Return of the Hero [PLOT][CLOSED]

The could of dust continued to hide the fate of the hero for some time as the serpent's thrashing. The attack of Ghost's seemed successful upon hitting making the dragon's tail slip off the building a bit but just making it thrash about more, it's tail hitting other buildings now and smashing into them crushing metal and stone and glass and causing more panic from the crowd.
With three high level digimon on the case one would think a single Airdramon wouldn't be to much of an issue right? Well that would be the case if before Beverly or Ahnk could grab at it the beast's body burst into flames. The dragon pushed forward though the building his tail flicking out at Ahnk as he tried to grab his tail and hitting with much more force than a digimon of it's level should have. Maybe it had to do with those strange flames? They were even off color, the fire being white with blue tips. They seemed to radiate Holy energy if one could sense that, though the source wasn't so obvious.
The dragon pushed out toward the crowd possibly ramming Beverly with it's new found strength if she didn't move, it's body sliding though the building easier as it soon shoved it's whole form though, head poking out of the dust could now as Grappu Leomon clung to the beast's face, seeming to ride it seeming to ignore the holy blaze. The shots herodramon fired seeming to only make it close an eye for a moment. This was definitely no ordinary Airdramon, and who exactly sent it? Was this who was hunting him?
Regardless Yuu's efforts definitely seemed to be fruitful. The crowd followed his instruction , if clumsily and fled as he instructed, some still hiding behind chunks of rubble and others fleeing though clouds of dust to safety, only a few left by the time the serpent was free of the creaking building.
Airdramon flung it's head about thrashing and wiping it's flames though the air making it's head hard to get at, but it's tail was coiled up slightly now, making getting flicked again much less of an issue. However there was also the matter of the glass and metal tower starting to buckle, slowly starting to lean toward another large building next to it, huge shards of glass falling off it and shattering on the ground.

The Slickest Ball did connect, but before he could be grabbed, the Airdramon had bursted into flames. The flames did little to deter Beverly from getting closer. What were they going to do? Burn the non existant flesh off her right arm? But the tackle, well, that had to be avoided. And she did so.
Beverly whistled out loud, as if calling someone, and then went to Ghost. "Alright, just make sure he doesn't make too much of a mess. I got a building to take care of."
The two then split up, with Beverly heading to the building. In a puff of purple smoke, which quickly expanded, Bev's sized increased... or, really, went to normal, to 30 feet. Using her telekinesis, she removed the top area and proceeded to slowly set it down on its side where it was clear, being an area closer to the beach. It was going to collapse regardless, might as well not let the building collapse into anyone.
Ghost flew after the Airdramon. Hopefully the GrappuLeomon could still hold on, as it would be quite slippery as the dragon was still under the effects of Slickest Ball. She then saw Garm appear, being called by Beverly's whistle. Her made a large leap into the air, and started charging energy in his arms for his Sundowner Defend attack. Meanwhile, Ghost began to Hold a Lunar Orbit Ball.

Damn. Not even everyone's effort made it better. Maybe some of the residents could escape, but the Airdramon was something he had to take care of. It seemed that the whitish flame was the one powering it, much, much stronger. Even in his Mega form, Ankh could barely handle this wild guy if he was lenient. He needed much more force. Not to mention that his tail slapped the Mega on his face when he tried to grab it.
"Damn it! Just calm down already, you wild dragon!" Ankh groaned.
Now what wasn't better than, to fight fire with fire? Not to mention he could boost his power with fire as well. The flames emanated from his body, and it swirled around him before it came into his body. Now his power and speed were increased a lot, maybe at Beverly's level. It was the power of Flames of Desire.
"With this, it would be a lot easier." Ankh remarked. He then noticed Airdramon went free of the building and it made him to defeat that Airdramon easier. Ankh then pulled the gun on his left leg out and fired both his gun and cannon, aiming at the Airdramon.

