim body he couldn't help but to expect a little bit of exercise on her part to stay that way.
-You okay, or will you need a piggy ride to go back later? -the boy said with a half-concerned, half-teasing voice. He was willing to do it, of course, but Tatsuya also wanted to see if Avery could manage herself should she have to run away at some point. A drop of cold sweat trickled down his neck, but it wasn't due to the running, no. It had nothing to do with it, of course, but there was no way for the girl to know about it, nor he wanted her to know.
-Well then, let's pay attention to our furry sargeant over here... I wouldn't want to do a hundred push-ups! -he joked, directing his attention at Dorumon telling the Digimon to spar. It was then when Avery suggested that their partners should give them a good example by doing it themselves first. The teen couldn't help but to smile, thinking that it could be a good chance to get the rematch Dorimon had asked after losing to Dracomon and Mikemon back at Cat Street.
-Alright, Avery. But I'm warning you... I'm much stronger than I were back at the time. Tatsuya! I don't want to hold back because it's Patch. After all, he gave it his all when we first fought! SOLDIERS! I WANT YOU TO PAY ATTENTION TO A REAL BATTLE! -the Digimon shouted, Tatsuya nodding in approval. -Alright then... let's go all out! -he said, pulling out his D-3, two words appearing on its screen. "WARP DIGIVOLUTION" With a flick of his hand, he pointed it at Dorumon, the Digivice firing an energy ray that was shot to his partner.
-Dorumon! Warp shinka...! -the Digimon called out as the beam of light engulfed him, his now glowing skin ripping from the top to the bottom, starting from his head. As it covered him completely, he spinned, becoming envelopped by a torrent of orange, blue and silver flash. From where his entire body stood, a muscular, dragon-like defined body took its place. His right paw became muscular as well, and the left one was covered by Chrome armor, giving it a futuristic, yet beast-like appearence. As his paws and tail made their way out of the flashes, the shining torrent faded, revealing a menacing head covered by a helmet made of Chrome Digizoid with dark red hair. Backflipping into the air, two rockets formed into his back and eight energy wings appeared, propelling him back into the ground. Its skin then took an orange hue with blue stripes.
-MetalGreymon X! -the Ultimate level roared, but then smiled towards their soon to be opponents. -So? What do you think? -he asked, curious about the opinion of their friends. The teen looked at Avery, mouthing a "He's really excited" to the fifteen year old girl.
