In spite of Ryouta's words, Mana had already decided to get up. Honestly, even if she didn't want to get up, she wanted to meet her boyfriend's siblings, and that wish trounced her desires to stay on the bed on a rather absurd fashion.
As she was showered with questions and affectionate words by the twins, she couldn't but smile widely at the two girls as she tried her best to answer their questions, but getting lost more often than not due to the quick and plentiful nature of their inquiries.
She didn't heard Renya's and Ryouta's exchange, but she had noted his expression of pure disbelief. Wondering why it seemed so weird to him, the question lingered on his mind, and she made a mental note to ask him about that later.
Luckily, that mental note was scribbled fast enough, because at the mere mention of the word 'cake', her eyes brightened on that very moment and she let out a smile at him.
"Well, what do you think about that, girls?" She asked with a grin. "I'm totally up to some cake. Maybe down there I can tell okaa-san about all this stuff too! She was rather curious about it, and that way everybody would get to know me."

Of course the answer is clear. both girls gently pulled her downstairs. Looking at their antics, Ryouta chuckled and pat his little brother on the head, asking him simple question of 'are you coming?' Of course the two quickly followed the three girls. Ryouta was right on time to see his father, all dressed in his usual chef outfit smiled at him. Ryouta's father looks like him, but older and more like the typical handsome guy. Unlike his mother, his father can easily pass as his brother anytime.
"Hi, 'tou-san," Ryouta greeted, smiling wryly. He just hope that Mana doesn't thought that the man is his long lost older brother instead. The man smiled back at him. "Welcome home," he greeted back in surprisingly deep voice. "I know it's not a good idea to directly eat something like my usual ice cream cake, so once again..."
"Chocolate lava cake? Yeah. Good going, 'tou-san. But could you at least make something other? I already... gave them your---"
"Ah, is that so? Then maybe I can make some fruit gratin for you all... But before that..."
Gentlemanly, he took Mana's hand and smiled at her. "May I have your name, young miss?"

Before she got what was happening, Ino and Kizu were both pulling the brunette downstairs. Just as they had said, Ryouta's father was downstairs, and the resemblance between them was astounding. She hadn't seen anyone resembling to his father on that level. She smiled at the older man as he exchanged pleasantries with his son, pondering what kind of cake they'd make to go with the chocolate lava cake they already had. The girl was ecstatic at the situation, almost not noticing the older man advancing towards her and taking her hand. She was a little flustered at that show of manners, but quickly composed herself and beamed back at Ryouta's father.
"It's good to finally meet you, otou-san! My name's Tsumura Mana, but being that uptight isn't needed, so feel free to call me as you see fit!"
She just stood there, smiling at the man and grasping Ryouta's hand withing her own, as if waiting for further inquiries or anything on that matter. To be honest with herself, things were going on such a smooth fashion that Mana couldn't but feel a little sad for the time when Ryouta would finally have to meet her parents. That wouldn't be easy. At all.

"Geez, 'tou-san... Mana isn't a girl that likes to be treated formally. Let's cut it out, alright?" Ryouta scolded the older man who smiled apologetically to Mana. "Don't mind him, Mana-chan. He's always a romantic guy that tries to act like a gentleman. While it works for his female customers, I can't say it works to you, luckily. Peoples just cannot see he's well over twenty and is actually three years older than me!" Ryouta's mother added, chuckling at the last remark.
"You know, there's this a funny thing when I was twelve... I saw my Otou-san got flirted by high school girls and being a meek guy he is, he just seem cannot tell them outright that he's married, in his thirties and is actually expecting his son to drop by anytime for his birthday..." Ryouta told Mana that as if to tease his father, who sighed immediately when he heard that coming.
"It was his birthday, and I'm preparing some cake when suddenly they just come, ask me something and all... like always, I tried to be helpful, but..."
"But they misunderstood his gentlemanly manner that he's some sort of casanova, not a guy who actually just love to treat girls like they're some ojou-san," Ryouta explained. "Needless to say, I approached him and called him out that they finally noticed that he's in fact, AN OLD MAN."
The whole family, his father included laughed at that. "You should've looked at their face! It's just priceless! They want to look at him dirtily because he's some oji-san, but they can't because they flirted with him first!"

At the son scolding the father, Mana couldn't but let out a good-natured giggle, almost laughing too loud at the addition of Ryouta's mother's commentary.
However, the proverbial cake was when they told her about him being flirted by high-school students; sure, he looked to be young, and definitely seemed to be a nice person, but the brunette couldn't imagine hitting on him any time soon; maybe out of respect, now that she knew that she was rather old, but something about it just unsettled her on a really deep level.
"Well, it seems that otou-san has been through good times." She commented offhandedly on a joking manner. "I can only imagine those schoolgirls flustered because their blunder. Seeing that firsthandedly must have been pure gold."
The joyous atmosphere served to ease the previously small worries she had about meeting her boyfriend's family. Now that she knew everyone, she, for some reason that she couldn't exactly define, felt strangely at ease. She felt a sense of belonging, even if it was on a small degree due to the suddeness of what had happened and the fact that she felt a little awkward due to the clothes she was currently wearing. This was almost as the family she had always wanted to fer, and for those moments, she genuinely felt happy.