Things definitely were getting really... weird. Apparently, this Airdramon was no ordinary Airdramon; Yuu had yet to see any similar Airdramon to produce flames of those strange colors, and that was not mentioning the fact that he actually looked to be way stronger than what his level gave out. Well, if Yuu thought that his partner's help would be null as a champion against an ultimate, now it was totally pointless to try. Kyo's attacks weren't precisely long-ranged anyway, and while he had a slew of attacks that could be classified as that... well, actually, maybe they could be useful.
Trying to get herself and Yuu out of the collapsing buildings that would undoubtedly produce a domino effect, Kyo deftly moved through the battlefield, regarding the attacks there were flying towards the Airdramon. As of now, it seemed that not much damage had been done to him and... now that she saw it, the Grappu Leomon was clinging into face of the beast.
Trusting in the hero's sense (and in her very own technique's wits), the wings on the vampire wolf's body opened themselves, releasing a stream of bats towards the Airdramon. While her Night Raid by itself wouldn't do any damage (she doubted that any of her abilities would do any damage, after all), the bats, if succesful, would serve to cloud the aerial dragon's vision and just prove to be a rather bothersome nuisance to him, making harder for it to either use any accurate attack or to dodge anything directed at him.

"Damm!" Henrique and Antonio both complained at the same time. They both hated that feeling of helplessness they were starting to get as the attack hit without any relevant effect. They needed to be able to do SOMETHING. But what?
Henrique looked at Antonio looking for commands, who in turn began to examine the situation around them. The refuges were being evacuated by another human and his partner, while a group of lone digimon kept fighting. They were clearly far more powerfull than Henrique, but not even them seemed to be doing such serious damage.
Antonio's attention was completly stolen back to the dragon as he bursted into strangely colored flames, exibiting power beyond what Antonio and Henrique innitially assumed. If they thought it wouldn't be all that easy to defeat that enemy before, it seemed almost impossible for them to do anything. Yet, as ut seemed there was little else they could do to help for now, they'd have to just keep on fighting.
The hero was now "riding" the Airdrampn, although with no control over the mount. The Airdramon detached from the building, yet it appeared the building itself was in no state to just have people in it.
"United Call!" Henrique shouted, a sphere made from an enormous variety of elements appearing on his hands before being hurled at the upper part of the wall that would collapse onto the inside of the building. If his attack could blast enough of it, then it would likely reduce the dmage done unto anyone still inside the building.

Things with the building were definitely not going well. While Beverly seemed to have had it under control another digimon decided to interfere and thus a large ball of many different colors of light flew at the structure as it was being lifted, about halfway though being moved. The attack collided spot on, however instead of helping it tore apart the side of the building, nullifying what integrity it had left and most likely disrupting the supermega's hold on it as half of it crumbled into pieces and rained on the people in the street below.
"HOW DARE YOU?!"
A roar rang out from the serpent, his mouth not moving to form the words however, was it telepathy? Or perhaps he wasn't talking... or he could just be one of those digimon who talk without moving their mouth. It's flails become more violent as it tried to fling off the Grappu Leomon. After a few more shakes the hero released his grip and was flung upwards into the air, flipping a few times as he clung to himself tightly like a cannonball before extending his limps to stabilize himself now floating in mid air.
"How dare I? How dare you! Sending one of you're hopelessly blind followers to attack me in the middle of such a populated area! Especially after it's already been devastated so! And all because of all of you!". Was the mega's reply, the Airdramon coiling up and preparing to lunge at him again before a swarm of bat's clouded his vision. He roared, pulling back in an attempt to escape the screeching smokescreen only to topple over the edge of what used to be the building behind him and to fall back into the rubble behind it, stirring up another sudden cloud of dust, though the dancing lights of his flames could be seen though it his outline wasn't clear in it.
Using the opportunity the hero looked to the allies that had gathered in the fighting and shouted over the cacophony of twisting metal and cries from the populace. "Surround him! We don't want this destruction to spread, we need to contain him and defeat him here."

Beverly's efforts seemed to have been thwarted, and by an ally at that! Once the attack hit, Beverly struggled to maintain her already tenuous telekinetic hold on the upper part of the building. Unfortunately, there was nothing she could do as the debris fell, but a larger chunk of the building was still held. That part was sat down, and then Bev turned to see who had done it. But as Ghost saw Henrique and Anto perform the attack, she mentally relayed it to the Galaclivamon.
She gave a quick, angry glare at the two, but said nothing. Now wasn't the time.
Garm's attack plan was halted by the Sangloupmon's bats, and in blinded anger fell onto a building and fell down. Momentarily dazed, the GrappuLeomon saw this as an oppritunity to strike as he remained in the air. He wanted to contain it? Well, Bev doubt the Airdramon could offer much in the way of info but, well, might as well do what this "hero" she never heard of says.
Bev would use her Seething Fear on the grounded dragon, using dark tentacles to drag it into a bubbling pool of darkness before both the enemy and the pool vanished. Whether or not the flames would remain or go away (as per the attacks debuffing properties), she didn't know. But after a few moments, the Airdramon would appear in the air, Ghost would use this time to use her Orbit Ball, which upon connection would cause the dragon to revolve around the smoky sphere a bit before exploding, sending it away from the city and towards the sea. Garm prepared another attack, but ran after the airdramon to ensure it wouldn't do anything else.

And so, they're attack didn't turn out all that well. Too late they realised that there was someone telephatically holding the building, which caused the bursting of part of it to help less than it screwed things up.
Antonio gave the super-mega digimon a shamefull smile as she glared at him and Henrique angrily. The herodramon facepalmed: he warned Antonio that they shouldn't get into those kinds of things. They would have been more helpful by simply running away with the crowd.
However, after a one sided chit-chat (or what appeared to be one), the Grappuleomon ordered those trying to defend the place to contain the Airdramon. Henrique nodded and ran, trying to get into a uncovered position. Hoepfully he'd be better at following the hero's orders than he was at trying things on his own.
"United Call!" the Herodramon yelled, hurling another sphere of elements, this time at the Airdramon.

Beverly's attempt to move out the building failed, all thanks to a foolish Digimon and his tamer. Ankh gave the two an angry glare, before heading back to the Airdramon. Apparently, the GrapLeomon was launched by that Airdramon before he floated midair... and roared at Airdramon to add the distraction from of the bats before going down. Hmph, for a hero, he's a not big talk. Ankh wouldn't waste a time on him, either.
"Come on, Hero! If you're really a hero, don't just sit back and watch, help us, damn it!" Ankh snapped at the GrapLeomon. Ankh then shot another batch of explosive feathers from his cannon at the Airdramon, as Beverly came up with her attacks. Sure, the whitish flame was powerful, but hopefully his Flame of Desire on his body could counteract it.

OOC: Pega, if I understood Meip's post correctly, the one blinded by Kyo's bats was the Airdramon (and Garm, but that's a sidenote), not Grappu Leomon. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.
Kyo's Night Raid had been a partial success. While she had impeded Airdramon from attacking the Grappu Leomon, she had also impeded a blue doglike and quite weird digimon from doing whatever it had planned. At least she had made herself useful, even in her lowly champion form. This wasn't the time for self-praise, however. One of their allies apparently had done something wrong? Yuu hadn't seen what had happened, too concentrated on the fight to notice more than a sphere than missed the Airdramon, but not more than that.
The Grappu Leomon then commanded for them to surround the Airdramon in hopes of 'containing' it. Both members of the pair was quite puzzled at this, due the sheer size of the thing, realizing that only Galaclivamon was big enough to stand face-to-face against him. However, if the ultimate wanted some aerial support, they could do that.
Yuu gripped his D-3 with determination as he said a silent 'Digimental UP'; instants later, Kyo's body further evolved into her Mantaraymon X shape and soon after she gained an enormous burst of speed due to her Surge ability. She flew, searching for any opening Airdramon could use to escape this place, effectively trying to contain him.
Surge remaining duration: 3 posts.

The Hero gritted his teeth above the city. "We can't just go at this haphazardly, there are other lives at risk, I'm trying to minimize the damage. Which is why we need to keep it contained while we focus on also destroying it quickly. I would usually try to appeal however this one is far beyond lost, blinded by those he serves.", he growled in response to Ahnk's shouts.
The attacks from the crew flew forward into the dust disturbing patches of it as roars were heard, it seemed each attack hit it's mark too, the feathers exploding as well on impact. It was obvious from the noises how much pain the monster was in. Then as the black tendrils further encircled him about to pull him down, the holy flames would suddenly burn brighter and brighter until with a roar the darkness was dispersed and the flames erupted further into an inferno. With the beast's mouth agape it shot a holy energy blast from it's mouth forward, seemingly aimlessly at the city.
Reacting fast, Grappu threw himself in front of the beam, aiming to take the brunt of the holy attack to spare more of the city, arms crossed n front of him and teeth grit as the beast taunted him.
"Do you really think such dark powers would work against one so holy! Ha Fools! I may be weakening but at least I can take this one with me! I will fulfill my duty to my sovereign." it spoke again even though it's mouth was occupied with the attack. The beast looked quite damaged as his body was revealed now, out of the cover of the dust created by the rubble as he kept up the beam attack, still on the ground as well, somehow the holy energy had countered Beverly's black tendrils.
Though it didn't seem he'd be able to stand much more, though he kept up his holy onslaught the beam intensity increasing as Grappu continued to take the brunt.

Beverly's attack was nullified! This prompted a few choice curses from her part, and the Airdramon had revealed what happened. Apparently his flames were so holy that it cancelled out her Seething Fear. Just... fantastic. This also meant her Ragna Blade would be less effective as well. Especially with what he had done next.
He flew up and fired a massive beam at the city, with only the GrappuLeomon at the moment holding it off. Bev's options were limited. It would take too long to charge up Ragna Blade or Imperial Laser, and Ghost's Lunar Orbit Ball just might cause more trouble. There was also Indignant claw but... Beverly was, rightfully so, apprehensive about sticking her arm into something burning. Again.
"Ghost, I'm leaving this to you."
Ghost looked at Bev, shocked. But Bev was already mentally preparing herself for what she wanted Ghost to do. The HyldenImpmon flew to, and into, the Galaclivamon, causing black light to surround the two. Once it started to die down, six strong lasers shot from the light. The light began to reveal and odd sort of dragon digimon, armless, but with 6 black hands, if Dark attacks won't work, fine, but let's see how well it will stand up to Ihadramon.

Alright, looks like this was interesting to the most. That Airdramon was surrounded by holy flames, that nullified dark attacks such as Galaclivamon's Seething Fear. But maybe there was something he could do with that, okay? But his talking being a holy Digimon irks him. Why would a Holy Digimon would go after a hero, such as GrapLeomon? It was too... shady. And that GrapLeomon moved to take the blast too. Fortunately, he was stronger than he looked.
"I don't care if you're holy or wicked, but there's weak Digimons around here! You wouldn't give damn to them, would you?!" Ankh snarked at the Airdramon before shooting him again with batches of dynamite feathers after the Mantaraymon X contained him.
"Now tell me where is your master! Or at least let me have a word with him, and we'll spare you free after we're done with you." Ankh said to the Airdramon.

Henrique growled as his attack seemed to sort no effect on the Airdramon, though he wasn't sure if the attack even hit. He felt useless. Sure, the attacks of the other digimon, who were far ahead of him in terms of level, weren't doing much effect either, but nevertheless all that Henrique had done so far only helped make things worse. He could try digivolving to champion again, but if super-mega's weren't being able to do the job, then certainly the problem wasn't level. But what could it be?
The Aidramon spoke, perhaps providing a clue. It mentioned that his powers were holy and that he'd take the GrappuLeomon to this "Sovereign" of his. The digimon then used an attack of his own, which the hero took. With the Airdramon still channeling the attack, Henrique tried to think about what he just heard. Maybe the answer didn't lie in the power itself, but in the kind of power? If they used holy abilities against this digimon, would it work? Henrique didn't have such an attack, yet he knew where he could get it. Still, it would be dangerous.
"Holy powers? I don't what you mean by that, but I know that terrorizing a population and kidnapping someone isn't "holy", it's oppression." Antonio shouted, angry at the dragon for his words. It was frustatring how little he could do, he just wanted to have the chance to help.
Henrique looked at Antonio, and the boy understood Immediatly. Was Henrique really gonna do it, could he take the effort it could bring? Henrique was clearly looking for Antonio's approval before he did. Antonio looked around, to the city. So much damage arledy done. They had to help. Antonio looked to Henrique and nodded.
"Rescue of the Unbound!" Henrique shouted, reaching with his arm at the the Airdramon's attack. If the technique worked, then the Airdramon's attack's damage would be split between him and Henrique evenly, instead of anywhere else.

Apparently, the containment was working, on big part thanks to Grappu Leomon's efforts. Unluckily, it seemed that the now-holy digimon was hellbent on taking said Leomon to the afterlife with it.
However, neither Yuu nor Kyo understood why the heck these guys were wasting time with words or things like that when the Airdramon only seemed to be hellbent on causing damage, but that wasn't the point right now. The Airdramon was more or less contained now, so they only had to make de coup de grace before more damage could be made. It was a difficult decision for the Mantaraymon X, but seeing that the Airdramon was just focused on the Grappu Leomon, she just went with it.
She began gathering an enormous amount of electricity in front of her head, concentrating it into the shape of a ball. When it was ready, she took aim at the offending dragon and released her Zap Cannon towards it. Probably it wouldn't be as powerful as the attacks that the megas and the super megas were throwing at him, but it just seemed that they could use all the help they could get in bringing this guy down before further damage could be made.
